00:00:05
Speaker 1: Hi, Hello, welcome back to Cardinal Territory.
00:00:07
Speaker 2: I'm your host Kwu here with a special guest interview episode. These two need no introduction, but I'm going to give them anyway. Cardinals fans know them, love them. Cardinals coaches Daniel discussA and John Jay joined the show. Guys, welcome to Cardinal Territory.
00:00:21
Speaker 3: Thanks for doing this finally, time you had us on.
00:00:25
Speaker 1: Well, sorry, you're so popular, You're just in such high demand.
00:00:28
Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean this was supposed to happen on like February.
00:00:31
Speaker 1: Okay, look better late than never.
00:00:34
Speaker 2: And when Cardinals fans watch this episode, it will be the final day of what has been a week long road trip to Seattle and Milwaukee. Yeah, it's a it's a weird time for Cardinals baseball. We'll touch on the We'll touch on the news. First of the series, Mason win went ahead and called it a season with a left nope, right meniscus tear that he was trying to play through. He was scratched on Tuesday's game against the Mariners, was not able to play even an off day on Thursday, so manager Ali Marmle made the decision to end mason season.
00:01:07
Speaker 1: Guys, We'll start with you, Scales.
00:01:08
Speaker 2: What did you see from Mason Win this year that really impressed you from just an overall player standpoint.
00:01:14
Speaker 5: I mean you talk about what jumps off the page first is is his defense. Obviously, the guy has been as rock solid as they come out there at shortstop, you know, a very demanding position. He gets to a lot of balls, has the great arm, He puts a lot of work into it. You could tell as the season war on it just the knee just became too much for him. He tried to post as as best he could, and I give him a lot of credit for running out there not at one hundred percent. He knows that him at eighty percent is so maybe our best option at shortstop.
00:01:48
Speaker 3: So he took a lot of strids forward defensively this year.
00:01:51
Speaker 5: You know, he brings he brings energy to that position, brings energy to our lineup, and you know we're gonna miss having him for the last couple of weeks.
00:02:00
Speaker 4: Yeah, Mason's been great, and I think you know Daniel hit on it where you know he played out He played out there at eighty percent and we saw what he was doing out there. So I'm looking forward to seeing a healthy Mason win next year, and I think you know, you can continue to grow, right. You know, in our experiences, every year you get a little bit better and you start realizing things. And I think this was a big year for him and we saw it right. He put in the work on defense and he saw the results, and I feel like he's going to do out the rest of his game and I'm excited to see Mason win next year.
00:02:28
Speaker 6: Play.
00:02:29
Speaker 2: This is such a unique time for this Cardinals organization and you guys obviously started your careers in Saint Louis at a time where the Saint Louis Cardinals were at a peak and right now we're looking at what is likely going to be a rebuild. I mean, we were almost through this transition year and the whole premise of this season was to find players or identify players that could be a part of this future, and there were so many different options coming into the year.
00:02:53
Speaker 1: JJ.
00:02:53
Speaker 2: For you, I mean, you've spent a ton of time making this out feel better, working with different guys. Is there anyone that you feel like took advantage of this season from a coach perspective that you're excited about going into twenty twenty six.
00:03:05
Speaker 6: I think there's a few different guys.
00:03:06
Speaker 4: I mean, you know, Alec Burrowson started the year off as the first baseman they're with really a lot of paying time for him, and then you've we've seen what he's been able to do and he's improved on the outfield and it's all testament to him. Early in the year, when he wasn't getting the reps that you know, he could have been getting, he was out there, you know, putting the work in during banding practice behind the scenes, and then it really paid off for him. So I think, you know, he made a lot of big strides and I'm happy for him with the year he's had.
00:03:30
Speaker 1: Sky's what about you.
00:03:33
Speaker 3: I think Burley has done a great job.
00:03:35
Speaker 5: You know, he was a guy that we told we told him, hey, you be ready to come play first year, and you know, he didn't have a lot of opportunities early and he fought his way into the lineup. I think Yvon Herrera taking the next step forward as a hitter. He's battled some injuries, but when he's been in the lineup, like he's an impact bat for us. A young guy that's that's learning how to how to be a middle of the order hitter for us. So it's nice to see those guys take those steps and really try to and establish themselves as as solid major league performers, because it's it's a hard gig these guys have. You know, they're balancing establishing themselves, you know, personally, to try and set set themselves up for the future, while also being a part of, you know, trying to learn what it is to be a winning player. So I give those guys a lot of credit for taking steps forward this year.
