00:00:32.550 --> 00:00:39.590
Happy Bitcoin Tuesday, freaks. It's your host, Odell, here for another Citadel Dispatch.
2
00:00:39.830 --> 00:00:42.470
The show focused on actual Bitcoin
3
00:00:42.710 --> 00:00:44.310
and Freedom Tech
4
00:00:44.655 --> 00:00:47.375
discussion. The current date is
5
00:00:47.695 --> 00:00:48.655
Tuesday,
6
00:00:48.815 --> 00:00:51.135
05/12/2026
7
00:00:51.135 --> 00:00:53.774
at seventeen hundred UTC.
8
00:00:54.335 --> 00:00:56.735
Bitcoin terms, we are at block height.
9
00:00:58.260 --> 00:01:04.580
What block height are we at? Nine four nine one zero six. Sats per dollar is one two four nine,
10
00:01:04.979 --> 00:01:08.500
and the Bitcoin price is $80,000.
11
00:01:08.500 --> 00:01:08.580
And
12
00:01:10.335 --> 00:01:17.215
and this Bitcoin is looking strong right now. Feeling strong. We'll see. We'll see what happens next. I got a great show lined up for you freaks.
13
00:01:18.494 --> 00:01:33.050
You're probably listening to this an hour or so from now. I like to publish them right away. But before we get started as always Bitcoin is supported by viewers like you who donate Bitcoin to the show. We have no ads. We have no sponsors.
14
00:01:33.290 --> 00:01:44.805
It's just me and you guys. So thank you for supporting the show largest Zaps from last week. My great conversation with Matt Hill. Listen to that. If you haven't yet, let's see here. What do we got? We got 21,000 sats
15
00:01:44.884 --> 00:01:46.244
from Prodigious
16
00:01:46.244 --> 00:01:48.725
satisfied start nine customer for over a year now.
17
00:01:49.284 --> 00:01:54.960
Nothing like validating your own blocks. We have Florida Justin with 12,221
18
00:01:54.960 --> 00:01:55.680
sats
19
00:01:55.920 --> 00:01:57.200
Palindrome boost
20
00:01:57.360 --> 00:01:58.960
freedom fighters rule.
21
00:01:59.360 --> 00:02:02.960
And then we have both PGS design and Mav 21
22
00:02:03.200 --> 00:02:06.560
with 10,000 sats. Thank you guys for supporting the show.
23
00:02:07.205 --> 00:02:14.405
Then on podcasting two point o apps, the largest two Zaps was OD, the GW, JW with 17,592
24
00:02:14.405 --> 00:02:15.045
sets.
25
00:02:15.205 --> 00:02:20.565
Strong inspiring words. Mister Hill, thank you for your service. Cheers to the ride or dies and to the remnant.
26
00:02:20.645 --> 00:02:23.780
We have pseudo Carlos with 5,000 sets,
27
00:02:23.860 --> 00:02:35.620
two serious Matt speak on sovereignty and self hosted software stacks. Hypothetically, who would be the stricter parent if you're raising a kid? I imagine Matt Hill had the most stern face throughout the recording. When you guys didn't hear it on air, but
28
00:02:36.655 --> 00:02:38.175
me and Matt have great
29
00:02:38.334 --> 00:02:39.775
fatherly conversations.
30
00:02:39.775 --> 00:02:40.655
Some of the best
31
00:02:40.974 --> 00:02:45.375
fatherly conversations I've had have been offline with Matt. Anyway, freaks,
32
00:02:45.775 --> 00:02:51.295
if you parted with your stats, I appreciate you. Thank you for sending Bitcoin to the show. It keeps me going.
33
00:02:52.090 --> 00:02:54.490
I know stats are scarce. If you can't
34
00:02:54.730 --> 00:03:03.210
spare any, the second best way of supporting the show is sharing with your friends and family. Well, dispatch is available on all major podcast apps by searching civil dispatch.
35
00:03:03.965 --> 00:03:06.525
All relevant links are civildispatch.com.
36
00:03:06.685 --> 00:03:07.885
Okay, freaks.
37
00:03:08.125 --> 00:03:10.845
Tuesday morning, ready to rip. Let's go.
38
00:03:11.165 --> 00:03:15.645
I have someone on the show who has become a good friend
39
00:03:15.885 --> 00:03:16.605
through
40
00:03:16.765 --> 00:03:17.724
shared pain
41
00:03:18.140 --> 00:03:22.220
of trying to bring this all together. I'm very excited to talk to you all about it
42
00:03:22.540 --> 00:03:24.220
and bring you into
43
00:03:24.220 --> 00:03:25.260
the story.
44
00:03:25.580 --> 00:03:27.340
We have Eugene
45
00:03:27.340 --> 00:03:29.739
Jerrecki here. He is
46
00:03:30.915 --> 00:03:32.115
a documentarian
47
00:03:32.115 --> 00:03:33.075
who has been
48
00:03:33.635 --> 00:03:34.435
following
49
00:03:34.515 --> 00:03:42.115
the life of Julian Assange for quite some time. He's got a great film about to come out called The 6,000,000,000 Dollar Man. How's it going, Eugene?
50
00:03:42.900 --> 00:03:47.700
It's going very well. And I'm really, really pleased to be here with you and your your crowd of freaks.
51
00:03:49.700 --> 00:03:53.140
You just you just find out that I called my audience freaks?
52
00:03:53.140 --> 00:03:56.659
Yes, I didn't know that I'm trying to be cool. So I want to fit right in.
53
00:03:57.545 --> 00:04:00.425
If you freaks didn't realize Eugene's quite perceptive.
54
00:04:00.425 --> 00:04:01.625
Eugene, how
55
00:04:02.025 --> 00:04:02.665
long
56
00:04:04.345 --> 00:04:05.225
were you
57
00:04:05.785 --> 00:04:07.545
filming this documentary?
58
00:04:08.105 --> 00:04:15.230
Over most of the past seven years, I was following the Assange story of Julian Assange's efforts to share
59
00:04:15.710 --> 00:04:18.590
information with the public that he thought
60
00:04:18.830 --> 00:04:27.815
whistleblowers wanted the public to know. And so I learned early on many, many years ago, as a lot of people did, that Assange had created WikiLeaks, which was really
61
00:04:28.455 --> 00:04:31.655
a safe place for whistleblowers to anonymously,
62
00:04:31.815 --> 00:04:56.495
in the digital age, upload stuff that they thought the public needed to know. In previous years, you know, a whistleblower had to go into a dark parking garage and risk their lives, you know, sliding a briefcase across the asphalt. And the digital age brought so many possibilities, evil and good, and I think Assange saw the chance for good in the public being able to learn what the public has the right to know. So as many as fifteen years ago,
63
00:04:56.735 --> 00:05:02.415
like many people, I began to learn about WikiLeaks. But it was in the past seven years that I started tracing
64
00:05:02.575 --> 00:05:10.150
the sort of international spy thriller of what the US government had sought to do to destroy Julian Assange.
65
00:05:11.509 --> 00:05:12.630
Yeah. I mean, it's
66
00:05:14.389 --> 00:05:17.430
first of all, Freaks, I did watch the film. It's a great film.
67
00:05:20.495 --> 00:05:22.095
It's it's the first
68
00:05:22.574 --> 00:05:25.535
it's the first film that has Julian's blessing.
69
00:05:25.935 --> 00:05:28.975
It's also the first film that's being released after
70
00:05:30.330 --> 00:05:35.130
Julian has been freed, which I think caught a lot of us surprised last year when that happened.
71
00:05:38.010 --> 00:05:42.010
I guess two years ago, like a year and a half. I
72
00:05:43.585 --> 00:05:47.185
I mean, WikiLeaks to me has always been an incredibly
73
00:05:48.065 --> 00:05:50.385
important aspect of my
74
00:05:51.264 --> 00:06:02.000
growth as a man. First from WikiLeaks being created in the first place. I mean, to Eugene's point, one of the crazy parts as a as a young man to me was realizing
75
00:06:02.479 --> 00:06:03.520
that all
76
00:06:03.680 --> 00:06:05.120
the thriller movies
77
00:06:05.440 --> 00:06:07.280
where 95%
78
00:06:07.280 --> 00:06:18.635
of the movie was the protagonist trying to get the truth out to the world were just made redundant, because all they had to do is open up a computer and upload the documents to WikiLeaks instead of,
79
00:06:19.035 --> 00:06:23.755
you know, doing high speed car chases and traveling around the world trying to get the truth out,
80
00:06:24.075 --> 00:06:24.715
which
81
00:06:24.930 --> 00:06:27.250
is I think a profound realization,
82
00:06:27.250 --> 00:06:28.050
especially as
83
00:06:28.610 --> 00:06:29.730
a younger person.
84
00:06:29.970 --> 00:06:36.050
And then the second piece obviously was Bitcoin was key to WikiLeaks early on when WikiLeaks got debanked.
85
00:06:36.610 --> 00:06:38.449
I mean, it was one of the first
86
00:06:38.944 --> 00:06:44.625
times, I think the first real case studies where people were shown, particularly in the Western world,
87
00:06:44.944 --> 00:06:49.185
why you might need a money that didn't require permission from
88
00:06:49.345 --> 00:06:50.544
the state to use,
89
00:06:50.785 --> 00:07:02.070
and whether you're saving or whether you're spending it. So Visa and Mastercard and PayPal all cut off WikiLeaks, but they were able to accept Bitcoin donations, which was real proof that Bitcoin was freedom money.
