Between Sundays Podcast: that for an intro? tell you what, man, that we can let's play that again. like it. I it. Set around night and got to thinking and then I started going, you know, the first clip. there's three preachers ⁓ used in that clip. one's Billy Sunday. Three. Very good. Yeah. The second and fourth one is both Cody's horn and then the third and the fifth is both, ⁓ Stacy shift I was like, what if I took some snippets them? Cause I know how much you hate doing the intro. I don't it. I'm like, well, why don't we just, why don't we do this? when I finally the finished product, I couldn't wait. sent it to you and I'm like, well, what do you think? Yeah. And I listened to that and I thought, I thought you'd, was like, Zach's not some, you know, Zach's not wanting to pay somebody to do something like that, but it's amazing what you can do. And you're the one who, like I said earlier, before we started, you're the one that keeps and always says, ⁓ I'm not good at technology. I'm not. That's that's something that's Well, can't do that. I bought a webcam and I couldn't even figure out how to pull it up. I'd plugged it in. You can make something like that. was sitting there with Caitlin yesterday and I'm like, how does this work? Like, I don't get it. Guys. This is literally the blind lead in the blind. We know God's hands in this because we've recorded and uploaded over 30 episodes. Speaking of over 30 episodes, we let y'all down. Um, uh, yeah. We were supposed to record down at the King James research Institute, conference. And tell the story with that here in a second. But then last week brother will was sick. Yeah. And we couldn't, we couldn't get it done. And, so we've, we've left you hanging there, but we were, we got down to the conference and went through a couple of sessions and then it was time for the. evening to be done and, were hungry. Our hotel room was outside of Winston Salem. hadn't ate since nine that morning in Candler and we're sitting a red light, getting ready to turn to go find the hotel. And I heard crunch and then I looked in the rear view mirror and they were piling up. So we got in little fender bender. Everything was okay. But by the time we ate, got to the hotel room that night, it was like, there's There's no way we'll record. Well, yeah. mean, and then before that we had, before we even got to supper, had how many different places did we had stopped at? had stopped it probably five, five different places. Yeah. Four, five. got to tell the story about the one. We're hungry. get down where the ⁓ close where the hotel is and we're walking up. to we had bought ChickTrack from Gullions and we were loading those up. And I mean, people were going through the drive-through left and right. This place looked good. like a fried chicken, Southern cooking. Yeah. This is the kind of place that, you most of the time you're going to be happy that you stumbled upon it. Yeah. Like a hole in the from the outside though. looked nice. It was, yeah. Yeah. And as we're walking up, we both caught it at the same time and the sanitation score was a 90. And let me tell you guys something. If you guys have ever been somewhere to a restaurant and you see that the sanitation scores are 90, which is still an a by the way, they are on a 10 point scale. Um, I remember in school, we were on a seven point scale. Um, a 92 was a B, but that's a different story for a different day. But the 10 point scale on the sanitation rating is scary. But in my opinion, If anyone's listening and you ha and you work in a restaurant or you have before you got to try to get a 90. Yeah. That's like band-aid found something like that. That's severed finger in the chili. is is severed finger in the Wendy's chili. Yeah. That's what that is. So I was like, we're too far away from home to get food poisoning or something. So let's just go somewhere else. We've got a big day tomorrow. You better not get sick. So that was a late night and we didn't get to record. So we, we failed in that, that we had promised from the last time we got to record. And then again, sickness took over last week and well, we said, said we were going to ask people down there. If maybe they were, there was no way that would have happened. No shot. Cause it was go, go, go, go, go, go. And I know everyone that was there, they all seemed. hired or worn out or they just wanted to eat and then go. And then the one person that we wanted to possibly get on the show, he ended up not even coming. Cause what was his anniversary or something? 15th year anniversary or like that. So Caleb wasn't even there, but it was still great. was such a blessing. like I talked about, or I'd mentioned it a couple of episodes ago or something, man, the I don't know how else to explain it besides the devotion truth earnestly earnestly seeking the truth and earnestly contending for the faith and it's like mix between I like I said, I don't even want to use the word academia because academia is in there but There's some scholarly study, it's just, the academia stuff's in there just by default. Cause it has to be, it's a, it's a necessary means. It's not the, main function of ⁓ they're doing what they're doing or how they're doing what they're doing. man, there was some good speakers. was some good, stuff there. Even the ones that you may have had questions about. Yeah. Some of the, I'd say some of the titles further sitting there going, what does this even mean? like to learn certain things that, that I had no idea about that guy who got the award. wish I could remember his name. Davitro. Yeah. Yes. Yes. Davitro, Dr. Davitro, who kind of looks like Danny Davito, but that's how I remembered it. But, yeah, man, he was, it was great. It was great. So if you guys ever have the opportunity, to or read a book by any of those men, which you can get that information very easily on a Google search of who those men were and the people that, do that. Maybe in description we'll link the YouTube channel because I think all the sessions are on that. That's what I'll do. But man, those were, and it wasn't just sitting there kind of like you have to sit and slog through the information of Like you said, the necessary evil of having to learn the history. It's so engaging and it's, it's so much, it's so rewarding when you just see God's hand everything and him just placing things the way that he sees fit and the way that it's supposed to be. Why is it supposed to be that way? Because that's the way he did it. And something came from that. And, if don't know who Brandon Peterson is, you need to look him up. got a YouTube channel. I'm trying to remember the name of it, but, he, he wrote a book called sealed by the King and he goes into all these, numbers that, take place within the King James Bible. thank you for that book by the way. but he, he brought a valid point in a video I was listening to yesterday is the fact of. His video ⁓ was dealing with, there that like translated the NIV who soaked it in tears and soaked it in prayers? He said, I believe so, but the Holy ghost. has to be a part of it because it's His words. It's the words that He inspired. And it's not just the manuscripts contradicting themselves. It would be the Holy Ghost contradicting Himself that if He said, is what I say the Word of God is in 1611, now is He going to say that the Word of God is something different in 2011? He said, well, here's the deal guys. If we're going to hold to this original autographs only. how do we know what the 10 commandments were? Because the original autographs that God's finger wrote of the 10 commandments, Moses ⁓ them. then Moses did second one still by the finger of God to be able to write it down, it got sealed in the Ark. So do we we have the art? about ⁓ in Jeremiah when writes down and then it gets thrown away? What about in Ezekiel when he eats it? Like we're. Are we able to actually have, because if it's original autographs only, then we've never had a Bible. No, there's no such thing as a Bible because never once in the span of human history has all of the original autographs been able to be compiled into one room. And I thought about that and I'm like, so yeah, I guess we don't know what the 10 commandments are because the originals were broken. how can we know? You know, how, because of copies of faithful copies of faithful copies. always, I always just go back to the two examples that. are from the New Testament. You got Timothy and the Ethiopian unit and the Ethiopian unit. Yeah. Either Paul was wrong when he told Timothy that you know and have read the scriptures. So either Timothy was reading a copy of a copy of a copy he had the original scripture or Timothy had the parchment, the