WEBVTT
00:00:00.546 --> 00:00:03.589
Before we dive in today, I wanted to share an important note.
00:00:03.991 --> 00:00:08.317
My guest speaks about their own personal healing journey and experiences.
00:00:08.938 --> 00:00:15.506
Whilst I respect their story, this episode is for informational and inspirational purposes only.
00:00:15.526 --> 00:00:25.059
It is not a substitute for personalized medical advice, so if you have questions about your health, always consult a qualified healthcare professional.
00:00:25.679 --> 00:00:29.545
Thank you for listening, and I hope you enjoy this beautiful episode.
00:00:31.361 --> 00:00:52.826
Welcome back to another episode of the Generation Elevation podcast.
00:00:53.127 --> 00:01:10.513
Now, today I am joined by a very special guest, as always, but This guest, it's quite interesting, actually, because I've kept hearing about him lately through other guests that I've had on my show.
00:01:10.573 --> 00:01:17.962
Now, if you are a regular listener, you would know that I don't believe in coincidences.
00:01:18.662 --> 00:01:38.599
And so I trust that these little messages and mentionings of this person has literally been the universe or life guiding me to make sure I have this human on my show because I know and just the energy in conversations pre-recording.
00:01:38.618 --> 00:01:50.640
Oh my gosh I wish I recorded that already because it's been so fire and I know that each and every one of you tuning in right now is going to get so much value like life-changing.
00:01:51.281 --> 00:02:02.137
So With that said, I'm going to introduce to you a hip hop artist and global wellness innovator, Herb Young.
00:02:02.156 --> 00:02:03.097
Thank you,
00:02:03.158 --> 00:02:03.358
Herb.
00:02:03.959 --> 00:02:07.704
That was the most amazing introduction ever.
00:02:07.765 --> 00:02:09.007
Thank you so much, Miss Elise.
00:02:09.046 --> 00:02:10.068
You are great at what you do.
00:02:10.109 --> 00:02:12.110
Thank you so much.
00:02:12.131 --> 00:02:12.312
Thank you.
00:02:12.973 --> 00:02:16.457
And yeah, similar energy in regards to me hearing about you.
00:02:16.993 --> 00:02:23.502
And like the way it was interwoven for us to connect to this moment via Moon, via Juggie, our friend Sook.
00:02:23.582 --> 00:02:26.747
It was just like we were just flirting in each other's field.
00:02:26.848 --> 00:02:31.313
It was like one moment you're with this person and I'm with this person and then vice versa.
00:02:31.334 --> 00:02:34.518
So yeah, it was divine alignment for us to connect today.
00:02:34.617 --> 00:02:35.819
So thank you for having me on the show.
00:02:36.319 --> 00:02:37.701
Truly feel that.
00:02:37.902 --> 00:02:46.174
Like those of you that have been regular listeners, you would know that I've interviewed Juggie on my show, Moon, Sook, and Sook.
00:02:46.337 --> 00:02:52.403
Just what Herb mentioned, like he's been also passing by and spending time with these people too.
00:02:52.443 --> 00:02:54.186
They've all mentioned Herb.
00:02:54.225 --> 00:02:56.407
I'm like, I need to meet this guy.
00:02:56.427 --> 00:03:00.572
So I'm really grateful to have you on the episode today.
00:03:00.592 --> 00:03:07.498
So Herb, for those that are listening who have no idea who you are, why should they keep listening?
00:03:08.780 --> 00:03:09.040
Thank you.
00:03:09.080 --> 00:03:09.600
Good question.
00:03:11.043 --> 00:03:14.306
Because I'm going to tell you some shit that you're not going to believe.
00:03:15.298 --> 00:03:17.341
When I told my mama she dropped to her knees.
00:03:17.901 --> 00:03:19.925
I said, please, pray for your baby.
00:03:20.006 --> 00:03:23.352
I got a disease that's killing me far as a doctor can see.
00:03:23.852 --> 00:03:25.936
But his vision is blurred because of hypocrisy.
00:03:26.497 --> 00:03:30.302
I recently heard about hypocrisy and how food should be medicine.
00:03:30.342 --> 00:03:31.104
Then I agree.
00:03:32.026 --> 00:03:32.987
Food should be medicine.
00:03:33.048 --> 00:03:33.729
It should be free.
00:03:34.389 --> 00:03:36.052
So from this moment, I make a decree.
00:03:36.574 --> 00:03:38.717
I'm healing myself with each bite that I eat.
00:03:39.217 --> 00:03:41.222
But you know there's always some levels to reach.
00:03:41.506 --> 00:03:43.609
The healthiest eat in the leaf of the tree.
00:03:43.870 --> 00:03:45.913
Refresh out the dirt before washing it first.
00:03:46.272 --> 00:03:48.096
You probably think that that shit is berserk.
00:03:48.537 --> 00:03:52.663
I can't deny so that I, till I finally try and I find out it actually works.
00:03:53.163 --> 00:03:57.210
You may or may not like me, but I heal my COVID-19.
00:03:57.550 --> 00:03:59.473
Freeze your flight and don't fight me.
00:03:59.493 --> 00:04:01.877
Don't you want good health like me?
00:04:02.370 --> 00:04:11.376
What if the cure is in the high seas or vanilla ice cube ice teas or just bare feet on a nice beach eating vegan coconut ice cream?
00:04:11.918 --> 00:04:13.522
That was insane.
00:04:14.024 --> 00:04:14.526
What?
00:04:14.605 --> 00:04:15.889
Did you just prepare that?
00:04:16.353 --> 00:04:18.737
That's a little something I've been working on for a bit now.
00:04:19.237 --> 00:04:20.939
It's an actual song that I have written.
00:04:21.420 --> 00:04:23.423
Okay, because that was fire.
00:04:23.442 --> 00:04:23.923
Gratitude,
00:04:23.983 --> 00:04:24.444
gratitude.
00:04:24.584 --> 00:04:27.067
And you can catch it on my website, herbismyname.com.
00:04:27.127 --> 00:04:29.389
So if you like that, you can get the song on my
00:04:29.411 --> 00:04:30.091
website.
00:04:30.110 --> 00:04:32.173
Okay, I'm definitely going to check that out.
00:04:32.254 --> 00:04:33.095
That was vibes.
00:04:33.576 --> 00:04:38.482
So they should keep listening because you're going to be talking about how they can heal.
00:04:38.502 --> 00:04:38.581
Yeah.
00:04:39.442 --> 00:04:42.586
So essentially, I just told my story of healing through my music.
00:04:43.288 --> 00:04:44.709
But I'm from Chicago originally.
00:04:45.281 --> 00:04:50.353
And most people know that Chicago is somewhat of a rough environment.
00:04:50.374 --> 00:04:51.415
It's kind of a tough environment.
00:04:51.877 --> 00:05:04.605
And so, yeah, so my mother and I, we came out of that environment and we experienced a lot of crazy stuff, you know, from the, you know, the gang violence to the, you know, domestic violence and even just the crazy stuff that happens outside.
00:05:04.737 --> 00:05:11.990
Just even aside from the streets, just in life, you know, from the nasty environments, like people have to live in shelters sometimes.
00:05:12.031 --> 00:05:14.113
And so I actually, my mother and I had to live in a shelter.
00:05:14.495 --> 00:05:16.738
And while living in the shelter, I caught tuberculosis.
00:05:17.319 --> 00:05:21.007
And that was kind of the beginning of my health journey that I didn't even realize.
00:05:21.086 --> 00:05:23.009
But that changed my life a lot.
00:05:23.149 --> 00:05:27.557
Eventually, it started affecting me when I got older and I wanted to actually heal my tuberculosis.
00:05:28.259 --> 00:05:31.350
And doctors were telling me, you know, You can't heal it.
00:05:31.391 --> 00:05:33.093
And once I got older, my health was declining.
00:05:33.153 --> 00:05:34.154
It was affecting me more.
00:05:34.214 --> 00:05:37.959
And they were like, yeah, kid, it's going to kill you eventually, so enjoy your life.
00:05:38.980 --> 00:05:40.541
And I was like, that's it?
00:05:40.663 --> 00:05:48.011
And I don't want to believe that's it, that this disease is going to take me out, especially considering the homies ain't taking me out, you know what I'm saying, all the crazy stuff in Chicago.
00:05:48.132 --> 00:05:50.053
But then I started to hear about a man named Dr.
00:05:50.093 --> 00:05:57.163
Sebi that was actually teaching people how to heal all diseases through just alkaline food and alkaline herbs.
00:05:57.783 --> 00:06:03.783
And I didn't necessarily believe that initially, But then I started meeting people who actually used Dr.
00:06:03.822 --> 00:06:04.845
Sebi's method to heal.
00:06:05.225 --> 00:06:06.747
And so I said, OK, I'll try it.
00:06:07.168 --> 00:06:12.776
And after two months of sticking with his method, I became one of those people who could say I actually healed myself.
00:06:13.317 --> 00:06:17.322
And then I wanted to help my best friend, who is my mother.
00:06:17.723 --> 00:06:23.451
She was suffering from addiction to crack and to opioids, also had diabetes and arthritis.
00:06:24.012 --> 00:06:26.615
And she said, you know, you're living testament that this stuff works.
00:06:26.656 --> 00:06:27.737
So make me a protocol.
00:06:28.257 --> 00:06:31.041
And so I did, and she followed it for 90 days.
00:06:31.141 --> 00:06:33.586
After 90 days, she lost over 100 pounds.
00:06:34.065 --> 00:06:40.295
And even now, she's addiction-free, prescription-free, living her best life, even growing her own food now and everything.
00:06:41.536 --> 00:06:42.158
Wow.
00:06:42.377 --> 00:06:44.721
This is so cool to hear about.
00:06:44.740 --> 00:07:01.555
And it's really interesting because you've come– onto the show off the back of Sook coming on, who we definitely spoke about like metaphysics and how healing from the inside and like emotional regulation and trauma and how that can stay trapped in the body.
00:07:02.076 --> 00:07:04.899
So like, how did you come from Chicago then to London?
00:07:04.939 --> 00:07:05.740
Like what brought you here?
00:07:05.759 --> 00:07:05.800
Oh
00:07:06.221 --> 00:07:07.882
man, just following my heart.
00:07:07.903 --> 00:07:09.966
So I've been traveling the world for about three years now.
00:07:10.165 --> 00:07:16.093
I used to live in Bali, Thailand, and I was in Costa Rica, Canada, Mexico.
00:07:16.545 --> 00:07:20.632
And just a series of events and people that I connected with led me here.
00:07:20.812 --> 00:07:21.613
It was just all divine.
00:07:21.634 --> 00:07:26.701
And actually the initial thing was to come and record music with my best friend and my business partner, Luke Cohen.
00:07:26.923 --> 00:07:29.607
So he was like, yeah, come to, and actually not even come to London.
00:07:29.646 --> 00:07:30.908
He told me to come to Glastonbury.
00:07:30.949 --> 00:07:35.916
I met him in Glastonbury, which is, you know, the heart chakra of the planet, as they say.
00:07:35.997 --> 00:07:39.663
So my friend Luke, he visits sacred sites all over the world.
00:07:39.702 --> 00:07:43.930
So I trust his guidance when he's like, come visit a place, come experience his energy.
00:07:44.353 --> 00:07:50.382
And so, yeah, just being in Glastonbury, of course, I'm close to London.
00:07:50.403 --> 00:07:52.485
So I'm like, let me go try London, see how it feels.
00:07:52.646 --> 00:07:59.115
And lucky for me, the moment I choose to go up to London from Glastonbury, it was the same week of Jazz Fest.
00:07:59.615 --> 00:08:04.482
So I came in with just all this beautiful, like I literally didn't even know what was going on.
00:08:04.521 --> 00:08:05.624
I literally walked in.
00:08:05.663 --> 00:08:09.689
Actually, I think I was staying at Hootenanny at the hostel.
00:08:10.391 --> 00:08:12.613
And I lost my key.
00:08:13.122 --> 00:08:18.047
And so I couldn't get in and not only did I lose my key, I forgot that, and my phone died too.
00:08:18.086 --> 00:08:21.670
So you had to have a key and you had to have a passcode to get in.
00:08:22.050 --> 00:08:23.653
So I was like, I was cooked all the way.
00:08:24.112 --> 00:08:27.115
And so I was like, so Hootenanny is also a music venue.
00:08:27.437 --> 00:08:31.019
So I decided, let me go inside the music venue and get in through there.
00:08:31.500 --> 00:08:35.043
And when I decided to go in, just a whole new world opened up to me.
00:08:35.083 --> 00:08:36.625
There was this band on stage.
00:08:37.307 --> 00:08:38.488
I think it was Joshua Milo.
00:08:38.528 --> 00:08:40.210
Shout out to Joshua Milo and his band.
00:08:40.673 --> 00:08:43.979
They were just amazing, phenomenal, just blew my mind.
00:08:43.999 --> 00:08:47.442
And yeah, and they were like, yeah, this is part of Jazz Fest.
00:08:47.462 --> 00:08:53.230
And then each day after that, I was at a different music event for Jazz Fest.
00:08:53.250 --> 00:08:55.173
And that was kind of like my introduction to London.
00:08:55.214 --> 00:08:56.916
And yeah, and it pulled me in.
00:08:57.876 --> 00:08:58.337
Wow.
00:08:58.498 --> 00:09:04.206
It's so beautiful to hear your story of like divine timing and following the signs to get here.
00:09:04.426 --> 00:09:09.734
It definitely resonates with myself and my journey from Australia to London.
00:09:10.177 --> 00:09:16.847
It's cool to hear it from someone else though, because I know the listeners, all they hear is my story a lot of the time.
00:09:16.927 --> 00:09:18.951
So when I get guests on, it's nice to hear.
00:09:18.971 --> 00:09:23.277
It's not just me having all of these divine timing experiences, right?
00:09:23.317 --> 00:09:25.360
We all can experience that.
00:09:25.379 --> 00:09:30.467
I just want to take it back a little bit because you spoke about these protocols, right?
00:09:30.847 --> 00:09:31.369
From Dr.
00:09:31.408 --> 00:09:31.750
Sebi.
00:09:31.789 --> 00:09:35.335
So I'd really like to go deep into that to start with today.
00:09:35.414 --> 00:09:37.238
And what specifically...
00:09:37.697 --> 00:09:41.662
is involved in that and who could that potentially benefit?
00:09:41.721 --> 00:09:51.750
So like if someone's listening to this right now, what would they potentially be struggling with that this protocol, which you will explain, would help them with?
00:09:51.991 --> 00:09:52.672
Great question.
00:09:52.873 --> 00:10:08.650
So if you are watching this right now and you are suffering from some type of chronic illness or disease or some life-threatening disease or chronic fatigue or some type of illness that's giving you lots of pain, you need to check out Dr.
00:10:08.691 --> 00:10:09.511
Sebi's protocol.
00:10:09.552 --> 00:10:10.432
So it's really simple.
00:10:10.552 --> 00:10:14.337
You focus on eating alkaline foods and taking alkaline herbs, right?
00:10:14.357 --> 00:10:18.221
And it gets more specific and more detailed, but that is the basis of it.
00:10:18.261 --> 00:10:26.071
He has this list that he put together of all the foods that are alkaline or alkaline-forming foods for the body and a list of alkaline herbs.
