Another fun-filled week in the books. The NFL kicked off this week. College football, the official week one, I guess, is underway. Got some foosball going. Yeah, so this is our favorite time of year because well it gives us material without research. ⁓ We get to do just what we would normally do through the weekend and ⁓ have some content. So that's always fun. Yeah. So Jeff, how was your weekend? Was it great? It was good, Tom. That's cool. Yeah. Awesome. Went up to ⁓ the Chicago land. ⁓ I'm sorry. What? Yeah. Soon to be daughter in law's ⁓ pre wedding prep. Yeah, ⁓ bridal shower. ⁓ okay. Yeah. So we got got invited up there. Wait was this couples? No, no, no, no, no, no. Jake had to be there. But so the f the future Jake's future father in law invited me up because he knew Shay and some of the girls. No, I I know some some people do couples showers. Yeah, yeah, yeah. ⁓ yeah, yeah, exactly. Exactly. There's one this ⁓ this weekend that we're Probably gonna stop by. So yeah. So yeah, it was me, Link's sisters, Vanna. My sisters, Tana, Tear, and my Seaster Mary, all in one fucking house. ⁓ cool. Yes. Awesome. Yeah. It was no, we we did. We had a lot of fun. A lot of fun. But ⁓ so we drove over to their house after the shower. It's about a thirty minute drive from From the house we were in. And I swear to Christ I said I we we were about five minutes away. I go, get me the fuck out of this car. Get me the fuck out of this car. Yeah, I can see I can see that. If you make a scream, I felt like a dad. If you if you guys keep screaming back there, I'm gonna pull this car over. I'm gonna whoop whoop your ass. I'm no, I'm not gonna whoop our ass. I'm gonna walk to the to the party. I just want out. Yes, I just get me out of here. ⁓ It was ⁓ it was fun. We had lot of fun. ⁓ yeah, playing with them. So yeah, it was yeah, it was a good weekend, great weekend. Awesome. Linko, anything good? Well, ⁓ happy birthday to ⁓ my current wife. ⁓ yeah. September eleventh, unfortunately, is her her B day. ⁓ but ⁓ this was the first year in several years she was actually in town. Really? Home for her birthday. I I think she's been gone the last three years. ⁓ wow. For for her birthday, yes. Wow. So first time in a while. ⁓ so because of travel and and comp days and shit like that, she i is on Friday, so she had the day off and she didn't know it, but I also took the day off. That'll good for you. And what a guy. And it was a guy. ⁓ Had I known more cards would have planned this and planned that and done this and gone here. I was like Well, hang on. I would have showered. Anyway. She she was showered. Kenya Kenya had the day off too. She works ⁓ half day every other Friday. ⁓ huh. So that w that was a day that she was completely off as well. So so we all kinda hung out. ⁓ and Southern Irish twin current wife was Northern Irish twin there too? No. They they left that morning. They went out of town. ⁓ I'll talk a little bit more about that here in a little bit. But ⁓ but yeah. ended up she was just just tired and worn out. One of the reasons she didn't want to go up on on the trip that you just talked about. And yep, so we basically we got some steaks, we grilled some steaks, some baked potatoes, broccoli, and pineapple. And I made her cake upside down. Awesome. And I made our cake. Yeah. So gluten free and dairy free. Didn't rise free. Doesn't rise real well, doesn't it? Yeah, it does. It does. It could have been upside down. So anyway, so that's fun. ⁓ happy birthday, Nance. We we called you last week on your birthday, but yeah, you didn't say it again. So anyway, that was that is about it. That's that's kind of the highlight of the the weekend. ⁓ so yeah, I did ⁓ I did actually ⁓ Work was a little funky for me on Monday and Tuesday. So we had a a ⁓ client that had already shut down for us for for in an anyway. But we had to go in and at eleven o'clock PM and go do this job for this basically replace all of their electronic components for their system. ⁓ yeah. So yeah. So we worked until ⁓ about four AM. So stayed up the entire night. I didn't do a whole hell of a lot Monday work wise and Tuesday I didn't do shit. I can't imagine. I literally sat on the couch and dozed on and off all day. So that that kinda effed up. Still getting back on schedule. Still struggled. That's how that shit goes. So anyway. How about you, Brett? Bitch, you gotta get ready for international travel. Come on, dude. I needed to get ready for golf league last night too and that that never happened. I had a great weekend. ⁓ went to visit went to visit Kylie ⁓ and David in in their place. And the last time I was there is when they moved in. Moving in anywhere sucks for everybody. ⁓ yeah. It was just cool to see them kind of being adjusted. Yeah. Yeah. Yep. Right? Adulting. Yeah. Which I hate that term. I don't know. Yeah, but ⁓ mm but in a good way. Yeah, yeah, yeah. There there's steps you should go Absolutely. Right? Absolutely. I feel like they're kinda in it and ⁓ it was interesting 'cause the previous weekend we went to see Matthew. Yeah. So we we took them both out to buy groceries and stuff and it's just so different because he's still at college. Yep, yep. We bought him like three dollars and eighty six cents worth of stuff. Rama. Like, hey do you want this? Do you this? He's like, No, I'm good, I'm good, I'm good, I'm good. ⁓ so with Kylie we dropped like four bills at Costco. But ⁓ yeah, I twenty four pack of toilet paper and that's what it is. It's a little bit of everything. Like we're getting ready to check out I'm like, dude, we didn't get alcohol. You you at least need a case of beer, right? Sure, sure. We gotta do that. So yeah. And then ⁓ Sunday we wrestled and that's We're starting, so there we are. You and Mary or Yeah. What we're clear. Who's the we said Mary and I ⁓ Who won? Do you keep score? Does anybody lose in that? She's not a state qualifier, Jeff. Come ⁓ on. Tell me how about you I ate dinner. I ate a real nice dinner. Did you Harry and Izzy's? ⁓ okay. Like that place. Yeah. Just like that place. Yeah, that's good. Tom's had a rough week, so I was being nice to him. I did not ask what he ate. No, we got shoot fast, he actually ate something good. I had a ribeye. But but you actually did point out that you didn't ask him what he ate, so you might as well just ask him. I started a question for him. ⁓ we paid full price. You did pay full price. ⁓ No free meal. No free meal. No the steaks undercooked. Take it back. We found out that Amy doesn't like Woodford on her bread pudding. But yeah. ⁓ wow, that sounds huh ⁓ delicious. I didn't know that was an option. So they make ⁓ they have a bread pudding, I forget what it well it's called No They're known for that. That's Woodford reserve bread pudding. No, really? So they make this they make this giant bread pudding and it's enough for two or three phone. ⁓ no, it's a big skillet thing. Yeah, but but yes. It's not an individual. So when they bring it to the table, they're like, Do you want the Woodford on it? Because they don't put it on it before so it doesn't cook off. They literally pour it on after they bring it to the table. And based on some other tables that got the same thing, you clearly can tell them how much we would like on it. ⁓ because the guy keep going. The guy next to us, I'm pretty sure they were hammered after bright after dessert. But ⁓ we I just I had them go light