In the early 1990s, New York City's LGBTQ community was searching for connection during one of its darkest chapters. Amid the AIDS crisis, neighborhood bars became places to gather, build friendships, relationships and just belonging.
Then men began disappearing.
In Part 1 of our three-part series on Last Call, we step away from the headlines and focus on the lives of Peter Stickney Anderson and Thomas Richard Mulcahy—two men whose stories deserve to be remembered long before they became victims and newspaper headlines. As investigators struggle to make sense of two brutal murders, the first hints of a terrifying pattern begin to emerge.
Content Warning: This episode contains discussions of murder, violence, dismemberment, and anti-LGBTQ discrimination that may be disturbing to some listeners.
