And today we have a very special guest and someone that I have known for many years and somebody who has elevated the spiritual industry, who has really helped speakers and authors share their message onto stage. And this is my dear friend, Liz Dawn. Thank you, Liz, for joining us. You created with your mom, Celebrate Your Life, and you have had some of the biggest speakers on your platform in this industry. I mean, unbelievable. we have. And first of all, I'm so excited to be on your podcast with you. This is such an honor. Thank you so much for asking me to do this. Of course, of course. Liz, tell everybody how Mishka Productions, which is Celebrate Your Life, got started because it's kind of an interesting story. Okay, so here we go. So first of all, the official company name is Mishka Productions and Mishka was our family dog. I've got a little picture of her right here. This was Mishka. And we're branded. People know us as Celebrate Your Life events. So... Most people don't know the name of the company, but they'd certainly know us about Celebrate Your Life events. So here's what happened. I was living in Los Angeles and my acting career actually just kind of imploded, right? So what type of acting were you doing? So I did a lot of regional theater. And when I had moved to Los Angeles, I was doing a little bit of commercial work, still trying to do regional theater. And I needed a break. I became extremely underweight, barely a hundred pounds. And mom said to me, why don't you just come to my house? She'll ask for a couple of months and then you can go back to LA, do some healing. So, right. She was like the mom intervention. And she said to me, besides the point there's going to be an earthquake in LA. I was like, no mom, there's no earthquake. We had earthquakes all the time. And lo and behold, a few months later was the really, really, really big one. and I was living in the valley at time. And of course we were deeply affected and our building was condemned, but I wasn't there. I was in Arizona with my mom. ⁓ wow. I know she was a little bit woo woo and psychic herself. And she actually got me started on my spiritual path when I was like 16 years old. So here I am in Arizona, didn't know what to do with myself. Acting gigs were few and far between in Arizona. So I decided to go to work in this little spiritual bookstore. It was a friend of my mom's who was running the bookstore. And I had had event activity experience. I was the activities director for a 4,200 unit townhouse community in the heart of the Fairfax district called Park La Brea. So I was kind of like Julie on the love boat, if you could imagine that. I love that. Right? So this woman who owned the bookstore turned to me one day and said, there's this really good book that I just know is gonna be hugely successful. This man was giving it away from the back of his car, from the trunk of his car. Please read the book and tell me if you'd like to do an event, I would like to sponsor the event. So I went home, I read the book. I actually read the book overnight. It was such a great book. It still is such a great book. And I came back the next day and I said, yes, let's do this. So I did this event and we had 1600 people standing room only. The name of the book is The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield. That book is amazing. changed my life. know. Well, by that time Time Warner had picked it up. It became a huge New York Times bestseller sensation. It was number one for about three years. It broke publishing industry records. Right. So we did this event and during this whole process, ⁓ my mom and I became friends with James and his wife, Sally. So then I eventually left the bookstore and I'm getting ready to go back to LA and I get a phone call and I'm doing this because this is how we talked on the phone. I get a phone call from his wife saying, I just got published with Time Warner, would you do an event for me? And I said, well, I'm no longer with the bookstore and I'm headed to LA and I don't know how to do this. And Sally said, yes, you do know how to do this. Liz, please do this for me. So with very little money in my pocket, I turned to my mom and said, I don't know how to do this. I don't have money to do this. My mom loaned me $1,500. Wow. This is 1995, you guys. So there's a lot of money back then. Exactly. $1,500 is like, I don't know, $5,000 now maybe. So I set up a phone line in her dining room on an old desk in her little townhouse. And I did this event and I went to call the newspaper to say that I wanted to place some ads in the local newspaper. And they said to me, well, what's the name of your company? And I went, company? Okay, let me get back to you on that. And so our family dog, Mishka had just passed away. That's how the name Mishka Productions came about. So we did the event. It was standing room only. My mom was helping me with all the organizational pieces, which is not necessarily my forte. My forte is letting people know about things. I love doing PR and marketing and all those juicy things. And at the time we didn't have internet guys, there was no internet. So this was walking around, handing out flyers. And so after that event, I started to get phone calls from other bestselling authors in this industry, including Wayne Dyer. Wow. That's how they met Wayne Dyer because he heard that I was working with Carlos Castaneda and he contacted me wanting to meet Carlos Castaneda. I didn't know who Wayne was at the time. No, I knew who