WEBVTT
00:00:03.520 --> 00:00:08.080
All the CMC family around here, we have more than 5k people already listening to us.
00:00:08.240 --> 00:00:09.759
So warm welcome to everyone.
00:00:09.839 --> 00:00:21.760
All the gents, the farmers, the haulers, the day traders, the guys that were and were not affected by everything that happened later last week in crypto, you know, like hacks, big exchanges, and that kind of stuff.
00:00:21.920 --> 00:00:26.800
I think end of the day, no user is going to I mean suffer the damage of it.
00:00:26.879 --> 00:00:40.320
But I mean, we all I mean, I think in in a way or another, you were affected by it, either by the news, either by like changing your funds from where they are to another place, or to just like second guessing what you're doing with your crypto and how you're hosting it.
00:00:40.479 --> 00:00:48.079
So um, I mean, I just want to tell you that we are here to try to comfort you, give some updates on it, and that everything is gonna be fine at the end of the day.
00:00:48.159 --> 00:00:52.960
But you are now listening and potentially watching the weekly crypto forecast by CoinMarketCap.
00:00:53.119 --> 00:00:58.240
I'm your host, Gabriel Zani, and together with me today I have Jonathan CMC's content lead.
00:00:58.399 --> 00:01:01.039
Jonathan, I know you shared a little bit already, but how are you doing?
00:01:01.119 --> 00:01:01.840
All good, all final?
00:01:03.200 --> 00:01:08.640
Doing well, doing fine, you know, getting ready to look at the charts here.
00:01:08.799 --> 00:01:11.680
Bitcoin, we can talk about whether Bitcoin is doing fine or not.
00:01:11.840 --> 00:01:14.879
Uh, that's a whole other conversation that I think we're gonna get into.
00:01:15.040 --> 00:01:19.359
But me for myself, yeah, doing uh doing well here on this Monday morning for me.
00:01:19.680 --> 00:01:32.159
Good to know, good to know because I saw some people here in the live chat talking about quant, and we are going to go over that on the TA section today, not just BTC, but also a little bit of quant, some context for everyone that is like living in a cave, doesn't know what's going on.
00:01:32.239 --> 00:01:37.840
We're going to tell you exactly what's going on with quant and why the tokens pumping, what's happening there.
00:01:38.000 --> 00:01:49.280
But just for the listeners or new listeners out here, just know you can catch us live every Monday by just downloading the CMC app, turning on the notifications, and we will let you know every single time we go live.
00:01:49.439 --> 00:01:55.840
In case you rather go for another option, just know that all the episodes are waiting for you here on the CMC Live Hub.
00:01:55.920 --> 00:02:02.640
You can assess that both from your web um CMC website and from your application on your phone as well.
00:02:02.719 --> 00:02:05.760
You can just go to community lives and you'll find us there.
00:02:06.000 --> 00:02:15.599
But in case, I mean those two options are not a thing for you, you also have a third option at Spotify, Apple Podcasts, whatever you listen to your podcasts, you can also find us there.
00:02:15.680 --> 00:02:18.719
And if you do, make sure to rate and give a review.
00:02:18.879 --> 00:02:20.319
But Jonathan, let's kick things off.
00:02:20.400 --> 00:02:22.960
How bullish are you feeling about this week?
00:02:23.120 --> 00:02:25.120
I know the prices are not doing well.
00:02:25.280 --> 00:02:30.800
I mean, to kick off the Monday, but potentially we're gonna have some fluctuations, some volatility this week.
00:02:30.960 --> 00:02:35.919
So, I mean, just dive into it as I share my screen here and you let us know how you feel about it.
00:02:36.159 --> 00:02:36.879
Sounds good.
00:02:37.039 --> 00:02:40.879
So, yeah, uh, I guess as Gab pulls up and shares the screen here.
00:02:41.039 --> 00:02:49.199
First of all, just a reminder, in case you are just joining, uh, at least here on the desktop, it's showing uh Alice as the co-host.
00:02:49.280 --> 00:02:51.120
Uh, I am not Alice, I am Jonathan.
00:02:51.280 --> 00:02:55.599
Just to explain that, uh, it it uh yeah, it is it is me.
00:02:55.759 --> 00:02:56.719
It is me, Jonathan.
00:02:56.800 --> 00:03:00.240
I I am now Alice for for worse, I suppose.
00:03:00.400 --> 00:03:04.560
I was gonna say for better or for worse, but I think it's mostly for worse because Alice is pretty cool.
00:03:04.639 --> 00:03:14.879
But yeah, uh pulling up the chart here, I will say that to the question of how bullish am I.
00:03:15.439 --> 00:03:26.960
If we look at the uh charts here, I'm gonna do my best uh to again channel my inner Alice here to do a good job in sharing all this data for you.
00:03:27.199 --> 00:03:37.360
If we start with just looking at Bitcoin, you can see that Bitcoin is sitting at around$83,000 and maybe 38 cents sorry,$83,038.
00:03:37.919 --> 00:03:45.680
So we are down 1.75% over 24 hours and 3.8% over seven days.
00:03:45.840 --> 00:03:57.759
So, however, I guess I would say I'm slightly less bullish than I was this time last week when we watched Bitcoin, you know, jump from like 80k up to 87k.
00:03:58.080 --> 00:04:07.520
However, having watched these last two uh pumps over the last you know couple of months or so, we've kind of just rocketed, rocketed up.
00:04:07.599 --> 00:04:10.400
And a lot of them have occurred on Mondays as well.
00:04:10.560 --> 00:04:12.879
So I am certainly not holding out.
00:04:13.120 --> 00:04:14.400
What am I trying to say here?
00:04:14.639 --> 00:04:21.920
Uh I I I am hoping maybe that we get another one of these kind of rocket liquidation short squeeze pumps.
00:04:22.000 --> 00:04:24.000
I think it's certainly possible, maybe not today.
00:04:24.160 --> 00:04:38.879
I have no idea, but I've not fully lost my bullish energy just because we are down from 87k, because looking at the last few weeks has shown me that all it takes is a few hours to kind of shoot us back up to get a short squeeze and shoot us back up again.
00:04:39.120 --> 00:04:48.959
And all it takes sometimes is some new announcements from the FC, the uh from uh an American regulator, let's say, to get some of that bullish energy pumping again.
00:04:49.040 --> 00:04:55.120
But it is perhaps we are coming down a little bit from the uh energy that we had post-Clarity Act and uh regulation.
00:04:55.279 --> 00:05:01.600
So continuing looking down, we've got Ethereum up, uh, sorry, down 3.83% over seven days.
00:05:01.759 --> 00:05:13.279
Sorry, that's Bitcoin down 3.1% over seven days, B down 5.77%, XRP down 1.22%, Solana down 0.5%.
00:05:14.480 --> 00:05:17.199
So generally, we are a bit in the red.
00:05:17.360 --> 00:05:24.000
I will look at the seven-day top performers in just a moment here, but first let's look at the broader market status.
00:05:24.160 --> 00:05:27.600
If you want to click into the uh market overview, Gab.
00:05:28.319 --> 00:05:29.759
Sure enough, I'm going there.
00:05:30.240 --> 00:05:38.800
And yeah, we will see that uh we are still very squarely in the greed zone.
00:05:39.040 --> 00:05:49.759
So regardless of Bitcoin being down just a tad, you know, I think it's down when it fell like five percent or something from its uh sixty-seven thousand dollar recent high.
00:05:49.839 --> 00:05:54.079
We are still firmly in greed territory at 69.
00:05:54.720 --> 00:05:59.759
We are also still in an altcoin season at 61.
00:05:59.839 --> 00:06:06.560
Now, some of you may notice last week that when Bitcoin was dropping, altcoins were pumping.
00:06:06.720 --> 00:06:12.399
And so you'll see in the altcoin season chart that we are still in an altcoin season.
00:06:12.480 --> 00:06:18.319
Now, you'll see here that Gab is showing below here the top 100 coins over 90 days.
00:06:18.480 --> 00:06:30.319
So, again, there are always good performers, even in what somebody might consider a bear market or not as bullish market, uh, or in conditions that are less favorable for Bitcoin.
00:06:30.399 --> 00:06:48.079
So you can see over the last 90 days we have pawns on an absolute tear, 5,240 up over 90 days, Zcash, no surprise there as well, uh up seven, sorry, 287% over 90 days.
00:06:48.240 --> 00:06:57.680
Uh Athena, ENA, 266% over 90 days, quant, which we'll get into, 262% over 90 days, uh, Nier as well.
00:06:57.839 --> 00:07:04.000
We might get into a little bit later, 190, 179% over 90 days.
00:07:04.079 --> 00:07:09.040
So there are still certainly coins, uh altcoins that are performing quite well.
00:07:09.279 --> 00:07:21.759
Now, if you go back to the main page view, and if you sort by seven-day performance, you get another insight into some of the altcoins that are performing quite well.
00:07:22.000 --> 00:07:31.839
Again, we have quant up 238% over seven days, as by far the standout performer over the past seven days.
00:07:32.000 --> 00:07:38.879
Again, I think Gab's gonna get into that a little bit later in the TA section on maybe some reasons as to why Quant is pumping.
00:07:39.040 --> 00:07:40.879
Uh, I forget how you say this one.
00:07:41.040 --> 00:07:44.639
Uh SEI say, I don't know if I've had to say this out loud.
00:07:44.720 --> 00:07:45.680
I always read it.
00:07:45.920 --> 00:07:53.839
Up 28%, Hadera, 28%, Layer Zero, 22%, Python 20%, near 20%.
00:07:54.720 --> 00:08:04.480
So less of an explosive week these past seven days for altcoins, but with again, with that that pretty clear exception being quant.
00:08:04.959 --> 00:08:07.120
Okay, did I uh miss anything?
00:08:07.279 --> 00:08:12.480
Maybe I'll do a quick shout-out, a quick pitch here for CMCA.
00:08:12.800 --> 00:08:16.879
So maybe if you scroll, if you go to the, I should probably look at this window here.
00:08:16.959 --> 00:08:29.040
If you go to Quant and you click into um, because I'm sure there's gonna be a lot that we're not gonna simply not gonna have the time to get into today.
00:08:29.519 --> 00:08:36.000
So if you go to Quant and you click at uh you click Seymour, let's say what have you chosen here?
00:08:36.240 --> 00:08:44.559
I chose actually quant powers 25 bank tokenized deposit network because that's kind of the main catalyst, which we are still going through, by the way, guys.
00:08:44.639 --> 00:08:47.840
So don't worry too much if you don't get it necessarily.
00:08:48.000 --> 00:08:50.000
But uh, but that's I think the big thing here.
00:08:50.240 --> 00:08:50.720
Exactly.
00:08:50.879 --> 00:09:03.120
So uh if you're ever curious as to why a coin is pumping and you simply do not have the patience to wait until uh you know crypto weekly forecast to find out, you can always go to the coins page.
00:09:03.279 --> 00:09:12.159
You click, you scroll down past the charts, and there's a handy dandy CMCAI bar with some pre-filled questions there.
00:09:12.320 --> 00:09:19.360
In this case, it's showing you kind of the hot topic Q and T Powers 25 bank tokenization, uh tokenized deposit.
00:09:19.519 --> 00:09:36.000
You can click into that and you can get some insight into why Quant is trending and why its price has been up uh over the past seven days, and certainly outperforming a lot of the other top altcoins, top uh altcoins by market cap, I should say.
00:09:36.240 --> 00:09:39.919
So, yeah, I'm doing my best to do my Alice today.
00:09:40.000 --> 00:09:46.240
I think I covered just about everything that is important as we head into today's show.
00:09:46.480 --> 00:09:54.240
Uh, I guess I will pass it back to you, Gab, and just kind of get your general thoughts as to where you stand.
00:09:54.399 --> 00:09:55.039
Are you bearish?
00:09:55.120 --> 00:09:55.679
Are you bullish?
00:09:55.759 --> 00:09:56.480
Are you waiting see?
00:09:56.720 --> 00:10:00.480
And kind of what do you what are you thinking going into this week when it comes to the markets?
00:10:00.799 --> 00:10:02.960
Yeah, I think we're gonna get there, Jonathan.
00:10:03.039 --> 00:10:08.639
I think there are some tokens, as we mentioned, Quantwe is one example, and there are other tokens that have some upside this week.
00:10:08.799 --> 00:10:11.440
Regardless, I think we have two days of data.
00:10:11.519 --> 00:10:13.519
I think one on Wednesday, one on Friday.
00:10:13.600 --> 00:10:17.279
I'm not quite sure, but I know that we're going to unpack that through the live as well.
00:10:17.440 --> 00:10:22.559
Um, I think there is a jobs report and something else coming out this week that can actually shake the market.
00:10:22.799 --> 00:10:25.759
And I'm not as bullish this week, to be very honest.
00:10:25.840 --> 00:10:27.679
I think I'm a little bit more bearish.
00:10:27.919 --> 00:10:34.879
That said, I think the I mean the line in the sand is the 50-week um moving average.
00:10:35.039 --> 00:10:38.399
So I don't think we're going that down if we go down this week.
00:10:38.639 --> 00:10:40.960
Everything that I'm saying here, guys, no worry.
00:10:41.039 --> 00:10:46.000
We won't back through the live, but I do think that we may retest the high 70s this week.
00:10:46.080 --> 00:10:46.879
Let's wait and see.
00:10:47.039 --> 00:10:47.919
Hopefully, I'm wrong.
00:10:48.080 --> 00:10:49.360
Hopefully, none of that happens.
00:10:49.440 --> 00:10:52.480
The data comes out really good, and we just skyrocket from here.
00:10:52.639 --> 00:10:53.679
But that's how I'm feeling.
00:10:53.759 --> 00:10:55.600
You ask it how I'm feeling, right?
00:10:55.679 --> 00:10:58.399
So that's why I'm sharing my thoughts.
00:10:58.480 --> 00:11:00.159
I'm not I'm not as bullish, though.
00:11:00.240 --> 00:11:05.600
I am seeing uh comments here from Web3 Titan here saying to the moon and all that.
00:11:05.759 --> 00:11:09.440
So, yeah, I mean, hopefully that's kind of what happens.
00:11:09.600 --> 00:11:14.240
Luke is also mentioned about uh Coinmark Cat campaign after the PP change as well.
00:11:14.320 --> 00:11:16.000
Yeah, we changed our PFP on Twitter.
00:11:16.080 --> 00:11:21.840
So if you guys haven't seen the new profile picture from CMC on X, make sure to check it out.
00:11:22.000 --> 00:11:24.000
Uh, regardless, that's how I'm feeling.
00:11:24.080 --> 00:11:29.919
I don't know if that's the same from you, but um, I do know that there is a lot happening this week that we need to unpack.
00:11:30.000 --> 00:11:37.039
So feel free to let me know how you feel and also go ahead and start unpacking a little bit of the big things that happen out this week.
00:11:37.519 --> 00:11:42.240
Yeah, we do have a lot of a lot of data this week on September 29th, which is tomorrow.
00:11:42.399 --> 00:11:46.080
We have the Jolts job openings, which is August data.
00:11:46.320 --> 00:11:52.480
September 30th, we have uh private payroll data, we have Q2 GDP.
00:11:52.720 --> 00:11:57.120
This is for the US, uh, personal income and outlays PCE inflation.
00:11:57.360 --> 00:12:03.279
We have um, and then this would be October 1st, which is Thursday.
00:12:03.519 --> 00:12:16.000
We have weekly initial jobless claims, we have ISM manufacturing PMI for September, and then Friday we have employment situation and non-farm payrolls to September jobs report.
00:12:16.080 --> 00:12:22.559
So, yeah, lots of economic data coming out this week, which will inform um uh you know a lot of things.
00:12:22.639 --> 00:12:26.879
It'll inform how people will probably you know approach their their investing this week.
00:12:27.039 --> 00:12:38.799
It will approach, it'll inform uh likely the next Fed rate hike odds that we have and uh coming up, not immediately, but you know, in several weeks.
00:12:38.960 --> 00:12:41.360
So yeah, a lot, a lot to watch this week.
00:12:41.600 --> 00:12:51.200
And yeah, I think it's uh potentially I say this a lot, but it may end up being another one of these kind of wait and see and watch what happens, what happens weeks.
00:12:51.360 --> 00:12:59.600
Uh, not really sure what sort of bullish momentum we could get this week, but there is always room for a surprise, and I'm always happy to be surprised.
00:12:59.679 --> 00:13:09.120
Now, one thing that happened last week, which was a surprise, which was not a very pleasant surprise, which may be top of mind for many of you, was this BitGet hack.
00:13:09.360 --> 00:13:16.080
So uh I do want to just go over that briefly because it was pretty big news.
00:13:16.159 --> 00:13:21.919
Now, as Gab was saying in our intro, and for those of you who um are coming in later, maybe you missed this.
00:13:22.159 --> 00:13:31.919
This just to get this out front, BitGet is saying that all of the losses will be covered by its kind of a recovery, recovery program.
00:13:32.240 --> 00:13:40.159
And so it is saying not to worry, you know, none of none of uh, no customers will actually incur any losses.
00:13:40.320 --> 00:13:41.919
So I'll get that out front.
00:13:42.159 --> 00:13:44.159
Now that said, what happened?
00:13:44.399 --> 00:13:50.639
So Bitget Security Systems flagged unauthorized transfers from its hot and warm wallets.
00:13:50.879 --> 00:13:55.360
This was at 1831 UTC, so 6.31 p.m.
00:13:55.519 --> 00:13:58.080
UTC on September 24.
00:13:58.399 --> 00:14:05.120
So at first they estimated the losses were at 365, 351.6 million.
00:14:05.279 --> 00:14:14.159
However, the next day it was revised to 387.5 million once they were able to account for Zcash and Tron transfers.
00:14:14.320 --> 00:14:18.320
Now this makes it the largest crypto hack of 2026.
00:14:18.720 --> 00:14:25.279
CEO Gracie Chin says that no private keys were stolen and no user withdrawals were forged.
00:14:25.440 --> 00:14:32.080
They also say that the uh exploit avenue has been patched at this point and no longer remains available.
00:14:32.240 --> 00:14:49.279
But basically, what seems to have happened is that the attackers got into a back-end system in their wallet infrastructure, their hot and warm wallet infrastructure, and were able to spoof transaction data so that Bit get its own approval process, signed payouts that to the process looked routine.
00:14:49.440 --> 00:14:56.960
Now, GoPlus has described this compromise as a compromise of the transaction signing trust chain.
