This isn’t a love story.
It’s a story about attention, fantasy, and the way women sometimes hold on — not to a man, but to the idea of being seen.

In this episode of Unwritten, I read a piece adapted from my memoir-in-progress, A Life Rewritten. It captures the slow unraveling of a woman caught in a lopsided emotional tug-of-war with a man who never quite shows up — except when it’s convenient.

Told with honesty, wit, and emotional precision, John Wolf explores desire, disappointment, and the lies we tell ourselves to feel wanted — even when we know better.

💌 Listen if you’ve ever looked back on a moment that almost meant something.