00:10:26.731 --> 00:10:34.279
And so, long story short, he teaches that you can heal the body of any disease or any ailment in 90 days or less.
00:10:34.701 --> 00:10:39.908
So he's helped people with You know, HIV, he's helped people with all types of cancers, tumors, you name it.
00:10:40.248 --> 00:10:42.431
Like I said, I had tuberculosis and sickle cell.
00:10:42.530 --> 00:10:46.876
Even if you're suffering from an addiction, you know, that's a disease as well.
00:10:46.917 --> 00:10:47.597
That's an illness.
00:10:47.658 --> 00:10:49.059
That's something you can actually heal.
00:10:49.080 --> 00:10:54.347
A lot of people don't realize addiction is rooted in nutrient deficiency.
00:10:54.447 --> 00:10:59.634
You're literally craving more nutrients, even aside from the psychological things that are going on.
00:10:59.975 --> 00:11:04.302
Your body physically is craving nutrients, kind of like people who are addicted to crack.
00:11:04.642 --> 00:11:05.822
for example, or cocaine.
00:11:06.004 --> 00:11:09.868
People don't know that the coca plant actually has 42 constituents, right?
00:11:10.248 --> 00:11:16.575
And so they're wanting more of the cocaine because they want the rest of the constituents.
00:11:16.595 --> 00:11:18.096
They're only taking one of them, actually.
00:11:18.136 --> 00:11:26.025
The coca plant, the part that's the most addictive, what people want, they're giving them that part, but their body's craving the other 42 constituents.
00:11:26.145 --> 00:11:29.809
And actually, people use the coca plant for, like, mountain sickness.
00:11:30.250 --> 00:11:30.811
You know what I mean?
00:11:31.251 --> 00:11:32.332
And so it's...
00:11:33.409 --> 00:11:37.554
It's amazing how simple it could be, right?
00:11:37.595 --> 00:11:46.547
Even though it was something that was told to us that is impossible to heal AIDS or HIV or certain cancers or something like that or tuberculosis.
00:11:47.027 --> 00:11:53.514
And to know that all it takes is eating the right foods, taking the right herbs consistently can actually heal you.
00:11:53.875 --> 00:11:54.336
But it's true.
00:11:54.677 --> 00:11:55.597
I'm a living testament.
00:11:56.162 --> 00:11:57.263
That's really powerful.
00:11:57.582 --> 00:11:59.205
And I already can hear it.
00:11:59.284 --> 00:12:00.066
I can hear you guys.
00:12:00.485 --> 00:12:06.392
There's probably some people that are feeling a little bit skeptical about what you've claimed, right?
00:12:06.471 --> 00:12:08.094
Because that is huge.
00:12:08.313 --> 00:12:14.500
And we live in a society, especially people that will listen to this, that is very much about Western medicine.
00:12:14.519 --> 00:12:21.986
And you go to the doctor, you get a prescription for drugs, antibiotics, whatever, and that's supposed to fix you, right?
00:12:22.407 --> 00:12:43.880
But I definitely have a holistic approach on my podcast where I like to see a world in the future where we can hopefully have both philosophies like East and Western come together to help people not only heal from like what they're going through right now, but also preventative message like preventative measures for their future.
00:12:43.921 --> 00:12:48.625
So let's like strip it way back because I know there'll be people listening like what the heck is that?
00:12:48.926 --> 00:12:49.846
What's an alkaline
00:12:49.886 --> 00:12:50.287
food?
00:12:50.326 --> 00:12:56.219
Okay, so your body is Foods, everything is either acidic or alkaline, right?
00:12:56.259 --> 00:12:58.802
So there's a scale, it's called the pH scale, right?
00:12:58.903 --> 00:13:05.471
People hear about pH sometimes in regards to, you know, our own physical body's pH, but our blood actually has a pH level.
00:13:06.193 --> 00:13:11.020
And it's usually around 6.8, you know, 7 is neutral, right, on the pH scale.
00:13:11.041 --> 00:13:13.384
14 is like super highly alkaline.
00:13:13.825 --> 00:13:16.008
And then anything under 7 is acidic.
00:13:16.649 --> 00:13:21.635
And a lot of foods are actually under 7 on the pH scale, right?
00:13:21.676 --> 00:13:22.477
So it's acidic.
00:13:22.850 --> 00:13:29.879
But alkaline foods are above 7 on the pH scale, and it raises the pH of your blood.
00:13:30.519 --> 00:13:33.524
All your organs also have different pHs, right?
00:13:33.884 --> 00:13:37.428
But ideally, we want foods to continue to raise the pH.
00:13:37.850 --> 00:13:40.432
Something like coconut water is very alkaline.
00:13:41.333 --> 00:13:42.816
Cucumbers are highly alkaline.
00:13:42.876 --> 00:13:49.745
Or even just taking cucumbers and putting them in your water to alkalize the water or using something like a key lime to alkalize the water.
00:13:50.210 --> 00:13:53.254
And even though key lime, people are like, oh, a lime is acidic.
00:13:53.835 --> 00:13:56.919
It's actually alkaline forming when it touches the body.
00:13:56.980 --> 00:14:08.697
So certain foods, even like a strawberry, even though it's acidic on the pH scale, it has chemical affinity with the body, meaning when it touches human DNA, it alkalizes.
00:14:09.138 --> 00:14:12.984
So, yeah, we want to just stick to alkaline foods or alkaline forming foods.
00:14:13.544 --> 00:14:14.306
That's what it's about.
00:14:14.881 --> 00:14:17.272
Yeah, I really, I love this because it's interesting.
00:14:17.312 --> 00:14:19.861
All the things that you said, I'm like, oh yeah, I have that.
00:14:19.923 --> 00:14:20.666
That's really great.
00:14:20.686 --> 00:14:24.259
And I don't want to make it complicated for people, right?
00:14:24.320 --> 00:14:33.851
Because As you would know, there's so much information out there about what to eat, what not to eat, what to eat to lose weight, to gain muscle, to be healthy.
00:14:33.871 --> 00:14:35.974
And I'm from like the bodybuilding space.
00:14:36.033 --> 00:14:38.576
So there's a lot of information about that.
00:14:38.996 --> 00:14:54.494
So what would then be like your three best tips for people who are curious about maybe trying to change their diet to foods that are more alkaline to help them enhance energy and heal?
00:14:54.881 --> 00:14:58.687
So it's funny we talk about food, but the first food that we need.
00:14:58.726 --> 00:15:01.350
So how long can you go without food, right?
00:15:01.370 --> 00:15:03.091
You can go a couple of weeks, right?
00:15:03.572 --> 00:15:04.673
How long can you go without water?
00:15:04.693 --> 00:15:05.875
A few days.
00:15:06.797 --> 00:15:08.119
How long can you go without oxygen?
00:15:08.940 --> 00:15:09.600
You know what I mean?
00:15:09.620 --> 00:15:10.402
Only a couple of minutes.
00:15:10.881 --> 00:15:15.628
So actually breathing properly also alkalizes the blood in the body.
00:15:16.129 --> 00:15:20.674
So I would recommend learning breath work techniques, right?
00:15:21.375 --> 00:15:29.481
And the simplest way to put it is Exhale slower than you inhale, you know, exhale slower than you inhale.
00:15:29.522 --> 00:15:35.370
So if you, you know, inhale for four seconds, one, two, three, four, exhale for like five to six seconds.
00:15:35.529 --> 00:15:35.770
Right.
00:15:36.331 --> 00:15:39.355
And then learn breath techniques like the Wim Hof that changed my life.
00:15:39.416 --> 00:15:39.576
Right.
00:15:39.615 --> 00:15:43.861
That's a more rapid breath work technique, but it's to alkalize the blood as well.
00:15:44.577 --> 00:15:46.081
But so I would say learn breath work.
00:15:46.302 --> 00:15:50.674
Number two, get you alkaline beverages in your life, like coconut water.
00:15:50.695 --> 00:15:56.230
If you're drinking water, add some Celtic salt or some type of tropical salt.
00:15:56.331 --> 00:15:58.216
Some Celtic salt is a good one as well.
00:15:58.417 --> 00:15:59.780
Use cucumbers in your water.
00:16:00.225 --> 00:16:02.950
or just any type of fruit juice, alkaline fruit juice.
00:16:02.970 --> 00:16:05.975
So I would say, yeah, Breathwork, get you some alkaline beverages in your life.
00:16:06.014 --> 00:16:07.576
And then also look up Dr.
00:16:07.616 --> 00:16:12.605
Sebi's alkaline food guide because there's a list of all the foods that are actually alkaline.
00:16:13.125 --> 00:16:14.388
So that's what I would say.
00:16:14.567 --> 00:16:15.690
Wow, this is so interesting.
00:16:15.769 --> 00:16:21.678
And guys, even I'm learning here today, like for me, this is all really new information.
00:16:21.698 --> 00:16:23.621
So I really appreciate you sharing.
00:16:23.642 --> 00:16:28.008
I love the segue to Breathwork.
00:16:28.708 --> 00:16:29.070
Breath.
00:16:29.538 --> 00:16:36.424
Because for me, as everyone knows, as yourself knows, I facilitate a lot of breathwork and it has honestly changed my life.
00:16:36.764 --> 00:16:37.966
I've heard you change some lives.
00:16:38.025 --> 00:16:40.048
I've heard great things about your breathwork.
00:16:40.067 --> 00:16:40.568
Thank you.
00:16:40.908 --> 00:16:41.369
Thank you.
00:16:41.789 --> 00:16:47.595
But I've also seen your breathwork, especially from Juggie's session, go viral.
00:16:47.794 --> 00:16:49.917
This reset breath of yours.
00:16:49.957 --> 00:16:56.423
I'd love to hear your story of how you come to learn that and what it actually is for people who don't know.
00:16:56.464 --> 00:16:57.264
Thank you.
00:16:57.325 --> 00:16:57.644
Yeah.
00:17:00.289 --> 00:17:12.015
I was on, after I healed myself of tuberculosis and sickle cell, I was like, I want to heal myself of like these psychological things, this trauma that's locked in my nervous system, that's stored in my body, my brain.
00:17:12.095 --> 00:17:12.876
How do I heal that?
00:17:12.896 --> 00:17:24.358
And a lot of answers that I was getting back from people on the internet was like, bufo, combo, ayahuasca, try these, you know, These plant medicines, they'll help you purge, they'll help you heal.
00:17:24.700 --> 00:17:30.648
And then I heard about people that was like, yeah, I'm on 137 session of my ayahuasca.
00:17:30.729 --> 00:17:33.252
I'm like, 137 ayahuasca ceremonies, bro?
00:17:33.292 --> 00:17:34.114
You ain't fixed yet?
00:17:35.636 --> 00:17:37.460
So I was like, when does it end?
00:17:37.480 --> 00:17:37.920
You know what I mean?
00:17:37.940 --> 00:17:42.247
Like how many, you know, what is really going on?
00:17:42.307 --> 00:17:51.236
Even though I heard some people were getting benefits, but some people, you know, I've heard, you know, have died or lost, you know, psychosis and not come back from that.
00:17:51.256 --> 00:17:53.619
And I said, okay, I'm open to a universe.
00:17:53.640 --> 00:17:54.280
I want to heal.
00:17:54.540 --> 00:17:55.481
You know, I ain't scared.
00:17:55.501 --> 00:17:56.163
You know what I'm saying?
00:17:56.323 --> 00:18:04.153
But I would like something a little more safe, you know, something that's a little more on command, something that I could, you know, control more.
00:18:04.615 --> 00:18:05.896
And so I prayed for answers.
00:18:06.136 --> 00:18:12.445
Every time I was, had the opportunity to do like some type of plant medicine, universe was like, no, no.
00:18:12.546 --> 00:18:14.428
I even have a song about that.
00:18:14.469 --> 00:18:15.450
It's called Australia.
00:18:15.746 --> 00:18:16.106
No
00:18:17.107 --> 00:18:17.308
way.
00:18:17.429 --> 00:18:18.611
It's so funny.
00:18:18.750 --> 00:18:21.375
It's called Australia.
00:18:21.394 --> 00:18:31.332
But as I was praying for answers, I got one of the most life-changing experiences as an answered prayer when I went to Bali.
00:18:31.952 --> 00:18:34.897
So I decided to move to Bali a couple years ago.
00:18:35.425 --> 00:18:36.767
Just
00:18:36.846 --> 00:18:39.829
in my heart, I was just like, I need to get out of America.
00:18:39.849 --> 00:18:41.352
I just wanted to leave the United States.
00:18:41.372 --> 00:18:47.198
And even beyond leaving the United States, it was more about, you know, going to a tropical environment.
00:18:47.218 --> 00:18:48.338
You know, I love coconuts.
00:18:48.378 --> 00:18:49.460
I love tropical fruits.
00:18:49.559 --> 00:18:51.741
And I'm like, I'm getting this stuff shipped to me.
00:18:52.442 --> 00:18:56.728
It doesn't have the same nutritional values if I got it fresh from the source.
00:18:56.748 --> 00:18:57.488
So I was like, you know what?
00:18:58.028 --> 00:18:58.890
I want that experience.
00:18:58.950 --> 00:19:00.692
I want to eat fresh coconuts from the source.
00:19:00.751 --> 00:19:02.814
I want mangoes and papayas and...
00:19:03.266 --> 00:19:07.951
You know, if the sunlight on the soil is creating this coconut, what is it going to do to me?
00:19:08.092 --> 00:19:11.336
And so I just wanted the tropical experience.
00:19:11.395 --> 00:19:16.903
And plus, I'm very honest about myself, how spiritual I am and how committed I am to this lifestyle.
00:19:16.923 --> 00:19:22.328
And I said, I want to be around people who are of similar vibrations, who are committed to this lifestyle as well.
00:19:22.409 --> 00:19:24.211
And all answers pointed to Bali.
00:19:24.230 --> 00:19:25.633
It's like, that's the health capital.
00:19:25.692 --> 00:19:26.875
That's the spiritual capital.
00:19:27.075 --> 00:19:28.336
So I was like, okay.
00:19:28.636 --> 00:19:29.357
So I moved to Bali.
00:19:29.826 --> 00:19:36.874
And I went to Bali Spirit Fest and literally right when I went to Bali Spirit Fest, I met a dude who introduced me to Reset Breath.
00:19:36.993 --> 00:19:41.799
And even at Bali Spirit Fest, I even met my best friend, mentor, business partner, Luke Cohen.
00:19:41.839 --> 00:19:44.423
So like so much happened in like one moment.
00:19:44.923 --> 00:19:49.448
But yeah, in Bali, at Bali Spirit Fest is how I experienced Reset Breath for the first time.
00:19:50.249 --> 00:19:54.413
And so for those who have no idea what Reset Breath is, like what is it?
00:19:55.458 --> 00:20:00.324
It is a therapeutic practice to reset the central nervous system and reset the brain.
00:20:00.544 --> 00:20:05.829
And it does it in just 10 breaths, literally just 10 breaths, short, simple to the point.
00:20:05.970 --> 00:20:06.951
It makes you feel amazing.
00:20:07.191 --> 00:20:09.574
And it also releases feel-good chemicals.
00:20:09.634 --> 00:20:16.662
What makes you feel good is the feel-good chemicals that get released, which is the dopamine, serotonin, and also a little bit of DMT.