00:14:57.279 --> 00:15:07.120
And uh again, CEO Chen says the attack bears North Korea's state-sponsored hacking footprints, although nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
00:15:07.360 --> 00:15:22.399
Now, there is a bit of a debate, sort of a both a philosophical and technical debate that has come out of this, which is what assets can and cannot be frozen, what stolen assets, as well as what stolen assets should and should not be frozen.
00:15:22.480 --> 00:15:28.559
So Circle and Tether were pretty quick to freeze about 3200,000.
00:15:28.799 --> 00:15:34.960
Sorry, three, I cannot say numbers today, 300 3200, 3200,000.
00:15:35.360 --> 00:15:36.159
A ton of money.
00:15:36.320 --> 00:15:36.799
That's the same thing.
00:15:38.320 --> 00:15:39.759
And USDT.
00:15:40.080 --> 00:15:44.399
So uh you can look at that and it's basically what is that?
00:15:44.639 --> 00:15:53.120
I can't do math, uh, 101% or something, 0.1% of the stolen assets, if I'm doing my math correctly.
00:15:53.200 --> 00:15:58.639
So there's 387 million stolen, and they were able to freeze 320,000.
00:15:59.039 --> 00:16:01.360
So not very much.
00:16:02.240 --> 00:16:11.840
Uh, there also is nearly 103 million XRP sitting in five attacker accounts, uh, and about 83 million of that has been stolen.
00:16:12.000 --> 00:16:22.000
So Ripple is as an organization is able to freeze tokens issued on the XRP ledger, but it is not able to freeze XRP itself.
00:16:22.159 --> 00:16:41.519
Some of the funds are also reportedly being swapped via ThorChain, and ThorChain has taken basically a philosophical stance where they say they uh will not freeze uh and perhaps cannot freeze any uh any assets that are being moved through Thorchain.
00:16:41.600 --> 00:16:44.960
So the CEO directly asked Thorchain to freeze the assets.
00:16:45.120 --> 00:16:50.639
ThorChain says it is decentralized and permissionless, like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and B chain.
00:16:50.799 --> 00:17:18.079
What responsibility should Bitcoin, Ethereum, and B chain bear when handling known stolen funds, aka that they are not responsible for freezing the funds, uh, any funds that are stolen, as well as they say that while they can halt the network, it is an emergency security mechanism designed to protect the protocol, not not a halt of selective, not a selective freeze of funds or an individual swap.
00:17:18.319 --> 00:17:23.359
So basically they are saying that they will not and cannot censor by design.
00:17:23.519 --> 00:17:26.559
It is a public goods tool.
00:17:26.960 --> 00:17:28.319
So I don't know.
00:17:28.400 --> 00:17:54.960
I guess my question for you, Gab, is do you think that this is going to have any impact on crypto at large or you know, retail adoption or the perception of crypto in the public space at a time where you know regulators around the world are pushing more and more to regulate crypto and get it kind of brought into be more part of the mainstream to see another major crypto exchange hack?
00:17:55.039 --> 00:17:56.480
Is that gonna be a detriment?
00:17:56.720 --> 00:18:03.599
Or is it gonna be kind of just a blip on the radar ultimately, and you know, people are gonna forget about it?
00:18:03.680 --> 00:18:10.880
Uh, or just any other thoughts you have on, you know, what is the largest exchange hack, the largest hack of 2026?
00:18:11.519 --> 00:18:16.400
Yeah, I have a lot of thoughts to be honest, on I think many parts of this issue.
00:18:16.480 --> 00:18:19.119
I would love to know what the community thinks as well.
00:18:19.359 --> 00:18:22.559
And I I actually have one question for everyone that is listening right now.
00:18:22.720 --> 00:18:30.000
Like, I just wanted to understand what your guys' stance is on should these funds be frozen or not.
00:18:30.160 --> 00:18:45.759
I think that's the the philosophical question that we have here in terms of like um the technology is permissionless, therefore there should be no nothing freeze, or no no no, this is a hack, and therefore we should be freezing whatever happens with it.
00:18:45.839 --> 00:18:50.000
Like, doesn't matter if we are permissionless, we have the option to act on it.
00:18:50.160 --> 00:18:51.920
Uh, I really wanted to know what people think.
00:18:52.000 --> 00:18:53.359
I have my take on it.
00:18:53.519 --> 00:18:57.039
Um, I think making it like long story short, right?
00:18:57.200 --> 00:19:04.000
Or long thought process short, I think being permissionless is one of the key crypto uh differentials.
00:19:04.240 --> 00:19:10.240
Therefore, um I think torque chain is actually doing the right thing, in my opinion.
00:19:10.400 --> 00:19:11.200
But that's just me.
00:19:11.359 --> 00:19:13.359
And I understand the other side of thinking as well.
00:19:13.599 --> 00:19:25.200
There are a lot of things that I agree on that side, uh, but I do think that if crypto bends towards that side, I think we are just with the same as the regular financial system that we have at the moment.
00:19:25.279 --> 00:19:27.839
So there's no differential point, you know what I'm saying?
00:19:27.920 --> 00:19:34.079
So, like what is going to prevent anything else from happening in the future in terms of like freezing funds and all that.
00:19:34.240 --> 00:19:35.440
So that's my take.
00:19:35.599 --> 00:19:45.519
Um, but I know it's not necessarily the I mean, I think I think the the the pleasest thing to hear uh either from Torre Chain or for anyone that thinks like that.
00:19:45.759 --> 00:19:48.480
So yeah, but that's that's how I feel about this.
00:19:48.640 --> 00:19:53.039
And I think that not just exchanges, but a lot of crypto businesses do make a lot of money, right?
00:19:53.119 --> 00:19:55.039
Uh, because of transaction fees, etc.
00:19:55.279 --> 00:20:00.640
So they have or they should have enough money to cover for security flaws, right?
00:20:00.720 --> 00:20:07.119
Uh, and this goes from exchanges to wallets to whatever is, I mean, businesses are raising money out there.
00:20:07.200 --> 00:20:15.200
They if they know that we are playing a dangerous game, you need to have a fund like that to make sure that your users do not get affected.
00:20:15.279 --> 00:20:18.319
Because if they do, then you are probably killing your own business.
00:20:18.400 --> 00:20:24.880
Uh, but if they don't, if you have something that, hey, we made an issue, there was a security issue, someone hacked us, but hey, you know what?
00:20:25.039 --> 00:20:27.200
Your funds, nah, that's not gonna be affected.
00:20:27.279 --> 00:20:28.640
It's all on us, it's our fault.
00:20:28.720 --> 00:20:30.559
We are blamed for it, and we are gonna cover.
00:20:30.960 --> 00:20:35.440
That kind of gives people, I think, more of a sense of like, yeah, I mean, at the end of the day, it is what it is.
00:20:35.519 --> 00:20:38.079
Uh, it may happen, and and that's how it happens.
00:20:38.160 --> 00:20:40.960
So I uh that's those are my thoughts.
00:20:41.039 --> 00:20:43.279
And yeah, I know there are a lot of people that think differently.
00:20:43.359 --> 00:20:44.319
Maybe you do, Jonathan.
00:20:44.400 --> 00:20:44.799
I don't know.
00:20:44.880 --> 00:20:45.759
Uh, let me know.
00:20:46.000 --> 00:20:50.000
But uh, but yeah, that's that's how I feel about all this this hack thing.
00:20:50.319 --> 00:20:52.240
No, I I I tend to agree with you.
00:20:52.400 --> 00:20:53.759
You know, it sucks, obviously.
00:20:53.920 --> 00:20:55.519
The situation is very unfortunate.
00:20:55.759 --> 00:20:56.400
It's a mess.
00:20:56.480 --> 00:21:01.759
But I'm glad that uh it seems like no users are gonna be directly impacted.
00:21:01.920 --> 00:21:11.359
Obviously, you know, if you were relying on uh being able to withdraw money so you could pay your rent or whatever, then yes, you're gonna be directly affected, and that's awful.
00:21:11.599 --> 00:21:18.000
But in terms of a loss of funds, uh, thankfully, it seems like no users are going to be directly affected.
00:21:18.160 --> 00:21:31.599
So in this case, like you said, the insurance policy that they have uh have, which is this gigantic fund, I think it's$450 million uh worth to cover these sort of losses, is is doing its purpose.
00:21:31.759 --> 00:21:39.039
Um, and if you are operating a large business, just like in the traditional world, you you really need or you really should have insurance.
00:21:39.200 --> 00:21:44.160
In many industries, you are legally obligated to have insurance for exact reasons like this.
00:21:44.319 --> 00:21:47.519
And yeah, on the Thorchain thing, I tend to agree.
00:21:47.759 --> 00:22:12.720
Um, you know, the sort of privacy cypherpunk inside of me says like as awful as it is to to you know to kind of Of know that this sort of uh technology is being used by hackers to funnel potentially millions of dollars and make them, you know, and swap it into different assets.
00:22:12.880 --> 00:22:19.119
I I support them, I guess, for this is of course my position, not the position of CMC necessarily as a company.
00:22:19.359 --> 00:22:21.680
Of course, personally personal takes here.
00:22:21.920 --> 00:22:22.240
Yes.
00:22:22.400 --> 00:22:26.240
Personally, uh I I think it's a principled stance.
00:22:26.480 --> 00:22:45.839
Um, and I I I think they're making the right decision because uh if they don't, then we risk the we risk the possibility for regular people, activists around the world, you know, whistleblowers, people who need to be able to use the same technology for good, they're gonna lose the ability to do that.
00:22:45.920 --> 00:22:49.519
And they're they're at risk of their their privacy being taken away as well.
00:22:49.680 --> 00:22:56.480
So, you know, it's kind of one of those trade-offs that is unfortunate, but kind of, you know, privacy for all means means everybody.
00:22:57.359 --> 00:23:08.480
And just to just to sum it up, Jonathan, I think the the cool thing on the on the cool side of things is just like seeing CZ, which by the way owns CMC as well, um, just coming out and mentioning that hey, the industry must come together.
00:23:08.559 --> 00:23:11.440
We must like see if we can help like BitGet in any kind of way.
00:23:11.519 --> 00:23:13.440
And I think that's the that's the that's the vibe, right?
00:23:13.519 --> 00:23:14.640
That's the right approach.
00:23:14.799 --> 00:23:18.799
Uh, I mean, what happened, I mean, has happened, like we cannot change that.
00:23:18.960 --> 00:23:23.359
How can we actually I mean support each other so things like that doesn't happen in the future?
00:23:23.519 --> 00:23:25.759
Does Bitget need like help here and there?
00:23:25.839 --> 00:23:27.200
Like, what can we do and all that?
00:23:27.279 --> 00:23:29.119
So, yes, I think that's the key point.
00:23:29.279 --> 00:23:31.519
Um, how we act moving forward, regardless.
00:23:31.680 --> 00:23:33.039
That's kind of like my take.
00:23:33.200 --> 00:23:47.599
Um, and I do know that there are some people in the tratify business that don't care, they're still buying crypto and like topping up every single week, it seems, even though some of them do make some pauses here and there and sell some stuff as well.
00:23:47.759 --> 00:23:49.039
I need to say that.
00:23:49.200 --> 00:23:52.720
Um, but regardless, I know you have some updates on that for us as well.
00:23:53.039 --> 00:23:53.599
Yeah, yeah.
00:23:53.759 --> 00:24:12.160
So maybe pivoting into more happy news, but uh more more neutral news at the very least, uh, would be that uh a couple of updates here for BitMine and the strategy to talk about to talk about the institutional uh adoption for a second here.
00:24:12.319 --> 00:24:25.119
So the first is that strat uh sorry, Bitmine actually this past week has finally surpassed six million ether that it holds in its corporate treasury.
00:24:25.359 --> 00:24:28.240
So this is a pretty large number.
00:24:28.400 --> 00:24:30.319
I don't think I need to tell anybody that.
00:24:42.559 --> 00:24:50.640
I'll I'll shout out if I can remember, but basically he was asked if that number is going to change once he reaches five percent.
00:24:50.720 --> 00:24:59.279
And he said he's been discussing with, you know, different platforms and with his lawyers and whatever, and to stay tuned.
00:24:59.680 --> 00:25:02.799
So it is very possible that that he's just gonna keep buying.
00:25:02.960 --> 00:25:05.839
Bitmine's gonna keep buying even when they hit that five percent.
00:25:06.160 --> 00:25:16.799
But yeah, so they just surpassed six million Ethereum, a number that I can only begin to imagine holding in my own uh personal wallets.
00:25:16.880 --> 00:25:18.400
Uh one day, one day maybe.
00:25:18.559 --> 00:25:27.279
But yeah, so they purchased, to be more specific, they purchased 17,362 ETH over the past week.
00:25:27.440 --> 00:25:32.319
Tom Lee, uh BitMine chairman, called it a tremendous achievement.
00:25:32.400 --> 00:25:33.519
That is a direct quote.
00:25:33.599 --> 00:25:35.039
This is a tremendous achievement.
00:25:35.200 --> 00:25:43.599
And he said, the ever, ever the bull, he said we continue to see affirming signs that a crypto bull market is underway, having started in late June.
00:25:43.759 --> 00:25:54.319
In our view, institutions are still underweight crypto, and we expect them to be adding their exposure in adding to their exposure in the final months of 2026.
00:25:54.640 --> 00:26:05.279
And of course, he made the case that Ethereum is going to benefit from benefit from that, as it is the in his words, the um best performing macro asset, something like that, in in Q3.
00:26:05.759 --> 00:26:09.839
So now the best thing about Tom Lee, in my opinion, just sorry for cutting you out there.
00:26:09.920 --> 00:26:12.400
I'm just searching for that interview, is his hair, right?
00:26:12.480 --> 00:26:19.119
I mean, he needs to share more hair advice with people like that's a Jimmy Neutron real type of hair there.
00:26:19.279 --> 00:26:20.160
It's like insane.
00:26:20.240 --> 00:26:20.799
I love it.
00:26:21.119 --> 00:26:24.240
That's uh I just needed to make a comment about that, but that's it.
00:26:24.640 --> 00:26:25.920
Back to you, Jonathan.
00:26:26.000 --> 00:26:27.359
You can finish it up right now.
00:26:27.680 --> 00:26:45.279
Absolutely, and then I guess I will just mention quickly that uh another kind of bullish thing is that Bitcoin ETFs pulled in, it looks like$2.39 billion last week, which was their best performance since October 2025.
00:26:45.359 --> 00:26:48.079
These are US spot Bitcoin ETFs.
00:26:48.319 --> 00:26:51.759
So don't really have a uh you know much to say about that.
00:26:51.920 --> 00:27:01.599
Just wanted to throw that in there because I was just reminded uh or just thought about that real quick as I was thinking about the kind of bullish uh passing six million Ethereum.
00:27:01.680 --> 00:27:10.480
So, of course, the our other permable who I look to whenever I'm feeling sad about Bitcoin, of course, is Michael Saylor.
00:27:10.640 --> 00:27:13.519
So Strategy also announced another buy this week.
00:27:13.599 --> 00:27:17.200
This is their second week of buying in a row.
00:27:17.440 --> 00:27:20.319
After, let me just fact check this week.
00:27:20.559 --> 00:27:22.079
Sorry, fact-check this real quick.
00:27:22.240 --> 00:27:33.440
Yes, they had two weeks of buying in a row after something like three, roughly three weeks of no buys, uh, one week of buying before that, and then several weeks of selling.
00:27:33.519 --> 00:28:15.440
So Strategy purchased 1,665 Bitcoin this past week at an average price of 85,681, bringing their uh for a total value of 143 million, bringing their total Bitcoin to uh Bitcoin holdings to 847,666, which makes them as Tom Um Fong Lee, strategy CEO Fong Li likes to point out, the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin in the world as they are on their way to become what they say the JP Morgan of crypto, which is their goal.
00:28:15.920 --> 00:28:22.880
So at the same time, Strategy has also proposing some changes to their US listed preferred stocks.
00:28:23.039 --> 00:28:33.119
So they have STRF, STRC, which is the one that gets most of the uh coverage and discussion points about it, STRK and STRD.
00:28:33.440 --> 00:28:42.000
So they have proposed, well, their board has approved, moving these preferred dividends to uh sorry, these preferred stocks to daily dividends.
00:28:42.480 --> 00:28:46.000
And this is subject to shareholder vote on October 28th.
00:28:46.319 --> 00:28:53.359
So dividends would accrue every calendar day, weekends included, and be paid out the next business day.
00:28:53.759 --> 00:28:56.559
The rates and total obligations would stay the same.
00:28:56.880 --> 00:29:04.799
STRC would switch up first with a record date of November 1st, and the others would follow in January.
00:29:05.279 --> 00:29:10.240
Strategy says this is meant to cut reinvestment lag and stabilize prices.
00:29:10.480 --> 00:29:27.039
And Saylor, Michael Saylor, you know, chairman, uh also recently said that he uh recently set out a bill of digital rights and said, pardon me, said policy should enable 10 million new companies to raise capital.
00:29:27.279 --> 00:29:38.319
So if you go, if you're curious about this bill of uh bill of digital rights, uh Saylor also published this as an essay on his X account.
00:29:38.799 --> 00:29:51.680
You go to his X account, you scroll down, he's got this essay called Uh Prescriptions for Prosperity in the Digital Age, where he lays out this uh this bill of rights.
00:29:51.839 --> 00:29:56.400
And he publishes these essays quite a uh quite frequently.
00:29:56.640 --> 00:30:17.039
Um and if you are kind of curious about the mindset, I would say, behind the person who is uh running the largest cryptocurrency digital asset treasury in the world, you know, these these essays can be kind of an interesting, interesting insight.
00:30:17.200 --> 00:30:26.000
So uh yeah, I guess that that uh tops up my institutional sort of top-up news for the day.
00:30:26.240 --> 00:30:27.279
And yeah.
00:30:27.440 --> 00:30:29.119
Uh what do you think, Gab?
00:30:29.279 --> 00:30:45.759
Do you think that we need uh I don't know if you you've had the chance to to read this this essay yet or what is considered in the the Bill of Rights, but um I guess maybe what would uh what would you want included in a in a Bill of Rights when it comes to digital assets?
00:30:46.160 --> 00:30:46.799
Yeah, man.
00:30:46.880 --> 00:30:49.440
I I mean I'll be honest with you, I have no idea.
