We have another week of the NFL in the books. We have ridiculousness in college football that we're going to talk about. We have ridiculousness in the WNBA that we're probably going to talk about. Briefly. Very, very briefly because that's all the time they deserve. Hey, wherever you see us, like us and subscribe to us. You can get it where you get your podcast. Don't forget to follow us on TikTok, Insta, and Facebook. All those places, send us an email for solid beers at Gmail and from there I turn it to you. Or you or you. I don't care. Yeah, I'll start. We could go backwards. We can go backwards. Hey Brett, how was your weekend? Beep beep beep. It's all right. ⁓ Yeah. Had to put a dog down. ⁓ no. Yeah, I mean it's sixteen plus right. Time so but still it doesn't make it the process I've never been through it. Remarkably humane. Mm-hmm. Like my Guinness tapped out like probably within thirty seconds of that. Yeah. The injection thing. Yeah. So it's it's it's pretty quick. Yeah, I I hadn't been through it. I'm like, man, didn't know what to expect. And then ⁓ so when we go in there, Lay's like ask him what's going on, like, I don't know, just look at look at this thing, right? But I thought we were gonna get like, hey man, maybe there's you could do this, and we could do this. You've got four thousand dollars. Yes. And ⁓ so so I don't know. That was my weekend. Linko's yours, happy chance to be a little That's a hell why don't we start with me? Holy shit. Yeah, that's why I want to go first. Get that out of the way. So we didn't end on a negative. I mean it wasn't a negative, it was a positive. She's a hell of a dog for a a a long, long time. Yeah, it's all sixteen years is awesome. Yeah, it's awesome. And she was good for fifteen of those. Here's the Guinness. Yeah. And ⁓ so the positive, we now are spending a lot less money in peanut butter in our house, but I do not know what that connection is. Wow. Might be some to look at. That's awesome. Yeah. ⁓ Linko, what did you eat this weekend? See, this is where it screws it all up. yeah. ⁓ well we did do some hot tubbin a couple nights this week. ⁓ so you did eat something this week? Well Blocky was in there with us one one night. So we're not judging. We're not judging. That's awesome. ⁓ again, just a I mean I don't know what it is about to be the beginning of football season, but I just I just sit and watch football. I really I think it's three things. It's the weather. Weather, for sure. It's you're like Man, 'cause usually summer you're going. Right, you're doing something. Not every weekend, but there's there's something. There's stuff. You're slowing down and you're like, Is football. Football's freaking back. Yeah. Yep. Here we go. So yeah. It is America's national sport. Again, you know, T V T V outside and just kind of sat on the back patio. Old lady titties? I don't know. I haven't seen her in a little bit. I'm getting a little worried. I might might have to go knock on the door and make sure maybe they put her down. I was gonna say, did they put her down? Shit. You guys. ⁓ so anyway, yeah, just ⁓ yeah, nothing real exciting. That sucks if they did, 'cause we got a BOGO when we went. We could have saved her some money. I didn't know they handed out coupons for Tom, if we got enough time, I'd like to get back to that 'cause I I thought I thought, wow, we do this for pets but not people. Very ⁓ totally different topic, but Okay. Okay. No, not Dr. Kavorkian. No, he got in trouble for I don't know what he's talking about. Go to Canada, they do it. Yeah, it might. For people. They euthanize their pe yeah. ⁓ You can get euthanized up there. ⁓ Yeah, but it's silly. It's free medical ⁓ insurance, right? So you can do it for free, apparently. Well it does get ⁓ off their medical dole, their universal health care. Well, that's true. So there is that. Yeah. They're ⁓ taxed significantly in other areas to cover that, but they do have free medical. Okay. Well, there you go. I know that from an employee that is in my group. ⁓ Friday night you saw us up there as ⁓ we were exiting and yeah, the ⁓ local watering hole. Then Saturday went up to ⁓ my youngest son's house and his fiancee. they did a bonfire. Sat out and had a TV out back and watched football and where's the scale? Yeah. Yeah. ⁓ it's upstairs. Sorry. How are we gonna weigh him, bitch? I know, I know. We'll do it at the end. I forgot all about it. I I I had a scale up in my bedroom. We could have bought down. You didn't have to buy me that scale. So when that package came in, how did you buy you that scale? I bought us. He bought us that scale. Yeah. Okay. We're gonna lose weight, bitches. All Link's already lost his game's on. Yeah. ⁓ then suddenly he went to the Colts game. ⁓ cool. Okay. Sweet. Good one to be on. So yeah, we were down with commoner seven rows up on the fifty. Well, that's not commoners. Those aren't commoners. Yeah, it was ⁓ man, I I don't they are not g Danny Dimes is they won a game. They did win. They won. They did win. They did win. And they're in contention. They they're one game back. They're tied. What? Tied for sure. Yes, in in their division. Danny Dimes had two more turnovers in the game, right? So that makes five for In three games. Yeah. Something like that. Is that good, Tom? No. That's probably not Not generally. It doesn't work well. The defense did look better, but Houston's offense is absolute trash. So there there's a probably a trade off there. ⁓ so yeah, they won. And that's I guess. If they lost that game, ⁓ we'd be having a different conversation this week. But yeah, a good move. ⁓ I don't know. We can probably still have that conversation. Yes, saying there's a chance. ⁓ They tried to lose it. They gotta go to London they gotta go to London this weekend, so we'll see how they travel. Yeah. Play Washington. Tom, what'd you eat this weekend? I don't really remember. Whoa, whoa, whoa. I ate something. I throughout the weekend. What what did it taste like when you burped? ⁓ food. ⁓ okay. Anyhow, Yeah, so Friday night went to the to the watering hole, watched IU ⁓ win. A win's a win, right? We'll talk about that later. ⁓ I don't know if I will. Yeah, maybe. ⁓ Saturday, Sunday, just football and you know, we did something Saturday night, but I don't ⁓ I do remember now. Sorry. Okay, so it's all coming back to me now. So I had a buddy come in from out of town. ⁓ huh. ⁓ he was in from Mississippi ⁓ for a hardware convention and ⁓ so we went downtown. That that's what I wanted to talk about. Hey. You know, when you live in a city, maybe check what's going on downtown before you plan to go have dinner there. It's a big down downtown ⁓ weekend. It was brutal. On Saturday night? ⁓ yeah. Yeah, Circle City Classic. Yeah, Circle City Classic. But that's not nearly what it used to be. This hardware convention, Master P concert. There's still ⁓ that's part of the H B C U thing. Yeah. They they still do ⁓ like I guess. The Battle of the Bands. I was on field level for Battle of the Bands. Really? They're pretty good. Yeah, pretty solid. But they don't play the game. They don't play a football game anymore, do they? What? ⁓ I thought they did. I thought they played two. Yeah, I thought they didn't do that. I I never got the answer. The ⁓ afternoon into the evening was all high school games, all local high school games. I was gonna say they high school games. Because Ben Davis played down there. But it's typically an HBCU. You played an HBCU college. Correct. I thought I heard that. So maybe they play Friday night. I didn't figure that out. I might look that up. Yeah, somebody looked that up. Anyhow, if you have a chance to go to Doc Crow's to eat. It's in your email. no, I did not get free food. ⁓ However, the chicken was good. The deviled egg thing they got there is weird. And ⁓ yeah, it's deviled eggs are weird, dude. No, they put like stuff in the stuff and it's just weird. Not good. No, it's weird. It's weird. Yeah. But anyhow, so we had a good time, hung out, ⁓ went down and had some beers, watched some college football, watched that Oregon hit multiple times and can we save we'll we'll talk about that later. But yeah, it was a good time. And we hadn't seen him in a few years, so yeah, got to hang out with some old friends. Awesome. Awesome, awesome. ⁓ this Sunday ⁓ NFL. Sorry, to close the gap here, instead of its traditional HBCU matchup, it was ⁓ local high schools. But