00:20:17.403 --> 00:20:21.446
You know, your own natural DMT, no substances involved whatsoever.
00:20:22.409 --> 00:20:23.289
That's so interesting.
00:20:23.410 --> 00:20:37.054
And it Well, what comes to my mind as you say that, like in the spiritual community, the ayahuasca, the plant journeys, the self-discovery through that path, it is so prevalent.
00:20:37.134 --> 00:20:38.615
Like I hear about it a lot.
00:20:38.635 --> 00:20:40.557
People come to me, oh, do you do this?
00:20:40.877 --> 00:20:42.519
Like, have you done this before?
00:20:42.559 --> 00:20:52.368
And I feel that the sacredness of these plants or their abilities or what they can do for you can be abused.
00:20:52.868 --> 00:20:59.582
Like it's, seen as almost like an escape from actually doing the work of yourself.
00:20:59.781 --> 00:21:02.286
That's why I like this idea of the reset breath.
00:21:02.425 --> 00:21:08.294
And it's interesting how these plants, they didn't come into life like the way that you thought it could.
00:21:08.334 --> 00:21:10.037
It's the same for me.
00:21:10.076 --> 00:21:22.094
And yeah, it's very interesting that there's this breath that can kind of give you the same sort of euphoric experience that people might assume can only be found through things that are external to them.
00:21:23.233 --> 00:21:24.255
That's a big, it's funny.
00:21:25.036 --> 00:21:30.884
That concept is what allowed me to heal because my mother, because I was big on like when I heard about Dr.
00:21:30.923 --> 00:21:33.086
Sabia, I was like, I'm going to Honduras.
00:21:33.426 --> 00:21:35.951
I'm going to go get in the alkaline water, the hot springs.
00:21:36.010 --> 00:21:41.877
I'm going to go eat all the, you know, I was big on just getting there and like my healing is going to happen when I get there.
00:21:41.898 --> 00:21:44.362
And interesting for me.
00:21:44.993 --> 00:21:45.855
It's funny.
00:21:45.974 --> 00:21:49.681
I was on my way to Honduras, and I decided to do a stopover in Oregon.
00:21:49.921 --> 00:21:51.923
A week and a half after I made it to Oregon, Dr.
00:21:51.943 --> 00:21:55.087
Sebi was pronounced dead under some very mysterious circumstances.
00:21:56.049 --> 00:22:04.582
But I was devastated initially, and my mom was like, baby, she said, when God has something for you, it will come to you wherever you are.
00:22:04.662 --> 00:22:06.183
You don't have to go anywhere to get it.
00:22:06.924 --> 00:22:12.502
And I was like, but I need to go get in the tropical sunlight and get the earth.
00:22:12.962 --> 00:22:18.549
And it took me a bit to really understand that concept of like, it really is all inside of me.
00:22:19.211 --> 00:22:23.076
And when I adopted that concept, right, I was like, you know, I can't go meet Dr.
00:22:23.096 --> 00:22:23.497
Sebi.
00:22:24.458 --> 00:22:26.500
I don't know what's going on with his family and the property.
00:22:26.540 --> 00:22:28.403
I don't, you know, I was like, you know what?
00:22:28.442 --> 00:22:30.685
I have to do this for myself where I'm at now.
00:22:31.226 --> 00:22:38.547
And when I had that mindset shift of, I can do this, and it's something inside of me that has to shift and change.
00:22:38.707 --> 00:22:40.849
That's when everything, that's when I literally healed.
00:22:40.910 --> 00:22:45.757
That's when I, like, I stopped using money for, like, I went on, like, this whole thing.
00:22:45.896 --> 00:22:46.317
You know what I mean?
00:22:46.336 --> 00:22:47.960
Like, I stopped using money for a year.
00:22:47.980 --> 00:22:50.883
I was foraging my own food with my own herbs.
00:22:50.983 --> 00:22:52.726
I was learning how to organic farm.
00:22:53.727 --> 00:22:54.709
It was just a whole thing.
00:22:54.769 --> 00:22:58.093
And within that first two months of going on this journey, I healed myself.
00:22:58.252 --> 00:23:04.833
And it was because of that concept of, like, not seeking all this external things you know, healing or modalities or substances.
00:23:04.893 --> 00:23:09.498
It was like, figure out how to shift what's inside of me to create the healing.
00:23:10.818 --> 00:23:27.237
What I love about this is people listening to this episode might be thinking, oh yeah, well, I, you know, I maybe can't afford like organic or alkaline foods and I don't have the time to do X, Y, Z and all of this healing and go to Bali and have these journeys.
00:23:28.337 --> 00:23:31.741
But what they can do is breathe.
00:23:32.513 --> 00:23:33.796
And learn how to do it properly.
00:23:33.816 --> 00:23:35.198
Thanks.
00:23:35.519 --> 00:23:37.342
So what is the science behind all of this?
00:23:37.541 --> 00:23:43.111
What are some grounding facts that this breath can help people achieve or do or feel?
00:23:43.151 --> 00:23:46.234
Like you said, it releases DMT, but what does that actually do for people?
00:23:46.276 --> 00:23:47.577
That's a good question.
00:23:48.157 --> 00:23:52.565
So first thing is we're tuning into our breath and becoming present.
00:23:53.767 --> 00:23:54.808
Presence is everything.
00:23:55.349 --> 00:23:58.515
If you're not present, you can't be effective.
00:23:58.615 --> 00:24:07.547
Like if you want to, you know, If you're in the kitchen and you want to cook a meal, if you're thinking about everything that happened yesterday, you might burn yourself, burn the food and everything.
00:24:07.606 --> 00:24:10.290
So it allows you to become present and become more aware.
00:24:10.330 --> 00:24:16.641
Then when you become present and aware of your body, you can really tune in to what's going on in your arm, your leg, or whatever.
00:24:16.681 --> 00:24:23.290
Even if you go deeper, what's going on spiritually, psychologically, emotionally, and then start to create a shift.
00:24:23.411 --> 00:24:28.117
And the breath is the one thing that allows you to, when you think about your breath and you...
00:24:28.450 --> 00:24:31.074
Imagine breathing out or breathing in, you're fully present.
00:24:31.094 --> 00:24:33.277
You can't be anywhere else but where you are.
00:24:33.999 --> 00:24:36.162
So that's one of like the key things.
00:24:36.623 --> 00:24:46.657
So people may or may not know about somebody like Joe Dispenza who teaches about meditation and using gratitude and breath work and all these things to shift and heal.
00:24:47.799 --> 00:24:49.321
But it really, really works.
00:24:49.342 --> 00:24:53.848
Like literally being present with yourself, with your breath, right?
00:24:54.309 --> 00:24:58.731
Feeling what it would be like to get on the other side.
00:24:59.432 --> 00:25:03.939
Like if you're experiencing, you know, cancer, what would it feel like to heal?
00:25:04.140 --> 00:25:04.921
Imagine that, right?
00:25:04.961 --> 00:25:09.106
And then give gratitude for that moment, right?
00:25:09.166 --> 00:25:12.771
Imagine the moment you get your diagnostic sheets and you're like, you no longer have cancer.
00:25:13.051 --> 00:25:14.453
What would that moment feel like, right?
00:25:14.673 --> 00:25:15.295
And then breathe.
00:25:16.096 --> 00:25:17.238
Breathe into that moment.
00:25:17.538 --> 00:25:27.797
Like that's the best tip that I could ever give anyone is to be present with gratitude, no matter if it's for the future or for the present moment, something in the past.
00:25:27.936 --> 00:25:31.602
Ideally, give gratitude for what you're already looking to do, right?
00:25:31.622 --> 00:25:32.584
You're looking to heal.
00:25:32.604 --> 00:25:33.625
You're looking to grow.
00:25:33.664 --> 00:25:37.290
You're looking to change or get richer, whatever it is.
00:25:37.310 --> 00:25:38.732
Imagine it.
00:25:40.115 --> 00:25:40.915
Sit with your breath.
00:25:41.317 --> 00:25:46.384
Breathe into that feeling, right, of how it would feel to experience it, and then let everything go from there.
00:25:46.443 --> 00:25:47.405
Like, literally start there.
00:25:48.130 --> 00:25:51.816
I did a whole podcast on this and how to visualize.
00:25:51.875 --> 00:26:03.535
Go listen to that one because I talk about how when you actually visualize that end result, the goal that you have in your mind, your brain doesn't actually know if that's happening right now or not.
00:26:04.115 --> 00:26:16.948
So the more vivid you can be in your mental rehearsal practice, you're actually like preparing your nervous system to receive positive that goal, that that goal is your normal.
00:26:17.367 --> 00:26:41.640
But if you think about the reticular activating system in your brain, if you're teaching your brain to know that you are abundant and you are worthy of love and you are healthy and fit and energized, you're most likely going to see opportunities throughout your day that represent that belief back to you because we all have a brain bias.
00:26:41.721 --> 00:26:54.599
So if you are biased to believing that you're sick and that you're unwell because everyone else around you has told you that, how many people have been told that they're sick but actually feel super well, right?
00:26:55.020 --> 00:27:00.067
And it's like if you are buying into that belief, then we start to...
00:27:01.569 --> 00:27:08.178
go internal on ourselves and think, oh, maybe I have been feeling a little bit off lately.
00:27:08.218 --> 00:27:10.141
And we start gaslighting ourselves, right?
00:27:10.161 --> 00:27:10.240
Yeah,
00:27:11.942 --> 00:27:13.163
it's very, very true.
00:27:13.203 --> 00:27:14.865
And I love how you got scientific with it.
00:27:15.007 --> 00:27:15.626
You know what I mean?
00:27:15.646 --> 00:27:21.173
Like, yeah, even Joe Dispenza talks about, you know, you want to meditate and shut down the prefrontal cortex.
00:27:21.193 --> 00:27:23.237
And that's the area that has you in beta.
00:27:23.277 --> 00:27:33.346
And so if we go deeper and scientific, also what ResetBreath does is is it allows you to immediately tap into your delta and theta brainwave states, you know, alpha, delta, theta.
00:27:33.788 --> 00:27:41.460
And that's the brainwave frequency where miracles can happen, healing can happen, reprogramming the subconscious mind happens in that state.
00:27:41.500 --> 00:27:43.063
That's what we dream, right?
00:27:43.522 --> 00:27:48.451
And so that's what meditation, ideally, and breathwork is doing.
00:27:48.530 --> 00:28:11.151
It's allowing us to slow everything down, change not only just our our physical state, our brainwave and emotional state so that we can be more receptive to what is actually true, that we are pure love, that we are whole, that we are healed, you know, that we are abundant, that we are all these wonderful things that we swear we're not sometimes and we're convinced we're not because of television, music, all this other stuff.
00:28:11.632 --> 00:28:13.713
Family members who just, they don't know any better.
00:28:13.933 --> 00:28:24.140
But yeah, but there's a lot of science around it and that, you know, even aside from the science, I tell people, just go get an experience.
00:28:24.380 --> 00:28:29.685
You can do it by yourself at home, just start meditating.
00:28:29.746 --> 00:28:34.991
But if you know someone who's doing breath work or whatever, yeah, just do it.
00:28:35.353 --> 00:28:43.563
I really love the idea of going and experiencing this whole healing journey for yourself.
00:28:43.782 --> 00:28:49.569
We live in a society that conditions you to believe that what you can see is real and that's it.
00:28:50.465 --> 00:28:54.413
So it takes you out of your heart and into your head, right?
00:28:54.794 --> 00:28:56.637
So very logical, analytical.
00:28:56.718 --> 00:29:00.685
And there's so many clients that I work with that come to me that are all stuck up in here.
00:29:00.705 --> 00:29:07.097
They're like, Elise, I don't know which path or thing to do or take or decision to make.
00:29:07.137 --> 00:29:08.280
I'm feeling lost.
00:29:08.601 --> 00:29:08.701
And...
00:29:09.506 --> 00:29:12.651
I just encourage them to tune back into their heart.
00:29:12.931 --> 00:29:20.942
Because when you drop into your heart, like we've spoken about this whole episode is, you know, you moved from Chicago to London, you went to Bali.
00:29:20.962 --> 00:29:26.131
I moved from Australia to London, all from following my heart.
00:29:26.371 --> 00:29:34.343
But if I was to be logical about these decisions that I've made, I would not be sitting here right now with you having this really beautiful conversation.
00:29:34.383 --> 00:29:42.413
And so for anyone listening, I want to just leave you with just, follow your heart when these decisions come through for you.
00:29:42.534 --> 00:29:56.510
And it's like, if you're listening to this chat right now and you're like, something excites you about maybe potentially trying new foods or this breath work or just even meditating, anything, then just give it a go.
00:29:56.530 --> 00:29:56.611
Give
00:29:57.332 --> 00:29:57.652
it a go.
00:29:57.692 --> 00:29:58.373
Give it a try.
00:29:58.692 --> 00:29:59.253
Trust.
00:29:59.314 --> 00:29:59.934
You might like it.
00:30:00.275 --> 00:30:00.776
You might.
00:30:01.096 --> 00:30:01.797
You might love it.
00:30:02.137 --> 00:30:02.718
You might.
00:30:02.758 --> 00:30:03.638
Might change your life.
00:30:04.259 --> 00:30:04.319
You
00:30:04.339 --> 00:30:04.901
know?
00:30:04.921 --> 00:30:18.086
And for me, That was literally the argument I had with myself before I got started on this journey was I was walking through COVID time because that's all I could really do, right, is just walk.
00:30:18.527 --> 00:30:20.930
And I was experiencing major anxiety.
00:30:20.950 --> 00:30:24.574
So I was listening to podcasts for three hours every day.
00:30:24.594 --> 00:30:28.018
I would go for a walk for that amount of time because there's nothing else.
00:30:28.718 --> 00:30:32.782
And I was trying to figure out what was wrong with me through these podcasts.
00:30:32.823 --> 00:30:34.765
I was trying to logically figure it out.
00:30:35.938 --> 00:30:41.364
It was months of this to eventually I just pulled out my headphones.
00:30:41.523 --> 00:30:42.644
I was so frustrated.
00:30:42.765 --> 00:30:44.366
And I was like looking at the sky.
00:30:44.406 --> 00:30:49.672
Now for me, back then I wouldn't have called myself religious or spiritual at all.
00:30:49.992 --> 00:30:53.336
But I looked at the sky hoping something would answer me back.
00:30:53.375 --> 00:30:57.099
And I said, someone, something help me.
00:30:58.340 --> 00:31:02.865
And in that moment, I just looking back realized it was a complete surrender.
00:31:03.458 --> 00:31:08.325
And I just had this experience where I heard meditate, meditate.
00:31:08.945 --> 00:31:13.272
And my brain was like, nah, I don't believe in meditation.
00:31:13.313 --> 00:31:14.654
I don't do that.
00:31:14.714 --> 00:31:15.757
That's for hippies.
00:31:15.817 --> 00:31:16.817
That's woo woo.
00:31:16.837 --> 00:31:17.859
I don't have time.
00:31:17.900 --> 00:31:20.042
And it was like, meditate, meditate, meditate.
00:31:20.083 --> 00:31:23.989
So like you said, I was like, fine, I'll give it a go.
00:31:24.028 --> 00:31:25.010
I'll do one minute.
00:31:25.351 --> 00:31:28.236
And if I like it, then we can continue.