Loss was and I knew who the Dolly lot. But I didn't know who Wayne was. at any rate, that's how we get connected with Wayne. And so from that point on, from 1995 until we're in 2025 now, so it's been 30 years since that time my mom has transitioned into spirit. And I know that she's with me energetically. Like, I mean, you've seen her around, Lisa. Yes. And we created a conference called celebrate your life. That's where celebrate your life events come from. do. big conferences, we do smaller retreats, we do women's summits with speakers such as the fabulous, the famous world renowned Lisa Williams, with Deepak Chopra, the late and great Wayne Dyer, Neil Donald Walsh, Denise Lin, Colette Baron-Reed, John Holland, Greg Braden, Dr. Joe Dispenza, Bruce Lipton, Dr. Sue Mortar, I don't want to forget anyone, Anita Morshani, with hundreds and hundreds of speakers that have been on our stage since. 1995. it's, yeah, you've had a lot of you had a lot of smart set a lot of it, a lot of Vans and who else you've had Lisa Nichols, you've had Lisa Ling, Melissa Harris Perry, who was that was at our Women's Summit, Elizabeth Gilbert, Glennon Doyle, Martha Beck, you had them all you you've gone across the gamut. I love this. So, you know, you and I, we work together and we're here actually, We want to give people the opportunity to be a speaker. I've got lots of questions that I want to ask you, Liz, because I think in this industry, the industry has changed. And I think the industry has massively changed. What do you think has happened with regards to the spiritual industry? You have been with some of the greatest teachers. You've been with Wayne Dybin, with everybody, everybody in this whole space. What has changed in this industry that has become probably the most challenging thing for you? Well, the challenging piece for me is that there's so much content online and people are sitting behind their computers, by themselves, behind their computers and not realizing that a lot of the transformation that does happen is really in the space, is when you're with people. is when you're with your soul tribe, is when you're with people that can have thought-provoking, heartfelt conversations. Now, not that the online classes are not a good thing, because I do think that it has absolutely served its purpose. mean, for instance, you and I are teaching an online course, and I think it definitely serves its purpose when you're doing longer pieces of content, when you're teaching something that's, you know, four, five, six months. However, with the live events, There is nothing like being face to face with your favorite teacher and with all of these people who gather from all over the globe. Now we are getting back to that. I'm super, super excited to share that we just did an event with about 500 people ⁓ with different speakers as well. And so I'm really excited that we're getting back to that kind of platform because I have seen what happens when we're in the space and the magic that happens when we are able to connect with our community, when we're able to connect with people heart to heart. I've seen actually people connect so deeply that they've gotten married. ⁓ my gosh, that's amazing. I've people meet at our events. They become soul sisters or soul brothers and best friends. And also ⁓ two people in particular did find their soul mates at. events which is kind of cool. that's amazing. you know when we look at the industry and we look at what's changed is the fact that people are sitting behind this square box and they're sitting here and do you find that people are now having anxiety about coming out into the world about going in because we were so locked away for such a period of time do you feel that people are having anxiety about coming back into that space? I think I did it first, but not as much now. So we all have different personalities. Some of us are introverts, some of us are extroverts. Some of us love going out there and meeting new people. But what I have found is that it's really enabled the introverts to not step out of their homes. Now we've been live streaming a lot of our programs as well. And the feedback that I've received, all of the live stream is lovely. It doesn't help to stretch people. Right. So if you are one of those people that you cannot, that it's really hard for you to be in public, being behind a square box kind of enables you just to sit in a square box. I do find when people come in in this space heart to heart, I just think that that's where the transformation happens. I mean, I've got thousands and thousands of feedback forms from the events that we've done all these 30 years. And I get the same thing over and over again. There's just nothing like being there in person. There's nothing like being in community because you can feel so alone, you know, in your journey, in your spiritual path, looking, you know, sitting behind a computer with no one to like go to lunch with and have these conversations or get together in groups. And that's what happens at the events is that you actually get to meet people. I actually, having been in this space myself and actually done online courses, I do find that my commitment level is not quite there. I feel that when I'm actually in the space, I'm forced to be there. People are like, let's go here, let's go there, let's do this, let's do that. Where I feel if I'm in my little space here, my commitment isn't quite there. I can get distracted by the postman or by the Amazon or by needing food or