Carly Rector: Hello and welcome to the Fast Broken podcast. I'm Carly Rector, a software engineer and startup founder. And it's only me here this time with a programming note. So due to some time constraints, we will not be having the same podcast for a while. notably, Theresa has gotten a job that has a commute now and therefore does not have as much time to put into the podcast. a little bit of context on the podcast. This is basically just like a recreational effort. My goal with it was to just do something every week. And I think we've been really successful at that. More or less, I spend ⁓ about hours a week on this podcast, about two hours recording and about three hours editing, which I do myself. I've had a lot of people contact me and ask about what I do for the podcast. And the answer is I do everything. I do everything for the podcast. but without a co-host, we'll have to see what that looks like. So I will be experimenting perhaps with some different formats over the next while. I might do a monologue style. I might start bringing on some different guests to discuss things. We'll see how it goes, but we'll probably not have the regular weekly podcasts for a while. If anyone has any ideas ⁓ would like to come on the podcast, feel free to email me at podcast at graphene software.com. ⁓ Notably, please have some real topics. ⁓ Part of actually being successful at this podcast is that I have started getting a bunch of clearly AI-generated pitches for podcast guest appearances. And having been a startup founder myself, I did ⁓ podcast circuit, for publicity. So I understand that. But you're... This isn't the podcast for that anyway. Our maximum listenership per episode is like a hundred some people, which is impressive for a podcast that I'm doing in just like my spare time, such as it is, but not that exciting for a podcast that you want to get your message out on. So, but if people have interesting topics that they want to discuss, research they've done, just like passion areas that would like, would love to talk to me about a little bit. Let me know. I'll just be trying some different stuff out. I definitely also have some topics that I may prefer to rant about on a podcast over writing substack articles, so we'll see how those ones go. But yeah, I do think overall this experiment in this podcast has been successful so far. We did keep it up for quite a while. In addition to the let me be a guest on your podcast emails, I have gotten now a couple notes. that I am in the top 1 % of podcasts and perhaps I need some professional like marketing and editing support and I don't need that, it's still just a casual podcast. But I am excited that I am in top 1 % of number of podcast episodes. And yeah, just it's been really useful to get the reps in and continue to work on that. And I think it'll be good for me going forward regardless of what shape this podcast takes going forward. So you will hear from me in this feed again sometime soon, probably with something. We'll see. And again, if you'd have ideas if you'd like to come on the show, ⁓ email at podcast at graphenesoftware.com. Otherwise, I will see you when I see you. Bye.
