OM DETTA AVSNITT
Brady Tkachuk returns to Ottawa for the first time as a member of the Florida Panthers, and all eyes are on how Senators fans will welcome their former captain! Jeff Marek and Greg Wyshynski break down one of the most anticipated homecomings of the NHL season as Tkachuk prepares to face the Ottawa Senators at Canadian Tire Centre. Will he be greeted with cheers, boos, or a little bit of both? The guys discuss Tkachuk’s comments about donating any Senators jerseys thrown onto the ice to BGC Ottawa, what his departure has meant to the organization, how his former teammates might approach the matchup, and what kind of atmosphere to expect in Ottawa. Elsewhere around the NHL, Dylan Larkin has reportedly expanded his list of acceptable trade destinations to 10 teams! Marek and Wyshynski examine the potential landing spots for the Detroit Red Wings forward, which contenders could put together a realistic trade package, and how a Larkin deal could shake up the league. They also dive into the uncertain future of restricted free agent Simon Edvinsson, potential trade returns for the young defenceman, and the difficult decisions facing Detroit’s front office. Plus, the Connor Hellebuyck saga continues in Winnipeg. What’s next for the Jets goaltender, which teams could emerge as serious trade partners, and how much longer can this situation remain unresolved? Later, Brent Wallace of Coming in Hot joins the show to discuss the launch of their new website as part of the Nation Network! Wallace also provides an inside look at the feeling around Ottawa ahead of Brady Tkachuk’s return, the Senators’ start to the season, the expected reaction from the crowd, and what this highly anticipated matchup means to the city.
