OM DETTA AVSNITT
This week isn't about money, investing or leaving work. It's about the people you meet once you've already left.
After spending the day with another couple travelling through Southeast Asia, I found myself thinking about something I hadn't really considered before. You can meet someone over a coffee, end up talking for hours, share conversations that normally take years to have, and then a day later you're on different sides of the world. It made me realise that one of the hidden costs of slow travel isn't leaving home. It's constantly saying goodbye.
We talk about why travel seems to create deeper conversations, why people open up so quickly when they're living through similar life changes, and how we've gone from collecting possessions to collecting people. Along the way I reflect on the friends we've met across Malaysia and Bali, the strange sadness that comes with moving on, and why some relationships only need an afternoon to leave a lasting mark.
Maybe that's what this chapter of life really is. Not collecting countries or ticking places off a map, but collecting moments with people you'll probably never forget, even if you never see them again.
