CTP BooksAuthorsWeekApril2026B (S3EAprSpecial4) The GOAT Within

WEBVTT
00:00:08.620 --> 00:00:14.460
Hello, welcome to another episode of Pristitutionalist Podcast.
00:00:14.700 --> 00:00:17.020
I am your host, Joseph M.
00:00:17.339 --> 00:00:17.899
Leiner.
00:00:18.460 --> 00:00:21.899
That's L-E-N-A-R-D at LoFrench.
00:00:21.980 --> 00:00:24.699
It's not it's wonderful down an O.
00:00:25.980 --> 00:00:27.900
Thank you for tuning in.
00:00:28.220 --> 00:00:32.299
As Graham Norton used to say on his show.
00:00:32.620 --> 00:00:34.780
Let's get on with the show.
00:00:37.260 --> 00:00:49.180
For those looking on the five behind the scenes video channels, sneak peek videos, you will see.
00:00:49.659 --> 00:01:02.700
Oh, first let me say, this is a cheat intro again, kind of like I do on Saturdays if I'm presenting a video exclusive from prior the same cheat.
00:01:03.019 --> 00:01:26.459
You'll see the same or here on the 40-ish audio only platforms, this same mini intro, but I am wearing the Book of Kennedy Project Carpe DM bookshirt because welcome to Books Slash Authors Week.
00:01:26.939 --> 00:01:31.340
Just one week for April of 2026.
00:01:31.500 --> 00:01:41.980
Prior I had Books slash authors weeks this time to get caught up on some back interviews of authors.
00:01:42.219 --> 00:01:53.420
I'm doing a singular book slash books slash authors week for April 2026, Monday through Friday.
00:01:53.579 --> 00:02:05.739
Also, I want to say at the end of each episode, I will tack on one of my newer, more recent Suno created songs.
00:02:05.899 --> 00:02:09.340
If you remember, uh my dad, Ted Lunner Jr.
00:02:09.500 --> 00:02:15.340
in Poker Kings, TinyURL.com, The Poker Kings to see that tribute page, Sam.
00:02:15.740 --> 00:02:16.860
He had a record deal.
00:02:17.180 --> 00:02:19.660
I used to write and record music the old way.
00:02:19.740 --> 00:02:36.380
You know, get out a piece of sheet music and write out the actual song on the sheet music, the chords, the notes, the lyrics, the buttons all my equipment's been long sold off.
00:02:36.620 --> 00:02:48.060
But thanks to Suno AI music system, I'm back to writing lyrics and releasing music again.
00:02:48.380 --> 00:02:49.500
Thank you, Suno.
00:02:50.140 --> 00:03:08.700
So each day, Monday through Friday of Bookslash Authors Week 2026 April, I will check on a Suno Aided Created new song from Joseph M.
00:03:08.780 --> 00:03:11.820
Leonard, J Leonard Detroit on Suno.
00:03:12.380 --> 00:03:13.820
So thank you to them.
00:03:14.060 --> 00:03:16.460
And I've already delayed things.
00:03:16.540 --> 00:03:19.580
So without further ado, let's get to an author.
00:03:19.820 --> 00:03:22.700
Joining me today is Timothy Ward.
00:03:23.420 --> 00:03:30.700
Before we get into the who he is, why he's here, he's got a story to tell about Xfinity.
00:03:30.939 --> 00:03:33.820
Go ahead and say what you were saying in the green room.
00:03:34.060 --> 00:03:35.820
Oh, Joseph, I love you already.
00:03:35.980 --> 00:03:40.219
Thank you because Xfinity is driving me crazy.
00:03:41.340 --> 00:03:43.420
Yeah, they up and down.
00:03:44.460 --> 00:03:47.100
For the second day, like I was on three shows yesterday.
00:03:47.260 --> 00:03:51.740
Today I'm booked for three, and unbeknownst, they don't announce it.
00:03:51.820 --> 00:03:55.340
They're in my quote unquote area laying with the line.
00:03:55.500 --> 00:03:58.140
So I said, you know, you gotta be kidding me.
00:03:58.219 --> 00:04:03.900
So the shut, you know, with the internet's going in and out and all of this crazy stuff.
00:04:04.060 --> 00:04:07.900
So to to to come here for for you, Joseph.
00:04:08.140 --> 00:04:20.860
I I just drove like a madman over to a business friend of mine's office to use, and I barely made it here for our one o'clock uh tea time here at all, right?
00:04:21.579 --> 00:04:28.060
Yeah, because two days ago we were supposed to record and there was a mix-up of time then.
00:04:28.379 --> 00:04:30.139
So it's like, oh boy.
00:04:30.540 --> 00:04:31.259
Yep, yep.
00:04:31.420 --> 00:04:35.500
He's gonna think I'm uh a nut job if I miss this one.
00:04:37.020 --> 00:04:42.300
So yeah, you were saying, uh, you gotta tune into the Wi-Fi there.
00:04:42.379 --> 00:04:44.139
And oh, how can you set up?
00:04:44.220 --> 00:04:45.259
Where can you set up?
00:04:45.340 --> 00:04:47.259
What room can you set up in?
00:04:47.579 --> 00:04:48.060
Oh yeah.
00:04:48.379 --> 00:04:52.060
Yeah, I feel like I just ran a marathon in about 32 minutes.
00:04:54.060 --> 00:05:00.860
I got the Wi-Fi wrong, and I'm like, he gave me the wrong wife because of the new new new place I just set up here so I I can get on with you.
00:05:00.939 --> 00:05:03.740
And um, I must have typed that thing in six times.
00:05:03.900 --> 00:05:05.660
I'm like, oh no, oh no.
00:05:05.819 --> 00:05:08.540
He gave me the anyway.
00:05:09.020 --> 00:05:09.740
God bless us.
00:05:09.900 --> 00:05:10.460
Here we are.
00:05:10.620 --> 00:05:14.780
Yeah, thank somebody doesn't want us to record.
00:05:15.020 --> 00:05:17.500
Hey, that's one way of looking at it.
00:05:19.100 --> 00:05:25.740
At any rate, so Times the Ward, the goat within book.
00:05:25.980 --> 00:05:31.340
As long as it isn't the sheep within, we've got enough sheep all on the planet.
00:05:31.740 --> 00:05:32.780
Oh, yeah, we do.
00:05:33.020 --> 00:05:37.819
So if for nothing else I wanted you on to, I could make that lame pun.
00:05:39.819 --> 00:05:41.340
No, no, bye-bye, everybody.
00:05:41.500 --> 00:05:42.620
No, you know what?
00:05:42.780 --> 00:05:46.540
You just made me think maybe I should have called the book The Lion Within.
00:05:47.500 --> 00:05:47.819
Right.
00:05:49.340 --> 00:05:49.900
Exactly.
00:05:50.139 --> 00:05:51.500
The next edition, right?
00:05:51.740 --> 00:05:52.780
You can write it.
00:05:52.939 --> 00:05:59.259
Well, there's there's short stories, there's novella, there's novelette, then there's novel.
00:05:59.420 --> 00:06:13.900
I invented the novel X, EXT for extended because if there's a novella and a novelette is shorter than the average novel, a novel X would be like the director's cut.