going to the bathroom. my commitment isn't as... deeper and there's a lot more distractions. But I also, when I was teaching, I used to always have, especially in COVID, I used to have these moments where I'm like, I'm gonna put everyone into a breakout room because it was like that meeting over the coffee station or meeting at the water station or meeting in the bathrooms, you know, and that you would just chat. And I think we tried to recreate it, but it didn't quite work. know, and I think, you know, it just, doesn't quite work. anyway, so I want to talk here because you know, you and I are creating a speakers program. And before we I want to address one more thing. Go ahead. The other thing that happens at a Celebrate Your Life event, and I don't think other conferences necessarily do this or they don't, I don't know, but we really encourage people meeting each other. So prior to coming to an event, you're in a private chat together. All the attendees are meeting one another prior to even showing up in the space. And then, We include meals in our programs so people can break bread together and we have fun together. And sometimes we even have dance parties where we bring someone in and you can learn the line dance too. We did that in our Washington retreat where we all got up and learned the Jerusalemma. So there's the fun factor. There is the fun factor. It's not just sitting and listening to workshops or, you know, we're talking head, there's participation. There's experiential exercises. Lisa, you do this a lot in your healing workshops, which is so amazing. Where you really get people together to work as partners, to really sit and talk to each other, to do readings with each other, to do experiential healings together. And so yes, you can do that online, but it's not as in depth. You can't get that rich experience. So I just wanted to say, and it's funny. No, it's true. It's true. That richness is not. is not there. know, and you and I are going to be teaching, though it's online, which we'll talk about in a second, but I feel that you, I've got loads of questions here. I feel that you have sat in front of so many different people. And I would love to hear from Liz Dawn's perspective, some of the greatest things that you have learned through these spiritual teachers. What are some of the key moments that you have gone, wow, I'm taking that home and I'm now using that, I'm doing that. What are some of those? And from who? Okay, number one, and you'll know who this teacher is right away. I am the most important person in my world. I am the most important person in my life. And I recently learned that at a Santa Fe healing retreat that was so magnificent, every other... every other session or every other moment, every other sentence, I was learning something. And that was with the beautiful, the wonderful, the very, very gifted and talented Lisa Williams. Thank you. Yeah. That was one of my biggest takeaways. And it actually, for me, what it did was it cut those cords of that codependent behavior that I consistently do, not only with people around me in relationships, but also with my business. So yeah. And the other thing I learned during that one as well, and you didn't say this outright, but you said it through in weaving in the messages is that when you have a wake up call in your life, pay attention to it. And I know that sounds super like benign, but for me in the moment, it was extremely important and you know why. And so it's to pay attention to those wake up calls and not still be asleep and to watch yourself. The other thing, the other thing I definitely learned a lot was, and this was really from, from Wayne Dyer and from Joe Dispenza is, and from you as well though, because you teach, you teach about the brain and the neuro pathways and how we have to basically, you, you change your thoughts. It will change your feelings and it will change your actions. So if I'm having thoughts every day that I'm not confident or I don't feel good enough or, or, ⁓ this is never going to happen for me. Well, that. immediately changes my feelings. Because if you think, if we sit here thinking right now that ⁓ I don't feel good about yourself or myself, right? Then you're gonna feel lousy, right? And then you're gonna take lousy action. However, if you flip that switch, and again, Wayne taught this, you've taught this, Joe Dispenza has taught this. ⁓ Byron Katie a little bit, but mostly Wayne, Joe and you have taught me to... stop that negative thinking in its tracks to change my thoughts immediately because when I have a loving thought about myself, when I have a kind thought and compassionate and loving thought about myself, a gentle thought about myself, it changes my feeling. It changes my beingness. It's like, yeah, the energy is just like, ⁓ yeah, I am good. I am okay. I am confident. I am a strong woman. Well, that makes me feel uplifted. It makes me have feelings that serve my life rather than deplete my life. And then it helps me to take actions that serve my life rather than deplete my life, right? And how has that helped you in your personal life? Because, know, you're, you know, a lot of people probably think, ⁓ you're with these spiritual teachers and you're doing this, but how have you actually brought that in? Because you found love at a later age. You found love, you know, at... You know, you weren't 20 and this was a journey that you were doing. How did you incorporate that message into meeting Jeff? Well, I was 50 when I got married. I