they did have ⁓ four HBCU bands that were there. ⁓ okay. And a parade they all performed. Yeah, there's there's a parade in the morning. Yep. All I know is that Master P and his No Limit soldiers were all over downtown. All right, so it's time for this weekend. Yeah. You don't want to go too far down that rabbit hole, trust me. Okay. And with that, it's time for the most popular part of the show. This weekend. Wow, there was a lot of those down ⁓ there. But we're not gonna talk about that. Okay. That takes away your first story, doesn't it? Yeah. All right, we're going with the short version. Here we go. Here we go. Nineteen sixty boy or fifty. Sorry. Nineteen fifty. Fifty sixty. The ⁓ the comic strip Peanuts with a T Peanuts ⁓ debuts. Charles Schultz. ⁓ its original run lasted until Schultz's death in two thousand. ⁓ my god. Fifty years. It's original run. Wow. Allegedly. ⁓ Peanuts also spawned several popular TV holiday specials. Snoopy. Hold on. So up till two thousand he was putting out new comic strips every week? I'm assuming. Every day. Was it daily or weekly? I th thought it was daily in the comics. It started out as a daily. I it went to the Sunday. Or daily and then transitioned to weekly. Transitioned to weekly. Yeah. When people stopped 'cause they were black and white through the week and they were color on the weekends on Sunday. They were in color. Funny papers. Anyhow, go ahead. Yeah, because you would put the ⁓ silly putty on it. Pull the print. Pull the print. Uh-huh. Yes. You would. And then have to read it backwards. ⁓ so Snoopy made his ⁓ first appearance in the third strip of the comic strip. ⁓ man. So yeah, debuted on this on the second, then the third, October second. So on October fourth, a ⁓ yeah. ⁓ Did did they euthanize Snoopy at any moment. No, he's never died. He's still alive. He's still alive. Yeah. He'll live forever. Yeah. Hopefully there's no children listed as things, but he made he made it past sixteen. So yeah. I think so. Sure. ⁓ this weekend is the Andy Griffith Show, nineteen sixty, debuts on CBS. It started on the ⁓ Danny Thomas and Sheldon Leonard created the show as an episode Of the Danny Thomas show the previous February. And that was titled Danny Meets Andy Griffith with the intention of having gas. Of spinning it off ⁓ into its own show. Wow, that's how The Simpsons started. One of best shows ever written. Watch Andy Griffith every night. That's how The Simpsons started. That's a spin-off. That's crazy. ⁓ speaking of Simpson. Also in nineteen sixty, the Flintstones debuted. So a lot of TV ⁓ crap this week. So how come Andy Griffith was in black and white and the Flintstones were in color? So the Flintstones, the first animated series on the primetime schedule, and was the most financially successful network animated series for three decades until surpassed by Scooby Did Simpsons. ⁓ so there you go. The Flintstones didn't have that many seasons. It just became home runs. Although the episodes were produced in color, the first two seasons were broadcast in black and white as ABC couldn't yet broadcast in color. No kidding. So yeah. So the first season. I've never seen a black and white flintstones episode. I'd like to see that. Do you think they ever You've never seen Betty's Black Bush? Nope. Bambleam O Black Betty. Where do you think that's on the Back Betty, Bamba Lam. You should have seen it in color, Tom. It looks good. Do you think they ever ⁓ upside down pineapple that? Between the two of ⁓ I'm sure you can find it online. ⁓ Barney was in the trip, just for sure. Yeah. Yeah. Hello, Fred. ⁓ buddy. Barney couldn't wait till Pebbles turned eighteen, I'm pretty sure. Bam bam. Yeah. He helped he helped Fred ⁓ install the pool. When she turned eighteen, he was like, hey ⁓ more TV shit that's going to see nineteen eighty. Going to ⁓ Cheers was ⁓ debuts on NBC. It was almost canceled during its first season because it ranked near the bottom of the ratings, but eventually developed into ⁓ becoming the number one sitcom. They they moved the time slot. Yep. And they were partnered right after whatever the most popular show was then at the time. Great move by ⁓ Shelley Long, by the way, to to leave that ⁓ Cheers my all time ⁓ favorite six. Good show. Good show. ⁓ this week in history also nineteen eighty-two the C D player is released. The world's first commercially released compact disc player. in Japan, it was Sony's Sony came out, sold one hundred and sixty eight. ⁓ sold four we don't care about yen, seven hundred and thirty US dollars. Motherfucker. I remember they're expensive as shit. When they first got here, they were expensive. The system that was was then ⁓ launched worldwide in the following March. So there you go. Kind of crazy. Dude, that is still lingering, by the way. That is in my nose. I can turn the fan on if I need to. Gosh. How about you just quit with the ASP? Yeah, Astroph. Whoa. Do you want my belly to be upset, Tom? And please. Finally, this weekend history, twenty twenty-five. AOL ends dial up. What? Just last year. That's fucking awesome. Just ended dial up last year. Ends its internet dial up service, which they had been offering since nineteen eighty nine. Wow. Known for their mass distribution of free discs, offering a free trial membership. At one point, at one point, fifty percent of the CDs produced worldwide had an AOL logo on them. No way. Way, dude. It's right fucking here. It's on the internet. It's gotta be true. It's gotta be real. So yeah. And that's a good thing. Some good tidbits there, Nico. Wow, that's awesome. How about that? All right. So I thought it was kind of weak this week. Yeah. That's kinda crazy. No, it's actually good. I thought it was very interesting. I like the T V stuff. There you go. I mean anytime you can work Barney into a three way. ⁓ yeah. ⁓ sure. That's good fodder. I don't think he's a very good father either. He may not be a good fodder, but he might be a good mudder. Anyhow, so what where do we want to start with this past week and you better go check. It's a little warm down. Yeah. It's all it's always it's like a little steamy. It's always thirty eight at most in Jeff's mom's all So do we want to start with the bad stuff first? Is that where we want to go? With what? College football? Yes. We can start with college football. Yeah, yeah. Okay. Okay. Linko, Brett started with that stuff ⁓ this this week. So I I think the what was it, USC and Oregon? Wow. Okay we can just start there. ⁓ so it's a little well that's the most egregious, I think. So couple different things with that. I'll disagree with that, but go ahead. Really? I don't think that's the most egregious, no. Okay. Well, so the ⁓ the hit was not good. Dante Moore, the quarterback for Oregon. He's going to slide Desmond Stevens and gets his head ripped off. Poor. Yes. Desmond Stevens. Now, for me, the hit, all of that, ⁓ okay, it it's football, right? Shit happens. My problem is the celebration after the fact. The the excessive celebration after the fact. I honestly would have been okay if he would have just been A little remote A little a little celebrated a little bit for getting a tackle, but then once he you realize the other player dude was too ⁓ you know Yeah. He's laying on the field, not in a good spot, not in a good shape, and to continue that celebration to the point where your teammates have to try to reel you in. Some of ⁓ And only some of I that I got a problem with that. And and I that behavior is just not okay. Mm, in my opinion. Mm-hmm. And I know Link has an opinion because I I feel like that kid's like the biggest douchebag in football right now, to be honest with you. I don't know. A couple of I think when you inflict I think when you inflict that much pain on somebody and then celebrate afterwards that just takes you to a different level. Takes you to a different level. The dude is concussing, he's grippy. I mean he's literally he's literally convulsive on the f yeah on the field. I mean I think that That in and of itself to show no care for another human being is is very d disheartening. Yeah, agree. ⁓ there's Link's opinion. That's it? That's all you got? Okay, what you got next? But but then no, but the next part to that is so today and we shared it amongst ourselves multiple times and I know a lot of people have seen it on social media, the clip of the announcer ⁓ the homer announcer for USC trying to justify the