animal skin that most. And if you know anything about those, Do you know how big they were? Oh yeah. they had to throw them up on their shoulder and carry them. then the Ethiopian eunuch, they say, well, I guess that boy broke into the temple and stole the stroll of Isaiah into the temple and stole it. No, but it, and, and in 52 instances in the new Testament, the word scripture is used. a time is it referring to the original, the original autograph. Um, yeah. So, I mean, that just, that's a little snippet there, but I thought that was interesting. The Brandon making that point about, know, if the Holy ghost is involved in both, how could he God them that way? And then even today, God, the ESV translators to this God, the NIV translators, the CSB translators to this and be, be in the hands of that word. Even if you draw it from the. I'm doing air quotes, people can't see me older manuscripts. is the litmus test right here. This is the easiest way to say, okay, somebody's wrong here. have to be get ⁓ King James, an NLT, an NIV, a CSB, a ESV and a NASB. Use the 95 because that's the one that they use. And go look at Hosea 1112. Yep. That right there is the, that, that should be, if we're being honest with ourselves, that should be the point where we should sit back and be good Bible discerners and be Bible believers and go, something is a mess here. What are they saying about? Yeah. because Judah is either with God or unruly against God. And then it's either the Holy Ones, the saints, or it's the Holy One, all caps. That's a lot of big differences within the text. that's the question to me is if we're drawing that text from the same source, let's out on a limb here and let's say that Older manuscripts are what they say older manuscripts are for people that don't know how they've dated that they dated off of a practice known as paleography, which is literally the human eye going, okay, this is Greek writing written in unseal form. So that's all uppercase Greek. spacing in it matches what it would look like. It is, it is the human. It's it's human subjectivity. Yes, there are some, argument you know, there are some I guess you could call them baselines, but either way it's still human. It's still human subjectivity. Yeah, exactly. you know, if, ⁓ if, if, if those did come. Older, why would, if that's where all of the newer translations are drawing their points from, why would they disagree so much just in one verse right there? I mean, it literally. has different readings, to go into like, just for a second here of in Hebrews chapter 11, where it says Abraham blessed Jacob and Esau. But then in modern translations, you go back in the Genesis and he curses Esau. we're, and, and El Hanan killing Goliath, Jesus not going to the feast. their purification, all these things, and it hit me this morning. I guess we were supposed to talk about this for a minute. The argument of, it's easier to read. Well, you're proving to me that you're not reading it because you're not seeing the glaring contradictions. It may be easier to read, but if it's easier to read and you go to John chapter 7 and you see verse 8, then you see verse 14, you go, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. I go to second Samuel 21 and I go, I've been told since I was a little kid that David killed Goliath. Now it says El-Hayn and killed Goliath. Oh, I'm reading about the patriarchs and I'm reading through the old time. I see where Hebrews 11 like, okay, I'm doing a Bible study. I'm going through the roll call of faith, the people that are listed there. And I go back to cross-reference where it was. that these events transpired, you know, I see Rahab is being mentioned. So I go back to Joshua 2, then I see Jacob and Esau are mentioned and I go back and my Bible says in Hebrews 11 that he blessed both of them. But now in Genesis, I see that he cursed Esau you're like, wait a minute. So it shows me that we're not reading them. Even if you've quote unquote made it easier to read. You're still not studying it. Yeah. I always equate that to, know, the difference between listening and hearing. Yeah. It's like, yeah, a lot of people can hear what you say, but are they truly listening? And people may to this and go, why are you still talking about this? Yeah. I'm, I'm concerned for ⁓ the in today. But if, if the Lord tarries his time and doesn't return by the time that my kids get older, and then if they are blessed enough to have kids and I have grandchildren, I'm worried about what it's going to look like to them. Not worried. I'm scared because I'm not going to be worried about it. I'm just, I'm scared. What's going to look like because so much is changing and it's so subtle that ⁓ have to study it you have to see it to, find those things out. Which shows me we're not. shows me we're not being students. Anyway, that's just, that was on my heart this morning. So the other thing that's on my heart is this is best week of the year. goes from the worst week of the year into the best week of the year because of the pain and the agony and the suffering and the, just the tumultuous time that our Lord and savior went through. But praise be to God, Sunday morning, we get to honor his name and worship him for the resurrection. that We have victory over death through Him that the tomb could not hold Him. We have hope. have. We have blessed hope within the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And this is the time of year where people begin to invite people to church. know, at Christmas, people want to go. At Easter, people want to go. Those type of things. And a word to help people with this, that... What you're going to hear and what you've heard many times when you invite people to church is you start getting just a plethora of excuses. are, ⁓ there is an excuse for ⁓ single thing that could come up. Family in town timing of it, got this going on, you know, it could somebody sick and I'm not saying we'll just, you know, let them come in the back and throw up. But no, there's a difference between truly being sick and then saying you're sick. Sound like an old football coach. There's hurt and injured. Yeah. If you're hurt, can play. If you're injured, need to go to the Um, or, I just don't do the church thing or I got hurt by church and I want us to be steadfast in what we're doing and understand that that's not something new. Um, and I heard this example given and I absolutely love it. And excuses, a lie wrapped in a reason. So at the end of the day, what you should say is, no, I don't want to go instead of trying to make all these excuses. And we see an example here in the parable of the great supper in Luke chapter 14 verse 16, says, then he said unto them, speaking of Jesus, a certain man made a great supper and bade many. So he's inviting as many people as he can and sent his servant at supper time. So understand that's, that's evening time. And in this culture, when they would eat like the day's work is done. It's not like you come eat supper and then you've got a couple more hours. go out, this is it. So it's supper time. It's late. Work is done. it says, and servant at supper time to say to them that we're bidden, come for all things are now ready. So it's just like with us inviting people to church, come with me because everything's out before you. Whether you are saved and you're backslidden, whether you've never been saved. Come with me because everything's ready. You don't have to bring anything to the table. He's there. He's ready. And they all with ⁓ consent began to make an excuse. So excuse is a lie wrapped in a reason. Listen to the first one. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground and I must needs go and see it. I pray thee have me excused. Let me ask you a question. What person buys land and has never viewed it. It's not like they had Yeah. In those days, you had to go and view. You're not going to purchase even today. I don't care if I've just seen pictures. If I'm buying a patch of land, I'm going to go walk it. I'm going to go view it. I'm going to go put my hands on it. I'm going put my feet on it. So basically what you should have just said was I don't really want to go. I don't want to go eat. because there's no sense in saying I've bought land and I got to go see what I bought. No, you're going to know. And another said, I've bought five yoke of oxen I go to prove them. pray have me excused. So ⁓ work done. It's supper time, but you've went and bought oxen and now you got to go make sure they're going to be able to till the field. ⁓ another about that excuse. I mean, you're, you're in the first century. are so valuable, so and ⁓ has around since. Yeah. You know, the garden. Yeah, obviously. and so what person, same thing would buy something or make that big of an investment five times. Five, right? ⁓ Five oxen. Same No, five yokes. So that would have been 10. 