usually tell people I was 49 because I used to say 40 first time bride at 49, but it was really I had just turned 50. Yeah, nothing like that. I struggled a lot with dating, with relationships. I struggled terribly because I was ⁓ intimidated by real men. I was intimidated by grown-up men. And here I was working with Wayne and Neil Tomlid-Walsh and Deepak and men who I felt were grown-up, know, older than I am, had a great career, were healthy, you emotionally and physically, mentally and spiritually. And whenever I would get around them, and here I have to work with them, right? I would get like toe-tied. And whenever I went on a date, you know, with a real man, I would get super tongue-tied and feel really, really, really insecure. And so I realized that this was a hole in me and it wasn't about the other person. This was, I had to be very reflective about myself and my own behavior. So I started to do these exercises again that I've learned from those three teachers who I was just talking about. And I thought, okay, what if I did this on a regular basis? What if I sat down? And I actually wrote this out, like thoughts that don't serve me, feelings that don't serve me, actions that doesn't serve me, and then flip the switch to thoughts, feelings, and actions that do serve me. And then what I did was, so I did this exercise and then I would visualize myself in a really difficult situation and feel myself and see myself coming through it like a rock star. So I did this exercise every single day for months. And then it wasn't something that I necessarily noticed a change like, oh, I'm just so different now. Yeah. However, the next time, and I say Deepak because this was the next like grownup man in my client world that came in for an event. And I noticed how much more relaxed I was with him. I was like, Hey, Deepak, you want to go have lunch? And like, we hung out and talked about life stuff. I was just like, wow, it wasn't like I went into it with any type of conscious thought. It just, you know, as you've talked about, it worked on my neuro pathways, worked on on the subconscious ⁓ chatter that wasn't the truth about myself. It wasn't true that I wasn't enough. wasn't true that I wasn't a smart woman. It's that wasn't the truth. So as I did this, so as I started to date, I did this, I just noticed that the men I was meeting, I was a lot more at ease with them. I was a lot more confident. I was a lot more comfortable with them. And so when I met Jeff, I met him on match.com. And- It's a successful story, I love it. Yes, and so I was able to talk to him like an intelligent, strong woman who was my chronological age rather than- reverting to a younger part of myself. Right. Because that's what we do. We act and react from our childhood wounding. We act and react from the place that we are wounded from. And we don't realize we're actually doing that. And we don't realize we're projecting our fears onto somebody else. And what we actually need to do is heal that part of our body to then go into that part of ourself. And then it heals part of our body, but it also heals our our communications, the way that we talk to people, the way that we introduce ourselves, the way that we act in the world and the way that we show up. And I love this story because what it's done is that you're a product of the work that you heard. You're a product of the work that you did. You did it. Yes. And what I just want to like throw something your way is everyone knows you as this renowned, amazing spiritual medium and you are all of that. I mean, I've been in the room with you with 1,200, 1,300 people when you've brought people to their knees. And I will never forget that reading that you did. I mean, I've seen you do hundreds of reading, that one very profound one of the mother who lost her child and the whole room was in tears. The information coming through you was so vivid and so clear and so accurate. And what I love about your work is that you've always worked on yourself. You've always worked on your own personal growth journey, your own relationship journey, and we've had many conversations about that. But now what you're doing is that you're bringing all of the information and all of the things that you've done in your own life to the forefront and shifting, not that you're not doing your spiritual medium work, but I love the way in which you're growing and shifting and presenting to audiences because I think this is the growth that's needed right now is the healing work that you've been doing is the emotional, the mental and the physical healing work that you're doing. So I'm, I'm blessing you. Thank you. You know, I appreciate that because I think in so many ways, the psychic medium, and I've spoken about this on the show before, the psychic medium and the mediumship, well, psychic and the mediumship is great, but I don't feel, I feel as though it scratches the surface to the deep healing that we have to do. You know, I was working with somebody recently on the show where there's some deep core wounding. In fact, we've made a double episode of her, but the deep core wounding that she has. because of circumstances that happen. There's got to be some form of way that now she's navigating her life and potentially there could be some health issues. There could be a lot of other things that are coming out and unless people are actually working on themselves continually and they're not, this is a reason why I'm writing the book about how grief impacts our body. If we start to recognize what is going on, you know, then we have more of an awareness and we start going, ⁓ I can't just say, ⁓ I'm letting that go because what is really letting go? Letting go is not dealing with it. But actually if you face it, you deal with it. You understand it. Like I have done many times, you know, I did it with my own husband. We faced it, we dealt with it. We come to terms with it. Now we're so much better off. And rather than living from that wound of Fear, repeat, fear. It's that rinse and repeat that happens. yeah. 100 % agree. 