The Green Bay Packers just held the most physically intense and emotionally charged practice of the entire 2026 training camp — and the fireworks coming out of Ray Nitschke Field today have Packers Nation buzzing from Titletown to every locker room in the NFC North! The ramped-up intensity from Sunday's practice carried over to Tuesday — and two guys remained right in the middle of all the action, doing their part to bring the juice: Tucker Kraft and Zaire Franklin. During today's training camp practice, Kraft delivered a physical finish against Franklin after catching a pass in the flat — lowering his shoulder and knocking Franklin backward on the perimeter before the two began chirping at each other — with Josh Jacobs and Jayden Reed among the teammates hyping Kraft up after the collision. Franklin joked afterward: "Coach makes us put shoulder pads on, so I got to make sure they work. That's all that is." But the Kraft-Franklin chippy exchange was just the opening act — the practice also featured a scuffle between Chris Brooks and Zaire Franklin, a more involved brawl after Chris McClellan landed hard on Pierre Strong Jr. — leading to McClellan and offensive tackle Travis Glover punching and shoving with the sidelines clearing — and edge rusher Barryn Sorrell pushing tackle Anthony Belton all the way into quarterback Jordan Love, getting ripped from the drill and torn into by a furious Matt LaFleur — the most significant individual coaching confrontation of the entire 2026 training camp. The tone at 1265 Lombardi Avenue has completely shifted — and it is exactly the kind of championship-caliber competitive fire that wins games in January. Green Bay Packers + 3

In this complete Day 21 training camp highlights breakdown and full Kraft-Franklin fight and LaFleur tone shift reaction, we dive into:

• Tucker Kraft Is BACK And He Is Not Playing Around: Kraft and Franklin actually got into it a little bit in last summer's joint practice in Indianapolis, when Franklin was with the Colts — and Franklin claims he doesn't remember it, but as for the here and now, the veteran linebacker has a ton of respect for how Kraft plays the game. The significance of today's physical collision goes far beyond the individual play — it is the clearest possible signal that Tucker Kraft is not easing his way back from ACL surgery. He is attacking every rep with the same violent, championship-caliber physicality that made him the most important offensive weapon on the entire Green Bay Packers roster before his injury on November 2nd. The starters will play again in the second preseason game in Denver — but that will be it — making today's physical reps the most important individual performance evaluation Kraft will have before the September 13th opener at Minnesota. • LaFleur's Tone Shift — The Most Important Coaching Moment Of Training Camp: Barryn Sorrell was ripped from the drill and torn into by Matt LaFleur after pushing Anthony Belton all the way into Jordan Love — with The Athletic's Matt Schneidman describing LaFleur as having "finally seen it one too many times" after the defense got too close to Love on more than one occasion late in practice. The message LaFleur sent by publicly confronting Sorrell in front of the entire roster is the most significant individual coaching moment of the entire 2026 training camp — a direct declaration that protecting Jordan Love's body is a non-negotiable standard that supersedes any individual competitive drive, no matter how impressive a player's camp has been. • The Three Interceptions That Tell The Defensive Story: The defense came up with three interceptions — Brandon Cisse undercut an out route by Matthew Golden that Love slightly underthrew, Kitan Oladapo picked off Love to end a two-minute period, and Jaylin Simpson picked off Tyrod Taylor with an over-the-shoulder interception deep down the sideline — delivering the most complete and jaw-dropping defensive performance of the entire training camp in the same practice that featured three separate physical altercations. The ball-hawking culture Jonathan Gannon promised when he arrived at 1265 Lombardi Avenue is not just a concept anymore — it is a daily reality on the practice field. ESPN
• The Edgerrin Cooper-Franklin Interception Was Art: Jordan Love tried to fit a ball into a tight window to Christian Watson at the goal line — Edgerrin Cooper deflected the ball several feet up — and Franklin brought it down for the interception. Franklin said "Coop made a great play. The ball was in the air, and X is a good teammate. He let me catch it." McKinney replied: "Nah, he was gonna get that anyway. He was closer to it than I was." The easy camaraderie between McKinney and Franklin in the postgame presser is the most encouraging locker room chemistry moment of the entire camp — and the combination of their leadership with Gannon's new scheme is the defensive identity the 2026 Green Bay Packers are going to bring to Minnesota on September 13th. • What Today's Intensity Means For The Championship Window: The starters will play in Denver on Thursday night — and that will be it for the regulars in the preseason — meaning today's chippy, physical, fight-filled practice is the last major evaluation day before Jordan Love, Tucker Kraft, Brandon Cisse, and the entire starting defense put on pads for their final dress rehearsal against Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos. The tone has shifted at 1265 Lombardi Avenue — the laughs of Family Night are behind them, the Pittsburgh loss is behind them, and the most important regular season opener of the Matt LaFleur era is 26 days away.
