WEBVTT
00:01:25.920 --> 00:01:26.719
Should we spin?
00:01:26.879 --> 00:01:28.239
Spin it around, show yourself.
00:01:29.599 --> 00:01:30.400
Show yourself.
00:01:34.159 --> 00:01:35.599
Yeah, now give away.
00:01:38.079 --> 00:01:38.400
No.
00:01:47.040 --> 00:01:49.519
Imagine everybody inside can see this.
00:01:55.359 --> 00:01:56.799
It's your killer host.
00:01:57.040 --> 00:01:58.000
It's Caroline.
00:01:58.159 --> 00:02:01.120
I'm Parker, and Ian's behind the camera.
00:02:01.359 --> 00:02:05.200
And we are here at Horror Hound in Cincinnati.
00:02:05.519 --> 00:02:06.799
We are so excited.
00:02:06.879 --> 00:02:10.000
It is all three of our first ever conventions.
00:02:10.639 --> 00:02:16.000
I have not seen very much, but we just got here and there are some spooky characters running around.
00:02:16.159 --> 00:02:17.759
I cannot wait to see what's inside.
00:02:17.919 --> 00:02:23.840
Oh my gosh, we have seen uh an amazing Freddy Krueger and a Jason and a Frankenfurter.
00:02:23.919 --> 00:02:25.520
We are seeing costumes out the ass.
00:02:25.599 --> 00:02:26.319
It's amazing.
00:02:26.560 --> 00:02:28.639
Things I don't even know what they are.
00:02:28.800 --> 00:02:29.120
Exactly.
00:02:29.199 --> 00:02:31.759
And we got a little glimpse of the showroom floor.
00:02:31.919 --> 00:02:35.120
It looks bigger, more major than I could have anticipated.
00:02:35.199 --> 00:02:37.599
So we're really excited to get in there and shop, Caroline.
00:02:37.680 --> 00:02:40.719
What are you looking forward to shopping for today?
00:02:41.039 --> 00:02:45.919
Well, I really want a cute, maybe spooky crew neck, maybe some pins.
00:02:46.080 --> 00:02:46.400
I don't know.
00:02:46.479 --> 00:02:47.439
What are you looking for?
00:02:47.759 --> 00:02:49.120
I want anything cute.
00:02:49.280 --> 00:02:58.800
I want to open a box, display a bauble, I want some sort of memorabilia, memories for life being made today.
00:02:59.199 --> 00:03:01.759
Ian, what do you want from behind the camera?
00:03:02.400 --> 00:03:04.319
I want a really cool hat.
00:03:04.960 --> 00:03:06.319
He's looking for a hat.
00:03:06.560 --> 00:03:07.759
Alright, let's get in there.
00:03:07.840 --> 00:03:08.879
I can't wait to see everything.
00:03:09.120 --> 00:03:13.439
Like two seconds in, I already underestimated the merch that would be happening here.
00:03:13.680 --> 00:03:14.960
It is crazy in here.
00:03:15.039 --> 00:03:17.280
I'm getting ready to drop some bills.
00:03:17.439 --> 00:03:19.039
It's giving commerce.
00:03:19.599 --> 00:03:21.199
Batman is getting a tattoo.
00:03:21.439 --> 00:03:22.240
First tattoo.
00:03:22.800 --> 00:03:23.280
Stay tuned.
00:03:23.520 --> 00:03:24.639
Pumpkin we saw.
00:03:24.879 --> 00:03:26.639
Ew, no, that's a little different.
00:03:26.879 --> 00:03:28.000
It's cute.
00:03:28.479 --> 00:03:29.599
$165.
00:03:31.759 --> 00:03:35.680
We are looking at some sickening three-dimensional posters.
00:03:35.840 --> 00:03:39.840
These are like little film things with posters.
00:03:41.199 --> 00:03:41.919
Oh, cool.
00:03:42.159 --> 00:03:44.000
As if I wasn't sold already.
00:03:46.240 --> 00:03:46.960
I love that.
00:03:47.120 --> 00:03:48.319
Just enough to be spooky.
00:03:49.199 --> 00:03:50.800
Oh, it's the whole booth.
00:03:51.280 --> 00:03:52.319
Oh, cool.
00:03:52.639 --> 00:03:53.840
Comic book scoops.
00:03:54.080 --> 00:03:55.280
Gremlins! Can we go in?
00:03:56.080 --> 00:03:56.159
Alright.
00:03:57.439 --> 00:03:58.560
I love Gremlins.
00:03:59.520 --> 00:04:00.479
My favorite Christmas movie.
00:04:02.240 --> 00:04:02.400
Yeah.
00:04:02.639 --> 00:04:03.919
Yes, that is so cute.
00:04:04.080 --> 00:04:06.719
I love the trick-or-treat is really cute.
00:04:07.360 --> 00:04:08.319
Caroline, what are you buying?
00:04:08.800 --> 00:04:10.159
Halloween one over here, too.
00:04:10.719 --> 00:04:12.319
Cat, the pet cemetery cat.
00:04:13.520 --> 00:04:13.919
Church.
00:04:14.319 --> 00:04:14.560
Yes.
00:04:15.280 --> 00:04:16.240
Oh yes, church.
00:04:16.959 --> 00:04:17.839
Church the cat.
00:04:18.240 --> 00:04:18.879
So cute.
00:04:19.439 --> 00:04:25.199
Paint these really cool, like vintage pendants that are horror themed.
00:04:25.680 --> 00:04:27.759
Oh, look, there's a Rocky Horror one.
00:04:28.480 --> 00:04:29.040
Yes.
00:04:29.279 --> 00:04:30.480
Don't dream it be.
00:04:30.560 --> 00:04:32.079
It used to be my Instagram bio.
00:04:32.399 --> 00:04:37.439
But there's one over here that I love that looks like a regular like situation.
00:04:37.600 --> 00:04:38.160
It's very cute.
00:04:38.399 --> 00:04:39.680
There's a one-wish willow one.
00:04:39.920 --> 00:04:41.839
I think we are going to get these three.
00:04:44.399 --> 00:04:45.199
Oh, wait, wait.
00:04:45.839 --> 00:04:50.800
We have spotted the clips I'm wearing right now on the show floor.
00:04:51.040 --> 00:04:52.240
We must get more.
00:04:56.319 --> 00:04:58.079
There's a final girl clip.
00:04:58.639 --> 00:04:59.920
Anne's hair's getting long.
00:05:00.079 --> 00:05:00.720
He needs some.
00:05:00.879 --> 00:05:01.199
I know.
00:05:01.439 --> 00:05:02.560
These are all for Ian.
00:05:02.639 --> 00:05:03.439
He needs to get glam.
00:05:04.480 --> 00:05:05.120
Nice.
00:05:05.759 --> 00:05:08.560
Caroline, I'm thinking the lightning bolts.
00:05:09.040 --> 00:05:10.000
They glow in the dark.
00:05:10.879 --> 00:05:11.519
Whoa!
00:05:12.000 --> 00:05:14.000
These glow in the dark.
00:05:15.040 --> 00:05:16.319
The eyeballs.
00:05:16.800 --> 00:05:17.199
Sweet.
00:05:17.360 --> 00:05:17.600
Cute.
00:05:17.839 --> 00:05:18.319
Oh, that's cool.
00:05:18.639 --> 00:05:20.000
Actual little bows.
00:05:22.079 --> 00:05:25.199
Or the earring wall over here.
00:05:25.360 --> 00:05:25.920
E.T.
00:05:27.519 --> 00:05:28.959
These are so cute.
00:05:29.920 --> 00:05:31.199
I am unwell.
00:05:31.439 --> 00:05:33.680
Gladys is the star of the convention.
00:05:33.920 --> 00:05:37.519
Imagine having two little Gladys on the side of your head.
00:05:38.480 --> 00:05:40.639
I had some already in today.
00:05:42.399 --> 00:05:42.959
Uh yeah.
00:05:43.839 --> 00:05:44.560
Perfect.
00:05:45.680 --> 00:05:47.199
You're a wizard, Harry.
00:05:50.000 --> 00:05:50.959
Five dollars.
00:05:51.199 --> 00:05:52.879
You have to buy this, Parker.
00:05:53.040 --> 00:05:54.879
They're paying us for these bows.
00:05:55.120 --> 00:05:56.079
Red alert.
00:05:56.160 --> 00:05:57.360
We are hitting bows.
00:05:57.600 --> 00:05:58.879
More things for the hair.
00:05:59.120 --> 00:06:01.600
Oh, well, it'd have to be this because these are my lovers.
00:06:02.079 --> 00:06:02.959
Bad boys.
00:06:03.360 --> 00:06:06.399
I think I'll have to do maybe the Billy and stew though.
00:06:08.480 --> 00:06:09.839
Gonna have to get.
00:06:11.839 --> 00:06:13.600
Oh, there's just a plain ghost face.
00:06:13.680 --> 00:06:14.399
That's cute.
00:06:14.639 --> 00:06:19.199
No, I think I'm gonna have to get Casey.
00:06:19.759 --> 00:06:21.439
Yeah, that's cute.
00:06:21.759 --> 00:06:23.360
Or Nev.
00:06:23.600 --> 00:06:24.240
Yeah.
