ОБ ЭТОМ ЭПИЗОДЕ
Ananya Das and Colin Soo explore the groundbreaking battle between Alternating Current (AC) and Direct Current (DC) in the light of the famous rivalry between Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison. The hosts break down how AC’s changing voltage and current allow efficient long-distance power transmission using transformers, while DC’s steady, one-way current is best for short-range delivery due to voltage loss over distance. This rivalry, sparked by Tesla and Edison, became one of the most important technological conflicts that shaped modern electrical power.