90
00:07:03.510 --> 00:07:07.830
So all of this is incredibly important to me, it's part of the reason why I've been helping Eugene
91
00:07:08.205 --> 00:07:10.765
bring this to the world in a way that hopefully
92
00:07:11.005 --> 00:07:25.630
as many people can watch it as possible. Because I do think a lot of people, particularly young people nowadays, don't know what WikiLeaks is, don't know what Julian stood for, stands for today. Let's I think an interesting place to start here, Eugene is
93
00:07:27.550 --> 00:07:28.990
you won Cannes.
94
00:07:29.710 --> 00:07:31.550
You won a Golden Globe.
95
00:07:31.950 --> 00:07:35.470
Yeah. I didn't know Golden Globes or do documentaries.
96
00:07:35.745 --> 00:07:38.465
It's the first time they've ever given one to a documentary.
97
00:07:38.705 --> 00:07:39.665
Congratulations.
98
00:07:40.065 --> 00:07:41.665
But at the same time,
99
00:07:42.145 --> 00:07:44.225
you've been having issues with distribution.
100
00:07:44.225 --> 00:07:54.020
What have you been facing? That's a very gentle way of saying it. Other than winning the Cannes Film Festival and winning a Golden Globe, the movie is basically banned everywhere else. Mainstream media
101
00:07:54.180 --> 00:07:57.379
won't touch it. Legacy media, none of the streamers,
102
00:07:57.379 --> 00:08:04.180
none of that. And I kinda saw that coming. I mean, the mainstream media system in America is to those of us who make movies
103
00:08:04.574 --> 00:08:07.135
the way the financial system is to Bitcoiners.
104
00:08:07.375 --> 00:08:08.735
We are locked out.
105
00:08:08.975 --> 00:08:13.535
If you wanna make movies that challenge state power or that challenge the narrative
106
00:08:13.694 --> 00:08:18.735
that the US government and its allies run on, they have an enormous amount of power over
107
00:08:18.919 --> 00:08:33.705
and increasing every day over the mainstream legacy broadcasters and streamers and all of that. So we were we were really quite stuck. And that's how I met you was that faced with that difficulty,
108
00:08:34.025 --> 00:08:36.905
I tried to figure out how I could distribute the movie myself.
109
00:08:37.385 --> 00:08:41.385
And that led me to Jack Dorsey, and Jack Dorsey introduced us.
110
00:08:43.145 --> 00:08:45.785
Yeah. So I mean, think there's two pieces here.
111
00:08:47.270 --> 00:08:49.590
Yeah. First of all, I am also not surprised
112
00:08:49.590 --> 00:08:51.030
that distribution
113
00:08:52.150 --> 00:08:55.350
has been difficult to say the least. I mean, I think there's there's
114
00:08:55.590 --> 00:09:01.750
and correct me if I'm wrong. When people think of film distribution, which is obviously not my
115
00:09:02.564 --> 00:09:03.524
expertise.
116
00:09:03.605 --> 00:09:08.245
There's there's two goals that I think a filmmaker has. Right? First off,
117
00:09:08.884 --> 00:09:09.764
obviously
118
00:09:10.004 --> 00:09:19.420
these things cost significant amount of money to to put together and set up. The second piece is you want as many people to see, particularly with the documentary,
119
00:09:19.900 --> 00:09:23.260
which I assume most documentarians like yourself,
120
00:09:23.580 --> 00:09:24.300
there's
121
00:09:24.540 --> 00:09:34.925
a message that one of the reasons you're doing it is out of a passion to spread this message is to get in front of as many people as possible. And in a lot of times that can kind of be worrying
122
00:09:35.245 --> 00:09:36.285
priorities,
123
00:09:36.285 --> 00:09:39.645
right? Recouping costs, hopefully making some kind of
124
00:09:40.205 --> 00:09:47.050
profit on it as well because you know, this is not a charity operation, but then also getting in front of a lot of people. And
125
00:09:47.450 --> 00:09:51.610
so I mean, on that note, I'm kind of curious, like, just bring us into the
126
00:09:52.250 --> 00:09:56.090
into the backroom a little bit, like seven years filming.
127
00:09:58.315 --> 00:10:04.395
And to my point, like, I think the distribution part from a technology point of view, can be
128
00:10:06.155 --> 00:10:10.875
it maybe is a little bit more of a technical problem than
129
00:10:10.009 --> 00:10:10.970
is relatively
130
00:10:11.290 --> 00:10:20.889
easily to solve. I mean, you can distribute an MP4 as a torrent and get it in front of a lot of people. The cost problem and recouping costs and being able to make more films that are important
131
00:10:21.225 --> 00:10:28.745
is a much more difficult problem to solve while trying to also have scale distribution in this type of situation. So, seven years
132
00:10:28.904 --> 00:10:30.105
doing this film,
133
00:10:31.464 --> 00:10:35.385
what kind of cost does that look like? I mean, obviously your time.
134
00:10:36.440 --> 00:10:43.320
The movie costs, it's funny because the movie's called The 6,000,000,000 Dollar Man, but it might as well be called The 6,000,000 Dollar Film.
135
00:10:44.120 --> 00:10:59.975
The movie was filmed in 15 countries over about six years under highly securitized conditions. We filmed with Edward Snowden in Moscow running from the now FSB, used to be KGB all the time. We filmed among spies and torturers
136
00:10:59.975 --> 00:11:03.735
and people who were operatives within The US operations
137
00:11:04.329 --> 00:11:11.610
against Julian Assange. And so all of that had to be done where all of our machines were air gapped, our media never crossed borders,
138
00:11:11.610 --> 00:11:12.970
we had to securitize
139
00:11:13.130 --> 00:11:24.895
all of even the internal sharing that we were doing with each other. So it was a very cloak and dagger kind of operation because we knew remember, for most of the time that we were making the film, Julian Assange was in prison in The UK,
140
00:11:25.135 --> 00:11:37.060
and there was a case against him in The UK to extradite him to to America where he would face a possible hundred and seventy five years in jail in America. So we had evidence in our possession
141
00:11:37.540 --> 00:11:56.385
that we could not possibly let get into the wrong hands. Even talking to you today, there are things I can talk about, and there are things that I can't. And I even can't talk about things that are in the film that we're hoping people will see and in some of the special features that we're gonna be sharing, actually, initially only with Bitcoiners.
142
00:11:56.545 --> 00:12:04.050
That stuff is material that was shocking to us. It will be shocking to the world when they see it. And actually, the intelligence agencies
143
00:12:04.050 --> 00:12:06.210
don't know that we have some of this material.
144
00:12:06.530 --> 00:12:17.215
So all of that had a big cost in production and a lot of care taken in production. Now comes the world of getting it out to the world. Pretty simply put, when you don't have
145
00:12:17.775 --> 00:12:23.215
a mainstream legacy media studio or a giant corporation on your side,
146
00:12:23.455 --> 00:12:28.575
you are trying to compete with, you know, Marvel movies to reach the public imagination,
147
00:12:28.920 --> 00:12:47.005
to get people to watch your stuff, and that takes a cost. It doesn't have to have the stupid wastes that Hollywood has in it, but if you're smart, and that's where I think the brilliant idea of Jack Dorsey, which led us here, came into play, it was really, what if you trust the public? In this case, we're reaching out to Bitcoiners
148
00:12:47.005 --> 00:12:48.925
as a kind of a crowdfunding
149
00:12:48.925 --> 00:12:49.645
community
150
00:12:49.805 --> 00:12:56.685
to help us get the movie out, to say, Listen, forget Hollywood, forget everything that's wrong with the movie business that is centralized,
151
00:12:57.069 --> 00:12:58.110
intermediated
152
00:12:58.110 --> 00:12:58.910
information.
153
00:12:59.389 --> 00:13:17.345
Let's lean on our own selves, our own friends, our own community to get this thing out there. So the funds that we will raise through the work that we're doing that we'll talk about today from Bitcoiners and others, the goal of that is to self release and basically say to the mainstream system,
154
00:13:17.505 --> 00:13:25.960
we don't need you. We don't need you standing in the way. We don't need you pocketing gigantic amounts of money and keeping the public stupid.
155
00:13:26.280 --> 00:13:47.385
We want and trust that the public wants to know what's going on, and we wanna serve that. And we're asking for a community of people around us to join us, frankly, as producers on the film, and we can talk about that in a few moments. But that's really what this Bitcoin positioning of the film is about. It's an outreach to the Bitcoin community to join us on this journey of self releasing
156
00:13:47.385 --> 00:13:49.785
and showing the mainstream system that it's obsolete.
157
00:13:52.500 --> 00:13:59.380
Yeah. I mean, I think that was very well said. The basic concept is, and I call it a concept because it's yet to be proven out in reality,
158
00:13:59.700 --> 00:14:02.100
is the basic concept here is,
159
00:14:02.820 --> 00:14:05.700
is there a group of people around the world
160
00:14:06.065 --> 00:14:09.345
that believe in WikiLeaks and what Julian has done
161
00:14:10.305 --> 00:14:14.545
that are willing to step up as Bitcoin producers
162
00:14:15.105 --> 00:14:15.985
and
163
00:14:16.065 --> 00:14:23.380
fund the wide release of the film and get certain perks as a result of it. But ultimately,
164
00:14:24.339 --> 00:14:37.115
the goal here is probably similar to what what would amount to a crowd fund with Bitcoin. Right? Yep. Can I give you can I just reflect briefly on how the whole conversation started with Jack?