100 % agree. Thank you for sharing that. So, you know, we... So I just got to ask you, okay, there are thousands of spiritual teachers out there. There are thousands of people who would be in your bucket list to book. Oh my goodness. I think I'm doing my bucket list. You are? I really feel like I am. I mean, the only person that I haven't worked with, only two people I've never worked with that I would love to, because I think she's done so much for our industry when she had her show, is Oprah Winfrey. I think she's done an enormous, enormous amount of bringing spirituality, personal development, and higher consciousness teachings on a global level, like no one else has. I mean, there just isn't. Like when no one was talking about this in the 90s, She was having Gary Zukof on who of course I've worked with and all of these other teachers and she's had you on her show and different teachers that you and I both know and love. And so there's nothing like having someone who has that kind of massive reach to be able to put them on their platform and really give a voice to them. But not just give a voice to them is that it helps heal people's lives. And I don't. Here's a really short story ⁓ on this and then I'll continue with your question. I was doing an event, it must have been 1997 or eight. We had about 1600 people in the room and the teacher, ⁓ she was a spiritual medium, she talked about spiritual mediumship and angels, et cetera. I had a woman come up to me at the end of the session and she looked at me and she was in tears. And of course everybody was in tears because it was just a really powerful session. And she said to me, I just want you to know that you saved my life tonight. And I said, what are you talking about? She said to me that she decided to come to this because she saw it on the news that morning because we did a little interview with the speaker on the morning show. And she said, if I hadn't come here, I was planning on committing suicide. Those were the words that she used. I was planning on committing suicide. And now I know I'm not alone. I'm not alone in the world. And now I no longer need to do that. This lecture saved my life. So you never know. ⁓ And I kind of segue there a little bit, but having the different teachers, having the different voices out there, certainly no matter how small of a speaker you are, how large of a speaker you are is important. Now the second person that I haven't worked with that I would love to have on my stage, actually there's two more, Pema Chodron and the Dalai Lama. ⁓ okay. All right. Put it out there. I know I'm going to wrap back again. So let's talk about what you, you've just mentioned something very, very serious, how some people are in the darkest times of their life. They're in the darkest phases of their life. And whoever is listening to this at this moment, there's no coincidence that you are listening to this at this moment of time. and whatever we are sharing could change your life in this moment. And so what I would love to ask you, Liz, and talk about is, you know, it's in those deep, powerful moments, those deep transitional spaces that, you know, you've already said, myself, Wayne Dyad, know, Jody Spencer and myself have all spoken the same message, but it's not just the message, it's... how it's delivered. It's the delivery knowing that maybe I'm a woman and I relate to women's problems or the fact that Joe is coming at it from the neuroscience part of it or Wayne is just Wayne Dyer turning up with no shoes on stage. God rest his soul. you know, I think a lot of people are saying, well, why should I speak my message? Why should I become a spiritual teacher? And why should I have a message? What would you answer to that? I love this question. I'm so glad you asked this question. Because saves someone's life in that moment. I know. You give that woman, like that woman who saw you on TV that said, I came here and now I no longer want to take my life. I want people to hear it. ⁓ One of the reasons I believe, no, one of the reasons I know why we have so many different spiritual teachers in the world is that every, all the billions and billions of people on the planet, we all resonate with a different way of learning, a different way of experiencing. So if someone is speaking my language, I'm more visual and kinesthetic. If you speak that language, I'm gonna get it. If you're speaking a more auditory language, I might not get it as clearly. So we all have a different way of relating information and it might be the same information, but we all have a different way of relating it. So I love when I see ⁓ up and coming speakers or new speakers coming into the platform or wanting to share their message because I think it's so, so, so important. If you have a passion, that means you have a calling. That means that there's a purpose for it. So if I didn't follow my calling with celebrate your life events, that thousands and thousands