00:06:24.959 --> 00:06:26.079
The Elvira.
00:06:26.399 --> 00:06:27.759
She's a little more pricey.
00:06:27.920 --> 00:06:28.480
High qual.
00:06:29.040 --> 00:06:31.519
Okay, not horror, but like incredible.
00:06:32.800 --> 00:06:33.360
Hey.
00:06:34.319 --> 00:06:35.600
Pedro Pascal.
00:06:37.199 --> 00:06:40.560
Okay, if we spend$35, we get a gift.
00:06:40.800 --> 00:06:42.000
Are you kidding me?
00:06:42.800 --> 00:06:43.680
Hilarious.
00:06:44.240 --> 00:06:45.519
Okay, red alert.
00:06:45.839 --> 00:06:48.079
We are doing a live reclipping.
00:06:48.240 --> 00:06:51.279
These gorge, but I need something a little fresh.
00:06:51.600 --> 00:06:53.839
Okay, Caroline, do the honors.
00:07:01.519 --> 00:07:02.079
Cute!
00:07:02.800 --> 00:07:03.839
Oh my god, how does it look?
00:07:04.000 --> 00:07:04.800
It looks so good.
00:07:05.759 --> 00:07:08.639
We are checking out some atomic cotton t-shirts.
00:07:08.720 --> 00:07:09.600
They look very cute.
00:07:09.680 --> 00:07:12.240
I'm seeing a lot of scream representation.
00:07:12.720 --> 00:07:13.680
What is this?
00:07:13.920 --> 00:07:15.279
16 candles.
00:07:15.519 --> 00:07:15.839
Oh.
00:07:17.839 --> 00:07:20.800
You know, not enough people make scream merchandise.
00:07:21.360 --> 00:07:22.160
We really need more.
00:07:22.639 --> 00:07:25.279
This one was up on the That is so cute.
00:07:25.519 --> 00:07:28.079
It's a scream on the corn.
00:07:34.639 --> 00:07:36.959
Okay, so tell us about Dent School House.
00:07:37.120 --> 00:07:39.920
So the Dent School House is celebrating its 30th year this year.
00:07:40.000 --> 00:07:41.439
We're on the west side of Cincinnati.
00:07:41.519 --> 00:07:45.199
It's about 25 minutes away from where we're standing at Whore Hound.
00:07:45.759 --> 00:07:49.680
New characters, new areas, everything is super exciting this year.
00:07:50.079 --> 00:07:53.600
It's opening weekend for us, so we're open Saturday, so we're open tonight.
00:07:54.399 --> 00:07:55.600
But yeah, come by and see us.
00:07:55.759 --> 00:07:59.759
You can check us out online for tickets, or you can just come on up.
00:07:59.839 --> 00:08:01.360
We're 7:30 to 11 tonight.
00:08:01.519 --> 00:08:04.720
I'm assuming you've gone through it multiple times.
00:08:05.920 --> 00:08:07.279
Does it still scare you?
00:08:07.519 --> 00:08:09.600
Well, they try to change it up as much as they can every year.
00:08:09.759 --> 00:08:12.879
They added a new greenhouse area this year, which is really cool.
00:08:13.120 --> 00:08:15.759
And they redid, they call it the Monster Midway.
00:08:15.920 --> 00:08:19.040
It's back behind the house, so it's like after the house, it's tough to do.
00:08:19.120 --> 00:08:22.800
Like there's games, escape rooms, uh, they've got gourmet donuts.
00:08:23.120 --> 00:08:23.279
Okay.
00:08:23.519 --> 00:08:25.360
So yeah, it's it's a good time.
00:08:26.000 --> 00:08:27.680
Alright, Dent Schoolhouse.
00:08:27.839 --> 00:08:28.639
Check it out.
00:08:28.879 --> 00:08:31.920
Alright, we are here with Justin from Horror Hound.
00:08:32.080 --> 00:08:34.320
Justin, tell us a little bit about Horror Hound.
00:08:34.399 --> 00:08:36.559
You guys just celebrated your 20th anniversary.
00:08:36.799 --> 00:08:37.279
Yes, we did.
00:08:37.360 --> 00:08:38.480
So hi, I'm Justin.
00:08:38.559 --> 00:08:42.879
Uh I'm operations director for Horror Hound and Horrorhound Film Festival.
00:08:43.039 --> 00:08:45.120
Uh yeah, we've been doing this for 20 years.
00:08:45.360 --> 00:08:49.279
A lot of the people that help make this run are volunteers.
00:08:49.519 --> 00:08:51.120
They're the fans themselves.
00:08:51.360 --> 00:08:59.120
They put a lot of time and effort to make everything run smoothly, uh, and it's a we become a very tight-knit family.
00:08:59.279 --> 00:09:10.960
We help the filmmakers that come and show their films here network with other film filmmakers, cosplayers, because they put a lot of time and effort in their costumes.
00:09:11.200 --> 00:09:13.759
You might need that person to do costumes for your film.
00:09:14.000 --> 00:09:22.799
This is one of the only places that if you're that unique kid that grew up liking something that not necessarily everybody liked, you find your tribe here.
00:09:23.519 --> 00:09:30.000
And even if you're not volunteering, the volunteers of the past still come here to hang out.
00:09:30.080 --> 00:09:33.039
It's become like the family reunion every six months.
00:09:33.279 --> 00:09:36.159
I definitely feel like a good family community here.
00:09:36.399 --> 00:09:44.240
If you were gonna give a recommendation for someone who is at Horror Hound for the first time, us, what would be your recommendation?
00:09:44.480 --> 00:09:46.320
Well, first I would say, what are you into?
00:09:46.480 --> 00:09:48.399
There is different aspects of horror.
00:09:48.559 --> 00:09:51.039
Some people like the special effects.
00:09:51.120 --> 00:09:53.039
Well, you're here during Mask Fest.
00:09:53.200 --> 00:09:53.279
Yeah.
00:09:53.519 --> 00:09:56.000
And Mask Fest, currently, we're on the upper floor.
00:09:56.240 --> 00:09:59.840
Maskfest is what we call, it's in the basement or the underground.
00:10:00.159 --> 00:10:11.039
Down there, you can bump elbows with the professionals that made movie magic come to life like Tom Savini.
00:10:11.600 --> 00:10:15.679
Uh, Tom is down there, he's very approachable, he loves his fans.
00:10:15.840 --> 00:10:18.159
Um, Robert Kurtzman's down there.
00:10:18.399 --> 00:10:25.360
I was the kid that before there was this the special features, I wanted to find something about how the movie was made.
00:10:25.519 --> 00:10:31.759
These gentlemen used to come on like late-night talk shows and show how the movie magic was done.
00:10:31.840 --> 00:10:35.360
They were on Nickelodeon back in the day, having those shows.
00:10:35.519 --> 00:10:37.840
And you get a chance to go down there and meet these people.
00:10:38.000 --> 00:10:41.519
You like your uh the actors' aspect.
00:10:41.679 --> 00:10:48.240
There's uh a room up the way, and back there in the vendor hall, there's a section to walk up and meet those actors.
00:10:48.559 --> 00:10:52.879
The film aspect, the actors, just the people that are passionate about it too.
00:10:52.960 --> 00:10:55.120
So it's definitely a great group here.
00:10:55.360 --> 00:10:56.639
Check out Horror Hound.
00:10:56.720 --> 00:10:57.679
Thank you so much, Justin.
00:10:57.759 --> 00:10:58.320
This was great.
00:10:58.559 --> 00:11:02.559
Alright, I'm here with our new besties, Nick and Lin's Love Horror.
00:11:02.799 --> 00:11:04.000
Introduce yourselves.
00:11:04.240 --> 00:11:07.919
So I'm Linz, and this is Nick, and we're Nick and Lynn's Love Horror.
00:11:08.000 --> 00:11:13.759
We do horror content online and then local spooky stuff in Cincinnati as well.
00:11:14.080 --> 00:11:17.519
Yes, we are here with the Cincinnati horror experts, I feel like.
00:11:18.480 --> 00:11:23.440
And you guys, I've gotta know what's your favorite scary movie.
00:11:23.759 --> 00:11:24.799
You wanna take it first?
00:11:25.039 --> 00:11:26.000
So I have two.
00:11:26.159 --> 00:11:33.120
I have to say scream because it's so good, but also repo the genetic opera is my favorite.
00:11:33.519 --> 00:11:33.919
Yes.
00:11:34.240 --> 00:11:35.679
And then mine is Evil Dead.
00:11:35.759 --> 00:11:37.519
I don't think it gets much better than Evil Dead.
00:11:37.600 --> 00:11:41.840
You have Bruce Campbell, you have all the blood in the world, just the ultimate can't be fun time.
00:11:42.159 --> 00:11:44.399
What's your hot take on the new Evil Dead movie?
00:11:44.480 --> 00:11:46.000
Are they live are they living up?
00:11:46.240 --> 00:11:49.360
No, unfortunately, they get a little worse to me each time.
00:11:49.440 --> 00:11:54.480
I still had an okay enough time with Burn, but I hope they take it in a little different direction with Renat.
00:11:54.720 --> 00:11:55.519
And I hated it.
00:11:55.759 --> 00:11:57.600
Yeah, she did not like it one bit.