00:06:14.139 --> 00:06:24.300
You could do The Lion Within as an extended version, expanded version, or novel X, EXP for expanded.
00:06:24.379 --> 00:06:29.259
You could do an expanded version of the Goat Within, call it the Lion Within.
00:06:29.579 --> 00:06:30.060
Oh, you know what?
00:06:30.139 --> 00:06:31.259
You get making it.
00:06:31.819 --> 00:06:34.220
Yeah, add some extra chapters to that.
00:06:34.379 --> 00:06:34.780
Oh yeah.
00:06:34.860 --> 00:06:35.420
Oh yeah.
00:06:35.660 --> 00:06:53.100
So indeed, at any rate, but before we get into the goat within, uh, about lifespan longevity and fitness, let's do the proverbial Christian show, pun intended proverbs, proverbial first question.
00:06:53.420 --> 00:06:55.500
Where were you born and raised?
00:06:55.660 --> 00:06:56.939
Where are you now?
00:06:57.500 --> 00:07:03.340
Significant places you've been in between, how much time you spent in prison for what?
00:07:03.500 --> 00:07:05.259
All that nitty-gritty.
00:07:07.420 --> 00:07:11.420
For the record, yeah, for no, for the record, he's laughing.
00:07:11.500 --> 00:07:12.620
He knows it's a joke.
00:07:12.780 --> 00:07:13.579
It's a joke.
00:07:13.819 --> 00:07:15.100
I'm just joking.
00:07:15.340 --> 00:07:18.540
But yeah, where are you born and raised and all that stuff?
00:07:18.780 --> 00:07:26.460
So uh I'm I'm uh coming to you right now from a beautiful uh coastline up in New Hampshire, where I was born and raised.
00:07:26.699 --> 00:07:36.060
Rye, New Hampshire, Newcastle, New Hampshire, little seaside town north of Boston, about maybe maybe an hour north of Boston, Massachusetts.
00:07:36.139 --> 00:07:37.500
Everybody knows that, right?
00:07:37.660 --> 00:07:42.860
Um, and I'm south of Portland, Maine, which would be the next kind of big city.
00:07:43.100 --> 00:07:45.660
Portland, Maine is about 50 minutes north of me.
00:07:45.740 --> 00:07:47.180
So I'm right in the middle.
00:07:47.500 --> 00:07:50.780
Absolute live free or die state of New Hampshire.
00:07:51.020 --> 00:07:52.220
Love New Hampshire.
00:07:52.300 --> 00:07:58.139
It's it's uh it's where I'm raised, it's where I know lots and lots of people, in particular, the coastline here.
00:07:58.379 --> 00:08:16.460
When people come here from all over the world now, you know, New York, uh, Europe, Canada, Boston, they come here thinking it's going to be a little, you know, cow, you know, uh fields and cows and you know, pigs, and you know, where where are all the shotguns and the pitchforks?
00:08:16.540 --> 00:08:24.540
And they come here and they're like, wow, this place is right on the ocean, 16 miles of coastline, absolutely gorgeous.
00:08:24.780 --> 00:08:30.139
And this area has absolutely exploded in growth, unfortunately.
00:08:30.300 --> 00:08:46.939
It's okay for a little growth, I get it, but it is really the epicenter in uh the Northeast, or one of the epicenters where prices of real estate and houses and buildings going up, it's it's at such a fever pitch, you wonder how long can this go on for?
00:08:47.259 --> 00:08:51.179
My family, you know, I've got my grandfather, great-grandfather that lived here.
00:08:51.339 --> 00:08:52.459
They were lobstermen.
00:08:52.620 --> 00:08:55.339
Little boats, that's how they made their, you know, made their living.
00:08:55.500 --> 00:09:01.419
That ran up all the way to my older brother, was a lifelong lobsterman, so he carried that tradition on.
00:09:01.579 --> 00:09:03.259
I'm probably the one that broke it.
00:09:04.779 --> 00:09:06.059
Uh I eat lobster.
00:09:06.139 --> 00:09:09.259
I I tell people I'm so sick of lobster, I had it my whole life, right?
00:09:09.339 --> 00:09:14.219
But people have people are fascinated with lobster, New England lobster, all that sort of stuff.
00:09:14.459 --> 00:09:23.259
We grew up in that town where it was little, small Newcastle, New Hampshire, small little town, blue collar, you know, a couple fishing piers, and you know, tiny.
00:09:23.339 --> 00:09:27.019
It's a little island in between Portsmouth, New Hampshire and Rye, New Hampshire.
00:09:27.179 --> 00:09:35.099
If anybody cares to look it up quick on Google or whatever, you'll see this little island, about 900 people live on it, connected by you know two little bridges.
00:09:35.259 --> 00:09:40.459
My mom's an artist, very well known around here, painting different landscapes and all that sort of stuff.
00:09:40.699 --> 00:09:43.659
I guess I had that small town experience growing up.
00:09:43.899 --> 00:09:50.379
Once it was uh discovered, the the houses here, you know, beautiful house on the on the ocean when I was young.
00:09:50.539 --> 00:09:52.459
I just turned 61 last week.
00:09:52.620 --> 00:09:56.059
I remember as a little kid, you know, delivering the newspaper, all that stuff.
00:09:56.219 --> 00:10:00.219
These house you could buy a house for 80 grand on the ocean.
00:10:00.459 --> 00:10:04.539
Now those same houses are going for six, seven million and more.
00:10:04.859 --> 00:10:06.620
So you you you sort of itch your head.
00:10:06.779 --> 00:10:07.819
Is that what what is that?
00:10:07.899 --> 00:11:16.769
Is that really how much the dollar has devalued over, you know, no, it has devalued a ton, but I don't think that much.
00:11:17.329 --> 00:11:19.649
We're in for another bubble burst again.
00:11:19.889 --> 00:11:20.449
I agree.
00:11:20.689 --> 00:11:23.490
Housing is so overvalued again.
00:11:23.730 --> 00:11:35.169
I fear another 2008 because people will the it when they correct, people will be underwater in their mortgage in like 2008, they'll walk away.
00:11:35.329 --> 00:11:38.610
Banks will be holding a bunch of foreclosed properties.
00:11:38.769 --> 00:11:39.089
Yep.
00:11:39.250 --> 00:11:46.209
So hopefully some things can be done in the interim so that it eases down, doesn't collapse.
00:11:46.449 --> 00:11:50.049
But I want to say the dog is steal, trying to steal the show.
00:11:50.129 --> 00:11:51.250
We can see him in the mirror.
00:11:51.969 --> 00:11:53.649
Oh, that's my that's my buddy.
00:11:53.730 --> 00:11:55.169
Uh uh, that's his dog.
00:11:55.250 --> 00:11:56.689
I'm using his place right now.
00:11:56.769 --> 00:12:04.049
So yeah, yeah, we can see him in the mirror on the door there trying to look at trying to steal the shot there.
00:12:05.169 --> 00:12:06.689
Theo's protecting me.
00:12:08.049 --> 00:12:10.769
He's got your six, apparently.
00:12:11.169 --> 00:12:14.449
All right, so give Theo a hug for us when we're done.
00:12:14.689 --> 00:12:15.089
You bet.