165
00:14:37.435 --> 00:14:44.634
Because that really, really put things so to be honest with your audience, I came to Jack Dorsey because I was desperate
166
00:14:44.800 --> 00:14:56.480
that my film was an award winning film. I believe in the film. I think the public needs to see the film. And I could see that the system was going to bury the film and ban the film. And I had heard
167
00:14:56.815 --> 00:15:00.575
from a lot of people that Jack Dorsey was very committed to freedom,
168
00:15:00.815 --> 00:15:02.175
freedom of expression,
169
00:15:02.175 --> 00:15:17.730
freedom of speech. I had seen talks with him where he spoke about this in a very powerful way. And I literally was just coming to him as a kindred spirit who I hoped would like the film. And if he did, I basically wanted him to say to the world, this is the film they don't want you to see,
170
00:15:18.050 --> 00:15:31.175
but I do. And I thought he had the power and the trust from people, which I think he does, that if he says it's an important thing, people are gonna listen. I didn't expect his answer. His answer was kind of amazing and it made my head spin,
171
00:15:31.495 --> 00:15:33.095
and I've been trying
172
00:15:33.575 --> 00:15:40.215
to mount it ever since and that's why we're here. But what Jack said was, Well, there's a built in audience for your film,
173
00:15:40.780 --> 00:16:00.795
and it's that audience that you should look to. He said, if I just pay for the release of the film, that's not fixing the system. That's just one film and one person who has the means to do it. What you want to do is get an army of support behind this film because of what it's about, and the army that is built in for this film are Bitcoiners.
174
00:16:00.795 --> 00:16:03.755
And he then really reflected very poetically
175
00:16:03.915 --> 00:16:05.755
on the shared origins
176
00:16:06.075 --> 00:16:07.835
of WikiLeaks and Bitcoin,
177
00:16:08.350 --> 00:16:09.630
That in 2011,
178
00:16:09.630 --> 00:16:11.790
when the US government was blocking
179
00:16:12.190 --> 00:16:13.950
WikiLeaks from receiving
180
00:16:14.030 --> 00:16:20.430
donations from the public via Mastercard, Visa, PayPal, and other fiat instruments, so called,
181
00:16:21.085 --> 00:16:24.605
At that moment, WikiLeaks said, we will accept Bitcoin.
182
00:16:25.005 --> 00:16:32.125
It rescued Bitcoin. And as I've learned more and more from Jack and now others, it was at that moment that WikiLeaks
183
00:16:32.125 --> 00:16:33.325
helped prove
184
00:16:33.485 --> 00:16:37.850
how Bitcoin could promote freedom because it tangibly was allowing
185
00:16:38.010 --> 00:16:46.170
that organization to continue to inform the public in the way that the gatekeepers didn't want. So Jack said, based on that shared history,
186
00:16:46.410 --> 00:16:49.225
Bitcoiners have a shared destiny
187
00:16:49.305 --> 00:16:50.985
with the goals of WikiLeaks.
188
00:16:51.145 --> 00:16:52.745
The decentralization
189
00:16:52.905 --> 00:16:55.385
of finance, sovereignty of finance,
190
00:16:55.625 --> 00:17:05.549
is hand in glove with the freedom of information that Bitcoin is about. It's all about making an end run around corrupt systems of centralized power.
191
00:17:05.710 --> 00:17:25.394
And he said, so the community you wanna reach out to, essentially in a crowdfunding way, are Bitcoiners. And it was at that moment that this idea was born. And then, Matt, you and I and some others who've been helping us have started to develop what we really believe deeply in, I think, which is we are looking for Bitcoiners to become Bitcoin producers
192
00:17:25.395 --> 00:17:26.355
on the movie.
193
00:17:26.674 --> 00:17:32.950
It's never been done before. It's basically saying to the movie business, forget you and all of your corruption
194
00:17:33.190 --> 00:17:46.684
and producers who even knows what that means in movie terms. You don't even know what a producer does. Well, I'm gonna show you what it does. It's real people in the world who want a movie to get in front of people. And in the Bitcoin space,
195
00:17:46.765 --> 00:18:05.749
there's a lot of messaging here that means a lot. Bitcoin is in the movie, of course, but the larger message about fighting the system that is, as far as I understand, a very Bitcoin friendly message, and it's therefore the Bitcoin community that we are reaching out to. We're having a private launch party, a kind of a private watch party at the June,
196
00:18:05.910 --> 00:18:07.669
only Bitcoiners
197
00:18:07.669 --> 00:18:19.005
and we only accept Bitcoin at the watch party. But really what we're doing is having Bitcoiners pay an amount of Bitcoin to become a producer on the film, join us on this journey.
198
00:18:21.725 --> 00:18:25.405
Yeah. I mean, there's a couple of pieces here. First of all, on the history piece,
199
00:18:27.240 --> 00:18:34.840
two things I find interesting about WikiLeaks accepting Bitcoin in 2011 was first off, Satoshi did not think Bitcoin was ready.
200
00:18:35.640 --> 00:18:42.965
He was concerned. I think the exact quote was that it would be kicking the hornet's nest and bringing too much attention to Bitcoin.
201
00:18:43.445 --> 00:18:44.565
Negative attention.
202
00:18:46.325 --> 00:18:54.950
Fortunately, he was wrong. Bitcoin was ready, which was, I think, a big wake up call for a lot of people. I mean, I didn't get into Bitcoin until after that. But it was obvious
203
00:18:55.990 --> 00:18:57.029
proof when
204
00:18:57.270 --> 00:19:07.350
I was introduced to Bitcoin, that Bitcoin worked and that it fulfilled its mission and mandate as freedom money. The second piece that's really interesting is WikiLeaks was the first
205
00:19:08.075 --> 00:19:11.435
large organization that effectively had a Bitcoin endowment,
206
00:19:11.435 --> 00:19:14.715
which is something that I'm very familiar with with my work at OpenSachs,
207
00:19:14.715 --> 00:19:17.274
which is incredibly empowering from the
208
00:19:18.715 --> 00:19:27.320
other side of financial freedom. There's two pieces of financial freedom. Right? This ability to transact without permission, but also the financial independence that comes
209
00:19:27.640 --> 00:19:35.960
with the money that you've received as donations increasing in value over time. So WikiLeaks ended up with a significant war chest as Bitcoin
210
00:19:36.255 --> 00:19:40.495
accrued value that was probably even more substantial than original
211
00:19:41.775 --> 00:19:43.774
dollar amount of donations they got.
212
00:19:44.655 --> 00:19:49.535
So when structuring this concept, and I keep calling it a concept because once again, it hasn't been proven out.
213
00:19:50.520 --> 00:19:54.760
There's no there's no guidebook to how to do something like this.
214
00:19:55.080 --> 00:20:02.920
So I've seen a lot of questions. Okay. Like, how was the price determined? Well, the price is a million sats is 0.01 Bitcoin
215
00:20:03.320 --> 00:20:04.520
is priced in Bitcoin.
216
00:20:05.485 --> 00:20:13.965
I don't know, it felt right. We don't have a we don't have a good answer for people who are thinking about it. I know it can be thought of as
217
00:20:14.125 --> 00:20:17.725
it's a big purchase, you know, right now, is it say $100
218
00:20:18.600 --> 00:20:21.240
I think the message and the movement
219
00:20:21.640 --> 00:20:32.120
is well worth it. That's why I've been volunteering my time to help Eugene with this. But it's interesting, right? And to the Noster folks that are listening, I mean, part of the reason I'm so excited about Noster is
220
00:20:32.725 --> 00:20:42.644
from that same core belief that information needs to be free and that society flourishes when it is free. But with Noster, we have zaps and we've really proven out the concept of
221
00:20:43.284 --> 00:20:44.884
social funding of causes,
222
00:20:45.510 --> 00:20:47.590
but on a much smaller level.
223
00:20:48.230 --> 00:20:54.230
If when you guys see this film, after hearing Eugene talk about it for seven years, working on this for seven years,
224
00:20:54.790 --> 00:20:56.950
like this is not something that can be funded
225
00:20:57.270 --> 00:20:59.030
with a 20¢ zap.
226
00:20:59.524 --> 00:21:00.404
This
227
00:21:00.404 --> 00:21:02.644
has serious financial costs.
228
00:21:02.965 --> 00:21:03.684
And the
229
00:21:04.404 --> 00:21:10.245
goal here is to prove out a concept that people will effectively be willing to zap something significantly
230
00:21:10.245 --> 00:21:12.724
more than maybe the norm has been.
231
00:21:13.445 --> 00:21:15.205
And then the second piece is
232
00:21:15.900 --> 00:21:19.100
the more money that Bitcoin producers
233
00:21:19.100 --> 00:21:20.620
step up to do this
234
00:21:21.100 --> 00:21:25.500
gives Eugene and his team a lot more flexibility with distribution
235
00:21:25.500 --> 00:21:27.500
going forward. Right? If
236
00:21:27.660 --> 00:21:28.380
if
237
00:21:28.585 --> 00:21:30.665
we see lackluster support,
238
00:21:31.305 --> 00:21:32.025
then
239
00:21:32.105 --> 00:21:46.080
Eugene needs to be very deliberate about what his next steps are in terms of trying to recoup a lot of the financial costs. If there's significant support, and we see thousands of Bitcoiners come out and say, we want to see
240
00:21:46.640 --> 00:22:01.784
Julian's message and movement and life be honored, then Eugene will have significant flexibility in the further distribution of the film where he doesn't necessarily need to further recoup costs because he already has on this first step. So it's very much
241
00:22:05.145 --> 00:22:18.029
an experiment. Like, I just wanna be clear to the freaks. Like, this is an experiment. We love your feedback on what we've done right and what we've done wrong so far. Eugene, his team, myself, we're kinda just figuring it out as we go along.