hit. Trying to make it sound like it was, you know, that that's on Dante Moore. That he slid head first, which he did not. And the reason his feet were in that direction was because they spun him around right ahead. Yeah. So the whole his whole encapsulation of what everybody in America saw that was watching that game. Including him. Yes, exactly. Not just everybody America, his cohorts who were also on the radio clearly saw it differently. Saw it differently than he did. That douchebag needs needs a punch in the face. Yeah, at one point. At one point he said, Well, he he being Dante Moore like ducked his head into him or something. Yes. Yes. Now I can tell you though, and I I made this comment to Brett as well. He watched the replay and was still standing still passed on it though. Won't die on that hill. Now, I can tell you, and obviously much different level. Back in the day when I worked in small market radio and we were always calling basketball games, football games, what have you. We always had somebody that was local that did the did color commentary. And they would always be on the side of the home team no matter what, right? They could do no wrong. I kind of get that angle. But once you say things, my problem is he never walked it back. And he could have, but he was like, I am sticking with this story no matter how stupid I appear right now. I'm not gonna backtrack on what I feel. That's where it gets silly to me. And I mean, everybody's watching it. America is watching the football game. The guys in the st in In the booth with him, even trying to talk him out of what he is saying, he still sticks with it. That guy's an idiot. There no two ways about it. Yep. And if you're listening to that, you're like, ⁓ maybe this was a bad call question call, right? So yeah, why why did Desmond you're listening to the radio broadcast? Why did Desmond just get ⁓ kicked out of the game? Why did he just get ejected? Because from what I just heard, he didn't do anything wrong. Exactly. Everybody hates USC. This sucks. Yeah. That's the people listening to the radio broadcast. That's what they got. To watch the replay and and still not go, ⁓ okay. Yeah. I I I was wrong or now that we looked at it, yeah, that that that was worthy of what the the penalty was. That's just ridiculous, man. Like like you said, Tom, it was a celebrating afterwards. Yes. Once once you realize the severity of the injury right and and still kind of keep going fist bumping and high fiving and smiling and doing your blah blah blah and doing your thing, whatever you do. I mean that and then okay, okay, fine. Came out with an apology. ⁓ he did. I didn't Yeah. I re I read it to I read a quote. I don't know if I don't know I'm sorry I couldn't celebrate longer. I don't know if he videoed anything, but he did come out with an apology basically I saying everything exactly right. Which leads me to believe because of I saw it with my own eyes, leads me to believe somebody else wrote it for him. Of course. He maybe signed the bottom of the paper and went okay, you know, there but you're gonna have to do a lot more than that after your display on Saturday. ⁓ absolutely. After you did what you did. Yeah. J just an apology doesn't work. Doesn't work for me. Yeah. Maybe it does for other people, but just for me, that ain't enough. You're gonna have and ⁓ what coach ⁓ whatever the hell his name was, came out ⁓ for US. Riley Riley. Riley. He came out and basically is like, Yeah, you know, I think he said something about his character and this and that and this. And I'm like he's like, that's not what our what our team's about. That's not what he's about. Well sure it is. And and I'm like, well it's it's not what you just well it's not what he just showed me. With my own eyes. You know, we've all raised kids, right? So your words mean less than your actions. I s a coach has to run on the field And get in that dude's ass right there. Right there. For for two reasons. One, because it's the right thing to do, because you're acting a fool. Yeah. Two, because people need to see that publicly. Yes. That that's not who we are. Yes. DC needs to run out there, the head coach needs to somebody has to need to be in that kid's face. But r Riley's in deep shit at at USC. He he's if if he loses one or two more games this season, they're probably gonna run his ass out on a blue. So I guess the first game they played was against ⁓ San Diego State or Fresno State or somebody like that. They play in the Coliseum. Yeah, one of the states. The the Los Angeles Coliseum, which holds ninety some odd thousand people. There were maybe fifteen thousand people in that stadium for their home opener four weeks ago. They blamed it on the heat and Los Angeles. Did you take notes? No, I got some notes here. So they blamed it on the heat in Los Angeles. No, I looked I looked something up to them. ⁓ So I'm trying to follow. I knew that they knew I gotcha. I knew that Dan Lanning had said something post game. He's the Oregon head coach about USC. This is the third time that he's beat USC at USC. So almost exact same scores. Yeah. Very odd. At the end of the game, of course, his quarterback is out. There's speculation that and he was kind of a Heisman, not kind of a Heisman Hope. He was a Heisman Hope. Hopeful runner. Yeah. Yeah. Going into the season. Now there's question as to whether he's gonna finish the season to to risk injury and and lose may potentially millions in the in the NFL. So at the end of the press conference, Lanning sent a direct message to high school recruits in Southern California pointing out the team's dominant record against the Trojans. Lanning said three wins against these guys. I guess if you're interested in winning football games and you're from this area, you should go to Oregon if you want. If you want to stay here and go to Chris Brown concerts. Wow. Just a direct, just a direct shot at him. Right. I mean, that's just I mean, the hit is one thing. Like you said, it's football. It's it's a bang bang, it's a bang bang play. There's questions as to whether ⁓ Dante Moore slid too late. Yep. And that and if the defender's already in his position to hit the guy, okay, that's football. I get I get a lot of that. But What happened at the end of it? Yes. He plowed him though. He plowed. Without a doubt. He plowed. Without a doubt. Is is the rule gonna change? I think as far as what quarterback sliding. I think the celebration rule needs to be the problem. It's the problem. Number one. So secondly, ⁓ the sliding rule. What do you mean? How do you how do you gonna change it? W what rule? ⁓ so okay, they've changed rules before. I mean they've changed rules. Okay, you can't Which which part of the rule though are you talking? I think what I'm talking about is and I've always hated this. I've d so the thing that gets me is a couple different things. Sorry. The thing that gets me this part really has you mixed up. Is when the quarterback goes to slide and there's a guy that dives straight at him about a foot and a half off the ground and goes, If you don't get your entire body down on the ground, you're gonna make it including your head, I'm going to clock the shit out of you. Yep. Now. Second part of that is I I get ⁓ people like ⁓ friggin' ⁓ who'd we talk about last week? ⁓ Kansas City Mahomer. Mahomer. Mahomes. Hey, I'm gonna slide. Oop, no, I'm not. I'm gonna get two extra yards because I just faked you and and you I acted like I was gonna slide but I didn't and you stopped. Yeah and you didn't tackle me, so I'm gonna keep on running. Yeah. ⁓ no. And in the in the long term, he just ruined it for everybody. He he is part of the reason. K Kenny Pickett at Pittsburgh University was the most egregious that that did that. He faked a slide. Right. And and that and that and I that then is what leads, I think, defenders to go, okay, you better slide. Well, because if not I'm gonna get you. And I think that but that's how they're coached too. You play through the players. You play through the whistle. You gotta play through the whistle. You gotta play play it till it's done. And there is multiple hits that I see college and pro both That because of the speed of the game, once you're committed to making that move, you eventually hit a point where you can't stop. You physically cannot you physically cannot stop your body because of the way the angle and everything else. Sometimes