00:04:21
Speaker 2: And when you think about just what the organization was trying to accomplish this year, I mean, we have oh two weeks left of the regular season, definitely enough time to look at a bunch of different players and say, Okay, this season was a success in this regard, here's where this player needs to take steps forward to coming next year. When you look at this core of twenty twenty six, and granted some of it might change with the new front office, where do you feel like this this team could be with the players currently on the roster coming into next year.
00:04:49
Speaker 5: So you know, I think we start this see here as like you know, call it runway, call it whatever you want. I don't think we really knew what to expect. I people would ask me the off season, and I would I'm really not sure what kind of team we're going to be this year, Like we might be good and we might be really bad, and we've been somewhere in the middle. I think maybe we outperformed expectations for a little while and have underperformed lately. But I think you see, you've seen some of these guys get that necessity experience uh JJ and I talked about all the time. It takes hundreds of a bat's one hundreds of played appearances years in the big leagues before you really understand what type of player you are, what you do well, what you don't do well, how the league is trying to attack you, and it's just a game of adjustments. The league, the league adjust to you to find how to get you out. Then you have to adjust back, and that continues for your whole career. I think some of these guys are learning what it takes to do that and and that's what it takes to stick around in this game for a long time.
00:05:58
Speaker 3: Yeah.
00:05:58
Speaker 4: I think the prime example is, you know, you see a guy like bitter Scott, we talked about taking strides, and we've seen what he's done on defense and base running wise and offense. Like like Daniel said, you know, it takes play appearance, it takes that experience. So you know, I expect him to go into the off season and you know, make some adjustments. But he's been great on the way he's handled the you know, kind of the mental side of it, which is probably the hardest part about this game. Rights, It's a game of failure and it's you know, how are you going to respond to two adversity? So I think these guys have been through a lot of adversity this year, you know, personally as a team, and I'm looking forward to seeing them, you know, how they build off the season.
00:06:34
Speaker 3: I mean, you.
00:06:34
Speaker 2: Guys know all about that, just based on your careers, both as players and now as coaches, And I think that's something that Cardinals fans like. Obviously they know you wherever wherever Scalzo was, Jay's right there. You guys are very much a packaged deal, and it's been that way throughout your entire career as you both manage or not managed a coach for the Cardinals. This season together, what has been the best part of doing.
00:06:56
Speaker 5: That, I think just showing up to work every day with one of your best friends and trying to pass along any information, any wisdom, any experience to the to these players going forward, Like we don't have all the answers, but we've seen a lot of baseball. We've seen a lot of winning baseball, been a part of winning teams. And the only one I took this job, and I think I can speak for for Jay as well, is is to be a part of a winning team. And so no matter what the expectations are, we're you know, what our record is, we are trying to impart you know, winning habits on these guys, and I think we just we just can't help but look at the gate like that. And so we talk a lot about what we saw in the game that night, what we might see moving forward, a lot about our experiences, and just to have someone you trust, someone that you've gone gone through these ups and downs with in the coaches room with you is just, Uh, it's been a lot of fun, you know, through the ups and end of down.
00:07:55
Speaker 3: Like we we just have a good time together.
00:07:58
Speaker 6: Yeah, it's been fun and talk all the ups and downs.
00:08:00
Speaker 4: And I think that's been cool where we live moments that happened in our career right, whether positive or negatively, to help this group of guys now. So you know, there might be mistakes that we made in the past and we can you know, we'll come back home and like, hey, remember when you did this, only I did this or that, and then you know, how can we portray that story the next day to help these guys. So it's been a ton of fun being able to show up to work every day with your best friend and for me personally, just to see Daniel you obviously in his role as a bench coach and you know, being the manager's right hand man. So you know, I get to see that every single day and it's pretty cool to see him in this position and to see him leading, and you know the impact that he's had on all these guys.
00:08:34
Speaker 6: It's pretty cool.
00:08:35
Speaker 2: It is definitely pretty cool, I mean, just from an immediate perspective to see how the coaching staff has really had to change in terms of expectations for the organization.
00:08:44
Speaker 1: You guys know this.
00:08:45
Speaker 2: The Cardinals were always you know, it wasn't just B five hundred or make the wild card. It was establish yourself in the NAL Central at the minimum and make these deep postseason runs, and you guys came to an era where you were able to do that. The Cardinals right now are working to get there. But right now the evaluation and the coaching is more about developing at the major leagues. Was that difficult for either of you to really kind of have to make those changes because those that's not who we were as players.