10. Okay. Yeah. So who's going to buy 10 oxygen? Cause if one has a lame leg, just one. Yeah. So that's 40 legs. If one of those legs is lame, that's going to mess everything up. one is shifted to one side, one shorter, then you're just going to go in circles. Exactly. So now at evening Todd, when all the work's done now, I'm going to go test them out. So then verse 20 and another said, I have married a wife and therefore I cannot come. Now, I don't mean this disrespectful. What woman does not love to go to a wedding? I can just hear it. Well, I can hear the excuses of, it could been, you know, still first century. That could have been the typical Jewish. You know, arranged marriage, all this. no, those things happened over weeks. Yeah. Weeks and marriages, those marriages were long to like those were long. We can see examples of those in ⁓ scripture. Yeah. But just to your point, what woman doesn't love get dutyed up, get the dress on, go eat a good meal. ⁓ have that night, we're going to use it as a date night, that type of deal. Cause that was one of the only times that women could step out of the house. Exactly. So why would that be surpassed over? He I pray they have me excused. then, verse 21, so that servant came and showed his Lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry, said to a servant, go out quickly into the streets in the lanes of the city. and bring in hither the poor and the maimed and the halt and the blind. And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room. Amen. may talk to family members this week and try to get them to come to church and they may begin immediately the excuse change. Excuse Well, seems that family members and. close friends give you the most excuses? Yeah, because they know you're going to not push on it. You know, you're going to accept it. So, you know, if you invite somebody to church because it's resurrection Sunday and you're wanting to have them there because you want them to come in contact with the words of God being preached about how our savior rose from the grave, how he defeated death, hell in the grave. how we have hope for eternal life because of the blood that he shared during this week and then claimed victory over all of it. You can get discouraged. the father in this instance ⁓ God it, angry when those excuses come back and well, God be angry. Listen guys. You want to believe in God's pure love. You want to believe in his pure grace. You want to believe in his pure mercy. Well, if you believe in all those in their purity, you must believe in his pure judgment, his pure wrath. Yep. At the great have them without exactly at the great white throne of judgment, there's going to be wrath given out. It's the great white throne of judgment. There's going to be judgment given out all of those times when the books are open, all of those excuses that you may try to give in that moment. are all going to fall short because God's going to be able to show you through His written Word where it is. Well, I didn't know you were there. Well, my creation shows the glory of me. Well, I thought I could just be a good person. Well, my Word says there are none righteous, no not one. No man is good. Why do you call me good? Those things are going to be without excuse. There's no excuse there. But not get heartbroken over that and get discouraged over that because you can see the command that the master gives later. Verse 23, and the Lord said unto the servant, go out into the highways and the hedges and compel them to come in that my house may be filled. Are you just asking somebody to come to church or are you praying about them before you ask? are you compelling them to come to church? When's the last time have you heard inviting someone to church described or said as compelling someone? Exactly. It's not just handing an invite card. There's earnesty there. There's really, really want you to come with me. could compel them, not just communicate with them that you would like them to be there. But the, the, the non discouraging piece here is, is even if those people that you go to first reject, don't get discouraged. One, you should pray for them to, you should compel them to come. I'm not saying push them. Don't in that moment go with, don't come with me. You go into hell. They're going to run away like a bullet, then don't get discouraged. Go find the ones that I mean, anybody. It says, and bring hither the poor and the maimed and the halt and the blind. Go into the highways and the hedges, go everywhere. people to come worship God, inviting people to come hear the preached word, inviting people to come into a house of God to worship Him in spirit and in truth and to see souls get saved in that way is just in your extended family. It's the lady at the gas station. It's the guy bagging your groceries. It's so and so that you're standing in line with at the store. It's that person you're standing in line with outside the DMV or whatever. Trust me, you got plenty of time with them to be able to invite and to not just invite and not just communicate, but are you compelling them? Are you? not begging, but are you pleading? you showing the nature of not just, well, it's Easter, come to church with me. But you been on your knees praying for them saying, Lord, help soften their and hearts and bring them with us. And when I go give me the words to speak to not just ask, but to compel them. And when they reject and they refuse, keep going. Don't get discouraged through it. Cause that can happen this time of year as you begin to invite people to church, they don't show up on Easter Sunday and you go, man, and get discouraged from it. Still be burdened for their soul, but don't get discouraged and go to the highways, go to the hedges, go out to the ones that I tell you right now. There's people I've come in contact with in my life that I could look at and go, they ain't a soul ever invited them to come to church with them. Yeah. not a soul, go after those people as well. I just, the Lord laid down on my heart a little bit of encouragement, especially a week like this when, when that's going to be the case for a lot. And a lot of people begin to think about this time of year going in and attending church. Alright, so if we'll transition. going to get back to the book of Daniel. Get back to the book of Daniel. ⁓ and by the way, if you're listening to this, prayerfully we can get it out before... We've got, what Will, four services this week. We've got night, Thursday night and Friday night all at six o'clock. And then we've got sunrise service Sunday morning at seven that you're preaching. And then we've got worship breakfast following and then worship service there at 11. so there's, there's plenty of opportunities to come. We'd love to have you. It's Jonathan Valley Baptist church. and love to see you there. We're going to go through a lot of good things this week, talking about our Lord and bringing, bringing these words, ⁓ his word in to describe what he went through this week and then be able to shout the praise this Sunday morning for the victory that has been won. ⁓ I'll this posted tonight. Perfect. Because tomorrow starts those services. All right. So Daniel four very interesting chapter in the book of Daniel. it's, it's different because we have a, different human ⁓ author the penmanship here. we transition from Daniel who's written the first three chapters and then we'll, we'll end up being the human author from five to 12, but who, who has given us this account in chapter four? This is written by King Nebuchadnezzar, which is very interesting that God would allow the wicked, man of Babylon to be able to write this account, but there's, there's a purpose for it. And you what this would be called? This is almost like the, the whatabouts, know, God Balaam. God used Judas in certain ways. Well, God used Nebuchadnezzar here for a way bigger purpose than what we could ever and what we could ever imagine. And of the things that sticks with this chapter that I think is very important that ⁓ I fallen into before is Nebuchadnezzar becomes focal point. He becomes the centerpiece and it's like the ⁓ debate and talk it here at the end of Did never can Ezra get saved is never can Ezra right with God? never, I mean, there's, you look at, know, depending on where you read, depending on different, also what I was going to say is depending on if you go outside of the text to get a little clarification, depending on who is giving you an interpretation of commentary or whatever