OM DETTA AVSNITT
This is the story of the 11:55pm rush at Tower Records. Whatever could those folks be buying?
We start the week with a look a look back at my time working in the fitness center at the Jewish Community Center in Rockville, MD. There were two members that made a lasting impression on me, and one is the subject of today's story - when two worlds met that were never meant to.
Enjoy a meditation on the social contracts we establish with the service strangers in our lives, our feelings of embarassment and shame, and the exciting world of adult entertainment. Take a trip back in time to when CDs were common, Blu Rays were novel, and Playboy was still a magazine. We're clocking in for a shift at Tower Records.
Today we're serving: One Wrong Turn
WHAT IS THE SLICE?
"The Slice" is a new single serving storytelling format where each episode is a new anecdote, and life itself is the adventure. Hosted by Jason Howard Heat, new episodes drop every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Subscribe and stick around if you love a good story. ENJOYED THIS EPISODE?
- Listen to the first half of this thematic duo of episodes, about the other fitness center member who carved a spot in history - Joe, the man who purposely exercised himself into a seizure on the regular. Enjoy the "The Elephant in the Gym."
PLUG OF THE DAY: THE MONSTER FACTORY'S TRL EPISODE 96
- Today's plug is for the replay of The Monster Factory's Total Rasslin Live Episode 96 from this past Friday. I was on commentary and had a ton of fun, and did some of my best work there so far, alongside David Goldy and Brian Murphy. The replay is available on their YouTube channel