00:09:13
Speaker 3: Yeah, I think, you know, I think, go ahead, j D.
00:09:16
Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I think for me personally, you know, I spent two years over in Miami and kind of saw the impact you can have as a coach. Right the first year we took over the brand new staff and we were able to make a playoff run, which is pretty cool. So, you know, having those experiences from the past have helped me now to become in this stage over now. But it doesn't change for me. Every single day, I'm trying to win a ball game. I'm trying to help guys, you.
00:09:39
Speaker 6: Know, develop their game.
00:09:41
Speaker 4: So you know, my mindset hasn't changed it all. The way I approached the game doesn't change it all. I think that's something I did as a player, right whether I was starting or off the bench. Whatever it was, I was trying to find a way to help the team win. And that's what I try to do every single day.
00:09:53
Speaker 6: Now.
00:09:55
Speaker 5: I think industry wide, you're seeing more teaching and coaching at the major league level then we first came up. You know, guys get to the big leagues quickly, and they may miss some stuff along the way in the minor leagues, and that's our job, appear to make sure that if we see something that you know isn't up to par, or that we don't like that, or that we do like that, we reinforce it and we have those conversations over again, even if the players don't want to hear it right. We have to teach and we have to coach, and it's our job to make sure that those those legs are learned and those messages land, and we will get to a point.
00:10:32
Speaker 3: We'll get back to a.
00:10:33
Speaker 5: Point where the Cardinals are in the conversation in central every year, and it starts in the minor leagues and being aligned from a ball all the way up to the to the major league level, and so when we get up there, we're on the same page and we can just hit the ground running.
00:10:50

00:12:00
Speaker 3: I was total pro, very pro.
00:12:03
Speaker 1: Thank you very much. Well, you guys have some fun events coming up.
00:12:07
Speaker 2: Specifically, Jay, the third annual J Family Foundation Golf and Games event is Wednesday, September seventeenth. This is something that I believe you started when you were in Saint Louis previously, and this is the grand return.
00:12:21
Speaker 4: Correct this event we started a couple of years ago, so it's gonna be a third one. But you know we've done previous events in Saint Louis with the Make a Wish Foundation and also with the Boys and Girls Club, having both in events.
00:12:32
Speaker 6: But yeah, this year is super fun.
00:12:33
Speaker 4: Daniel's my co host, which is it's always great to be able to do something together for the community. But it's over at Family Golf that is owned by Adam Betts, who's a good friend of ours. As well, he's another co host, And yeah, it's going to benefit the Jay Family Foundation as long as well as the PGA Reach, Gateway Foundation and the Boys and Girls Club of Saint Louis.
00:12:53
Speaker 2: So for those of you who aren't familiar or who might not know much about the Jay Family Foundation, what's the premise of your organization and why did you partner and choose at this event.
00:13:01
Speaker 4: Yeah, our foundation, you know, we really in some of our pillars is youth, community and scholarship. So really we're just trying to, you know, help the youth out any way we can. You know, we were able to send kids to baseball camps, We're able to send kids after school programs back in Miami, you know, provide them with equipment for baseball or for school. So we kind of, you know, help out wherever we can. And in Saint Louis, it's been great to get involved the community there. And PGA Reach is somebody that we partner with and they're actually building a pretty cool youth community center over at the Boys and Girls Club, So some of these funds are going to be raised towards towards that project, which is pretty cool. And I also do during the holidays. We do a skateboard giveaway over at the Boys and Girls Club as well. So, you know, Saint Louis is you know, everyone knows I love Miami and from Miami and all that, but Saint Louis is my second home. And you know, I'm always proud to say that.
00:13:50
Speaker 2: Scout's how excited are you to partner with jam and you guys do everything together. But I mean, let's let's add some context here. Golf is a relatively new hobby for Jay. You're I don't want to say this, but you are kind of good at golf. We'll talk about it, we'll talk about your performance, but first, what's it like to partner with him and just kind of have you know, another event that you guys can do together.
00:14:11
Speaker 5: Yeah, you know, he's his work in the charitable space is inspired and so when he asked me to if I want to partner with him, of course the answer was yes.
00:14:20
Speaker 3: And to watch what he's done over the years through his events.
00:14:23
Speaker 5: And the impact he's been able to have on the community, I'm happy to be a part of it. It's it's a fun event we've done. I've been there a couple of times now, Uh, fan golf and the Family Golf Centers is awesome space.
00:14:35
Speaker 3: We have a good time. There'll be a long drive contest.