guessing how that's gonna play out. And I don't think anybody hits with the intention of getting the penalty, but I guarantee you a lot of them are hitting with the intention of Knocking the guy out of the game. Here's a question. Knocking the guy out of the game. Knocking the game out of the game. Absolutely. I've got zero problem with that. Here's a legit here's here's a very good question, though, to make you think about it. Why is Desmond Stevens leading with his helmet and going that low to begin with? Why why why is he going down on a slide? Why is he trying to tackle let's just say he's trying to knock him out of the game? Let's just say he started before. What's his face started sliding? Sliding. Let's let's just say that. Yeah. So what so what is he trying to do? Didn't he dive headfirst? He shoulder headfirst. He did. Yeah. That's my point. The quarterback. No. Shut up. No. So if if for that would have been helmet to helmet contact, right? Said shut up. If if in fact Actually if he would have slid head first, he would have missed him. If in fact Dante Moore was not sliding. Yeah. Why is Desmond going that low to begin with? You can't hit him high. No, he's not good. No, but if he's sliding, you've got no reason to say So my my point is that's not how you tackle anybody. Nobody tackles somebody by going at ⁓ halfway up their shin. Yeah. Nobody does that. With their head first, you don't go tackle a quarterback at their shin that low, Jeff. You're trying to wrap somebody up, right? Yeah. Yeah. So he knows he's going to the ground. He knows he's sliding. That's my point with Desmond Stevens. No why why is he going that low to begin with? He's not up. He didn't dive over him and go, ⁓ man, I missed him because I was I was trying to hit him right in the midsection. Right. No. If he's trying to hit him in the midsection, he misses his head completely. Loads his shoulder and forearm up as well when he follows through. Yep. If he's that low, he knows Dante Moore is going Down to the ground. That's why he's going that low and he's going d if you don't get all the way to the ground, I am going to clock you. Yeah. And that's exactly what happened in this situation. Yeah. So that's what I'm saying is is the rule going to change because at some point you you I we have rules to protect quarterbacks anyway. Yeah. I mean But once they're outside of the pocket, a lot of I know they're a runner. Some of it changes. But not not always. I think your point's very valid as as some of these quarterbacks have have tricked the system a little bit. Ooh, I'm going to step out of bounds. ⁓ just kidding. I'm going to cut in cut inside as you let up because you can't hit me out of bounds and gain an extra ten yards. And that's what the proliferation of the running. That's a very good point. Who was it just got their their ass kicked just ⁓ was that Monday night? Yeah. Yeah. I was gonna go there. His toe his toe barely, barely, barely hit Jalen Madek hurts. Yeah. And I've I've seen that on a running back or a wide receiver and no flag, 'cause they're like, Well, technically you weren't out of bounds. It wasn't out of bounds. It was a quarterback. I thought that was I understood. That's what I'm saying. They protect a quarterback. What's the D B supposed to do there? Let just let him go get his yards that he needs to get the first down. I agree. You go whack the shit out of that center. And he did. Yeah. And he did. And it looked like it was a clean hit. It looked so bad because he he got him. I mean, Mahomes this week. I don't know if you saw that. I thought it was a horrible call. It was terrible. Mahomes was even worse. He gets stuck by a textbook tackle. He was he was in the throwing motion and gets stuck. The dude takes him to the ground. His arms, because you can't put your weight on the quarterback. Yeah. His arms are at his side. So he's not trying to pound him into the ground. His natural motion took him there. Penalty. I mean ev let's just put hence my hence my question is are they going to change the rule? Put flags on the wh that's what I'm saying. Put flags. Put flags on the quarterbacks. And when you would and I I'm being facetious when I say that, but also in the same breath, if you don't want the fucking quarterback to get h hit and hurt, put a flag on him, you pull the flag, plays dead. Because you're that was a Two absolute clean shots. The one on ⁓ what's his name at Philadelphia and the one on ⁓ Mahomes. It was a it was a very clean shot. J Jalen Hurts. Yeah, yeah. Yes. And they call penalties. What's a D B what's a defensive player supposed to do? Yeah. Yeah, I I really it it's for me it's the celebration piece afterwards. That that that is I've got an issue with that's multiple things. So that that'll transition me to what I thought was the most egregious thing of the weekend. Taint smell. I I'm not I'm not saying that hit I I approve of that at any level. Right. But if that hit happens and you're like, ⁓ shit, dude's hurt, I have a completely different opinion of what happened. Yeah. The Texas Yep. Texas dude sacks the quarterback. Yep. Unzips his pants. Acts like he is. Sorry. Simulates as the referee said. Simulates. Yes. Simulating urinating. Using a bathroom, wasn't it? Yeah, I think it was using a using the restroom. Simulating using the restroom. That's everything called before on the field. He's gonna be in this weekend. And you that's one of the few games I I saw enough of live. I'm like, that was in the Texas Tennessee game, by the way. I immediately went to What in the fuck is going on with coaching? I guess I always defer to that. Kids are gonna do what they want to do. ⁓ huh. And I get these kids now are making millions of dollars. But I I tell you what's crossing a line. Absolutely crossing a line. Unbelievably cross the line. And I I wish it would have cost again. It it came close because they were at a fourth and like twenty nine after that sack on sport sport and they Tennessee had not moved the ball at all up to this point. After that sack, Tennessee drives right down the field, gets a touchdown because that penalty. Right. And you're like again, I go to in coaching mode. There's two things. A, this that's not who we are. Correct. Or or is it? Because something happens later in the game that might confirm that might be who we are. That might be. And B, you just kind of fucked the team. Yeah. We were in total control of this game and And I I don't know, man, the lack of discipline in college athletics And it's it's holy shit. The thing that got me about that, now now that you brought it up and I it just hit me, when they threw the flag, what's the first thing the dude did? Held his arms up like what the fuck did I do? What I did. What what did I do? I'm like, Are you g are you kidding me? That's a problem. You have to question why you got a flag thrown at me? That's a problem. I didn't even know what the flag was for. ⁓ I knew what it was for what it was for right away. I didn't either. I did. I saw it. I and I was like, wait, did he just ⁓ yeah, that is what he did. And I was like, Well how how are they gonna how are they gonna explain this? And they sure as hell they explained it. Now the the one thing I noticed about that play that's the most disgusting. Yeah. I like Reese. I come on. No, I'm okay with that. I'm I was good with it. Why not? What's that's what I'm I'm okay with saying all that, but because they've got to come up with the words to describe what they're what they see without being too The only other thing I did notice about that though is dude had to use two hands to take a whiz. I was like ⁓ hey, good for Chris Jones good for you, by the way. Chris Jones in is that his name to defensive lineman. That's a defensive lineman for Kansas City. I think he needed Three hands. Nancy's boyfriend. I think his roommate had to help him take a whiz. ⁓ Well, that's Arkeesian. This this is a problem. Is it though, Tom? He he so what he basically said was and I'm not paraphrasing, I'm just sh I'll shorten it up a little bit. He said I think that's what paraphrases you're exactly paraphrasing. Yeah. He said something to me. But you also don't have note. This is a this is a part of society. This is a societal issue. And is it? I sure is. Is it? Well, sure. I think it is. I'm putting that on my feed. Look at me. Look at me. I'm getting a million hits. Look at me, look at me. I get that. I