If your only "hobby" is catching up on sleep or professional development, your nervous system is in trouble. In this video, we explore the neurological importance of Low-Stakes Play. When we are at work, we are in a state of constant evaluation—everything has a "stake." But our brains require environments where it is safe to be "bad" at something. Without hobbies, we lose the neuro-plasticity that comes from curiosity and the vital down-regulation that prevents identity hijacking. Learn why a hobby isn't a "waste of time"—it's a clinical requirement for professional sovereignty and long-term burnout prevention.
