Also hit that subscribe button because there's so much more to come.
00:00:18.399 --> 00:00:22.000
Now with that said, let's go ahead and talk about this subject of the day.
00:00:22.079 --> 00:00:33.359
However, before we do that, I want you to realize and recognize that this podcast involves planning, an effective daily planning, or an effective plan that takes care of you each and every day.
00:00:34.240 --> 00:00:36.159
You know, you we all need it.
00:00:36.320 --> 00:00:47.359
No matter who you are, where you're from, what you're doing, what you have, you need an effective daily plan or a plan for whatever situation that you are doing or encountering and uh moving into.
00:00:48.000 --> 00:00:55.119
So, you know, with that said, I want to touch on something that's been that's bothered me.
00:00:55.359 --> 00:01:07.120
You know, I talked a little bit uh about a week or so ago about politics and what's going on with the current administration and the questionable decision making.
00:01:07.680 --> 00:01:09.599
But that's not what I'm gonna talk about.
00:01:09.760 --> 00:01:13.519
It's on the political side of things, but it's something that bothered me.
00:01:13.840 --> 00:01:24.319
And I talked about it with others, talked about it with myself, you know, thought about it, you know, and I don't like the way things went.
00:01:24.640 --> 00:01:33.200
So this subject is do you know the situation?
00:01:34.560 --> 00:01:36.719
Again, do you know the situation?
00:01:37.840 --> 00:01:57.280
Now, my purpose for this particular topic is I'm gonna talk about the USS Abraham Lincoln and the situation there, the crisis that those sailors stated that they had out there with broken toilets and showers and plumbing and sink issues and things of that nature, and the food situation.
00:01:59.359 --> 00:02:05.680
I was very and highly disappointed at two people in particular.
00:02:07.519 --> 00:02:13.199
Our commander-in-chief and our secretary of war.
00:02:15.280 --> 00:02:25.759
You know, I did 22 years of my life in Marine Corps, and I was stationed aboard multiple ships on deployments on multiple occasions, and so many of you out there were too.
00:02:26.080 --> 00:02:37.280
So I'm not here to beat up anybody, particularly, but something took place that really bothered me and it set me off, you know, in a negative way.
00:02:38.800 --> 00:02:47.439
I've been aboard vessels, showers didn't work, toilets didn't work, and things got repaired because we were in position to do so.
00:02:47.759 --> 00:02:52.639
Normal deployment, we knew where we were going, we had everything we needed before we left, and so on and so forth.
00:02:52.719 --> 00:02:56.719
Now, this particular deployment was not just your normal, typical deployment.
00:02:56.879 --> 00:03:02.800
And on top of that, it was extended several months beyond what it was supposed to be for a carrier.
00:03:02.960 --> 00:03:12.560
Now, I didn't do the aircraft carrier side of things, I did the amphibious carrier side of things on multiple occasions.
00:03:13.039 --> 00:03:24.560
So when you get on board these ships, you have your beans, bullets, and band-aids, and you're ready to do your thing, and you know your mission inside and out, and you're ready to go.
00:03:25.039 --> 00:03:30.560
Now, as a Marine, we usually get dropped off and we go do our thing, and then we get back on the vessel.
00:03:30.719 --> 00:03:42.639
The sailors stay aboard the ship the entire way, and then they do port calls at certain times for morale purposes and psyche purposes.
00:03:43.680 --> 00:03:53.759
But the commander in chief and the secretary of war did the one thing that disappointed me and I thought was a disgrace to the U.S.
00:03:53.840 --> 00:03:54.560
military.
00:03:55.360 --> 00:04:00.000
You called these sailors liars.
00:04:03.360 --> 00:04:08.479
They're misspeaking on the conditions of what's going on in the ship.
00:04:08.879 --> 00:04:16.160
I can tell you for a fact, having been down that road on most occasions, what reason do they have the lie?
00:04:16.319 --> 00:04:25.279
That many sailors, all these sailors making these phone calls home, and they didn't even have the choice chance to do that very often because of communications issues as well.