00:30:49.519 --> 00:31:02.240
I'm not a lost person, and I mean I honestly don't I don't want to chime in too much on that, but I think the idea of like daily dividends, I mean, I don't know, maybe interesting, maybe not.
00:31:02.400 --> 00:31:06.559
I think as much adoption as we can get, I'm I'm just circle back to it every single time.
00:31:06.640 --> 00:31:09.519
I think when it comes to strategy, Tom Lee and whatever.
00:31:09.680 --> 00:31:22.400
I think the big thing that they do is actually not necessarily buy or like I mean raise prices or whatever, is just awareness, you know, just like get more people to know that there are big Wall Street people that are investing on Bitcoin, so why not me?
00:31:22.559 --> 00:31:36.319
I think that's the that's the key thing, in my opinion, that they they are doing, and that I believe they uh as long as they keep doing it, more and more people will ask themselves like, hey, what is there a company that just buys Bitcoin or a company that just buys ether?
00:31:36.480 --> 00:31:40.799
Like, oh, maybe I should be doing the same, you know, because those companies are a big thing, etc.
00:31:41.039 --> 00:31:46.880
So as long as this strategy ends up paying out for them long term, uh, I think we'll see more and more people doing the same thing.
00:31:47.039 --> 00:31:47.759
DCA, right?
00:31:47.839 --> 00:31:54.960
I saw some people here in the chat, like, hey, talking that the old DCA doesn't get enough value and that kind of thing.
00:31:55.039 --> 00:31:56.240
So yeah, I I kind of agree.
00:31:56.400 --> 00:32:09.359
I think that a lot of people that just DCA through time are doing much better than a lot of people that spend and invest a lot of time trying to trade and this and that and meme coins, like you, yeah, you may earn more, but what are you losing on this other side of things, right?
00:32:09.440 --> 00:32:12.079
On in terms of time and other stuff that you can do in life.
00:32:12.160 --> 00:32:17.920
So, I I mean, my take is I love that they keep involved, they keep being involved in a bullish way.
00:32:18.000 --> 00:32:21.839
That's that's I mean, I want them to keep doing that as long as they would like to.
00:32:21.920 --> 00:32:24.000
I would love to see that that keep going on.
00:32:24.079 --> 00:32:24.880
But what about you?
00:32:24.960 --> 00:32:25.759
Do you think the same?
00:32:25.839 --> 00:32:31.920
I uh that said, I would also love to earn dividends on every single crypto asset that I hold.
00:32:32.160 --> 00:32:38.000
And that said, I think nowadays there are a lot of products out there that kind of let you do that even with your BTC.
00:32:38.079 --> 00:32:46.000
You can get your BTC to actually earn you some income across, I mean, just exchanges and other fancy stuff that you can do on the DeFi world.
00:32:46.160 --> 00:32:53.200
So I I don't think that that will be a new thing, but for sure, for Normi's 100% is it it's a no-brainer.
00:32:53.839 --> 00:32:54.799
Yeah, yeah.
00:32:55.039 --> 00:33:01.759
Yeah, I mean, it's it's always fun to see and kind of follow um both Tom Lee and Michael Saylor.
00:33:02.000 --> 00:33:11.599
Now, obviously, we need to keep in mind they do have some financial reasons why they might be so Bitcoin on bullish and Ethereum, you know, considering how much of it their companies hold.
00:33:11.759 --> 00:33:15.759
So I guess it's always sort of important to keep that in mind, excuse me, that in mind.
00:33:16.000 --> 00:33:25.279
At the same time, I have no reason to uh not believe that they are in fact bullish on a personal level uh about these two these two assets.
00:33:25.440 --> 00:33:29.359
And yeah, I don't I don't hold any of this preferred stock.
00:33:29.440 --> 00:33:35.039
I I tend to be like a set it and forget it kind of long-term investing kind of guy.
00:33:35.200 --> 00:33:46.400
So I haven't really played around very much with sort of the like kind of more interesting products, uh, whether that be in traditional finance or even in Bitcoin.
00:33:46.480 --> 00:34:00.240
Uh, I know there are other, I know people who are you know taking out loans against their Bitcoin and trying to find clever ways to leverage it or super deep in like DeFi summer, you know, uh yield farming and things like that.
00:34:00.480 --> 00:34:04.720
Uh I've always been a bit risk averse, I guess, when it comes to that kind of stuff.
00:34:04.880 --> 00:34:18.400
And I tend to just kind of find core projects or blockchains that I think uh are probably gonna be here in five to ten years and just kind of buy their, you know, DCA, as people were saying in the uh in the chat, and kind of just set it.
00:34:18.480 --> 00:34:23.360
And I check my portfolio like twice a year, to be quite frank with you.
00:34:23.519 --> 00:34:28.480
Like whenever I need to pay for an expense, I'm like I check my portfolio and I'm like, is crypto up?
00:34:28.639 --> 00:34:29.519
No, it's still down.
00:34:29.599 --> 00:34:32.000
Okay, I shouldn't, I shouldn't sell anything yet.
00:34:32.239 --> 00:34:36.960
And that's kind of the the main reason that I check to be to be quite honest with you.
00:34:37.280 --> 00:34:38.159
Yeah, and I'm with you.
00:34:38.320 --> 00:34:40.639
I think uh I I I'll kind of do the same.
00:34:40.719 --> 00:34:43.199
And um, I think through time it's going quite well.
00:34:43.360 --> 00:34:52.079
So I I I I would not complain, and that's that's definitely something that for people that don't have a lot of time to invest into the daily hustle that it is the crypto world.
00:34:52.239 --> 00:34:56.320
I I I wouldn't say that is the best use of your time to invest your time in that.
00:34:56.400 --> 00:35:03.679
Like if it's not for you, if you feel like you're investing too much time and not getting the profits that you'd like, try to play the easy game.
00:35:03.760 --> 00:35:08.639
I think long term it's I think it's it may be a better fit for some.
00:35:08.719 --> 00:35:09.199
I don't know.
00:35:09.280 --> 00:35:10.639
Yeah, absolutely.
00:35:11.119 --> 00:35:23.440
Um, but yeah, uh speaking of you know coins, I guess, or projects that are doing quite well and that are also getting uh you know sort of mainstream adoption.
00:35:23.599 --> 00:35:30.800
Uh it's been pretty pretty wild, you know, week as we showed earlier for NIR for the tokens.
00:35:30.880 --> 00:35:36.000
So I know you have a few quick hits, uh, news pieces, and then I think some TA to get into.
00:35:36.159 --> 00:35:36.400
Exactly.
00:35:36.559 --> 00:35:42.880
So I'm gonna pass it, pass it back to you, and maybe you can kind of give us the the scoop on what in the world is going on with NIR.
00:35:43.199 --> 00:35:48.800
Yeah, just to I mean wrap up this the this news section, I think there are a couple things that I wanted to point out.
00:35:48.960 --> 00:35:54.960
Uh, one is this near year's week, as you mentioned, like the ETF tokenized stocks breakout above five dollars.
00:35:55.039 --> 00:35:57.440
Like it's a lot happening um on near.
00:35:57.679 --> 00:36:03.119
Like, for example, I think uh the bitwise near ETF cleared NYCEs, uh, NYSE.
00:36:03.360 --> 00:36:09.760
So uh now we have Ondo also bringing tokenized NVIDIA, Tesla, and Apple to Nier.com.
00:36:10.079 --> 00:36:12.880
Um, Nier listed on hyperliquid as well.
00:36:13.119 --> 00:36:17.920
Token basically popped about 12%, um, crossed at the five dollar margin, as I said.
00:36:18.000 --> 00:36:19.920
Now I don't know where it's trading right now.
00:36:20.000 --> 00:36:26.719
Let me actually do a quick check on that to let you guys know exactly like what is the price that Nier is trading at the moment.
00:36:26.960 --> 00:36:29.519
But just did a did a really good week.
00:36:29.599 --> 00:36:32.079
I think right now no token is doing really well.
00:36:32.239 --> 00:36:41.280
But just for you guys to have an idea, 20% on the week now trading below the five dollar margin at 489, but regardless, it's still a really, really interesting pump.
00:36:41.440 --> 00:36:50.639
And those are some of the catalysts, like it's ETF related, it's like um uh as I've mentioned, tokenized stocks being traded on on Nier as well.
00:36:50.880 --> 00:36:52.239
Just a lot of things going on.
00:36:52.400 --> 00:36:54.559
Community overall, I think, is feeling bullish.
00:36:54.719 --> 00:37:02.800
Um, of course, they are skeptical about if Nier can actually be an AI chain in the future because that is one of the narratives that are floating out there around Nier.
00:37:03.360 --> 00:37:10.960
But regardless, it's definitely a token that has been doing really well and catching the attention for not just this week, but a couple months.
00:37:11.039 --> 00:37:14.719
I think when I saw Nier at like one dollar or so, like was doing pretty well.
00:37:14.960 --> 00:37:17.599
That said, some other stuff that I wanted to cover really quickly.
00:37:17.840 --> 00:37:20.159
Coin X turned off spot trading.
00:37:20.239 --> 00:37:22.639
Uh, we will actually turn off spot trading tomorrow.
00:37:22.719 --> 00:37:26.159
It it actually um just some stuff happening there.
00:37:26.320 --> 00:37:28.800
Bitmax, as we know, closed it last week.
00:37:28.880 --> 00:37:29.679
Um, too.
00:37:29.760 --> 00:37:32.159
It's a mid-tier kind of thinning out.
00:37:32.400 --> 00:37:42.719
So CoinX is just some for some that may have funds on CoinX, make sure to check all the news and details about it to understand everything that happens if you have coins there.
00:37:42.880 --> 00:37:46.960
I think their message is to withdraw before December 22nd.
00:37:47.360 --> 00:37:52.079
Um, anything left after that gets hit with a five percent monthly fee.
00:37:52.239 --> 00:37:56.800
So just just know what to do, understand what you're playing with and where your coins are.
00:37:56.960 --> 00:38:00.559
Um if you use CoinX in the past, maybe you still have some fun sitting there.
00:38:00.639 --> 00:38:02.159
That happens with a lot of people in crypto.
00:38:02.320 --> 00:38:06.800
You use an exchange once, you leave some stuff there, so make sure to check it out.
00:38:07.039 --> 00:38:10.800
The other one, and I think it's a fun one, at the same time, interesting.
00:38:11.039 --> 00:38:18.639
California just made it illegal, and I know you're not living in California right now, Jonathan, but you may have some takes on it for politicians to launch meme coins.
00:38:18.719 --> 00:38:25.599
Uh, the governor actually signed a law on Sunday banning state and local officials from issuing or promoting, okay?
00:38:25.760 --> 00:38:32.000
Not just issuing, but you can also not promote any meme coins, and it's effective from January 1st onwards.
00:38:32.159 --> 00:38:33.280
Very interesting, of course.
00:38:33.360 --> 00:38:42.960
I think most of it is driven because of all the crazy thing, the craziness brought by the Trump coin and everything related to it.
00:38:43.039 --> 00:38:47.519
And now we had just like Biden's uh Hunter Biden's laptop token as well.
00:38:47.679 --> 00:38:49.360
So, yeah, a lot going on.
00:38:49.519 --> 00:38:52.800
Uh, takes on this, any like how how you feel about it?
00:38:52.880 --> 00:38:58.639
Like, I think it's something that everyone should, like, every I'd say public institution should do.
00:38:58.800 --> 00:39:08.800
Like, no public exposure person should have a meme con a meme token just because it's like, yeah, it's gonna pump, you know, and some people are going to be damaged by it.
00:39:09.119 --> 00:39:13.679
Yeah, I I have no complaints um with this with this this law.
00:39:13.840 --> 00:39:25.920
I think it should be right up there with formally banning, you know, politicians and government officials from gambling on prediction markets, which which a lot of um a lot of regulations are now starting to do as well.
00:39:26.559 --> 00:39:39.360
And I I feel like these kind of celebrity, but maybe I'll say personality celebrity meme coins have uh perhaps done irreparable harm to to the crypto space, if I may be so bold.
00:39:39.519 --> 00:39:41.039
Uh I'll try to keep this very quick.
00:39:41.199 --> 00:39:50.800
I know we've got some TA to get into, but I was watching just a little bit of this clip of Hunter Biden talking with Rain Wilson, who is a place Dwight on The Office.
00:39:51.360 --> 00:40:01.440
And if when you listen to people like that talk about their perception of crypto, they they just think of like these meme coins.
00:40:01.760 --> 00:40:04.719
That's like all we understand crypto to be is like pump and dumps.
00:40:04.960 --> 00:40:22.800
And so I think anything we could be doing to limit, especially um those in in office from issuing meme coins is a great is a great step in sort of starting to repair the reputation of crypto in the mainstream.
00:40:23.039 --> 00:40:24.800
So yeah, I'll I'll leave it at that.
00:40:24.880 --> 00:40:29.280
Uh somebody says you just need some exit liquidity, certainly not financial advice.
00:40:29.519 --> 00:40:32.400
Um, but yeah, so I'll I'll leave my thoughts out there.
00:40:32.639 --> 00:40:35.280
Yeah, and I think you're a spot on just be careful, guys.
00:40:35.360 --> 00:40:41.280
Whenever public people comes with meme coins, uh there's a big chance that you end up being um exit liquidity.
00:40:41.360 --> 00:40:42.159
So be careful.
00:40:42.320 --> 00:40:46.079
Last thing on my end is just like Solana big upgrade did not launch today.
00:40:46.159 --> 00:40:51.519
A lot of people were expecting it, um, and kind of like banking on it, but it's postponed.
00:40:51.679 --> 00:40:58.320
And uh the unofficial, unofficial, unofficial, once more, unofficial date is November 9th.
00:40:58.400 --> 00:41:00.639
So don't expect it to happen there, but it may.
00:41:00.800 --> 00:41:12.559
Um, this is um an upgrade called Alpenglow, and it may reduce uh or cut confirmation time from 12.18 seconds, which is today for Solana, to 150 milliseconds.
00:41:12.719 --> 00:41:13.199
Insane.
00:41:13.360 --> 00:41:14.880
Sounds insane, yeah, for sure.
00:41:14.960 --> 00:41:19.920
Uh let's see how it plays out, but it's still on testnet, mainnet, probably by November.
00:41:20.000 --> 00:41:21.519
The community is okay with it though.
00:41:21.679 --> 00:41:23.199
No big deal, no big problem.
00:41:23.360 --> 00:41:31.920
Jonathan, with that, I ask you can I jump into some TA to give people numbers to look for throughout this week on BTC site?
00:41:32.079 --> 00:41:32.960
Yes, you may.
00:41:34.559 --> 00:41:38.800
Okay, so I'm just going to go straight up to it, opening here.
00:41:38.960 --> 00:41:47.599
The first post from the trend at the trend here on CMC Community, as you can see, verified creator, quite big one and quite good one as well.
00:41:47.760 --> 00:41:59.119
Um, he says some curse words here, which I'm not going to mention while I'm going through this, but I'll just leave the trading view analysis from him here open while I'll go through some of the details about it.
00:41:59.280 --> 00:42:05.280
Basically, he zooms out all the way on the weekly chart and makes the cleanest bull case on the list today.
00:42:05.360 --> 00:42:17.280
He says that Bitcoin has now closed its first week candle above May heights, and it's the second consecutive week close above the 50-week moving average average, as I've mentioned before.
00:42:17.440 --> 00:42:19.519
This is one thing that I'm also looking into.
00:42:19.679 --> 00:42:24.320
A signal that he says here historically mark the end of every single bear market.
00:42:24.400 --> 00:42:27.440
I think we covered that also on topics a couple weeks ago.
00:42:27.599 --> 00:42:34.880
This is definitely one of the key things that most traders look into for a bear market slash bull market confirmation.
00:42:35.039 --> 00:42:36.480
So keep that in mind, guys.
00:42:36.639 --> 00:42:40.239
Um, but um, he's not necessarily chasing it.
00:42:40.400 --> 00:42:48.400
His point is that after Bitcoin reclaims that fifth week um EMA, uh, the price usually comes back to retest it before continuing higher.
00:42:48.480 --> 00:42:53.760
So the zone um he wants to see is between 77.6 and 78k.
00:42:54.000 --> 00:42:56.719
So between 77 highs and 78k.
00:42:56.960 --> 00:42:58.880
Um, and there's a nice detail there.
00:42:58.960 --> 00:43:03.039
If Bitcoin just chops sideways, that moving average keeps rising, right?
00:43:03.119 --> 00:43:04.559
That's one thing that you guys need to have in mind.
00:43:04.719 --> 00:43:19.599
Bitcoin price doesn't necessarily need to go all the way down to test the moving average because it's a moving average, therefore, if the price keeps like in the same level that it is, it's going to I mean go higher and higher, and boom, at some point you can actually touch it there.
00:43:19.760 --> 00:43:26.239
So, um, at this point in time, he's patient, he is letting the price come to him, waiting for confirmation.
00:43:26.480 --> 00:43:28.400
So, no, don't go too crazy, guys.
00:43:28.480 --> 00:43:37.519
We may go down as I said in the beginning this week, but um, there's also a chance that we just chop sideways and the moving average come to us at some point.
00:43:37.679 --> 00:43:39.119
Moving on to Mr.
00:43:39.360 --> 00:43:41.280
FX takes here.
00:43:41.360 --> 00:43:43.119
I'll do the same thing that I just did.
00:43:43.280 --> 00:43:46.159
Make sure to have the chart open for you guys as I go through it.
00:43:46.239 --> 00:43:48.079
So it's a four-hour chart, by the way.
00:43:48.159 --> 00:43:56.960
So you know, um, he mentions that Bitcoin here has been stuck between this box uh roughly between 82 and 85k for about a week, right?
00:43:57.119 --> 00:43:59.679
Um, and he sees a slightly bearish bearish.
00:44:00.239 --> 00:44:05.440
Structure on the one hour chart, but the higher time frames are still clearly bullish.
00:44:05.519 --> 00:44:08.880
The one hour is the only one that is kind of bearish on his view.
00:44:09.039 --> 00:44:13.199
So his plan is to actually buy weakness rather than chase strength here.
00:44:13.360 --> 00:44:23.840
The idea is that price dips about 81k, maybe close to 82, a level that has acted as resistance before on the way up and should now act as support.
00:44:23.920 --> 00:44:28.559
Because as you guys know, once we break the resistance, resistance turns into support.
00:44:28.639 --> 00:44:30.880
And that's the great thing about trading, right?
00:44:31.039 --> 00:44:35.679
And bounces from um, I mean, from there could be another leg higher.