that, that answer can be very Very vast. it can be sound biblical teachers that will tell you he a hundred percent got saved. then you'll have another sound biblical teacher that looks you square in the face and goes, absolutely not. So the end of the day, the Holy ghost has to interpret this us and guide this through us. Cause it's not the words of man that we need to carry. It's the words of God. I'll give you my take. And it's funny. I say, I'll give you my take after I say, don't listen to the words of man. But I'll give you the reasons behind it. I don't believe... Well, you're not in position... I'm just reading what the Word says. I'm just interpreting the Scripture, not through private interpretation, but being guided and exegeting the Scripture. I don't believe that He was. I believe Nebuchadnezzar can be a very, very clear picture and typology that we can see today ⁓ of false sounds good, looks good, says the right things is doing the right things. But at the end of the day, there's some very key details missing. Which if if you look through it, through that point of view and you're looking at the in times implications that this has, and the and similarities and else when it comes to this and the book of Revelation and all the things that are going to happen are false confessions not rampant. ⁓ yeah. And it's the seducing spirits and the doctrines of devils that have come in to deceive many. And it's like when we were preaching there a couple Wednesday nights ago about the seven seals being opened and that first seal how many people are misguided in Revelation chapter six, verses one and two, to believe that the first seal that is open is the Lord Jesus Christ, when it's the Antichrist, and you go, guys, if you can read this be misguided and be deceived into thinking that that was the Lord, how much more would it be to people who are seeing these things happen in front of them? How much more is it going to be when He comes declaring himself in that way. If you reading it, I'm talking about saved people. Yeah. Reading it and getting misguided. the lamb's the one open in the seals. He's the rider on the white horse from revelation chapter 19 and the of Armageddon. He's not the rider because what is the anti-Christ supposed to do? He's supposed to mimic Jesus. He's supposed to come as the one who is the savior. He's supposed to come as the one that It says I can fix everything and I can solve everything has this view and this look of being like Christ even though he is the antithesis that. But I think the main point here too, like we were earlier, Will, is this is not for Nebuchadnezzar. This chapter is not about... Nebuchadnezzar. Nebuchadnezzar is the way to interpret what the chapter means, but I think the main point of emphasis is verse 19. Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, which we'll go into that here in a minute, but you Nebuchadnezzar still is referring to him as the name that he gave him of one of his false gods. need to count that up. How many times is he calling him Belteshazzar? I think it's two or three. I verse eight for sure. And then there in verse 19. He never just says Daniel. No, because he says, he says Daniel, and then he always says whose name is or who's known exactly. Cause like, uh, right here in verse eight, but at the last Daniel came in before me and you're like, Oh good. He's whose name was Belteshazzar. Like, okay. So, you know, the questions start to arise and then I'll get back to verse 19. Well, is that contextual purposes for the people in Babylon to be able to understand who he was talking about? I don't think so. I think it's just. That's still what he believed. Yeah. I think that, I think it's just showing, Nebuchadnezzar is the authority. He is, he's still polytheistic. Yeah. He has changed Daniel's name and that's what I will know him as. And that's what I'll call him. Cause in the text, verse nine and verse 18, just said, just, because he's, he's relaying to them. ⁓ you know, he's relating to who's reading this, what he called him as. Like that's the in-text citation of what actually took place of him saying, no, I never called him Daniel. So in verse 19, it says, then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was astonished for one hour. And his thoughts troubled him. The king spake and said, there's another example of it, ⁓ Belteshazzar, Let not the dream or the interpretation therefore trouble thee. Belteshazzar answered and said, Lord, the dream be to them that hate thee and the interpretation thereof to thine enemies. If you notice of Nebuchadnezzar's first dream in chapter two of the statue, he says, I will tell you the dream and I will tell you ⁓ interpretation. He's given it directly to him. This shows me right here that tail end of verse 19, everything that's in chapter four, Nebuchadnezzar is the means to get there, but it ain't got nothing to do with him. It's to those that hate the and who are his enemies. Now, let me ask you a question, Will. 570 BC, who would hate Nebuchadnezzar and who are his enemies? Now, remember he's conquered the Assyrians. The Babylon is this big, beautiful kingdom. mean, everybody's been conquered. Everybody. It's, it's a massive empire. Who would hate him and who would be his enemy? That would be the Jews. It would be the Jews that are in his under his captivity. Also here in this, it's a little something that, the Lord kind of said, maybe, he's so quick. Nebuchadnezzar is so quick and it almost seems excited. To tell Daniel, he tells Daniel a dream. He doesn't let Daniel tell it back to him. Yeah. Like he did the previous chapter. And me is that is the thus were the visions of my head in my bed is that Nebuchadnezzar saying, I get it. Your God's all powerful, but let me just tell you what I You don't need to interpret it. Could it also be? him going, Hey, now the last time you told me that I was ahead of gold. Yeah. Let me tell you this one. So you can, you can give me back the, the, the good stuff that I want to hear. me go ahead and get it out that way. You can tell me this interpretation. Let me see what kind of blessing I'm going to get out of this. Yeah. you notice too, we, talked a while last week. We were going to record, then we got pushed back. So we've had a long time to study this text. Also in verse 19, if he was astonished and his thoughts troubled him and it was for the span of an hour, what do you think Daniel's doing here? He's probably literally sitting, standing. He's just probably staring off into space. Probably get his mouth open. I don't know. don't know. Here's what I would say. Daniel prayed on the front end of the interpretation of chapter two. the decree that the, that Nebuchadnezzar was going to kill all the wise men unless they could say it. And then he got together with Hannah and I as a Ryan Michail and they prayed and he was able to interpret the dream. I think right here, ⁓ the lost man, Nebuchadnezzar, if, if I were to tell you, okay, I see what you get. a lost doctor. Okay. I'm agnostic. got nothing to do with anything with God. I tell you some bad news about a family member and for one hour you're sitting there. sitting there. I dropped my head. You drop your head. I would say, man, he's astonished and really troubled, but he's praying. So, for, Nebuchadnezzar to look at this, he's thinking, ⁓ no, don't be troubled. It's that bad. It's kind of like the burden that Nehemiah carries when he's before Cyrus. you know, Cyrus goes, cause he's his cup bearer and he goes, ⁓ troubling you? Yeah. And you know what he ends up doing right there? He ends up praying out loud before him. Yeah. And it's all about prayer, but to the lost world, you'd see that as like, if, I was there worrying, if I'm in, if I'm in fervent prayer in public, my head's bowed ⁓ and head be shaken. It's going to like I'm pretty troubled. Yeah. And it astonished him so much that he had to go remove himself. had to take a step back. What Daniel's doing there, the way I see that is praying. His thoughts troubled him. So it's obvious. Nebuchadnezzar I sees him as sitting there. He's not, he's not praying out loud. He's trying to talk it through his head. You know what I mean? Yeah. He's in, you know, deep Yeah. You could say, but. What Daniel's truly doing is praying. Cause what did the prayer of his Babylonian gods look different? Was it always recited? Yeah. Was it this, you know, how, what was the practice that maybe something we need to look at? But to me, I'm sitting there going, yeah, if somebody lost was to see somebody in fervent prayer or seeking the Lord for counsel, they would think, ⁓ man, that guy's just, he's going through it right now. mean, it. But if you look back