00:11:58.799 --> 00:12:01.679
Oh, the Mask Fest is downstairs.
00:12:02.399 --> 00:12:04.240
Alright, we've gone downstairs.
00:12:04.480 --> 00:12:06.159
We thought we were at Horror Hound.
00:12:06.240 --> 00:12:09.279
We are actually now at Mask Fest.
00:12:09.919 --> 00:12:14.240
And this apparently is a very cool part of the show.
00:12:14.480 --> 00:12:20.879
I can't say that I have a lot of experience with masks, so I'm ready to don my new passion.
00:12:21.200 --> 00:12:22.399
We're gonna get educated.
00:12:22.639 --> 00:12:23.200
Yes.
00:12:23.440 --> 00:12:24.399
Let's go.
00:12:26.080 --> 00:12:27.840
We are seeing masks.
00:12:29.120 --> 00:12:30.240
Oh my god.
00:12:33.519 --> 00:12:34.320
What's your name?
00:12:34.639 --> 00:12:35.840
Uh Dennis Preston.
00:12:36.080 --> 00:12:40.480
Okay, and you were saying that this gal is your favorite new creation.
00:12:40.720 --> 00:12:48.799
Uh yeah, I mean, she's she's about two years old, but you know, as far as everything here, she's my favorite, but you also can't forget about the man that time forgot.
00:12:48.960 --> 00:12:52.399
I didn't forget about him, but time didn't forget.
00:12:53.360 --> 00:12:54.639
Functional time piece.
00:12:54.799 --> 00:12:55.279
I'm loving.
00:12:55.519 --> 00:12:59.279
What is your like, how do you come up with the concept for your monsters?
00:12:59.519 --> 00:13:01.200
It really just depends on what I'm doing.
00:13:01.279 --> 00:13:07.360
I mean, I'm I I work in the film industry mainly, so creating prosthetics, you know, creature suits, blood rigs, you know, all that kind of stuff.
00:13:07.440 --> 00:13:09.519
So this is really just kind of a side thing for me.
00:13:09.679 --> 00:13:09.840
Yeah.
00:13:10.080 --> 00:13:14.480
Uh I mean, these two particularly were for a film themselves, so I didn't design them overall.
00:13:14.639 --> 00:13:19.039
I had a part in them, but uh I redesigned the paint job just to sell.
00:13:19.360 --> 00:13:22.559
But uh it really just depends on what comes in my head and what my hands do.
00:13:22.799 --> 00:13:31.759
Sometimes, you know, a zombie comes out, uh, like this was originally going to be a uh like a vampire, but then it turned into a werewolf bat thing.
00:13:31.919 --> 00:13:32.080
Yeah.
00:13:32.240 --> 00:13:34.000
So, you know, you never know what's only happening.
00:13:34.159 --> 00:13:41.840
I kind of like enjoy working and uh you know letting you know the freedom of the craziness of the human mind just run wild.
00:13:42.159 --> 00:13:45.120
That is so cool, and I'm loving all of your women.
00:13:45.519 --> 00:13:50.639
I've been thinking that horror movies recently have been getting a little bit away from the nudity.
00:13:50.720 --> 00:13:51.440
I need it back.
00:13:51.679 --> 00:13:54.879
Well, it there there's ebbs and you know, there's flows to it, you know.
00:13:54.960 --> 00:14:09.039
There's but if you watch anything on HBO, you know, you get you know, Game of Thrones hit it back hard and then it slowed down again, and then there's that one scene where you see a full-on, you know, uh thing happening in the background of House of the Dragon.
00:14:09.200 --> 00:14:14.639
And so there's there's flows to it, and it really just depends on who's making it, how old they are, things like that.
00:14:14.720 --> 00:14:19.519
But nudity is just nudity as long as you respect it, depending on what you're using it for.
00:14:19.600 --> 00:14:20.559
So these are gorgeous.
00:14:20.639 --> 00:14:22.399
And what movie can we see these two in?
00:14:22.720 --> 00:14:26.720
These two uh you can find in a film that was recently released called Demon Hunter 2.
00:14:26.879 --> 00:14:30.720
Zoe Kavanaugh is an Irish filmmaker from Ireland, of course.
00:14:30.879 --> 00:14:39.759
Uh came down here to Kentucky several years ago to create the film, and uh it is now available on streaming, I believe, through Amazon and stuff like that.
00:14:39.919 --> 00:14:42.799
So these were designs for some of her CGI creatures.
00:14:42.960 --> 00:14:49.440
So we had the actors in green screen suits wear these over their heads and then she scanned them and then turned them into a 3D design.
00:14:49.679 --> 00:14:50.080
Amazing.
00:14:50.240 --> 00:14:51.519
Well, we're gonna check it out.
00:14:51.759 --> 00:14:52.799
Oh, it definitely should.
00:14:52.879 --> 00:14:53.679
It's a fun time.
00:14:53.919 --> 00:14:55.200
Awesome, thank you so much.
00:14:55.440 --> 00:14:56.639
Thank you guys.
00:15:11.919 --> 00:15:14.720
Oh, I love these guys.
00:15:14.879 --> 00:15:15.840
Look at them.
00:15:16.960 --> 00:15:18.320
Get a little tissue.
00:15:19.200 --> 00:15:20.399
They look wet.
00:15:20.720 --> 00:15:21.519
Don't touch.
00:15:22.879 --> 00:15:23.279
Look at this.
00:15:23.360 --> 00:15:24.320
Ooh, look at that blood.
00:15:25.519 --> 00:15:26.799
Oh, I love that.
00:15:28.960 --> 00:15:30.159
I love the glass.
00:15:31.519 --> 00:15:32.879
It says they're wearable.
00:15:33.519 --> 00:15:35.039
Do you think they can go on your shoulders?
00:15:35.279 --> 00:15:35.679
Yeah.
00:15:36.080 --> 00:15:39.600
Wait, they're lightweight and uh flexible, durable.
00:15:39.840 --> 00:15:41.840
And they have a clip on the inside.
00:15:42.159 --> 00:15:50.159
So you just take whatever you want to stick it to, like your shirt or whatever you're displaying it on, pinch it, find a little spot, and it just hangs out on there.
00:15:50.480 --> 00:15:53.759
It's not going anywhere.
00:15:53.919 --> 00:15:56.960
He's got little rubber grips on the clips so that they really hold.
00:15:57.279 --> 00:16:01.039
And then you pick whatever color you like and which eyes you'd like to go with it.
00:16:01.279 --> 00:16:04.480
And then so it's a little customizable to whatever you're feeling.
00:16:05.600 --> 00:16:10.879
Yeah, he does different color ranges, he'll do custom stuff with the tails and things like that online.
00:16:11.440 --> 00:16:14.879
Um I think the orange one is a new color he brought out this year.
00:16:15.360 --> 00:16:16.080
So yeah.
00:16:16.879 --> 00:16:17.679
Can I try one on?
00:16:17.840 --> 00:16:18.159
Absolutely.
00:16:18.240 --> 00:16:18.639
Yeah, we can.
00:16:24.080 --> 00:16:24.639
Yeah, yeah.
00:16:30.559 --> 00:16:31.279
Oh my gosh.
00:16:31.360 --> 00:16:32.080
How does it feel?
00:16:32.240 --> 00:16:33.360
It's so cute!
00:16:35.519 --> 00:16:37.120
They're so light, you kind of forget it's even like.
00:16:37.279 --> 00:16:38.639
I know, I can dance out of the world.
00:16:38.879 --> 00:16:39.840
Give us your best move.
00:16:40.159 --> 00:16:42.960
That's actually how it's everything I just said is a little bit.
00:16:44.559 --> 00:16:45.759
Oh, these are the things.
00:16:46.000 --> 00:16:47.200
Yeah, those are cute.
00:16:48.240 --> 00:16:49.200
Me, my best friend.
00:16:55.759 --> 00:16:57.600
Red hot pussy lickers.
00:17:07.200 --> 00:17:07.680
Cute.
00:17:08.480 --> 00:17:09.200
Those are fun.
00:17:09.519 --> 00:17:10.240
Did you make these?
00:17:10.400 --> 00:17:10.640
I do.
00:17:11.039 --> 00:17:11.680
These are so cute.
00:17:13.680 --> 00:17:14.880
You do the artwork too.
00:17:15.119 --> 00:17:16.319
These are so cool.
00:17:21.920 --> 00:17:23.039
Um, card.
00:17:23.839 --> 00:17:25.039
I know, I've actually been a lot more.
00:17:33.440 --> 00:17:37.599
We could get the faculty, classic, classic 90s.
00:17:39.279 --> 00:17:39.839
Ooh.
00:17:40.400 --> 00:17:42.880
We got a little Scooby-Doo action.
00:17:43.359 --> 00:17:46.240
Oh my gosh, Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders.
00:17:46.480 --> 00:17:48.720
I fucked that up when I was a kid.
00:17:48.960 --> 00:17:52.319
Ooh! A little chocolate knife.
00:17:52.640 --> 00:17:53.359
Oh cute.
00:17:53.839 --> 00:17:54.799
Little characters.
00:17:55.680 --> 00:17:56.559
Ghost face.
00:17:57.599 --> 00:17:58.240
Michael.