00:12:15.250 --> 00:12:15.809
You bet.
00:12:16.049 --> 00:12:18.289
Tell us about the goat within.
00:12:18.850 --> 00:12:20.289
What was the genes?
00:12:20.610 --> 00:12:22.769
Another Christian pun, right?
00:12:23.009 --> 00:12:25.009
The genesis of the book.
00:12:25.329 --> 00:12:26.370
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:12:26.689 --> 00:12:28.209
Uh, well, it's funny.
00:12:28.370 --> 00:12:32.929
Um, you know, for years, so I've been involved in sort of a long story.
00:12:33.089 --> 00:12:43.569
Let me give you the the just the quick background of how I ended up being an author of what now is a best-selling book now, unbeknownst to me at the time of writing it.
00:12:43.649 --> 00:12:46.049
It's the first book I ever wrote, but let me let me tell you how I got there.
00:12:46.370 --> 00:12:50.529
When I was young, sounds like a song when I was young, pretty tough upbringing.
00:12:50.850 --> 00:12:55.250
Pretty heavily abused, physically, beat up in the hospital from my dad.
00:12:55.569 --> 00:13:01.889
Um, both my older brother and me were, and my mom, unfortunately, really had some tough years.
00:13:02.129 --> 00:13:06.850
Uh in today's world, he'd he'd be he'd be straight, straight car ride to prison, right?
00:13:07.169 --> 00:13:14.850
But back in, you know, in the in the 70s, um, early 70s, you know, it was a different, you know, different era, all that sort of stuff.
00:13:15.009 --> 00:13:26.289
And uh so between the beatings, uh, between the black eyes and the you know, busted lips and all that stuff, um uh I was naturally good at athletics at a young age.
00:13:26.769 --> 00:13:29.009
And that became my safe place.
00:13:29.169 --> 00:13:30.850
That became my happy place.
00:13:31.329 --> 00:13:37.889
Uh I was obviously as a young kid, uh six, seven, eight years old, you know, a world of hurt.
00:13:37.969 --> 00:13:38.929
I didn't know what to think of it.
00:13:39.009 --> 00:13:42.370
I just know there were a lot of tears, a lot of crying, a lot of hurt.
00:13:42.689 --> 00:13:52.449
Um, so uh once I picked up a basketball or a baseball, man, I was good at it, and it felt like wow, people are actually cheering for me.
00:13:52.610 --> 00:13:59.409
You know, the the my my buddies uh parents are like, wow, you scored 40 points and you this and you so it felt great.
00:13:59.649 --> 00:14:04.449
And of course Yeah, positive attention that you weren't used to.
00:14:04.850 --> 00:14:12.449
Well, wasn't used to because I was I lived in fear, I lived in tears, you know, really worried to even say something wrong, right?
00:14:12.769 --> 00:14:18.049
So so that became something that all I wanted to do was play sports, obviously.
00:14:18.209 --> 00:14:24.929
And so it became a year-round thing for me, and I was good at the football, basketball, baseball, soccer, you name it.
00:14:25.089 --> 00:14:28.289
And so I was, you know, 364 days a year.
00:14:28.370 --> 00:14:29.569
That's all I wanted to do.
00:14:29.730 --> 00:14:36.689
And that progressed into you know, uh grade school and then junior high and then into the to the high school years.
00:14:36.929 --> 00:14:45.969
But um uh I got scouted by um uh a couple minor league uh baseball teams, the Pawsocks and all that sort of stuff.
00:14:46.129 --> 00:15:04.769
And it was right around when I was 17 years old that um um I had an okay game, and the you know, the scouts were at this game, and uh the beatings were still not as as as as uh uh frequent, but the mental stuff started to happen.
00:15:04.929 --> 00:15:10.370
Screaming, telling me I was a loser, telling me it just just awful stuff, right?
00:15:10.529 --> 00:15:28.289
And uh so one night uh coming home, you know, 11 o'clock at night, you know, uh I I just got the the absolute tongue-washing because the Red Sox uh, you know, uh minor league team, you know, they they cross you off the list because you didn't have a good game and you're awful, and all that stuff.
00:15:28.370 --> 00:15:29.409
Well, I lost it.
00:15:29.730 --> 00:15:32.929
I lost it in the car ride home from dad.
00:15:33.490 --> 00:15:40.610
And uh uh did some pretty unsavory things physically and um uh uh just exploded as a young man.
00:15:40.689 --> 00:15:41.649
I couldn't take it anymore.
00:15:41.730 --> 00:15:50.850
You know, watching my mom get beat up, all the bad stuff we've heard stories, and you know, I lived it, and I'm sure there's a lot of people that have had it worse than me in those situations, right?
00:15:51.009 --> 00:15:54.449
So uh that was the last time the guy ever laid hands on me.
00:15:54.689 --> 00:16:01.409
Um uh and I saw fear in his eyes because some of the things I told him I was gonna do to him if he ever touches me or my mother again.
00:16:01.889 --> 00:16:05.009
Well, that's usually what a bully needs, right?
00:16:05.169 --> 00:16:08.689
A bully remains a bully till he stood up to.
00:16:09.169 --> 00:16:23.889
And because a lot we don't know of at the time, but as we grow older, we I've had bullseye the clown on he became a clown out of bullying, and hence his name, bullseye.
00:16:24.209 --> 00:16:24.769
Bullseye, yeah.
00:16:25.009 --> 00:16:26.689
Yeah, yeah, you know, the bully.
00:16:26.850 --> 00:16:38.049
It's the in and I go into it to a degree in my the Book of Kennedy project Carpe Diem, Natasha who bullied Kennedy.
00:16:38.129 --> 00:16:49.089
And right, it's an insecurity in the person that causes them to lash out at others to deal with their low self-esteem.
00:16:49.409 --> 00:16:49.969
Right.
00:16:50.449 --> 00:16:50.850
Right.
00:16:51.569 --> 00:16:55.009
But you don't know that in that time and place.
00:16:55.329 --> 00:17:01.089
Yeah, at seven, eight, nine years old, you you can't think of you, you you don't have the smarts to think about that stuff.
00:17:01.250 --> 00:17:02.769
You can't cope with it, right?
00:17:02.850 --> 00:17:09.089
So by the time I was, you know, in my middle teens, I started, you know, okay, this is this isn't gonna happen anymore.
00:17:09.250 --> 00:17:13.889
Uh so um um, you know, to move on uh, you know, from that situation.
00:17:14.049 --> 00:17:29.969
So um um naturally in athletics, when you get to that age of your, you know, 14, 15, 16, certainly 17, you know, your performance um uh becomes more important to keep climbing the ladder in the athletic pyramid.
00:17:30.289 --> 00:17:36.449
So that meant training, working out, hitting the gym, all these different you know, things that we would do.
00:17:36.849 --> 00:17:44.449
So obviously I went in like 99.9% of uh kids that age, even today, they go do it incorrectly.
00:17:44.849 --> 00:17:53.250
So I started to work out, and really one of my motivations was I wanted to I wanted to physically dominate my father.
00:17:53.649 --> 00:17:57.969
And and and so it was coupled with wanting to be a better athlete, all that sort of stuff.