along those lines, anytime, any kind of respect or kind of, I guess you could say praise ⁓ has given to a human or to a person or to a God, they start off saying something like, King, or say their first name. So it seems like it would be, I mean, it seems like someone's going to even in that culture, praise pray or anything along those lines of thanks or anything like that. They would start it with that long out loud of the yeah. decree of what saying. Yeah. And maybe that's how they started their prayers out loud with that, that, that decree. all the hell married full. sorry. Yeah, exactly. That's what I was trying to say without saying it, but I'll do it, put a bigger target on me. Well, it's, very obvious. It's Babylonian practice, but, yeah, you see what I mean? Like it's, it's very boisterous. Yeah. Maybe that maybe that's how those prayers, you know, take place in Babylonian culture. and then Daniel just got quiet and went and retreated into his prayer closet sitting right there. Just the way Nehemiah did. Well, and then, you know, a couple of other things that we can look through, like going back to verse eight, and then we'll give the context here in a minute. I know we're kind of bouncing back and forth. This is what we do guys. He says, according to the name of my God. And then he says, in whom is the spirit of the Holy gods, plural. And then down here in verse 9, he says, O Belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods in thee. Now, let me ask you a question, If somebody was not saved and we're giving an account of what their life was before, they don't go, well, and what I was running around and I was not professing your God, um, I didn't trust in your Jesus. They'll say, I didn't trust in Jesus. I didn't believe in God. I didn't do what the Lord had commanded me. You don't speak about it in like past tense and take yourself back into that. You can talk about how rebellious you were. can talk about sinful you were. And all these different things, but you, like, you would say, if, if, if I had got saved and we're talking to you about the experience, I'd say, well, I never wanted to read your Bible. Yeah. I would say, I never wanted to read the Bible. see how I'm talking? Like I would, I would phrase it in that way. So yeah, there's no ownership. Right. And it's like that continued thought and what, what I believe at the end, I guess I'm skipping ahead way too much. is that Nebuchadnezzar believes God exists. When say God, we mean Jehovah. And that he's all powerful. But he's now at the top of the list and all the other gods that he knows of. ⁓ It's polytheistic. It's like he's he's usurped. He may have been after the event in the fiery furnace and after the event of the interpretation the dream in Daniel chapter two. ⁓ He may have been at like spot four. Well, now he's at spot one, but here's the thing, guys. When you're a true believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and you're worshiping the one true God, they ain't no others. No, it's, think, think Nebuchadnezzar, if was alive today, he would be a quote unquote Christian who does, who uses crystals. He would be a Christian who's ecumenical to say, listen, ⁓ Judaism and and Christianity. You know what? Here's the term I had to teach in school, and I found ways to loophole this. First Amendment violation, I guess. That all Abrahamic faiths. And Allah Jehovah and all of No. No true Bible believes that mess. No. You're not going to profess the name and say, Allah and which? Guides? To be quite honest with you, is the way Billy Graham spoke at the end of his life. ⁓ yeah. Absolutely. All that is, is ecumenicism that you're forsaken the right way. Well, I can't believe you just said that. It's the truth. Go back and look. It's the truth. why are we, we don't need to hold men in higher reverence than we hold God's word and who God is. It's the truth. I mean, when... When he would say, religion is, if you had an experience or you want to be saved, if agree ⁓ you want to be with the Catholics more, there's a Catholic priest down here. Yeah. ⁓ If you more with the Buddhist, there's a Buddhist monk down here at the, at the edge of the stage, you know, there's Muslim down here at the edges. That's not. that it be, if you were in that soul and you forsake that and come over here. Now, did a lot of people get saved? Is Billy Graham in heaven? Absolutely. So there's the but let us not men to the point where believe men become infallible. Yep. that's all I'm saying with that. probably just lost three subscribers and people are going to be angry with me, but It's, it's, it's the truth. Yeah. Do your own research. That's all I gotta tell you. So what's, what's the story here? What's taking place? I'll read verses one through three Nebuchadnezzar, the King and all people, nations, language and languages that dwell in all the earth. Peace be multiplied unto you. You know what that almost sounds like? sounds a little Paul Ian there. It almost sounds like the way Paul would begin. ⁓ his epistles, I thought it was good to show the signs and wonders that the high God hath wrought toward me. Now, contextually speaking within this text, if we look at verse 19 and we can determine who those that hate thee in the interpretation, and then we can cross-reference it to 1 Corinthians 1.22, there are signs and wonders. And who are signs and wonders, too? that kind of answers the question about who that's being written to ⁓ what's the main focus. The main focus is not Nebuchadnezzar. The main focus is the teaching through what is taking place with Nebuchadnezzar to the Jews. Well, because it's not just mentioned once. Go to the next verse. And in verse three it says, great are his signs and how mighty are his wonders. So, I mean, that it all the way back, y'all, to the book of Exodus of Moses standing there going, how are they going to believe me? All right. Cast your staff down, turn into a snake, put your hand inside of your robe, pull it out. It's covered with leprosy. Put it back in, pull it back out. It's, it's, it's clean. Those signs the hardening of Pharaoh's heart is not to go on a Calvinistic ramp because Pharaoh hardened his heart way before God ever hardened his heart. Go back and read Exodus five to Exodus seven. You'll see how that works. But those signs were not for The signs are for the Hebrews that were down there. The Jews a son. And to put this in here to do this. I think, you know, we're talking about, like I said, I told you I watched little teaching on this and I've got to say it because the way Dr. Robert said it, the very first, the last line the very verse peace be multiplied with you. Now this is a guy who has just... Absolutely ruled with an iron fist done nothing. Conquer, conquer, conquer, conquer, conquer. And then he has the gall to sit there and say, peace be with you. Yeah. So people look at that and they say, look, changed. He's changed. But in all reality, you can sit there and you can say, he is more high and mighty than ever before. That's more dangerous than. ⁓ Him not just saying who he is. Yeah. The, the flowers and the spiders and the snakes in this world that have some type of venom and can be poisonous and, very harmful and even deadly to humans are the ones that don't give their characteristics away right off the spot. Like if I see a black spider in my garage and it's got the little red underbelly, I'm like, If I walk in through the woods and I start hearing that rattle, a copperhead lays there and looks like the leaves and no warning mechanism. Like those are the things you got to watch out for. It's better for him to just go come right out and say, it, could go a lot with the false teachers today. Just go ahead and go ahead and do it. Yeah. that's, yeah, that's another thing. It's it. L- look at the, look at where it shows, you know, present day. yeah, services are held that people gather on Sunday morning, they come to worship, they sing songs. There's a man up there. He's reading verses of the Bible and it is straight out of hell. I'll tell you last night and I'll just say, love my wife to death, but she, she loves her reality TV and you came last night because you had an issue with your water here and you need to take a shower and that's. neither here nor there, but there will be people that say that episode of American Idol last night was a worship service. Yeah. When when you were there and you saw it, they were, ⁓ was, that guy was singing quote unquote a worship song. That's what they called it. That's not what we call it. Not what I call it. I know that's not what Zach calls it, but, then they turned around like the next person saying like, imagine By John Lennon. what I mean? Yeah. It