On the latest Blackhawks Live presented by Circa Sports Illinois, WGN Radio’s Charlie Roumeliotis and Jack Heinrich break down the Blackhawks’ trade deadline after sending Jason Dickinson, Colton Dach and Connor Murphy to the Edmonton Oilers, and captain Nick Foligno to the Minnesota Wild.
They discuss why it was important for GM Kyle Davidson to accumulate draft picks spread out over the next three years, and explain how he could use those assets to potentially acquire an impact player if the right opportunity arises and it aligns with the long-term trajectory of the rebuild.
Charlie and Jack close out the show by discussing the potential arrival of Anton Frondell in the near future and Oliver Moore’s injury, which could sideline him for the rest of the season.