00:17:58.559 --> 00:17:59.119
Look at these.
00:17:59.599 --> 00:18:03.039
Little tombstone crunch, our little midday pick me up.
00:18:03.519 --> 00:18:06.880
Ian's choice on the dark chocolate, because he's got a dark heart.
00:18:07.119 --> 00:18:07.599
Spider.
00:18:08.079 --> 00:18:09.359
This one's cute.
00:18:14.160 --> 00:18:15.839
What if I just put the whole thing on now?
00:18:16.000 --> 00:18:19.359
That one's thick'ums.
00:18:20.720 --> 00:18:21.839
This is ASMR.
00:18:25.279 --> 00:18:26.000
Do it.
00:18:30.079 --> 00:18:32.240
These are so soft.
00:18:32.480 --> 00:18:34.720
The little Cecilia action.
00:18:37.039 --> 00:18:38.160
They have other shorts.
00:18:38.799 --> 00:18:45.920
So my name's Lenora, writer and creator and host of Midnight Rental, which is a late night style horror-hosted show.
00:18:46.880 --> 00:18:48.079
It takes place in a video store.
00:18:48.160 --> 00:18:49.119
You can find it on YouTube.
00:18:50.160 --> 00:18:52.000
And this is a star.
00:18:52.319 --> 00:18:54.000
She was in the movie Buddy.
00:18:55.039 --> 00:18:56.400
But unfortunately.
00:18:56.880 --> 00:19:00.640
Unfortunately, my scene got cut, which is fine.
00:19:00.880 --> 00:19:18.480
But it was filmed in Cleveland at TRG Multimedia, and Substance is one of the executive producers, and Jeff Yaw wrote this really clever fake sitcom that Kristen Miliati's character would be like flipping through the channels while she's trying to sleep.
00:19:18.640 --> 00:19:26.559
And it was gonna show on uh the TV screen, and the fake sitcom was called Daddy's Home.
00:19:26.880 --> 00:19:39.200
And because kids are disappearing, my character, I was the mom, I kept saying, like, kids, come downstairs, daddy's home, because my on-screen husband comes home, but the kids are nowhere to be found.
00:19:39.359 --> 00:19:44.000
So I technically my voice made it in the movie, so it still counts.
00:19:44.079 --> 00:19:45.200
I'm in buddy, yeah.
00:19:45.519 --> 00:19:49.359
So cool! Oh wait, what was your line that's that stayed in?
00:19:49.759 --> 00:19:51.279
Uh Daddy's home.
00:19:51.599 --> 00:19:55.839
You hear you do wind up hearing it on the on the TV when she's like uh laying in front of the TV.
00:19:55.920 --> 00:19:56.079
Yeah.
00:19:56.160 --> 00:19:56.240
Wow.
00:19:56.480 --> 00:19:59.920
So we all loved that movie, so so good, so good.
00:20:00.640 --> 00:20:03.359
Okay, so our podcast is called What's Your Favorite Scary Movie?
00:20:03.680 --> 00:20:06.480
So we have to ask, what is your favorite scary movie?
00:20:06.640 --> 00:20:08.079
Oh, that is so hard.
00:20:08.160 --> 00:20:13.599
That's like picking a favorite child, and I don't have children, um, thankfully, for everyone involved.
00:20:13.839 --> 00:20:26.720
Uh, but my favorite scary movie, I think I'm always going to have to default to Halloween because that was a film that I saw at a young age.
00:20:26.799 --> 00:20:38.400
I didn't sleep for about six months after I saw it, and it is essentially a bloodless film that I think is every bit as effective today as it was back then.
00:20:38.559 --> 00:20:42.799
I put it on every Halloween when I hand out candy, and it's it still scares me.
00:20:43.359 --> 00:20:48.960
I feel like that's the like first impression like that stays with you as a as a horror fanatic.
00:20:49.119 --> 00:20:51.200
So very cool, we'll check you out.
00:20:54.240 --> 00:20:59.680
And can I also get this other goo the green goolade in a medium as well?
00:21:27.519 --> 00:21:28.960
Go ahead and introduce yourself.
00:21:29.440 --> 00:21:33.119
I am Tyler Blake, also known as Final Boy Tyler.
00:21:33.279 --> 00:21:38.559
I do horror content creation, all things spooky, movies, and spooky lifestyle.
00:21:38.640 --> 00:21:39.039
That's me.
00:21:39.359 --> 00:21:39.599
Nice.
00:21:39.680 --> 00:21:43.440
Well, I have my final girl earrings on, so we're mad, Shane.
00:21:43.920 --> 00:21:47.680
And we have to ask what's your favorite scary movie, Tyler?
00:21:48.079 --> 00:21:52.240
My all time favorite scary movie is the OG Psycho.
00:21:52.400 --> 00:21:57.519
I watched that when I was a really little kid, and I think it just did something to my brain chemistry.
00:21:57.680 --> 00:21:58.319
It's my favorite.
00:21:58.640 --> 00:21:59.599
You know, I feel like a lot of people.
00:22:00.240 --> 00:22:04.480
We ask it's always like their very first experience with horror and they just latch on.
00:22:04.880 --> 00:22:08.240
Look out for some upcoming collabs that I have in the Cincinnati area.
00:22:08.400 --> 00:22:12.960
I got some deals with some shops happening, so yeah, stay tuned.
00:22:13.759 --> 00:22:14.640
Thanks, Tyler.
00:22:19.759 --> 00:22:27.680
Right, we are post-horror hound, and we have to show you our haul because we got so much good stuff.
00:22:28.240 --> 00:22:36.880
Um, I had a max budget of a hundred bucks, and I spent only about double that.
00:22:38.799 --> 00:22:39.039
No.
00:22:39.599 --> 00:22:40.799
We're gonna tally it all up.
00:22:40.880 --> 00:22:44.720
So, Parker, you're gonna start us off and finish us off because you have more merch.
00:22:44.799 --> 00:22:47.920
So, show us show us your most memorable merch.
00:22:48.160 --> 00:22:51.440
Okay, so you saw live in the episode my reclipping.
00:22:51.519 --> 00:22:55.200
I got this Elvira bow, which was gorgeous and beautiful.
00:22:55.440 --> 00:23:02.640
This sweet little scream Casey bow, which I will also be rocking.
00:23:02.799 --> 00:23:10.400
Um, unfortunately, I don't remember the vendor that we got this from, and um, you know, peace and blessings to them.
00:23:10.480 --> 00:23:11.680
I bet they're fabulous.
00:23:11.839 --> 00:23:14.960
So I cannot point you to their shop, but very cute.
00:23:15.200 --> 00:23:19.519
Alright, we also got I'm on the mic now.
00:23:19.839 --> 00:23:22.240
Some very cute little banners.
00:23:22.400 --> 00:23:23.680
I will show you one by one.
00:23:24.000 --> 00:23:26.640
This is one of our first grabs, it really grabbed us.
00:23:27.279 --> 00:23:28.480
Widow's Bay.
00:23:28.880 --> 00:23:36.880
We got a little midsummer, and my favorite thing about this is it says stay till you're 72.
00:23:37.279 --> 00:23:40.319
And we had to get a little scream representation.
00:23:40.480 --> 00:23:43.759
Um, so we got the greetings from Woodsboro, which is so cute.
00:23:43.839 --> 00:23:45.839
It's gonna look so cute in my office.
00:23:46.079 --> 00:23:46.720
Yay!
00:23:47.200 --> 00:23:48.400
I love those pendant.
00:23:48.640 --> 00:23:55.440
I'm a hat boy, and I successfully acquired a shining hat.
00:23:55.599 --> 00:23:56.319
I love it.
00:23:56.559 --> 00:23:58.559
Look at it, I think it's amazing.
00:23:58.960 --> 00:24:06.319
It's from Paul Bearer Press, where I also got a couple pairs of shorts.
00:24:06.480 --> 00:24:10.240
I got for myself the evil bows.
00:24:10.960 --> 00:24:11.519
Oh my land.
00:24:15.119 --> 00:24:16.960
I got the Sespiria shorts.
00:24:17.119 --> 00:24:17.920
How cute.
00:24:18.160 --> 00:24:19.359
Fun, fun, fun.
00:24:19.599 --> 00:24:20.160
What else?
00:24:20.319 --> 00:24:21.359
What else do we got going?
00:24:21.680 --> 00:24:25.200
There's a there's a lot of for the set.
00:24:25.279 --> 00:24:27.039
We had to get a little Gladys.
00:24:27.359 --> 00:24:31.200
Gladys, you heard me say it a few times during the walkthrough.
00:24:31.359 --> 00:24:32.480
She was the star of the show.
00:24:32.640 --> 00:24:34.559
Gladys is abundant.
00:24:35.680 --> 00:24:39.359
I can make your parents hurt themselves.
00:24:39.440 --> 00:24:41.200
I can make them hurt each other.
00:24:41.440 --> 00:24:44.400
I can make them eat each other if I want to.
00:24:44.640 --> 00:24:46.319
Do I want to, Alex?
00:24:46.559 --> 00:24:47.599
It says so in the back.
00:24:47.839 --> 00:24:48.880
A beautiful line reading.