242
00:22:18.510 --> 00:22:19.630
The dream here
243
00:22:20.269 --> 00:22:31.174
Building the plane while flying it. Yeah. And the dream here is if if this works if this works, then we could start to see global distribution of other films like this that are incredibly important,
244
00:22:31.495 --> 00:22:44.630
that are funded by a distributed set of producers paid with Bitcoin, which is a wild concept to me. Yeah. I mean, it's also I I I'm in love with the concept. And what I think happened was that Jack put this seed in our minds,
245
00:22:44.950 --> 00:22:50.870
and it was really the beautiful step where he'd said, if you get a community of people into your film,
246
00:22:51.335 --> 00:23:03.175
you have an army that is trying to get this story out there in front of people. And we don't just you know, it's not just like, hey. Thanks for the money, and now we run with it. The whole idea was to bring Bitcoiners
247
00:23:03.175 --> 00:23:18.590
actually onto the film. When you are a Bitcoin producer of the film, you end up in the credits of the film. You get an official credit in the film. You also get secret material that no one else gets to see, two hours of material that didn't even make it in the film because it's unbelievably
248
00:23:18.590 --> 00:23:28.725
sensitive stuff, but it was already a two hour film, so you get two additional hours of completely explosive stuff, including the real story of Edward Snowden and Julian Assange,
249
00:23:28.885 --> 00:23:30.404
Daniel Ellsberg's last
250
00:23:30.725 --> 00:24:03.555
interview on Earth when he talked all about the power of what Julian Assange had done. But you also get amazing material from the people who were involved in, yes, torturing Julian Assange and the people involved in, yes, illegally spying on him and giving what they were spying to the US government who was about to try to put him in jail. They were eavesdropping on his lawyer meetings. We have the tapes. There's other stuff we have that, again, I I don't talk about, but you'll see in the film. And you'll also if you're a Bitcoiner and you join us as a producer, you actually get not only all that video material, we give you a giant document
251
00:24:03.555 --> 00:24:04.115
archive,
252
00:24:04.460 --> 00:24:06.059
this kind of dossier,
253
00:24:06.300 --> 00:24:26.254
primary source documents from the entire Assange saga, totally staggering stuff, including people's private tweet messages about him and the inner workings of the system in England and America and other countries to conspire to hurt him and to conspire to block the public from learning the truth. It's like a real anatomy
254
00:24:26.335 --> 00:24:43.809
of so much that is wrong with the world that we all wanna see fixed. So we bring Bitcoiners in as producers really into our team in a way that the public will not get to be. And by doing that, of course, the money we raise and Matt is right that I just knew I wanted a round number in Bitcoin.
255
00:24:43.890 --> 00:24:49.865
I didn't wanna tell Bitcoiners a price in dollars. I've been learning from all you Bitcoiners to think in Bitcoin.
256
00:24:50.105 --> 00:24:54.505
And so point o one, which at the time was like $737
257
00:24:54.505 --> 00:25:01.570
and whatever, and congrats to you guys, it's now I think $8 or so, $80, whatever, it's gone up to 8. At that time, point o one
258
00:25:01.810 --> 00:25:05.169
seemed like a good round number. And it also meant that the movie
259
00:25:05.330 --> 00:25:07.570
was gonna take the destiny of Bitcoin,
260
00:25:07.650 --> 00:25:28.695
that whatever was gonna come in, if Bitcoin went way down, we were gonna be there for that ride. If Bitcoin went up, we were gonna be there for that ride. And either way, all this money gets used to get this movie in front of the public. The costs involved with the production of that, and the distribution of that, we're just trying to do everything we can to compete with the studios and
261
00:25:29.020 --> 00:25:30.460
all the other malefactors.
262
00:25:30.460 --> 00:25:36.539
But at that price point, enough viewership will get us an amazing war chest to be able to bring this to the world.
263
00:25:38.140 --> 00:25:38.860
Yeah, Freaks.
264
00:25:41.275 --> 00:25:46.475
Eugene has gotten a crash course on Bitcoin and Noster over the last few months.
265
00:25:46.875 --> 00:25:47.755
Threw him right
266
00:25:49.195 --> 00:25:54.395
into the deep end. I'm drinking the Kool Aid as fast as I can. And it's interesting because I'm a complete
267
00:25:55.440 --> 00:26:05.919
normie newbie in the Bitcoin space, but what I am learning really is what I think the public doesn't know. And I think this movie is a vehicle and the way we wanna do it is a vehicle
268
00:26:06.080 --> 00:26:09.120
to really give the public correct PR about Bitcoin.
269
00:26:09.575 --> 00:26:13.014
Because what we will be doing once again is using Bitcoin
270
00:26:13.415 --> 00:26:14.615
to promote freedom.
271
00:26:14.935 --> 00:26:19.014
Because this movie is being blocked just as WikiLeaks was blocked in 2011,
272
00:26:19.255 --> 00:26:21.495
and then Bitcoiners are coming to the rescue,
273
00:26:21.735 --> 00:26:25.110
putting their money where their mouth is about sovereignty,
274
00:26:25.350 --> 00:26:26.870
about independence,
275
00:26:27.110 --> 00:26:27.830
and about
276
00:26:28.070 --> 00:26:29.429
disintermediation,
277
00:26:29.670 --> 00:26:31.030
decentralization.
278
00:26:31.030 --> 00:26:32.710
And if we can win with that,
279
00:26:33.030 --> 00:26:36.309
what an amazingly poetic moment that a movie about
280
00:26:36.310 --> 00:26:42.775
what the gatekeepers tried to do whatever years ago comes out in a way that shows that gatekeepers
281
00:26:42.775 --> 00:26:44.215
are no longer necessary.
282
00:26:45.655 --> 00:26:46.535
Damn right.
283
00:26:47.495 --> 00:26:55.119
Mean, Eugene, I gave you a crash course on Bitcoin and Nostrad. Why don't you give us just a quick crash course on how many documentaries have you made?
284
00:26:55.919 --> 00:26:57.600
About 10 major ones.
285
00:26:59.520 --> 00:27:02.720
Forget what we're doing for a second. Give
286
00:27:02.720 --> 00:27:03.280
us a
287
00:27:04.635 --> 00:27:11.035
synopsis on what the current state of film distribution is. You weren't doing it this way.
288
00:27:11.195 --> 00:27:17.035
Right. If it wasn't banned, let's say if it wasn't banned, if it wasn't this topic, if it was maybe a more
289
00:27:18.270 --> 00:27:20.910
friendly US state friendly topic,
290
00:27:23.070 --> 00:27:25.070
was more normal,
291
00:27:25.310 --> 00:27:26.670
what does that look like?
292
00:27:27.070 --> 00:27:30.910
Well, there had always been throughout American history a belief,
293
00:27:31.485 --> 00:27:32.925
as Justice Brandeis,
294
00:27:32.925 --> 00:27:37.164
the Supreme Court once said, that sunlight is the best disinfectant.
295
00:27:37.565 --> 00:27:49.270
And so there was always the idea that we were made better by shining light in dark spaces and revealing things that the public should know about. And there's a proud history of that. It goes back to Edward R. Murrow.
296
00:27:49.430 --> 00:27:53.750
We know about it from how we used to think of the tough
297
00:27:53.830 --> 00:27:57.190
investigative journalist who goes into dangerous places and
298
00:27:57.605 --> 00:27:59.605
interviews, you know, terrorists
299
00:27:59.605 --> 00:28:28.935
and hostage takers and criminals at the front lines of the chemical or pharma industry, all that stuff. Karen Silkwood died because of trying to share nuclear secrets with The New York Times. She was killed. And we know so many stories. Gary Webb trying to teach the world about what The US and the CIA were doing in the war on drugs, and Webb lost his life. So we know that it's a courageous fight that truth seekers are engaged in. People like Chelsea Manning, who leaked all this material to WikiLeaks.
300
00:28:28.935 --> 00:28:37.815
Chelsea Manning downloaded millions of documents from the US government that showed what a crime the war on terror was. The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan
301
00:28:38.240 --> 00:28:39.520
were a bloodbath
302
00:28:39.520 --> 00:28:47.679
based on nothing, and Chelsea Manning had the courage to risk her life to upload that stuff through WikiLeaks. So in a world where
303
00:28:48.480 --> 00:29:07.605
we had the standards and practices that we used to have, not that they were perfect, by the way. The world has always been complicated, and there's no joke to say that, you know, we are living in a world that we are still fixing. We're always a work in progress. But the truth is there was a better time where we think of all the president's men in Woodward and Bernstein,
304
00:29:07.685 --> 00:29:14.889
and we all put that on a pedestal that the public should know, and great journalism does that. Well, the problem is corporate power
305
00:29:15.130 --> 00:29:18.330
made very handshake arrangements with
306
00:29:18.330 --> 00:29:20.889
political power over the last decades,
307
00:29:21.130 --> 00:29:22.409
and it has eroded
308
00:29:22.945 --> 00:29:33.184
the capacity of the media to do the real work, the real investigative work. Their hands are tied. Even really well meaning journalists, they take a paycheck from a major news organization,
309
00:29:33.505 --> 00:29:39.470
and so they are compromised. They're captured. The good news about a documentary filmmaker like me is I don't have a job.
310
00:29:39.950 --> 00:29:47.710
I don't have anyone paying my bills. I'm not you can't fuck me. Am I not the curse? You can't call the run This is not the radio.
311
00:29:48.385 --> 00:30:01.664
Good. You can't try to stop me. All you do is squeeze my funding. Well, they're doing that. The one way they're stopping those of us who do this work is what's happening right now. And so I'm turning to fellow citizens,
312
00:30:01.825 --> 00:30:04.020
fellow humans, and saying,
313
00:30:04.180 --> 00:30:10.500
we all wanna live in a world that is based on truth and freedom rather than lies, war, and nonfreedom.
314
00:30:10.500 --> 00:30:11.460
And so
315
00:30:11.620 --> 00:30:17.140
this outreach came out of that, but generally speaking, this should be the way the system does work, but it doesn't.