00:04:25.839 --> 00:04:44.879
But for you to get on national TV and say, you know, they're lying or they're misspeaking on the conditions, everything is going well, the issue ain't there was no issues as far as the war itself and what we've been doing, our military been doing across the board.
00:04:45.040 --> 00:04:46.240
It's been off the chain.
00:04:46.399 --> 00:04:47.439
Boom, boom, boom.
00:04:47.600 --> 00:04:49.040
Just like it's supposed to be.
00:04:49.279 --> 00:05:01.439
But for you to point the finger when families call and ask, hey, I'm hearing about these situations, you calling the families liars as well?
00:05:01.839 --> 00:05:03.360
You're saying they misspoke.
00:05:03.519 --> 00:05:06.079
Come on, you are the Secretary of War.
00:05:07.439 --> 00:05:09.360
Did you pay close enough attention?
00:05:09.600 --> 00:05:12.240
Commander in chief, did you pay close enough attention?
00:05:12.480 --> 00:05:14.720
You know, were you out on the golf course?
00:05:14.959 --> 00:05:19.279
Or were you having some kind of big lobster fest somewhere and you didn't see it?
00:05:19.360 --> 00:05:25.040
And then the sailors get on the phone when they get an opportunity and they tell the conditions they're not going to keep their mouths shut.
00:05:25.120 --> 00:05:26.480
These guys are young.
00:05:27.360 --> 00:05:28.160
They weren't me.
00:05:28.240 --> 00:05:29.600
I was a master sergeant.
00:05:29.759 --> 00:05:38.399
And yeah, I was young in Lance Corporal Corporal types back in the days, and it wasn't that big of a deal to me because I knew I was getting off the ship to go do some things.
00:05:38.560 --> 00:05:42.079
So I wasn't staying aboard the ship the entire cycle.
00:05:43.439 --> 00:05:45.120
Like the sailors are.
00:05:46.079 --> 00:05:47.839
They know their conditions.
00:05:48.000 --> 00:05:49.600
They brought it up to their families.
00:05:49.759 --> 00:06:02.079
Their families brought it up to you, but to get on national TV and call a United States military service member a liar, or he or she is misspeaking, that hurt.
00:06:03.360 --> 00:06:04.560
You know why?
00:06:04.879 --> 00:06:08.399
Because people around the world heard that.
00:06:10.399 --> 00:06:19.519
We've lost some luster as far as where we are as a military and national power or international power, superpower.
00:06:19.680 --> 00:06:23.759
But we've lost a little luster there with the things that's going on.
00:06:24.399 --> 00:06:39.839
The unquestionable leadership that I talked about, yeah, people put in places that they really do not belong based on what I've seen and what I hear, you know, and I and I watch closely and I and I look and I listen and I talk to other people about it.
00:06:40.160 --> 00:07:00.079
But when you look at your forces out there on the water, no port call, sailors threatening to jump overboard, sailors threatening to commit suicide, and you say that you've been told that everything is all right, but you didn't take a trip out there yourself to check.
00:07:00.160 --> 00:07:02.000
You're the Secretary of War.
00:07:02.879 --> 00:07:06.399
You waited to the ninth hour to send folks out to do a visible check.
00:07:06.480 --> 00:07:16.800
Now they're finally getting ready to head home, already in route, and that's still a ways off, but they're beaten down right now.
00:07:17.920 --> 00:07:26.319
And there is no reason why, especially if you feel that way, they're just gonna come back and all of a sudden be happy.
00:07:27.360 --> 00:07:38.560
I will not be surprised if there is further damage done and somebody harms themselves over this situation because they still can't take it or they're still having nightmares about it.
00:07:38.800 --> 00:07:43.600
If you've never been on deployment and been through the storm and the ringer, then you don't know what I'm talking about.
00:07:43.680 --> 00:07:50.000
For those of you that have, especially if you caught pre hell, then you know what I'm talking about.