00:44:35.840 --> 00:44:41.599
Um, he mentions about one trade that he's doing, and he mentions that his stop is actually at 79.9.
00:44:41.920 --> 00:44:46.559
Um, so he's risking like about 2.4 percent to be wrong, right there.
00:44:46.719 --> 00:44:53.760
Um, and what is actually useful here is that uh it puts a number on the dip, like he mentions about the actual number.
00:44:53.840 --> 00:45:03.840
If it be BTC slips below this range, then a break under 80k is where he will admit that his plan has failed and he will lose some money.
00:45:03.920 --> 00:45:17.119
So um 81.9 seems to be the number that he is looking into at the moment, and just for everyone to know, BTC is now trading at 83.3, so we are still not in that range just yet.
00:45:17.199 --> 00:45:18.400
So kudos for Mr.
00:45:18.559 --> 00:45:23.119
FX, who is actually uh performing well on his trade at this time.
00:45:23.280 --> 00:45:26.000
Things may go sideways soon, but let's wait and see.
00:45:26.239 --> 00:45:32.000
Next post that we have here is actually from the boss at CryptoTheBox X.
00:45:32.079 --> 00:45:38.800
Here, he actually shares a vertical analysis, which means that he is actually doing this on his phone, which I love to see.
00:45:38.960 --> 00:45:50.639
So he mentions a couple interesting things here looking at Bitcoin dominance, which I saw some people by the way talking about this on the chat today, mentioned about Bitcoin dominance, how important it is to look into it.
00:45:50.800 --> 00:45:53.760
As you know, it's a share of Bitcoin's hope crypto market.
00:45:53.920 --> 00:45:59.599
Um, and usually, guys, when we see dominance falling, altcoins are outperforming, and vice versa.
00:45:59.840 --> 00:46:14.400
So um they he actually have been tracking a bare flag here, a pattern um that we all know in the trading space, uh, where price drops sharply, then drifts upwards in a narrow channel before typically breaking down again.
00:46:14.480 --> 00:46:15.599
That's the key point.
00:46:15.760 --> 00:46:17.840
It breaks down once more.
00:46:18.000 --> 00:46:26.400
So dominance is now sitting on the lower edge of that flag, as you guys can see in the image here, um, right above the support floor, about 58%.
00:46:26.880 --> 00:46:39.840
And his read is that this 58% dominance floor um and the flag both break, that confirms the pattern, and dominance drops sharply, which in plain terms mean altcoin rotation.
00:46:40.000 --> 00:46:43.119
We are already seeing some altcoins outperforming or doing quite well.
00:46:43.280 --> 00:46:46.239
Jonathan mentioned about that in the beginning of the live today.
00:46:46.320 --> 00:46:57.599
So if the buyers defend 58% and push back towards 60% of the dominance, this setup is completely invalidated and money keeps going back to BTC.
00:46:58.000 --> 00:47:05.280
But this is where coins such as Quant, Near, and others may benefit a scenario like this.
00:47:05.440 --> 00:47:12.480
So that's why I brought it up because it kind of like puts in perspective what may happen with BTC and the rest of the market.
00:47:12.639 --> 00:47:18.400
That said, to wrap it up, moving into Bitcoin price again here with Xylia Grace.
00:47:18.639 --> 00:47:29.039
A warning he I mean or she here points out that Bitcoin managed a weekly close above 83, but it's now trading right back at that May high mention about the trend.
00:47:29.119 --> 00:47:35.039
Also, the first influencers that we covered, which is the level it just broke out of, right?
00:47:35.199 --> 00:47:39.519
So that's a classic make or break moment in her words here.
00:47:39.679 --> 00:47:43.280
If the breakout is real, this level holds and becomes a new floor.
00:47:43.360 --> 00:47:50.719
If sellers push price below it, the breakout is fit, and the next area of interest will be between 79 and 80k.
00:47:50.800 --> 00:47:52.960
So everyone is kind of watching the same thing, guys.
00:47:53.039 --> 00:48:01.679
That 82.983 range as the major resistance slash support was resistance before, now became support.
00:48:01.760 --> 00:48:02.719
We are fighting that.
00:48:02.800 --> 00:48:11.199
We are a little bit above that right now as we speak, but going below may get us to touch 79 or 80 very, very soon.
00:48:11.360 --> 00:48:19.599
Um, and you may notice that 78 to 80 is also where um the second influencer has its stop loss, right?
00:48:19.760 --> 00:48:21.920
And that kind of ties everything together.
00:48:22.079 --> 00:48:33.119
So if I would give you guys a combined read on today's TA, is that Bitcoin is kind of like standing on the level that decides the week, which will which is this 83k level.
00:48:33.280 --> 00:48:35.679
The floor is 83, it's May high.
00:48:35.840 --> 00:48:44.079
If we hold breakout is continued, if we lose, we may be looking into 81.9 and then 70k to 80k, as you know.
00:48:44.239 --> 00:48:53.280
But as I said in the beginning, if we keep chopping sideways, we can also retest the 50k weekly moving average very, very soon.
00:48:53.440 --> 00:49:00.480
Right now, you may wonder where does this 50k weekly moving average sit around 77.6, guys.
00:49:00.559 --> 00:49:04.320
So this is where it stands at this moment today, as we speak.
00:49:04.559 --> 00:49:08.480
I think the post from the trend actually shows that a little bit better.
00:49:08.800 --> 00:49:14.960
Not better because it's a weekly and there is a lot of prices here, but you can see that it's way below where we are at the moment.
00:49:15.039 --> 00:49:22.960
So we're talking about almost um, I mean 5 to 6k below where the actual Bitcoin price as we speak right now.
00:49:23.119 --> 00:49:24.880
But those are the lines, right?
00:49:24.960 --> 00:49:26.239
Those are the things that you need to do.
00:49:26.320 --> 00:49:32.559
The ceiling right now seems to be 85 to 85.5, um, at least of the four-hour charge.
00:49:32.719 --> 00:49:39.760
We may close below above that, and if we do, then 87 begins the new target, potentially a 90k.
00:49:39.840 --> 00:49:43.840
But 87.3 is the highest we have touched last week.
00:49:44.000 --> 00:49:49.519
So um the upside is kind of the same size as the downside, I'd say.
00:49:49.599 --> 00:49:55.440
So we are kind of like in the middle of everything, and 83 is working as support for us at the moment.
00:49:55.599 --> 00:50:04.960
But as I said in the beginning, two things to be very mindful of Wednesday's PCE inflation print and Friday's jobs report.
00:50:05.039 --> 00:50:08.480
So Wednesday and Friday, we should see some fluctuation in the prices.
00:50:08.639 --> 00:50:14.159
Hopefully, it's for the good and not for the bad, and we keep this continuation on BTC.
00:50:14.320 --> 00:50:18.079
Before I turn back to you, Jonathan, quick one on Quant.
00:50:18.159 --> 00:50:21.760
As you guys can see, Quant's charge looks absolutely insane.
00:50:22.000 --> 00:50:25.199
Jonathan mentioned about why I mean the pump this week.
00:50:25.360 --> 00:50:31.760
And basically, for you guys to understand, Quant sells software called Overledger to banks.
00:50:31.920 --> 00:50:39.760
Uh, it's a universal adapter that lets one bank's tokenized money talk to another bank system and hold payment rails.
00:50:40.159 --> 00:50:50.159
Basically, it brings the regular stuff that banks already do in the traditional finance to crypto, to tokenized stocks, which is very interesting, right?
00:50:50.320 --> 00:51:09.440
Um, and um a couple of four days ago, is I think on September 24th, uh the clearinghouse owned it by about 25 of the biggest US banks, uh moving over two trillions a day, picket quantum to run the connecting layer of its tokenized deposit network live in the first half of 2027.
00:51:09.920 --> 00:51:12.719
Guys, this is the main reason why the price is moving.
00:51:12.880 --> 00:51:19.920
And one of the community analysts here, Aura X, mentions that he she sees quant actually pulling back after hitting the resistance.
00:51:20.159 --> 00:51:24.320
Um, and buyers are still active above 250, 260.
00:51:24.400 --> 00:51:26.000
There, there is a demand zone.
00:51:26.079 --> 00:51:37.199
Um, it has held well, and every dip during this run, if it can defend that, then we can see a retest of 290 and a possible push towards$380.
00:51:37.920 --> 00:51:44.880
So that if that happens, it will put the$427 all-time high back in play.
00:51:45.119 --> 00:51:47.280
This is something very important and very interesting.
00:51:47.360 --> 00:51:55.199
And I'll be honest with you, the main takeaway from me here on this quant analysis is not the price, it's not quant the token, but it's a technology.
00:51:55.440 --> 00:52:08.239
You we need to understand that whatever is done here on the traditional world today to make the system work will need to be done also the same for tokenized stocks, assets, etc.
00:52:08.800 --> 00:52:19.679
And the providers of that infrastructure, if they can somehow um transfer some of that value to the token of their projects, man, that's what's gonna happen.
00:52:19.760 --> 00:52:20.960
It's going to skyrocket.
00:52:21.119 --> 00:52:30.960
Um, does it mean that quant the token is going to always reflect what quantum the company is doing value-wise?
00:52:31.199 --> 00:52:32.400
I I can't tell you that.
00:52:32.480 --> 00:52:33.199
I don't know.
00:52:33.360 --> 00:52:43.679
Because as we know, there are companies such as Uniswap, I mean Chainlink and others that do having same good businesses, but they it doesn't necessarily reflect on the price of the token.
00:52:43.840 --> 00:52:45.840
Uh, quantum may be different, maybe not.
00:52:46.000 --> 00:52:47.039
I think we need to wait and see.
00:52:47.280 --> 00:52:49.599
Regardless, it's outperforming the market right now.
00:52:49.760 --> 00:52:56.000
And Jonathan, let me know also, not just about quantum, but also BTC, how you feel about both of those tokens today?
00:52:56.239 --> 00:53:02.079
Yeah, I mean, I first of all, I think your your point about quant is a a really interesting one.
00:53:02.239 --> 00:53:19.920
And yeah, I mean, with tokenization seemingly the next, like already becoming a major thing, and all of these institutions and people saying that you know we're gonna have seven quadrillion gazillion dollars worth of tokenized assets in the next 30 years or whatever.
00:53:20.159 --> 00:53:27.840
Like uh what's the expression, selling shovels during uh or sh selling pickaxes during a gold run or something like that?
00:53:28.079 --> 00:53:43.679
Like whoever is able to, whoever's gonna be able to build that infrastructure that is behind the tokenization and be the one that is successful in doing so has the potential to be you know massive.
00:53:43.920 --> 00:54:01.920
And I'm not gonna say I don't know enough about this topic to say that that's gonna be quant for sure, but I think that this quant case is an interesting, maybe bellwether or example of that in the same way that like in NVIDIA sells the chips for AI, and NVIDIA is this like extremely massive company because of it.
00:54:02.079 --> 00:54:21.840
Uh, if quant is able to, if this software or any other crypto project software is able to be the one that is, pardon my long going off the one that is uh institutionalized into the weekend of tokenization, then yeah, there's massive, massive opportunity there.
00:54:22.480 --> 00:54:31.519
As for Bitcoin, yeah, I mean, I I I think I said this at the beginning, I'm kind of just gonna have to be in a I think a wait and see mood.
00:54:31.760 --> 00:54:37.760
I appreciate you shouting out all those levels, levels to watch um in the next few days.
00:54:37.920 --> 00:54:45.679
I'm gonna be keeping an eye out um, you know, 84k, I think is what Glass Node said is a really important level to watch.
00:54:45.760 --> 00:54:53.360
I've heard also, in addition to what uh the TIU showed, 80 to 82k is in a very important, important level to watch.
00:54:53.519 --> 00:54:58.639
So, and we're kind of hovering around, you know, all those important levels.
00:54:58.960 --> 00:55:09.599
So I think we're gonna have to watch the charts very carefully, very carefully um this week and perhaps into next week and see how it all plays out.
00:55:09.679 --> 00:55:20.400
But I don't know if I'm really uh in a position to give some sort of like price prediction for where Bitcoin's gonna go next, other than just, you know, I'm gonna be watching those lines in the sand very closely.
00:55:20.719 --> 00:55:21.519
Yeah, 100%.
00:55:21.840 --> 00:55:23.039
I'll do the same here.
00:55:23.280 --> 00:55:26.960
And uh hopefully Bitcoin will trend upwards instead of downwards.
00:55:27.119 --> 00:55:33.119
That said, there are some tokens that are unlocking this week, and people that have them on their bags need to pay attention to.
00:55:33.199 --> 00:55:38.480
And I know you have the list to share with us, so please go ahead and do it before we wrap things up today, Jonathan.
00:55:39.760 --> 00:55:41.519
I will go through these pretty quickly.
00:55:41.760 --> 00:55:52.960
First, we have uh what I suppose will be a pretty major token unlock, given the name associated with it, which is Hyper Liquid, which unlocks at uh 2311 p.m.
00:55:53.199 --> 00:55:54.800
UTC today.
00:55:55.039 --> 00:55:56.559
So that is happening today.
00:55:56.719 --> 00:55:58.000
I mean, uh, what is that?
00:55:58.159 --> 00:56:00.159
2300 is how many hours?
00:56:00.400 --> 00:56:01.679
I can't do the math right now.
00:56:01.840 --> 00:56:03.840
It is coming up today in a few hours.
00:56:04.880 --> 00:56:17.280
That'll be yes, 9.29 million tokens unlocked, 4.5% of the circulating supply for an estimated value of 904 million to 919 million.
00:56:17.360 --> 00:56:22.880
So approximately nearly$1 billion in value for hyperliquid unlocked today.
00:56:23.119 --> 00:56:32.400
Next up we have Falcon Finance, token F, uh sorry, ticker FF being unlocked tomorrow for 77.14 million.
00:56:32.559 --> 00:56:38.960
That is 2.51% of the circulating supply at a value of 10.2 million, approximately USD.
00:56:39.119 --> 00:56:45.679
We have SUI, SUI, being unlocked October 1st, 13.26 million tokens.
00:56:45.840 --> 00:56:54.320
That is only 0.32% of the circulating supply at an estimated USD value of approximately 16.7 million.
00:56:54.559 --> 00:57:17.360
We have IGINCloud, ticker IEGEN, being unlocked October 1st, uh, also on October 1st for 36.82 million tokens, 5.19% of the circulating supply for an estimated value of 10.3 million, and finally we have Athena ticker ENA unlocked October 2nd.
00:57:17.519 --> 00:57:28.159
Total tokens unlocked will be 40.63 million, that is 0.45% of the circulating supply for an estimated value of 11 million.
00:57:28.480 --> 00:57:40.000
So if you are holding any of those tokens, I guess in particular the hyperliquid one, uh, especially because it's taking place today, be sure that you are aware of these token unlocks.
00:57:40.159 --> 00:57:48.480
You make your trades, your sales, your holding, whatever decisions you need to make accordingly with this information in mind.
00:57:48.559 --> 00:57:56.159
You can also these token unlocks on the coinmarketcap.com website in case you need again.
00:57:56.320 --> 00:57:59.519
So yeah, just keep those in mind and I will pass it back to you.
00:57:59.760 --> 00:58:01.360
Yeah, thanks for sharing that, Jonathan.
00:58:01.440 --> 00:58:07.599
So for everyone who missed it, we are talking about Hyper Liquid, Falcon Finance, Sui, Eigen Claude, and Ethena.
00:58:07.920 --> 00:58:12.079
Those are the five major projects that are having big token unlocks this week.
00:58:12.239 --> 00:58:16.239
Worth noticing at least so you don't miss out on anything.
00:58:16.400 --> 00:58:18.320
Jonathan, I think that's a wrap for today's show.
00:58:18.480 --> 00:58:20.960
Any final messages to the audience before I call it a day?
00:58:21.199 --> 00:58:26.159
Ooh, stay uh stay bullish, DCA, stack sets.
00:58:26.719 --> 00:58:30.320
That's not financial advice, but uh that's my personal approach.
00:58:30.480 --> 00:58:32.159
That's my that's my final thoughts.
00:58:32.400 --> 00:58:35.199
I think that's what we should do every single day, by the way, guys.
00:58:35.280 --> 00:58:46.639
So be careful out there, make sure to know what's going on, what we can what can drive the markets, the key catalyst we've mentioned that is one on Wednesday, one on Friday, and there are some levels of BTC that we definitely should be looking into.
00:58:46.800 --> 00:58:52.480
As I said, close to 83k now as the key support right now for BTC.
00:58:52.559 --> 00:58:55.199
Still is a support, can become resistance if we break below.
00:58:55.360 --> 00:59:00.079
But regardless, 79 is another one, and then the 50-week moving average.
00:59:00.239 --> 00:59:03.280
That's another one that should be definitely looked into.
00:59:03.440 --> 00:59:05.760
That's wrap for today's weekly crypto forecast, guys.
00:59:05.840 --> 00:59:10.000
Before we leave, quick heads up, nothing we share on this show, of course, is financial advice.
00:59:10.079 --> 00:59:16.239
We always recommend you to do your own research before aping into any token from BTC to quant to whatever.
00:59:16.320 --> 00:59:23.840
Just make sure to use CMC because we have the best tools for your decision making, and therefore you can avoid getting wrecked out there.
00:59:24.000 --> 00:59:28.079
We'll be back here next Monday, same time, fresh alphas, fresh insights.
00:59:28.320 --> 00:59:32.559
You can catch us live just by downloading the CMC app and turning on notification.
00:59:32.639 --> 00:59:34.400
Nothing gets easier than that.
00:59:34.559 --> 00:59:37.840
And shout out to Jonathan, because we'll be here again next week, 3 p.m.
00:59:38.000 --> 00:59:44.159
HTC, me and him to get you on top of all the latest crypto news and things that you need to know for the week.
00:59:44.320 --> 00:59:45.679
See you here next week, Jonathan.
00:59:45.840 --> 00:59:46.320
Yes, sir.
00:59:46.480 --> 00:59:47.119
Looking forward to it.
00:59:47.199 --> 00:59:47.760
It'll be fun.
00:59:47.840 --> 00:59:50.800
And of course, shout out to you as well for holding it down.
00:59:50.880 --> 00:59:58.400
And shout out to everybody in the community for all of your comments, your chats, and for hanging out with us for this hour and 10 minutes today.
00:59:58.559 --> 00:59:59.280
Very much appreciated.
