Sam Darnold powered the Seattle Seahawks to a dominant 20-3 win over the Kansas City Chiefs at Lumen Field, showcasing quick decision-making, deep ball accuracy, and surprising mobility. Jaxon Smith-Njigba torched the Kansas City secondary for 120 yards in the first half alone, breaking a double-digit streak of games without a 100-yard receiver allowed by the Chiefs’ defense. The Seattle offensive line looked sharper as Darnold spread the ball to seven different targets and Emmanuel Wilson hit the century mark rushing, outgaining Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker.
On defense, Byron Murphy, Leonard Williams, and Derick Hall turned up the pressure on Patrick Mahomes, stifling him all night and holding Kenneth Walker to just 36 rushing yards. Tyrice Knight and Ernest Jones clamped down the run, while Nick Emmanwori shined by blanketing Travis Kelce and keeping up with Xavier Worthy’s blazing speed. Can the Seahawks sustain this momentum and keep themselves in the playoff hunt?
