ОБ ЭТОМ ЭПИЗОДЕ
What do Firestarter and Frozen, ironically, have in common? Will Drew Barrymore do our sequel if we ask really nicely? And is George C. Scott in the running for best movie psychopath?
On this episode of The Wright Perspective Podcast, siblings Aubrey, Genia and Brittany Wright recap and review Firestarter (1984), a thriller/horror/sci-fi film that stars David Keith, Drew Barrymore, Martin Sheen and George C. Scott.
After reveling in the prolific career of Stephen King (02:47), Aubrey shares his vision for a Firestarter sequel (06:37) and the siblings discuss the existing remake and sequel (09:59). They pick a voting symbol (23:25), do a recap (27:33), dissect the penultimate scene (33:12) and hypothesize why the movie didn't earn critical acclaim (36:36). Aubrey, Genia and Brittany then discuss the characters, writing and broader themes (40:24), the casting and performances (49:50) and special effects (01:15:58), before voting to determine whether the movie is classic from The Wright Perspective (01:17:30).