00:17:58.129 --> 00:18:48.480
So that went on, and uh I got scholarships into you know division three and division two colleges for basketball, right?
00:18:48.559 --> 00:19:02.960
And I kept my training going uh in the gym fitness-wise, but it wasn't until I was in my probably my late 20s that I yeah, oh I I I I gotta can't pass, but Strike Clee tells us white men can't jump, right?
00:19:04.079 --> 00:19:06.720
I can had to throw that in.
00:19:06.960 --> 00:19:08.960
Sorry, sorry, go on.
00:19:09.920 --> 00:19:15.039
He's right to a point, but you know, some of them can really jump, and I was one of them that could jump.
00:19:16.559 --> 00:19:17.680
That's funny.
00:19:17.920 --> 00:19:32.960
Um, so uh, you know, I was very serious about my health and and fitness, and you know, it felt good to be strong and all the things that I guess a young lot of young guys, you know, even in their 20s that you know, 30s, we want that, right?
00:19:33.200 --> 00:19:37.279
So um I was just a little bit hyper about it because it felt great.
00:19:37.599 --> 00:19:49.359
But I started to plateau, I couldn't really get anywhere with my training, and then I met an exercise scientist and told me I was doing everything incorrect.
00:19:49.519 --> 00:19:51.519
And I was like, what are you talking about, Lam?
00:19:51.680 --> 00:19:53.200
It's just going into the gym, it's just work.
00:19:53.759 --> 00:20:10.559
He sat me down, and in about two hours, I was speechless at the depth of science involved with fitness and and and uh working out and and all the things that society thinks fitness is and working out is.
00:20:11.119 --> 00:20:12.720
I I gotta tell you something, Joseph.
00:20:12.879 --> 00:20:17.599
It is the the most uh misunderstood thing under the sun.
00:20:18.159 --> 00:20:19.359
It really, really is.
00:20:19.519 --> 00:20:24.879
And so my trek went into exercise sciences, exercise kinesiology, some education.
00:20:25.119 --> 00:20:41.279
Uh I ended up working with some uh PhD guys, um uh really, really bright um um uh scientists, researchers, and I completely immersed myself into the science of fitness.
00:20:41.440 --> 00:20:53.599
Uh fitness doesn't mean just lifting weights, it really means uh nutritional sciences, uh cardiovascular sciences, and what I ended up really learning is rest and recovery.
00:20:54.079 --> 00:20:56.319
Those are big time components, right?
00:20:56.720 --> 00:20:59.440
So, so a lot of people wanted to work with me.
00:20:59.680 --> 00:21:01.759
You know, I've been doing this for 30 years, right?
00:21:02.000 --> 00:21:10.000
Uh so uh I started to work with people and and got pretty popular in terms of uh training people and working with people.
00:21:10.240 --> 00:21:26.879
Uh so what happened is I really started to understand you know what a brand really was and how you can connect with people to really really um address real real health issues people are having.
00:21:27.119 --> 00:21:30.319
And this is one of the uh reasons why I wrote the book.
00:21:30.720 --> 00:21:38.960
So uh Yeah, in your in your bio though, yeah, it says like translating all this into words was challenging.
00:21:39.680 --> 00:21:59.119
And it it's yeah, how do you turn all that, especially physical things, uh and working out, and are are there indeed illustrations and images in the book to help the words depict what needs to be done?
00:21:59.359 --> 00:22:02.319
Yeah, that's a that's an absolute fantastic question.
00:22:02.559 --> 00:22:10.960
And the answer is yes, there is, but it's even better because I I do have a few QR codes in the book, which which my publisher loved.
00:22:11.039 --> 00:22:13.039
He said, Man, that is such a great idea.
00:22:13.279 --> 00:22:24.319
So, you know, we go into it a little bit, but the the honest answer is it's such a massive body of work, you couldn't possibly write a book to to cover all that stuff, right?
00:22:24.399 --> 00:22:32.079
Yeah, so so the or it would be way too long, it'd be war in peace, it would cost too much, nobody could afford to buy it.
00:22:32.319 --> 00:22:36.240
So you do like I do, you include bonus material in the book.
00:22:36.319 --> 00:22:40.720
You said QR codes that'll take you to additional things online.
00:22:41.119 --> 00:22:43.119
I do that with all my books too.
00:22:43.200 --> 00:22:44.319
I provide links.
00:22:44.399 --> 00:22:51.200
I didn't think I'm a former IT guy and I'm not right with QR codes in my books.
00:22:51.440 --> 00:22:55.920
It's like, duh, yeah, I should I should be doing that, obviously.
00:22:56.079 --> 00:22:59.440
And now going forward, thanks to you, I will.
00:23:02.240 --> 00:23:11.359
It was pretty cool because my my pub publisher who's got really, really deep experience in the industry, he was like, wow, that really makes the book interactive.
00:23:11.599 --> 00:23:30.000
And I said it's exactly because my mission, my mission is really, really to get society to understand this stuff at a at a simpler level, yet executable, uh, something that they can really start to understand what it means.
00:23:30.319 --> 00:23:34.399
So um I really thought a lot about the name, the message.
00:23:34.639 --> 00:23:35.519
There's a lot to it.
00:23:35.680 --> 00:23:36.799
It really challenged me.
00:23:36.960 --> 00:23:41.599
It's just what I'm asking people to do in fitness and their health, right?
00:23:41.920 --> 00:23:45.279
Goat is obvious, people associate that with sports.
00:23:45.440 --> 00:23:50.799
And in fact, uh uh I don't know when this will air, but full disclosure, we're recording.
00:23:51.440 --> 00:23:53.519
In December of 2025.
00:23:53.839 --> 00:23:56.639
Some of this will probably air in 2026.
00:23:56.960 --> 00:24:02.000
I think out now or out soon, there's a movie called Goat or something like that.
00:24:02.960 --> 00:24:09.839
It's an animated thing about a goat that's too small but wants to play basketball or whatever.
00:24:10.159 --> 00:24:18.799
But back to the QR thing, I've at least finally got common enough to put QA codes on my business card.
00:24:19.440 --> 00:24:21.599
But I don't have them in my books yet.
00:24:21.759 --> 00:24:27.839
So but yeah, there's an animated movie coming out with a story.
00:24:27.920 --> 00:24:28.159
Yeah.
00:24:28.319 --> 00:24:32.559
So we all associate GOAT, of course, greatest of all three.
00:24:32.960 --> 00:24:33.920
Greatest of all time, right?
00:24:34.319 --> 00:24:41.200
Acronym there with sports-related things and hence my sheep joke at the beginning.
00:24:41.279 --> 00:24:41.920
Yeah.
00:24:43.440 --> 00:24:45.599
So so here's some here's some stuff.
00:24:45.680 --> 00:24:54.960
So so my website also, and we'll we'll get to that address here in a little bit, uh also has a lot of information on the website.
00:24:55.039 --> 00:24:57.599
So that obviously those links are in the book and all that.
00:24:57.759 --> 00:24:59.920
So people can kind of go on a little bit of a journey.
00:25:00.000 --> 00:25:01.680
They can take it as far as they want.
00:25:01.839 --> 00:25:04.399
Um, but here's the bottom line.