because she doesn't drink anyhow. Yeah. But that That flavor of the ice cream and the caramel and everything else with the bourbon. And she's like, Pretty the bourbon is too strong. I can just taste and I'm like, I can't taste this. Did they did they burn it or did they flambee it? Flambe it? No. As much as as much as you tell them to pour. They just keep pouring. She comes out with a big bottle of bur of Woodford and just Nice. It was delicious. So there's and it was it was solid. There's an ice cream shop down in I think it's in Bardstown, Kentucky. Yeah. And there's ⁓ one of the options is you you pay extra or whatever, but you can get a a couple ounces of shot or whatever. I would not have bourbon on your ice cream. Yeah. And that's good. I bet it is. I'm telling you, I'm not that's gotta be I'm not a giant fan of like frozen cocktails and and things like that in general. But I don't know, a good strong liquor on some ice cream or in a frozen something. Yep. Pretty tasty. Or over a nice hot brownie. I don't know. Or bread pudding for this for this situation. But yeah. So yeah, no, we didn't get anything free. ⁓ it was a fantastic experience. We enjoyed every minute of it. And me and my current wife and brother in law and sister, we had a great meal. Good. That's good. Good, good. Now it's time for the report. This week in history. Just a couple stories this week, boys. 1893, the world's largest scrambled for free land. ⁓ the Sooners? Yeah. More than 100,000. 100,000 homesteaders descend on six million acres. Can you imagine that? Called the Cherokee Strip to stake their claim on. Forty thousand homesteads. Hang on. Hang on. Cherokee strip. Yep. Wasn't that right by the track? Back in the she was working downtown last week. Yeah. That does sound like a stage thing, doesn't it? Give it up for Cherokee Strip. Yeah. so the territory would become part of Oklahoma in nineteen aught seven. The land had originally been set aside for the Cherokee Indians, however. US President Benjamin Harrison forbade grazing leases in the Cherokee outlet after October second of eighteen ninety. So it basically eliminated tribal profits from ⁓ cattle leases and the Cherokee then agreed to sell their lands to the government. The government was is like, Why the hell would we buy it? Well we can just fucking take it. We we just bent that group over again and again and again. Wow. So the ⁓ the settlers who were known as boomers, ⁓ that's what they were known as, and weren't supposed to enter the territory until noon on September sixteenth. But many snuck in early and that's where the term sooners come from. Really? ⁓ Yeah. So they they were they went too soon. So they were the Sooners. So you you would think that's a derogatory term, but they still use it. I mean you're just running to get your response. I think you're on your wagon. I think you're wagon in your conestoga. Fuck that, you could run quicker, couldn't you? I don't with the terrain? Six million acres, dude. I don't know. Because I think it was pretty wide open. I don't I don't think the terrain. What's six million divided by forty thousand? Seven thousand twenty two. Let's figure it out. Could you imagine that you're You're sitting in West Virginia. You're going to claim your land. Hey, honey, I got an idea. That's where we're gonna live. I got an idea, honey. ⁓ a so we'll pack up the wagon and those three little kids. 150. Yeah. 150 acres? Hang on. Hundred and fifty. What do you hit the wrong button? But that's that's the thing. Jeff got there first, so we're not gonna live here. Yeah. We're picking a lot over here. So did they have it all marked off so when you showed up? I I think so. I from what I remember, there there was a They use that shit they use on soccer fields. There was a movie. They used a drone. They used a drone. I don't think they had marking paint. Lakes leaving. Lakes leaving. No, no, no, no. There there was a movie flags and stakes. Yeah, there w there was a movie about it. And if you if you were the first one there and you grabbed a stake or the flag It was your land. Yeah, it was your land. Yeah. Wow. I still got I've got six million divided by forty thousand is a hundred and fifty acres. Per. Yeah. So damn. I'm sure there were some greedy asses that got double that amount What's what's his face? ⁓ your cousins run next door and grab the second steak and then you're Maverick. Dude from dude from Top Gun. I can't even think Tom Cruise. He was in a movie and they they were on a wagon, him and his wife were from Ireland or something like that, and they came over and they were they were doing that or something. I can't remember the name of the movie. No, I don't remember. Speaking of Tom Cruise. I barely remember the name of the movie, or I don't know the name of the movie. I can't remember Tom Cruise's name. Speaking of Tom Cruise, did you see he was in ⁓ Taylor's box on Sunday night? Excuse me. Does Travis know this? I was gonna say. Yeah, he yeah. Is that thing just open for business or what? He's probably the one that put her up there, put him up there. Yeah, you can go in Taylor's box. Anybody can do it. Allegedly just one quick interjection. ⁓ sure. Allegedly she was telling ⁓ ESPN was that Monday in history. Was that a Monday night game? That was Monday night or Sunday night. Monday Kansas City Chiefs game. Allegedly before the game went and talked to the producer of ABC ESPN, whoever said please do not put the camera on me. When something good happens on You what? Every game I go to, I go I go tell ⁓ the same thing. I do too. And they never do. It works. It works. It works. It works for you. I'm gonna say good on her, man. This this chick everything she does is critique. And she's like we all bitched about that she got too much pub, right? Yeah, absolutely. So now she's saying don't film me. Yeah. Yeah. And it's it's still a topic. But I'm contri cont Critiquing her going to the producers and telling telling them not not to put her on camera. I'm critiquing her right now. Yeah, absolutely you are. Anyway. Hey, this weekend issue 1922. You guys heard of the Straw Hat Riots? Does that name sound ring any bells? ⁓ I never knew what the hell it even was. I don't know what it is, but it does ring So over the course of eight days, ⁓ boys ⁓ and men Boys and men actually fought each other on the streets of New York. So in the early nineteen hundreds, straw hat season for men customarily began on May fifteenth, which was known as straw hat day. And ended on September fifteenth, Felt Hat Day. So basically once you transition hats. Yeah, you gotta get to your warm hat. Apparently became such a big ass deal, ⁓ it was considered an etiquette violation to wear the wrong hat. Kind of like wearing white after Labor Day, right? Right. Same exact concept. Got it. Except this went got out of hand. So it kicked your ass. ⁓ yeah. Yeah. So it went around. They started What are you wearing straw hat for, buddy? Just knocking ⁓ off their heads. And then when people kind of start fighting back, going, Hey man, no, leave my hat alone. ⁓ you got the beat down. So yeah. So where's the etiquette in that? It etiquette is not to wear the straw hat after a certain date, but yeah, you can go beat the shit out of somebody that's wearing the straw hat. That makes perfect sense. Absolutely does. Absolutely, Jeff. Huh. Okay. I never even knew what is there's a whole story