00:14:38
Speaker 5: I think they'll be a close to the pin contest, and if I'm mistaken, the winner of the close to the pin contest will square off against me in the finals.
00:14:45
Speaker 3: So that'll be an extra little bonus treat.
00:14:49
Speaker 1: So you just you just ask that yourself to the finals, no matter what.
00:14:54
Speaker 3: Did yet?
00:14:55
Speaker 5: No, they just that's their their prize for winning and they get to play against me in the finals.
00:14:59
Speaker 1: So what are you going to do when I beat you in the finals? How are you going to react to that?
00:15:04
Speaker 3: I don't I don't know if I'll be able to show my face anywhere in Saint Louis if that happens.
00:15:09
Speaker 1: I can't wait. We're talking to woman's long drive champion of the Cardinals.
00:15:13
Speaker 3: Cardinals Charcas, that is I forgot? And what did you win? Again?
00:15:17
Speaker 1: A golf bag?
00:15:18
Speaker 3: Nice good price?
00:15:20
Speaker 1: Yeah, well went to my dad. So I'm terrible to you guys.
00:15:24
Speaker 6: I came top three, you know, I was the third place finish.
00:15:26
Speaker 1: So for what pool?
00:15:29
Speaker 6: The best pool there was? I'm not sure.
00:15:31
Speaker 2: I think it was the second I could be wrong, but I think it was the second pool his team.
00:15:37
Speaker 5: His team did finish third in the beef, so he did come up. He came up with something, what did you win?
00:15:44
Speaker 6: I want a club, believe a putter?
00:15:47
Speaker 4: Oh yeah, and I also am probably say that we used my ball about eight times in the tournament.
00:15:52
Speaker 3: So nice, nice? I contributed, Yeah, I.
00:15:56
Speaker 1: Said one time on the course day.
00:15:58
Speaker 2: But but when you saw me whose drive was my group using yours?
00:16:02
Speaker 6: I was very impressed. I couldn't believe it. Honestly, I was shocked.
00:16:05
Speaker 2: Oh okay, well, I'm looking forward to it. It sounds like it should be a really fun event. How how we fare at closest to the pin? I don't know, Scout's a lot of pressure on you. But for details who anyone who'd like to donate or find out more about this event, you can visit the Jfamilyfoundation dot com. Do you guys have anything else coming up in our final home stand? That makes me a little sad. Actually we just have six home games left. What Scouts that will start with you? What do you want to see from this team as they close out what they have at home?
00:16:36
Speaker 5: I just want to see the see us like push to the finish. You know, we technically we're still in it. We're going to need to have some help, you know, square from a couple of teams, but the finish lines inside, like, I just want to see these guys compete all the way to the end. There's there's guys that are competing for jobs next year, and we've we've talked about opportunity in that clubhouse, and there's always there's always opportunit using this game, whether you're showcasing yourself for our new front office and for a role next year, or there's other teams out there that they may trade for guys.
00:17:09
Speaker 3: So just for us to compete, grind out through the finish.
00:17:13
Speaker 5: It's not easy when you're on the outside looking in of a playoff race, but we just want these guys to finish strong and heading the off season a positive note.
00:17:21
Speaker 4: I think the word that resonates is compete, right, just go out there and compete, you know, finish, Don't worry about the record, don't warn about the standings, to just go out there, finish and compete and continue to build towards the future, which is next year. And so I'm looking forward to seeing these guys compete with the routines and just with what they do every day.
00:17:37
Speaker 2: When you're looking at this team, and I think we by the time this episode drops, we'll have a lucky number thirteen games remaining. What's going to be important for this young core to take away from this season because this is most likely going to be not maybe the exact same roster, but a very similar roster next year in terms of players that are going to be under team control, the core that the Cardinals like to establish, it's going to be these guys are essentially responsible for creating the culture and the team that you guys once did. What's going to be the biggest lesson they take away from this year?
00:18:09
Speaker 5: I think it's going to be ownership over that clubhouse. There are a few guys in that clubhouse that are that have had three four years of service now and they're kind of coming into that that phase of their career where they're the they can be the bridge guys between the veterans and the young players, and and we'd really like to see, uh, some of those guys step up and take ownership. There's times where, uh, you're waiting for a player to say something in the meeting and and nobody does. And these guys are getting to that level where they have experience in the bis now and they've seen, you know, hundreds of games and been a part of you know, big spots and stuff, and and I like to see them, you know, take some ownership of the direction of this franchise, because ultimately, it doesn't matter what Olie says, what what the coaching staff says, what upstairs says. It comes down to the players on the field, and they have to make a decision with direction. They're they're going to take this thing. So I'd like to see that that ownership take place and those guys rise to the and take that step.