316
00:30:19.804 --> 00:30:22.764
You want to take a moment and put your phone on do disturb?
317
00:30:23.644 --> 00:30:27.964
Yeah. It's a stupid thing that's happening. I'll explain someday. I have a stalker,
318
00:30:27.965 --> 00:30:30.044
and this stalker rings the phone. It's okay.
319
00:30:30.900 --> 00:30:33.860
You don't have a job, but you have a stalker. Got it. Exactly.
320
00:30:35.140 --> 00:30:40.580
Truth is the Okay. But to that point, I'm just curious. So like, you did a film on Elvis.
321
00:30:40.900 --> 00:30:43.299
Right? Yeah. Yeah. Not controversial.
322
00:30:43.700 --> 00:31:04.309
Well, it's controversial too, because I was looking at the the death of the American dream in the body of Elvis. How did we become the fat Elvis as a country? So that's But not how did you fine. But how did you But it's not like corp maybe it's a little bit but, anyway, it's controversial in a different way. How did you distribute that film is my question?
323
00:31:04.790 --> 00:31:06.710
Times were better than Universal
324
00:31:06.710 --> 00:31:11.990
picked up that film around the world, and we still had to distribute it independently in America because
325
00:31:12.845 --> 00:31:21.725
America's bandwidth has been closing down. People in my field often say that what we get to see now in the media is the full spectrum from a to b.
326
00:31:22.045 --> 00:31:27.400
Like, c to z are not even there anymore, unless you're making stuff that kind of confirms
327
00:31:27.400 --> 00:31:28.760
the kind of neoliberal
328
00:31:28.760 --> 00:31:32.120
vantage point of the American system, you can't get arrested.
329
00:31:32.280 --> 00:31:35.720
So my Elvis film was also contrary.
330
00:31:35.880 --> 00:31:47.394
My films before that, they've all been contrary. They've all been a struggle, but it has never been as difficult as now. Because now, to give you an example, the movie No Other Land, which is about Israel Palestine,
331
00:31:47.475 --> 00:31:49.715
that movie won an Academy Award
332
00:31:50.035 --> 00:31:51.955
and could not get a distributor.
333
00:31:52.355 --> 00:31:59.619
This was two years ago. One Academy Award. Right? Yeah. One Academy Award, could not get a distributor. That was a new low.
334
00:31:59.860 --> 00:32:05.459
When I saw that, it was a warning shot that we were not going to get anywhere with this. My friend Alex
335
00:32:05.539 --> 00:32:07.859
Gibney made a movie called The Beebe Files,
336
00:32:07.940 --> 00:32:26.140
also about all the legal trouble that BB Netanyahu was facing when, oops, lo and behold, October 7 happened, and he's been running a campaign of keeping himself out of jail since then. If anybody wants to see an amazing film, The BB Files is amazing. Couldn't get anyone to release that film in America. And now Tucker Carlson
337
00:32:26.140 --> 00:32:28.779
has put it on the air at tuckercarlson.com.
338
00:32:28.860 --> 00:32:44.915
So that's Alex thinking outside the box, let me go do that. The difference here is what I think we're doing very smart with our film is looking for a community of support, not just can I get an influencer to attach himself and get it over because that's kind of a new that's
339
00:32:45.075 --> 00:32:51.555
that's a small fix? That's like it's not a real systemic fix. That's tweaking for the moment. What we want
340
00:32:51.980 --> 00:32:59.340
is to demonstrate that you can release a film with a community of concerned people who put the money forward,
341
00:32:59.820 --> 00:33:04.220
and that allows you to make an end run around the gatekeepers to just bypass them.
342
00:33:04.460 --> 00:33:07.180
And so when we talk about this 0.01 Bitcoin,
343
00:33:07.774 --> 00:33:58.130
0.01 Bitcoin would be a lot if what we were saying is, Hey, come see the movie for 0.01 Bitcoin. You're not paying to watch the movie. No, you're paying to produce the movie and to be a producer on the movie in a credited way on the movie. And that's very important. It's not just a token for you to show your date. Hey, look, I'm in the credits. It's about actually you thinking, hey, I want to show this to my community. We will be offering Bitcoiners the ability, for example, if they love being involved and they love the movie and what we're doing, they can help help us put it in theaters in their community. So the opening night in a theater could be free to the public, sort of paid for by Bitcoin. Once again, Bitcoin promoting freedom in a movie theater, but allowing me to get the public aware of something that would otherwise really struggle to get an audience. And, of course, we want the media to hear about this. We want the mainstream media to have to report
344
00:33:58.290 --> 00:34:01.730
on how Bitcoiners are making an end run around them.
345
00:34:02.210 --> 00:34:13.065
That is a delightful day when I open up The Wall Street Journal and read that instead of putting my movie out through the legacy system, I'm instead gonna be putting it out with the help of a community
346
00:34:13.225 --> 00:34:14.505
of sovereign
347
00:34:14.505 --> 00:34:15.465
thinking people.
348
00:34:16.665 --> 00:34:18.345
Yeah. I mean, to the point
349
00:34:18.744 --> 00:34:22.500
about the BB film being broadcast by Tucker,
350
00:34:23.220 --> 00:34:27.460
like, that's great. And he should deserve he deserves praise for that. Yes.
351
00:34:27.940 --> 00:34:28.820
But it
352
00:34:29.540 --> 00:34:33.220
doesn't really fundamentally solve anything. Right? It's it's still
353
00:34:33.525 --> 00:34:35.525
They found a gatekeeper
354
00:34:35.525 --> 00:34:36.965
that was sympathetic
355
00:34:37.045 --> 00:34:38.645
to their cause. Sympathetic. He
356
00:34:39.605 --> 00:34:44.965
could still be pressured into not releasing something. He's a person. He's got things to take away.
357
00:34:45.365 --> 00:34:47.365
And this was the beauty of my
358
00:34:48.325 --> 00:34:48.964
meeting Jack.
359
00:34:49.520 --> 00:34:51.200
When I asked Jack for money,
360
00:34:51.520 --> 00:35:00.720
Jack wasn't sidestepping giving me money. He said, yeah. I'll pay for it if you want, but that's not the way to do this. That doesn't fix the system. That would have just made him another gatekeeper,
361
00:35:00.800 --> 00:35:15.875
a financed gatekeeper. Right. Would have just been Jack doing what Tucker is doing. Right. And so when I saw the Tucker example with my friend, more power to Tucker, more power to Alex, but I think we have something far more visionary at work here, which is community based
362
00:35:16.035 --> 00:35:33.235
film releasing. Future films can be made this way. Future films can be released this way. You have to understand that a lot of films that we might want to have on important topics like all the total corruption in the pharma industry with vaccines and everything else or all the total corruption in banking or insurance
363
00:35:33.235 --> 00:35:39.955
or war or anything else. I've made a lot of films about the military industrial complex, the prison industrial complex.
364
00:35:40.035 --> 00:35:50.890
You show me an industrial complex, I'll make a film about it, but I can't get them made now because there's no money in it. You you start thinking, well, let me make about so what do they make? A movie like Melania.
365
00:35:51.210 --> 00:35:59.375
So you make a movie about the leader's wife, they pay for it, she profits from it, and they have total editorial control over it. Right. It's Bezin advertisement.
366
00:35:59.535 --> 00:36:14.860
Yeah. In communist Russia, how would it be any different? That's literally how they made movies under Hitler and under communist Russia. So unless we want to just make movies about the dear leader, we need community to get involved and to say, if you won't do it, movie business, we will.
367
00:36:17.020 --> 00:36:17.660
Yeah.
368
00:36:18.220 --> 00:36:26.145
It's a beautiful opportunity. Now I hope it works because if it does work, many people like me will reach out not only to Bitcoiners.
369
00:36:26.145 --> 00:36:30.865
Bitcoiners will have led the way. I could have a prison movie, and I might go to the ACLU
370
00:36:30.945 --> 00:36:44.610
and say, hey. Your top leadership needs to get behind this film and pay it forward. Make it so the world can see it of people who may not realize they need to see it and people where your people will lead the way. In this case, this theme,
371
00:36:44.770 --> 00:36:45.810
the decentralization
372
00:36:45.810 --> 00:36:53.675
themes in this movie, the anti establishment themes in this movie are, as I've come to understand it when Jack and I were at the Vegas conference together with you,
373
00:36:54.315 --> 00:36:59.115
the whole idea of it was the Bitcoin community is a community of people
374
00:36:59.914 --> 00:37:01.914
that have a radical opposition
375
00:37:02.750 --> 00:37:05.230
to the corrupt centralization of power.
376
00:37:05.710 --> 00:37:09.150
That is exactly how you could describe WikiLeaks.
377
00:37:09.150 --> 00:37:13.869
And so a film about WikiLeaks would be already good to support. But the fact that Bitcoin
378
00:37:13.869 --> 00:37:22.445
rescued WikiLeaks in 2011, which is part of the storyline of the film, means this is the perfect film for Bitcoiners to be the pioneer
379
00:37:22.525 --> 00:37:26.765
group who lead the way into this new model of film releasing.
380
00:37:26.925 --> 00:37:28.925
That's why we're really sick, joining a movement.
381
00:37:29.540 --> 00:37:34.500
I mean, it's not only that, right? Because it's also like Bitcoin is particularly unique
382
00:37:34.660 --> 00:37:38.340
for as a means of payment, and receipt and
383
00:37:38.340 --> 00:37:43.220
a treasury asset like holding it to fund the further distribution of the film.