was so ecumenical. then they had the, the, the viral, little black boy. don't know if you've him. He, I think he was on Steve Harvey or whatever. And he's like the little black preacher or whatever. they had him on there all throughout the show, you know, and at one point before got there, and I need to tell you this at one point, they all stopped and. ⁓ right after they came back from a commercial and mini preacher kid. And I think that kid is as earnest and as honest as he can be. They're just using him, unfortunately. But he led everybody in a prayer. Yeah. Right there on national TV. And so I think some people are going to say, that was, that was almost a worship. That was a worship service, but you've got to have the determined to realize what was the theme last week. To be singing about exactly what's the Hawaii last week? What's the thing next week? What we were talking about. What's what is the thing? It fits perfectly. It's Easter week. Yeah. Okay. Here we go. do it. And you'll sing that song within the very next week. You know, if it's country Western week, you're singing about getting drunk and looking at women with lust and doing these things. There there was people singing John Lennon. was people singing cold play. I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if someone came out and sang Bon Jovi, living on a prayer. they said, Hey, look, see, that's one right there. It prayer. says prayer. Exactly. It was, you could, world is so lost. You could go through and be like, Hey, you know, I was honestly waiting on jelly roll to walk out. I really was. ⁓ thought can't somebody didn't sing chop Suey by system of a down. It quotes on the cross and Psalm 22 doesn't it? You know, that's But, mercy, mercy. I I don't even know. We were talking about world, the false teachers and how, yeah. And how y'all are getting this real time. Sorry. Yeah. The false teachers and how the ecumenism that that's that we see in the book of revelation and how honestly Nebuchadnezzar people think that you know he he's almost like a wolf in sheep's clothing. like he said the right things. the right things but there's no fruit. There's no fruit. There's no fruit. There's a lot of action and no anointing and last night everybody said the right thing. Well, certain songs did. That's what people would say but what's the fruit behind it? What's the motivation behind it and that's what I was getting at and that's that's a very great and invalid point. Some people might cut it off now. The bow dared you to, loved it. Carrie Underwood sang a hymn. I get it. Carrie Underwood sings hymns. that's not a worship service. Well, didn't jelly roll recently come out and talk about how Jesus was a criminal and he broke laws and did this and did that. It's like, just, but give it, give it time. Like where, where's all that? This is it's all superficial. This is why we have to be rooted. In the word of God, there's a revival taking place. Look at all these TP USA chapters opening up. Oh, kid rocket, the halftime show. Oh, jelly roll with the Grammys guys. The Holy Spirit don't move as a flash in the pan. He don't. He's a consuming fire. He's not a bottle rocket. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. And, and, there's got to be fruit that comes from that's why these revivals as Barry. Ohio state, Auburn, Tennessee, Kentucky, all of it builds up. Where are we at now? pay. You're right. Here's thing too. It's spring break right now. How many of those kids, you know, that were at that revival God's still working with them. So how far can we permit sin by saying God's still working with somebody? How much, how much can it go? And is there conviction there and is there repentance there? scares me the most is we have all these professions of faith and then they ain't ⁓ discipleship following it back. nothing coming behind it. nothing, nothing bringing those people along to where they're not just still on. If they did get saved, that there's not just milk fed walking around thinking, well, carnal lifestyle. And then. God chastens those who are his read Hebrews chapter 12 when bad things happen. Where are you turning? Where are you turning? I that Jesus thing. It just didn't work out. It just, ⁓ it flat after a while. That that's to me. And it goes back to what we said there at the beginning about even the Bible translation. Do you know the word long sufferings taken out in the word patients there? Yeah. Now, ⁓ If you're waiting on your wife to get ready or you're sitting in the line at McDonald's, you're having to be patient. not long suffering. Long suffering is there is something that should given and been postponed. Well, it's got the word suffering. Exactly. There's a difference in patience and long suffering. I can be patient about a lot of things, but there's not a lot of things I've been long suffering about. God is long suffering. Is he patient? Yeah. But long suffering is if, if, if that's what makes grace grace, because God's justice should be nobody goes to heaven. justice should be that nobody gets to call on his name. God's justice is that ⁓ And not saying, well, God's not just in that. No, that's what makes grace grace. That's what the mercy mercy is we ain't getting what we deserve. And people that they can skirt by and keep moving by and keep going through life and it never coming to a head, it will one day. It most certainly will. We got to get back to Daniel for here in a minute. So this is Psalm 50. Listen to verse 21. These things has thou done. And I kept silence. This Lord speaking these things you've done. I've kept silence though. Thou thoughtest that I was all together such in one as thyself. Somebody does something wrong to us immediately respond. thinking the sub that This verse right here, Psalm 50 verse 21, is where you take somebody when they say, well, if God's such a good God, why does all this stuff keep happening? says, these things that things has Thou done, and I kept silence. Thou thoughtest that I was altogether such as one of Thyself. Well, if I get upset, I take care of it. Why wouldn't God do that? Remember, his thoughts are not our thoughts and his ways are in our ways. But ⁓ will reprove thee. and set them in order before thine eyes. going to be corrected by it and it's coming. Now consider this. Consider Pay attention. ⁓ Exactly. attention. Ye that forget God, lest tear you in pieces and there be none to deliver. Who so offer praise glorify me. And to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I show salvation of God. These people too that you see like street preachers and they come walking up. They're like, if God's real, do something right now. he doesn't bend the human will. You ain't, you don't conjure God. You provoke God. You don't tempt God. You don't tempt God. Cause they sometimes, you ever seen that clip of Brandon Robertson when he was preaching and he said something heretical and then all of sudden lightning struck the building and everything went dark. And he was like, that is not judgment of God. Yes. Yeah. You know, church, need to be thankful church. I everybody that is listening is in church. Yeah. that God we're not NADAB and a Bay Hoo. we're not the sons of Korah. That we're not Ananias and Sapphira. That not Uzzah. I was gonna say Uzzah. Like that we're not them. Those are given as depictions and warnings and those things in scripture because everyone is guilty of every one of those things. We've went holiness ⁓ unclean and what God hadn't told us. We've messed around with strange fires. We've tempted God because we want to usurp power. We've lied and grieved the Holy Ghost by saying, no, I'm doing all this for the glory of God, knowing that I'm keeping something back. We've, we've touched an unclean thing. Be thankful and gracious for the long suffering God. Yeah. Absolutely. So urge everybody to go back and read the entirety of this chapter because it's 37 verses, but we're going to give a breakdown going back into Daniel 4 that basically Nebuchadnezzar is laying in bed and this dream comes and notice something here too. This is very telling. After he gets the dream, which in verse 5 it says, which made me afraid and the thoughts upon my bed and the visions of my head troubled me, what does he do in verses 6 and 7? First thing he does, or he says, well, I'll just read it, but makes a decree to bring all the wise men of Babylon. He does it for he wants to get all the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, soothsayers. Same thing. These guys, uh, they've got to, I'm going to tell them the dream. Um, but they need to tell me the interpretation. Brother, you have seen a dream that you can't remember. Understand that's a difference