00:00:03
Speaker 1: We fire up the satellite, please. Are we ready to go to tonight's guest on the show?
00:00:07
Speaker 2: Yes.
00:00:07
Speaker 1: Chris Pratt, currently standing by in New York. He's back for season two of The Terminal List. All episodes are streaming on Prime Video today. Now, here is a quick recap of season one of The Terminal List because I think it's been four years since it came out. We had to watch Jack Reacher instead.
00:00:25
Speaker 3: Here we go.
00:00:27
Speaker 4: While on a mission to deliver retribution against those responsible for the deaths in his family, in Alpha Platoon, James Reese and reporter Katie Burenick uncover that the team's ambush was a cover-up for an experimental drug which was created to prevent PTSD but cause.
00:00:43
Speaker 3: Brain tumors in Reese's team.
00:00:47
Speaker 5: After taking out everyone responsible for the conspiracy, Reese follows the trail of corruption all the way to the Secretary of Defense, Dante. Reese also discovers that his best friend, Ben Edwards, was the source that was paid to orchestrate the ambush that killed Alpha Team.
00:01:02
Speaker 3: Let's finish the list.
00:01:05
Speaker 6: I remember that. He killed everyone. So who's he killing in this one? Let's find out.
00:01:10
Speaker 1: Chris Pratt standing by in New York with an actual Navy SEAL as well. He is the writer and executive producer of the show. His name is Jack Carr. Let's get them both on.
00:01:18
Speaker 6: The president is willing to grant you a full pardon for your crimes and give you your life back.
00:01:24
Speaker 3: You still the same James Reese that I knew in sniper school? Hey, what's up, everybody? Chris Pratt here. Is Jack Carr checking in? The terminal list is back. He may be exactly what we need for this fight. The storm is brewing.
00:01:39
Speaker 6: Gentlemen, hello.
00:01:39
Speaker 3: What's up, Smallsy?
00:01:41
Speaker 7: How are you?
00:01:41
Speaker 6: Good to see you, Chris. Look at you, always looking so trim.
00:01:45
Speaker 1: Right?
00:01:46
Speaker 7: Yes oh that's so nice thanks small z i don't take offense to that don't worry yeah that's very kind of you to.
00:01:51
Speaker 1: Say no you but you hey you sir jack you you you sir what a machine absolute oh.
00:01:58
Speaker 7: Well oh stop stop it's true absolute machine.
00:02:01
Speaker 1: Hey um congratulations on season two of the terminal list chris your character killed everyone on the list in season one who on earth uh is in trouble for season two.
00:02:12
Speaker 7: Well, you know, there's a few more people to add to his list. He's trying to find his way back into having a normal life and seeing if he has something to live for. And so his shot at redemption comes through a new mission.
00:02:27
Speaker 3: Okay.
00:02:28
Speaker 1: Jack, now, obviously, I don't want to misspeak, but an actual Navy SEAL yourself, author, these are your books. How would Chris go in like a real life situation? Because he's a Hollywood actor. Silver spoon.
00:02:44
Speaker 3: He's more than a Hollywood actor. Can I bring my makeup team?
00:02:48
Speaker 2: Yeah, we can bring hair and makeup and, yes, craft food services, things like that. Then I think you'd be good to go.
00:02:53
Speaker 3: But no, this guy's a wrestler and athlete.
00:02:56
Speaker 2: And the way he moves with the weapons is so natural that, yeah, he would crush out there in the SEAL teams.
00:03:02
Speaker 3: No doubt in my mind. Look at you. Wow, Chris. Wow. I mean, that's... Not true. You don't want to wrestle this guy. That's for sure. Hey, listen, that's for sure. That's why I was a sniper. Think of man's game.
00:03:14
Speaker 1: I did see somewhere that like there was a whole bunch of like training and you were deep in with the SEALs there to like make sure it was believable on set. Yeah.
00:03:23
Speaker 3: Yeah.
00:03:24
Speaker 7: Well, that's a big, that's a big part of this. I mean, we have a ton of special operators working on this show. We had 17 veterans on, on the, on the show and, you know, multiple Navy SEALs from the author of the book, Jack, but Jared Scharr, executive producer, Kenny Sheard, you know, all of our tech advisors, Raymond Dozer, who's a director. So we were a ton of SEALs on set and, and making sure that it passed their sniff test has always been our goal. We're trying to be as authentic as possible and, So yeah, it's physical training, but also just like how to move with the guns, how to walk into a room, how to clear a corner, how to, you know, who to trust, who not to trust, how to behave. There was a lot of comps for this type of behavior all around me.
00:04:03
Speaker 1: I don't want to make this about me, but I once upon a time did Moonlight holding a gun, a stunt gun.
00:04:08
Speaker 6: It was for films. It's way harder than it looks.
00:04:10
Speaker 1: Like, I mean, I was waving it around and the stunt guys were not impressed with my lack of being able to Hold the gun convincingly.
00:04:18
Speaker 6: But that's my story.
00:04:19
Speaker 3: Fix it in post. Fix it in post. Listen, Smallsy, I'm with you, man.
00:04:24
Speaker 7: Like, everything I've learned about before meeting these guys and doing this show, everything I had learned about combat, I learned from watching movies.
00:04:31
Speaker 3: And so I thought that, you know, I held the gun sideways.
00:04:33
Speaker 6: Yeah, I was busted into the room like this.
00:04:36
Speaker 3: No, that's not an effective way.
00:04:39
Speaker 1: Hey, no spoilers on this show, but there is a scene that's in the series trailer that basically gets your character pardoned for any previous crimes. I thought it could be fun to ask if any one of you needed a presidential pardon. Is there anything that you would need? For me, I would love it if someone could just forgive my driving record.
00:04:57
Speaker 6: It's not the greatest. It's not the greatest.
00:05:00
Speaker 3: I think we're breaking up.
00:05:02
Speaker 1: Yeah.
00:05:03
Speaker 3: I don't know.
00:05:04
Speaker 7: I've never made a mistake in my life, so I'm good.
00:05:08
Speaker 3: Obviously not. It's all fiction, obviously. Yeah, okay, great.
00:05:10
Speaker 1: Well, I'm sorry we've lost connection there. Congratulations on the series. Also, my final question, actually. All eight episodes are, like, dropping at once.
00:05:21
Speaker 3: Yes.
00:05:21
Speaker 1: You obviously put so many months of work into it. Do you mind if people binge watch– in one weekend, or would you like them to take a break in between? Because it dawned on me, like, you guys spend literally months, almost an entire year or more in your life, and then some potato on the other side of the world, a.k.a. me, just watches it all in one weekend and then goes, okay, what do I watch next?
00:05:49
Speaker 3: I would love that.
00:05:50
Speaker 7: That might mean the most to me because it means that you were sucked in, and that's why we dropped– all eight episodes on the 21st coming up worldwide. Our season one was four years ago. And so people have waited long enough. And I think enough people, especially our audience, are like, don't tell me when I can watch this. So they're all available the day it comes out. If you binge it, great. If you take an episode at a time, great. Just press play, watch. We made it for you. We worked our asses off. And it truly was four years in the making. So enjoy.
00:06:22
Speaker 3: Love it.
00:06:22
Speaker 2: And then go back and watch Terminal List, Dark Wolf, and re-watch season two.
00:06:27
Speaker 3: Just do it again. Yeah, why not? Absolutely. You'll get a lot more out of it that way.
00:06:32
Speaker 6: Gentlemen, thank you for your time. Appreciate it.
00:06:33
Speaker 2: All right.
00:06:34
Speaker 3: See you, buddy. See you, guys.