384
00:37:43.619 --> 00:37:43.859
So
385
00:37:44.865 --> 00:37:47.425
even if this does prove it out at
386
00:37:47.905 --> 00:37:54.225
scale, there's obviously going to be more friction if you're trying to get a non Bitcoin community to donate Bitcoin.
387
00:37:54.865 --> 00:38:02.250
Right now, I think this is which I think as to be clear here, I think people will find a way. WikiLeaks,
388
00:38:02.329 --> 00:38:05.450
the people that donated Bitcoin to WikiLeaks in 2011,
389
00:38:05.609 --> 00:38:07.450
yes, some of them were Bitcoiners.
390
00:38:07.930 --> 00:38:11.394
Right. There's no way for me to know the exact breakdown.
391
00:38:11.394 --> 00:38:14.595
But I bet you that a bunch of them weren't Bitcoiners.
392
00:38:14.674 --> 00:38:20.355
And they became Bitcoiners because they needed to donate to WikiLeaks. They saw the need to donate to WikiLeaks.
393
00:38:20.434 --> 00:38:29.420
And they figured out how to obtain some Bitcoin and send it by the way, in a climate that was way more difficult to obtain Bitcoin coin than it is today. That was fifteen years ago.
394
00:38:29.740 --> 00:38:31.340
I think like,
395
00:38:31.900 --> 00:38:37.740
yeah, I mean, to the to the point to an anti war and anti military industrial complex
396
00:38:37.820 --> 00:38:38.380
film,
397
00:38:39.565 --> 00:38:41.645
a lot of the people that might find
398
00:38:41.965 --> 00:38:44.605
that message powerful aren't Bitcoiners.
399
00:38:44.605 --> 00:38:45.565
I do think
400
00:38:46.365 --> 00:38:47.005
that
401
00:38:47.165 --> 00:38:51.565
if the cause resonates with them, they will figure out a way to obtain Bitcoiners.
402
00:38:52.470 --> 00:38:54.950
Matt, do most Bitcoiners who,
403
00:38:55.350 --> 00:38:58.150
just say most Bitcoiners, do most Bitcoiners
404
00:38:58.150 --> 00:39:00.630
want other people to become Bitcoiners?
405
00:39:00.950 --> 00:39:01.590
Yes.
406
00:39:01.990 --> 00:39:08.445
Okay. Well, one of the goals here is for the film to have huge Bitcoin community support,
407
00:39:08.605 --> 00:39:10.045
where we really celebrate
408
00:39:10.045 --> 00:39:15.005
existing Bitcoiners and make them part of something exciting and kind of glamorous.
409
00:39:15.325 --> 00:39:27.270
It is a spy thriller. This movie pins you to your seat. I made it, and I can only say that because the story is what pins you to your seat. I just stayed out of the way. But basically, we wanna we wanna reinforce,
410
00:39:27.510 --> 00:39:29.590
you're a Bitcoiner. Good on you.
411
00:39:29.910 --> 00:39:35.275
You are doing something that is moving the world in a new direction. For other people who are not Bitcoiners,
412
00:39:35.355 --> 00:39:43.995
we want them looking over the fence and going, hey. What's going on over at the Bitcoin house? How come I don't have a cool car like that? So we want to create FOMO
413
00:39:43.995 --> 00:39:52.520
in the non Bitcoin world where somebody opens up The Wall Street Journal and hears, why is Eugene Durecki releasing his movie to Bitcoin only first?
414
00:39:52.760 --> 00:40:00.040
Why is he only accepting Bitcoin at his at his private watch party? I want everyone to feel that that's the party they don't have a ticket to.
415
00:40:00.935 --> 00:40:19.550
People who are not in the Bitcoin community. I'd love to generate a giant amount of envy because that will convert to people joining Bitcoin to be a producer on the film. On on basically three sides. Right? It's like the passionate audience side. It's kind of a shot across the bow over the powers that be on the film distribution side.
416
00:40:19.790 --> 00:40:23.550
And then I think the third piece, might be the most important piece,
417
00:40:23.870 --> 00:40:25.070
is like young
418
00:40:25.790 --> 00:40:26.830
filmmakers
419
00:40:26.830 --> 00:40:30.510
who think that the only way to make a living is to sell out,
420
00:40:31.005 --> 00:40:32.045
seeing this,
421
00:40:32.845 --> 00:40:43.164
being inspired by it. And then maybe it's gonna take them seven years to make the film. Where's Bitcoin gonna be in seven years when they're ready to distribute it in '20, you know, 2033?
422
00:40:43.164 --> 00:40:47.570
And this could inspire the next generation of great independent
423
00:40:48.050 --> 00:40:48.930
filmmakers.
424
00:40:49.090 --> 00:40:49.890
Yes.
425
00:40:49.970 --> 00:40:52.370
I mean, I think of past societies
426
00:40:52.370 --> 00:41:08.205
where there was like crackdowns in places like communist Russia, where people would hand each other secret stuff on the street that made them all part of a club of resistance. This happened in East Berlin, for example, before the overthrow. And I think in general,
427
00:41:08.365 --> 00:41:12.045
what I believe we are doing here is whispering
428
00:41:12.045 --> 00:41:13.244
to a group of people
429
00:41:13.850 --> 00:41:16.170
that we can band together
430
00:41:16.730 --> 00:41:18.810
and make this movie
431
00:41:18.970 --> 00:41:21.210
go wide, but in the process,
432
00:41:21.610 --> 00:41:22.810
revolutionize
433
00:41:22.810 --> 00:41:25.370
how movie may movie making and releasing
434
00:41:25.530 --> 00:41:33.035
can happen. And look. Hollywood is destroying itself right now. One family, the Ellisons, are about to own
435
00:41:33.355 --> 00:41:35.115
most of the media landscape,
436
00:41:35.355 --> 00:41:37.595
and their main competitor is Netflix,
437
00:41:37.675 --> 00:41:46.510
which has an algorithm they don't reveal to the public. Filmmakers are getting kind of screwed by them left and right. So you've got, like, King Kong versus Godzilla
438
00:41:46.510 --> 00:41:47.950
up there cannibalizing
439
00:41:47.950 --> 00:41:51.230
the world, and we're just we're just the townspeople
440
00:41:51.230 --> 00:42:02.465
running around on the ground. Well, let's band together. Use this movie. And it's not just because it's mine, but it's a good case study. Use this movie to see if we can't compete and give the public its voice.
441
00:42:03.345 --> 00:42:06.660
Have you done deals with Netflix before? Yes.
442
00:42:07.140 --> 00:42:17.859
What is a typical Netflix deal look like? It's very opaque. They pay you. They won't tell you how your movie is doing. They won't show you the metrics on it. So they don't let you know
443
00:42:18.115 --> 00:42:25.635
whether they've underpaid you or overpaid you. And it's only that they became the only game in town through a lot of very clever corporate wrangling
444
00:42:25.635 --> 00:42:30.675
that everybody is stuck with them. And I'm not here to just bash Netflix.
445
00:42:31.010 --> 00:42:37.010
It's the whole system, and it's the way in which the system I showed the movie to Netflix over several years,
446
00:42:37.410 --> 00:42:40.610
and they would tell me, oh my god. It's incredible.
447
00:42:40.849 --> 00:42:45.170
Oh, it's so fascinating. Oh, it pins you to your seat. That was their phrase.
448
00:42:46.404 --> 00:42:57.845
It's so important what you're doing. And that was the death knell. As soon as they told me how important what I was doing was, I knew what they were saying was, I'll get in trouble if I try to run this. It challenges
449
00:42:57.845 --> 00:43:10.220
every administration for the past fifteen or twenty years. It shows how people lie on both sides of the aisle. It shows how corrupt the system is, and it shows what happens to you when you wanna know the truth.
450
00:43:10.540 --> 00:43:12.940
And they don't want that because that scares
451
00:43:13.825 --> 00:43:16.305
them about their, for example,
452
00:43:16.625 --> 00:43:18.625
their approval by the FCC.
453
00:43:18.865 --> 00:43:21.505
So for example, you run into all of them saying,
454
00:43:21.745 --> 00:43:31.390
we love your movie, but we can't take the risk of getting our license challenged or this and that. Meanwhile, the movie is crystal clean. There's not one thing in it that can be legally challenged.
455
00:43:31.630 --> 00:43:38.109
We're not stupid. We've got lawyered to our next. Part of the financial burden. That's part of the financial burden. So all that securitization,
456
00:43:38.509 --> 00:44:08.520
that's not the problem. The problem is they're just living in a culture of fear where it's much easier for them to keep their job if they keep things pretty milquetoast. They'll do little stories that are even very dark about someone who killed their wife or some, you know, prison that's mean to its prisoners or this and that. It's just when you go wide when you say, step way back. Let's put the system itself on trial. That's like a joke in a movie. I'm gonna put the system on trial. Well, that's what we're supposed to do. The public is not supposed to fear politicians.
457
00:44:08.760 --> 00:44:19.955
Politicians are supposed to fear the public. That was the point of the country. And movies like this are in keeping with the founding spirit of the country. The media system is opposed
458
00:44:19.955 --> 00:44:21.875
to the founding spirit of the country.
459
00:44:22.195 --> 00:44:25.795
We are hoping a group of us can stand in opposition to that.
460
00:44:27.660 --> 00:44:28.380
Love it.
461
00:44:29.660 --> 00:44:31.660
I mean, let's jump into
462
00:44:31.740 --> 00:44:34.700
Julian and WikiLeaks a little bit. Sure.
463
00:44:35.820 --> 00:44:39.099
I mean, so you were working on it for seven years. I mean, I assume
464
00:44:40.075 --> 00:44:45.115
it's significantly like impacted your perspective on the world. Like if
465
00:44:46.475 --> 00:44:51.275
it's one thing, what is like the single biggest takeaway from your time focused on
466
00:44:52.235 --> 00:44:55.595
Julian and his and his movement and his life, life mission?