00:25:04.559 --> 00:25:13.680
Uh, you know, society, especially the US, um, is really there is an absolute tsunami that's growing bigger and bigger every year.
00:25:13.839 --> 00:25:22.319
People are really, really sick and nosediving into decay, especially people that are 45, 55, 65, 70.
00:25:22.480 --> 00:25:29.200
That's the age group where where people really start to lose their physicality.
00:25:29.440 --> 00:25:30.720
And there's a reason for that.
00:25:30.879 --> 00:25:32.559
And the book really covers about it.
00:25:32.639 --> 00:25:37.839
The book isn't all about working out, a third of it is about uh the toxic world we live in.
00:25:38.000 --> 00:25:40.159
And so I go into that for people.
00:25:40.480 --> 00:25:43.039
Um you that's the first thing I teach them.
00:25:43.200 --> 00:25:56.480
Listen, you have to understand that the the mass-produced food industry is loaded with toxins, toxins that literally take years to tear your body apart.
00:25:56.720 --> 00:25:59.200
It starts showing up in your 40s and 50s.
00:25:59.440 --> 00:26:02.480
We're resilient when we're you know 15, 20, 30 years old.
00:26:02.639 --> 00:26:02.799
Yeah.
00:26:03.200 --> 00:26:13.599
So this book and my whole brand, Life Strong, is geared to take 45 to 75-year-old men and women, and I build ecosystems for them.
00:26:14.000 --> 00:26:21.680
So, and I mean, like, you want to you want to turn the ship around and and add 10 years, 15 years to your life the right way.
00:26:21.920 --> 00:26:24.960
This is what we do for people, and we are busy.
00:26:25.200 --> 00:26:34.319
And yeah, I'm a former IT guy, the old saying, garbage in, garbage out, and this goes garbage in, create a garbage body.
00:26:34.399 --> 00:26:34.799
Yes.
00:26:35.039 --> 00:26:35.680
There you go.
00:26:35.759 --> 00:26:38.319
So, so this is a typical visit to the doctor.
00:26:38.399 --> 00:26:43.519
I train a lot of doctors, and it's not just in the US anymore, it's in Italy, Singapore.
00:26:44.000 --> 00:26:47.279
So I do a lot of online work where I customize stuff for people.
00:26:47.519 --> 00:26:57.920
I literally videotape custom workouts for them, narrate them, so they get this this this silver platter of stuff customized to them.
00:26:58.159 --> 00:27:03.279
And a lot of people that are executives and really, you know, really want they want answers.
00:27:03.440 --> 00:27:09.839
And I give it to them and we we really drill down and in and deliver them an incredible, incredible ecosystem.
00:27:09.920 --> 00:27:10.319
All right.
00:27:10.639 --> 00:27:12.960
So here's you, you go to the doctor, right?
00:27:13.119 --> 00:27:14.799
This is tip, this is so typical.
00:27:15.599 --> 00:27:19.920
And you look at the you know, three or four big markers that they always talk about, right?
00:27:20.240 --> 00:27:22.639
Diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure.
00:27:22.720 --> 00:27:24.559
You do all your checkups and all that stuff, right?
00:27:24.799 --> 00:27:27.440
And let's look at the stats on some of those things, right?
00:27:27.839 --> 00:27:36.960
So we know that high blood pressure adds about 20, maybe 25% increase to uh early early death, your your lifespan, right?
00:27:37.440 --> 00:27:41.279
Uh we have type 2 diabetes, which is all caused by food.
00:27:41.440 --> 00:27:43.759
All this stuff is all caused by toxic food, by the way.
00:27:44.000 --> 00:27:44.240
Right?
00:27:44.399 --> 00:27:51.599
Uh type 2 type two type 2 diabetes is around 30% increase in early early death, right?
00:27:51.839 --> 00:27:53.200
Dying young, right?
00:27:53.519 --> 00:27:57.359
You go to high blood pressure, it's about 30, maybe 34%.
00:27:58.240 --> 00:28:07.839
And so you tech check all your vitals and all that sort of stuff, and you know, uh, they'll either put you on pharmaceuticals, which please avoid them, everybody that's listening to me.
00:28:08.079 --> 00:28:10.960
It is a slippery slope, and it's not the answer.
00:28:11.039 --> 00:28:11.279
Okay.
00:28:11.680 --> 00:28:21.119
So smoking, if you're a smoker, you and this is all published in the you know, New England Journal of Medicine, Jama, all these publications, all the all these studies I'm talking about.
00:28:21.519 --> 00:28:25.839
Smoking, you have a 50% increase in your mortality.
00:28:26.000 --> 00:28:26.240
Okay?
00:28:26.799 --> 00:28:30.079
50% increase in higher risk of early death.
00:28:30.159 --> 00:28:33.440
All right, those are staggering, those are big numbers, so you have to manage them.
00:28:34.240 --> 00:28:36.319
But here's what they don't tell you, Joseph.
00:28:36.559 --> 00:28:39.839
Here's what they don't, and this is all published, these are all published studies.
00:28:40.079 --> 00:28:53.759
If your muscle and strength is in the bottom 20 to 25% of your age group, you have a 250% rate of early death.
00:28:54.799 --> 00:29:08.079
If your heart and lungs are in the bottom 20% of your age group, you have a 400% increase of early death.
00:29:08.480 --> 00:29:11.680
Think of those numbers compared to what everyone's scared about.
00:29:12.079 --> 00:29:28.000
This is why longevity and wellness are becoming a very, very strong thing right now, because people are starting to realize, listen, how how did how quick did these 50 or 60 or 70 years go by in a blink of an eye?
00:29:28.319 --> 00:29:35.039
So if somebody says, listen, you could add 10 years to your life, and there's really a formula to do that, right?
00:29:35.440 --> 00:29:36.960
Um, they listen.
00:29:37.200 --> 00:29:46.559
And once they start to understand there's a system in place that you can literally start to turn the ship around and start to add years to your life.
00:29:46.720 --> 00:29:48.480
And that's what we do at Life Strong.
00:29:48.559 --> 00:29:50.399
And that's why I wrote the book, The Goat Within.
00:29:50.480 --> 00:29:51.839
It's all about this stuff.
00:29:52.079 --> 00:29:55.599
And it's not a ghostwriter that wrote the book.
00:29:55.839 --> 00:29:59.519
I'm the guy on the floor that has worked with well over a thousand people.
00:29:59.839 --> 00:30:09.599
My sample size is so big in terms of how many men and women I've worked with and taught them a system that I've trademarked called the fitness quadrant.
00:30:09.920 --> 00:30:23.359
And it's four phases of fitness and how it applies to you if you want a strategy on really how to press back against longevity, you know, uh uh early death, right?
00:30:23.680 --> 00:30:27.759
You have to have a blueprint to do it.
00:30:27.920 --> 00:30:34.319
You just can't go to Planet Fitness for ten dollars a month, get on a treadmill a couple times a week, maybe, or at one point.
00:30:34.639 --> 00:30:35.759
Not that that hurts.
00:30:36.399 --> 00:30:37.519
No, it's not that it's bad.
00:30:37.599 --> 00:30:38.319
No, you're right.
00:30:38.559 --> 00:30:40.159
It's I don't want to minimize it.
