If your practice is losing patients to missed calls and front-desk burnout, you're not alone. Most independent practices miss around 30% of incoming calls, that's 30% of your patient pipeline walking to the clinic across the street.

GoTo Connect consolidates your phones, patient messaging, video visits, and scheduling into one platform that helps you stay HIPAA-compliant. AI receptionist. EHR integration. No IT team required. Built specifically for physician-owned practices.

Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing how physicians evaluate new business opportunities, and in this episode, Dr. Mike Woo-Ming explains how healthcare entrepreneurs can use AI as a practical "chief of staff" to dramatically reduce the time it takes to validate ideas. Rather than spending 10–20 hours conducting market research, competitive analysis, and business planning, physicians can leverage AI agents to transform a single industry article into a comprehensive, decision-ready report within minutes.

Using a real-world example from an AMA report on wearable health data, Dr. Woo-Ming demonstrates how AI identified a validated market gap, generated three physician-friendly business models, ranked them by risk, and uncovered updated Medicare reimbursement opportunities that the original article overlooked. He also highlights how AI can identify legal, regulatory, and operational questions that physicians should address before launching a new venture.

He concludes by sharing practical guardrails for responsible AI use and challenges listeners to begin using AI to reclaim valuable time, improve decision-making, and uncover opportunities that may already be sitting unnoticed in their inboxes.

Three Actionable Takeaways:

• Your inbox may be your most overlooked source of business opportunities: Industry newsletters, professional association emails, and market updates often contain validated problems, emerging trends, and unmet needs. With AI, physicians can quickly transform these signals into actionable business insights.
• Use AI to compress weeks of research into minutes: Modern AI tools can perform market analysis, identify competitors, generate business models, and uncover hidden opportunities, allowing busy physicians to evaluate ideas faster and make more informed decisions.
• Think of AI as a Chief of Staff, not just a chatbot: The newest generation of AI tools can research, summarize, plan, and execute multi-step tasks. When used responsibly, they can become valuable partners in entrepreneurship, practice management, and productivity.
