OM DETTA AVSNITT
Seany B sits down with Illy for a track by track deep dive into the album that changed everything, Two Degrees, ten years later.
From the explosive success of Papercuts featuring Vera Blue, to the pressure of following up Cinematic, Illy opens up about the moments, memories and mindset behind one of the defining Australian hip hop albums of the 2010s.
They unpack every track on the record, including Forget It, Catch 22, Lightshow, Truce and Highway, alongside Illy’s love of pop music, working with Anne-Marie and Jenna McDougall, the influence of Drake, and what it felt like watching Papercuts become an eight times platinum, number one hit.
It’s nostalgic, honest and full circle, a conversation between an artist and a genuine fan reflecting on an era that shaped Australian hip hop.
