SOBRE ESTE EPISÓDIO
🏛️ Every empire rises. Every empire falls. But one Kingdom will stand forever.
Isaiah 13–14 isn't just about ancient Babylon.
It's about every system that exalts itself against God—and every heart tempted to trust in pride, wealth, power, or earthly security instead of Christ.
More than 700 years before Jesus was born, Isaiah prophesied the rise and fall of Babylon before it became the world's greatest empire. His message wasn't just for Judah—it still speaks powerfully to us today.
In this episode of Simple Discipleship, Andy Price, Mike Forbis, Sam Mullins, and Charles Burnett explore one of Scripture's most remarkable prophecies and explain why Isaiah's warning is just as relevant in the twenty-first century.
Together they discuss:
🏛️ Why Babylon represents more than one ancient nation
👑 The danger of pride and self-sufficiency
💰 Why wealth, power, and success can become idols
⚖️ How God uses nations—and still judges them
😈 The fall of Lucifer and the deception of Satan
🌍 Why every earthly kingdom eventually collapses
📖 How Isaiah connects directly to Revelation 18
🙌 Why Christians should live with hope instead of fear
One truth echoes throughout the conversation:
The kingdoms of this world are temporary. The Kingdom of God is eternal.
No government…
No economy…
No empire…
No political movement…
No worldly success…
will last forever.
Only Jesus Christ and His Kingdom endure forever.
That's why our hope isn't in Babylon.
Our hope is in the King who conquered death.
"I will put an end to the arrogance of the proud and humble the haughtiness of the ruthless." — Isaiah 13:11
