ОБ ЭТОМ ЭПИЗОДЕ
OMB Peezy sits down with Killer Mike, Cutmaster Swiff, and Bear for an honest conversation about growth, fatherhood, independence, protecting your peace, and learning when it is time to save yourself.
With his deeply personal project Save Yourself marking a new chapter in his life and career, Peezy opens up about growing up between Mobile and Sacramento, his complicated relationship with his father, becoming the kind of father he wants to be, and the lessons that came from getting shot, facing legal trouble, and watching people disappear when life got difficult.
The conversation goes deeper into why boredom can actually be peace, learning to walk away before the streets make the decision for you, communicating as a Black man, breaking generational patterns, and why Peezy believes you cannot help everyone else while your own cup is empty.
Peezy also talks about maintaining his independence in the music industry, resisting pressure to become an artist he is not, the difference between success at 19 and success at 29, ghostwriters, ego in modern hip hop, financial literacy, ownership, and why traveling outside your hometown can completely change the way you see the world.
Plus, Killer Mike, Cutmaster Swiff, and Bear get into marriage, addiction, golf, family, faith, Atlanta, Alabama, and plenty of the chaos you expect when the four of them get around the table.
This is a conversation about getting older, getting wiser, and understanding that choosing yourself does not make you weak.
Sometimes saving yourself is the strongest thing you can do.