00:19:09
Speaker 4: Yeah, taking ownership of the season, right, you know, looking at it and saying what do I need to do to improve?
00:19:15
Speaker 6: What did I do good? What did I do bad? And having an.
00:19:18
Speaker 3: Honest assessment of the season and moving forward. Right.
00:19:21
Speaker 4: Like we said earlier, this game is not easy. It's hard, and it takes a lot of experience to get to the point you want to get to. So, you know, my thing for them is, hey, look at yourself in the mirror. What can you improve on and how are you going to improve on that? And let's attack that and let's get ready.
00:19:33
Speaker 3: For next year.
00:19:34
Speaker 2: All right, we got one more message from our friends at Arena Club featuring as I'm looking at the video and ad read from AJ Prazinski, who was a late scratched from today's show. So foul Territory subscribers, make sure that we give AJ a lot of crap on his next episode, because this was supposed to be a collaborative effort.
00:19:51
Speaker 1: But late scratch not a gamer.
00:19:53
Speaker 5: I mean, AJ normally posts, so I am shocked that he didn't post. Shocked and disappointed.
00:20:00
Speaker 6: Correct, I'm disappointed. Well that's the new word I'll.
00:20:02
Speaker 2: Use, Aj, We're disappointed in you. Let's hear from We're gonna Club and we'll end. Uh what we're done.
00:20:09
Speaker 8: Time time for your weekly Arena Club segment where we see what AJ pulls from a slab pack and here we go, pull a little Emerald pack this week. AJ looking for something big.
00:20:24
Speaker 3: Always, I'm always looking for the big thing. Next.
00:20:26
Speaker 8: Big things, got big money, big money, baby. We've got a Dave Winfield card from nineteen seventy four to seventy four tops card from this Emerald pack. Estimated value three hundred bucks. You could sell it back for two seventy sod So I feel like you are into more of the current players. Would that be accurate?
00:20:48
Speaker 5: Like legend in my showroom, I have a Robin you out, I have a Griffy rookie card.
00:20:51
Speaker 3: Think that's true? So I mean I have some older vintage players Bob Gibson.
00:20:55
Speaker 6: Oh yeah, you have Gibson.
00:20:56
Speaker 5: So I know I disagree Scott, But Dave Winfield for that mount of money back, I'm reselling it.
00:21:02
Speaker 8: And if you want to get your own pack or new card, you can get twenty percent off your first slab pack or card purchase at arenaclub dot com slash foul.
00:21:12
Speaker 1: All right, do you guys want to end on a sentimental note?
00:21:16
Speaker 6: Sure?
00:21:16
Speaker 1: Do we have a choice, No, you don't.
00:21:20
Speaker 2: You guys have done almost every single chapter of your career as whether they were as rookies, the later parts of your careers, and now as you start your coaching careers, it's you've been a tandem and that kind of bond is rare, especially in baseball. But when I like to call this my trauma bond with my fellow beat writers, when you go through a multiple seasons over and over and it's two hundred games, you're away from your family most of the time, the people you surround yourself with really do become family, and it really does matter. As you are both watching Jjb'll start with you when you watch Scouse start his coaching career and what he's learned as a bench coach, and now that you guys are together, what's his strength? What are you proud of when you see him in his everyday routine.
00:22:02
Speaker 4: I think one of the biggest thing is is he's even cut right He doesn't. He doesn't he doesn't have a reaction right away to things. You know, he takes the emotion out of it. And I think that calming presence is something.
00:22:11
Speaker 6: That I look towards a lot of times.
00:22:13
Speaker 4: Right things are going on during the game, things targetting fast and I can kind of look at him and he's calm. So I think that's one of the biggest traits that he has, that he's calm and he's cool and under control, and it's something that I know I'm a little bit different with that, So I always admire his ability to really, you know, be in the moment and not be emotional, which is something that's pretty cool.
00:22:35
Speaker 1: Scoleston.
00:22:36
Speaker 2: You see Jay I mean, he had two years in Miami under mutual friend of the podcast skipt Schumacher, and now you see him in a different role with a different organization that means so much to you, guys.
00:22:47
Speaker 1: What do you see from him as a coach?