00:24:48.960 --> 00:25:00.400
This is from The Cuddle Colt, uh, designed by Ashley Ross, who was really sweet at the um booth, at her booth.
00:25:00.559 --> 00:25:04.960
She designed the um illustration and made it.
00:25:05.119 --> 00:25:05.200
Yeah.
00:25:05.359 --> 00:25:05.759
The doll.
00:25:06.079 --> 00:25:06.240
Yeah.
00:25:06.400 --> 00:25:08.079
Really talented stuff there.
00:25:08.319 --> 00:25:10.640
I'm also sporting some new earrings.
00:25:10.720 --> 00:25:12.960
They are my final girl earrings.
00:25:13.200 --> 00:25:19.759
Uh, this uh vendor is one that is known to the scary movie pod fam already.
00:25:20.000 --> 00:25:26.240
Yes, because I was wearing some clips and then we got some cute little eyeball clips that we can use.
00:25:26.480 --> 00:25:27.920
Caroline and I might scare.
00:25:28.160 --> 00:25:28.559
Split that.
00:25:28.799 --> 00:25:29.839
Scare, share.
00:25:30.079 --> 00:25:31.759
Share, scare and share.
00:25:32.880 --> 00:25:35.440
I also love a beautiful print.
00:25:35.519 --> 00:25:36.640
I love a little art.
00:25:37.039 --> 00:25:44.240
So get a gander at this witch on her bike, her motorbike.
00:25:46.400 --> 00:25:49.279
He he saw it and it was like three seconds.
00:25:49.440 --> 00:25:50.960
He was like, When you know, you know.
00:25:51.119 --> 00:25:51.680
It calls.
00:25:52.079 --> 00:25:52.640
I picked it up.
00:25:52.720 --> 00:25:54.000
I said, How much is this?
00:25:54.160 --> 00:25:55.599
He said, I think 25 bucks.
00:25:55.839 --> 00:25:57.200
I said, I'm it.
00:25:57.759 --> 00:25:59.839
And this is from the uh artist.
00:26:00.640 --> 00:26:02.960
That was before he overshot his budget, though.
00:26:03.279 --> 00:26:07.519
Matthew Lineham, you spoke to me.
00:26:07.839 --> 00:26:11.680
Are now going to be in my home because this is adorable.
00:26:12.000 --> 00:26:12.319
More.
00:26:12.640 --> 00:26:13.279
My shirts.
00:26:13.599 --> 00:26:14.480
I think this is the end.
00:26:14.799 --> 00:26:15.680
Oh, there's more.
00:26:16.640 --> 00:26:20.960
Okay, to close out the haul from Beast Wreck.
00:26:21.440 --> 00:26:24.000
We have two adorable shirts.
00:26:24.319 --> 00:26:25.440
I want to feel that.
00:26:25.839 --> 00:26:26.319
Look at this.
00:26:26.559 --> 00:26:29.200
Ooh, those are those are discharged.
00:26:29.519 --> 00:26:30.880
Those are discharged.
00:26:31.279 --> 00:26:49.440
It's a way of um it's a way of screen printing that makes it not like chunky and we have the super cute goul-aid with this little menace here, and then we have a second goula-id with this more kind of uh Cthulhu-esque creature.
00:26:49.920 --> 00:26:52.079
So that's the haul.
00:26:52.160 --> 00:26:55.359
What did you guys think of our first convention experience?
00:26:55.599 --> 00:26:58.799
It was first of all, the people are so lovely.
00:26:59.039 --> 00:26:59.359
Yes.
00:26:59.519 --> 00:27:04.880
I feel like everyone was very welcoming and excited to be here, very enthusiastic.
00:27:05.200 --> 00:27:12.480
Cosplaying, costumes, incredible, uh, vendors, really cool art going on.
00:27:12.799 --> 00:27:19.279
I have to say the AC in there was bussing because as you can see, as we've done this haul, I have been developing some stains.
00:27:19.680 --> 00:27:21.839
Um, because it's hot out here, y'all.
00:27:22.079 --> 00:27:26.000
Um, I agree, I was honestly a little bit stressed.
00:27:26.160 --> 00:27:28.880
Um, you know, new environment.
00:27:29.200 --> 00:27:34.720
I love people who love horror, but not all of those people love me and are mean.
00:27:35.039 --> 00:27:37.839
But everybody was so nice at this convention.
00:27:38.079 --> 00:27:39.920
I just always have my guards up, you know.
00:27:40.559 --> 00:27:44.799
And I think we had a lovely, there were so many people who just came up to say hi to us.
00:27:45.119 --> 00:27:50.000
So many of the vendors who just wanted to chit-chat about their stuff who were hilarious.
00:27:50.079 --> 00:27:52.319
I'm sure you saw a few throughout the video.
00:27:52.559 --> 00:27:58.079
And people were just naturally supportive of what we were doing and curious, which was uh really exciting to see.
00:27:58.160 --> 00:27:59.759
So yeah, exactly.
00:27:59.839 --> 00:28:01.680
I mean, we're not a huge production.
00:28:01.920 --> 00:28:05.839
Um, and so people taking the initiative to be like, oh my gosh, what are you doing?
00:28:05.920 --> 00:28:07.279
Like, how can I find you?
00:28:07.359 --> 00:28:09.119
That's such a fun idea, etc.
00:28:09.279 --> 00:28:10.160
Like, really nice.
00:28:10.400 --> 00:28:11.200
Yeah, yeah.
00:28:11.519 --> 00:28:14.400
So more to come on on conventions, probably in the future.
00:28:14.480 --> 00:28:32.480
I'd say if I had to give any feedback, I would say if you're at a convention and you choose to fart as you're passing by me, you deserve jail time because I was absorbing scents and smells on this convention floor that no human should be subject to.
00:28:33.359 --> 00:28:34.079
Hot take.
00:28:34.240 --> 00:28:34.880
It wasn't that bad.
00:28:34.960 --> 00:28:35.920
He's being a little dramatic.
00:28:36.400 --> 00:28:39.599
It was like at least three times someone crop justed right by me.
00:28:40.079 --> 00:28:41.279
So, Parker.
00:28:42.559 --> 00:28:43.759
Horrorhound.
00:28:44.240 --> 00:28:46.319
Smash or slash.
00:28:47.200 --> 00:28:47.839
Oh my gosh.
00:28:48.000 --> 00:28:51.279
Horrorhound weekend is a smash.
00:28:51.440 --> 00:28:56.799
We might be a little um, we might develop more taste.
00:28:57.200 --> 00:28:59.279
Taste as we go to more conventions.
00:29:01.039 --> 00:29:01.759
tasty.
00:29:02.000 --> 00:29:03.599
Yes, I had a fabulous time.
00:29:03.680 --> 00:29:07.039
We like I said, we met a lot of people and bought a lot of stuff.
00:29:07.200 --> 00:29:07.599
It was great.
00:29:07.759 --> 00:29:08.640
Caroline, what do you think?
00:29:08.720 --> 00:29:09.599
Smash or slash?
00:29:09.680 --> 00:29:10.960
It's a hard smash for me.
00:29:11.359 --> 00:29:12.559
Great vibes all around.
00:29:12.799 --> 00:29:13.200
Loved it.
00:29:13.440 --> 00:29:13.759
Yen?
00:29:14.240 --> 00:29:15.920
Of course, a smash for me as well.
00:29:16.079 --> 00:29:17.200
I got a hat.
00:29:17.440 --> 00:29:21.039
So that's what he set out to do, so he accomplished his goal.
00:29:21.279 --> 00:29:26.319
All right, well, you'll have to see us at Horror Hound Weekends in the future as well, because we have blasts.
00:01:25.920 --> 00:01:26.719
Should we spin?
00:01:26.879 --> 00:01:28.239
Spin it around, show yourself.
00:01:29.599 --> 00:01:30.400
Show yourself.
00:01:34.159 --> 00:01:35.599
Yeah, now give away.
00:01:38.079 --> 00:01:38.400
No.
00:01:47.040 --> 00:01:49.519
Imagine everybody inside can see this.
00:01:55.359 --> 00:01:56.799
It's your killer host.
00:01:57.040 --> 00:01:58.000
It's Caroline.
00:01:58.159 --> 00:02:01.120
I'm Parker, and Ian's behind the camera.
00:02:01.359 --> 00:02:05.200
And we are here at Horror Hound in Cincinnati.
00:02:05.519 --> 00:02:06.799
We are so excited.
00:02:06.879 --> 00:02:10.000
It is all three of our first ever conventions.
00:02:10.639 --> 00:02:16.000
I have not seen very much, but we just got here and there are some spooky characters running around.
00:02:16.159 --> 00:02:17.759
I cannot wait to see what's inside.
00:02:17.919 --> 00:02:23.840
Oh my gosh, we have seen uh an amazing Freddy Krueger and a Jason and a Frankenfurter.
00:02:23.919 --> 00:02:25.520
We are seeing costumes out the ass.
00:02:25.599 --> 00:02:26.319
It's amazing.
00:02:26.560 --> 00:02:28.639
Things I don't even know what they are.
00:02:28.800 --> 00:02:29.120
Exactly.
00:02:29.199 --> 00:02:31.759
And we got a little glimpse of the showroom floor.
