What happens when you mix world-class classical talents with the energy of rock stars? 🎻🔥 In this episode, Rob Cass sits down with Grammy Award-winning trio Time for Three — Nicolas (Nick) Kendall, Charles Yang, and Ranaan Meyer — who are redefining what it means to be a classical musician in the 21st century. From sold-out symphony halls to rocking crowds with their mind-blowing fusion of classical, pop, bluegrass, Americana, rock, and jazz, their journey is anything but ordinary. The trio opens up about their beginnings at the Curtis Institute, how bluegrass jams turned into standing ovations, and why the emotional storytelling behind their music hits so deeply. 🎶 We dive into the making of their Grammy-winning album Letters for the Future, the challenges of working on a movie score remotely during lockdown, and how playing two violins and a bass can create pure musical magic. Plus, hear about the moment they realized they could literally read each other's minds on stage! 🎻🎸If you love music that breaks boundaries, you won’t want to miss this. From their first (and almost last) gig at a corporate event to winning Grammys, Time for Three proves that passion, friendship, and fearlessness can create something truly timeless. And bonus: this episode is filled with their live performances from the dopeYEAH club — including a magical rooftop night jam we were lucky enough to capture on film! Tune in for unforgettable music, behind-the-scenes stories, and discover why these three artists just might steal your heart. ❤️🎶