about it and everything. So yeah, there ⁓ even so in nineteen twenty-two, even a few days before Felt hat day, people were still fucking around and going out and and beating on people for having straw hats. No, so there was a riot. ⁓ yeah. We got two days left. It went on eight days. ⁓ my gosh. Wow. Yeah, a whole life. And nobody thought maybe I don't wear my straw hat outside and I won't get my ass beat. Maybe. Well it was still within the rules. But what if you didn't have a felt hat? What if you only had a straw hat? What if you didn't wear a hat? What if you didn't wear one at all? Hey, we're missing everything. Is there a top hat? Day. ⁓ that's asked Tom. They're pretty common. There should be. It sounds like a Tom's house. That's everywhere. I'd wear a top hat tomorrow if I had to. I know you would. Anyway, that's it. All right, week one of the NFL kicked off, and the Bears and ⁓ the Panthers had the highest scoring week one score. Did you hear about that? No, I guess not. My weird news of the week. ⁓ huh. Tommy? ⁓ we're Skipping right over that. Sorry. No, that's each? No, game total. Yes. Okay. And There was no score in the NFL this week that ended in the same point spread. Yeah, where's your where's your weird story? We gotta go with that first. Sorry, I jumped the sh I jumped the sequence. I jumped the sequence. So did you did you get Let's go joke the week right now. There is news you can use. Sorry, I got off ⁓ It's been a week. It's been a tough. It's been a time. Weird, weird, weird, we're weird, weird, we weird. In California, weird of the week. More than a hundred people gathered at Ocean Beach in San Francisco for a viral group event called Guttural Scream at the Sea. Okay. To vent their frustrations. With the ocean? At the ocean. Screaming in the ocean. Wouldn't that have ⁓ Led Zeppelin song? Pretty sure, yes. Organized by local resident Danielle Egan, the weekend gathering featured participants shouting into the Pacific Ocean over everyday stressors like raising rents, AI frustrations, and general world events. ⁓ of course. The event also included an individual screaming contest where winner Olivia Gugliamata hit an impressive one twenty-one point nine decibel. Holy God. What is nearly reaching the 129 decibel world record? Wow. And individual hit will hit that. Yes. Wow. So you see all that shit all the time at football games. Yeah. Like if you reach one ten to one fifteen, that's loud. ⁓ yeah. Yeah, yeah. She hit Could you imagine them with her? No. Yeah. So how about that? I'm feeling really stressed about my rent, Tom. Let's let's go to the beach. Go to the ocean. Go to the beach and just scream at the ocean about my rent. What the fuck is that? About world problems, about poverty. Not just one or two. There were a hundred of ⁓ out there. We it was only a hundred people? I thought you said a thousand. No, I said hundred. Pretty sure I did. I think Josh Allen rushed for sixty yards on that. Yeah. He scored eighty five. Did he score? He did. Yeah, he scored. Yeah. He rushed first touchdown. That's good for you. ⁓ As they were driving down there, I thought I should have had Josh Allen for first touchdown because he's gonna Well, I had him f I thought I was Almost got him for an any time, but I didn't. So So anyway, yeah, back to ⁓ back to the NFL. Anyhow, back to the NFL. So the Bears Bears and the Panthers, highest scoring week one, total of ninety six points scored in a fifty nine to thirty seven wackadoo game. Anyhow, and and not so great news, the Indianapolis Colts racked up the first W of the season. Holy crap, dude. Hard to watch. That was hard to watch. I think I'm glad I was wrestling and saw zero plays of that game. I I think I'm gonna take up wrestling. So I'm sure. So here's the thing. You got a spot for an assistant, dude. Obviously nobody I don't think anybody picked the Colts to win or even to cover. Nope. However that's that's a tough game to start. However, they came out strong, scored immediately. Sure. And then it was like they were leading? The After the first quarter. Won the toss took the ball. Took the ball. And and scored. And scorched right there. Here we Here we go. And then for a quarter and a half we didn't do it again. No. Wasn't it? Wasn't it like a quarter? Yeah, because then they scored. They didn't score again in the first. I think they scored in the second, didn't they? And then we threw an interception. Yeah. And they scored a touchdown, then we got the ball back and and J T fumbled. Yep. And then they scored again. It was Katie Bar the door after that. Then So the whole thing is we all know there's been a lot of changes in the NFL. There's a lot of teams got new coaches. We didn't, unfortunately. Expectations, I think, for the Colts have been high, but not unrealistic. Correct. You know, I think most people were saying the division. Yeah, win the division. Get an get an eight or nine win season. Six six or seven. Yeah. Probably be good. ⁓ but playing like that, it's not going to be possible. No, it just isn't. And so many problems. So many problems on both sides of the ball. And it's just it's disappointing. As a Colts man, it's frustrating. Yeah. Because there is so much talent on the team. There really is. And you see teams with lesser players, I guess, for lack of a better way to describe it, that just play the game better. And and win or lose, they just play the game better. Yep. And it's just it's it's hard to Derrick Henry I don't care what team he plays for. That son of a bitch destroys the Colts every time. He destroys a lot of teams. He destroys a lot of teams. I get that. But there's also some teams that shut him down. Yeah. He didn't get 125 yards a game. Yeah. But I mean, every time he plays the Colts, that dude scores a shitload and just runs all over us. Yeah. I guess we had a linebacker in there. We we got rid of both of our linebackers. We got what three more three new ones in. I guess I I don't if it was TJ Allen or who it was, but there was a linebacker that was on the field for forty some odd forty five snaps. Zero on the stat line. Didn't do a fucking thing. Not even assisted tackle. Didn't get a penalty called against him. Nothing. Nothing. It was like he was the invisible man. Damn near impossible. That is hard to do. I feel I feel like you almost kinda dumb luck in this. Any one of the four of us. Could have suited up for forty-five plays and at least gotten a penalty. Or or an assist on it. You know, we could have got there when the big guys did, but jump in. Jump on the pile. Jump on the pile. And then you just well or you get run over. Yeah. But yet your teammate comes over and tackles them and you're laying flat on the looking up at the sky. With the cleat mark in your chest. I'm sucking this guy's junk, but I tackled him. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know. It's if you're a Colts fan, it's it's gonna be a hard hard road to hope. The stats a i I said I didn't watch game, but the stats are ridiculous. They have lost twelve of the last thirteen opening games. Yeah. Last year first game of the season. Last year. Last year they won. Yeah. But you're right. It's twelve of thirteen. It's just ridiculous. So you're starting in a hole. This is a team ⁓ middle of last season. We're talking about Super Bowl Pete. MVP ⁓ V P and Daniel Jones. And I I guess your quarterback goes down understand that, but how do you come out and a Baltimore is a good team. They're decent. But but totally different coaching staff. ⁓ yeah. They had consistency there for what seventeen years. Yeah, totally different coaching staff. You you think, yeah, maybe they're they don't have their shit together yet. They're they're learning whatever. It's just disappointing, man. Disappointing. Beyond beyond disappointing. When I think play across the the the league this past week, outside of that Kansas City game. Yeah. I watched a decent amount of football. The play is horrific. And I think a lot of it goes back to preseason. Tackling sucks. It it's terrible. That is that none of these teams, and especially the Colts, they don't play their starters. Yeah. Yeah. You gotta get reps. So what's the point? Just skip preseason. Yeah. Yeah, I I think preseason is now for the bottom twenty trying to make the team it's to cut it from ninety down to forty five. That's what you preseason. You can do that amongst yourselves, you know. Well yeah. I do some scrimmages with other teams or whatever. Well, and that's the other thing. They do those scrimmages against other teams and then they do preseason. So so you see other competition at some level leading up to the s opening week. But again, nobody wants to because because you got four weeks of previous you don't want to risk injury to your starters. Three. They play three. I thought it went to four. No, they play eight. ⁓ it was four. They went down to three. That's right. But to not put ⁓ in at all and ⁓ they played half a quarter or they Yeah. That's not g getting you game ready. That that would be the stats that would be interesting to see how many teams one week won. And what percentage of their starters played what percentage of time increases. So it does get ⁓ the the good news, Tom, is it it does get easier for the Colts. Now we go out to Kans now we go out to Kansas City on Sunday night on national T V and we're gonna get shit stomped out there. I mean the Chiefs look their their defense the game started last surprised. Yeah, I know. I didn't expect that out of the Chiefs. I know but the Walker. This is the NFL is weird though. Kenneth Walker. Yeah, Kenneth Walker. Yeah. That guy. This is where betting and all the NFL is weird because there's no way anybody would go a i I I would pick the Chiefs by fourteen. They're only five and a half. Right. Yeah. Yeah. The NFL is weird that way where stuff just happened. Yeah. Happens. And and and and the Colts do play the Chiefs. Well they do. Historically. Historically they have. Yep. Yep. Yep. But man. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know. I don't I don't know. I don't feel good about it. It's a twenty point game. ⁓ yeah. I I I just wonder if if it is a shit stomping on national T V 'cause it's Sunday night game, what's Carly gonna do? Yeah. Well she's got it she's gotta do something. She's gonna stay hot. Yeah. She's gonna paint on some more eyebrows. She's gonna stay on the floor. You don't see those from behind. Got it. Interesting. Okay. Shake. Makes sense. Anyhow. So what else happened in the NFL this past week? Anybody do good in fantasy? ⁓ no well the only the two of you do fantasy. So no Brett and I did not do how did he do, Jeff? ⁓ not bad. I like I said, I started the wrong quarterback. I didn't lose. there's a dude there's a dude in our league. I think he scored like a hundred and ninety two a hundred and ninety two points. I looked at his lineup. I'm playing him this week. He is he is on on pace or whatever to score a hundred ninety two perks per week. ⁓ I got ⁓ So my matchup in one of my leagues, the final score was one eighty five point five to one eighty five point two. Ooh. Yeah, that always sucks. Point three. Two. Yeah. That's the spot of a football on a line or a pass. That is yeah. That was a tough tough. Yeah, that would be brutal. So all right so you go to decimal points. My daughter, first fantasy league ever. She's like, Dad, what do you think? I'm like, ⁓ it changes how you watch and how you whatever. Yep. ⁓ so her her quarterback's Lamar. Yeah. I'm like, I I think he'll probably have a pretty good game against goal. Which he did. Yeah, he did. I had him too. And then ⁓ I had him and Derrick Henry. She calls or sends a text or something. Do have Zay Flowers also? No. Competition did. She's playing Caleb Williams, who was the other quarterback. ⁓ jeez. So she scored a lot of points. ⁓ yeah. And ⁓ she still had like three Chiefs going Sunday. And I'm like, this is where it sucks because you're gonna be up watching this whole game that you don't even totally care about. Exactly. Yeah, yeah. Just to see if you won this, and she's like Yeah, it's ⁓ it it's been it's it's interesting. I ⁓ since I left fantasy football, I don't miss it. Yeah. Yeah. I I kinda don't either. I I enjoy it. This is your first time though in yeah two years. Last year I didn't play either. Yep. It's fun playing with the group that we're in, sons and their friends and run mouth and that kind of crap, but right you know, yeah, it's it's I I tell you what, I I'm with Brett though. I mean t I'm I'm to the ca I played for years. Yeah. Yeah. Sometimes I was in three leagues at one point. And I and I honestly am to the point now. I'm just like I whatever, dude. I just watch football now. ⁓ Damn it. I just don't know. I do too. We all do. They're not they're not yeah. It's frustrating. Frustrating. What about college boys? That Texas ⁓ Georgia, Notre Dame, LSU and Texas A and ⁓ all took care of business. No. ⁓ then Texas edges out ⁓ Ohio State. ⁓ Texas actually played awful for three quarters. Yes. And ⁓ and Yes. Didn't play very good at all. I get it. Turned the ball over. But but that guy dropped a touchdown. That that turned into a pit. I I did I I didn't say Arch Manning play bad. I didn't say the line play. I just said they the the team dropping balls. I don't care why they didn't again they w they didn't do any good, but they just looked bad. Yep. But ⁓ the thing about that game, the reason Northern Irish Twin and Blocky were not at current wife's birthday day, they were down in Texas. ⁓ they went to the game. To the game. They were partying in that first three quarters. And and went went specifically for the game. It wasn't sometimes they're ⁓ 'cause they travel for work and stuff, sometimes like, hey, we're here, let's stay a couple extra days and and do X, Y, or Z. Yeah. Well, no, this was specifically to go watch that game, number one and number four. I did not know Blanke was that big an Arch Manning fan. Yeah, he's not. I thought he's an Ohio State fan. Yeah, I did too. I had no idea. It couldn't happen to a better team though. So when I when I talked to him about so he basically he he did say he said they got out coached is what he thought. And he said, which is fixable. He said everything that happened, the reason all the reasons why he thought the Buckeyes lost, he said they're all fixable. They got conservative in the So they did. They they played differently. Were they up twenty to three? Yes. In the fourth? Yeah. and they missed field goal. So they missed field goal and then they had two they had two three. Same kicker from last year? Because he shanked no he shanked that short ass kick in the Big Ten championship. It's it's not. I I'm guessing it's not. Yeah. So they got one just as good. Just yeah. Yeah. I think they I paid more