00:31:28.496 --> 00:31:30.960
But if I don't, then I don't have to ever do it again.
00:31:30.980 --> 00:31:32.122
So I did a minute.
00:31:32.961 --> 00:31:33.522
I liked it.
00:31:33.962 --> 00:31:35.445
So I kept going.
00:31:35.465 --> 00:31:37.489
And then now we're here today.
00:31:37.509 --> 00:31:40.272
This is exactly what I teach and what lights me up.
00:31:40.393 --> 00:31:42.736
But you'll never know unless you give it a go.
00:31:43.897 --> 00:31:44.679
I'm so proud of you.
00:31:45.380 --> 00:31:45.921
Thank you.
00:31:45.941 --> 00:31:48.423
If I wouldn't hold the mic, I'd give you a round of applause.
00:31:48.845 --> 00:31:53.371
No, because I'm serious because it's not easy to listen to their voice.
00:31:53.411 --> 00:31:54.573
You know what I mean?
00:31:55.013 --> 00:31:56.997
Listen to your gut, your spirit, whatever.
00:31:57.017 --> 00:31:58.018
Because sometimes it's a voice.
00:31:58.038 --> 00:32:08.740
Sometimes it's just your gut feeling where you can like, Something leading you, you know, and and I've had many a times where I did not listen very early on, too.
00:32:08.780 --> 00:32:10.624
And I paid the price for not listening.
00:32:11.025 --> 00:32:17.678
But I'm so happy to hear, you know, you listen and you followed your heart and you just said, hey, I'll just try it for a minute.
00:32:17.953 --> 00:32:19.194
And I even like what you posted.
00:32:19.214 --> 00:32:24.121
I think you did a challenge where you were doing your 21 day athletic challenge or something.
00:32:24.141 --> 00:32:41.481
So basically, for those of you that are either following me or you're not aware, every single day I'm showing up on social media and I am training my mind like an athlete until I achieve my goal, which is to do one of my workshops for a professional sport team.
00:32:41.826 --> 00:32:42.567
Oh, wow.
00:32:42.747 --> 00:32:43.147
Because I want to
00:32:43.167 --> 00:32:55.423
track the science of how this work can help improve not only performance, but also potentially reduce the likelihood of injury in elite athletes.
00:32:56.005 --> 00:33:04.457
Now, if I improved right in this data, then imagine what impact that could have on the rest of the world.
00:33:04.997 --> 00:33:22.703
So for me, I'm showing through this challenge One, not only that this work can help you achieve your goals by locking in mentally, doing your meditations every day, journaling, gratitude, et cetera, aligned action, but also I'm showing how this changes my life too.
00:33:22.743 --> 00:33:25.907
And I know I'm going to achieve that goal.
00:33:26.208 --> 00:33:27.911
So it's like, great.
00:33:28.411 --> 00:33:33.817
But also too, it's showing others that like how much it changes for me as well.
00:33:34.057 --> 00:33:36.701
So it's a win-win and I'm really excited.
00:33:36.741 --> 00:33:36.862
Yeah.
00:33:37.153 --> 00:33:38.115
It being the change.
00:33:38.395 --> 00:33:38.676
Yeah.
00:33:38.737 --> 00:33:39.538
I'm excited for you.
00:33:39.678 --> 00:33:42.442
And I love, so thank you for giving me the backstory on that and everything.
00:33:42.482 --> 00:33:45.568
Cause I was like, cause I was more like, what made her decide to do this?
00:33:45.628 --> 00:33:46.369
Because it's funny.
00:33:46.509 --> 00:33:55.005
One of my things that I journal, it's a really, it's really important to, to, to shift your belief system is to have the proper identity, right?
00:33:55.045 --> 00:33:58.391
A lot of our beliefs about ourself are rooted in, identity.
00:33:58.851 --> 00:34:02.295
So one of my identities is an elite performing athlete.
00:34:02.375 --> 00:34:02.976
So I write it down.
00:34:03.296 --> 00:34:07.201
So anyway, so I was like, yeah, she's got it right.
00:34:07.221 --> 00:34:13.188
That's the mindset because an athlete, you know, when you have that identity as an athlete, your athletes are like, yo, I'm up at this time.
00:34:13.208 --> 00:34:14.690
I'm eating the right way.
00:34:14.750 --> 00:34:16.271
I'm like, be wise because I'm an athlete.
00:34:16.351 --> 00:34:18.273
I have to perform at a high level.
00:34:18.735 --> 00:34:19.775
I can't slack off.
00:34:19.835 --> 00:34:21.338
I can't take days off per se.
00:34:21.358 --> 00:34:23.327
Well, You get your rest and recover.
00:34:23.427 --> 00:34:26.612
But I have active rest and I recover in this way.
00:34:27.034 --> 00:34:36.469
And so one of the things that you mentioned as far as like when you wake up and you have that tough day or you don't want to work out, you was like, I'm going to tell myself, just try it for five minutes.
00:34:36.949 --> 00:34:39.132
Just for five minutes and see how I feel.
00:34:39.152 --> 00:34:41.978
If I don't feel like doing it after that, at least I gave it five minutes.
00:34:42.378 --> 00:34:45.163
And so I think that's a very, very great tip for people.
00:34:45.603 --> 00:34:48.108
So try it for one minute as far as meditation and working out.
00:34:48.148 --> 00:34:49.630
At least try it for five minutes and recover.
00:34:49.922 --> 00:34:51.704
If you don't feel so good afterwards, that's okay.
00:34:51.724 --> 00:34:53.286
At least you did it for five minutes, you know.
00:34:53.306 --> 00:34:54.349
100%.
00:34:54.789 --> 00:35:02.039
And there's definitely different ways and vehicles to healing and becoming that best version of yourself.
00:35:02.079 --> 00:35:06.286
So if one thing doesn't work, doesn't mean that everything doesn't work for you.
00:35:06.327 --> 00:35:19.166
So I'd love to hear about like your story, Herb, and just like maybe some things that have worked really well for you and that maybe you thought would work well, but didn't.
00:35:19.873 --> 00:35:21.655
That's a good question.
00:35:22.597 --> 00:35:31.309
I thought certain places, you know, there's certain things, because I've traveled a lot, and I thought certain places would be like, oh, that's where everything is going to happen at.
00:35:31.690 --> 00:35:33.112
And that's not true sometimes.
00:35:33.172 --> 00:35:33.813
That's not true.
00:35:34.333 --> 00:35:36.777
For example, with music, you know, I moved to L.A.
00:35:37.217 --> 00:35:37.597
for music.
00:35:37.938 --> 00:35:39.300
I was like, you know, L.A.
00:35:39.360 --> 00:35:45.248
is a place to be for music and, you know, the best recording studios and this, that, and the third and the connections and all that.
00:35:45.469 --> 00:35:46.230
And it's funny.
00:35:46.786 --> 00:35:49.331
I'm looking to make a name for myself in music.
00:35:49.351 --> 00:35:52.295
When I get to LA, I made a name for myself in the healing community.
00:35:52.596 --> 00:35:56.041
I'm in the best studios and all the artists, but they're like, yeah, that's little Dr.
00:35:56.083 --> 00:35:56.804
Sebi right there.
00:35:57.164 --> 00:36:02.494
I'm honored that people know me for that, even beyond music.
00:36:02.534 --> 00:36:06.199
They're like, yeah, you need any tips on health and healing?
00:36:06.240 --> 00:36:07.983
If you're sick, go to Herb.
00:36:08.043 --> 00:36:08.664
Herb will let you know.
00:36:09.106 --> 00:36:10.288
And I was like, wow.
00:36:10.849 --> 00:36:11.309
And so...
00:36:11.713 --> 00:36:24.210
I still had success in LA in regards to music and things I recorded and connections I made, but it didn't give me what I thought I wanted in regards to what I wanted to achieve with music.
00:36:24.929 --> 00:36:27.552
But it gave me a lot of information, a lot of insights.
00:36:27.592 --> 00:36:29.094
And so, yeah, I enjoyed LA.
00:36:29.135 --> 00:36:29.835
I loved LA.
00:36:30.335 --> 00:36:34.159
And so that was one of the, I guess, places or things that kind of, you know, didn't work for me.
00:36:34.179 --> 00:36:41.887
But in regards to health-wise, what's something that I thought would work for me really well and it didn't necessarily work for me?
00:36:41.907 --> 00:36:42.648
I don't know.
00:36:42.668 --> 00:36:44.130
I've tried a lot of stuff, actually.
00:36:45.092 --> 00:36:49.717
Man, I guess it would be the plant medicine because I was very open to trying.
00:36:49.737 --> 00:36:50.438
Like, for example...
00:36:50.849 --> 00:36:56.922
I have experienced like micro dosing and using psychedelics.
00:36:57.282 --> 00:37:05.038
However, it didn't, it helped me initially, but it didn't give me what I thought I wanted to receive.
00:37:05.077 --> 00:37:12.092
And what I'm learning is there really isn't this one heel law, right?
00:37:12.472 --> 00:37:13.014
You know what I mean?
00:37:13.378 --> 00:37:45.061
um there's things that help you along the journey that'll give you great results that'll move you forward but there's not this one just you know heal all pill or one heal all method it's a combination of all these things and like for example even with my music now even though you know LA or Chicago weren't the places for me to like fulfill certain musical goals it definitely helped me In that way, as far as certain connections and certain information I learned and recording this song with that song, whatever.
00:37:45.121 --> 00:37:48.806
So it's always what I'm learning is it's a combination of things.
00:37:49.047 --> 00:37:55.536
Even when something doesn't work or doesn't work out that well, it's still teaching me and I'm still learning and it's still helping me in some way.
00:37:56.858 --> 00:38:03.146
A quote I actually saw today was failure doesn't mean that you are necessarily like far away from success.
00:38:03.206 --> 00:38:04.907
It actually means that you're really close
00:38:05.009 --> 00:38:05.208
to.
00:38:05.268 --> 00:38:06.110
Oh, I like that one.
00:38:06.338 --> 00:38:13.969
Because the more that you make mistakes, the more that you fail, it means that you are closer to success than someone who hasn't tried at all.
00:38:14.110 --> 00:38:14.570
Exactly.
00:38:16.213 --> 00:38:16.373
Yeah.
00:38:16.393 --> 00:38:17.054
Powerful.
00:38:17.275 --> 00:38:17.916
Very powerful.
00:38:18.476 --> 00:38:32.157
So I guess for the listeners who want to figure out how they can connect with you, how they can even message and get started, I know you have an e-book or something.
00:38:32.353 --> 00:38:32.954
I do.
00:38:33.074 --> 00:38:33.315
I do.
00:38:33.476 --> 00:38:34.858
How can they find you?
00:38:35.117 --> 00:38:37.942
Yeah, you can find me on Instagram.
00:38:37.981 --> 00:38:38.762
Herb is my name.
00:38:38.822 --> 00:38:39.885
Just all one word.
00:38:39.925 --> 00:38:40.846
Herb is my name.
00:38:41.266 --> 00:38:42.628
You can also go to my website.
00:38:42.929 --> 00:38:44.231
Herbismyname.com.
00:38:44.510 --> 00:38:45.773
That's a great place to connect with me.
00:38:45.813 --> 00:38:48.376
You can message me on WhatsApp through my website.
00:38:48.396 --> 00:38:49.358
You can email me.
00:38:50.079 --> 00:38:51.661
You can DM me on Instagram.
00:38:52.061 --> 00:38:56.148
You can also get my e-book on my website if that's something you're interested in.
00:38:56.188 --> 00:39:00.634
If you want a guide that would actually help you on your health journey, I highly recommend it.
00:39:01.730 --> 00:39:06.014
And also your music too, because like your lines, they're fire.
00:39:06.135 --> 00:39:08.556
So can we listen to your music
00:39:08.958 --> 00:39:09.318
anywhere?
00:39:09.398 --> 00:39:13.842
So I released a couple of songs on all streaming platforms.
00:39:14.403 --> 00:39:17.146
But majority of my music is on my own website.
00:39:17.186 --> 00:39:22.472
Go directly to my website, herbismyname.com if you want to get music from me.
00:39:22.512 --> 00:39:26.356
But yeah, you can check me out on Spotify or Apple Music.
00:39:26.376 --> 00:39:27.177
It's just Herb Young.
00:39:28.994 --> 00:39:31.338
So what's the next steps for you then?
00:39:31.559 --> 00:39:33.262
What's the vision?
00:39:33.422 --> 00:39:34.563
Where do you want to take this?
00:39:35.204 --> 00:39:39.351
Man, so the ultimate goal is to help the world become disease-free.
00:39:40.014 --> 00:39:41.677
That sounds super crazy, right?
00:39:41.896 --> 00:39:46.806
Healing is a very loaded, vague term, but disease-free is very specific.
00:39:47.233 --> 00:39:52.561
I would love to help as many people as possible experience what I experienced, like real healing.
00:39:52.621 --> 00:39:58.751
You know, I've had so many friends and family members who have passed away, who have actually died from curable diseases.
00:39:58.771 --> 00:40:00.893
Now we know that they were curable diseases.
00:40:01.114 --> 00:40:05.721
So when I, it was like the biggest light bulb ever went off in my head.
00:40:05.760 --> 00:40:13.813
Once I was in the doctor's office and I'm getting my diagnostics back and they're like, yeah, where's your tuberculosis?
00:40:13.833 --> 00:40:14.153
What do you mean?
00:40:14.173 --> 00:40:15.996
Because you know, tuberculosis is really weird.
00:40:16.016 --> 00:40:43.860
You have to like get, a scan you have to get like a lung scan and like basically the previous scan showed where the tuberculosis was and then the next scan is like there's not there and so once it was real like I was already feeling better like I could feel it but once I'm like no this is real not only am I see this the doctor see this like what did you do I was like I want to help as many people experience healing as possible.
00:40:44.179 --> 00:40:45.802
Make it super affordable.
00:40:45.822 --> 00:40:46.242
You know what I mean?
00:40:46.282 --> 00:40:48.686
Like show people like you can just go and start forging herbs.
00:40:48.827 --> 00:40:50.748
You can go, you can do this on your own.
00:40:50.789 --> 00:40:53.052
You don't have to spend an obscene amount of money.
00:40:53.112 --> 00:41:00.282
You can really learn how to use breath work, how to use meditation and how to use, you know, alkaline food and alkaline herbs to heal.
00:41:00.322 --> 00:41:11.918
So for me, it's, you know, sharing my story via platforms like yours, using my music and also people that want to come in direct contact with me to use my protocol or my coaching services, whatever, whatever.
00:41:12.353 --> 00:41:17.541
In any way the divine says it wants me to contribute to the world, becoming disease-free, I'm willing to contribute.
00:41:18.682 --> 00:41:19.664
So beautiful.
00:41:19.704 --> 00:41:26.373
And with every guest, the last question is very intuitive.
00:41:27.514 --> 00:41:32.240
So I want you to tune into your heart when I ask this.
00:41:32.661 --> 00:41:41.534
But for everyone who is tuning in right now and listening, what do you feel the collective needs to know right now?
00:41:41.858 --> 00:41:46.150
I feel like right now the collective needs to know that you are pure love.
00:41:47.213 --> 00:41:48.016
You are love.
00:41:48.036 --> 00:41:51.586
You are whole, period, exclamation point.
00:41:51.626 --> 00:41:51.947
That's it.