mean it everybody I get the statement. But don't make that statement. No. As a coach, you can't say that because it looks like you don't control your locker room. Does he? Obviously he does he does because in that same game what else happened? ⁓ the taint. I don't even know what this move would be called, but your boy scores what seems to be the ceiling touch or is that early? I think it was after the pissing on the the he Is is Sark calling in to talk about this? That'd be awesome. See. So he's the ⁓ the dude like ⁓ Hinges his leg out like he's doing a a hip flexor stretch. Right. Rubs his hand on his under his balls. On his tainted balls, and then comes up and sniffs it and passes. And then passes out. And I I don't know how like I saw this celebration, I'm like, did that dude just grab his junk? I don't know how the one gets flagged but not the other grab. A lot of questions there. I don't know what that is. What does that mean? ⁓ second of all. He's getting hits on I think he ate asparagus or something. Is he getting dates not really bad? If he's is is he getting dates with a stinky tank? I well I I I that time I don't know about scored a touchdown in that that game. We pre-game a little bit up at the local watering hole. We talked about it and I was thinking about that on the way home. This is all about hits for these kids. It's all about it's all about look at me, look at me. It you know, and we could we can we can bleed that into the WNBA conversation we may or may not have it's kinda scary to money though at some point. Sure, and it's kinda scary to me that that behavior is what's celebrated. You know, and I that's the thing that bothers me the most is that that kind of behavior is what Yep. I don't know that it's celebrated, but it gets it's it's tolerated. It's tolerated and then it perpetuates ⁓ an attitude of this kind of behavior is okay. Yeah. And once you do that and and the common people see it, okay, the common people normal everyday people like you and me that are making a million dollars per playing college football. Okay. I just asked and kids that are in high school and kids that are what if we make a million on a podcast? Yes. Same thing. That ain't that ain't happening either. ⁓ we've got a thousand more years to live, Tom. Well, not if you don't bring that scale down here. ⁓ but the reality is is that that perpetuates that myth that this behavior is acceptable behavior in public. And there's already enough things with kids that just the way you worried about the kids? Well, I've always been worried about the kids because the reality is that go just goes through society. And then when they do get in the real world and shit doesn't go their way and things go sideways and they're they have those behaviors as their model, then they're like, Well, how come it's not okay? And they don't they don't expect to have consequences. And that's that's perpetuates problems. Don't they see this every day for hours a day on social media? Well if you let ⁓ yeah. Yeah. I I don't disagree with that. But I'm just telling you, that's what happens. Here's the difference. Two, three week weeks ago, I don't I don't know if I talked to you about this or not. ⁓ Notre Dame, offensive captain Aeneas Williams, their running back, I think it's two weekends ago, two two games ago, scored a touchdown, and him and a couple linemen and a couple other players, like there's there's like four or five of them, got in a little circle and did a did a dance, choreographed dance in the end zone. Flag comes up. ⁓ excessive celebration, whatever, whatever. Assess on the kickoff. Freeman pretty happy, probably. Dude. Dude walks over sidelines and Freeman is in his ear. Damn near probably killed him, right? Very, very much upset. That's the difference. And I'm like, ⁓ shit, they ain't celebrating again ever. Now, does that mean Freeman doesn't have the locker room? I who knows? Don't know the answer to that because I'm not there. But what that means is Saw it with my own eyes on the sidelines. They where Coach got in his ass just for dancing and celebrating and getting a penalty. And he and that goes a long way. The next game he didn't start the game, and I don't think he played until it was either the start of the second quarter or start of the third quarter. So Aeneas Williams did not play. So that is a little bit different than the stories we've we've been talking about a little bit. But that's previously not a little bit, that's completely different. But that's that's a that's different coaching styles. That's different My my point being is it's it's everywhere. The social media, the the whole ass I get it, that's why they're doing it. I get it. There it okay, you you A, you had a coach that seems like he tolerates it and defends it, and then B, you've got that's the front Freeman up there I think if that says we're not putting up with this bullshit. If if you have that clip and then you see consequences for that behavior, I think that plays different than if you see that clip and then the coach goes on national television and justifies it. I think it just plays different. And Brett didn't want to bring this up because it makes you sound like a homer, but it was similar to the IU game at the end of the game when Hoover ran in for the touchdown and was pointing at the end zone in the postgame conference. Signetti was not happy about that that behavi and that's minor compared to any of this that we're talking about. But he's like, That's not who we are. Right? We come out, we play the game, we we do well, and we we do our jobs. And you know, and that's that's the mindset. And those mindsets obviously are different across all those different college teams. And even going back to the Colorado game when they were at wherever they were a couple of weeks ago and they were or making fun of the state Northwestern. Yeah. And then Dion had consequences for the team afterwards. I think you just have different coaches with different perspectives of that. And I think the ones that dismiss it are the ones that are kind of missing the message. But even going back to Dion and what happened in Colorado, he said last year I tolerated that. So what happened last week or the week before, they got their ass beat at Northwestern Colorado did. Players were walking in front of him into the tunnel, into the locker room, and two of the players were laugh they were laughing and joking after getting their asses beat. Yeah. Dion got rid of him. Yeah. He got he kicked their asses off the team. And he said, Last year, I didn't do it. I saw it happening and I and and I lost control. He said, I'm not losing control this year. So that's a coach adjusting, learning. Yep. You know. Yeah. So yeah. I I just think it it it starts with the coach. I I said it earlier. ⁓ without a doubt, there's two reasons you do it. Right. You got that public thing and and the second really most important reason, ⁓ you could argue. You can hurt the team. Like Notre Dame, that so they're getting a 15 yard penalty now on a kickoff. Yep. Which maybe gives up field position. Yep. And if you want to go to the ⁓ Baltimore Dallas football game this weekend, ⁓ that field position might mean a hell of a matter. Especially when you got a guy with a 64 yard leg. Yeah. Yeah. So did you get another terrible coaching position? Did you see the Jacksonville kicker? No. Barely ⁓ he missed a 70 year old. Seventy yard field goal. Really? ⁓ wow. Because he pushed it wide. So he wasn't short. Wasn't short. He was wide. He just moved. He was all up in there. He just pushed So what's the longest? Is it sixty eight? Sixty eight. Sixty eight and sixty eight. These kickers. ⁓ it's nuts. What something has changed in the last five years where the expect if you could hit a fifty three yard field goal, fifty five consistently, you're like you're like you're the top of the Vinateri's max was probably fifty-four, fifty-five, somewhere. I bet his career long was probably that. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Even yeah, especially towards the end of his career. I mean, he was he was money. He was accurate as all the hell up to a point. What the hell did Schrader hit to win the game on Sunday? Fifty three, but he also hit a fifty seven or fifty eight injury. With allegedly a groin injury. Groin kept talking about. And the kicker from Baltimore, Thank God they didn't try a seventy yard field goal in that game, because I didn't want to see that happen. I only saw the last minute, but whatever. I'm like, these kickers I mean, the expectation is that you can hit from sixty. So what something's Vinateri's career long was fifty seven. Okay. That's not in today's standard. That's No. That you better be able to hit a fifty seven well that's in today's standard that's a that's a minimum. Yeah. You better be very consistent from fifty five. The fifty five in. So something has changed though, right? I mean, I don't think you could train I I did the ball did the ball change? Because it's a different football for kicks and punts than it is. The actual rules change so you can't manipulate the ball as much as you used to be able to do. Thank you. Yeah, but there's New England Patriots. You can't scuff it up and there's kicking balls and there's punting balls. There's K balls for that reason. Yeah. Like quarterbacks, they season the ball, they put them in drivers and bounce machine. Yeah, yeah. To get them to how they like them. Sure, sure. In kicking, you're not supposed to really be able to do as much as you used to do. But yeah, I d I don't know if like the I think the K balls have j a few more pounds of pressure in them. ⁓ like something different about it. I think that's the difference is there there's which makes them a little harder so then they can kick them farther or whatever. I mean but when did that start? I d I don't know the answer to that. But I think that's that's the difference. It seems like I mean these guys are now drilling sixty yarders just I mean look nutritious it's in all sports it's it is interesting that is true when you look at the the all time high ⁓ field goals in the NFL like sixty eight yards Cam Little, sixty seven yards Cam Little. So those are both ⁓ last year. Is that the Jacksonville kicker? Yeah, he's the one that pushed the seventy yarder, right. Justin Tucker only one time sixty six. Yep. Brandon Aubrey one time sixty five. Chase McLaughlin one time at sixty five. Sixty four there's only two. Brandon Aubrey, Matt Prater. And then when you get to sixty three there's a forty year gap between Dempsey and what has happened in the last five years. Dempsey was sixty three. Sixty two, sixty three. So with half a foot. Yeah. Imagine if he put more than just the tip into that ball. But what's interesting is when you get to sixty three, there's like one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, there's eight guys when you get to sixty two. Yeah. I mean, when you get to sixty two, there's like ten guys. Got it. So you know and as you go but but as you get to that sixty mark, this is it's like sixty three is is the average. Yeah. You know, it's like the normal. Almost four minute mile-ish. Yeah. Yeah. I mean it's that's that's a thing though. I mean over time was not broken that long ago. Yeah, correct. It wasn't that long. Yeah, it really wasn't. It didn't last I mean I'd ten, fifteen. I I was going fifteen, but yeah. Yeah. I would say twelve. And now we now people are are damn near hit. It's like no big deal. Yeah. Yeah. It's crazy. I mean I I it's not nutrition, it's but maybe it's science. Maybe it's ⁓ hey, we we n we now know How a kicker needs to work out and what muscles they need. And I've got a specific guy who's gonna train me all the entire off season and I'm gonna I'm gonna be stronger. And they're kicking. I mean obviously kicking camps and all that. I mean, yeah, so it's it's just like anything else. I think there always has been that, but I do think I think the technology, the the knowledge, the the mechanics of it, the the computer stuff ⁓ that can analyze it. Yeah. So I heard a very wild stat this week on one of the sports talk radio shows that listened to. So Joe Namath, right? Joe Willie. I've heard of him. Yeah. Susie Colbert, Can I Kiss You? That was twenty some odd years ago. Tw only twenty? Joe Willie. Joe Willie Namath played football in Alabama. Very decorated, very celebrated football player. He quarterback went and played for the New York Jets. He was Broadway Joe there. Wore of mink coat. Mink coat. Gary was the talk of the town. He did pantyhose commercials. Remember when he did the legs, pantyhose more fur fur coats? Yes. Yeah. Wore fur coats. Before you go too much further, according to to my father, he rode a on a train and was in the same car as Joe Willie. Joe Willie. Joe Willie name. Was he wearing a mink coat with pantyhose? Maybe. I don't know. One of the nicest guys. I think he did Monday night for some time in the eighty. I mean he's he's he's football. He's Mr. Football. I want to kiss you. Yes. He's the one that he was the like ⁓ what's the what's the tr he he was ⁓ stated as the first one to ever call his shot. They were playing the Baltimore Colts in the Super Bowl. They were heavy, heavy underdogs. Seventy two, three, four, somewhere in there. Early seventy. And he he said, We are going to win this game. Even though they're big, they're big underdogs. They're huge underdogs. And they did win that game. So the the mystique of Joe Willie just kept growing. Here's a stat that I this astounded me when I heard it. So he played in the league for 140 games. Back then they played 14 games, so 10 years. He had A hundred and seventy three touchdown passes in his career. How many interceptions did he have? Well, I I'm I'm going a lot. I'm going ⁓ fifty nine. I'll go hang on, what'd you say? Ten years? Yeah, Hundred and seventy three touchdowns. ⁓ I'm in his career. I which is nothing to do. I'm changing that to eighty nine. Okay. Yeah, I'm going a hundred. Stinko? I I'm going like Two twelve. You're you win. It's two hundred and twenty interceptions. I was I was gonna seventy three touchdown passes and two hundred and twenty interceptions, and the son of a bitch is in the hall of fame. Fourteen games a season twenty. He threw a pick and a half a game. ⁓ Yes. Wow. Every game somebody's picking that ball. That's two ten. A pick and a half is two ten. Wow. When I heard that stat on a show I was listening to, I go, that can't be right. Th these guys have got to have that screwed up. I went online. It's it's absolutely right. ⁓ Bradshaw has some similar numbers. Maybe maybe maybe not not great stats, but we're like, yeah, he's still won four Super Bowls. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I differ time. Totally different time. Different game. The pass at the obviously the four pass had been around for a while, but defenses were so much better back then. Yeah. Now I mean if you if you throw a hundred and seventy three touchdowns in four seasons, you can't Yeah, that's pretty still pretty okay. Six seasons. ⁓ yeah, you're just mad. Because if you don't throw thirty-five, forty touchdowns in a season in in today's era, you're playing seventeen games, but right. Well, here you go. Here's here's a comparison. ⁓ What about Monday night football? ⁓ Do you boys watch ⁓ watch the Bears destroyed destroy the Eagles? I watched about two quarters. If I if I'm a skin if I'm an Eagles fan, I'm a bare if I'm an Eagles player or on their coaching staff, I am super embarrassed. I don't know what the spread was for that game, but I guarantee Chicago was the underdog one. Yeah. ⁓ I d I said I was gonna say I guess. So Chicago was starting their third string quarterback. Third string quarterback who hadn't played in he ⁓ over a thousand days. A thousand days. He hadn't started or played or thrown a petition or something like that. Almost as many days since the last Colts win. Yeah. So dude, ⁓ they they threw up do you see the stats they threw up on Keenum? So ⁓ they compared his collegiate ⁓ career. ⁓ five five years. Five years in college, fourteen years in the pros. Still holds records. Completions over fifteen hundred in college, only fourteen hundred in the pros. ⁓ passing yards over nineteen thousand in college in five years, fifteen thousand in the pros, and passing touchdowns, you said what he had a hundred and seventy three? Yes. In five years seasons in college, 155 touchdown passes at ⁓ what do you play? Houston? Houston, Houston. And back then they didn't go to the like seven different schools in five years. So yeah. ⁓ passing touch, so 155 in college, eighty in the pros. Yeah. Yeah. Yep. Crazy. I think one year and a look up his single season stat, I think it's Well in in the the last three I mentioned, not not the number of years, but