00:59:59.679 --> 01:00:08.239
100% long live, but definitely needed to get you guys on top of all the latest crypto stuff, and so you can be prepared for the week.
01:00:08.320 --> 01:00:14.800
No better place for you to be prepared, by the way, for what's coming ahead on the crypto week than the weekly crypto forecast by CMC.
01:00:14.880 --> 01:00:17.440
And I mean, family, see you all here next week.
01:00:17.599 --> 01:00:21.280
Until then, make sure to stay informed, stay safe, and keep huddling.
01:00:21.440 --> 01:00:22.400
See you in a couple days.
01:00:22.559 --> 01:00:24.000
Bye bye, keep safe.
00:00:03.520 --> 00:00:08.080
All the CMC family around here, we have more than 5k people already listening to us.
00:00:08.240 --> 00:00:09.759
So warm welcome to everyone.
00:00:09.839 --> 00:00:21.760
All the gents, the farmers, the haulers, the day traders, the guys that were and were not affected by everything that happened later last week in crypto, you know, like hacks, big exchanges, and that kind of stuff.
00:00:21.920 --> 00:00:26.800
I think end of the day, no user is going to I mean suffer the damage of it.
00:00:26.879 --> 00:00:40.320
But I mean, we all I mean, I think in in a way or another, you were affected by it, either by the news, either by like changing your funds from where they are to another place, or to just like second guessing what you're doing with your crypto and how you're hosting it.
00:00:40.479 --> 00:00:48.079
So um, I mean, I just want to tell you that we are here to try to comfort you, give some updates on it, and that everything is gonna be fine at the end of the day.
00:00:48.159 --> 00:00:52.960
But you are now listening and potentially watching the weekly crypto forecast by CoinMarketCap.
00:00:53.119 --> 00:00:58.240
I'm your host, Gabriel Zani, and together with me today I have Jonathan CMC's content lead.
00:00:58.399 --> 00:01:01.039
Jonathan, I know you shared a little bit already, but how are you doing?
00:01:01.119 --> 00:01:01.840
All good, all final?
00:01:03.200 --> 00:01:08.640
Doing well, doing fine, you know, getting ready to look at the charts here.
00:01:08.799 --> 00:01:11.680
Bitcoin, we can talk about whether Bitcoin is doing fine or not.
00:01:11.840 --> 00:01:14.879
Uh, that's a whole other conversation that I think we're gonna get into.
00:01:15.040 --> 00:01:19.359
But me for myself, yeah, doing uh doing well here on this Monday morning for me.
00:01:19.680 --> 00:01:32.159
Good to know, good to know because I saw some people here in the live chat talking about quant, and we are going to go over that on the TA section today, not just BTC, but also a little bit of quant, some context for everyone that is like living in a cave, doesn't know what's going on.
00:01:32.239 --> 00:01:37.840
We're going to tell you exactly what's going on with quant and why the tokens pumping, what's happening there.
00:01:38.000 --> 00:01:49.280
But just for the listeners or new listeners out here, just know you can catch us live every Monday by just downloading the CMC app, turning on the notifications, and we will let you know every single time we go live.
00:01:49.439 --> 00:01:55.840
In case you rather go for another option, just know that all the episodes are waiting for you here on the CMC Live Hub.
00:01:55.920 --> 00:02:02.640
You can assess that both from your web um CMC website and from your application on your phone as well.
00:02:02.719 --> 00:02:05.760
You can just go to community lives and you'll find us there.
00:02:06.000 --> 00:02:15.599
But in case, I mean those two options are not a thing for you, you also have a third option at Spotify, Apple Podcasts, whatever you listen to your podcasts, you can also find us there.
00:02:15.680 --> 00:02:18.719
And if you do, make sure to rate and give a review.
00:02:18.879 --> 00:02:20.319
But Jonathan, let's kick things off.
00:02:20.400 --> 00:02:22.960
How bullish are you feeling about this week?
00:02:23.120 --> 00:02:25.120
I know the prices are not doing well.
00:02:25.280 --> 00:02:30.800
I mean, to kick off the Monday, but potentially we're gonna have some fluctuations, some volatility this week.
00:02:30.960 --> 00:02:35.919
So, I mean, just dive into it as I share my screen here and you let us know how you feel about it.
00:02:36.159 --> 00:02:36.879
Sounds good.
00:02:37.039 --> 00:02:40.879
So, yeah, uh, I guess as Gab pulls up and shares the screen here.
00:02:41.039 --> 00:02:49.199
First of all, just a reminder, in case you are just joining, uh, at least here on the desktop, it's showing uh Alice as the co-host.
00:02:49.280 --> 00:02:51.120
Uh, I am not Alice, I am Jonathan.
00:02:51.280 --> 00:02:55.599
Just to explain that, uh, it it uh yeah, it is it is me.
00:02:55.759 --> 00:02:56.719
It is me, Jonathan.
00:02:56.800 --> 00:03:00.240
I I am now Alice for for worse, I suppose.
00:03:00.400 --> 00:03:04.560
I was gonna say for better or for worse, but I think it's mostly for worse because Alice is pretty cool.
00:03:04.639 --> 00:03:14.879
But yeah, uh pulling up the chart here, I will say that to the question of how bullish am I.
00:03:15.439 --> 00:03:26.960
If we look at the uh charts here, I'm gonna do my best uh to again channel my inner Alice here to do a good job in sharing all this data for you.
00:03:27.199 --> 00:03:37.360
If we start with just looking at Bitcoin, you can see that Bitcoin is sitting at around$83,000 and maybe 38 cents sorry,$83,038.
00:03:37.919 --> 00:03:45.680
So we are down 1.75% over 24 hours and 3.8% over seven days.
00:03:45.840 --> 00:03:57.759
So, however, I guess I would say I'm slightly less bullish than I was this time last week when we watched Bitcoin, you know, jump from like 80k up to 87k.
00:03:58.080 --> 00:04:07.520
However, having watched these last two uh pumps over the last you know couple of months or so, we've kind of just rocketed, rocketed up.
00:04:07.599 --> 00:04:10.400
And a lot of them have occurred on Mondays as well.
00:04:10.560 --> 00:04:12.879
So I am certainly not holding out.
00:04:13.120 --> 00:04:14.400
What am I trying to say here?
00:04:14.639 --> 00:04:21.920
Uh I I I am hoping maybe that we get another one of these kind of rocket liquidation short squeeze pumps.
00:04:22.000 --> 00:04:24.000
I think it's certainly possible, maybe not today.
00:04:24.160 --> 00:04:38.879
I have no idea, but I've not fully lost my bullish energy just because we are down from 87k, because looking at the last few weeks has shown me that all it takes is a few hours to kind of shoot us back up to get a short squeeze and shoot us back up again.
00:04:39.120 --> 00:04:48.959
And all it takes sometimes is some new announcements from the FC, the uh from uh an American regulator, let's say, to get some of that bullish energy pumping again.
00:04:49.040 --> 00:04:55.120
But it is perhaps we are coming down a little bit from the uh energy that we had post-Clarity Act and uh regulation.
00:04:55.279 --> 00:05:01.600
So continuing looking down, we've got Ethereum up, uh, sorry, down 3.83% over seven days.
00:05:01.759 --> 00:05:13.279
Sorry, that's Bitcoin down 3.1% over seven days, B down 5.77%, XRP down 1.22%, Solana down 0.5%.
00:05:14.480 --> 00:05:17.199
So generally, we are a bit in the red.
00:05:17.360 --> 00:05:24.000
I will look at the seven-day top performers in just a moment here, but first let's look at the broader market status.
00:05:24.160 --> 00:05:27.600
If you want to click into the uh market overview, Gab.
00:05:28.319 --> 00:05:29.759
Sure enough, I'm going there.
00:05:30.240 --> 00:05:38.800
And yeah, we will see that uh we are still very squarely in the greed zone.
00:05:39.040 --> 00:05:49.759
So regardless of Bitcoin being down just a tad, you know, I think it's down when it fell like five percent or something from its uh sixty-seven thousand dollar recent high.
00:05:49.839 --> 00:05:54.079
We are still firmly in greed territory at 69.
00:05:54.720 --> 00:05:59.759
We are also still in an altcoin season at 61.
00:05:59.839 --> 00:06:06.560
Now, some of you may notice last week that when Bitcoin was dropping, altcoins were pumping.
00:06:06.720 --> 00:06:12.399
And so you'll see in the altcoin season chart that we are still in an altcoin season.
00:06:12.480 --> 00:06:18.319
Now, you'll see here that Gab is showing below here the top 100 coins over 90 days.
00:06:18.480 --> 00:06:30.319
So, again, there are always good performers, even in what somebody might consider a bear market or not as bullish market, uh, or in conditions that are less favorable for Bitcoin.
00:06:30.399 --> 00:06:48.079
So you can see over the last 90 days we have pawns on an absolute tear, 5,240 up over 90 days, Zcash, no surprise there as well, uh up seven, sorry, 287% over 90 days.
00:06:48.240 --> 00:06:57.680
Uh Athena, ENA, 266% over 90 days, quant, which we'll get into, 262% over 90 days, uh, Nier as well.
00:06:57.839 --> 00:07:04.000
We might get into a little bit later, 190, 179% over 90 days.
00:07:04.079 --> 00:07:09.040
So there are still certainly coins, uh altcoins that are performing quite well.
00:07:09.279 --> 00:07:21.759
Now, if you go back to the main page view, and if you sort by seven-day performance, you get another insight into some of the altcoins that are performing quite well.
00:07:22.000 --> 00:07:31.839
Again, we have quant up 238% over seven days, as by far the standout performer over the past seven days.
00:07:32.000 --> 00:07:38.879
Again, I think Gab's gonna get into that a little bit later in the TA section on maybe some reasons as to why Quant is pumping.
00:07:39.040 --> 00:07:40.879
Uh, I forget how you say this one.
00:07:41.040 --> 00:07:44.639
Uh SEI say, I don't know if I've had to say this out loud.
00:07:44.720 --> 00:07:45.680
I always read it.
00:07:45.920 --> 00:07:53.839
Up 28%, Hadera, 28%, Layer Zero, 22%, Python 20%, near 20%.
00:07:54.720 --> 00:08:04.480
So less of an explosive week these past seven days for altcoins, but with again, with that that pretty clear exception being quant.
00:08:04.959 --> 00:08:07.120
Okay, did I uh miss anything?
00:08:07.279 --> 00:08:12.480
Maybe I'll do a quick shout-out, a quick pitch here for CMCA.
00:08:12.800 --> 00:08:16.879
So maybe if you scroll, if you go to the, I should probably look at this window here.
00:08:16.959 --> 00:08:29.040
If you go to Quant and you click into um, because I'm sure there's gonna be a lot that we're not gonna simply not gonna have the time to get into today.
00:08:29.519 --> 00:08:36.000
So if you go to Quant and you click at uh you click Seymour, let's say what have you chosen here?
00:08:36.240 --> 00:08:44.559
I chose actually quant powers 25 bank tokenized deposit network because that's kind of the main catalyst, which we are still going through, by the way, guys.
00:08:44.639 --> 00:08:47.840
So don't worry too much if you don't get it necessarily.
00:08:48.000 --> 00:08:50.000
But uh, but that's I think the big thing here.
00:08:50.240 --> 00:08:50.720
Exactly.
00:08:50.879 --> 00:09:03.120
So uh if you're ever curious as to why a coin is pumping and you simply do not have the patience to wait until uh you know crypto weekly forecast to find out, you can always go to the coins page.
00:09:03.279 --> 00:09:12.159
You click, you scroll down past the charts, and there's a handy dandy CMCAI bar with some pre-filled questions there.
00:09:12.320 --> 00:09:19.360
In this case, it's showing you kind of the hot topic Q and T Powers 25 bank tokenization, uh tokenized deposit.
00:09:19.519 --> 00:09:36.000
You can click into that and you can get some insight into why Quant is trending and why its price has been up uh over the past seven days, and certainly outperforming a lot of the other top altcoins, top uh altcoins by market cap, I should say.
00:09:36.240 --> 00:09:39.919
So, yeah, I'm doing my best to do my Alice today.
00:09:40.000 --> 00:09:46.240
I think I covered just about everything that is important as we head into today's show.
00:09:46.480 --> 00:09:54.240
Uh, I guess I will pass it back to you, Gab, and just kind of get your general thoughts as to where you stand.
00:09:54.399 --> 00:09:55.039
Are you bearish?
00:09:55.120 --> 00:09:55.679
Are you bullish?
00:09:55.759 --> 00:09:56.480
Are you waiting see?
00:09:56.720 --> 00:10:00.480
And kind of what do you what are you thinking going into this week when it comes to the markets?
00:10:00.799 --> 00:10:02.960
Yeah, I think we're gonna get there, Jonathan.
00:10:03.039 --> 00:10:08.639
I think there are some tokens, as we mentioned, Quantwe is one example, and there are other tokens that have some upside this week.
00:10:08.799 --> 00:10:11.440
Regardless, I think we have two days of data.
00:10:11.519 --> 00:10:13.519
I think one on Wednesday, one on Friday.
00:10:13.600 --> 00:10:17.279
I'm not quite sure, but I know that we're going to unpack that through the live as well.
00:10:17.440 --> 00:10:22.559
Um, I think there is a jobs report and something else coming out this week that can actually shake the market.
00:10:22.799 --> 00:10:25.759
And I'm not as bullish this week, to be very honest.
00:10:25.840 --> 00:10:27.679
I think I'm a little bit more bearish.
00:10:27.919 --> 00:10:34.879
That said, I think the I mean the line in the sand is the 50-week um moving average.
00:10:35.039 --> 00:10:38.399
So I don't think we're going that down if we go down this week.
00:10:38.639 --> 00:10:40.960
Everything that I'm saying here, guys, no worry.
00:10:41.039 --> 00:10:46.000
We won't back through the live, but I do think that we may retest the high 70s this week.
00:10:46.080 --> 00:10:46.879
Let's wait and see.
00:10:47.039 --> 00:10:47.919
Hopefully, I'm wrong.
00:10:48.080 --> 00:10:49.360
Hopefully, none of that happens.
00:10:49.440 --> 00:10:52.480
The data comes out really good, and we just skyrocket from here.
00:10:52.639 --> 00:10:53.679
But that's how I'm feeling.
00:10:53.759 --> 00:10:55.600
You ask it how I'm feeling, right?
00:10:55.679 --> 00:10:58.399
So that's why I'm sharing my thoughts.
00:10:58.480 --> 00:11:00.159
I'm not I'm not as bullish, though.
00:11:00.240 --> 00:11:05.600
I am seeing uh comments here from Web3 Titan here saying to the moon and all that.
00:11:05.759 --> 00:11:09.440
So, yeah, I mean, hopefully that's kind of what happens.
00:11:09.600 --> 00:11:14.240
Luke is also mentioned about uh Coinmark Cat campaign after the PP change as well.
00:11:14.320 --> 00:11:16.000
Yeah, we changed our PFP on Twitter.
00:11:16.080 --> 00:11:21.840
So if you guys haven't seen the new profile picture from CMC on X, make sure to check it out.
00:11:22.000 --> 00:11:24.000
Uh, regardless, that's how I'm feeling.
00:11:24.080 --> 00:11:29.919
I don't know if that's the same from you, but um, I do know that there is a lot happening this week that we need to unpack.
00:11:30.000 --> 00:11:37.039
So feel free to let me know how you feel and also go ahead and start unpacking a little bit of the big things that happen out this week.
00:11:37.519 --> 00:11:42.240
Yeah, we do have a lot of a lot of data this week on September 29th, which is tomorrow.
00:11:42.399 --> 00:11:46.080
We have the Jolts job openings, which is August data.
00:11:46.320 --> 00:11:52.480
September 30th, we have uh private payroll data, we have Q2 GDP.
00:11:52.720 --> 00:11:57.120
This is for the US, uh, personal income and outlays PCE inflation.
00:11:57.360 --> 00:12:03.279
We have um, and then this would be October 1st, which is Thursday.
00:12:03.519 --> 00:12:16.000
We have weekly initial jobless claims, we have ISM manufacturing PMI for September, and then Friday we have employment situation and non-farm payrolls to September jobs report.
00:12:16.080 --> 00:12:22.559
So, yeah, lots of economic data coming out this week, which will inform um uh you know a lot of things.
00:12:22.639 --> 00:12:26.879
It'll inform how people will probably you know approach their their investing this week.
00:12:27.039 --> 00:12:38.799
It will approach, it'll inform uh likely the next Fed rate hike odds that we have and uh coming up, not immediately, but you know, in several weeks.
00:12:38.960 --> 00:12:41.360
So yeah, a lot, a lot to watch this week.
00:12:41.600 --> 00:12:51.200
And yeah, I think it's uh potentially I say this a lot, but it may end up being another one of these kind of wait and see and watch what happens, what happens weeks.
00:12:51.360 --> 00:12:59.600
Uh, not really sure what sort of bullish momentum we could get this week, but there is always room for a surprise, and I'm always happy to be surprised.
00:12:59.679 --> 00:13:09.120
Now, one thing that happened last week, which was a surprise, which was not a very pleasant surprise, which may be top of mind for many of you, was this BitGet hack.
00:13:09.360 --> 00:13:16.080
So uh I do want to just go over that briefly because it was pretty big news.
00:13:16.159 --> 00:13:21.919
Now, as Gab was saying in our intro, and for those of you who um are coming in later, maybe you missed this.
00:13:22.159 --> 00:13:31.919
This just to get this out front, BitGet is saying that all of the losses will be covered by its kind of a recovery, recovery program.
00:13:32.240 --> 00:13:40.159
And so it is saying not to worry, you know, none of none of uh, no customers will actually incur any losses.
00:13:40.320 --> 00:13:41.919
So I'll get that out front.
00:13:42.159 --> 00:13:44.159
Now that said, what happened?
00:13:44.399 --> 00:13:50.639
So Bitget Security Systems flagged unauthorized transfers from its hot and warm wallets.
00:13:50.879 --> 00:13:55.360
This was at 1831 UTC, so 6.31 p.m.
00:13:55.519 --> 00:13:58.080
UTC on September 24.
00:13:58.399 --> 00:14:05.120
So at first they estimated the losses were at 365, 351.6 million.
00:14:05.279 --> 00:14:14.159
However, the next day it was revised to 387.5 million once they were able to account for Zcash and Tron transfers.
00:14:14.320 --> 00:14:18.320
Now this makes it the largest crypto hack of 2026.