00:30:40.799 --> 00:30:44.480
It's better than full disclosure.
00:30:44.720 --> 00:30:49.279
Better than me with my health issues sitting here on the couch far too much.
00:30:49.680 --> 00:30:52.399
I don't have a gym membership whatsoever.
00:30:52.960 --> 00:30:59.119
90-pound weakling practically well, 167-pound weakling, unfortunately.
00:30:59.359 --> 00:31:09.279
But yeah, uh I had taper heart surgery this year, so I'm finally at least now giving up and going for walks on occasion.
00:31:09.599 --> 00:31:19.680
So I get, but before with the heart issue, I couldn't do that, I couldn't make it down the block without having to stop and sit down.
00:31:20.000 --> 00:31:20.319
Right.
00:31:20.399 --> 00:31:29.039
So which Greek brings up a great point that I talk about in the book, and I talk about when I I'm starting to do public speaking gigs now for small companies.
00:31:29.200 --> 00:31:32.960
That's starting to you know really get to be an interesting thing.
00:31:33.119 --> 00:31:40.079
Emails I get from companies saying, hey, we we we'd like you to speak because you start talking about productivity, less sick days, all that stuff, right?
00:31:40.159 --> 00:31:43.920
Yeah, the sedimentary lifestyle of everybody, right?
00:31:44.000 --> 00:32:04.639
It it it uh it's a a benefit to not only the employee, but the employer, because yeah, as you're suggesting, them being healthier and in better shape, less sick days, less you know, more energy while at work and all that.
00:32:05.119 --> 00:32:09.279
It's the roots of your entire life, your health and vitality.
00:32:09.440 --> 00:32:10.159
It really is.
00:32:10.319 --> 00:32:11.920
Everything comes back to that.
00:32:12.159 --> 00:32:22.319
And the stronger, more healthy, more vibrant you are, you're a better spouse, you're a better parent, you're a better worker, you're a better business owner, you're better in your society.
00:32:22.399 --> 00:32:24.319
You you you add more to it.
00:32:24.639 --> 00:32:32.079
And I talk about that in my speeches where you know, fitness gets gets, you know, channeled into this little workout thing.
00:32:32.240 --> 00:32:33.599
It's much bigger than that.
00:32:33.759 --> 00:32:39.599
When you take a bigger view of it, you're you're talking about tectonic plates moving in your life.
00:32:39.920 --> 00:32:47.920
And the thing about it is there's an exact science on really how to do it properly, and there's an entry point for everybody.
00:32:48.159 --> 00:33:02.079
People that have never worked out before or never really focused on it, I love those type of people because uh they're the ones that want to do it, but they're intimidated, they don't want to go into a gym, maybe they're overweight, they're a little embarrassed.
00:33:02.240 --> 00:33:09.279
I love taking people like that because they're open and they know they have to make a move when they're 40, 50, 60 years old.
00:33:09.440 --> 00:33:11.039
Those are the decades, man.
00:33:11.200 --> 00:33:20.720
If you're not doing something, right around 72 years old is when it is really clear that's when people fall off a shelf.
00:33:21.039 --> 00:33:26.480
So I'm trying to get people to avoid that and make the right decisions, the right choices.
00:33:26.799 --> 00:33:32.960
You just can't eat right and expect to really add a lot of long longevity to your life.
00:33:33.039 --> 00:33:38.319
You'll add a little bit, you can't just do resistance training, right?
00:33:38.559 --> 00:33:41.279
Light workouts, you can't just do that.
00:33:41.519 --> 00:33:44.720
You can't just do cardiovascular work.
00:33:45.039 --> 00:33:53.119
This is a combination of four major phases of fitness, and each one of those components in my fitness quadrant, right?
00:33:53.359 --> 00:33:56.000
They have a big drop-down list of science underneath them.
00:33:56.159 --> 00:33:57.440
I do all that work.
00:33:57.759 --> 00:34:08.399
People just look at that quadrant and I tell them this is this is an easy plan how you can how you can enter into this little ecosystem I built for you, and then guess what happens?
00:34:08.719 --> 00:34:15.759
About eight to nine weeks in, they start to feel the effects like, wow, I'm sleeping better.
00:34:15.920 --> 00:34:18.559
I've lost seven pounds, I feel stronger.
00:34:18.719 --> 00:34:20.480
People are saying you look different.
00:34:20.719 --> 00:34:23.039
You know, then 12 to 18 weeks hits.
00:34:23.279 --> 00:34:30.719
Oh man, it that's when they hit a phase what I call in the book, and I call in in the real world with a lot of clients I work with.
00:34:30.879 --> 00:34:32.559
That is called fitness momentum.
00:34:32.799 --> 00:34:42.879
They've put those four pieces together the right way, the right diet, the right, you know, lifting some weights, the right cardio work, the right rest and recovery.
00:34:43.119 --> 00:34:47.039
That's when the synergy starts to really pull.
00:34:47.279 --> 00:34:50.239
And then we have other things that we can add to that.
00:34:50.480 --> 00:34:57.519
Um, people are talking about, I don't know if you've heard or seen anything, Joseph, on peptides, but they are.
00:34:57.760 --> 00:34:59.440
I'm certified level one.
00:34:59.519 --> 00:35:03.599
I'm getting my second uh certification in peptide therapy.
00:35:03.840 --> 00:35:05.680
We work with a peptide company.
00:35:05.920 --> 00:35:12.320
I'm telling you, anybody listening to this, it is going to wipe out the supplement companies.
00:35:12.720 --> 00:35:20.400
Supplements are, you know, they've been around forever and they they've really gone so far overboard with their promises and guarantees.
00:35:20.480 --> 00:35:22.720
And it's a multi-billion dollar industry.
00:35:22.800 --> 00:35:27.280
You're taking in a pill or a tablet or a drink, and a few of them are good.
00:35:27.519 --> 00:35:30.079
Most of them, they really don't do much.
00:35:30.559 --> 00:35:31.519
Snake oil.
00:35:31.680 --> 00:35:33.440
Yeah, most of them are snake oil.
00:35:33.760 --> 00:35:34.880
They really are, you know.
00:35:35.039 --> 00:35:41.920
So so peptides, oh, they they are messengers, they're naturally occurring in your body.
00:35:42.159 --> 00:35:45.840
We lose our ability to produce them as we get into our 40s and 50s.
00:35:46.079 --> 00:35:51.120
I'm telling you, we're doing a whole series on peptides uh on our website now.
00:35:51.200 --> 00:35:53.280
We're we're rebuilding that part of the website.
00:35:53.360 --> 00:35:59.520
Um, so by you know, by January, by the time people hear this, I beg you to go on and listen and learn.
00:35:59.760 --> 00:36:01.440
Education is number one you get.
00:36:01.680 --> 00:36:04.640
You have to have knowledge, and this is what we do for people.
00:36:04.800 --> 00:36:06.880
Uh, we do a lot of one-on-one work.
00:36:06.960 --> 00:36:08.960
Uh, we do a lot of husbands and wives.
00:36:09.120 --> 00:36:11.120
Um, we do a deep dive.
00:36:11.280 --> 00:36:13.600
And I I tell you, I'm blessed.