00:41:52.027 --> 00:41:52.670
You are whole.
00:41:52.690 --> 00:41:53.291
You are love.
00:41:53.893 --> 00:41:56.079
You can do anything you put your mind to, you put your heart to.
00:41:56.119 --> 00:41:56.762
That's it.
00:00:00.546 --> 00:00:03.589
Before we dive in today, I wanted to share an important note.
00:00:03.991 --> 00:00:08.317
My guest speaks about their own personal healing journey and experiences.
00:00:08.938 --> 00:00:15.506
Whilst I respect their story, this episode is for informational and inspirational purposes only.
00:00:15.526 --> 00:00:25.059
It is not a substitute for personalized medical advice, so if you have questions about your health, always consult a qualified healthcare professional.
00:00:25.679 --> 00:00:29.545
Thank you for listening, and I hope you enjoy this beautiful episode.
00:00:31.361 --> 00:00:52.826
Welcome back to another episode of the Generation Elevation podcast.
00:00:53.127 --> 00:01:10.513
Now, today I am joined by a very special guest, as always, but This guest, it's quite interesting, actually, because I've kept hearing about him lately through other guests that I've had on my show.
00:01:10.573 --> 00:01:17.962
Now, if you are a regular listener, you would know that I don't believe in coincidences.
00:01:18.662 --> 00:01:38.599
And so I trust that these little messages and mentionings of this person has literally been the universe or life guiding me to make sure I have this human on my show because I know and just the energy in conversations pre-recording.
00:01:38.618 --> 00:01:50.640
Oh my gosh I wish I recorded that already because it's been so fire and I know that each and every one of you tuning in right now is going to get so much value like life-changing.
00:01:51.281 --> 00:02:02.137
So With that said, I'm going to introduce to you a hip hop artist and global wellness innovator, Herb Young.
00:02:02.156 --> 00:02:03.097
Thank you,
00:02:03.158 --> 00:02:03.358
Herb.
00:02:03.959 --> 00:02:07.704
That was the most amazing introduction ever.
00:02:07.765 --> 00:02:09.007
Thank you so much, Miss Elise.
00:02:09.046 --> 00:02:10.068
You are great at what you do.
00:02:10.109 --> 00:02:12.110
Thank you so much.
00:02:12.131 --> 00:02:12.312
Thank you.
00:02:12.973 --> 00:02:16.457
And yeah, similar energy in regards to me hearing about you.
00:02:16.993 --> 00:02:23.502
And like the way it was interwoven for us to connect to this moment via Moon, via Juggie, our friend Sook.
00:02:23.582 --> 00:02:26.747
It was just like we were just flirting in each other's field.
00:02:26.848 --> 00:02:31.313
It was like one moment you're with this person and I'm with this person and then vice versa.
00:02:31.334 --> 00:02:34.518
So yeah, it was divine alignment for us to connect today.
00:02:34.617 --> 00:02:35.819
So thank you for having me on the show.
00:02:36.319 --> 00:02:37.701
Truly feel that.
00:02:37.902 --> 00:02:46.174
Like those of you that have been regular listeners, you would know that I've interviewed Juggie on my show, Moon, Sook, and Sook.
00:02:46.337 --> 00:02:52.403
Just what Herb mentioned, like he's been also passing by and spending time with these people too.
00:02:52.443 --> 00:02:54.186
They've all mentioned Herb.
00:02:54.225 --> 00:02:56.407
I'm like, I need to meet this guy.
00:02:56.427 --> 00:03:00.572
So I'm really grateful to have you on the episode today.
00:03:00.592 --> 00:03:07.498
So Herb, for those that are listening who have no idea who you are, why should they keep listening?
00:03:08.780 --> 00:03:09.040
Thank you.
00:03:09.080 --> 00:03:09.600
Good question.
00:03:11.043 --> 00:03:14.306
Because I'm going to tell you some shit that you're not going to believe.
00:03:15.298 --> 00:03:17.341
When I told my mama she dropped to her knees.
00:03:17.901 --> 00:03:19.925
I said, please, pray for your baby.
00:03:20.006 --> 00:03:23.352
I got a disease that's killing me far as a doctor can see.
00:03:23.852 --> 00:03:25.936
But his vision is blurred because of hypocrisy.
00:03:26.497 --> 00:03:30.302
I recently heard about hypocrisy and how food should be medicine.
00:03:30.342 --> 00:03:31.104
Then I agree.
00:03:32.026 --> 00:03:32.987
Food should be medicine.
00:03:33.048 --> 00:03:33.729
It should be free.
00:03:34.389 --> 00:03:36.052
So from this moment, I make a decree.
00:03:36.574 --> 00:03:38.717
I'm healing myself with each bite that I eat.
00:03:39.217 --> 00:03:41.222
But you know there's always some levels to reach.
00:03:41.506 --> 00:03:43.609
The healthiest eat in the leaf of the tree.
00:03:43.870 --> 00:03:45.913
Refresh out the dirt before washing it first.
00:03:46.272 --> 00:03:48.096
You probably think that that shit is berserk.
00:03:48.537 --> 00:03:52.663
I can't deny so that I, till I finally try and I find out it actually works.
00:03:53.163 --> 00:03:57.210
You may or may not like me, but I heal my COVID-19.
00:03:57.550 --> 00:03:59.473
Freeze your flight and don't fight me.
00:03:59.493 --> 00:04:01.877
Don't you want good health like me?
00:04:02.370 --> 00:04:11.376
What if the cure is in the high seas or vanilla ice cube ice teas or just bare feet on a nice beach eating vegan coconut ice cream?
00:04:11.918 --> 00:04:13.522
That was insane.
00:04:14.024 --> 00:04:14.526
What?
00:04:14.605 --> 00:04:15.889
Did you just prepare that?
00:04:16.353 --> 00:04:18.737
That's a little something I've been working on for a bit now.
00:04:19.237 --> 00:04:20.939
It's an actual song that I have written.
00:04:21.420 --> 00:04:23.423
Okay, because that was fire.
00:04:23.442 --> 00:04:23.923
Gratitude,
00:04:23.983 --> 00:04:24.444
gratitude.
00:04:24.584 --> 00:04:27.067
And you can catch it on my website, herbismyname.com.
00:04:27.127 --> 00:04:29.389
So if you like that, you can get the song on my
00:04:29.411 --> 00:04:30.091
website.
00:04:30.110 --> 00:04:32.173
Okay, I'm definitely going to check that out.
00:04:32.254 --> 00:04:33.095
That was vibes.
00:04:33.576 --> 00:04:38.482
So they should keep listening because you're going to be talking about how they can heal.
00:04:38.502 --> 00:04:38.581
Yeah.
00:04:39.442 --> 00:04:42.586
So essentially, I just told my story of healing through my music.
00:04:43.288 --> 00:04:44.709
But I'm from Chicago originally.
00:04:45.281 --> 00:04:50.353
And most people know that Chicago is somewhat of a rough environment.
00:04:50.374 --> 00:04:51.415
It's kind of a tough environment.
00:04:51.877 --> 00:05:04.605
And so, yeah, so my mother and I, we came out of that environment and we experienced a lot of crazy stuff, you know, from the, you know, the gang violence to the, you know, domestic violence and even just the crazy stuff that happens outside.
00:05:04.737 --> 00:05:11.990
Just even aside from the streets, just in life, you know, from the nasty environments, like people have to live in shelters sometimes.
00:05:12.031 --> 00:05:14.113
And so I actually, my mother and I had to live in a shelter.
00:05:14.495 --> 00:05:16.738
And while living in the shelter, I caught tuberculosis.
00:05:17.319 --> 00:05:21.007
And that was kind of the beginning of my health journey that I didn't even realize.
00:05:21.086 --> 00:05:23.009
But that changed my life a lot.
00:05:23.149 --> 00:05:27.557
Eventually, it started affecting me when I got older and I wanted to actually heal my tuberculosis.
00:05:28.259 --> 00:05:31.350
And doctors were telling me, you know, You can't heal it.
00:05:31.391 --> 00:05:33.093
And once I got older, my health was declining.
00:05:33.153 --> 00:05:34.154
It was affecting me more.
00:05:34.214 --> 00:05:37.959
And they were like, yeah, kid, it's going to kill you eventually, so enjoy your life.
00:05:38.980 --> 00:05:40.541
And I was like, that's it?
00:05:40.663 --> 00:05:48.011
And I don't want to believe that's it, that this disease is going to take me out, especially considering the homies ain't taking me out, you know what I'm saying, all the crazy stuff in Chicago.
00:05:48.132 --> 00:05:50.053
But then I started to hear about a man named Dr.
00:05:50.093 --> 00:05:57.163
Sebi that was actually teaching people how to heal all diseases through just alkaline food and alkaline herbs.
00:05:57.783 --> 00:06:03.783
And I didn't necessarily believe that initially, But then I started meeting people who actually used Dr.
00:06:03.822 --> 00:06:04.845
Sebi's method to heal.
00:06:05.225 --> 00:06:06.747
And so I said, OK, I'll try it.
00:06:07.168 --> 00:06:12.776
And after two months of sticking with his method, I became one of those people who could say I actually healed myself.
00:06:13.317 --> 00:06:17.322
And then I wanted to help my best friend, who is my mother.
00:06:17.723 --> 00:06:23.451
She was suffering from addiction to crack and to opioids, also had diabetes and arthritis.
00:06:24.012 --> 00:06:26.615
And she said, you know, you're living testament that this stuff works.
00:06:26.656 --> 00:06:27.737
So make me a protocol.
00:06:28.257 --> 00:06:31.041
And so I did, and she followed it for 90 days.
00:06:31.141 --> 00:06:33.586
After 90 days, she lost over 100 pounds.
00:06:34.065 --> 00:06:40.295
And even now, she's addiction-free, prescription-free, living her best life, even growing her own food now and everything.
00:06:41.536 --> 00:06:42.158
Wow.
00:06:42.377 --> 00:06:44.721
This is so cool to hear about.
00:06:44.740 --> 00:07:01.555
And it's really interesting because you've come– onto the show off the back of Sook coming on, who we definitely spoke about like metaphysics and how healing from the inside and like emotional regulation and trauma and how that can stay trapped in the body.
00:07:02.076 --> 00:07:04.899
So like, how did you come from Chicago then to London?
00:07:04.939 --> 00:07:05.740
Like what brought you here?
00:07:05.759 --> 00:07:05.800
Oh
00:07:06.221 --> 00:07:07.882
man, just following my heart.
00:07:07.903 --> 00:07:09.966
So I've been traveling the world for about three years now.
00:07:10.165 --> 00:07:16.093
I used to live in Bali, Thailand, and I was in Costa Rica, Canada, Mexico.
00:07:16.545 --> 00:07:20.632
And just a series of events and people that I connected with led me here.
00:07:20.812 --> 00:07:21.613
It was just all divine.
00:07:21.634 --> 00:07:26.701
And actually the initial thing was to come and record music with my best friend and my business partner, Luke Cohen.
00:07:26.923 --> 00:07:29.607
So he was like, yeah, come to, and actually not even come to London.
00:07:29.646 --> 00:07:30.908
He told me to come to Glastonbury.
00:07:30.949 --> 00:07:35.916
I met him in Glastonbury, which is, you know, the heart chakra of the planet, as they say.
00:07:35.997 --> 00:07:39.663
So my friend Luke, he visits sacred sites all over the world.
00:07:39.702 --> 00:07:43.930
So I trust his guidance when he's like, come visit a place, come experience his energy.
00:07:44.353 --> 00:07:50.382
And so, yeah, just being in Glastonbury, of course, I'm close to London.
00:07:50.403 --> 00:07:52.485
So I'm like, let me go try London, see how it feels.
00:07:52.646 --> 00:07:59.115
And lucky for me, the moment I choose to go up to London from Glastonbury, it was the same week of Jazz Fest.
00:07:59.615 --> 00:08:04.482
So I came in with just all this beautiful, like I literally didn't even know what was going on.
00:08:04.521 --> 00:08:05.624
I literally walked in.
00:08:05.663 --> 00:08:09.689
Actually, I think I was staying at Hootenanny at the hostel.
00:08:10.391 --> 00:08:12.613
And I lost my key.
00:08:13.122 --> 00:08:18.047
And so I couldn't get in and not only did I lose my key, I forgot that, and my phone died too.
00:08:18.086 --> 00:08:21.670
So you had to have a key and you had to have a passcode to get in.
00:08:22.050 --> 00:08:23.653
So I was like, I was cooked all the way.
00:08:24.112 --> 00:08:27.115
And so I was like, so Hootenanny is also a music venue.
00:08:27.437 --> 00:08:31.019
So I decided, let me go inside the music venue and get in through there.
00:08:31.500 --> 00:08:35.043
And when I decided to go in, just a whole new world opened up to me.
00:08:35.083 --> 00:08:36.625
There was this band on stage.
00:08:37.307 --> 00:08:38.488
I think it was Joshua Milo.
00:08:38.528 --> 00:08:40.210
Shout out to Joshua Milo and his band.
00:08:40.673 --> 00:08:43.979
They were just amazing, phenomenal, just blew my mind.
00:08:43.999 --> 00:08:47.442
And yeah, and they were like, yeah, this is part of Jazz Fest.
00:08:47.462 --> 00:08:53.230
And then each day after that, I was at a different music event for Jazz Fest.
00:08:53.250 --> 00:08:55.173
And that was kind of like my introduction to London.
00:08:55.214 --> 00:08:56.916
And yeah, and it pulled me in.
00:08:57.876 --> 00:08:58.337
Wow.
00:08:58.498 --> 00:09:04.206
It's so beautiful to hear your story of like divine timing and following the signs to get here.
00:09:04.426 --> 00:09:09.734
It definitely resonates with myself and my journey from Australia to London.
00:09:10.177 --> 00:09:16.847
It's cool to hear it from someone else though, because I know the listeners, all they hear is my story a lot of the time.
00:09:16.927 --> 00:09:18.951
So when I get guests on, it's nice to hear.
00:09:18.971 --> 00:09:23.277
It's not just me having all of these divine timing experiences, right?
00:09:23.317 --> 00:09:25.360
We all can experience that.
00:09:25.379 --> 00:09:30.467
I just want to take it back a little bit because you spoke about these protocols, right?
00:09:30.847 --> 00:09:31.369
From Dr.
00:09:31.408 --> 00:09:31.750
Sebi.
00:09:31.789 --> 00:09:35.335
So I'd really like to go deep into that to start with today.
00:09:35.414 --> 00:09:37.238
And what specifically...
00:09:37.697 --> 00:09:41.662
is involved in that and who could that potentially benefit?
00:09:41.721 --> 00:09:51.750
So like if someone's listening to this right now, what would they potentially be struggling with that this protocol, which you will explain, would help them with?
00:09:51.991 --> 00:09:52.672
Great question.
00:09:52.873 --> 00:10:08.650
So if you are watching this right now and you are suffering from some type of chronic illness or disease or some life-threatening disease or chronic fatigue or some type of illness that's giving you lots of pain, you need to check out Dr.
00:10:08.691 --> 00:10:09.511
Sebi's protocol.
00:10:09.552 --> 00:10:10.432
So it's really simple.
00:10:10.552 --> 00:10:14.337
You focus on eating alkaline foods and taking alkaline herbs, right?