in Bible translations too. The King James details. He couldn't remember the dream. Other versions make it sound like, you got to tell me the dream. And then he gets the dream prophesied to him perfectly. Then. He sees the fourth man in the fire. He sees the Lord Jesus Christ pre incarnate in there with them boys in that fire walking around, walking around, didn't even smell like smoke. Now he gets another dream. And what does he do? See that? That's a definition right there. fruit at point right there. As soon as I couldn't get back to sleep, I'd been like, exactly. and then it says, but at the last, at the last Daniel came in before me whose name was belt to shazar belt shazer, according to the name of my God in which ⁓ is spirit of the Holy gods. And before him, I told the dream. saying, ⁓ Belteshah is our master of the magician. So we got to give a little pat on the back right there, which, you know, like I said, that that could be the Babylonian culture. That's what it could be. Belteshah is our master of the magicians because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in the and no secret trouble with the tell me the visions of my dream that I have seen. and the interpretation thereof. in there he says because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is the and no secret trouble with thee so still ⁓ after he's seen and that's I think it's a hierarchy and like we said it's I think shows that hierarchy in Nebuchadnezzar's mind of The little little G gods. OK, but your gods at the heart, you know, at the top. doing research for this. He claims they're in a what is it, verse two? That the high God. I wrote here, notice the phrase in other passages of scripture, while proclaiming the name of God as the most high God, you got Genesis 14, 18 through 20, Genesis 14, 22. Psalm 78 56 earmark this Daniel 3 26 Daniel 5 18 Daniel 5 21 Mark 5 7 Acts 16 17 Hebrew 7 1 He says the high God instead of the most high God, but what is Daniel 3 26 say? Then Nebuchadnezzar came near the mouth of the burning fiery furnace and spake and said Shadrach me shack and Abednego you servants of the most God come forth and come hither then Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego came forth of the midst of the came forth of the midst of the fire so So he's seeing that miracle and he makes The right profession there that yeah, but but here's the thing. Where's it go here? Here's here's Luke chapter 8 Verse 27 and when he went forth to land There met him out of the city, a certain man which had devils long time and wear no clothes, neither bowed in any house, but in the tombs. And when he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell down before him and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou son of God most high? even the demon right there, the legion of demons were in that man. said that he was most high. What does James 2.17 say? Thou believest there is one God thou doest well. The devils also believe in tremble. we're not getting the here that Nebuchadnezzar is saying. Jehovah is most high. There is ⁓ one only God. going back what we were talking about earlier, if I was given profession, I would not say, you know, and my and still using it in like a, a ⁓ present tense pronunciation. would be saying my God that I believe in this was my not this is how named him because that's my God. That's my God. So the is, is there's this great tree, giant, beautiful tree. says in verse 10. Thus were the visions of mine head in my bed. saw and behold a tree in the midst of the earth and the height thereof was great. We could go really deep into the midst. But you can see the height thereof was great. The tree grew in verse 11 and was strong and the height thereof reached unto heaven and the site thereof to the end of all the earth. The leaves thereof were fair. and the fruit thereof much. And in it was meat for all. The beast of the field had shadow under it, and the fowls of the heaven dwelt in the boughs thereof, and all flesh was fed of it. Verse 13, I saw in the vision of my head upon my bed, and behold, a watcher and an holy one came down from heaven. He cried aloud and said thus, Hew down the tree and cut off his branches, shake off his leaves and scatter his fruit, lest the beast get away from under it and the fowls from the branches. Nevertheless, thank God for the nevertheless. the stump of his roots in the earth, even a band of iron and brass in the tender grass of the field and let it be wet with the dew of heaven. and let his portion be with the beast in the grass of the earth. Let his heart be changed for man's and let a beast's heart be given unto him and let seven times pass over him. So this tree, you could look and you could say, okay, we can see the midst of the earth. the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was in the midst of the garden. which I got to give a shout out to Hunter here. He was telling me about one of the Bible Institute studies that, you realize that there was a tree in the midst of the garden and there were two thieves in it. Yeah. Like ⁓ there's a in the midst. There were two thieves with, cause they took from it when they weren't supposed to that I was like, man, that's pretty good. this tree here, we can look and see things of, of Jesus prophesied in it where it's going to be hewn down, but the stump is going to be left and then there's going to be produced. But It can't be Jesus where his heart would have to be changed and would have to do those things. This tree is Israel. that they were the ones like in verse 11 that were able to reach unto heaven and the be blessed from it. All nations would be blessed. That's the promise fulfilled that that we are brought in and grafted into that spiritual blessing from Genesis chapter 22. that all the nations would be blessed. notice that the stump is left and it's going to be seven Passover hymn. That's what me. Because if you look at this passage of scripture, what does Jeremiah 30 verse seven talk about? A time of Jacob's trouble. This is telling the nation of Israel, you're in this captivity and you're in this bondage. But just as I prophesied to Jeremiah, you're going to come out of it. Israel right now from Romans chapter 11 is in a time of blindness, seven times Passover. Well, this started this, this passage of scripture started in five 70 BC and then by five 63 Nebuchadnezzar does this. He gets a beast's heart. ends up having long fingernails and his hair's all ragged and he's walking around and he's eating grass like a animal. Very trouble. Yes, and after seven years, it about there, the end of the days in verse 34, I never can ever lift it up my eyes unto heaven, and it says in verse 34, and at the end of my days, I never can ever lift it up my eyes unto heaven, and my understanding return unto me, and I bless the Most High. You know what that sounds like to me? Sounds like the book of Zechariah chapter 13 in verse six, is another verse that's changed to where what are these wounds in your, you between your arms? What are these wounds in your chest? What are these wounds in your back? This is when Israel will look upon he whom they have pierced and once she'll say unto him, what are these wounds in nine hands? And he shall answer. those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends. Awake, O sword, against my shepherd and against the man that is my fellow. And saith the Lord of hosts, smite the shepherd and the sheep shall be scattered, and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones. And it shall come to pass in verse eight, that in all the land saith the Lord, two parts there shall be cut off and die, but the third shall be left therein. We can continue on here. It talks about the day of the Lord in chapter 14, get down to verse four, and his feet shall stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives. This is when they'll view. This is when I believe Isaiah 53 will be proclaimed. Because if you notice Isaiah 53, it talks in past, present, and future tense. The tree is the nation of Israel. It's been hewed down because of disobedience. Blindness has come. But after seven times, Passover, after seven years, they will see and they will understand that's tribulation period. Yep. That's tribulation period. And what you look at. Well, to backtrack a little bit. ⁓ go ahead. first 15 even with a band of iron and brass. That is bondage. what ⁓ it's almost well, but you got to think about it, too. It's almost a protection because I did just look this up while you were while you were talking real quick because I said back in Babylonian times, back in the, you know, BC era, why would they put a band around a tree stump? Mm And it would be to