00:07:51.120 --> 00:08:00.720
But to call our military service members liars on national TV, and then the commander chief made that statement that really was not cool.
00:08:01.759 --> 00:08:05.839
They haven't been on deployment far long enough, or something to that effect.
00:08:06.160 --> 00:08:07.360
Are you kidding me?
00:08:07.680 --> 00:08:08.959
You're at home.
00:08:09.279 --> 00:08:11.040
All of your kids are at home.
00:08:11.279 --> 00:08:13.839
You've never been in the military.
00:08:14.480 --> 00:08:17.279
Secretary of War, he's done his time.
00:08:17.680 --> 00:08:19.839
But he's a journalist, okay?
00:08:20.319 --> 00:08:31.199
You put him in a position of power and authority, and we're firing people who know exactly what they're doing, been doing it for years, and we're putting people in places just gonna say yes to everything.
00:08:31.360 --> 00:08:37.919
And then you get up on Capitol Hill and you start getting questioned, and you go sideways with everything you're saying.
00:08:38.159 --> 00:08:42.159
And we're not even informed 100%, like we used to be.
00:08:42.320 --> 00:08:46.960
We usually know what's going on, but there's been some hidden agendas, and I'm just gonna say it to your face.
00:08:47.120 --> 00:08:50.639
If you don't like it, I can give two shits.
00:08:51.360 --> 00:09:03.120
It's just bad business to treat the United States military that way, especially when you do it on televisions that's watched around the world with a power like the United States.
00:09:03.440 --> 00:09:05.120
The enemy heard it.
00:09:06.080 --> 00:09:11.600
For some reason, I think you believe that the Iraqis are absolutely scared of the United States.
00:09:11.840 --> 00:09:14.559
Well, they are not, and they've proven they're not.
00:09:14.799 --> 00:09:17.679
They have battled us every which way but loose.
00:09:18.000 --> 00:09:20.240
And yeah, we've dominated the war.
00:09:20.639 --> 00:09:31.440
But because of questionable leadership and things that's been done, it has been a little bit of a di, I know, it has been a big disappointment in many cases.
00:09:31.759 --> 00:09:39.600
But this took the cake for you to call your military service members yours.
00:09:39.919 --> 00:09:41.759
It's you're responsible for.
00:09:42.559 --> 00:09:43.519
Liars.
00:09:43.919 --> 00:09:45.279
Oh no, they misspoke.
00:09:45.440 --> 00:09:46.080
They didn't mean that.
00:09:46.159 --> 00:09:51.279
Or whatever it is you're trying to get out there, is it a are you trying to cover something up?
00:09:52.960 --> 00:10:01.519
It's it's not about bashing you, it's about setting the record straight and making sure you put it out there publicly, yeah, that no, they didn't misspeak.
00:10:01.679 --> 00:10:04.799
They told the truth, and we should have gotten on it sooner.
00:10:05.039 --> 00:10:07.360
But right now, you haven't done that.
00:10:07.519 --> 00:10:09.679
And you're not probably not gonna ever do that.
00:10:12.080 --> 00:10:33.600
You do not want to look like the bad guy on NASA TV, so you rewrite the script and say it a different way, and then you pull resources, another carrier from an important area over to the Middle East to replace Abraham Lincoln.
00:10:34.399 --> 00:10:37.440
Well, what do you have in place of that vessel?
00:10:40.879 --> 00:10:51.679
Are you sending any, maybe are you sending at least a couple of amphibious ships from the US over to replace them so you got some kind of firepower, some additional firepower?
00:10:52.799 --> 00:11:02.159
I'm sure the Russians, North Korean and Chinese know that you move that carrier out of its position to go do relief.
00:11:02.480 --> 00:11:06.559
So, you know, just do me a favor.
00:11:08.000 --> 00:11:14.879
There should be an a public a public apology issued to the sailors on the USA Abraham Lincoln.
00:11:16.480 --> 00:11:32.720
And I don't care what anyone says, that was a bad call, that was a dirty situation, that was a foul, unnecessary situation to say nationally or internationally.