00:14:18.720 --> 00:14:25.279
CEO Gracie Chin says that no private keys were stolen and no user withdrawals were forged.
00:14:25.440 --> 00:14:32.080
They also say that the uh exploit avenue has been patched at this point and no longer remains available.
00:14:32.240 --> 00:14:49.279
But basically, what seems to have happened is that the attackers got into a back-end system in their wallet infrastructure, their hot and warm wallet infrastructure, and were able to spoof transaction data so that Bit get its own approval process, signed payouts that to the process looked routine.
00:14:49.440 --> 00:14:56.960
Now, GoPlus has described this compromise as a compromise of the transaction signing trust chain.
00:14:57.279 --> 00:15:07.120
And uh again, CEO Chen says the attack bears North Korea's state-sponsored hacking footprints, although nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
00:15:07.360 --> 00:15:22.399
Now, there is a bit of a debate, sort of a both a philosophical and technical debate that has come out of this, which is what assets can and cannot be frozen, what stolen assets, as well as what stolen assets should and should not be frozen.
00:15:22.480 --> 00:15:28.559
So Circle and Tether were pretty quick to freeze about 3200,000.
00:15:28.799 --> 00:15:34.960
Sorry, three, I cannot say numbers today, 300 3200, 3200,000.
00:15:35.360 --> 00:15:36.159
A ton of money.
00:15:36.320 --> 00:15:36.799
That's the same thing.
00:15:38.320 --> 00:15:39.759
And USDT.
00:15:40.080 --> 00:15:44.399
So uh you can look at that and it's basically what is that?
00:15:44.639 --> 00:15:53.120
I can't do math, uh, 101% or something, 0.1% of the stolen assets, if I'm doing my math correctly.
00:15:53.200 --> 00:15:58.639
So there's 387 million stolen, and they were able to freeze 320,000.
00:15:59.039 --> 00:16:01.360
So not very much.
00:16:02.240 --> 00:16:11.840
Uh, there also is nearly 103 million XRP sitting in five attacker accounts, uh, and about 83 million of that has been stolen.
00:16:12.000 --> 00:16:22.000
So Ripple is as an organization is able to freeze tokens issued on the XRP ledger, but it is not able to freeze XRP itself.
00:16:22.159 --> 00:16:41.519
Some of the funds are also reportedly being swapped via ThorChain, and ThorChain has taken basically a philosophical stance where they say they uh will not freeze uh and perhaps cannot freeze any uh any assets that are being moved through Thorchain.
00:16:41.600 --> 00:16:44.960
So the CEO directly asked Thorchain to freeze the assets.
00:16:45.120 --> 00:16:50.639
ThorChain says it is decentralized and permissionless, like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and B chain.
00:16:50.799 --> 00:17:18.079
00:17:18.319 --> 00:17:23.359
So basically they are saying that they will not and cannot censor by design.
00:17:23.519 --> 00:17:26.559
It is a public goods tool.
00:17:26.960 --> 00:17:28.319
So I don't know.
00:17:28.400 --> 00:17:54.960
00:17:55.039 --> 00:17:56.480
Is that gonna be a detriment?
00:17:56.720 --> 00:18:03.599
Or is it gonna be kind of just a blip on the radar ultimately, and you know, people are gonna forget about it?
00:18:03.680 --> 00:18:10.880
Uh, or just any other thoughts you have on, you know, what is the largest exchange hack, the largest hack of 2026?
00:18:11.519 --> 00:18:16.400
Yeah, I have a lot of thoughts to be honest, on I think many parts of this issue.
00:18:16.480 --> 00:18:19.119
I would love to know what the community thinks as well.
00:18:19.359 --> 00:18:22.559
And I I actually have one question for everyone that is listening right now.
00:18:22.720 --> 00:18:30.000
Like, I just wanted to understand what your guys' stance is on should these funds be frozen or not.
00:18:30.160 --> 00:18:45.759
I think that's the the philosophical question that we have here in terms of like um the technology is permissionless, therefore there should be no nothing freeze, or no no no, this is a hack, and therefore we should be freezing whatever happens with it.
00:18:45.839 --> 00:18:50.000
Like, doesn't matter if we are permissionless, we have the option to act on it.
00:18:50.160 --> 00:18:51.920
Uh, I really wanted to know what people think.
00:18:52.000 --> 00:18:53.359
I have my take on it.
00:18:53.519 --> 00:18:57.039
Um, I think making it like long story short, right?
00:18:57.200 --> 00:19:04.000
Or long thought process short, I think being permissionless is one of the key crypto uh differentials.
00:19:04.240 --> 00:19:10.240
Therefore, um I think torque chain is actually doing the right thing, in my opinion.
00:19:10.400 --> 00:19:11.200
But that's just me.
00:19:11.359 --> 00:19:13.359
And I understand the other side of thinking as well.
00:19:13.599 --> 00:19:25.200
There are a lot of things that I agree on that side, uh, but I do think that if crypto bends towards that side, I think we are just with the same as the regular financial system that we have at the moment.
00:19:25.279 --> 00:19:27.839
So there's no differential point, you know what I'm saying?
00:19:27.920 --> 00:19:34.079
So, like what is going to prevent anything else from happening in the future in terms of like freezing funds and all that.
00:19:34.240 --> 00:19:35.440
So that's my take.
00:19:35.599 --> 00:19:45.519
Um, but I know it's not necessarily the I mean, I think I think the the the pleasest thing to hear uh either from Torre Chain or for anyone that thinks like that.
00:19:45.759 --> 00:19:48.480
So yeah, but that's that's how I feel about this.
00:19:48.640 --> 00:19:53.039
And I think that not just exchanges, but a lot of crypto businesses do make a lot of money, right?
00:19:53.119 --> 00:19:55.039
Uh, because of transaction fees, etc.
00:19:55.279 --> 00:20:00.640
So they have or they should have enough money to cover for security flaws, right?
00:20:00.720 --> 00:20:07.119
Uh, and this goes from exchanges to wallets to whatever is, I mean, businesses are raising money out there.
00:20:07.200 --> 00:20:15.200
They if they know that we are playing a dangerous game, you need to have a fund like that to make sure that your users do not get affected.
00:20:15.279 --> 00:20:18.319
Because if they do, then you are probably killing your own business.
00:20:18.400 --> 00:20:24.880
Uh, but if they don't, if you have something that, hey, we made an issue, there was a security issue, someone hacked us, but hey, you know what?
00:20:25.039 --> 00:20:27.200
Your funds, nah, that's not gonna be affected.
00:20:27.279 --> 00:20:28.640
It's all on us, it's our fault.
00:20:28.720 --> 00:20:30.559
We are blamed for it, and we are gonna cover.
00:20:30.960 --> 00:20:35.440
That kind of gives people, I think, more of a sense of like, yeah, I mean, at the end of the day, it is what it is.
00:20:35.519 --> 00:20:38.079
Uh, it may happen, and and that's how it happens.
00:20:38.160 --> 00:20:40.960
So I uh that's those are my thoughts.
00:20:41.039 --> 00:20:43.279
And yeah, I know there are a lot of people that think differently.
00:20:43.359 --> 00:20:44.319
Maybe you do, Jonathan.
00:20:44.400 --> 00:20:44.799
I don't know.
00:20:44.880 --> 00:20:45.759
Uh, let me know.
00:20:46.000 --> 00:20:50.000
But uh, but yeah, that's that's how I feel about all this this hack thing.
00:20:50.319 --> 00:20:52.240
No, I I I tend to agree with you.
00:20:52.400 --> 00:20:53.759
You know, it sucks, obviously.
00:20:53.920 --> 00:20:55.519
The situation is very unfortunate.
00:20:55.759 --> 00:20:56.400
It's a mess.
00:20:56.480 --> 00:21:01.759
But I'm glad that uh it seems like no users are gonna be directly impacted.
00:21:01.920 --> 00:21:11.359
Obviously, you know, if you were relying on uh being able to withdraw money so you could pay your rent or whatever, then yes, you're gonna be directly affected, and that's awful.
00:21:11.599 --> 00:21:18.000
But in terms of a loss of funds, uh, thankfully, it seems like no users are going to be directly affected.
00:21:18.160 --> 00:21:31.599
So in this case, like you said, the insurance policy that they have uh have, which is this gigantic fund, I think it's$450 million uh worth to cover these sort of losses, is is doing its purpose.
00:21:31.759 --> 00:21:39.039
Um, and if you are operating a large business, just like in the traditional world, you you really need or you really should have insurance.
00:21:39.200 --> 00:21:44.160
In many industries, you are legally obligated to have insurance for exact reasons like this.
00:21:44.319 --> 00:21:47.519
And yeah, on the Thorchain thing, I tend to agree.
00:21:47.759 --> 00:22:12.720
Um, you know, the sort of privacy cypherpunk inside of me says like as awful as it is to to you know to kind of Of know that this sort of uh technology is being used by hackers to funnel potentially millions of dollars and make them, you know, and swap it into different assets.
00:22:12.880 --> 00:22:19.119
I I support them, I guess, for this is of course my position, not the position of CMC necessarily as a company.
00:22:19.359 --> 00:22:21.680
Of course, personally personal takes here.
00:22:21.920 --> 00:22:22.240
Yes.
00:22:22.400 --> 00:22:26.240
Personally, uh I I think it's a principled stance.
00:22:26.480 --> 00:22:45.839
Um, and I I I think they're making the right decision because uh if they don't, then we risk the we risk the possibility for regular people, activists around the world, you know, whistleblowers, people who need to be able to use the same technology for good, they're gonna lose the ability to do that.
00:22:45.920 --> 00:22:49.519
And they're they're at risk of their their privacy being taken away as well.
00:22:49.680 --> 00:22:56.480
So, you know, it's kind of one of those trade-offs that is unfortunate, but kind of, you know, privacy for all means means everybody.
00:22:57.359 --> 00:23:08.480
And just to just to sum it up, Jonathan, I think the the cool thing on the on the cool side of things is just like seeing CZ, which by the way owns CMC as well, um, just coming out and mentioning that hey, the industry must come together.
00:23:08.559 --> 00:23:11.440
We must like see if we can help like BitGet in any kind of way.
00:23:11.519 --> 00:23:13.440
And I think that's the that's the that's the vibe, right?
00:23:13.519 --> 00:23:14.640
That's the right approach.
00:23:14.799 --> 00:23:18.799
Uh, I mean, what happened, I mean, has happened, like we cannot change that.
00:23:18.960 --> 00:23:23.359
How can we actually I mean support each other so things like that doesn't happen in the future?
00:23:23.519 --> 00:23:25.759
Does Bitget need like help here and there?
00:23:25.839 --> 00:23:27.200
Like, what can we do and all that?
00:23:27.279 --> 00:23:29.119
So, yes, I think that's the key point.
00:23:29.279 --> 00:23:31.519
Um, how we act moving forward, regardless.
00:23:31.680 --> 00:23:33.039
That's kind of like my take.
00:23:33.200 --> 00:23:47.599
Um, and I do know that there are some people in the tratify business that don't care, they're still buying crypto and like topping up every single week, it seems, even though some of them do make some pauses here and there and sell some stuff as well.
00:23:47.759 --> 00:23:49.039
I need to say that.
00:23:49.200 --> 00:23:52.720
Um, but regardless, I know you have some updates on that for us as well.
00:23:53.039 --> 00:23:53.599
Yeah, yeah.
00:23:53.759 --> 00:24:12.160
So maybe pivoting into more happy news, but uh more more neutral news at the very least, uh, would be that uh a couple of updates here for BitMine and the strategy to talk about to talk about the institutional uh adoption for a second here.
00:24:12.319 --> 00:24:25.119
So the first is that strat uh sorry, Bitmine actually this past week has finally surpassed six million ether that it holds in its corporate treasury.
00:24:25.359 --> 00:24:28.240
So this is a pretty large number.
00:24:28.400 --> 00:24:30.319
I don't think I need to tell anybody that.
00:24:42.559 --> 00:24:50.640
I'll I'll shout out if I can remember, but basically he was asked if that number is going to change once he reaches five percent.
00:24:50.720 --> 00:24:59.279
And he said he's been discussing with, you know, different platforms and with his lawyers and whatever, and to stay tuned.
00:24:59.680 --> 00:25:02.799
So it is very possible that that he's just gonna keep buying.
00:25:02.960 --> 00:25:05.839
Bitmine's gonna keep buying even when they hit that five percent.
00:25:06.160 --> 00:25:16.799
But yeah, so they just surpassed six million Ethereum, a number that I can only begin to imagine holding in my own uh personal wallets.
00:25:16.880 --> 00:25:18.400
Uh one day, one day maybe.
00:25:18.559 --> 00:25:27.279
But yeah, so they purchased, to be more specific, they purchased 17,362 ETH over the past week.
00:25:27.440 --> 00:25:32.319
Tom Lee, uh BitMine chairman, called it a tremendous achievement.
00:25:32.400 --> 00:25:33.519
That is a direct quote.
00:25:33.599 --> 00:25:35.039
This is a tremendous achievement.
00:25:35.200 --> 00:25:43.599
And he said, the ever, ever the bull, he said we continue to see affirming signs that a crypto bull market is underway, having started in late June.
00:25:43.759 --> 00:25:54.319
In our view, institutions are still underweight crypto, and we expect them to be adding their exposure in adding to their exposure in the final months of 2026.
00:25:54.640 --> 00:26:05.279
And of course, he made the case that Ethereum is going to benefit from benefit from that, as it is the in his words, the um best performing macro asset, something like that, in in Q3.
00:26:05.759 --> 00:26:09.839
So now the best thing about Tom Lee, in my opinion, just sorry for cutting you out there.
00:26:09.920 --> 00:26:12.400
I'm just searching for that interview, is his hair, right?
00:26:12.480 --> 00:26:19.119
I mean, he needs to share more hair advice with people like that's a Jimmy Neutron real type of hair there.
00:26:19.279 --> 00:26:20.160
It's like insane.
00:26:20.240 --> 00:26:20.799
I love it.
00:26:21.119 --> 00:26:24.240
That's uh I just needed to make a comment about that, but that's it.
00:26:24.640 --> 00:26:25.920
Back to you, Jonathan.
00:26:26.000 --> 00:26:27.359
You can finish it up right now.
00:26:27.680 --> 00:26:45.279
Absolutely, and then I guess I will just mention quickly that uh another kind of bullish thing is that Bitcoin ETFs pulled in, it looks like$2.39 billion last week, which was their best performance since October 2025.
00:26:45.359 --> 00:26:48.079
These are US spot Bitcoin ETFs.
00:26:48.319 --> 00:26:51.759
So don't really have a uh you know much to say about that.
00:26:51.920 --> 00:27:01.599
Just wanted to throw that in there because I was just reminded uh or just thought about that real quick as I was thinking about the kind of bullish uh passing six million Ethereum.
00:27:01.680 --> 00:27:10.480
So, of course, the our other permable who I look to whenever I'm feeling sad about Bitcoin, of course, is Michael Saylor.
00:27:10.640 --> 00:27:13.519
So Strategy also announced another buy this week.
00:27:13.599 --> 00:27:17.200
This is their second week of buying in a row.
00:27:17.440 --> 00:27:20.319
After, let me just fact check this week.
00:27:20.559 --> 00:27:22.079
Sorry, fact-check this real quick.
00:27:22.240 --> 00:27:33.440
Yes, they had two weeks of buying in a row after something like three, roughly three weeks of no buys, uh, one week of buying before that, and then several weeks of selling.
00:27:33.519 --> 00:28:15.440
00:28:15.920 --> 00:28:22.880
So at the same time, Strategy has also proposing some changes to their US listed preferred stocks.
00:28:23.039 --> 00:28:33.119
So they have STRF, STRC, which is the one that gets most of the uh coverage and discussion points about it, STRK and STRD.
00:28:33.440 --> 00:28:42.000
So they have proposed, well, their board has approved, moving these preferred dividends to uh sorry, these preferred stocks to daily dividends.
00:28:42.480 --> 00:28:46.000
And this is subject to shareholder vote on October 28th.
00:28:46.319 --> 00:28:53.359
So dividends would accrue every calendar day, weekends included, and be paid out the next business day.
00:28:53.759 --> 00:28:56.559
The rates and total obligations would stay the same.
00:28:56.880 --> 00:29:04.799
STRC would switch up first with a record date of November 1st, and the others would follow in January.
00:29:05.279 --> 00:29:10.240
Strategy says this is meant to cut reinvestment lag and stabilize prices.
00:29:10.480 --> 00:29:27.039
And Saylor, Michael Saylor, you know, chairman, uh also recently said that he uh recently set out a bill of digital rights and said, pardon me, said policy should enable 10 million new companies to raise capital.
00:29:27.279 --> 00:29:38.319
So if you go, if you're curious about this bill of uh bill of digital rights, uh Saylor also published this as an essay on his X account.
00:29:38.799 --> 00:29:51.680
You go to his X account, you scroll down, he's got this essay called Uh Prescriptions for Prosperity in the Digital Age, where he lays out this uh this bill of rights.
00:29:51.839 --> 00:29:56.400
And he publishes these essays quite a uh quite frequently.
00:29:56.640 --> 00:30:17.039
Um and if you are kind of curious about the mindset, I would say, behind the person who is uh running the largest cryptocurrency digital asset treasury in the world, you know, these these essays can be kind of an interesting, interesting insight.
00:30:17.200 --> 00:30:26.000
So uh yeah, I guess that that uh tops up my institutional sort of top-up news for the day.
00:30:26.240 --> 00:30:27.279
And yeah.
00:30:27.440 --> 00:30:29.119
Uh what do you think, Gab?
00:30:29.279 --> 00:30:45.759
Do you think that we need uh I don't know if you you've had the chance to to read this this essay yet or what is considered in the the Bill of Rights, but um I guess maybe what would uh what would you want included in a in a Bill of Rights when it comes to digital assets?
00:30:46.160 --> 00:30:46.799
Yeah, man.
00:30:46.880 --> 00:30:49.440
I I mean I'll be honest with you, I have no idea.
00:30:49.519 --> 00:31:02.240
I'm not a lost person, and I mean I honestly don't I don't want to chime in too much on that, but I think the idea of like daily dividends, I mean, I don't know, maybe interesting, maybe not.
00:31:02.400 --> 00:31:06.559
I think as much adoption as we can get, I'm I'm just circle back to it every single time.
00:31:06.640 --> 00:31:09.519
I think when it comes to strategy, Tom Lee and whatever.