00:10:14.357 --> 00:10:18.221
And it gets more specific and more detailed, but that is the basis of it.
00:10:18.261 --> 00:10:26.071
He has this list that he put together of all the foods that are alkaline or alkaline-forming foods for the body and a list of alkaline herbs.
00:10:26.731 --> 00:10:34.279
And so, long story short, he teaches that you can heal the body of any disease or any ailment in 90 days or less.
00:10:34.701 --> 00:10:39.908
So he's helped people with You know, HIV, he's helped people with all types of cancers, tumors, you name it.
00:10:40.248 --> 00:10:42.431
Like I said, I had tuberculosis and sickle cell.
00:10:42.530 --> 00:10:46.876
Even if you're suffering from an addiction, you know, that's a disease as well.
00:10:46.917 --> 00:10:47.597
That's an illness.
00:10:47.658 --> 00:10:49.059
That's something you can actually heal.
00:10:49.080 --> 00:10:54.347
A lot of people don't realize addiction is rooted in nutrient deficiency.
00:10:54.447 --> 00:10:59.634
You're literally craving more nutrients, even aside from the psychological things that are going on.
00:10:59.975 --> 00:11:04.302
Your body physically is craving nutrients, kind of like people who are addicted to crack.
00:11:04.642 --> 00:11:05.822
for example, or cocaine.
00:11:06.004 --> 00:11:09.868
People don't know that the coca plant actually has 42 constituents, right?
00:11:10.248 --> 00:11:16.575
And so they're wanting more of the cocaine because they want the rest of the constituents.
00:11:16.595 --> 00:11:18.096
They're only taking one of them, actually.
00:11:18.136 --> 00:11:26.025
The coca plant, the part that's the most addictive, what people want, they're giving them that part, but their body's craving the other 42 constituents.
00:11:26.145 --> 00:11:29.809
And actually, people use the coca plant for, like, mountain sickness.
00:11:30.250 --> 00:11:30.811
You know what I mean?
00:11:31.251 --> 00:11:32.332
And so it's...
00:11:33.409 --> 00:11:37.554
It's amazing how simple it could be, right?
00:11:37.595 --> 00:11:46.547
Even though it was something that was told to us that is impossible to heal AIDS or HIV or certain cancers or something like that or tuberculosis.
00:11:47.027 --> 00:11:53.514
And to know that all it takes is eating the right foods, taking the right herbs consistently can actually heal you.
00:11:53.875 --> 00:11:54.336
But it's true.
00:11:54.677 --> 00:11:55.597
I'm a living testament.
00:11:56.162 --> 00:11:57.263
That's really powerful.
00:11:57.582 --> 00:11:59.205
And I already can hear it.
00:11:59.284 --> 00:12:00.066
I can hear you guys.
00:12:00.485 --> 00:12:06.392
There's probably some people that are feeling a little bit skeptical about what you've claimed, right?
00:12:06.471 --> 00:12:08.094
Because that is huge.
00:12:08.313 --> 00:12:14.500
And we live in a society, especially people that will listen to this, that is very much about Western medicine.
00:12:14.519 --> 00:12:21.986
And you go to the doctor, you get a prescription for drugs, antibiotics, whatever, and that's supposed to fix you, right?
00:12:22.407 --> 00:12:43.880
But I definitely have a holistic approach on my podcast where I like to see a world in the future where we can hopefully have both philosophies like East and Western come together to help people not only heal from like what they're going through right now, but also preventative message like preventative measures for their future.
00:12:43.921 --> 00:12:48.625
So let's like strip it way back because I know there'll be people listening like what the heck is that?
00:12:48.926 --> 00:12:49.846
What's an alkaline
00:12:49.886 --> 00:12:50.287
food?
00:12:50.326 --> 00:12:56.219
Okay, so your body is Foods, everything is either acidic or alkaline, right?
00:12:56.259 --> 00:12:58.802
So there's a scale, it's called the pH scale, right?
00:12:58.903 --> 00:13:05.471
People hear about pH sometimes in regards to, you know, our own physical body's pH, but our blood actually has a pH level.
00:13:06.193 --> 00:13:11.020
And it's usually around 6.8, you know, 7 is neutral, right, on the pH scale.
00:13:11.041 --> 00:13:13.384
14 is like super highly alkaline.
00:13:13.825 --> 00:13:16.008
And then anything under 7 is acidic.
00:13:16.649 --> 00:13:21.635
And a lot of foods are actually under 7 on the pH scale, right?
00:13:21.676 --> 00:13:22.477
So it's acidic.
00:13:22.850 --> 00:13:29.879
But alkaline foods are above 7 on the pH scale, and it raises the pH of your blood.
00:13:30.519 --> 00:13:33.524
All your organs also have different pHs, right?
00:13:33.884 --> 00:13:37.428
But ideally, we want foods to continue to raise the pH.
00:13:37.850 --> 00:13:40.432
Something like coconut water is very alkaline.
00:13:41.333 --> 00:13:42.816
Cucumbers are highly alkaline.
00:13:42.876 --> 00:13:49.745
Or even just taking cucumbers and putting them in your water to alkalize the water or using something like a key lime to alkalize the water.
00:13:50.210 --> 00:13:53.254
And even though key lime, people are like, oh, a lime is acidic.
00:13:53.835 --> 00:13:56.919
It's actually alkaline forming when it touches the body.
00:13:56.980 --> 00:14:08.697
So certain foods, even like a strawberry, even though it's acidic on the pH scale, it has chemical affinity with the body, meaning when it touches human DNA, it alkalizes.
00:14:09.138 --> 00:14:12.984
So, yeah, we want to just stick to alkaline foods or alkaline forming foods.
00:14:13.544 --> 00:14:14.306
That's what it's about.
00:14:14.881 --> 00:14:17.272
Yeah, I really, I love this because it's interesting.
00:14:17.312 --> 00:14:19.861
All the things that you said, I'm like, oh yeah, I have that.
00:14:19.923 --> 00:14:20.666
That's really great.
00:14:20.686 --> 00:14:24.259
And I don't want to make it complicated for people, right?
00:14:24.320 --> 00:14:33.851
Because As you would know, there's so much information out there about what to eat, what not to eat, what to eat to lose weight, to gain muscle, to be healthy.
00:14:33.871 --> 00:14:35.974
And I'm from like the bodybuilding space.
00:14:36.033 --> 00:14:38.576
So there's a lot of information about that.
00:14:38.996 --> 00:14:54.494
So what would then be like your three best tips for people who are curious about maybe trying to change their diet to foods that are more alkaline to help them enhance energy and heal?
00:14:54.881 --> 00:14:58.687
So it's funny we talk about food, but the first food that we need.
00:14:58.726 --> 00:15:01.350
So how long can you go without food, right?
00:15:01.370 --> 00:15:03.091
You can go a couple of weeks, right?
00:15:03.572 --> 00:15:04.673
How long can you go without water?
00:15:04.693 --> 00:15:05.875
A few days.
00:15:06.797 --> 00:15:08.119
How long can you go without oxygen?
00:15:08.940 --> 00:15:09.600
You know what I mean?
00:15:09.620 --> 00:15:10.402
Only a couple of minutes.
00:15:10.881 --> 00:15:15.628
So actually breathing properly also alkalizes the blood in the body.
00:15:16.129 --> 00:15:20.674
So I would recommend learning breath work techniques, right?
00:15:21.375 --> 00:15:29.481
And the simplest way to put it is Exhale slower than you inhale, you know, exhale slower than you inhale.
00:15:29.522 --> 00:15:35.370
So if you, you know, inhale for four seconds, one, two, three, four, exhale for like five to six seconds.
00:15:35.529 --> 00:15:35.770
Right.
00:15:36.331 --> 00:15:39.355
And then learn breath techniques like the Wim Hof that changed my life.
00:15:39.416 --> 00:15:39.576
Right.
00:15:39.615 --> 00:15:43.861
That's a more rapid breath work technique, but it's to alkalize the blood as well.
00:15:44.577 --> 00:15:46.081
But so I would say learn breath work.
00:15:46.302 --> 00:15:50.674
Number two, get you alkaline beverages in your life, like coconut water.
00:15:50.695 --> 00:15:56.230
If you're drinking water, add some Celtic salt or some type of tropical salt.
00:15:56.331 --> 00:15:58.216
Some Celtic salt is a good one as well.
00:15:58.417 --> 00:15:59.780
Use cucumbers in your water.
00:16:00.225 --> 00:16:02.950
or just any type of fruit juice, alkaline fruit juice.
00:16:02.970 --> 00:16:05.975
So I would say, yeah, Breathwork, get you some alkaline beverages in your life.
00:16:06.014 --> 00:16:07.576
And then also look up Dr.
00:16:07.616 --> 00:16:12.605
Sebi's alkaline food guide because there's a list of all the foods that are actually alkaline.
00:16:13.125 --> 00:16:14.388
So that's what I would say.
00:16:14.567 --> 00:16:15.690
Wow, this is so interesting.
00:16:15.769 --> 00:16:21.678
And guys, even I'm learning here today, like for me, this is all really new information.
00:16:21.698 --> 00:16:23.621
So I really appreciate you sharing.
00:16:23.642 --> 00:16:28.008
I love the segue to Breathwork.
00:16:28.708 --> 00:16:29.070
Breath.
00:16:29.538 --> 00:16:36.424
Because for me, as everyone knows, as yourself knows, I facilitate a lot of breathwork and it has honestly changed my life.
00:16:36.764 --> 00:16:37.966
I've heard you change some lives.
00:16:38.025 --> 00:16:40.048
I've heard great things about your breathwork.
00:16:40.067 --> 00:16:40.568
Thank you.
00:16:40.908 --> 00:16:41.369
Thank you.
00:16:41.789 --> 00:16:47.595
But I've also seen your breathwork, especially from Juggie's session, go viral.
00:16:47.794 --> 00:16:49.917
This reset breath of yours.
00:16:49.957 --> 00:16:56.423
I'd love to hear your story of how you come to learn that and what it actually is for people who don't know.
00:16:56.464 --> 00:16:57.264
Thank you.
00:16:57.325 --> 00:16:57.644
Yeah.
00:17:00.289 --> 00:17:12.015
I was on, after I healed myself of tuberculosis and sickle cell, I was like, I want to heal myself of like these psychological things, this trauma that's locked in my nervous system, that's stored in my body, my brain.
00:17:12.095 --> 00:17:12.876
How do I heal that?
00:17:12.896 --> 00:17:24.358
And a lot of answers that I was getting back from people on the internet was like, bufo, combo, ayahuasca, try these, you know, These plant medicines, they'll help you purge, they'll help you heal.
00:17:24.700 --> 00:17:30.648
And then I heard about people that was like, yeah, I'm on 137 session of my ayahuasca.
00:17:30.729 --> 00:17:33.252
I'm like, 137 ayahuasca ceremonies, bro?
00:17:33.292 --> 00:17:34.114
You ain't fixed yet?
00:17:35.636 --> 00:17:37.460
So I was like, when does it end?
00:17:37.480 --> 00:17:37.920
You know what I mean?
00:17:37.940 --> 00:17:42.247
Like how many, you know, what is really going on?
00:17:42.307 --> 00:17:51.236
Even though I heard some people were getting benefits, but some people, you know, I've heard, you know, have died or lost, you know, psychosis and not come back from that.
00:17:51.256 --> 00:17:53.619
And I said, okay, I'm open to a universe.
00:17:53.640 --> 00:17:54.280
I want to heal.
00:17:54.540 --> 00:17:55.481
You know, I ain't scared.
00:17:55.501 --> 00:17:56.163
You know what I'm saying?
00:17:56.323 --> 00:18:04.153
But I would like something a little more safe, you know, something that's a little more on command, something that I could, you know, control more.
00:18:04.615 --> 00:18:05.896
And so I prayed for answers.
00:18:06.136 --> 00:18:12.445
Every time I was, had the opportunity to do like some type of plant medicine, universe was like, no, no.
00:18:12.546 --> 00:18:14.428
I even have a song about that.
00:18:14.469 --> 00:18:15.450
It's called Australia.
00:18:15.746 --> 00:18:16.106
No
00:18:17.107 --> 00:18:17.308
way.
00:18:17.429 --> 00:18:18.611
It's so funny.
00:18:18.750 --> 00:18:21.375
It's called Australia.
00:18:21.394 --> 00:18:31.332
But as I was praying for answers, I got one of the most life-changing experiences as an answered prayer when I went to Bali.
00:18:31.952 --> 00:18:34.897
So I decided to move to Bali a couple years ago.
00:18:35.425 --> 00:18:36.767
Just
00:18:36.846 --> 00:18:39.829
in my heart, I was just like, I need to get out of America.
00:18:39.849 --> 00:18:41.352
I just wanted to leave the United States.
00:18:41.372 --> 00:18:47.198
And even beyond leaving the United States, it was more about, you know, going to a tropical environment.
00:18:47.218 --> 00:18:48.338
You know, I love coconuts.
00:18:48.378 --> 00:18:49.460
I love tropical fruits.
00:18:49.559 --> 00:18:51.741
And I'm like, I'm getting this stuff shipped to me.
00:18:52.442 --> 00:18:56.728
It doesn't have the same nutritional values if I got it fresh from the source.
00:18:56.748 --> 00:18:57.488
So I was like, you know what?
00:18:58.028 --> 00:18:58.890
I want that experience.
00:18:58.950 --> 00:19:00.692
I want to eat fresh coconuts from the source.
00:19:00.751 --> 00:19:02.814
I want mangoes and papayas and...
00:19:03.266 --> 00:19:07.951
You know, if the sunlight on the soil is creating this coconut, what is it going to do to me?
00:19:08.092 --> 00:19:11.336
And so I just wanted the tropical experience.
00:19:11.395 --> 00:19:16.903
And plus, I'm very honest about myself, how spiritual I am and how committed I am to this lifestyle.
00:19:16.923 --> 00:19:22.328
And I said, I want to be around people who are of similar vibrations, who are committed to this lifestyle as well.
00:19:22.409 --> 00:19:24.211
And all answers pointed to Bali.
00:19:24.230 --> 00:19:25.633
It's like, that's the health capital.
00:19:25.692 --> 00:19:26.875
That's the spiritual capital.
00:19:27.075 --> 00:19:28.336
So I was like, okay.
00:19:28.636 --> 00:19:29.357
So I moved to Bali.
00:19:29.826 --> 00:19:36.874
And I went to Bali Spirit Fest and literally right when I went to Bali Spirit Fest, I met a dude who introduced me to Reset Breath.
00:19:36.993 --> 00:19:41.799
And even at Bali Spirit Fest, I even met my best friend, mentor, business partner, Luke Cohen.
00:19:41.839 --> 00:19:44.423
So like so much happened in like one moment.
00:19:44.923 --> 00:19:49.448
But yeah, in Bali, at Bali Spirit Fest is how I experienced Reset Breath for the first time.
00:19:50.249 --> 00:19:54.413
And so for those who have no idea what Reset Breath is, like what is it?
00:19:55.458 --> 00:20:00.324
It is a therapeutic practice to reset the central nervous system and reset the brain.
00:20:00.544 --> 00:20:05.829
And it does it in just 10 breaths, literally just 10 breaths, short, simple to the point.
00:20:05.970 --> 00:20:06.951
It makes you feel amazing.
