Rep. Mark Gidley-Praying for Alabama: A Month of Prayer, Fasting and Faith

Representative Mark Gidley joins Greg Davis on Priority Talk to discuss Alabama’s upcoming month of prayer and fasting throughout September. Gidley explains the bipartisan legislative resolution declaring September a month of prayer and highlights plans for twice-daily prayer calls beginning September 1, leading to a statewide prayer rally at the Alabama State Capitol on September 30.

Gidley also provides an update on several major pieces of legislation passed during the 2026 session, including the Ten Commandments display law, legislation allowing volunteer chaplains in schools, and protections against elder abuse and exploitation. The conversation also touches on the new prayer room being incorporated into Alabama’s State House and the importance of Christians praying for families, children, biblical values and the future of the state.
