Daniel Morcombe: From Disappearance to Shocking Discovery

Daniel Morcombe, a 13-year-old boy with bright blue eyes and dark brown hair, stands at the bus stop under the overpass. Today, he is wearing a bright red T-shirt. It is Sunday, December 7, 2003, at 2:10 in the afternoon. She is waiting for the bus to go to Sunshine Plaza Shopping Center to get a haircut and buy Christmas presents. At home, there are her parents, Denise and Bruce Morcombe, her identical twin brother, Bradley, and her older brother, Dean.
A bus passes by but doesn't stop. Inside, there is a 13-year-old girl who notices a boy on the side of the road. There is a thin man standing behind her. Another girl on the bus, who was 17 years old, also noticed the couple. She would remember the man as someone with long hair, a beard, and sunglasses, with a gym bag by his side.
The bus driver signaled to the boy that another bus was coming. However, when the bus arrived, the boy in the red T-shirt was gone.
Years later, the police would identify and befriend the pedophile they believed targeted Daniel that day. It would become one of the most extraordinary police operations in Australian history, providing a chilling insight into one of the country's most evil killers.