00:20:07.191 --> 00:20:09.574
And it also releases feel-good chemicals.
00:20:09.634 --> 00:20:16.662
What makes you feel good is the feel-good chemicals that get released, which is the dopamine, serotonin, and also a little bit of DMT.
00:20:17.403 --> 00:20:21.446
You know, your own natural DMT, no substances involved whatsoever.
00:20:22.409 --> 00:20:23.289
That's so interesting.
00:20:23.410 --> 00:20:37.054
And it Well, what comes to my mind as you say that, like in the spiritual community, the ayahuasca, the plant journeys, the self-discovery through that path, it is so prevalent.
00:20:37.134 --> 00:20:38.615
Like I hear about it a lot.
00:20:38.635 --> 00:20:40.557
People come to me, oh, do you do this?
00:20:40.877 --> 00:20:42.519
Like, have you done this before?
00:20:42.559 --> 00:20:52.368
And I feel that the sacredness of these plants or their abilities or what they can do for you can be abused.
00:20:52.868 --> 00:20:59.582
Like it's, seen as almost like an escape from actually doing the work of yourself.
00:20:59.781 --> 00:21:02.286
That's why I like this idea of the reset breath.
00:21:02.425 --> 00:21:08.294
And it's interesting how these plants, they didn't come into life like the way that you thought it could.
00:21:08.334 --> 00:21:10.037
It's the same for me.
00:21:10.076 --> 00:21:22.094
And yeah, it's very interesting that there's this breath that can kind of give you the same sort of euphoric experience that people might assume can only be found through things that are external to them.
00:21:23.233 --> 00:21:24.255
That's a big, it's funny.
00:21:25.036 --> 00:21:30.884
That concept is what allowed me to heal because my mother, because I was big on like when I heard about Dr.
00:21:30.923 --> 00:21:33.086
Sabia, I was like, I'm going to Honduras.
00:21:33.426 --> 00:21:35.951
I'm going to go get in the alkaline water, the hot springs.
00:21:36.010 --> 00:21:41.877
I'm going to go eat all the, you know, I was big on just getting there and like my healing is going to happen when I get there.
00:21:41.898 --> 00:21:44.362
And interesting for me.
00:21:44.993 --> 00:21:45.855
It's funny.
00:21:45.974 --> 00:21:49.681
I was on my way to Honduras, and I decided to do a stopover in Oregon.
00:21:49.921 --> 00:21:51.923
A week and a half after I made it to Oregon, Dr.
00:21:51.943 --> 00:21:55.087
Sebi was pronounced dead under some very mysterious circumstances.
00:21:56.049 --> 00:22:04.582
But I was devastated initially, and my mom was like, baby, she said, when God has something for you, it will come to you wherever you are.
00:22:04.662 --> 00:22:06.183
You don't have to go anywhere to get it.
00:22:06.924 --> 00:22:12.502
And I was like, but I need to go get in the tropical sunlight and get the earth.
00:22:12.962 --> 00:22:18.549
And it took me a bit to really understand that concept of like, it really is all inside of me.
00:22:19.211 --> 00:22:23.076
And when I adopted that concept, right, I was like, you know, I can't go meet Dr.
00:22:23.096 --> 00:22:23.497
Sebi.
00:22:24.458 --> 00:22:26.500
I don't know what's going on with his family and the property.
00:22:26.540 --> 00:22:28.403
I don't, you know, I was like, you know what?
00:22:28.442 --> 00:22:30.685
I have to do this for myself where I'm at now.
00:22:31.226 --> 00:22:38.547
And when I had that mindset shift of, I can do this, and it's something inside of me that has to shift and change.
00:22:38.707 --> 00:22:40.849
That's when everything, that's when I literally healed.
00:22:40.910 --> 00:22:45.757
That's when I, like, I stopped using money for, like, I went on, like, this whole thing.
00:22:45.896 --> 00:22:46.317
You know what I mean?
00:22:46.336 --> 00:22:47.960
Like, I stopped using money for a year.
00:22:47.980 --> 00:22:50.883
I was foraging my own food with my own herbs.
00:22:50.983 --> 00:22:52.726
I was learning how to organic farm.
00:22:53.727 --> 00:22:54.709
It was just a whole thing.
00:22:54.769 --> 00:22:58.093
And within that first two months of going on this journey, I healed myself.
00:22:58.252 --> 00:23:04.833
And it was because of that concept of, like, not seeking all this external things you know, healing or modalities or substances.
00:23:04.893 --> 00:23:09.498
It was like, figure out how to shift what's inside of me to create the healing.
00:23:10.818 --> 00:23:27.237
What I love about this is people listening to this episode might be thinking, oh yeah, well, I, you know, I maybe can't afford like organic or alkaline foods and I don't have the time to do X, Y, Z and all of this healing and go to Bali and have these journeys.
00:23:28.337 --> 00:23:31.741
But what they can do is breathe.
00:23:32.513 --> 00:23:33.796
And learn how to do it properly.
00:23:33.816 --> 00:23:35.198
Thanks.
00:23:35.519 --> 00:23:37.342
So what is the science behind all of this?
00:23:37.541 --> 00:23:43.111
What are some grounding facts that this breath can help people achieve or do or feel?
00:23:43.151 --> 00:23:46.234
Like you said, it releases DMT, but what does that actually do for people?
00:23:46.276 --> 00:23:47.577
That's a good question.
00:23:48.157 --> 00:23:52.565
So first thing is we're tuning into our breath and becoming present.
00:23:53.767 --> 00:23:54.808
Presence is everything.
00:23:55.349 --> 00:23:58.515
If you're not present, you can't be effective.
00:23:58.615 --> 00:24:07.547
Like if you want to, you know, If you're in the kitchen and you want to cook a meal, if you're thinking about everything that happened yesterday, you might burn yourself, burn the food and everything.
00:24:07.606 --> 00:24:10.290
So it allows you to become present and become more aware.
00:24:10.330 --> 00:24:16.641
Then when you become present and aware of your body, you can really tune in to what's going on in your arm, your leg, or whatever.
00:24:16.681 --> 00:24:23.290
Even if you go deeper, what's going on spiritually, psychologically, emotionally, and then start to create a shift.
00:24:23.411 --> 00:24:28.117
And the breath is the one thing that allows you to, when you think about your breath and you...
00:24:28.450 --> 00:24:31.074
Imagine breathing out or breathing in, you're fully present.
00:24:31.094 --> 00:24:33.277
You can't be anywhere else but where you are.
00:24:33.999 --> 00:24:36.162
So that's one of like the key things.
00:24:36.623 --> 00:24:46.657
So people may or may not know about somebody like Joe Dispenza who teaches about meditation and using gratitude and breath work and all these things to shift and heal.
00:24:47.799 --> 00:24:49.321
But it really, really works.
00:24:49.342 --> 00:24:53.848
Like literally being present with yourself, with your breath, right?
00:24:54.309 --> 00:24:58.731
Feeling what it would be like to get on the other side.
00:24:59.432 --> 00:25:03.939
Like if you're experiencing, you know, cancer, what would it feel like to heal?
00:25:04.140 --> 00:25:04.921
Imagine that, right?
00:25:04.961 --> 00:25:09.106
And then give gratitude for that moment, right?
00:25:09.166 --> 00:25:12.771
Imagine the moment you get your diagnostic sheets and you're like, you no longer have cancer.
00:25:13.051 --> 00:25:14.453
What would that moment feel like, right?
00:25:14.673 --> 00:25:15.295
And then breathe.
00:25:16.096 --> 00:25:17.238
Breathe into that moment.
00:25:17.538 --> 00:25:27.797
Like that's the best tip that I could ever give anyone is to be present with gratitude, no matter if it's for the future or for the present moment, something in the past.
00:25:27.936 --> 00:25:31.602
Ideally, give gratitude for what you're already looking to do, right?
00:25:31.622 --> 00:25:32.584
You're looking to heal.
00:25:32.604 --> 00:25:33.625
You're looking to grow.
00:25:33.664 --> 00:25:37.290
You're looking to change or get richer, whatever it is.
00:25:37.310 --> 00:25:38.732
Imagine it.
00:25:40.115 --> 00:25:40.915
Sit with your breath.
00:25:41.317 --> 00:25:46.384
Breathe into that feeling, right, of how it would feel to experience it, and then let everything go from there.
00:25:46.443 --> 00:25:47.405
Like, literally start there.
00:25:48.130 --> 00:25:51.816
I did a whole podcast on this and how to visualize.
00:25:51.875 --> 00:26:03.535
Go listen to that one because I talk about how when you actually visualize that end result, the goal that you have in your mind, your brain doesn't actually know if that's happening right now or not.
00:26:04.115 --> 00:26:16.948
So the more vivid you can be in your mental rehearsal practice, you're actually like preparing your nervous system to receive positive that goal, that that goal is your normal.
00:26:17.367 --> 00:26:41.640
But if you think about the reticular activating system in your brain, if you're teaching your brain to know that you are abundant and you are worthy of love and you are healthy and fit and energized, you're most likely going to see opportunities throughout your day that represent that belief back to you because we all have a brain bias.
00:26:41.721 --> 00:26:54.599
So if you are biased to believing that you're sick and that you're unwell because everyone else around you has told you that, how many people have been told that they're sick but actually feel super well, right?
00:26:55.020 --> 00:27:00.067
And it's like if you are buying into that belief, then we start to...
00:27:01.569 --> 00:27:08.178
go internal on ourselves and think, oh, maybe I have been feeling a little bit off lately.
00:27:08.218 --> 00:27:10.141
And we start gaslighting ourselves, right?
00:27:10.161 --> 00:27:10.240
Yeah,
00:27:11.942 --> 00:27:13.163
it's very, very true.
00:27:13.203 --> 00:27:14.865
And I love how you got scientific with it.
00:27:15.007 --> 00:27:15.626
You know what I mean?
00:27:15.646 --> 00:27:21.173
Like, yeah, even Joe Dispenza talks about, you know, you want to meditate and shut down the prefrontal cortex.
00:27:21.193 --> 00:27:23.237
And that's the area that has you in beta.
00:27:23.277 --> 00:27:33.346
And so if we go deeper and scientific, also what ResetBreath does is is it allows you to immediately tap into your delta and theta brainwave states, you know, alpha, delta, theta.
00:27:33.788 --> 00:27:41.460
And that's the brainwave frequency where miracles can happen, healing can happen, reprogramming the subconscious mind happens in that state.
00:27:41.500 --> 00:27:43.063
That's what we dream, right?
00:27:43.522 --> 00:27:48.451
And so that's what meditation, ideally, and breathwork is doing.
00:27:48.530 --> 00:28:11.151
00:28:11.632 --> 00:28:13.713
Family members who just, they don't know any better.
00:28:13.933 --> 00:28:24.140
But yeah, but there's a lot of science around it and that, you know, even aside from the science, I tell people, just go get an experience.
00:28:24.380 --> 00:28:29.685
You can do it by yourself at home, just start meditating.
00:28:29.746 --> 00:28:34.991
But if you know someone who's doing breath work or whatever, yeah, just do it.
00:28:35.353 --> 00:28:43.563
I really love the idea of going and experiencing this whole healing journey for yourself.
00:28:43.782 --> 00:28:49.569
We live in a society that conditions you to believe that what you can see is real and that's it.
00:28:50.465 --> 00:28:54.413
So it takes you out of your heart and into your head, right?
00:28:54.794 --> 00:28:56.637
So very logical, analytical.
00:28:56.718 --> 00:29:00.685
And there's so many clients that I work with that come to me that are all stuck up in here.
00:29:00.705 --> 00:29:07.097
They're like, Elise, I don't know which path or thing to do or take or decision to make.
00:29:07.137 --> 00:29:08.280
I'm feeling lost.
00:29:08.601 --> 00:29:08.701
And...
00:29:09.506 --> 00:29:12.651
I just encourage them to tune back into their heart.
00:29:12.931 --> 00:29:20.942
Because when you drop into your heart, like we've spoken about this whole episode is, you know, you moved from Chicago to London, you went to Bali.
00:29:20.962 --> 00:29:26.131
I moved from Australia to London, all from following my heart.
00:29:26.371 --> 00:29:34.343
But if I was to be logical about these decisions that I've made, I would not be sitting here right now with you having this really beautiful conversation.
00:29:34.383 --> 00:29:42.413
And so for anyone listening, I want to just leave you with just, follow your heart when these decisions come through for you.
00:29:42.534 --> 00:29:56.510
And it's like, if you're listening to this chat right now and you're like, something excites you about maybe potentially trying new foods or this breath work or just even meditating, anything, then just give it a go.
00:29:56.530 --> 00:29:56.611
Give
00:29:57.332 --> 00:29:57.652
it a go.
00:29:57.692 --> 00:29:58.373
Give it a try.
00:29:58.692 --> 00:29:59.253
Trust.
00:29:59.314 --> 00:29:59.934
You might like it.
00:30:00.275 --> 00:30:00.776
You might.
00:30:01.096 --> 00:30:01.797
You might love it.
00:30:02.137 --> 00:30:02.718
You might.
00:30:02.758 --> 00:30:03.638
Might change your life.
00:30:04.259 --> 00:30:04.319
You
00:30:04.339 --> 00:30:04.901
know?
00:30:04.921 --> 00:30:18.086
And for me, That was literally the argument I had with myself before I got started on this journey was I was walking through COVID time because that's all I could really do, right, is just walk.
00:30:18.527 --> 00:30:20.930
And I was experiencing major anxiety.
00:30:20.950 --> 00:30:24.574
So I was listening to podcasts for three hours every day.
00:30:24.594 --> 00:30:28.018
I would go for a walk for that amount of time because there's nothing else.
00:30:28.718 --> 00:30:32.782
And I was trying to figure out what was wrong with me through these podcasts.
00:30:32.823 --> 00:30:34.765
I was trying to logically figure it out.
00:30:35.938 --> 00:30:41.364
It was months of this to eventually I just pulled out my headphones.
00:30:41.523 --> 00:30:42.644
I was so frustrated.
00:30:42.765 --> 00:30:44.366
And I was like looking at the sky.
00:30:44.406 --> 00:30:49.672
Now for me, back then I wouldn't have called myself religious or spiritual at all.
00:30:49.992 --> 00:30:53.336
But I looked at the sky hoping something would answer me back.
00:30:53.375 --> 00:30:57.099
And I said, someone, something help me.
00:30:58.340 --> 00:31:02.865
And in that moment, I just looking back realized it was a complete surrender.
00:31:03.458 --> 00:31:08.325
And I just had this experience where I heard meditate, meditate.
00:31:08.945 --> 00:31:13.272
And my brain was like, nah, I don't believe in meditation.
00:31:13.313 --> 00:31:14.654
I don't do that.
00:31:14.714 --> 00:31:15.757
That's for hippies.
00:31:15.817 --> 00:31:16.817
That's woo woo.
00:31:16.837 --> 00:31:17.859
I don't have time.
00:31:17.900 --> 00:31:20.042
And it was like, meditate, meditate, meditate.
00:31:20.083 --> 00:31:23.989
So like you said, I was like, fine, I'll give it a go.
00:31:24.028 --> 00:31:25.010
I'll do one minute.
00:31:25.351 --> 00:31:28.236
And if I like it, then we can continue.