money and he still missed. They they ran that they ran that kid and NIL for sure. So I heard that Ohio State in the second half, we were at a outdoor kind of party, so I was kind of half ass watch the game and not. And plus it was a blowout halftime. I Well this you know, there's no steam they're just gonna steamroll them. Yeah. I guess he punted on Texas's thirty nine in the second half. From Texas's thirty nine. I and I think they had like fourth and six or something like that. ⁓ my god. What the hell are you doing? Yeah. In c in in college football punting from their from the opposing teams thirty nine. I I not moving not moving the ball. I was talking about this with Blocky. How the good teams back in the day, ⁓ the a lot of the great top five, top ten teams didn't have any any decent ⁓ field goal kickers. Right. Somehow. Right. Game come down to the end, ⁓ you need a field goal, you're like, ⁓ shit. Yeah, yeah, yeah. This could go either way. ⁓ Yeah. Every once in a while you'd have somebody who's pretty decent well ⁓ shoot I can't Notre Dame kickers. Notre Dame kickers sometimes but but for the most ⁓ I mean like how many how many years like Alabama Alabama always struggled ⁓ with their field goal kicking. ⁓ who who else? ⁓ Miami, I think is who I'm thinking of. But anyway, I I don't know specific teams, but just how over the years I'm like, how can you not recruit a soccer player the top of the Well, one of his takes was because they score a lot of touchdowns. So why do I want to go to a team where I'm where I'm not going to be utilized very much? I'm like, ⁓ Okay. But but the field goals that you do need to kick are going to be pretty important. Correct. ⁓ especially towards the end of the season. You're gonna be on national T V, you're gonna be playing you may be playing for a a national championship. I mean and towards the end the season, you're you're more than likely to get in the playoffs now. Yep. So You're gonna be pretty important at that point. But anyway, you know the best stat and the most awesome stat I heard over the weekend so accurate. Is Ohio State has now lost three of their last four football games. And their one win was against that team from up in Muncie, Indiana. They've lost three of their last four football games. Isn't that awesome? Okay. So I I saw a a cater to my social media feed that the best record in college football over the last two years is Indiana. Yeah. ⁓ yeah, without a doubt. Yeah. So agree Lou Holtz recruited a kicker in the early nineties because in in that time frame it was Florida State, Miami, Nebraska. Who was still relevant back then. Right. In Notre Dame. And you're right. Nob how many of those games was a missed kick that decided, whether it was Florida State, Notre Dame, whatever, maybe. Yeah. Yeah. Hell, I mean Ohio State lost. Yeah. This this past weekend. The game we're talking about. Yeah because he he missed a field goal. He makes that field goal. It's a different ball game. Different ball game. Big Ten championship last year. Yeah, yeah. Honestly. ⁓ You're hitting from sixty. That's the expectation. If you're over fifty and you're not hitting them, you're not gonna be playing. You're not you're not gonna be playing long. I mean, and so college, it only makes sense that those guys coming up are gonna be hitting fifty, fifty-five, sixty pretty consistently. Yep. If they have any hopes of getting in the you know, should it have been an omen in that Colts game when they Marched right downfield, scored. ⁓ my god, missed the extra point. Missed the extra point on the What the fuck? Yeah, that was the beginning of the end. That should have been the telltale. As soon as it happened, I was like, what are we doing? What is fucking going on? And then ⁓ stupid ass Michigan ⁓ beat number eleven Oklahoma and Oregon. They apparently are who we think they are. They are ⁓ lost. Twenty-three and a half point phase. And unranked Oklahoma State, they lost to. They got beat by twelve. They almost got beat the the week before. Yeah. Yep. And and look like shit and it barely barely came back and won that game. And this week they did get beaten. Yeah, I I pulled a link here. I picked a ⁓ a twelve leg parley. ⁓ there you go. Seriously. Yeah, come on man. But bet money line on the ⁓ double digit favorites. ⁓ huh. Yeah. ⁓ I went eleven for twelve. Did you really? Yeah. Isn't that awesome? Yeah. I'm guessing the one you lost. Was Oregon. Yeah, he's he's got some issues up there. That's they're they're not a problem. You what, man? So did they fall out of the rankings last week? No, they just they just went they're No, not not Oregon. Michigan did. Michigan did Michigan did Michigan. Michigan were like Michigan. They shit stomped him. Like sixteenth to out of the top twenty-five. Oregon fell like t this three, two or three two or three spots. Yeah. I don't know what they fell this week. I I haven't looked yet. That's gotta not be good. I I think it it just is so Interesting where where things are at. Yeah. It just the first couple weeks, NFL and college are trying to figure s stuff out. I think that's why people play ⁓ cake schedules. Yeah, for sure. In good seriously, good on Ohio State Texas. Well shit. IU used to have to do it ⁓ to actually try to be bullshit. Try to get off. True. They they were the shit teams that put That other teams were playing in the first drive. But they scheduled more shit, lesser shit. Yeah. Again, I wonder how I don't know how far Ohio State fell because I didn't look at the rankings. I we can't we can't remember. I think they're like six, maybe. Yeah. Which which makes sense because everybody else wants to Yeah, they I didn't think they were gonna fall too far. So did they dominate that game though? And just fell apart? Almost three quarters. And fell apart in the fourth? I'm not gonna I wouldn't say dominate, it's just Texas look. They made Texas look Bad. Okay. Like just look bad. Like the I I mean, dominate the score didn't I mean it's twenty to three at one point. It's pretty on the road. And then Texas what twenty one unanswered points or whatever. So Texas is one, Georgia two, Notre Dame three, Indiana four, Miami five, Ohio State six. Miami LSU seven. Ole Miss eight. And they play each other, seven and eight play each other this week. Texas A and ⁓ nine. Alabama ten, BYU eleven, ⁓ Southern California twelve, Texas Tech thirteen. I'm kinda surprised. I'm kinda surprised Texas went up to one. They jumped they jumped. Yeah, that's a big jump. Yeah. ⁓ Penn State. I didn't understand that. I mean it doesn't it. I get you beat Ohio. It doesn't matter anymore. No, no. Back in the day. Oregon's now to twenty one. Yeah. ⁓ they drive they fell a lot. So I think they were fifth or six years. They started out Two, right? I thought preseason they were. They were I think they were two and then they dropped down to four five. Yeah, yeah, they were number two. Yeah. I think they dropped a five twenty. So did you hear that IU game that they went they shortened the game? So by a second? Yeah. Just to make outs of the other seconds that Michigan sort of. Yes. So they said I heard that they talked about that before. I've got a big ass issue with it. Hang on. I apparently it's happened before. Miami Miami also did that the the same week. Yes, correct. Yeah. Correct. When they did that seventy seven to whatever shit stomping, they still couldn't. They shortened the fourth quarter to ten minutes. Yeah. So what I heard was beginning of that game, the IU game, Signetti had a conference with the ⁓ the refs and they're like, Okay, if this turns into what we think it's going what it's gonna be Are you okay with ending it early? And Signeti's response supposedly was, Yeah, let's see how it goes. Check with me in the fourth quarter. Yeah. And so at the end at the fourth quarter, at the beginning of my fourth quarter, he's like, Yeah. Yeah. Or I don't agree with that. I don't either. I don't necessarily either for one simple reason. If I had IU in the fifty seven and a half, ⁓ I'd be pissed. Yeah. I'd be pissed. If that if that happens in a game The bet the bet should be nullified. Correct. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It should be absolutely nullified. Hundred percent. Win or lose. But that's an argument for the betting app, not the Correct. Not the I still don't like it. We're talking Division I college sports. We're not talking Pee-wee CYO. I understand. We're not talking little league. We're talking about practicing. Surrender college. No, practically ⁓ professional sports. I mean it might as well be. They're paid. Are you fucking telling me we're g we're going I feel bad for the little guy. If you feel that bad, coach, just ease up. Just run the ball. Take just maybe they w I didn't see a link of the game. Maybe they were I don't th I maybe they were too I don't I didn't see the end of it because once once games get that far ahead and I I kinda don't care about ⁓ anymore. I mean I don't know. And all you did was shave five minutes. Yeah, it's not just don't play the entire fourth quarter if if that's the case. Or just go to a running clock and the once once the point spread gets to us. That's what high school does. We're not stopping the clock at all. First downs, out of bounds, nothing. Agreed. It's the same concept because you're gonna save five minutes or more doing that. But my but my whole thing, Linko, is the the betters. I no, I get it. I I get that side of it. But if I know the NCAA allegedly doesn't care about them, but you know apparently they were running the ball. They had two hundred and ninety six rushing yards. Yeah, how many they have in the first half though on average when they were under running their normal offense. BB had a hundred and eighteen on sixteen carries and Turbo had a hundred and eight and a touchdown on eleven. I mean So he's getting ten yards every time he does every time he does that's almost as good as that wide receiver for ⁓ the Jesus. Baltimore. Baltimore. ⁓ Zay Flyer. Zay Flyers. Average thirty five yards a catch. Yes. And if some bitch gets hurt in the first half, doesn't play the second half. And still racked up enough fantasy points to dominate wide receivers. He didn't have just like two catches for seventy yards. No, no, no, no. He had a shitload of catches or a shitload of yards. Yes, he did. Hey, did we talk about ⁓ the problems down and old old Bill? Billy Land. ⁓ shit. Down at UNC. Yeah. Did we talk about those last week on Aaron? I don't think we did. That sounded like a shit. Billy Land. Yeah. Call it Billy Land. Yeah. His son just left the program. Well th his GM, Michael Lombardi. ⁓ yeah. Who was a famous GM in I think he wa I think he was in Green Bay when Favre was there, I think. But he he was a GM in the NFL for quite some time and him and him and Billy Boy were were friends and then what's his name got the Belichick got that job down in Carolina and brought him down as the team's their team's G. He used to be on the on the broadcasts. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well he didn't s he didn't make it to the to the ⁓ first game of the season. They fired his ass over the summer and it hasn't been it hasn't been ⁓ disclosed as to why. All right. So usually when that happens, it usually involves a co ed would be my guess. Or or drugs or something else. Right. But his son, ⁓ Stevie Just left the program. ⁓ his is for drugs. ⁓ yeah. Look at that. His is for drugs. Yeah. Good job there, Bill. Good old yeah. Yep. He was just when you think you have dysfunction in your family? No. Yeah. They got you beat allegedly or whatever. According to the media. So ⁓ what inside the facility? Take your wins. And with some of the players is what I heard on the radio. He was smoking with some of the players. Was it a hazing ritual where they cut some coke at the door? Was it just weed frat? I don't I don't know. Yeah. I that's the thing. Yeah. U and C. I didn't know. Those were shower. Those were shower. Yeah, those were those were yeah. Or are you talking about the cocaine? Little bitty boys. Cocaine frat. Wow. ⁓ What about so we we also didn't talk about the new Hall of Fame rules for the NFL? ⁓ yes. There are new rules. I didn't hear this. Yeah, I think I think you mentioned that. I can ⁓ pull them up. Mr. Google will have it here in ten seconds. I was listening to that last week and they did change all the rules for the for the Hall of Fame. While you're looking that up, ⁓ Brett will go to the bathroom for the third time in the last fifteen minutes. Dude, you cracked the seal. What were you thinking? I know, I said this was a mistake. It was a mistake. Yep. So anywho. Yes, what were you gonna say? No, that was it. ⁓ that was it. Another bucket? Second. All right. So selection committee size and structure. Smaller committee. Voting panel can ⁓ has been significantly reduced from fifty down to twenty eight. That's probably not a bad thing. ⁓ no. Yeah. I don't I I don't disagree. Voting versus non voting. So this is what I thought was interesting. Out of the twenty eight members, twenty-five vote each year while the remaining three are non voting participants who join the candidate s discussions. So there's three people. Kind of like an alternate juror. Yeah, it's it's kinda like there's three people in the room while they're talking about and maybe try to influence or or sell it. And then the old model, which had one media representative assigned to each of the thirty-two NFL cities, has been completely eliminated. It's now twenty-seven at large selectors, including prominent media members and Hall of Famers, alongside one representative from the Pro Football Writers of America. So that those are kind of interesting. I kinda like them. They eliminated the seniors category. So There's a unified player pool. The modern era players and seniors categories have been eliminated. Players ⁓ before ⁓ players would move into the senior pool after being retired for twenty five years. So that's gone. And and I think they put one senior in every Ronnie lot? No, it wasn't Ronnie Lot. It ⁓ Roger Craig this year. Roger Craig. The running back from St. Fran. The new rule there is now a single unified pool for All eligible players once they clear the five year retirement period. Okay. So that's new. ⁓ the contributor definition expanded the resume consideration for the contributor. Instead of being strictly limited to individuals who contributed outside of playing or coaching, candidates can now be evaluated on a full football resume that may incorporate a mix of playing, coaching, and other executive front office contributions. ⁓ Finalists are considered ⁓ yeah, go ahead. No, I was gonna say so there's gonna be people in the hall that we have administrators. ⁓ GMs, I think it's GMs or So who