Tim Derk Bio
Tim Derk created the Spurs Coyote mascot in 1983. For 21 years, he entertained San Antonio fans with his stunts and tricks, even inventing the t-shirt cannon. He appeared in over 1,100 games and made over 200 yearly community appearances. In 2004, Derk suffered a massive stroke, and his time in the coyote suit came to an abrupt end. Luckily, he was able to recover and still works with Spurs Sports & Entertainment as the associate manager of service innovation. In 2006, he published his book titled, "Hi Mom, Send Sheep: My Life as the Coyote and After."