467
00:44:56.340 --> 00:45:02.020
I think it's in the title of the film, and people have to see the film to get more context of this.
468
00:45:02.340 --> 00:45:04.100
But it's called the $6,000,000,000
469
00:45:04.100 --> 00:45:06.980
man, Julian Assange and the price of truth,
470
00:45:07.300 --> 00:45:11.474
because I got an answer to what truth costs. $6,000,000,000
471
00:45:11.474 --> 00:45:15.555
was the bounty that was put on Julian Assange's head by the US government.
472
00:45:15.795 --> 00:45:17.315
The country of Ecuador,
473
00:45:17.474 --> 00:45:18.435
whose embassy
474
00:45:18.435 --> 00:45:25.920
Assange took refuge in when the US government was persecuting him, That country was ultimately paid $6,000,000,000
475
00:45:26.080 --> 00:45:30.560
to torture him until he would leave the embassy so he could be apprehended.
476
00:45:30.960 --> 00:45:34.240
When I learned that the US government used the IMF and the World Bank,
477
00:45:34.815 --> 00:45:38.815
which I already knew they use in a manipulative and destructive way,
478
00:45:39.214 --> 00:45:43.855
what they did was secured a loan for Ecuador of $6,000,000,000
479
00:45:44.175 --> 00:45:52.620
in exchange for expelling and maltreating Julian Assange, that the US government would do that, and that the IMF and the World Bank would be used
480
00:45:52.780 --> 00:45:57.900
as instruments for that kind of torture and crime. I really had my mind,
481
00:45:58.220 --> 00:46:01.180
even my mind, which was already pretty investigative
482
00:46:01.180 --> 00:46:06.445
about what The US does and what other countries do wrong in the world. That was a new level of
483
00:46:07.165 --> 00:46:08.205
savagery,
484
00:46:08.285 --> 00:46:09.325
$6,000,000,000
485
00:46:09.325 --> 00:46:15.405
on the life of one man who, oops, happens to represent all of our right to the truth.
486
00:46:16.560 --> 00:46:20.080
So I guess our right to the truth is worth $6,000,000,000
487
00:46:20.080 --> 00:46:21.200
as a bounty.
488
00:46:21.840 --> 00:46:22.960
I mean, presumably,
489
00:46:24.000 --> 00:46:26.640
they kept increasing it. Right? They would they would
490
00:46:27.200 --> 00:46:27.840
yeah. Was like
491
00:46:28.960 --> 00:46:31.520
mean, this is what I think people miss
492
00:46:32.375 --> 00:46:34.455
on the anti Snowden side.
493
00:46:34.535 --> 00:46:40.935
Bring it over to Snowden who you did interview in the film as well. Like, people give them shit for going to China and then to Russia.
494
00:46:41.494 --> 00:46:43.815
It's like the short list of countries
495
00:46:43.895 --> 00:46:47.974
that if The US wants to ruin your life that exist
496
00:46:47.340 --> 00:46:49.180
might just be those two countries.
497
00:46:49.580 --> 00:46:50.940
Like, is amazing.
498
00:46:51.740 --> 00:46:55.420
I mean, I thought the coverage you had on on Ecuador,
499
00:46:55.820 --> 00:47:00.645
I forget who was the leader who protected him at first in Ecuador? President
500
00:47:00.645 --> 00:47:01.525
Correa.
501
00:47:01.845 --> 00:47:02.645
Correa.
502
00:47:02.645 --> 00:47:04.165
Yeah. I mean, it was
503
00:47:05.125 --> 00:47:09.925
and you you have him. You interviewed him in the film as well. Yes. Yeah. Yeah.
504
00:47:11.125 --> 00:47:16.490
Like, he doesn't he doesn't get enough credit. They're tiny tiny, not very influential,
505
00:47:16.490 --> 00:47:17.770
not very, you know,
506
00:47:18.410 --> 00:47:20.330
politically significant country
507
00:47:20.730 --> 00:47:25.770
that really stood up to the to The US juggernaut in a way that I think,
508
00:47:26.565 --> 00:47:32.085
at the time, lot of people didn't expect that to happen. I mean, the Ecuadorian embassy
509
00:47:32.484 --> 00:47:37.525
in London, first of it was not like a real embassy. I mean, technically was a real embassy.
510
00:47:37.765 --> 00:47:44.520
But like, didn't even have like their own parking garage. It's like a tiny little flat. It's like a dental office. Basically.
511
00:47:45.240 --> 00:47:46.760
Yeah. Crappy one. And
512
00:47:47.240 --> 00:47:50.440
how long was Julian there for? Seven years.
513
00:47:50.760 --> 00:47:55.559
And they like they held off for maybe five, five and a half years until
514
00:47:56.265 --> 00:47:59.465
there was a leadership change and then the pressure really mounted.
515
00:47:59.625 --> 00:48:02.345
Yes. And they basically tortured him out of
516
00:48:02.744 --> 00:48:06.825
the building. The new government of Lenin Moreno who took over after Correa,
517
00:48:07.065 --> 00:48:09.785
they made a deal, high leadership in the Trump administration,
518
00:48:10.390 --> 00:48:18.630
flew to Lennon Moreno in Ecuador and made a deal with him to expel Julian Assange. And after he'd been in the embassy for seven years, they took him out of the embassy,
519
00:48:18.710 --> 00:48:32.005
which is a violation of diplomatic law, and they threw him in Belmarsh Prison, which is a maximum security prison in London, the Guantanamo Bay of England, and they kept him there for another five years. If we believe in the truth and we believe in someone,
520
00:48:32.245 --> 00:48:35.445
whether we like Julian Assange or not, by the way, I wanna tell your audience,
521
00:48:35.685 --> 00:48:46.040
this is not a film about whether you like this guy. I don't care about that. I never cared about that the whole time. If I'd found that he was a criminal, well, I would have had to make that film too.
522
00:48:46.360 --> 00:48:51.000
But instead, we found that actually what was done to him and all of us was criminal.
523
00:48:51.465 --> 00:48:53.705
And the goal ultimately became,
524
00:48:54.185 --> 00:49:01.865
you know, tell the hardest, truest story we can because that is the one that's gonna wake the world up about the lengths
525
00:49:02.025 --> 00:49:07.940
that The US was willing to go. And by the way, you know, Rafael Correa studied in Chicago.
526
00:49:08.099 --> 00:49:10.340
He was studying to be like a constitutional,
527
00:49:10.340 --> 00:49:13.540
like, classic, new world, neoliberal
528
00:49:13.540 --> 00:49:22.735
Democrat. This guy was a huge lover of America until he saw what America was doing to Ecuador and Peru and every other country, Venezuela,
529
00:49:22.735 --> 00:49:42.120
everywhere else. And when he saw that, yeah, he had the he had the balls and the maybe poor judgment to stand up against America, which then took over. He's a wanted man now in Ecuador. They want him as a criminal even though he's the person who rescued Julian Assange. So the the stakes here could not be higher for all of us.
530
00:49:42.440 --> 00:49:47.975
Because remember, until further notice, America is still the place where ideas
531
00:49:47.975 --> 00:49:49.975
of constitutional
532
00:49:49.975 --> 00:49:50.855
freedom
533
00:49:51.175 --> 00:49:53.175
still at least have a chance.
534
00:49:53.655 --> 00:50:00.215
Our enemies around the world, whether it's China, Russia, whatever, those are places that don't even have that constitutional footing.
535
00:50:00.680 --> 00:50:02.440
So if we lose it here,
536
00:50:03.160 --> 00:50:04.040
woah
537
00:50:04.120 --> 00:50:05.400
goes the world.
538
00:50:05.880 --> 00:50:23.665
So I still believe, even though I'm a critic of America, I'm a critic of America because I seek the best here, as I think so many of us do, and we lead the way. And I believe the Bitcoiners on this movie can lead the way for America, which is then supposed to lead the way because America has lost her way.
539
00:50:23.905 --> 00:50:36.190
And I hope by putting this team together of all your freaks getting behind this thing and having an army of people reaching the public with these ideas and this story that we can really
540
00:50:36.910 --> 00:50:39.710
make a new equation here, make a new example here.
541
00:50:42.685 --> 00:50:43.485
Agreed.
542
00:50:43.965 --> 00:50:48.125
Should I tell people the date and time and all that of what we're doing? Yeah.
543
00:50:48.605 --> 00:50:51.405
Just real quick. I just also wanna remind people
544
00:50:51.645 --> 00:50:57.530
because, you know, I lived it firsthand. A lot of us did. But I think, you know, some people maybe didn't.
545
00:50:57.930 --> 00:51:01.690
This entire time, the US government was gaslighting everybody,
546
00:51:02.010 --> 00:51:06.410
saying it was about Swedish rape allegations. And as we know today,
547
00:51:06.810 --> 00:51:10.250
the whole plan the entire time, like many Julian supporters said,
548
00:51:10.815 --> 00:51:12.975
was to extradite him to The United States
549
00:51:13.214 --> 00:51:16.655
for the documents he released, for the information he released.