who's the Ravens tight end god dang it, man, I can't remember his name. He he's Ravens front office for the last twenty years. He's a tight end Ozzie Newsom. Yeah, Ozzie Newsom. Ozzie Newsom. Like that guy, like maybe his career. doesn't get him in but his contribution to the game. But when you put that whole package I I actually I like that. It's not bad. Yeah, they can't it's not Betty at the front desk of ticket taker. ⁓ okay, gotcha. Unless she's hot. If that was the case you'd be at the Indianapolis Motor Speed. ⁓ yeah. ⁓ sure Jeff For all your time and your experience. I'm like, how do we get you nominated to be in that old timer's club? He's like, Yeah, I'm not good at Matt. I could have been the youngest old timer. Well, I guess I've You have to be sponsored to get in there and I had somebody who who asked me a handful of times. They're like, Hey, I'll I'm I'll I'll sponsor you and I'm like, Was that your golf partner? Is that your golf partner? He hadn't been around long enough. All right, so we got thirteen players that are drawn from the unified player pool. One coach is dis determined by the coach subcommittee and one contributor determined by the contributor subcommittee. So that I mean it's that I think the most significant change is that they pared down the selection committee. Yeah. And I think that's important. What I don't understand about the senior thing, you know, like like ⁓ Roger Craig getting in. Right. thirty some odd years after he played his last out. Yeah. If he wasn't good enough to get in back then. That seems disrespectful, ⁓ honestly. Correct. Well, and Roger Craig was a badass. So in the hole thing. Yeah. A lot of And I think a lot of it is they lose sight of some of these guys that have been out for a while because if you don't get in the first time, then the can gets kicked down the road and then There's somebody else that rose up correct. That came out. Yeah. You know, now they're a year or two after you did. Yeah. And and I think what happens is some of that that pool of people that are worthy get overshadowed by somebody who may have been later than them. And like flavor. Yeah. Yeah. And I think that's unfortunate. That's what Reggie Reggie Wayne is experiencing right now. Right. Exactly. And and I I just think I don't know. I I don't mind the five year rule. But can and I I say this about the rock and roll hall of fame too. Can we take care of all the people that should already be there and just get that off the plate? But isn't isn't and be done with it? Isn't the whole and then move forward. Rock and roll hall of fame. Doesn't the artist and or group band have to pay an exorbitant amount of money there to get into there? I thought I I thought I heard that. That's why Steve Miller technically no, because they can't advertise that. That is that is a whole lobbying. process that yes there's there's a lot of money that exchanges yeah and people yeah because there's legit bands ⁓ hundred percent belonging there's the list is long but but but like like the you know every year there's bands that come up for the Hall of Fame very worthy but they get overshadowed by somebody that may have come just came later or came just came out. Mm-hmm. I think I think this is kind of the same thing where There's a player that's worthy, but because you can only put so many in every year, somebody gets one one vote for just to push that one guy out of the way. And that kind of sucks. Hall of Fame's a change where fan input matters. Somewhat. I think it matters less than in some situations though it does. I'm like it like all star games have changed that way. Like fan vote, I'm like, that's that's not They're gonna score again. Well, and it's it's it's in a popularity contest. It's why I don't like places. Because if you're in New York or LA or whatever and fan vote matters, then you're you're in a different level. Well it's like the MLB Hall of Fame, you know, where you've got all those writers voting these guys in. You know. Yeah, shoeless Joe. That that writer from Chicago may hate, you know, yeah, the the guy from the they need it, they ought to make it. Current players or former players only voting, voting, voting for any hall of fame. I love that if I'm in, I get a say in who gets in here. I really do. Yeah, I think the Hall of Fame the current Hall of Famers. So when Derek Jeter went in. I've done this shit. Yeah. I get a vote. Yeah. There was one person, one writer, one asshole that voted against him going into the Hall of Fame on his first ⁓ attempt. First ballot on his first ballot. So 'Cause i you oughta you ought to be able to find out who that who that writer is. Yeah, and kick him out. And and not yeah. I mean that's just ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. Yeah, that whole BS ⁓ especially in in baseball, the Hall of Fame in baseball, that the it's like they don't they don't want anybody to go in on their very first attempt. Yeah. Right. They're like, Nope, nope, sorry. Yeah and then you always have the one or two people are like, No, no, no, no. So so and so I think was better than you and they didn't get on in their first ballot. I'm like fucking bullshit. Just if I'm good enough, I'm good enough. Yeah. I don't care. I agree. It doesn't matter. If you worked that hard and you got there and you did all the right stuff, yeah. Just put ⁓ in. Call it done. I want to see more Gana in the baseball hall of fame. She's probably got that's hilarious. She's probably dead. She's probably got a place. Yeah. Anyhow, so the Bills are playing in the new high mark stadium. Just some observations from the game playing in the background. Did they do O Canada? I heard they were going to, yes. ⁓ I don't know. I heard they were going to, yeah. They did the Canadian National Anthem to start the game. That was kind of stadium in Canada. No, no. It's in Buffalo. ⁓ okay. Come on, it's right there. Right, it's right there. Yeah, I I just thought was weird. Which are still I mean a good a good driver and a seven iron will get you into Canada from Buffalo, pretty much. Not me last night for by by any means. But a couple weeks ago. A couple of weeks ago I was there. It's in Erie Woods. Erie County, New York, Orchard Park. Yep. Okay. But but I noticed watching the game though, it appeared they had a place where and it was kind of behind all the coaching and everything else. But you could just walk up and stand there at field level. Really? Yeah, I would just saw it on TV. I don't know, but it'd be cool as shit to go down there and have a beer at field level during the game. Do they do they just come on man? Tell me you wouldn't be able to be able to see, but you could hear it. You could hear shit. Yeah, you can hear shit. And those seats my buddies got for the Colts games, seven rows up. Jeff, I I'm I've been disappointing you a lot, but this week specifically. No. You did not bring up the ⁓ women's international basketball Festival. ⁓ my god. What what are you talking about? The the Women's International Championship. Yeah. It's FIFA, but not with ⁓ with FIFA. It's FIFA. Huh. It's the pussy line. I didn't ⁓ Tommy. ⁓ Like Paige Becker. Passed to Caitlin Clark. Well and then Caitlin Clark didn't start and she didn't start any of the games in the championship game, ⁓ she comes off the bench and they were down ten and then they come roaring back. Well, I guess her and Angel Reese really