of people who have been to our events all these years, whose lives have been transformed by the teachers that have been appearing on our stage, their lives would not have been so positively affected. And I've got so many feedback forms, know, attesting to what happens in the space with the teachers. So I know that these, that people are impacted. So if you've got that passion in your life to share a message, because we all say it differently. all have something, those people who have that desire, you've got something to share. I say, step into it. I say, absolutely step into it. And you know, I love this. I've spoken in front of, you know, I had to work it out for my agent. I've spoken in front of 7 million people in excess of. yes. At least. And that's just not, that's live people in front of you. And I know some people are like, And my largest crowd is 12,000 people. And my smallest crowd is probably like 10, you know? And they're actually the hardest crowd to work towards is those 10 people, because they're all like hanging on your every word. But in a group, and I've got a picture up here in a group of like 1,000, 10,000, 5,000 people, you're talking to one person, but everyone resonates. collective energy that happens and it's so powerful, it's so enriching, it's such an experience. And you and I have spoken about this, is that we want to give up and coming speakers in the spiritual industry an opportunity to have a platform, to learn from your experience of producing events and having the great Wayne Dyer, the, you know, ⁓ Deepak, Jody Spencer, everybody on the platform that you have learned from and you know what people are looking for. And then I have got that speaking event, that speaking experience. We want to bring that together, don't we? To actually help people find their voice. Because that's what people are missing. I mean, if you if you have a desire, what is it if you build it, they will come if you have that passion, if you have that desire, step into it. ⁓ I it's really funny. Several years ago, during the pandemic, I had some people approach me and ask me if I would chat with them about being a spiritual teacher. And actually, it was a little bit before that. And someone said, you have so much to say. and share and I was like, no, no, no, no, no. I like being behind the scenes. I like being the producer and I love the creation of the events and that's what really, you know, fills my soul. And I had to get pushed a little bit to start teaching and now I freaking love it. I didn't realize that. I have a lot to share because I've done it for 30 years. And I know, I mean, I've been doing it for 30 years and I know what makes a good workshop. know how to set this up. I know how to assist up and coming speakers to develop their platform, what it means to really, really do a great presentation. know, with my theater background, that certainly is enormously helpful. So ⁓ I know when you came to me, Lisa, and said, let's teach a class, I was like, I don't know. And then, yeah, then I knew. And we started going through all the things that. I definitely can share with people and I'm loving it. We did a class on bringing spiritual business to start with spiritual businesses. And we really help those people. We coach them, we guided them. You know, one of them has now gone off and become a TikTok sensation and, and, you know, there's variety of different things. We've got success story after success story. But I think when we both looked at what it was that we wanted to do. We both feel that there are so many unique spiritual teachers. I was discovered by Merv Griffin. Merv Griffin discovered some major, major stars. And my aim, and I don't think I've ever said this to you, Liz, is my aim is to discover the next greatest spiritual teacher. Me too. And would love to have them on your platform. And so, you know, we are... between us, we're creating this program. If you are a spiritual teacher out there, or if you want to, or if you have a message or if you're passionate about your message, then if you go to this link that you'll see, is speaker.celebrateyourlife.com. And please, please, please just come and join us. It is really a short course. In four months, you are going to be able, you're gonna be ready for the platform. You're going to be, you don't have to be a psychic medium. You don't have to be a healer. don't, you could be a life coach. You could be a nurse that's transitioning into, you know, you want to talk about hospice care or whatever it is, as long as it's a spiritual message that is going to change people's lives. Exactly. And it's really for anyone. If, it doesn't have to be where you want to necessarily be a speaker, but if you have a coaching practice, if you are a teacher, if you do want to get yourself on stage, if you want to know how to create your own retreats, like I've been doing this for a long time. I know how to tell you how to do that. So I'm really excited about teaching this because, it's not just about becoming that speaker. It's also solidifying the language in which you put yourself out there. Your branding, which Lisa is wicked amazing at. She is just masterful at that. And one of my jams is, creating a transformation statement. So people are super, super, super clear about what they are going to gain as a result of being in a workshop session or life coaching session with you. And you would be amazed at how many teachers do not have that solidified. And the other thing that Lisa's really masterful at that