Between Two Dots Podcast
Episode 177 – Ryan Townend
Ryan Townend is the owner and driving force behind WilliamJoseph (WJ), a full-service marketing and branding agency serving clients locally, nationally, and globally. But his story doesn't start in a boardroom — it starts on a grain farm outside Wadena, Saskatchewan, population 2,000.Raised as an only child with a farmer's work ethic and a hunger to do more, Ryan found his calling not through a grand plan, but through a chemistry professor who told him he should go into marketing. That single moment of redirection set the course for everything that followed.
What sets Ryan apart isn't just strategy —it's his belief that great marketing is 75% psychology and 25% execution. From getting laid off at 27 and incorporating a new agency by Monday, to rebuilding and rebranding after his co-founder's departure, Ryan's journey is a masterclass in resilience, reinvention, and showing up fully — every singletime.
Between two dots – “Really, the value is inthat line: the journey.”
"When you take your God-given talent and you harness that with education, you have passion and you're built for this — and you can just soar." – Ryan Townend