550
00:51:16.815 --> 00:51:22.095
That was the whole point. And they literally gaslit people for a decade plus about And
551
00:51:22.575 --> 00:51:25.135
now it's just common knowledge. And people just
552
00:51:25.700 --> 00:51:32.740
continue about their day. They just continue about their day. And as an American, as someone who's raising a family here, building businesses here,
553
00:51:33.940 --> 00:51:41.715
like we are we're supposed to be the shining city on the hill. Like we are supposed to lead by example. And this case is a clear cut case
554
00:51:42.035 --> 00:51:43.795
where we did the exact opposite,
555
00:51:45.075 --> 00:51:47.315
where we did the exact opposite. And,
556
00:51:47.635 --> 00:51:48.435
you know,
557
00:51:48.835 --> 00:51:49.475
the truth
558
00:51:49.875 --> 00:51:58.589
the truth needs to be out there. Yeah. And, I mean, there's too many of them. You know? Edward Snowden is in the film for a reason. I flew to Russia to interview him, I felt like I was interviewing
559
00:51:58.750 --> 00:52:04.750
Batman about Superman because I was asking him all about Julian Assange. But the truth is he's another superhero
560
00:52:05.075 --> 00:52:08.275
who stands among us and said, I won't take it anymore.
561
00:52:08.595 --> 00:52:25.880
And there's too many. Reality Winner is another one. Chelsea Manning is another one. Daniel Ellsberg is another one. Ralph Nader is another one. It goes on and on. The people who this system destroys because they seek the truth that the public has the right to. And we are the only people who can save us.
562
00:52:26.200 --> 00:52:35.320
Those in power will not. Those in power in Washington will not, and their friends in corporate America will not. They are all in a Faustian bargain at the public's expense.
563
00:52:36.025 --> 00:52:40.345
And I can't stress enough that's why we are looking to put together this team.
564
00:52:40.665 --> 00:52:48.825
And I would be hugely honored by being joined by all of you who can afford it. And if you can't afford it, I totally understand that. There will be other things
565
00:52:49.059 --> 00:52:58.260
down the line, other ways to get involved in the movie. But right now, the only way to get to those other releases of the movie is to have a big successful
566
00:52:58.260 --> 00:52:59.140
premiere.
567
00:52:59.140 --> 00:53:03.619
So that's what we're doing on June 27. We have what we're calling a private watch party
568
00:53:03.885 --> 00:53:15.085
at 4PM Eastern Time on Saturday, the twenty seventh. So it's a summer afternoon. We tried to make it work in California and New York and London and all these places.
569
00:53:15.325 --> 00:53:22.480
So to the best we can, it's a good time for everybody. But it's like a pay per view. It happens one time. And that's a celebration
570
00:53:22.800 --> 00:53:29.040
that only the producers get to be part of. So it's a private watch party for the Bitcoin producers
571
00:53:29.120 --> 00:53:34.395
of The 6,000,000,000 Dollar Man. You can learn more about it at the 6000000000dollarman.com.
572
00:53:34.395 --> 00:53:51.760
Matt, can we put for the whole thing? Can we put that QR code and the and the and the web address and the whatever so people can get it? Yeah. Everything will be in the show notes. Eugene is obsessed with the QR codes. This is an audio only show, but the link will be in the show notes. But go to thesixbilliondollarman.com.
573
00:53:52.000 --> 00:53:54.720
That's right. Thesixbilliondollarman.com.
574
00:53:54.720 --> 00:53:59.680
We've tried to make everything pretty clear there so people know what they're getting themselves into,
575
00:53:59.920 --> 00:54:03.765
what they're joining. And it's very much myself, Jack, and Matt,
576
00:54:03.925 --> 00:54:22.450
who are then kind of shepherding this thing forward. After the watch party, we're then going to start to come out wider with the help of Bitcoiners to the more normie public. But even then, we're going to be encouraging people to pay in Bitcoin and join Bitcoin to do so, even at lower price points. But this first watch party, the real vision here
577
00:54:22.610 --> 00:54:24.450
is a Bitcoin supported
578
00:54:24.450 --> 00:54:25.330
premier
579
00:54:25.410 --> 00:54:28.610
that can pay it forward to get it to everyone else.
580
00:54:29.170 --> 00:54:46.234
By the way, we're nearing the end of our time here. Just on Bitcoin support for Julian and the movement and his movement that he championed. It's actually more recent than the 2011. Some freaks might remember, some freaks might not. It kind of
581
00:54:47.240 --> 00:54:54.360
flew under the radar a bit depending on your circles. When Julian was effectively freed by the Biden administration,
582
00:54:54.920 --> 00:54:57.480
he had to go from London and get back
583
00:54:57.960 --> 00:54:59.880
to Australia, his home
584
00:55:00.285 --> 00:55:01.325
with his family,
585
00:55:01.805 --> 00:55:03.725
and he needed to stop somewhere
586
00:55:04.045 --> 00:55:08.365
to sign the documents with The US. Obviously, he did not wanna step foot in
587
00:55:09.805 --> 00:55:16.750
in The US because he didn't trust them rightfully so. And so they needed a charter, a private plane that they couldn't afford. And someone out there,
588
00:55:17.630 --> 00:55:20.349
some Bitcoiner out there donated $500,000
589
00:55:20.349 --> 00:55:22.109
worth of Bitcoin to pay for that plane.
590
00:55:22.430 --> 00:55:27.230
Yeah. Which is wild. Right? Like that isn't it only possible with Bitcoin.
591
00:55:27.309 --> 00:55:29.470
You cannot do a $500,000
592
00:55:29.470 --> 00:55:30.430
a non donation
593
00:55:31.355 --> 00:55:32.635
any other way.
594
00:55:34.315 --> 00:55:35.515
And I think
595
00:55:35.915 --> 00:55:37.435
that's what this
596
00:55:39.994 --> 00:55:41.675
concept is trying to
597
00:55:43.434 --> 00:55:46.075
bring to even wider group of people, right?
598
00:55:46.750 --> 00:55:49.310
Yeah, very much so. Somebody
599
00:55:50.670 --> 00:55:52.110
said when we were doing this,
600
00:55:52.590 --> 00:55:58.350
a movie that the gatekeepers won't touch is a perfect movie to show that gatekeepers are no longer necessary.
601
00:55:58.805 --> 00:56:06.085
And I think what I'm discovering more and more when we first said that, we were like, Yeah, that's a cool thing to say. And what I've realized much more is that
602
00:56:06.325 --> 00:56:08.885
we're actually looking at the possibility
603
00:56:08.965 --> 00:56:11.285
that Bitcoiners can lead the charge into
604
00:56:11.589 --> 00:56:12.470
generally
605
00:56:12.470 --> 00:56:15.110
a different way of getting the truth to the public.
606
00:56:15.270 --> 00:56:17.270
Because if we can win on this one,
607
00:56:17.510 --> 00:56:37.055
then movie after movie can be done this way, led by Bitcoiners and even then followed by and emulated by others. But this becomes the Woodstock of this moment. It becomes a thing that people get involved in, and they look back and say, That was when distribution changed. I think of it a little bit like when Napster suddenly emerged, and it totally radicalized
608
00:56:37.055 --> 00:56:59.385
the whole way the music business worked. And that's gone in good ways and bad ways. But I remember one of the things it did was suddenly jam bands were really popular because there was no longer this, like, stranglehold of the music business on studio only bands and all that stuff. It freed up. And with that freedom came a lot of art and a lot of amazing groups that can do that and a huge explosion in live events,
609
00:56:59.785 --> 00:57:03.545
you know, the the sort of Lollapalooza world until now.
610
00:57:03.785 --> 00:57:07.545
And we're kind of looking to do the same thing here. I wanna say,
611
00:57:07.704 --> 00:57:15.190
I look back and instead of making a deal with the with the corrupt system and watching them bury my film, I instead trusted
612
00:57:15.430 --> 00:57:16.790
fellow citizens
613
00:57:16.869 --> 00:57:22.870
who were introduced to me by Jack and by Matt, who I think have common cause. We are kindred spirits
614
00:57:22.950 --> 00:57:27.109
in wanting the world to be more truthful, more peaceful, more free,
615
00:57:27.825 --> 00:57:32.785
people, planet peace, those kind of things that we should all care about with children or without them.
616
00:57:33.984 --> 00:57:34.705
Love it.
617
00:57:35.425 --> 00:57:41.984
I think that's a great place to end it. Eugene, thank you for joining us. Thank you so much. Thesixbilliondollarman.com.
618
00:57:42.230 --> 00:57:46.470
Please visit and see Spelled out. It's not the number six. It's S I X.
619
00:57:46.710 --> 00:57:48.309
Thesixbilliondollarman.com.
620
00:57:48.309 --> 00:57:51.990
Thank you. And all the relevant links will be in the show notes. Give us your feedback.
621
00:57:52.630 --> 00:58:18.190
Oh yeah, we're also gonna be running the conversation here at Primal. I wanna plug Primal because in the weeks that come, Matt, myself, Paul Keating, and others, we're gonna be having this discussion, I hope, Jack, so that we really all the issues that are implicit in this get discussed because that's one of the things you're doing. You're joining us in our inner circle to shape this. As I say, we're kinda building the plane while flying it, and we would love your feedback because it'll help us build it better.
622
00:58:20.990 --> 00:58:22.270
Love it. Freaks,
623
00:58:23.345 --> 00:58:27.665
hope you enjoyed the show. Let us know what you think. And we want you to be a part of this financially
624
00:58:27.665 --> 00:58:28.705
and otherwise.
625
00:58:29.505 --> 00:58:41.550
All feedback is appreciated. I have a great show lined up on Friday. Well, great show. It's it's gonna it's focused on the attack on Bitcoin self custody in South Africa. So I have some South African Bitcoiners coming on Friday, think it's very timely after
626
00:58:41.790 --> 00:58:43.230
this conversation with Eugene.
627
00:58:44.053 --> 00:58:47.413
All relevant links, as always, are at cilldispatch.com.
628
00:58:47.413 --> 00:58:49.093
Share with your friends and family.
629
00:58:49.733 --> 00:58:52.373
Love you all. Stay humble stack sets. Peace.