00:31:09.680 --> 00:31:22.400
I think the big thing that they do is actually not necessarily buy or like I mean raise prices or whatever, is just awareness, you know, just like get more people to know that there are big Wall Street people that are investing on Bitcoin, so why not me?
00:31:22.559 --> 00:31:36.319
I think that's the that's the key thing, in my opinion, that they they are doing, and that I believe they uh as long as they keep doing it, more and more people will ask themselves like, hey, what is there a company that just buys Bitcoin or a company that just buys ether?
00:31:36.480 --> 00:31:40.799
Like, oh, maybe I should be doing the same, you know, because those companies are a big thing, etc.
00:31:41.039 --> 00:31:46.880
So as long as this strategy ends up paying out for them long term, uh, I think we'll see more and more people doing the same thing.
00:31:47.039 --> 00:31:47.759
DCA, right?
00:31:47.839 --> 00:31:54.960
I saw some people here in the chat, like, hey, talking that the old DCA doesn't get enough value and that kind of thing.
00:31:55.039 --> 00:31:56.240
So yeah, I I kind of agree.
00:31:56.400 --> 00:32:09.359
I think that a lot of people that just DCA through time are doing much better than a lot of people that spend and invest a lot of time trying to trade and this and that and meme coins, like you, yeah, you may earn more, but what are you losing on this other side of things, right?
00:32:09.440 --> 00:32:12.079
On in terms of time and other stuff that you can do in life.
00:32:12.160 --> 00:32:17.920
So, I I mean, my take is I love that they keep involved, they keep being involved in a bullish way.
00:32:18.000 --> 00:32:21.839
That's that's I mean, I want them to keep doing that as long as they would like to.
00:32:21.920 --> 00:32:24.000
I would love to see that that keep going on.
00:32:24.079 --> 00:32:24.880
But what about you?
00:32:24.960 --> 00:32:25.759
Do you think the same?
00:32:25.839 --> 00:32:31.920
I uh that said, I would also love to earn dividends on every single crypto asset that I hold.
00:32:32.160 --> 00:32:38.000
And that said, I think nowadays there are a lot of products out there that kind of let you do that even with your BTC.
00:32:38.079 --> 00:32:46.000
You can get your BTC to actually earn you some income across, I mean, just exchanges and other fancy stuff that you can do on the DeFi world.
00:32:46.160 --> 00:32:53.200
So I I don't think that that will be a new thing, but for sure, for Normi's 100% is it it's a no-brainer.
00:32:53.839 --> 00:32:54.799
Yeah, yeah.
00:32:55.039 --> 00:33:01.759
Yeah, I mean, it's it's always fun to see and kind of follow um both Tom Lee and Michael Saylor.
00:33:02.000 --> 00:33:11.599
Now, obviously, we need to keep in mind they do have some financial reasons why they might be so Bitcoin on bullish and Ethereum, you know, considering how much of it their companies hold.
00:33:11.759 --> 00:33:15.759
So I guess it's always sort of important to keep that in mind, excuse me, that in mind.
00:33:16.000 --> 00:33:25.279
At the same time, I have no reason to uh not believe that they are in fact bullish on a personal level uh about these two these two assets.
00:33:25.440 --> 00:33:29.359
And yeah, I don't I don't hold any of this preferred stock.
00:33:29.440 --> 00:33:35.039
I I tend to be like a set it and forget it kind of long-term investing kind of guy.
00:33:35.200 --> 00:33:46.400
So I haven't really played around very much with sort of the like kind of more interesting products, uh, whether that be in traditional finance or even in Bitcoin.
00:33:46.480 --> 00:34:00.240
Uh, I know there are other, I know people who are you know taking out loans against their Bitcoin and trying to find clever ways to leverage it or super deep in like DeFi summer, you know, uh yield farming and things like that.
00:34:00.480 --> 00:34:04.720
Uh I've always been a bit risk averse, I guess, when it comes to that kind of stuff.
00:34:04.880 --> 00:34:18.400
And I tend to just kind of find core projects or blockchains that I think uh are probably gonna be here in five to ten years and just kind of buy their, you know, DCA, as people were saying in the uh in the chat, and kind of just set it.
00:34:18.480 --> 00:34:23.360
And I check my portfolio like twice a year, to be quite frank with you.
00:34:23.519 --> 00:34:28.480
Like whenever I need to pay for an expense, I'm like I check my portfolio and I'm like, is crypto up?
00:34:28.639 --> 00:34:29.519
No, it's still down.
00:34:29.599 --> 00:34:32.000
Okay, I shouldn't, I shouldn't sell anything yet.
00:34:32.239 --> 00:34:36.960
And that's kind of the the main reason that I check to be to be quite honest with you.
00:34:37.280 --> 00:34:38.159
Yeah, and I'm with you.
00:34:38.320 --> 00:34:40.639
I think uh I I I'll kind of do the same.
00:34:40.719 --> 00:34:43.199
And um, I think through time it's going quite well.
00:34:43.360 --> 00:34:52.079
So I I I I would not complain, and that's that's definitely something that for people that don't have a lot of time to invest into the daily hustle that it is the crypto world.
00:34:52.239 --> 00:34:56.320
I I I wouldn't say that is the best use of your time to invest your time in that.
00:34:56.400 --> 00:35:03.679
Like if it's not for you, if you feel like you're investing too much time and not getting the profits that you'd like, try to play the easy game.
00:35:03.760 --> 00:35:08.639
I think long term it's I think it's it may be a better fit for some.
00:35:08.719 --> 00:35:09.199
I don't know.
00:35:09.280 --> 00:35:10.639
Yeah, absolutely.
00:35:11.119 --> 00:35:23.440
Um, but yeah, uh speaking of you know coins, I guess, or projects that are doing quite well and that are also getting uh you know sort of mainstream adoption.
00:35:23.599 --> 00:35:30.800
Uh it's been pretty pretty wild, you know, week as we showed earlier for NIR for the tokens.
00:35:30.880 --> 00:35:36.000
So I know you have a few quick hits, uh, news pieces, and then I think some TA to get into.
00:35:36.159 --> 00:35:36.400
Exactly.
00:35:36.559 --> 00:35:42.880
So I'm gonna pass it, pass it back to you, and maybe you can kind of give us the the scoop on what in the world is going on with NIR.
00:35:43.199 --> 00:35:48.800
Yeah, just to I mean wrap up this the this news section, I think there are a couple things that I wanted to point out.
00:35:48.960 --> 00:35:54.960
Uh, one is this near year's week, as you mentioned, like the ETF tokenized stocks breakout above five dollars.
00:35:55.039 --> 00:35:57.440
Like it's a lot happening um on near.
00:35:57.679 --> 00:36:03.119
Like, for example, I think uh the bitwise near ETF cleared NYCEs, uh, NYSE.
00:36:03.360 --> 00:36:09.760
So uh now we have Ondo also bringing tokenized NVIDIA, Tesla, and Apple to Nier.com.
00:36:10.079 --> 00:36:12.880
Um, Nier listed on hyperliquid as well.
00:36:13.119 --> 00:36:17.920
Token basically popped about 12%, um, crossed at the five dollar margin, as I said.
00:36:18.000 --> 00:36:19.920
Now I don't know where it's trading right now.
00:36:20.000 --> 00:36:26.719
Let me actually do a quick check on that to let you guys know exactly like what is the price that Nier is trading at the moment.
00:36:26.960 --> 00:36:29.519
But just did a did a really good week.
00:36:29.599 --> 00:36:32.079
I think right now no token is doing really well.
00:36:32.239 --> 00:36:41.280
But just for you guys to have an idea, 20% on the week now trading below the five dollar margin at 489, but regardless, it's still a really, really interesting pump.
00:36:41.440 --> 00:36:50.639
And those are some of the catalysts, like it's ETF related, it's like um uh as I've mentioned, tokenized stocks being traded on on Nier as well.
00:36:50.880 --> 00:36:52.239
Just a lot of things going on.
00:36:52.400 --> 00:36:54.559
Community overall, I think, is feeling bullish.
00:36:54.719 --> 00:37:02.800
Um, of course, they are skeptical about if Nier can actually be an AI chain in the future because that is one of the narratives that are floating out there around Nier.
00:37:03.360 --> 00:37:10.960
But regardless, it's definitely a token that has been doing really well and catching the attention for not just this week, but a couple months.
00:37:11.039 --> 00:37:14.719
I think when I saw Nier at like one dollar or so, like was doing pretty well.
00:37:14.960 --> 00:37:17.599
That said, some other stuff that I wanted to cover really quickly.
00:37:17.840 --> 00:37:20.159
Coin X turned off spot trading.
00:37:20.239 --> 00:37:22.639
Uh, we will actually turn off spot trading tomorrow.
00:37:22.719 --> 00:37:26.159
It it actually um just some stuff happening there.
00:37:26.320 --> 00:37:28.800
Bitmax, as we know, closed it last week.
00:37:28.880 --> 00:37:29.679
Um, too.
00:37:29.760 --> 00:37:32.159
It's a mid-tier kind of thinning out.
00:37:32.400 --> 00:37:42.719
So CoinX is just some for some that may have funds on CoinX, make sure to check all the news and details about it to understand everything that happens if you have coins there.
00:37:42.880 --> 00:37:46.960
I think their message is to withdraw before December 22nd.
00:37:47.360 --> 00:37:52.079
Um, anything left after that gets hit with a five percent monthly fee.
00:37:52.239 --> 00:37:56.800
So just just know what to do, understand what you're playing with and where your coins are.
00:37:56.960 --> 00:38:00.559
Um if you use CoinX in the past, maybe you still have some fun sitting there.
00:38:00.639 --> 00:38:02.159
That happens with a lot of people in crypto.
00:38:02.320 --> 00:38:06.800
You use an exchange once, you leave some stuff there, so make sure to check it out.
00:38:07.039 --> 00:38:10.800
The other one, and I think it's a fun one, at the same time, interesting.
00:38:11.039 --> 00:38:18.639
California just made it illegal, and I know you're not living in California right now, Jonathan, but you may have some takes on it for politicians to launch meme coins.
00:38:18.719 --> 00:38:25.599
Uh, the governor actually signed a law on Sunday banning state and local officials from issuing or promoting, okay?
00:38:25.760 --> 00:38:32.000
Not just issuing, but you can also not promote any meme coins, and it's effective from January 1st onwards.
00:38:32.159 --> 00:38:33.280
Very interesting, of course.
00:38:33.360 --> 00:38:42.960
I think most of it is driven because of all the crazy thing, the craziness brought by the Trump coin and everything related to it.
00:38:43.039 --> 00:38:47.519
And now we had just like Biden's uh Hunter Biden's laptop token as well.
00:38:47.679 --> 00:38:49.360
So, yeah, a lot going on.
00:38:49.519 --> 00:38:52.800
Uh, takes on this, any like how how you feel about it?
00:38:52.880 --> 00:38:58.639
Like, I think it's something that everyone should, like, every I'd say public institution should do.
00:38:58.800 --> 00:39:08.800
Like, no public exposure person should have a meme con a meme token just because it's like, yeah, it's gonna pump, you know, and some people are going to be damaged by it.
00:39:09.119 --> 00:39:13.679
Yeah, I I have no complaints um with this with this this law.
00:39:13.840 --> 00:39:25.920
I think it should be right up there with formally banning, you know, politicians and government officials from gambling on prediction markets, which which a lot of um a lot of regulations are now starting to do as well.
00:39:26.559 --> 00:39:39.360
And I I feel like these kind of celebrity, but maybe I'll say personality celebrity meme coins have uh perhaps done irreparable harm to to the crypto space, if I may be so bold.
00:39:39.519 --> 00:39:41.039
Uh I'll try to keep this very quick.
00:39:41.199 --> 00:39:50.800
I know we've got some TA to get into, but I was watching just a little bit of this clip of Hunter Biden talking with Rain Wilson, who is a place Dwight on The Office.
00:39:51.360 --> 00:40:01.440
And if when you listen to people like that talk about their perception of crypto, they they just think of like these meme coins.
00:40:01.760 --> 00:40:04.719
That's like all we understand crypto to be is like pump and dumps.
00:40:04.960 --> 00:40:22.800
And so I think anything we could be doing to limit, especially um those in in office from issuing meme coins is a great is a great step in sort of starting to repair the reputation of crypto in the mainstream.
00:40:23.039 --> 00:40:24.800
So yeah, I'll I'll leave it at that.
00:40:24.880 --> 00:40:29.280
Uh somebody says you just need some exit liquidity, certainly not financial advice.
00:40:29.519 --> 00:40:32.400
Um, but yeah, so I'll I'll leave my thoughts out there.
00:40:32.639 --> 00:40:35.280
Yeah, and I think you're a spot on just be careful, guys.
00:40:35.360 --> 00:40:41.280
Whenever public people comes with meme coins, uh there's a big chance that you end up being um exit liquidity.
00:40:41.360 --> 00:40:42.159
So be careful.
00:40:42.320 --> 00:40:46.079
Last thing on my end is just like Solana big upgrade did not launch today.
00:40:46.159 --> 00:40:51.519
A lot of people were expecting it, um, and kind of like banking on it, but it's postponed.
00:40:51.679 --> 00:40:58.320
And uh the unofficial, unofficial, unofficial, once more, unofficial date is November 9th.
00:40:58.400 --> 00:41:00.639
So don't expect it to happen there, but it may.
00:41:00.800 --> 00:41:12.559
Um, this is um an upgrade called Alpenglow, and it may reduce uh or cut confirmation time from 12.18 seconds, which is today for Solana, to 150 milliseconds.
00:41:12.719 --> 00:41:13.199
Insane.
00:41:13.360 --> 00:41:14.880
Sounds insane, yeah, for sure.
00:41:14.960 --> 00:41:19.920
Uh let's see how it plays out, but it's still on testnet, mainnet, probably by November.
00:41:20.000 --> 00:41:21.519
The community is okay with it though.
00:41:21.679 --> 00:41:23.199
No big deal, no big problem.
00:41:23.360 --> 00:41:31.920
Jonathan, with that, I ask you can I jump into some TA to give people numbers to look for throughout this week on BTC site?
00:41:32.079 --> 00:41:32.960
Yes, you may.
00:41:34.559 --> 00:41:38.800
Okay, so I'm just going to go straight up to it, opening here.
00:41:38.960 --> 00:41:47.599
The first post from the trend at the trend here on CMC Community, as you can see, verified creator, quite big one and quite good one as well.
00:41:47.760 --> 00:41:59.119
Um, he says some curse words here, which I'm not going to mention while I'm going through this, but I'll just leave the trading view analysis from him here open while I'll go through some of the details about it.
00:41:59.280 --> 00:42:05.280
Basically, he zooms out all the way on the weekly chart and makes the cleanest bull case on the list today.
00:42:05.360 --> 00:42:17.280
He says that Bitcoin has now closed its first week candle above May heights, and it's the second consecutive week close above the 50-week moving average average, as I've mentioned before.
00:42:17.440 --> 00:42:19.519
This is one thing that I'm also looking into.
00:42:19.679 --> 00:42:24.320
A signal that he says here historically mark the end of every single bear market.
00:42:24.400 --> 00:42:27.440
I think we covered that also on topics a couple weeks ago.
00:42:27.599 --> 00:42:34.880
This is definitely one of the key things that most traders look into for a bear market slash bull market confirmation.
00:42:35.039 --> 00:42:36.480
So keep that in mind, guys.
00:42:36.639 --> 00:42:40.239
Um, but um, he's not necessarily chasing it.
00:42:40.400 --> 00:42:48.400
His point is that after Bitcoin reclaims that fifth week um EMA, uh, the price usually comes back to retest it before continuing higher.
00:42:48.480 --> 00:42:53.760
So the zone um he wants to see is between 77.6 and 78k.
00:42:54.000 --> 00:42:56.719
So between 77 highs and 78k.
00:42:56.960 --> 00:42:58.880
Um, and there's a nice detail there.
00:42:58.960 --> 00:43:03.039
If Bitcoin just chops sideways, that moving average keeps rising, right?
00:43:03.119 --> 00:43:04.559
That's one thing that you guys need to have in mind.
00:43:04.719 --> 00:43:19.599
Bitcoin price doesn't necessarily need to go all the way down to test the moving average because it's a moving average, therefore, if the price keeps like in the same level that it is, it's going to I mean go higher and higher, and boom, at some point you can actually touch it there.
00:43:19.760 --> 00:43:26.239
So, um, at this point in time, he's patient, he is letting the price come to him, waiting for confirmation.
00:43:26.480 --> 00:43:28.400
So, no, don't go too crazy, guys.
00:43:28.480 --> 00:43:37.519
We may go down as I said in the beginning this week, but um, there's also a chance that we just chop sideways and the moving average come to us at some point.
00:43:37.679 --> 00:43:39.119
Moving on to Mr.
00:43:39.360 --> 00:43:41.280
FX takes here.
00:43:41.360 --> 00:43:43.119
I'll do the same thing that I just did.
00:43:43.280 --> 00:43:46.159
Make sure to have the chart open for you guys as I go through it.
00:43:46.239 --> 00:43:48.079
So it's a four-hour chart, by the way.
00:43:48.159 --> 00:43:56.960
So you know, um, he mentions that Bitcoin here has been stuck between this box uh roughly between 82 and 85k for about a week, right?
00:43:57.119 --> 00:43:59.679
Um, and he sees a slightly bearish bearish.
00:44:00.239 --> 00:44:05.440
Structure on the one hour chart, but the higher time frames are still clearly bullish.
00:44:05.519 --> 00:44:08.880
The one hour is the only one that is kind of bearish on his view.
00:44:09.039 --> 00:44:13.199
So his plan is to actually buy weakness rather than chase strength here.
00:44:13.360 --> 00:44:23.840
The idea is that price dips about 81k, maybe close to 82, a level that has acted as resistance before on the way up and should now act as support.
00:44:23.920 --> 00:44:28.559
Because as you guys know, once we break the resistance, resistance turns into support.
00:44:28.639 --> 00:44:30.880
And that's the great thing about trading, right?
00:44:31.039 --> 00:44:35.679
And bounces from um, I mean, from there could be another leg higher.
00:44:35.840 --> 00:44:41.599
Um, he mentions about one trade that he's doing, and he mentions that his stop is actually at 79.9.
00:44:41.920 --> 00:44:46.559
Um, so he's risking like about 2.4 percent to be wrong, right there.
00:44:46.719 --> 00:44:53.760
Um, and what is actually useful here is that uh it puts a number on the dip, like he mentions about the actual number.