00:02:31.919 --> 00:02:35.120
It looks bigger, more major than I could have anticipated.
00:02:35.199 --> 00:02:37.599
So we're really excited to get in there and shop, Caroline.
00:02:37.680 --> 00:02:40.719
What are you looking forward to shopping for today?
00:02:41.039 --> 00:02:45.919
Well, I really want a cute, maybe spooky crew neck, maybe some pins.
00:02:46.080 --> 00:02:46.400
I don't know.
00:02:46.479 --> 00:02:47.439
What are you looking for?
00:02:47.759 --> 00:02:49.120
I want anything cute.
00:02:49.280 --> 00:02:58.800
I want to open a box, display a bauble, I want some sort of memorabilia, memories for life being made today.
00:02:59.199 --> 00:03:01.759
Ian, what do you want from behind the camera?
00:03:02.400 --> 00:03:04.319
I want a really cool hat.
00:03:04.960 --> 00:03:06.319
He's looking for a hat.
00:03:06.560 --> 00:03:07.759
Alright, let's get in there.
00:03:07.840 --> 00:03:08.879
I can't wait to see everything.
00:03:09.120 --> 00:03:13.439
Like two seconds in, I already underestimated the merch that would be happening here.
00:03:13.680 --> 00:03:14.960
It is crazy in here.
00:03:15.039 --> 00:03:17.280
I'm getting ready to drop some bills.
00:03:17.439 --> 00:03:19.039
It's giving commerce.
00:03:19.599 --> 00:03:21.199
Batman is getting a tattoo.
00:03:21.439 --> 00:03:22.240
First tattoo.
00:03:22.800 --> 00:03:23.280
Stay tuned.
00:03:23.520 --> 00:03:24.639
Pumpkin we saw.
00:03:24.879 --> 00:03:26.639
Ew, no, that's a little different.
00:03:26.879 --> 00:03:28.000
It's cute.
00:03:28.479 --> 00:03:29.599
$165.
00:03:31.759 --> 00:03:35.680
We are looking at some sickening three-dimensional posters.
00:03:35.840 --> 00:03:39.840
These are like little film things with posters.
00:03:41.199 --> 00:03:41.919
Oh, cool.
00:03:42.159 --> 00:03:44.000
As if I wasn't sold already.
00:03:46.240 --> 00:03:46.960
I love that.
00:03:47.120 --> 00:03:48.319
Just enough to be spooky.
00:03:49.199 --> 00:03:50.800
Oh, it's the whole booth.
00:03:51.280 --> 00:03:52.319
Oh, cool.
00:03:52.639 --> 00:03:53.840
Comic book scoops.
00:03:54.080 --> 00:03:55.280
Gremlins! Can we go in?
00:03:56.080 --> 00:03:56.159
Alright.
00:03:57.439 --> 00:03:58.560
I love Gremlins.
00:03:59.520 --> 00:04:00.479
My favorite Christmas movie.
00:04:02.240 --> 00:04:02.400
Yeah.
00:04:02.639 --> 00:04:03.919
Yes, that is so cute.
00:04:04.080 --> 00:04:06.719
I love the trick-or-treat is really cute.
00:04:07.360 --> 00:04:08.319
Caroline, what are you buying?
00:04:08.800 --> 00:04:10.159
Halloween one over here, too.
00:04:10.719 --> 00:04:12.319
Cat, the pet cemetery cat.
00:04:13.520 --> 00:04:13.919
Church.
00:04:14.319 --> 00:04:14.560
Yes.
00:04:15.280 --> 00:04:16.240
Oh yes, church.
00:04:16.959 --> 00:04:17.839
Church the cat.
00:04:18.240 --> 00:04:18.879
So cute.
00:04:19.439 --> 00:04:25.199
Paint these really cool, like vintage pendants that are horror themed.
00:04:25.680 --> 00:04:27.759
Oh, look, there's a Rocky Horror one.
00:04:28.480 --> 00:04:29.040
Yes.
00:04:29.279 --> 00:04:30.480
Don't dream it be.
00:04:30.560 --> 00:04:32.079
It used to be my Instagram bio.
00:04:32.399 --> 00:04:37.439
But there's one over here that I love that looks like a regular like situation.
00:04:37.600 --> 00:04:38.160
It's very cute.
00:04:38.399 --> 00:04:39.680
There's a one-wish willow one.
00:04:39.920 --> 00:04:41.839
I think we are going to get these three.
00:04:44.399 --> 00:04:45.199
Oh, wait, wait.
00:04:45.839 --> 00:04:50.800
We have spotted the clips I'm wearing right now on the show floor.
00:04:51.040 --> 00:04:52.240
We must get more.
00:04:56.319 --> 00:04:58.079
There's a final girl clip.
00:04:58.639 --> 00:04:59.920
Anne's hair's getting long.
00:05:00.079 --> 00:05:00.720
He needs some.
00:05:00.879 --> 00:05:01.199
I know.
00:05:01.439 --> 00:05:02.560
These are all for Ian.
00:05:02.639 --> 00:05:03.439
He needs to get glam.
00:05:04.480 --> 00:05:05.120
Nice.
00:05:05.759 --> 00:05:08.560
Caroline, I'm thinking the lightning bolts.
00:05:09.040 --> 00:05:10.000
They glow in the dark.
00:05:10.879 --> 00:05:11.519
Whoa!
00:05:12.000 --> 00:05:14.000
These glow in the dark.
00:05:15.040 --> 00:05:16.319
The eyeballs.
00:05:16.800 --> 00:05:17.199
Sweet.
00:05:17.360 --> 00:05:17.600
Cute.
00:05:17.839 --> 00:05:18.319
Oh, that's cool.
00:05:18.639 --> 00:05:20.000
Actual little bows.
00:05:22.079 --> 00:05:25.199
Or the earring wall over here.
00:05:25.360 --> 00:05:25.920
E.T.
00:05:27.519 --> 00:05:28.959
These are so cute.
00:05:29.920 --> 00:05:31.199
I am unwell.
00:05:31.439 --> 00:05:33.680
Gladys is the star of the convention.
00:05:33.920 --> 00:05:37.519
Imagine having two little Gladys on the side of your head.
00:05:38.480 --> 00:05:40.639
I had some already in today.
00:05:42.399 --> 00:05:42.959
Uh yeah.
00:05:43.839 --> 00:05:44.560
Perfect.
00:05:45.680 --> 00:05:47.199
You're a wizard, Harry.
00:05:50.000 --> 00:05:50.959
Five dollars.
00:05:51.199 --> 00:05:52.879
You have to buy this, Parker.
00:05:53.040 --> 00:05:54.879
They're paying us for these bows.
00:05:55.120 --> 00:05:56.079
Red alert.
00:05:56.160 --> 00:05:57.360
We are hitting bows.
00:05:57.600 --> 00:05:58.879
More things for the hair.
00:05:59.120 --> 00:06:01.600
Oh, well, it'd have to be this because these are my lovers.
00:06:02.079 --> 00:06:02.959
Bad boys.
00:06:03.360 --> 00:06:06.399
I think I'll have to do maybe the Billy and stew though.
00:06:08.480 --> 00:06:09.839
Gonna have to get.
00:06:11.839 --> 00:06:13.600
Oh, there's just a plain ghost face.
00:06:13.680 --> 00:06:14.399
That's cute.
00:06:14.639 --> 00:06:19.199
No, I think I'm gonna have to get Casey.
00:06:19.759 --> 00:06:21.439
Yeah, that's cute.
00:06:21.759 --> 00:06:23.360
Or Nev.
00:06:23.600 --> 00:06:24.240
Yeah.
00:06:24.959 --> 00:06:26.079
The Elvira.
00:06:26.399 --> 00:06:27.759
She's a little more pricey.
00:06:27.920 --> 00:06:28.480
High qual.
00:06:29.040 --> 00:06:31.519
Okay, not horror, but like incredible.
00:06:32.800 --> 00:06:33.360
Hey.
00:06:34.319 --> 00:06:35.600
Pedro Pascal.
00:06:37.199 --> 00:06:40.560
Okay, if we spend$35, we get a gift.
00:06:40.800 --> 00:06:42.000
Are you kidding me?
00:06:42.800 --> 00:06:43.680
Hilarious.
00:06:44.240 --> 00:06:45.519
Okay, red alert.
00:06:45.839 --> 00:06:48.079
We are doing a live reclipping.
00:06:48.240 --> 00:06:51.279
These gorge, but I need something a little fresh.
00:06:51.600 --> 00:06:53.839
Okay, Caroline, do the honors.
00:07:01.519 --> 00:07:02.079
Cute!
00:07:02.800 --> 00:07:03.839
Oh my god, how does it look?
00:07:04.000 --> 00:07:04.800
It looks so good.
00:07:05.759 --> 00:07:08.639
We are checking out some atomic cotton t-shirts.
00:07:08.720 --> 00:07:09.600
They look very cute.
00:07:09.680 --> 00:07:12.240
I'm seeing a lot of scream representation.
00:07:12.720 --> 00:07:13.680
What is this?
00:07:13.920 --> 00:07:15.279
16 candles.
00:07:15.519 --> 00:07:15.839
Oh.
00:07:17.839 --> 00:07:20.800
You know, not enough people make scream merchandise.