I know you're going to be teaching is how to develop your own niche, how to narrow down your niche. Because I have to tell you, when teachers come to me and they say, Well, I just want to teach people how to be their best selves or be love and light and peace and joy. Well, there's nothing wrong with that, but it's not very specific. During the course, we are going to narrow it down so you have specific message to give to people. So if I come to you, I know exactly how you're going to help me. I know exactly what to expect as a result of me hanging out with you or spending time with you or paying you money to coach me. to teach me to be in a retreat with you. Yeah, yeah. Liz and I have taught many times and listen, if you're listening or you're thinking it doesn't fit for me, but it relates to a friend of mine, send it to them. We would love to help them because there comes a time I've walked every red carpet you can imagine. I've been on every stage you can imagine. I have been interviewed with all of these people that you could ever imagine. I don't need to do it anymore. It's a great place for me to be and I enjoy it and I love it. But where my talent lies is sharing it with other people to accelerate their opportunity. Do I want to do it? Am I good at it? ⁓ my God, I can captivate an audience. You have no idea. But I want to help people grow and put them out there and... and be the next Lisa Williams or be the next Elizabeth Gilbert or be the next whoever it is. And also between us, you'd be surprised between Liz and myself, who we don't know is not worth knowing. You might say an idea of like, I know a great TV producer that might love that. Or I might go, I know a great agent that might know that. It's about the resource. Don't you find it's about who you know? It's who you know. And it's also how to develop relationships because I certainly didn't know anyone at the beginning of my career. I knew no one. And I really had to nurture relationships. I had to be brave enough. And I'm going to be teaching this as well, how to create relationships, how to meet people, how to ⁓ pitch producers, how to get those interviews that gives you more visibility. So I'll be talking all about that. I mean, there are some producers that I worked with back in the 90s that I'm still in touch with today. And it's about creating those relationships and building those relationships and what you bring to the table. So being responsible for the energy that you bring into the space when you are meeting people, when you are pitching yourself to be on maybe a radio podcast, TV show, and really honing in your skills to be able to be ⁓ really magnificent in the way that you nurture and create these relationships with producers, with editors of newspapers in order to get seen. So I'm very good at doing that. So. It reminds me of a story of something that happened. So I just got to this story because I. had been on the circuit, I'd been in these things and all the speakers had said, have you spoken to Liz Dawn? Have you been in Celebrate Your Life? And I'm like, no. And I've been in other venues and other events. And I was like, I'm not good enough because Liz Dawn doesn't want me. So I had this moment. And then Liz Dawn contacted me and I did my first event and I never forget. talking about nurturing a relationship, I never forget. was like, ⁓ and I made sure that I sent you flowers after that event. it was just simple gesture, but it really meant something to me to be recognized by you and not necessarily recognized, but to be appreciated and to also be looked after. Because I gotta tell you, you look after your speakers. You take care of your speakers better than I have ever, ever, ever. had in any other event. And I just say that from someone who has traveled around the world, you take care of your speakers better than I've ever had before. you know, thank you Well, we have a really, really good formula and we have a speaker assistant for every single speaker that comes, you know, on a stage. So even when we had 30 speakers at our anniversary event, one of our anniversary events, every single speaker had a devoted staff member to them for the entire weekend. So, that's important. Yeah. That's amazing. That's the beginning. ⁓ my gosh. So guys, listen, if you want to be part of this course, if you do want to be, ⁓ with us, okay. Go to speaker dot celebrate your life.com. You can join us. It starts on April 10th. It's running for four months. You're going to learn everything. You're going to have opportunities. Liz and I are gonna do some personal coaching as well. There's different packages, but there is an opportunity to get in as a personal coaching with us, getting quickly on those because those sell out very, very quickly. But Liz, thank you so much for being part of this. Do you have any parting words for anyone listening? Just- Parting words, yes. you have that spark inside you, if you have that desire. and fear is stopping you, please come join us for this course because that stops so many people from taking that next step in the career. I want you to remember my story. I want you to remember I don't have any formal business education background. And I just kept saying yes to the universe with every opportunity that came along, I kept saying yes until I had a business. So if you've got that spark, come join us for the speaker's course with me and Lisa because it's going to be pretty amazing. at the end of the course, you'll be like, oh, I'm so glad I did that.