00:36:13.760 --> 00:36:27.760
Uh, I feel like uh God put me on the earth to do this, and it's a big turnaround for me getting beat up when I was five, six, seven years old to being 61 and now having a brand where I'm helping people, I'm not beating them up.
00:36:28.240 --> 00:36:28.800
Right?
00:36:29.840 --> 00:36:32.000
And it's full circle for me.
00:36:32.320 --> 00:36:41.520
Yeah, I go in in the terrorist, uh the terror strikes, the book of Kennedy Project Carpenium talking about bullying.
00:36:41.760 --> 00:36:49.600
You wouldn't, as bad as it is to look back on, you wouldn't be who you are and where you are today, though.
00:36:49.840 --> 00:36:52.320
Without it, you would be a different person.
00:36:52.560 --> 00:37:02.240
So I don't like to say there's a positive to it, but I think you understand what I without it, you would be a different person.
00:37:02.400 --> 00:37:10.080
So indeed, what is that website for people to look for more info and to reach out to you?
00:37:11.040 --> 00:37:12.640
You mentioned Life Strong.
00:37:12.960 --> 00:37:17.600
So I if I were a betting man, I would bet that might be the name of the site.
00:37:17.840 --> 00:37:18.160
It is.
00:37:18.240 --> 00:37:20.000
There's a couple ways to get to my site.
00:37:20.160 --> 00:37:21.680
Very good, Joseph.
00:37:22.400 --> 00:37:24.320
I I honestly didn't know that.
00:37:24.560 --> 00:37:32.480
No, it's just intuitively it's lifestong.net.
00:37:33.360 --> 00:37:33.760
Life net.
00:37:34.080 --> 00:37:34.240
Okay.
00:37:34.480 --> 00:37:36.240
And you'll see about the fitness quadrant.
00:37:36.320 --> 00:37:41.680
I've got some freebies in there, but there's a lot of information in there, and people can get in touch with me through there.
00:37:41.840 --> 00:37:46.000
Uh, and my whole mission is to really help people that that want to do this right.
00:37:46.160 --> 00:37:47.600
A lot of people don't want to do it right.
00:37:47.680 --> 00:37:49.280
They they sort of skip through it.
00:37:49.440 --> 00:37:54.080
And um Hey, we're all looking for cheats, we're all looking for hacks.
00:37:55.360 --> 00:38:11.360
I mentioned most supplements are snake oil, but with my health conditions and that it I can't show you, but there's a dozen pill bottles over there, there's another dozen so bottles of supplements over there.
00:38:11.680 --> 00:38:16.320
Yeah, so yeah, it's a it's it's a journey.
00:38:16.480 --> 00:38:18.480
Uh some supplements are good, right?
00:38:18.560 --> 00:38:22.800
So I have I have all that on my website here, some choices you may want to think about.
00:38:22.960 --> 00:38:24.400
Um uh I have that.
00:38:24.480 --> 00:38:26.880
I we set up home gyms for people.
00:38:27.040 --> 00:38:43.200
So I have a list very inexpensive to set up a little workout area, and we actually have videos for at-home workouts, real basic, and we can get real complex if we want to, but this this is the way we're reaching out and trying to get people engaged in their health and longevity.
00:38:43.520 --> 00:38:45.600
And um, it's been going very, very well.
00:38:45.760 --> 00:38:49.280
The the the the other thing is the book, go on to Amazon.
00:38:49.440 --> 00:38:51.440
If the spirit moves you, go on.
00:38:51.520 --> 00:38:55.280
It'll be the best$18 you ever spend and just read through it.
00:38:55.440 --> 00:39:03.840
I promise you, you're gonna get stuff out of this book that are gonna make you think, hmm, maybe I should start start doing a few things here.
00:39:04.000 --> 00:39:13.680
Maybe I can't handle it all at once, which is fine, but just to trigger people to think about it a little bit, um, uh I I think is is a key issue.
00:39:13.840 --> 00:39:15.040
Uh we don't bite.
00:39:15.120 --> 00:39:17.040
We we just love when people communicate with us.
00:39:17.120 --> 00:39:22.560
And of course, when we dive in to really write an ecosystem for people, we are all in for them.
00:39:22.720 --> 00:39:29.520
We want them to succeed and really change their change their trajectory of their life.
00:39:29.600 --> 00:39:36.480
And I ask everybody, once you're with me in we're doing these this training, please share it with your loved ones.
00:39:36.640 --> 00:39:41.840
Share it with your kids, your spouse, get them engaged, pass on, you know, pass on the light.
00:39:42.080 --> 00:39:55.440
Uh uh now I will tell you um uh with your podcast, Joseph, one of the reasons I was was uh uh really interested to connect with you is my entire life uh on top of the abuse and all that stuff.
00:39:55.520 --> 00:40:01.440
I always got told that you know church was was was evil and it was bad and it's all this bad.
00:40:01.600 --> 00:40:09.120
So I grew up thinking, ah, what is that stay away from those those Bible thumpers and the bit do all the stuff, right?
00:40:09.520 --> 00:40:10.720
Well, let me tell you something.
00:40:10.880 --> 00:40:18.560
Uh I got baptized four years ago, and um uh I am uh uh a full-on Christian.
00:40:18.720 --> 00:40:25.600
Uh I absolutely am amazed at how comforting it is.
00:40:25.840 --> 00:40:30.000
Oh, you're talking physical health is part of better mental health.
00:40:30.240 --> 00:40:30.480
Absolutely.
00:40:31.760 --> 00:40:52.880
And I was gonna close out with a joke, and since we're talking mental health now, and yeah, uh uh faith being a good strong part of that, and thank you, Timothy, straight from the mental ward for coming in for the benefit of the transcript.
00:40:53.040 --> 00:40:54.800
He's laughing at the joke.
00:40:54.880 --> 00:40:56.400
We're laughing, right?
00:40:56.640 --> 00:41:06.240
The book is the goat within, the site is lifestrong.net, Timothy Ward, and guest appearance by Theo the Dog.
00:41:08.000 --> 00:41:08.720
That's right.
00:41:08.880 --> 00:41:10.960
I'll say hi to Theo for everyone.
00:41:11.680 --> 00:41:12.240
Thank you.
00:41:12.400 --> 00:41:12.960
Take care.
00:41:13.200 --> 00:41:13.840
God bless.
00:41:14.000 --> 00:41:14.560
You bet.
00:41:14.640 --> 00:41:15.280
Thank you, Joseph.
00:41:15.360 --> 00:41:15.840
God bless you.
00:41:15.920 --> 00:41:16.880
Bye-bye.
00:41:21.440 --> 00:41:26.640
As a family friend, I cannot wait to meet thee.
00:41:27.840 --> 00:41:29.440
I feel already know you.
00:41:35.360 --> 00:41:38.000
Watch the calendar turn.
00:41:38.640 --> 00:41:44.560
Now a brand new heartbeat has made their whole world turn.
00:41:45.200 --> 00:41:50.720
Little hands and tiny feet, a gift straight from above.
00:41:51.840 --> 00:41:57.040
God already knew you formed you in his love.
00:41:58.400 --> 00:42:03.840
We anxiously awaited little ones so deep.
00:42:05.200 --> 00:42:12.400
Blessing in the backyard, you're the drawing off.
