ОБ ЭТОМ ЭПИЗОДЕ
Connor Zilisch joins Corey LaJoie and Ryan Flores on Stacking Pennies to talk about one of the biggest weeks of his young career.
Zilisch opens up about the decision to join Hendrick Motorsports, the first call from Rick Hendrick, and the difficult conversations with Justin Marks as he prepares to eventually leave Trackhouse. He explains why the decision kept him up at night, what Hendrick sees in him, and why he knows the expectations change when he gets behind the wheel of the No. 48.
The guys also get into the reality of Zilisch's first Cup season, sitting 34th in points, learning how massive the jump is from the O'Reilly Series to Cup, finding confidence through bad Sundays, and what he still needs to improve before making the move to Hendrick.
Plus, Connor breaks down racing on wet tires at Loudon, his run-in with Carson Hocevar, his relationship with Shane van Gisbergen, NASCAR driver numbers, Red Bull adventures, racing Scott Speed's Mount Washington hill climb on iRacing, Mario Kart battles on the team plane, and whether Red Bull could ever convince him to go 400 mph.
Corey and Skip also break down the 88 pit crew, pit-road mistakes from Loudon, the wild racing clips and crashes from around motorsports, and this week's Pit Boss of the Week.
