SOBRE ESTE EPISÓDIO
FireFly Metals Ltd managing director Steve Parsons talked with Proactive about the company’s latest copper-gold discovery at the Mount Joy prospect within the Green Bay Project in Newfoundland, Canada, and the wider regional exploration program underway around the proposed Ming Mine restart.
Parsons said Mount Joy was the latest result from roughly 12 months of regional exploration work involving airborne and ground geophysics, geochemical sampling, geological mapping and downhole surveys. He described the discovery as the product of sustained exploration rather than a single drilling campaign.
Parsons highlighted Mount Joy’s proximity to existing infrastructure, including the Nugget Pond processing facility, saying this could provide FireFly Metals with additional development options if exploration ultimately defines resources and reserves.
Looking ahead, FireFly Metals expects further regional exploration results, continued infill and step-out drilling, a maiden resource for the Main Mine regional discovery in the first quarter of next year, and continued progress towards a bankable feasibility study and final investment decision.