completions, passing yards, and passing touchdowns. He still curly holds the college records. Yeah, correct. Those are records in college that he still holds. I think one year he threw forty eight touchdowns and five interceptions in college. And that was twenty eleven and wasn't wasn't a Heisman candidate. So how how's that dude not played? Was he a candidate? I didn't think he was. In the NFL. ⁓ it's like I said, it we we talked about the previous pregame. So you get drafted to a shitty team. I'm sure he was a top, I'm gonna guess a top ten. He had to. Let's just go top ten. Where was he drafted? Yeah. Mr. Google. let's say let's say he was top ten. You go to a shitty team and you play behind a shitty offensive line, you get the shit kicked out of you. It's kind of like David Carr. David Carr probably has not that good of stats coming because I think he went to Houston also, University of Houston. Similar stats. And are you kidding me? Case Keenum. Are you seeing the same thing? Went undrafted. Yeah. in the twenty twelve NFL. That's what I that's correct. That's what I was just looking at. I I I I was actually starting to go to a second source to make sure that's true. In two thousand eight he was ranked first in nationally in total offense, second in total passing yeah. Sorry, I completely cut you there. So that's so then what was so then what was the reason he didn't he didn't go twenty twelve undrafted. Yeah. There had to be reason. I don't know what the reason was maybe if he went to ⁓ who knows yeah ⁓ here here we go here's the full story ⁓ he got into an altercation with Asia Wilson at a fever game. Okay. He stood up and pointed at her? Did he throw a green dildo on the court? He did after he inserted it. It was Christmas season, so he threw a green one and a red one. I think that's what makes it a felony is the insertion. Do we want to talk about that? What? Insertion. Asia Wilson thing. I don't know anything about it. I'll talk about I think it's ridiculous, man. Yeah, he was signed as a undrafted free agent for Houston. That's crazy. In twenty twelve, threw for seventeen hundred yards, nine touchdowns, and the eight games he started for the Texans in twenty thirteen. And then he was waived ⁓ prior to the twenty fourteen season and signed to the Saint Louis Rams practice squad. Yeah, I'm yeah. Yeah, but there's no there doesn't there's no clearing thing. Nothing that jumps out that says why he didn't Drunk driving thing, like a c all of that shit. I don't know how he doesn't go somewhere. I mean I tell you this, the two quarters I watched ⁓ the other night, ⁓ wow. He kicked their ass. I'm like, what what's he third string? Yeah. Well 'cause after seeing that. But 'cause he's thirty whatever he's So here's what's gonna happen. I I this is what I'm predicting. Next week after ⁓ I don't know who they play next week. I I looked it up and I can't remember. Menace. They're they're gonna they got they're gonna watch tape on him. He's gonna get destroyed next week. He's gonna go. He might not start because he's clear he's now back. He's gonna clear yeah, allegedly. Yeah. But still one game, Monday night football, the guy goes out there and absolutely in front of his kids. That's a that's a big thing. He was a he was very emotional 'cause he's like my kids have never really seen me play in fourteen years. They haven't seen me play. That's and his kids look like they were that is I don't know, four and five, four and six years old or something like that. Yeah, he ⁓ he was a he was super, super emotional and just genuine. And I'm like, Why why have have I completely forgot about Case Keenum. Yeah. And then I looked him up on and they showed that stat and I was like, Are you freaking kidding me? Even after fourteen years, dude still owns after all like passing has exploded in the last ten or fifteen years and and especially in college. I mean some of those c think of Hawaii, think of the like the whatever the hell conference they're in. ⁓ some of those schools, they barely even run the ball. Correct. And how are you telling me there's not another quarterback who hasn't surpassed him In passing yards or touchdowns. So he said when he was at Houston, I can't remember who he said his head coach was, but his offensive coordinator was ⁓ Cliff Queensbury, who's been around a little bit. Offense, you know, they're playing in the Armed Forces bowl, he said, in this interview against Air Force or somebody. A bowl game, his senior year. First half, he throws three interceptions and zero touchdowns. They're getting beat. Goes into halftime, expects to get his ass chewed. Kingsbury comes over to him and goes, Hey, look, he goes, We're gonna continue throwing this football. He goes, I don't I don't give a shit what happens. We're gonna chuck this football all around the football field. Doesn't matter what happens, we're gonna throw the football. And and the guy interviewed him and goes, Well, what happened? He goes, I threw three more interceptions. That's hilarious. Shoot shooter, shoot, and throwers throw. Yeah. But he said it it you could hear in in in that interview, he was a kid in a candy store. I mean he was he The the first question was, How sore are you? He goes, I could barely move. He goes, I'm in my I'm in the the medical room right now, getting massaged and getting getting worked out and and he goes, It's just yeah. He said, But it was worth every ⁓ and he mentioned his kids. He goes, Yeah, having my family there, my kids there. He said, We held ⁓ out of school. They they went in late as we were up late last night, celebrating a little bit and w watching rewatching the game. Pre game pregame, he was all about the family being there. I mean, it was good to see because it was it it was we need more that. It wasn't it wasn't that douchebag attitude. Yeah. He w in the pregame interview, he was just like laid back, he was relaxed. He's like, you know what? This is this is awesome. I've got a kid that's never seen me play football. Yeah. So I get a I get to do that. I got my family here. They're in the stands and Yep. We're just gonna have fun. So he gets interviewed pregame by Laura Rutledge, the S PN girl. Yeah d sideline reporter. She comes over to him and goes, ⁓ so hey, what's at six micro hey, what's it like to not play in a football game and now you're here on Monday night in a thousand eleven hundred days or whatever? And he's like, Well, thanks, Laura, for reminding me I know exactly how long it's been since I haven't played it. Yeah, it was just funny. So the WNBA stepped on her dick again this week. I don't either. Did you see Ijah Wilson upset playing the Pacer or the Pacers the Fever? ⁓ she could start for the Pacers. Yeah, probably. No, she couldn't. She's a big man. Yeah. Anyhow, ⁓ so Blake and Fowl. ⁓ fan hard to tell exactly. Stands up two to three years back at the at the end of the court. ⁓ points at her. Like Sophie Cunningham. Like Sophie Cunningham, but after a blatant hard foul on Sophie Cunningham that sent her ass on the floor. Awesome. Yes. Yeah. And then Aja's in the in the stands getting after the fan. Ron ⁓ Ron ⁓ She she walks ⁓ at least I think he's the third run. Ron Art is my guess. Ron Artest style? It it's under It's under under the basket so she doesn't have to climb up the stairs. Yeah. She war level. She walks to the dude. Yeah, she walks to the dude. Points at him, says, Don't you point your finger at me and then security had to come in and yeah, it was it was by that time the ace pla the aces players and coaches were pulling her out and then she's sitting there running her mouth at this guy. All he did was stand up and point point and say, that's that fellow's on you. Yes. Is all he says. Now so D does he get kicked out of the arena or anything? He did, but he got to come back. But then he got to come back. That's after it's absolute fucking bullshit. Absolute fucking bullshit. So in and what doesn't bother me 'cause I could give almost two shits about the WNBA now. Culture. But I I didn't watch the game last night. It overshadowed how well the fever played. What's her Caitlyn? Twenty seven and fifteen to sixteen. Even though she got the shit beat out of her. Only five turnovers. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's yeah. But it just and then in the post game conference, Tom, yeah. Ajah Wilson lost her mind and said, You cannot be standing up and coming at me and pointing at me and out of the stands and blah this guy literally took ⁓ how did she spell coming? Took a half a step and then pointed at her. ⁓ He was coming at me and he was pointing at me and you know, and there was profanity. Whatever. It was stupid. Absolutely. You know what? She is the face, she's one the most valuable player of the last year. Why does that guy matter to you? Yeah. Turn around and walk away. Let it let it all play out. Let it all just play. They're just fans. It's not A personal attack to you. He's pointing because you fouled that girl and put her on the floor. There's no physical threat. No, there was no way for him to get to her to touch her or do anything else. She went to him. Yes. She went to him. Come on. Come on. Bitch, just bitch, turn around and walk away. That's all you gotta do. So she did get a technical. I think she got kicked out of the game. Should have. think and somebody can Google this by WNBA rule if a player goes in the stands they cannot play the next game. Right. If if if the rule is the same as the the NBA like any of us know WNBA rules. Well honestly that should be a rule in any league. Any professional league. Come on. I mean look look what they did to our test I mean now our test was Once you let fans get that close to the action, they are going to react what to what happens. And if you as a professional cannot ignore that and just go do what you do, you're the one that is broken, not the fan. They are a fan of that team. Just be glad you weren't in Chicago or Philly. You're in Philadelphia playing and that shit happened. Right. You know how many fans be pointing at you? Yeah. And throwing snowballs at Santa at the same time? So and I didn't know this, Jeff enlightened me on this apparently during the broadcast. It's probably a lie. It was brought up that the yeah, that kind of stuff happens in Indiana. Not even knowing the announcers f on the national feed, national TV feed, didn't even know what happened. They they knew that there was a conflict down there in in at the end line. And I th I think it was Candace Parker. Don't don't hold me to that, I might be wrong. But she said, Yeah, this has happened several times at fever games at home. And and I I did see a social media clip today that showed the incident and then somebody else has a podcast nobody listens to probably is like ⁓ black woman with the podcast. Like as a black woman i w which kinda weird 'cause obvious. I can see it, right? I never I never start any statement, I don't think. Yeah. But like as a I'm a white man. As a white dwarf. I think I start stuff that way. You should. Elf would be a Dwarf. Horrible movie, Jeff. Don't watch it. Don't watch it. It's not funny at all. I sure said munchkin would have been better, but and ⁓ she also said she's like, and this is happens routinely, I think that was her word, in ⁓ Indiana home games. Like, man, not we got some racists that live here. Sure. I I get it. There are racist people in every state. You got racists everywhere. And and by the way, your skin color doesn't ⁓ dictate that you can be racist or you can't be. Because I know plenty of people that say I I'm I'm of this race, I can't be racist. And like that that's not how that works. It's not really how that works. But name name me one time and and at Bandcamp. We've talked about this a couple of times with all the cameras. With everybody that's got cameras. Name me one time where a racial slur has been screamed at an opposing player And in in this I don't know. In this city, you you can't find it. I don't I don't know. I I honestly don't know. If that clip was out there of a person screaming a racial slur at a WM NBA player, it'd be everywhere. If somebody sitting next to you drops the F bomb followed by the N bomb and somebody, like I'd be like I'd be offended. Whoa. Yeah. I would be offended. What in the fuck is going on here, right? Yeah. Yeah. That's not what this is. And check or something. It's okay to be a fan of a team. It's and you're going to get emotional at live games. You just do. Hell, I get emotional sitting on my couch watching the Colts play. Cry? I don't cry. I just get mad and drink, but and then get more mad. But that's how that goes. That is that. That environment. That is that how fun it's a playoff game. Yes. And and people are ingrained in their team. How fun would that be as a professional athlete to go, Wow, I'm actually fucking with you. You're pissed at me. Yeah. Because I'm controlling this and you have no say. I think that would be the ultimate ego rush that there is I would think so. Charles Michael Michael Drew to that. Larry Bird Larry Bird was best. When when when he get yelled at. Okay, I'll show you. Yeah. I'm gonna stick this. Yell all you want. I'm gonna stick this right in your eye. I mean Reggie Miller. Reggie Miller. Reggie Miller. Take that choke sign. Yeah. Spike Lee. How do you like that? I mean why are you guys only bringing up black people? So I mentioned Larry Bird. Larry Bird. He's in there. He's white. He's black though. Terror hope black. Yeah, he's terrible. French lick black. It's outside of French lake, so hell, he might as well. It's in the region. All right. So we're gonna wrap this up. Yes. Do you have a joke? Yes. I do. You do ⁓ told ya. Wow. Well you now she seemed disgusted with that. If we have to fuck it. What the hell? No. I'd like to go home and cook dinner but I can't. Now it's time for Do you we got any music? You you no if you guys are gonna I was gonna go Bob Nine. That was like starting a Model A with a car I'm not here to fuck around this week. You guys might be, but I'm not. Okay, so ⁓ we are on that season. Apple p apple picking, season of the witch. Yes, we're hitting October. Yeah. It is harvest moon. So I season of the witch. I don't know that I can pull this off, but I'm gonna try to do a Halloween joke of the week from here to Halloween. Okay. Okay. So this one comes to us. We are three hours and forty five minutes from from Salem, Massachusetts. From Montana. No, no, no, no. No? No, no. ⁓ that's what I was thinking, Tom. This is from ⁓ this isn't that good. So this is from ⁓ Ichabod, New Mexico. Ichabod, New Mexico. Which is just south of Roadhead, Wisconsin. By about fifteen hundred miles. Ichabod, Wisconsin you ever been there, Jeff? Yes, I have. You travel a lot. Yes. Yeah. Edgar Allan Poe wrote about him, didn't he? You he sold filters there. The Raven. I don't think that was him. I've been to South Ichabod. You don't want to go there. No, you know. It's a bad side of the I didn't stop. It's a bad side of it. I've been there. I've dri I drove right through him. Is that where the owner of the San Francisco 49ers went to drink up as prostitute? No, that was Ohio. Keep the windows up. That was do not stop. Backdoor Ichabod. Yes. Different. Totally different. ⁓ they have they have brownouts in backdoor Ichabod. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. It's an electricity issue. I don't know why. I don't I don't live in it. It's New Mexico. It's called blackouts, not brownouts. ⁓ no, it's a brownout. Brownouts when only some of the electricity goes out. Yeah. ⁓ so where are we from? Ikabot, New Mexico. Okay. Yes. ⁓ what do you call a ghost's boobs? Jeff, you like titties? Boobies. No, that's it. Wow. I I actually did not think that would No that's not. ⁓ I I didn't think that would be an answer. I was like, there's no way. That isn't it. No. That's not That's not the answer I'm looking for. That might be the answer when you tell the rookies, but what do you call a breath? Breaths. Boobs. I think he said boobs. Boobs in Ichabod, New Mexico. I don't think that part. It does. It does. Tom put the ick in Ichabod. Do it. Who put the ick in the ick Ichabod? Who put the jam in the Ramadan? Wow. I think Brett was doing spoons again. He was doing the little hand bone. He was doing bone. He's doing the hand bone, you guys got grease going on. Okay. In Ichina ⁓ you you're out. ⁓ You got the boo and the boob boo ba bees. Sorry, what no? ⁓ you're going with boobies? ⁓ no, I'm sick with that. Well Brett hold Brett already said that wasn't he? ⁓ it's it's still not it. You can get very cue to music though. In Ichabah again, ⁓ Ikabog New Mexico. A ghost boobies are called paranormal titties. All right. Hey, when you see us on the socials, make sure you share those clips and let your friends know all about it.