00:31:28.496 --> 00:31:30.960
But if I don't, then I don't have to ever do it again.
00:31:30.980 --> 00:31:32.122
So I did a minute.
00:31:32.961 --> 00:31:33.522
I liked it.
00:31:33.962 --> 00:31:35.445
So I kept going.
00:31:35.465 --> 00:31:37.489
And then now we're here today.
00:31:37.509 --> 00:31:40.272
This is exactly what I teach and what lights me up.
00:31:40.393 --> 00:31:42.736
But you'll never know unless you give it a go.
00:31:43.897 --> 00:31:44.679
I'm so proud of you.
00:31:45.380 --> 00:31:45.921
Thank you.
00:31:45.941 --> 00:31:48.423
If I wouldn't hold the mic, I'd give you a round of applause.
00:31:48.845 --> 00:31:53.371
No, because I'm serious because it's not easy to listen to their voice.
00:31:53.411 --> 00:31:54.573
You know what I mean?
00:31:55.013 --> 00:31:56.997
Listen to your gut, your spirit, whatever.
00:31:57.017 --> 00:31:58.018
Because sometimes it's a voice.
00:31:58.038 --> 00:32:08.740
Sometimes it's just your gut feeling where you can like, Something leading you, you know, and and I've had many a times where I did not listen very early on, too.
00:32:08.780 --> 00:32:10.624
And I paid the price for not listening.
00:32:11.025 --> 00:32:17.678
But I'm so happy to hear, you know, you listen and you followed your heart and you just said, hey, I'll just try it for a minute.
00:32:17.953 --> 00:32:19.194
And I even like what you posted.
00:32:19.214 --> 00:32:24.121
I think you did a challenge where you were doing your 21 day athletic challenge or something.
00:32:24.141 --> 00:32:41.481
So basically, for those of you that are either following me or you're not aware, every single day I'm showing up on social media and I am training my mind like an athlete until I achieve my goal, which is to do one of my workshops for a professional sport team.
00:32:41.826 --> 00:32:42.567
Oh, wow.
00:32:42.747 --> 00:32:43.147
Because I want to
00:32:43.167 --> 00:32:55.423
track the science of how this work can help improve not only performance, but also potentially reduce the likelihood of injury in elite athletes.
00:32:56.005 --> 00:33:04.457
Now, if I improved right in this data, then imagine what impact that could have on the rest of the world.
00:33:04.997 --> 00:33:22.703
So for me, I'm showing through this challenge One, not only that this work can help you achieve your goals by locking in mentally, doing your meditations every day, journaling, gratitude, et cetera, aligned action, but also I'm showing how this changes my life too.
00:33:22.743 --> 00:33:25.907
And I know I'm going to achieve that goal.
00:33:26.208 --> 00:33:27.911
So it's like, great.
00:33:28.411 --> 00:33:33.817
But also too, it's showing others that like how much it changes for me as well.
00:33:34.057 --> 00:33:36.701
So it's a win-win and I'm really excited.
00:33:36.741 --> 00:33:36.862
Yeah.
00:33:37.153 --> 00:33:38.115
It being the change.
00:33:38.395 --> 00:33:38.676
Yeah.
00:33:38.737 --> 00:33:39.538
I'm excited for you.
00:33:39.678 --> 00:33:42.442
And I love, so thank you for giving me the backstory on that and everything.
00:33:42.482 --> 00:33:45.568
Cause I was like, cause I was more like, what made her decide to do this?
00:33:45.628 --> 00:33:46.369
Because it's funny.
00:33:46.509 --> 00:33:55.005
One of my things that I journal, it's a really, it's really important to, to, to shift your belief system is to have the proper identity, right?
00:33:55.045 --> 00:33:58.391
A lot of our beliefs about ourself are rooted in, identity.
00:33:58.851 --> 00:34:02.295
So one of my identities is an elite performing athlete.
00:34:02.375 --> 00:34:02.976
So I write it down.
00:34:03.296 --> 00:34:07.201
So anyway, so I was like, yeah, she's got it right.
00:34:07.221 --> 00:34:13.188
That's the mindset because an athlete, you know, when you have that identity as an athlete, your athletes are like, yo, I'm up at this time.
00:34:13.208 --> 00:34:14.690
I'm eating the right way.
00:34:14.750 --> 00:34:16.271
I'm like, be wise because I'm an athlete.
00:34:16.351 --> 00:34:18.273
I have to perform at a high level.
00:34:18.735 --> 00:34:19.775
I can't slack off.
00:34:19.835 --> 00:34:21.338
I can't take days off per se.
00:34:21.358 --> 00:34:23.327
Well, You get your rest and recover.
00:34:23.427 --> 00:34:26.612
But I have active rest and I recover in this way.
00:34:27.034 --> 00:34:36.469
And so one of the things that you mentioned as far as like when you wake up and you have that tough day or you don't want to work out, you was like, I'm going to tell myself, just try it for five minutes.
00:34:36.949 --> 00:34:39.132
Just for five minutes and see how I feel.
00:34:39.152 --> 00:34:41.978
If I don't feel like doing it after that, at least I gave it five minutes.
00:34:42.378 --> 00:34:45.163
And so I think that's a very, very great tip for people.
00:34:45.603 --> 00:34:48.108
So try it for one minute as far as meditation and working out.
00:34:48.148 --> 00:34:49.630
At least try it for five minutes and recover.
00:34:49.922 --> 00:34:51.704
If you don't feel so good afterwards, that's okay.
00:34:51.724 --> 00:34:53.286
At least you did it for five minutes, you know.
00:34:53.306 --> 00:34:54.349
100%.
00:34:54.789 --> 00:35:02.039
And there's definitely different ways and vehicles to healing and becoming that best version of yourself.
00:35:02.079 --> 00:35:06.286
So if one thing doesn't work, doesn't mean that everything doesn't work for you.
00:35:06.327 --> 00:35:19.166
So I'd love to hear about like your story, Herb, and just like maybe some things that have worked really well for you and that maybe you thought would work well, but didn't.
00:35:19.873 --> 00:35:21.655
That's a good question.
00:35:22.597 --> 00:35:31.309
I thought certain places, you know, there's certain things, because I've traveled a lot, and I thought certain places would be like, oh, that's where everything is going to happen at.
00:35:31.690 --> 00:35:33.112
And that's not true sometimes.
00:35:33.172 --> 00:35:33.813
That's not true.
00:35:34.333 --> 00:35:36.777
For example, with music, you know, I moved to L.A.
00:35:37.217 --> 00:35:37.597
for music.
00:35:37.938 --> 00:35:39.300
I was like, you know, L.A.
00:35:39.360 --> 00:35:45.248
is a place to be for music and, you know, the best recording studios and this, that, and the third and the connections and all that.
00:35:45.469 --> 00:35:46.230
And it's funny.
00:35:46.786 --> 00:35:49.331
I'm looking to make a name for myself in music.
00:35:49.351 --> 00:35:52.295
When I get to LA, I made a name for myself in the healing community.
00:35:52.596 --> 00:35:56.041
I'm in the best studios and all the artists, but they're like, yeah, that's little Dr.
00:35:56.083 --> 00:35:56.804
Sebi right there.
00:35:57.164 --> 00:36:02.494
I'm honored that people know me for that, even beyond music.
00:36:02.534 --> 00:36:06.199
They're like, yeah, you need any tips on health and healing?
00:36:06.240 --> 00:36:07.983
If you're sick, go to Herb.
00:36:08.043 --> 00:36:08.664
Herb will let you know.
00:36:09.106 --> 00:36:10.288
And I was like, wow.
00:36:10.849 --> 00:36:11.309
And so...
00:36:11.713 --> 00:36:24.210
I still had success in LA in regards to music and things I recorded and connections I made, but it didn't give me what I thought I wanted in regards to what I wanted to achieve with music.
00:36:24.929 --> 00:36:27.552
But it gave me a lot of information, a lot of insights.
00:36:27.592 --> 00:36:29.094
And so, yeah, I enjoyed LA.
00:36:29.135 --> 00:36:29.835
I loved LA.
00:36:30.335 --> 00:36:34.159
And so that was one of the, I guess, places or things that kind of, you know, didn't work for me.
00:36:34.179 --> 00:36:41.887
But in regards to health-wise, what's something that I thought would work for me really well and it didn't necessarily work for me?
00:36:41.907 --> 00:36:42.648
I don't know.
00:36:42.668 --> 00:36:44.130
I've tried a lot of stuff, actually.
00:36:45.092 --> 00:36:49.717
Man, I guess it would be the plant medicine because I was very open to trying.
00:36:49.737 --> 00:36:50.438
Like, for example...
00:36:50.849 --> 00:36:56.922
I have experienced like micro dosing and using psychedelics.
00:36:57.282 --> 00:37:05.038
However, it didn't, it helped me initially, but it didn't give me what I thought I wanted to receive.
00:37:05.077 --> 00:37:12.092
And what I'm learning is there really isn't this one heel law, right?
00:37:12.472 --> 00:37:13.014
You know what I mean?
00:37:13.378 --> 00:37:45.061
um there's things that help you along the journey that'll give you great results that'll move you forward but there's not this one just you know heal all pill or one heal all method it's a combination of all these things and like for example even with my music now even though you know LA or Chicago weren't the places for me to like fulfill certain musical goals it definitely helped me In that way, as far as certain connections and certain information I learned and recording this song with that song, whatever.
00:37:45.121 --> 00:37:48.806
So it's always what I'm learning is it's a combination of things.
00:37:49.047 --> 00:37:55.536
Even when something doesn't work or doesn't work out that well, it's still teaching me and I'm still learning and it's still helping me in some way.
00:37:56.858 --> 00:38:03.146
A quote I actually saw today was failure doesn't mean that you are necessarily like far away from success.
00:38:03.206 --> 00:38:04.907
It actually means that you're really close
00:38:05.009 --> 00:38:05.208
to.
00:38:05.268 --> 00:38:06.110
Oh, I like that one.
00:38:06.338 --> 00:38:13.969
Because the more that you make mistakes, the more that you fail, it means that you are closer to success than someone who hasn't tried at all.
00:38:14.110 --> 00:38:14.570
Exactly.
00:38:16.213 --> 00:38:16.373
Yeah.
00:38:16.393 --> 00:38:17.054
Powerful.
00:38:17.275 --> 00:38:17.916
Very powerful.
00:38:18.476 --> 00:38:32.157
So I guess for the listeners who want to figure out how they can connect with you, how they can even message and get started, I know you have an e-book or something.
00:38:32.353 --> 00:38:32.954
I do.
00:38:33.074 --> 00:38:33.315
I do.
00:38:33.476 --> 00:38:34.858
How can they find you?
00:38:35.117 --> 00:38:37.942
Yeah, you can find me on Instagram.
00:38:37.981 --> 00:38:38.762
Herb is my name.
00:38:38.822 --> 00:38:39.885
Just all one word.
00:38:39.925 --> 00:38:40.846
Herb is my name.
00:38:41.266 --> 00:38:42.628
You can also go to my website.
00:38:42.929 --> 00:38:44.231
Herbismyname.com.
00:38:44.510 --> 00:38:45.773
That's a great place to connect with me.
00:38:45.813 --> 00:38:48.376
You can message me on WhatsApp through my website.
00:38:48.396 --> 00:38:49.358
You can email me.
00:38:50.079 --> 00:38:51.661
You can DM me on Instagram.
00:38:52.061 --> 00:38:56.148
You can also get my e-book on my website if that's something you're interested in.
00:38:56.188 --> 00:39:00.634
If you want a guide that would actually help you on your health journey, I highly recommend it.
00:39:01.730 --> 00:39:06.014
And also your music too, because like your lines, they're fire.
00:39:06.135 --> 00:39:08.556
So can we listen to your music
00:39:08.958 --> 00:39:09.318
anywhere?
00:39:09.398 --> 00:39:13.842
So I released a couple of songs on all streaming platforms.
00:39:14.403 --> 00:39:17.146
But majority of my music is on my own website.
00:39:17.186 --> 00:39:22.472
Go directly to my website, herbismyname.com if you want to get music from me.
00:39:22.512 --> 00:39:26.356
But yeah, you can check me out on Spotify or Apple Music.
00:39:26.376 --> 00:39:27.177
It's just Herb Young.
00:39:28.994 --> 00:39:31.338
So what's the next steps for you then?
00:39:31.559 --> 00:39:33.262
What's the vision?
00:39:33.422 --> 00:39:34.563
Where do you want to take this?
00:39:35.204 --> 00:39:39.351
Man, so the ultimate goal is to help the world become disease-free.
00:39:40.014 --> 00:39:41.677
That sounds super crazy, right?
00:39:41.896 --> 00:39:46.806
Healing is a very loaded, vague term, but disease-free is very specific.
00:39:47.233 --> 00:39:52.561
I would love to help as many people as possible experience what I experienced, like real healing.
00:39:52.621 --> 00:39:58.751
You know, I've had so many friends and family members who have passed away, who have actually died from curable diseases.
00:39:58.771 --> 00:40:00.893
Now we know that they were curable diseases.
00:40:01.114 --> 00:40:05.721
So when I, it was like the biggest light bulb ever went off in my head.
00:40:05.760 --> 00:40:13.813
Once I was in the doctor's office and I'm getting my diagnostics back and they're like, yeah, where's your tuberculosis?
00:40:13.833 --> 00:40:14.153
What do you mean?
00:40:14.173 --> 00:40:15.996
Because you know, tuberculosis is really weird.
00:40:16.016 --> 00:40:43.860
00:40:44.179 --> 00:40:45.802
Make it super affordable.
00:40:45.822 --> 00:40:46.242
You know what I mean?
00:40:46.282 --> 00:40:48.686
Like show people like you can just go and start forging herbs.
00:40:48.827 --> 00:40:50.748
You can go, you can do this on your own.
00:40:50.789 --> 00:40:53.052
You don't have to spend an obscene amount of money.
00:40:53.112 --> 00:41:00.282
You can really learn how to use breath work, how to use meditation and how to use, you know, alkaline food and alkaline herbs to heal.
00:41:00.322 --> 00:41:11.918
So for me, it's, you know, sharing my story via platforms like yours, using my music and also people that want to come in direct contact with me to use my protocol or my coaching services, whatever, whatever.
00:41:12.353 --> 00:41:17.541
In any way the divine says it wants me to contribute to the world, becoming disease-free, I'm willing to contribute.
00:41:18.682 --> 00:41:19.664
So beautiful.
00:41:19.704 --> 00:41:26.373
And with every guest, the last question is very intuitive.
00:41:27.514 --> 00:41:32.240
So I want you to tune into your heart when I ask this.
00:41:32.661 --> 00:41:41.534
But for everyone who is tuning in right now and listening, what do you feel the collective needs to know right now?
00:41:41.858 --> 00:41:46.150
I feel like right now the collective needs to know that you are pure love.
00:41:47.213 --> 00:41:48.016
You are love.
00:41:48.036 --> 00:41:51.586
You are whole, period, exclamation point.
00:41:51.626 --> 00:41:51.947
That's it.
00:41:52.027 --> 00:41:52.670
You are whole.
00:41:52.690 --> 00:41:53.291
You are love.
00:41:53.893 --> 00:41:56.079
You can do anything you put your mind to, you put your heart to.
00:41:56.119 --> 00:41:56.762
That's it.