00:43:10.240 --> 00:43:18.880
How to love and how to get how to stand up all good, even when life makes you bend.
00:43:20.640 --> 00:43:24.800
Rooted deep in the faith, in the values they hold.
00:43:26.720 --> 00:43:28.400
Every hug, every lip.
00:43:29.040 --> 00:43:33.760
Point your heart told what it's good so good.
00:43:39.920 --> 00:43:49.440
From the wall to take the following to the wall still yet to be the game of lucky falling.
00:45:51.920 --> 00:45:53.680
Can you spare some time?
00:45:54.960 --> 00:45:57.360
Fast-paced hectic days.
00:45:57.680 --> 00:46:00.320
Need return to simpler ways.
00:46:00.640 --> 00:46:02.960
Get it quick, need slow it down.
00:46:03.520 --> 00:46:06.160
We lost and need be refound.
00:46:06.400 --> 00:46:08.320
Can we turn it around?
00:46:12.160 --> 00:46:15.440
We went from red lines to deadlines.
00:46:15.680 --> 00:46:18.080
From brother, can you spare a dime?
00:46:18.720 --> 00:46:22.400
To brother, can you spare some time?
00:46:25.040 --> 00:46:29.280
Get it quick, need to slow it down.
00:46:30.880 --> 00:46:40.720
All this gold can't buy solid ground, fast-paced hearts skipping every sign.
00:46:41.040 --> 00:46:42.960
We're losing ground.
00:46:44.720 --> 00:46:48.320
Brother, can you spare some time?
00:46:53.600 --> 00:46:56.000
Scream below midnight.
00:46:56.720 --> 00:47:02.720
I still wire chasing every little fire.
00:47:03.840 --> 00:47:11.760
But the hot chocolates gone cold, the kids outgrown, and we missed it.
00:47:12.080 --> 00:47:21.280
Scrolling on our phone, get it quick, need to slow it down.
00:47:22.720 --> 00:47:27.280
All this gold can't buy solid ground.
00:47:28.320 --> 00:47:32.560
Fast-paced hearts skipping every sign.
00:47:32.880 --> 00:47:34.960
We're losing ground.
00:47:36.560 --> 00:47:40.080
Brother, can you spare some time?
00:47:41.920 --> 00:47:45.280
Maybe trade is a rush for a walk round the block.
00:47:45.520 --> 00:47:48.960
Talk like we use to talk.
00:47:50.560 --> 00:47:54.560
Hey, count and bless.
00:48:03.280 --> 00:48:04.640
Get it quick.
00:48:06.320 --> 00:48:07.600
Slow it down.
00:48:09.200 --> 00:48:13.760
All this gold can play solid ground.
00:48:15.040 --> 00:48:19.120
Fast based hearts get in every sign.
00:48:19.520 --> 00:48:26.640
We're losing time.
00:48:46.960 --> 00:48:54.640
We break, we mend, we got moves, we got ranges, quick flips, strange rearrangements.
00:48:55.200 --> 00:48:57.280
Season shifting in our skin.
00:48:57.600 --> 00:48:59.760
Quiet storms behind a grin.
00:48:59.920 --> 00:49:02.000
One word whole day changes.
00:49:02.240 --> 00:49:04.560
Heart rewrites its own pages.
00:49:04.800 --> 00:49:07.440
We're just complex beings, that's what we are.
00:49:07.680 --> 00:49:10.080
Puzzle piece, hearts, little bite-sized scars.
00:49:10.160 --> 00:49:13.280
We got ups, we got downs, till we stick around on a dime.
00:49:13.360 --> 00:49:15.120
We can turn and turn it all around.
00:49:15.440 --> 00:49:17.760
Complex beings, tangled and true.
00:49:17.920 --> 00:49:19.600
Half of me running, half running.
00:49:19.760 --> 00:49:21.120
Do you complicate it?
00:49:21.280 --> 00:49:24.160
Yeah, the book spells out the reasons.
00:49:25.200 --> 00:49:29.280
But I love you through the chapters and the season.
00:49:32.400 --> 00:49:37.360
You're a sunrise, you're a shutdown, you're a soft laugh in a letdown.
00:49:37.440 --> 00:49:39.360
You go quiet and you're singin'.
00:49:39.600 --> 00:49:42.880
Every mood, every shade still clingin'.
00:49:43.200 --> 00:49:44.960
I'm a question in your doorway.
00:49:45.680 --> 00:49:47.680
You're an answer said the long way.
00:49:47.840 --> 00:49:53.280
Both hands full of tiny trees, and still we stay, still we stay through the reasons.
00:49:53.440 --> 00:49:56.080
We're just complex beings, that's what we are.
00:49:56.320 --> 00:49:58.720
Puzzle piece, hearts, little bites, size scars.
00:49:58.800 --> 00:50:01.920
We got ups, we got downs, still we stick around on a dime.
00:50:02.000 --> 00:50:03.840
We can turn it, turn it all around.
00:50:04.160 --> 00:50:06.400
Complex beings, tangled and true.
00:50:06.560 --> 00:50:08.880
Half of me running, half running to you.
00:50:08.960 --> 00:50:09.600
Complicated.
00:50:09.920 --> 00:50:12.800
Yeah, the book spells out the reasons.
00:50:13.840 --> 00:50:18.000
But I love you through the chapters and the seasons.
00:50:21.440 --> 00:50:22.640
Complex beings.
00:50:23.040 --> 00:50:28.560
We have moods, we have arranges, seasons and changes.
00:50:30.560 --> 00:50:34.960
We have ups and downs on a dime can turn it around.
00:50:35.280 --> 00:50:41.040
Complicated the book spells out some of the reasons.
00:50:44.560 --> 00:50:54.880
Complex beings, we got moods, we got ranges, little storms and I teacups, whole climates, seasons and changes.
00:50:55.040 --> 00:50:57.760
We go quiet, we go wild, we go tender, then tough.
00:50:57.920 --> 00:51:04.000
One word, one look, one moment can be a wake to merge.
00:51:04.640 --> 00:51:10.080
We're just complex BS, breathing, tryna make some meeting.
00:51:10.480 --> 00:51:14.880
From all these turns and twists inside, we fall apart, then realign.
00:51:15.040 --> 00:51:20.400
We're just complex BS, reaching hearts, cracking open, healing.
00:51:20.800 --> 00:51:24.640
We got ups and downs on a dime, can turn it around.
00:51:24.960 --> 00:51:28.640
Oh, some days I'm the hero, some days I'm the doubt.
00:51:28.720 --> 00:51:31.600
I'm the riddle and the rumor, and I'm still working it out.
00:51:31.840 --> 00:51:35.760
Complicated like the book spells out some of the reasons.
00:51:36.240 --> 00:51:41.440
Every chapter, every scar, every quiet little treason.
00:51:42.400 --> 00:51:52.320
So if I change in the middle of a sentence, if I laugh when I'm breaking down, that's just all my different versions showing up at once right now.
00:51:52.480 --> 00:52:09.200
Hey, we're just complex beings, breathing, tryna make some meeting from all these turns and twists and we fall apart.
00:52:10.400 --> 00:52:17.920
Then realize we're just complex being reaching up, cracking open here.