keep it from splitting and it would be to keep it from splitting and being destroyed over time and going away. Yeah. So, it can't be scattered. has to be brought in. has to be brought in kind of like the nation of Israel. Exactly. Praise the Lord. Yeah. But you notice that band that's put around it is brass and iron. And if you continue to read through the book of Daniel and even what we've read thus far, ⁓ amazing. Yeah. Yeah. Can't be scattered. It has to be brought in. Now think about this too. Daniel's 12 chapters. So let's work from the front and from the back. chapter one, Daniel chapter 12, two, 11, three, 10, four, nine. Well, what does chapter four talk about? It talks about seven times pass over him. What does Daniel chapter nine talk about? It's the 70th week versus 24 through 27. It's the 70th week of Daniel, that time of Jacob's trouble, that time that's going to happen where the anti-Christ comes on the scene. Temple is rebuilt and in the midst of the week, go to book of revelation, 42 months, 1,260 days, three and a half years. it is. And brought back. That's amazing. Yeah. Cause that, like I said, I was that. Real time guys, you know, I was sitting there going, okay, the band, why would, why would you put a band around? be in one central. It has to be in the same location. to keep it from destroying and you know, splitting. Yeah. That's That's amazing. God, man. Real time. You see, you see, guys, what happens when you just dig, you dig and you ask God to earnestly because before start every episode, what do we do? We pray, we pray and. I just...yeah. then move into Nebuchadnezzar himself, because again, clearly with revelations like that and things like that, he's not the primary focus of the chapter. But let me read you here a very, very famous passage, well-known Proverbs chapter 3, verses 5 and 6, Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not on to thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Verse 7. Be not wise in thine own eyes, fear the Lord, and depart from evil. It doesn't seem to me that Nebuchadnezzar at the end of this departed from evil. No. It's what we... And then also too, you can read verses 34 through 37, and there is a great, beautiful proclamation, but there's something missing. There's something missing. Every time in the Old Testament... when something was done and there was an Old Testament version of salvation, was a sacrifice made. And what does Hebrews 9.22 say? And almost all are by the law purged with blood, and without the shedding of blood, there is no remission. So I've a little note here in the margin my Bible in Daniel chapter four. Where's the blood? He hasn't departed. can tell. where's the blood? think, know, I ask, the fruit? Where's never can desert fruit. Well, and there's a very fruit of this, a very obvious thing to show ⁓ why there no fruit it because chapter five begins with bell Schazer with the writing on wall. That's his grandson. And in that short period of time, what legacy did he leave exactly his grandson? Exactly. So therefore what legacy did he leave? Biltashasar father? Yeah. So his son, and then that's all going to get passed down. So what where's, where's the fruit? Exactly. Yeah. That's a very abridged version of chapter. There's so much more we could, we could dive into, but a couple episodes. yeah. Not even get to the bottom of it. we can spend from now until the Lord comes back just in this one. Yeah. but it's a great contemporary. It's a great side beside. heard one person, ⁓ one preacher say one time the book of Daniel's the book of revelation in the old Testament and the book of revelation is a book of Daniel in the new Testament. And if you notice how the Lord did that, this is the brag on him for a second. When we were doing that, previously, and we were doing our studies on Wednesday night and we were doing our studies on Sunday morning, it felt random and by chance, we through the book of Daniel on Sunday mornings, the book of revelation. It was perfect. And there was just so much crossover and so much link between the two. That's why. If you say that these things are in past tense, and all's fulfilled. If you take that radical preterist view, we got to read our scripture. That's not John Nelson Darby. That's not Clarence Larkin. That's not CIS go field talking. That's the book. That's the Yeah. So glory to God, Yeah. I hope we did that justice. That kind of maybe a little scattered with, but y'all were getting it real time. had already been over this multiple times, but then there was just more like that right there that about the band. That's, that's amazing. Absolutely. That's amazing. much, much else to say. Yeah, I mean, it's uh, God is good, man. And what a week we're halfway through. Um, almost halfway through this week and But yeah, but Zach, let's read. Well, we can after we pray. I was going to say we can reiterate plans. Yeah. For church and all that. And if, and here's the thing too, and ⁓ do it after you pray. Okay. Lord we come to you again and we're, so thankful for your word. We're so thankful for your sweet presence being with us. We're so thankful for your spirit guiding us through. Every bit of this study today, Lord, even the preparation time and the things and the cross references that we had done beforehand, Lord, right here in real time, you are revealing things to us and I'm so thankful. I'm so thankful that we even have the opportunity to read your word. There's been many in the past that didn't have that, Lord, and for that cause and how blessed we are to be able to sit here and have your preserved. inspired, infallible, inerrant word before us to be able to upon. Lord, you said that you would judge us by the words of this book. And Lord, we must know what's in it, Lord, if we're going to be judged by it. And I'm just so thankful, Lord, for this time that you've been able to guide through this. And I'm thankful for what this week represents. This is our hope. This is what 1 Corinthians chapter 15 speaks of and that we know that there is victory over death. We know that that tomb was empty on that morning and remains empty to this day. Lord Jesus, for what you did for us, that that you spent in agony in that garden, the mocking the scourging and the smiting and the spitting upon that you bared for and the scourging that you bared for us and all that you did to fulfill things that we could never do to then on glorious morning rise again. save our souls from damnation that we deserve. You took the justice that we deserved and you gave us the redemption we have. You gave us your righteousness. What a trade that was and we can never honor you enough for it. Lord, I pray that you be with those that have listened to this today. Lord, help them to be strong. Help them to invite people to church. Help them to share the gospel. And Lord, even when people rebuke it, and even when people come with excuses, God, to not get downtrodden from that, but to continue on and continue to live in your grace and your mercy because you offer it to us. Lord, I just glorify your name for what you've done today, and it's in our blessed Savior, our one and only Lord Jesus Christ's name I pray. Amen. Amen. Yeah, what I was, I was going to say is, so I know, and here go excuses, but Easter, resurrection Sunday, as we're going to call it from now on. but a lot of people make it a time to go see family and, You know, reconnect. And I know a lot of people do their Easter egg hunts and all that with their family or at different places. So I would say you have ample opportunity to come and hear the gospel this week. Cause like you said earlier, we have almost five services, ⁓ services, five, whatever you want five. ⁓ Tellings of the gospel five times to get together with the people of God in the house of God and it held the story That never gets old. Yep. Yeah, that's it. I can't say no better than that. But yeah, so Wednesday night Thursday night Friday night at six six ⁓ end when we get done. Yeah. Yeah, go to whenever and if it keeps going well You know, prayer is that a revival starts the the week of Holy Week But, and then Sunday morning, 7am, got breakfast ⁓ at, o'clock or whenever I get done preaching. So it might earlier, but, Yeah. And then we've got Sunday school and then we've got 11 o'clock, but yeah, Jonathan Valley, Fabric Church, be an honor, be very, very honorable. ⁓ got nowhere to go, or if you want to just hear some extra, come on. Yeah. invite, just bring yourself, bring a family member. bring your book, bring your because we're going to be in it. but yeah, man, what a week. What a week. Best week ever. Amen, buddy. Well, we thank you guys and we love you guys and see you next week.