00:22:49
Speaker 5: I think the things that it's about from John are his work ethic and his energy. Right, this guy shows up to the park every day with energy, sometimes more energy than the players and gets after it with those guys. He demands a lot, but he has a lot to give. So it's fun to see him out there. If the outfield coach is shagging out there, then then the players are like, man, I've better re out there shagging too. He's running sprints with them, holding guys accountable. So you know, that work ethic and that energy that he bring every day is inspiring and he just out there to make guys better, and so it's fun to watch him to watch work.
00:23:24
Speaker 2: I will say earlier in the year, definitely in the first half, we were on the you know the track pregame watching VP and there was this guy in like far way in centerfield hoodie on. My clue should have been that he also had a beanie on, but I was like, which outfielder is getting after it? Like leaping at the wall, like going all out. It wasn't as impressed with a stubby claps diving stop a couple of weeks ago on the infield during VP, but it was pretty close and I looked over.
00:23:49
Speaker 1: And I was like, Oh, that's that's John Jay. That's not an outfielder on the team. That is John Jay. You still have a JA. I think. I think if they really needed you, could you go out there and.
00:23:58
Speaker 6: Post I want to see yes, I want to see yes. Well I'm not.
00:24:07
Speaker 5: He's the emergency outfredre for you to activate somebody from the staff.
00:24:11
Speaker 1: Okay, well then what's your role?
00:24:14
Speaker 3: I know, I'll let him get after it. I'm done playing. I'll let him shag.
00:24:19
Speaker 2: You have to say, because your manager is most likely getting ejected at some point during so you have to be there. Has to be like a backup manager on reserve.
00:24:27
Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, so yeah, I'll hold myself out just but.
00:24:31
Speaker 6: He's been he's been really good this year.
00:24:36
Speaker 1: He has he has the most.
00:24:39
Speaker 3: But we did set the line earlier this year.
00:24:41
Speaker 5: He said four and a half, and I think Jay and I both laughed at him and I know he's hit the over, but he.
00:24:49
Speaker 3: Has been good.
00:24:50
Speaker 5: He has been good some well, sometimes a player freaks out and then the manager has no choice but to go out there, so mend him for that. I don't think he always wants to get ejected, but sometimes as the manager, you don't really have a choice. Yeah, we can, but there's there's sometimes that he wants to get ejected.
00:25:08
Speaker 1: Yeah, you can tell, you can tell.
00:25:10
Speaker 2: My favorite was when he got ejected the last game of the first half and we had this like four hour rain delay, and he got ejected in the bottom of the eighth and he comes flying out and he has eight fingers up and I'm not I can I just know him and I did like the lip rid later and you can see him say, you threw me out in the eighth because you man sit through an entire rain delay, you know, rightfully, So if you're gonna throw me out, do it before the delay.
00:25:37
Speaker 5: But I will say, we have not at least Alie and I haven't gotten thrown out on the same play this year at all.
00:25:44
Speaker 3: Like we did last year twice in Milwaukee twice run it back. We have two more chances, so we have run it back for all time sakes. The people may want to see J managed. I don't know.
00:25:55
Speaker 1: Is that how the Jay we're it?
00:26:01
Speaker 3: I'm in last last year with Alie me Turner, so we're gonna go Brownie. I don't know.
00:26:10
Speaker 1: I don't know, guys, Let's find out. Does everyone get righted?
00:26:12
Speaker 5: And then eventually, Oh, I've been good, I've been I've been good this year.
00:26:15
Speaker 3: I've been good. For now?
00:26:18
Speaker 2: All right, guys, I know you have to get to American Family Field for a thrilling seven to fifteen matchup against the Brewers and which maybe a J presents people show up to that one.
00:26:27
Speaker 1: He just texted me. By the way, I hope it's an apology. AJ.
00:26:29
Speaker 2: If you're watching this, it's only because we care and we know that you're better than this.
00:26:33
Speaker 1: You're better.
00:26:34
Speaker 5: I think that that gig pays more than this gig, so I'm sure he'll post for that one.
00:26:39
Speaker 1: I'm sorry, does this not look like a high quality podcast?
00:26:41
Speaker 3: Too serious? All right?
00:26:44
Speaker 1: Day, scous thanks so much for doing this again.
00:26:48
Speaker 2: You would like to check out more about the J Family Foundation, you can do so at Jfamilyfoundation dot com. I'm looking forward to the event on Wednesday and hoping to finish the season strong.
00:26:57
Speaker 1: Thanks. Its always guys, We'll talk soon, see you all
00:27:00
Speaker 3: Right, Thanks Katie,
Speaker 1: Hi, Hello, welcome back to Cardinal Territory.