hit it off during during the tournament. I'm sure they did. And they said it's and and she, you know, Caitlin came out and said, Hey, as far as competitors we are on the court. She said, I I've got a respect a lot of respect for her. She goes, We don't hate each other. We're not enemies. We're competitors against each other. We're not you know, we're not supposed to be nice out there on the court. I think I wonder what Angel says about that. I think the media the media was trying to turn it into something and asked her one ⁓ I I read like two paragraphs of a of an article and they they asked her about Angel or something like that, and they were trying to make it into something, and she basically's like, Are are you are you kidding me right now? Yeah. She's like, what she she I think she literally was like, What what are you doing? What do you do when I think the problem is Angel runs her mouth too much. I think that's the biggest problem. Who said that? Caitlin. Caitlin said that to report. Caitlin said that to the reporter. Like, what are you even trying to start with? Sorry, I thought you meant Angel actually said that. No, Caitlin said that too. I haven't heard it or seen much where she deflects in. Yeah, I've never heard a positive interview with Angel Reese. I've not seen an interview Reese. ⁓ I honestly have not seen I think if that came on I'm I'm grabbing the remote. Did we talk a couple of weeks ago about the ⁓ did we talk a couple of weeks ago about the ⁓ WNBA commissioner no longer going to be the WNBA commissioner? Well imagine that she can't tell. She can't tell a boy from a girl. Yeah, at the end of the season she's done. She can't tell a boy from a girl. Why would she be the commissioner? I mean, you know, is what it is. Yeah. Wow. All right. So the Bills are playing the Lions right now as we're recording. Sort of. And the Bills are kicking their ass. The Lions are on the field. ⁓ my god. If they cover if they cover the points, the over and under, the Bills are gonna score all of them. I'm glad I took Detroit. At one time the total yards before this series was bu Buffalo two ⁓ seven, Detroit ten. Is that is that good? ⁓ you want the lower score buffalo. It's not lower score. Yeah, for buffalo. And when you say golf, Jim. When you say before this series, Buffalo had the ball. So they have even more than two of sevens. Yeah, so they're close to three hundred to ten in yards. Anyway. Crazy. Yeah, how about that? CFL is fully engaged. Holy cow, look at that. Easy peasy. So yeah, yeah. Here's the thing I was thinking ⁓ the other day, now that I'm not in fantasy football anymore. nobody really cares. Just saying, like if even if I was still in fantasy football, I really don't care about your team. Your team, your score, that you lost by two points, that all you need is 12 points out of out of a quarterback or a running back. Nobody really does care. I could have said that when I opened my mouth about it. I mean I lost by half a point, Link. But now you're gonna wait twenty minutes to bring something up. I'm just saying half a point, but half a damn point. There were two things that came up this week, and that was one of ⁓ I can't remember the other one. Did they both involve me? Probably. Probably. Probably. ⁓ They gave you eight hundred and sixty fucking dollars last night. It kinda it kinda does have to do with you because it's the same thing with golf. Like you come off the golf you get get off the golf the golf course and you start going, man, I miss this one putt. If I would have just done If I'd have just done this. ⁓ blah blah blah. Aga again, they almost double DR strike. I'll listen to you. Uh-huh. But I I I got my own problems on the fucking off course. People ask you how'd you shoot? How'd you play? I mean that that gets asked all the time, you know. You you know why they ask that? 'Cause they want you to turn around and ask them so they fuck them. All they're doing is waiting for you to stop talking so they can tell you about what their round was like. I don't even care. But it yeah, those like those those two things, I'm just saying boys holy cow boys and men and girls. Yeah, by the way, congratulations to ⁓ Linko and his partner David Blosser. ⁓ they did finish second in ⁓ good, nice nice little play out of ⁓ twenty teams. Twenty teams? They came on strong at the end. Blosser, I guess. Blosser was really playing well. He played well last night. He played actually he if it wasn't for him ⁓ throughout the I mean it it takes it takes a team. Absolutely. It takes a village. Takes a village right Hillary. ⁓ am I gonna hear about your fucking golf scores now? Great. Yep, you sure are. Yeah, no, no we're not. No, you said we were week five, we were eighth place. Okay, nobody cares, Link. Week five we were eighth place. I'm interested. So yeah. By ⁓ by week ten we were up to fourth, week fifteen we were fourth, and then the final week we were second. But yeah. Yeah, you guys moved up steadily. Yep. That's awesome. Yeah, we're almost ⁓ mid pack in week five towards the beginning of the season. Yep. So and and and and your play and and boss's play matter somewhat, but the matchups matter, I think, even I mean that's all When you when you play people, what time of the year if you're if you're playing if you're playing well, if you have one of the people playing well and the other one playing decent or or vice versa, depending on i any any match. Mm-hmm. I don't care who you're playing, you're you're gonna you're gonna score. Mm-hmm. mean if you're playing decent, I don't care who the team is. Yeah, you don't know how many times Leak me and my partner heard this year. This is the best round of golf I've ever I've ever played. Yep. I'm like, you gotta be shit. That happened to us like four weeks in a row. And and these you know, some guy that's shooting forty five and forty six out there comes out and shoots a thirty seven against us. I'm like, Jesus Christ. What wha what can you do? Can't do anything. Nothing. Yeah. ⁓ Tom and I are getting in next year. Are you as well? Better boy. We'll shoot. ⁓ fifty nine and sixty two. We'll make you we'll we'll all make you look like you're eligible for the PGA. There might be ⁓ there might be room next year. I I think I'm gonna not ask a few teams back. ⁓ we'll play. Can we be on the same team? Hey, you're gonna be starting with my man to the right over here. You wanna go out front? Is that how that works? You don't you don't ask the second place team to take a hike. Yeah, you do. Dude, I've been in a league since the beginning. Yes, you have. Yeah, that's just saying back when we had like what, sixteen eighteen? Maybe sixteen. So blossoms the dick. Six or seven? Wow. All right, Brett. You got a joke this week? ⁓ I do. Is that how we start it? I do, yeah. Is that how we start this out, Tom? No, we start out with Everybody's on tonight, aren't All right. So in honor of my girlfriend Carly, this comes from Indianapolis, Indiana. West Side. ⁓ downtown ish. Okay. Yeah, downtownish. ⁓ fifty sixth Street, maybe the complex. You know what's funny, all the way it's a D for U.S. When I went to Pennsylvania this week, I had to fly into Newark and I had to drive from Newark to Allentown. And I intentionally looked at ⁓ my god, Newark's the worst airport in the Don't get me started. Yeah. Intercourse. There aren't. Well, okay, we could go to Roadhead, Wisconsin.