00:07:21.360 --> 00:07:22.160
We really need more.
00:07:22.639 --> 00:07:25.279
This one was up on the That is so cute.
00:07:25.519 --> 00:07:28.079
It's a scream on the corn.
00:07:34.639 --> 00:07:36.959
Okay, so tell us about Dent School House.
00:07:37.120 --> 00:07:39.920
So the Dent School House is celebrating its 30th year this year.
00:07:40.000 --> 00:07:41.439
We're on the west side of Cincinnati.
00:07:41.519 --> 00:07:45.199
It's about 25 minutes away from where we're standing at Whore Hound.
00:07:45.759 --> 00:07:49.680
New characters, new areas, everything is super exciting this year.
00:07:50.079 --> 00:07:53.600
It's opening weekend for us, so we're open Saturday, so we're open tonight.
00:07:54.399 --> 00:07:55.600
But yeah, come by and see us.
00:07:55.759 --> 00:07:59.759
You can check us out online for tickets, or you can just come on up.
00:07:59.839 --> 00:08:01.360
We're 7:30 to 11 tonight.
00:08:01.519 --> 00:08:04.720
I'm assuming you've gone through it multiple times.
00:08:05.920 --> 00:08:07.279
Does it still scare you?
00:08:07.519 --> 00:08:09.600
Well, they try to change it up as much as they can every year.
00:08:09.759 --> 00:08:12.879
They added a new greenhouse area this year, which is really cool.
00:08:13.120 --> 00:08:15.759
And they redid, they call it the Monster Midway.
00:08:15.920 --> 00:08:19.040
It's back behind the house, so it's like after the house, it's tough to do.
00:08:19.120 --> 00:08:22.800
Like there's games, escape rooms, uh, they've got gourmet donuts.
00:08:23.120 --> 00:08:23.279
Okay.
00:08:23.519 --> 00:08:25.360
So yeah, it's it's a good time.
00:08:26.000 --> 00:08:27.680
Alright, Dent Schoolhouse.
00:08:27.839 --> 00:08:28.639
Check it out.
00:08:28.879 --> 00:08:31.920
Alright, we are here with Justin from Horror Hound.
00:08:32.080 --> 00:08:34.320
Justin, tell us a little bit about Horror Hound.
00:08:34.399 --> 00:08:36.559
You guys just celebrated your 20th anniversary.
00:08:36.799 --> 00:08:37.279
Yes, we did.
00:08:37.360 --> 00:08:38.480
So hi, I'm Justin.
00:08:38.559 --> 00:08:42.879
Uh I'm operations director for Horror Hound and Horrorhound Film Festival.
00:08:43.039 --> 00:08:45.120
Uh yeah, we've been doing this for 20 years.
00:08:45.360 --> 00:08:49.279
A lot of the people that help make this run are volunteers.
00:08:49.519 --> 00:08:51.120
They're the fans themselves.
00:08:51.360 --> 00:08:59.120
They put a lot of time and effort to make everything run smoothly, uh, and it's a we become a very tight-knit family.
00:08:59.279 --> 00:09:10.960
We help the filmmakers that come and show their films here network with other film filmmakers, cosplayers, because they put a lot of time and effort in their costumes.
00:09:11.200 --> 00:09:13.759
You might need that person to do costumes for your film.
00:09:14.000 --> 00:09:22.799
This is one of the only places that if you're that unique kid that grew up liking something that not necessarily everybody liked, you find your tribe here.
00:09:23.519 --> 00:09:30.000
And even if you're not volunteering, the volunteers of the past still come here to hang out.
00:09:30.080 --> 00:09:33.039
It's become like the family reunion every six months.
00:09:33.279 --> 00:09:36.159
I definitely feel like a good family community here.
00:09:36.399 --> 00:09:44.240
If you were gonna give a recommendation for someone who is at Horror Hound for the first time, us, what would be your recommendation?
00:09:44.480 --> 00:09:46.320
Well, first I would say, what are you into?
00:09:46.480 --> 00:09:48.399
There is different aspects of horror.
00:09:48.559 --> 00:09:51.039
Some people like the special effects.
00:09:51.120 --> 00:09:53.039
Well, you're here during Mask Fest.
00:09:53.200 --> 00:09:53.279
Yeah.
00:09:53.519 --> 00:09:56.000
And Mask Fest, currently, we're on the upper floor.
00:09:56.240 --> 00:09:59.840
Maskfest is what we call, it's in the basement or the underground.
00:10:00.159 --> 00:10:11.039
Down there, you can bump elbows with the professionals that made movie magic come to life like Tom Savini.
00:10:11.600 --> 00:10:15.679
Uh, Tom is down there, he's very approachable, he loves his fans.
00:10:15.840 --> 00:10:18.159
Um, Robert Kurtzman's down there.
00:10:18.399 --> 00:10:25.360
I was the kid that before there was this the special features, I wanted to find something about how the movie was made.
00:10:25.519 --> 00:10:31.759
These gentlemen used to come on like late-night talk shows and show how the movie magic was done.
00:10:31.840 --> 00:10:35.360
They were on Nickelodeon back in the day, having those shows.
00:10:35.519 --> 00:10:37.840
And you get a chance to go down there and meet these people.
00:10:38.000 --> 00:10:41.519
You like your uh the actors' aspect.
00:10:41.679 --> 00:10:48.240
There's uh a room up the way, and back there in the vendor hall, there's a section to walk up and meet those actors.
00:10:48.559 --> 00:10:52.879
The film aspect, the actors, just the people that are passionate about it too.
00:10:52.960 --> 00:10:55.120
So it's definitely a great group here.
00:10:55.360 --> 00:10:56.639
Check out Horror Hound.
00:10:56.720 --> 00:10:57.679
Thank you so much, Justin.
00:10:57.759 --> 00:10:58.320
This was great.
00:10:58.559 --> 00:11:02.559
Alright, I'm here with our new besties, Nick and Lin's Love Horror.
00:11:02.799 --> 00:11:04.000
Introduce yourselves.
00:11:04.240 --> 00:11:07.919
So I'm Linz, and this is Nick, and we're Nick and Lynn's Love Horror.
00:11:08.000 --> 00:11:13.759
We do horror content online and then local spooky stuff in Cincinnati as well.
00:11:14.080 --> 00:11:17.519
Yes, we are here with the Cincinnati horror experts, I feel like.
00:11:18.480 --> 00:11:23.440
And you guys, I've gotta know what's your favorite scary movie.
00:11:23.759 --> 00:11:24.799
You wanna take it first?
00:11:25.039 --> 00:11:26.000
So I have two.
00:11:26.159 --> 00:11:33.120
I have to say scream because it's so good, but also repo the genetic opera is my favorite.
00:11:33.519 --> 00:11:33.919
Yes.
00:11:34.240 --> 00:11:35.679
And then mine is Evil Dead.
00:11:35.759 --> 00:11:37.519
I don't think it gets much better than Evil Dead.
00:11:37.600 --> 00:11:41.840
You have Bruce Campbell, you have all the blood in the world, just the ultimate can't be fun time.
00:11:42.159 --> 00:11:44.399
What's your hot take on the new Evil Dead movie?
00:11:44.480 --> 00:11:46.000
Are they live are they living up?
00:11:46.240 --> 00:11:49.360
No, unfortunately, they get a little worse to me each time.
00:11:49.440 --> 00:11:54.480
I still had an okay enough time with Burn, but I hope they take it in a little different direction with Renat.
00:11:54.720 --> 00:11:55.519
And I hated it.
00:11:55.759 --> 00:11:57.600
Yeah, she did not like it one bit.
00:11:58.799 --> 00:12:01.679
Oh, the Mask Fest is downstairs.
00:12:02.399 --> 00:12:04.240
Alright, we've gone downstairs.
00:12:04.480 --> 00:12:06.159
We thought we were at Horror Hound.
00:12:06.240 --> 00:12:09.279
We are actually now at Mask Fest.
00:12:09.919 --> 00:12:14.240
And this apparently is a very cool part of the show.
00:12:14.480 --> 00:12:20.879
I can't say that I have a lot of experience with masks, so I'm ready to don my new passion.
00:12:21.200 --> 00:12:22.399
We're gonna get educated.
00:12:22.639 --> 00:12:23.200
Yes.
00:12:23.440 --> 00:12:24.399
Let's go.
00:12:26.080 --> 00:12:27.840
We are seeing masks.
00:12:29.120 --> 00:12:30.240
Oh my god.
00:12:33.519 --> 00:12:34.320
What's your name?
00:12:34.639 --> 00:12:35.840
Uh Dennis Preston.
00:12:36.080 --> 00:12:40.480
Okay, and you were saying that this gal is your favorite new creation.
00:12:40.720 --> 00:12:48.799
Uh yeah, I mean, she's she's about two years old, but you know, as far as everything here, she's my favorite, but you also can't forget about the man that time forgot.
00:12:48.960 --> 00:12:52.399
I didn't forget about him, but time didn't forget.
00:12:53.360 --> 00:12:54.639
Functional time piece.
00:12:54.799 --> 00:12:55.279
I'm loving.
00:12:55.519 --> 00:12:59.279
What is your like, how do you come up with the concept for your monsters?