00:11:33.039 --> 00:11:35.600
Everybody's talking about it, everybody knows about it.
00:11:38.080 --> 00:11:41.840
It's just really, I believe, has done a lot of harm.
00:11:43.440 --> 00:12:08.559
And if people are thinking about joining the military, particularly the Navy now, and even the Marine Corps who are deploying these ships, they start looking at what you've done and the way you treated them by your statements made, calling them liars, and oh, they just misspoke and trying to rescript the situation so it sounds right, it doesn't sound right.
00:12:08.799 --> 00:12:11.360
Those sailors do not lie, they did not lie.
00:12:11.600 --> 00:12:18.080
What reason would they have to tell an absolute lie on a deployment that many people?
00:12:18.879 --> 00:12:26.559
And sure, not everybody jumped over, but if just one person goes over that side, that's a bad situation.
00:12:26.720 --> 00:12:34.159
And if that one person went over that side because of the situation, one is more than enough.
00:12:34.720 --> 00:12:43.360
But for you to try to rescript it into a different, into different verbiage, that was poor decision making.
00:12:44.559 --> 00:12:54.639
So to our commander in chief, our secretary of war, and our leaders up there on Capitol Hill and in that White House, this administration, hey, get it together.
00:12:56.159 --> 00:13:02.000
We're in a war that looks to be never ending, that was supposed to be ended in four to six weeks.
00:13:02.639 --> 00:13:08.559
You put a carrier out there and you hung it out to dry far too long.
00:13:09.679 --> 00:13:19.919
And you try to restructure the verbiage so that the American people would be alright with it, but then families started making phone calls, as I said earlier.
00:13:20.240 --> 00:13:25.840
Family started going to the press, as I said earlier, and then you come out on TV.
00:13:26.879 --> 00:13:31.600
I guess you were pissed off, and then make the statement, well, they haven't been on deployment far long enough.
00:13:31.759 --> 00:13:33.600
Well, you've never been out there and you're not out there.
00:13:33.759 --> 00:13:36.240
You live comfortable back at home.
00:13:36.639 --> 00:13:37.840
All of us do.
00:13:38.080 --> 00:13:45.840
I mean, I had my time out there where I was uncomfortable, and I did my time, and I'm back home and I'm comfortable because of what our warriors do.
00:13:47.279 --> 00:13:56.480
So again, let's buckle down to that leadership up there in Washington, D.C.
00:13:56.799 --> 00:13:58.000
Let's get it together.
00:13:58.159 --> 00:14:06.080
Let's get the right people in the right places that know exactly what they're doing and quit hiring yes people to do everything you want them to do.
00:14:06.240 --> 00:14:07.759
I understand loyalty.
00:14:07.919 --> 00:14:09.120
I'm all for it.
00:14:09.360 --> 00:14:22.399
But when you're getting people who don't know the specifics of their job or what it entails, and you just put them in a position, you start getting people killed, you know, and we need to move away from that because that makes absolutely no sense.
00:14:22.559 --> 00:14:25.279
So I'm gonna close by saying thank you for your time.
00:14:25.440 --> 00:14:28.799
Thank you for tuning in, watching in, whatever you're doing.
00:14:29.039 --> 00:14:31.840
Hey, we're still a team.
00:14:32.159 --> 00:14:35.039
United States of America, still the greatest superpower.
00:14:35.440 --> 00:14:36.399
We lost some luster.
00:14:36.720 --> 00:14:37.759
You don't believe it?
00:14:38.000 --> 00:14:39.200
Watch the news.
00:14:39.519 --> 00:14:49.279
I'm not a big political guy, but I tell you what, it's been pretty embarrassing with some of the things that have taken place at this point of the case being called liars.
00:14:50.639 --> 00:14:52.639
So take care of yourself.
00:14:52.960 --> 00:14:53.840
Stay safe.
00:14:54.000 --> 00:14:57.919
Always remember the Clinton B.