00:44:53.840 --> 00:45:03.840
If it be BTC slips below this range, then a break under 80k is where he will admit that his plan has failed and he will lose some money.
00:45:03.920 --> 00:45:17.119
So um 81.9 seems to be the number that he is looking into at the moment, and just for everyone to know, BTC is now trading at 83.3, so we are still not in that range just yet.
00:45:17.199 --> 00:45:18.400
So kudos for Mr.
00:45:18.559 --> 00:45:23.119
FX, who is actually uh performing well on his trade at this time.
00:45:23.280 --> 00:45:26.000
Things may go sideways soon, but let's wait and see.
00:45:26.239 --> 00:45:32.000
Next post that we have here is actually from the boss at CryptoTheBox X.
00:45:32.079 --> 00:45:38.800
Here, he actually shares a vertical analysis, which means that he is actually doing this on his phone, which I love to see.
00:45:38.960 --> 00:45:50.639
So he mentions a couple interesting things here looking at Bitcoin dominance, which I saw some people by the way talking about this on the chat today, mentioned about Bitcoin dominance, how important it is to look into it.
00:45:50.800 --> 00:45:53.760
As you know, it's a share of Bitcoin's hope crypto market.
00:45:53.920 --> 00:45:59.599
Um, and usually, guys, when we see dominance falling, altcoins are outperforming, and vice versa.
00:45:59.840 --> 00:46:14.400
So um they he actually have been tracking a bare flag here, a pattern um that we all know in the trading space, uh, where price drops sharply, then drifts upwards in a narrow channel before typically breaking down again.
00:46:14.480 --> 00:46:15.599
That's the key point.
00:46:15.760 --> 00:46:17.840
It breaks down once more.
00:46:18.000 --> 00:46:26.400
So dominance is now sitting on the lower edge of that flag, as you guys can see in the image here, um, right above the support floor, about 58%.
00:46:26.880 --> 00:46:39.840
And his read is that this 58% dominance floor um and the flag both break, that confirms the pattern, and dominance drops sharply, which in plain terms mean altcoin rotation.
00:46:40.000 --> 00:46:43.119
We are already seeing some altcoins outperforming or doing quite well.
00:46:43.280 --> 00:46:46.239
Jonathan mentioned about that in the beginning of the live today.
00:46:46.320 --> 00:46:57.599
So if the buyers defend 58% and push back towards 60% of the dominance, this setup is completely invalidated and money keeps going back to BTC.
00:46:58.000 --> 00:47:05.280
But this is where coins such as Quant, Near, and others may benefit a scenario like this.
00:47:05.440 --> 00:47:12.480
So that's why I brought it up because it kind of like puts in perspective what may happen with BTC and the rest of the market.
00:47:12.639 --> 00:47:18.400
That said, to wrap it up, moving into Bitcoin price again here with Xylia Grace.
00:47:18.639 --> 00:47:29.039
A warning he I mean or she here points out that Bitcoin managed a weekly close above 83, but it's now trading right back at that May high mention about the trend.
00:47:29.119 --> 00:47:35.039
Also, the first influencers that we covered, which is the level it just broke out of, right?
00:47:35.199 --> 00:47:39.519
So that's a classic make or break moment in her words here.
00:47:39.679 --> 00:47:43.280
If the breakout is real, this level holds and becomes a new floor.
00:47:43.360 --> 00:47:50.719
If sellers push price below it, the breakout is fit, and the next area of interest will be between 79 and 80k.
00:47:50.800 --> 00:47:52.960
So everyone is kind of watching the same thing, guys.
00:47:53.039 --> 00:48:01.679
That 82.983 range as the major resistance slash support was resistance before, now became support.
00:48:01.760 --> 00:48:02.719
We are fighting that.
00:48:02.800 --> 00:48:11.199
We are a little bit above that right now as we speak, but going below may get us to touch 79 or 80 very, very soon.
00:48:11.360 --> 00:48:19.599
Um, and you may notice that 78 to 80 is also where um the second influencer has its stop loss, right?
00:48:19.760 --> 00:48:21.920
And that kind of ties everything together.
00:48:22.079 --> 00:48:33.119
So if I would give you guys a combined read on today's TA, is that Bitcoin is kind of like standing on the level that decides the week, which will which is this 83k level.
00:48:33.280 --> 00:48:35.679
The floor is 83, it's May high.
00:48:35.840 --> 00:48:44.079
If we hold breakout is continued, if we lose, we may be looking into 81.9 and then 70k to 80k, as you know.
00:48:44.239 --> 00:48:53.280
But as I said in the beginning, if we keep chopping sideways, we can also retest the 50k weekly moving average very, very soon.
00:48:53.440 --> 00:49:00.480
Right now, you may wonder where does this 50k weekly moving average sit around 77.6, guys.
00:49:00.559 --> 00:49:04.320
So this is where it stands at this moment today, as we speak.
00:49:04.559 --> 00:49:08.480
I think the post from the trend actually shows that a little bit better.
00:49:08.800 --> 00:49:14.960
Not better because it's a weekly and there is a lot of prices here, but you can see that it's way below where we are at the moment.
00:49:15.039 --> 00:49:22.960
So we're talking about almost um, I mean 5 to 6k below where the actual Bitcoin price as we speak right now.
00:49:23.119 --> 00:49:24.880
But those are the lines, right?
00:49:24.960 --> 00:49:26.239
Those are the things that you need to do.
00:49:26.320 --> 00:49:32.559
The ceiling right now seems to be 85 to 85.5, um, at least of the four-hour charge.
00:49:32.719 --> 00:49:39.760
We may close below above that, and if we do, then 87 begins the new target, potentially a 90k.
00:49:39.840 --> 00:49:43.840
But 87.3 is the highest we have touched last week.
00:49:44.000 --> 00:49:49.519
So um the upside is kind of the same size as the downside, I'd say.
00:49:49.599 --> 00:49:55.440
So we are kind of like in the middle of everything, and 83 is working as support for us at the moment.
00:49:55.599 --> 00:50:04.960
But as I said in the beginning, two things to be very mindful of Wednesday's PCE inflation print and Friday's jobs report.
00:50:05.039 --> 00:50:08.480
So Wednesday and Friday, we should see some fluctuation in the prices.
00:50:08.639 --> 00:50:14.159
Hopefully, it's for the good and not for the bad, and we keep this continuation on BTC.
00:50:14.320 --> 00:50:18.079
Before I turn back to you, Jonathan, quick one on Quant.
00:50:18.159 --> 00:50:21.760
As you guys can see, Quant's charge looks absolutely insane.
00:50:22.000 --> 00:50:25.199
Jonathan mentioned about why I mean the pump this week.
00:50:25.360 --> 00:50:31.760
And basically, for you guys to understand, Quant sells software called Overledger to banks.
00:50:31.920 --> 00:50:39.760
Uh, it's a universal adapter that lets one bank's tokenized money talk to another bank system and hold payment rails.
00:50:40.159 --> 00:50:50.159
Basically, it brings the regular stuff that banks already do in the traditional finance to crypto, to tokenized stocks, which is very interesting, right?
00:50:50.320 --> 00:51:09.440
Um, and um a couple of four days ago, is I think on September 24th, uh the clearinghouse owned it by about 25 of the biggest US banks, uh moving over two trillions a day, picket quantum to run the connecting layer of its tokenized deposit network live in the first half of 2027.
00:51:09.920 --> 00:51:12.719
Guys, this is the main reason why the price is moving.
00:51:12.880 --> 00:51:19.920
And one of the community analysts here, Aura X, mentions that he she sees quant actually pulling back after hitting the resistance.
00:51:20.159 --> 00:51:24.320
Um, and buyers are still active above 250, 260.
00:51:24.400 --> 00:51:26.000
There, there is a demand zone.
00:51:26.079 --> 00:51:37.199
Um, it has held well, and every dip during this run, if it can defend that, then we can see a retest of 290 and a possible push towards$380.
00:51:37.920 --> 00:51:44.880
So that if that happens, it will put the$427 all-time high back in play.
00:51:45.119 --> 00:51:47.280
This is something very important and very interesting.
00:51:47.360 --> 00:51:55.199
And I'll be honest with you, the main takeaway from me here on this quant analysis is not the price, it's not quant the token, but it's a technology.
00:51:55.440 --> 00:52:08.239
You we need to understand that whatever is done here on the traditional world today to make the system work will need to be done also the same for tokenized stocks, assets, etc.
00:52:08.800 --> 00:52:19.679
And the providers of that infrastructure, if they can somehow um transfer some of that value to the token of their projects, man, that's what's gonna happen.
00:52:19.760 --> 00:52:20.960
It's going to skyrocket.
00:52:21.119 --> 00:52:30.960
Um, does it mean that quant the token is going to always reflect what quantum the company is doing value-wise?
00:52:31.199 --> 00:52:32.400
I I can't tell you that.
00:52:32.480 --> 00:52:33.199
I don't know.
00:52:33.360 --> 00:52:43.679
Because as we know, there are companies such as Uniswap, I mean Chainlink and others that do having same good businesses, but they it doesn't necessarily reflect on the price of the token.
00:52:43.840 --> 00:52:45.840
Uh, quantum may be different, maybe not.
00:52:46.000 --> 00:52:47.039
I think we need to wait and see.
00:52:47.280 --> 00:52:49.599
Regardless, it's outperforming the market right now.
00:52:49.760 --> 00:52:56.000
And Jonathan, let me know also, not just about quantum, but also BTC, how you feel about both of those tokens today?
00:52:56.239 --> 00:53:02.079
Yeah, I mean, I first of all, I think your your point about quant is a a really interesting one.
00:53:02.239 --> 00:53:19.920
And yeah, I mean, with tokenization seemingly the next, like already becoming a major thing, and all of these institutions and people saying that you know we're gonna have seven quadrillion gazillion dollars worth of tokenized assets in the next 30 years or whatever.
00:53:20.159 --> 00:53:27.840
Like uh what's the expression, selling shovels during uh or sh selling pickaxes during a gold run or something like that?
00:53:28.079 --> 00:53:43.679
Like whoever is able to, whoever's gonna be able to build that infrastructure that is behind the tokenization and be the one that is successful in doing so has the potential to be you know massive.
00:53:43.920 --> 00:54:01.920
00:54:02.079 --> 00:54:21.840
Uh, if quant is able to, if this software or any other crypto project software is able to be the one that is, pardon my long going off the one that is uh institutionalized into the weekend of tokenization, then yeah, there's massive, massive opportunity there.
00:54:22.480 --> 00:54:31.519
As for Bitcoin, yeah, I mean, I I I think I said this at the beginning, I'm kind of just gonna have to be in a I think a wait and see mood.
00:54:31.760 --> 00:54:37.760
I appreciate you shouting out all those levels, levels to watch um in the next few days.
00:54:37.920 --> 00:54:45.679
I'm gonna be keeping an eye out um, you know, 84k, I think is what Glass Node said is a really important level to watch.
00:54:45.760 --> 00:54:53.360
I've heard also, in addition to what uh the TIU showed, 80 to 82k is in a very important, important level to watch.
00:54:53.519 --> 00:54:58.639
So, and we're kind of hovering around, you know, all those important levels.
00:54:58.960 --> 00:55:09.599
So I think we're gonna have to watch the charts very carefully, very carefully um this week and perhaps into next week and see how it all plays out.
00:55:09.679 --> 00:55:20.400
But I don't know if I'm really uh in a position to give some sort of like price prediction for where Bitcoin's gonna go next, other than just, you know, I'm gonna be watching those lines in the sand very closely.
00:55:20.719 --> 00:55:21.519
Yeah, 100%.
00:55:21.840 --> 00:55:23.039
I'll do the same here.
00:55:23.280 --> 00:55:26.960
And uh hopefully Bitcoin will trend upwards instead of downwards.
00:55:27.119 --> 00:55:33.119
That said, there are some tokens that are unlocking this week, and people that have them on their bags need to pay attention to.
00:55:33.199 --> 00:55:38.480
And I know you have the list to share with us, so please go ahead and do it before we wrap things up today, Jonathan.
00:55:39.760 --> 00:55:41.519
I will go through these pretty quickly.
00:55:41.760 --> 00:55:52.960
First, we have uh what I suppose will be a pretty major token unlock, given the name associated with it, which is Hyper Liquid, which unlocks at uh 2311 p.m.
00:55:53.199 --> 00:55:54.800
UTC today.
00:55:55.039 --> 00:55:56.559
So that is happening today.
00:55:56.719 --> 00:55:58.000
I mean, uh, what is that?
00:55:58.159 --> 00:56:00.159
2300 is how many hours?
00:56:00.400 --> 00:56:01.679
I can't do the math right now.
00:56:01.840 --> 00:56:03.840
It is coming up today in a few hours.
00:56:04.880 --> 00:56:17.280
That'll be yes, 9.29 million tokens unlocked, 4.5% of the circulating supply for an estimated value of 904 million to 919 million.
00:56:17.360 --> 00:56:22.880
So approximately nearly$1 billion in value for hyperliquid unlocked today.
00:56:23.119 --> 00:56:32.400
Next up we have Falcon Finance, token F, uh sorry, ticker FF being unlocked tomorrow for 77.14 million.
00:56:32.559 --> 00:56:38.960
That is 2.51% of the circulating supply at a value of 10.2 million, approximately USD.
00:56:39.119 --> 00:56:45.679
We have SUI, SUI, being unlocked October 1st, 13.26 million tokens.
00:56:45.840 --> 00:56:54.320
That is only 0.32% of the circulating supply at an estimated USD value of approximately 16.7 million.
00:56:54.559 --> 00:57:17.360
We have IGINCloud, ticker IEGEN, being unlocked October 1st, uh, also on October 1st for 36.82 million tokens, 5.19% of the circulating supply for an estimated value of 10.3 million, and finally we have Athena ticker ENA unlocked October 2nd.
00:57:17.519 --> 00:57:28.159
Total tokens unlocked will be 40.63 million, that is 0.45% of the circulating supply for an estimated value of 11 million.
00:57:28.480 --> 00:57:40.000
So if you are holding any of those tokens, I guess in particular the hyperliquid one, uh, especially because it's taking place today, be sure that you are aware of these token unlocks.
00:57:40.159 --> 00:57:48.480
You make your trades, your sales, your holding, whatever decisions you need to make accordingly with this information in mind.
00:57:48.559 --> 00:57:56.159
You can also these token unlocks on the coinmarketcap.com website in case you need again.
00:57:56.320 --> 00:57:59.519
So yeah, just keep those in mind and I will pass it back to you.
00:57:59.760 --> 00:58:01.360
Yeah, thanks for sharing that, Jonathan.
00:58:01.440 --> 00:58:07.599
So for everyone who missed it, we are talking about Hyper Liquid, Falcon Finance, Sui, Eigen Claude, and Ethena.
00:58:07.920 --> 00:58:12.079
Those are the five major projects that are having big token unlocks this week.
00:58:12.239 --> 00:58:16.239
Worth noticing at least so you don't miss out on anything.
00:58:16.400 --> 00:58:18.320
Jonathan, I think that's a wrap for today's show.
00:58:18.480 --> 00:58:20.960
Any final messages to the audience before I call it a day?
00:58:21.199 --> 00:58:26.159
Ooh, stay uh stay bullish, DCA, stack sets.
00:58:26.719 --> 00:58:30.320
That's not financial advice, but uh that's my personal approach.
00:58:30.480 --> 00:58:32.159
That's my that's my final thoughts.
00:58:32.400 --> 00:58:35.199
I think that's what we should do every single day, by the way, guys.
00:58:35.280 --> 00:58:46.639
So be careful out there, make sure to know what's going on, what we can what can drive the markets, the key catalyst we've mentioned that is one on Wednesday, one on Friday, and there are some levels of BTC that we definitely should be looking into.
00:58:46.800 --> 00:58:52.480
As I said, close to 83k now as the key support right now for BTC.
00:58:52.559 --> 00:58:55.199
Still is a support, can become resistance if we break below.
00:58:55.360 --> 00:59:00.079
But regardless, 79 is another one, and then the 50-week moving average.
00:59:00.239 --> 00:59:03.280
That's another one that should be definitely looked into.
00:59:03.440 --> 00:59:05.760
That's wrap for today's weekly crypto forecast, guys.
00:59:05.840 --> 00:59:10.000
Before we leave, quick heads up, nothing we share on this show, of course, is financial advice.
00:59:10.079 --> 00:59:16.239
We always recommend you to do your own research before aping into any token from BTC to quant to whatever.
00:59:16.320 --> 00:59:23.840
Just make sure to use CMC because we have the best tools for your decision making, and therefore you can avoid getting wrecked out there.
00:59:24.000 --> 00:59:28.079
We'll be back here next Monday, same time, fresh alphas, fresh insights.
00:59:28.320 --> 00:59:32.559
You can catch us live just by downloading the CMC app and turning on notification.
00:59:32.639 --> 00:59:34.400
Nothing gets easier than that.
00:59:34.559 --> 00:59:37.840
And shout out to Jonathan, because we'll be here again next week, 3 p.m.
00:59:38.000 --> 00:59:44.159
HTC, me and him to get you on top of all the latest crypto news and things that you need to know for the week.
00:59:44.320 --> 00:59:45.679
See you here next week, Jonathan.
00:59:45.840 --> 00:59:46.320
Yes, sir.
00:59:46.480 --> 00:59:47.119
Looking forward to it.
00:59:47.199 --> 00:59:47.760
It'll be fun.
00:59:47.840 --> 00:59:50.800
And of course, shout out to you as well for holding it down.
00:59:50.880 --> 00:59:58.400
And shout out to everybody in the community for all of your comments, your chats, and for hanging out with us for this hour and 10 minutes today.
00:59:58.559 --> 00:59:59.280
Very much appreciated.
00:59:59.679 --> 01:00:08.239
100% long live, but definitely needed to get you guys on top of all the latest crypto stuff, and so you can be prepared for the week.
01:00:08.320 --> 01:00:14.800
No better place for you to be prepared, by the way, for what's coming ahead on the crypto week than the weekly crypto forecast by CMC.
01:00:14.880 --> 01:00:17.440
And I mean, family, see you all here next week.
01:00:17.599 --> 01:00:21.280
Until then, make sure to stay informed, stay safe, and keep huddling.
01:00:21.440 --> 01:00:22.400
See you in a couple days.
01:00:22.559 --> 01:00:24.000
Bye bye, keep safe.
