OM DETTA AVSNITT
What happens when millions of viewers begin moving away from expensive streaming subscriptions and toward free, ad-supported entertainment?
In this episode of the Super Entrepreneurs Podcast, Shahid Durrani sits down with Vikrant Mathur, Founder and CEO of Future Today, one of the pioneers in the FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television) industry. Vikrant also shares lessons from navigating industry disruptions, building through uncertainty, and identifying opportunities long before they become mainstream.

Episode Highlights
Streaming has changed dramatically over the past decade, but according to Vikrant Mathur, we're only at the beginning of another major shift. In this conversation, he explains why free ad-supported streaming (FAST) is attracting both viewers and advertisers, how Future Today grew into one of the largest independent streaming platforms, and why creators have more opportunities than ever before.
Vikrant also shares the difficult period that almost ended the business, how losing most of their Google traffic forced them to rethink everything, and why that setback ultimately became the catalyst for building the company they have today.
The discussion also explores AI-generated content, viewer behavior, content discovery, niche programming, and practical advice for anyone thinking about launching their own streaming channel.