00:12:59.519 --> 00:13:01.200
It really just depends on what I'm doing.
00:13:01.279 --> 00:13:07.360
I mean, I'm I I work in the film industry mainly, so creating prosthetics, you know, creature suits, blood rigs, you know, all that kind of stuff.
00:13:07.440 --> 00:13:09.519
So this is really just kind of a side thing for me.
00:13:09.679 --> 00:13:09.840
Yeah.
00:13:10.080 --> 00:13:14.480
Uh I mean, these two particularly were for a film themselves, so I didn't design them overall.
00:13:14.639 --> 00:13:19.039
I had a part in them, but uh I redesigned the paint job just to sell.
00:13:19.360 --> 00:13:22.559
But uh it really just depends on what comes in my head and what my hands do.
00:13:22.799 --> 00:13:31.759
Sometimes, you know, a zombie comes out, uh, like this was originally going to be a uh like a vampire, but then it turned into a werewolf bat thing.
00:13:31.919 --> 00:13:32.080
Yeah.
00:13:32.240 --> 00:13:34.000
So, you know, you never know what's only happening.
00:13:34.159 --> 00:13:41.840
I kind of like enjoy working and uh you know letting you know the freedom of the craziness of the human mind just run wild.
00:13:42.159 --> 00:13:45.120
That is so cool, and I'm loving all of your women.
00:13:45.519 --> 00:13:50.639
I've been thinking that horror movies recently have been getting a little bit away from the nudity.
00:13:50.720 --> 00:13:51.440
I need it back.
00:13:51.679 --> 00:13:54.879
Well, it there there's ebbs and you know, there's flows to it, you know.
00:13:54.960 --> 00:14:09.039
There's but if you watch anything on HBO, you know, you get you know, Game of Thrones hit it back hard and then it slowed down again, and then there's that one scene where you see a full-on, you know, uh thing happening in the background of House of the Dragon.
00:14:09.200 --> 00:14:14.639
And so there's there's flows to it, and it really just depends on who's making it, how old they are, things like that.
00:14:14.720 --> 00:14:19.519
But nudity is just nudity as long as you respect it, depending on what you're using it for.
00:14:19.600 --> 00:14:20.559
So these are gorgeous.
00:14:20.639 --> 00:14:22.399
And what movie can we see these two in?
00:14:22.720 --> 00:14:26.720
These two uh you can find in a film that was recently released called Demon Hunter 2.
00:14:26.879 --> 00:14:30.720
Zoe Kavanaugh is an Irish filmmaker from Ireland, of course.
00:14:30.879 --> 00:14:39.759
Uh came down here to Kentucky several years ago to create the film, and uh it is now available on streaming, I believe, through Amazon and stuff like that.
00:14:39.919 --> 00:14:42.799
So these were designs for some of her CGI creatures.
00:14:42.960 --> 00:14:49.440
So we had the actors in green screen suits wear these over their heads and then she scanned them and then turned them into a 3D design.
00:14:49.679 --> 00:14:50.080
Amazing.
00:14:50.240 --> 00:14:51.519
Well, we're gonna check it out.
00:14:51.759 --> 00:14:52.799
Oh, it definitely should.
00:14:52.879 --> 00:14:53.679
It's a fun time.
00:14:53.919 --> 00:14:55.200
Awesome, thank you so much.
00:14:55.440 --> 00:14:56.639
Thank you guys.
00:15:11.919 --> 00:15:14.720
Oh, I love these guys.
00:15:14.879 --> 00:15:15.840
Look at them.
00:15:16.960 --> 00:15:18.320
Get a little tissue.
00:15:19.200 --> 00:15:20.399
They look wet.
00:15:20.720 --> 00:15:21.519
Don't touch.
00:15:22.879 --> 00:15:23.279
Look at this.
00:15:23.360 --> 00:15:24.320
Ooh, look at that blood.
00:15:25.519 --> 00:15:26.799
Oh, I love that.
00:15:28.960 --> 00:15:30.159
I love the glass.
00:15:31.519 --> 00:15:32.879
It says they're wearable.
00:15:33.519 --> 00:15:35.039
Do you think they can go on your shoulders?
00:15:35.279 --> 00:15:35.679
Yeah.
00:15:36.080 --> 00:15:39.600
Wait, they're lightweight and uh flexible, durable.
00:15:39.840 --> 00:15:41.840
And they have a clip on the inside.
00:15:42.159 --> 00:15:50.159
So you just take whatever you want to stick it to, like your shirt or whatever you're displaying it on, pinch it, find a little spot, and it just hangs out on there.
00:15:50.480 --> 00:15:53.759
It's not going anywhere.
00:15:53.919 --> 00:15:56.960
He's got little rubber grips on the clips so that they really hold.
00:15:57.279 --> 00:16:01.039
And then you pick whatever color you like and which eyes you'd like to go with it.
00:16:01.279 --> 00:16:04.480
And then so it's a little customizable to whatever you're feeling.
00:16:05.600 --> 00:16:10.879
Yeah, he does different color ranges, he'll do custom stuff with the tails and things like that online.
00:16:11.440 --> 00:16:14.879
Um I think the orange one is a new color he brought out this year.
00:16:15.360 --> 00:16:16.080
So yeah.
00:16:16.879 --> 00:16:17.679
Can I try one on?
00:16:17.840 --> 00:16:18.159
Absolutely.
00:16:18.240 --> 00:16:18.639
Yeah, we can.
00:16:24.080 --> 00:16:24.639
Yeah, yeah.
00:16:30.559 --> 00:16:31.279
Oh my gosh.
00:16:31.360 --> 00:16:32.080
How does it feel?
00:16:32.240 --> 00:16:33.360
It's so cute!
00:16:35.519 --> 00:16:37.120
They're so light, you kind of forget it's even like.
00:16:37.279 --> 00:16:38.639
I know, I can dance out of the world.
00:16:38.879 --> 00:16:39.840
Give us your best move.
00:16:40.159 --> 00:16:42.960
That's actually how it's everything I just said is a little bit.
00:16:44.559 --> 00:16:45.759
Oh, these are the things.
00:16:46.000 --> 00:16:47.200
Yeah, those are cute.
00:16:48.240 --> 00:16:49.200
Me, my best friend.
00:16:55.759 --> 00:16:57.600
Red hot pussy lickers.
00:17:07.200 --> 00:17:07.680
Cute.
00:17:08.480 --> 00:17:09.200
Those are fun.
00:17:09.519 --> 00:17:10.240
Did you make these?
00:17:10.400 --> 00:17:10.640
I do.
00:17:11.039 --> 00:17:11.680
These are so cute.
00:17:13.680 --> 00:17:14.880
You do the artwork too.
00:17:15.119 --> 00:17:16.319
These are so cool.
00:17:21.920 --> 00:17:23.039
Um, card.
00:17:23.839 --> 00:17:25.039
I know, I've actually been a lot more.
00:17:33.440 --> 00:17:37.599
We could get the faculty, classic, classic 90s.
00:17:39.279 --> 00:17:39.839
Ooh.
00:17:40.400 --> 00:17:42.880
We got a little Scooby-Doo action.
00:17:43.359 --> 00:17:46.240
Oh my gosh, Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders.
00:17:46.480 --> 00:17:48.720
I fucked that up when I was a kid.
00:17:48.960 --> 00:17:52.319
Ooh! A little chocolate knife.
00:17:52.640 --> 00:17:53.359
Oh cute.
00:17:53.839 --> 00:17:54.799
Little characters.
00:17:55.680 --> 00:17:56.559
Ghost face.
00:17:57.599 --> 00:17:58.240
Michael.
00:17:58.559 --> 00:17:59.119
Look at these.
00:17:59.599 --> 00:18:03.039
Little tombstone crunch, our little midday pick me up.
00:18:03.519 --> 00:18:06.880
Ian's choice on the dark chocolate, because he's got a dark heart.
00:18:07.119 --> 00:18:07.599
Spider.
00:18:08.079 --> 00:18:09.359
This one's cute.
00:18:14.160 --> 00:18:15.839
What if I just put the whole thing on now?
00:18:16.000 --> 00:18:19.359
That one's thick'ums.
00:18:20.720 --> 00:18:21.839
This is ASMR.
00:18:25.279 --> 00:18:26.000
Do it.
00:18:30.079 --> 00:18:32.240
These are so soft.
00:18:32.480 --> 00:18:34.720
The little Cecilia action.
00:18:37.039 --> 00:18:38.160
They have other shorts.
00:18:38.799 --> 00:18:45.920
So my name's Lenora, writer and creator and host of Midnight Rental, which is a late night style horror-hosted show.
00:18:46.880 --> 00:18:48.079
It takes place in a video store.
00:18:48.160 --> 00:18:49.119
You can find it on YouTube.
00:18:50.160 --> 00:18:52.000
And this is a star.
00:18:52.319 --> 00:18:54.000
She was in the movie Buddy.
00:18:55.039 --> 00:18:56.400
But unfortunately.
00:18:56.880 --> 00:19:00.640
Unfortunately, my scene got cut, which is fine.
00:19:00.880 --> 00:19:18.480
But it was filmed in Cleveland at TRG Multimedia, and Substance is one of the executive producers, and Jeff Yaw wrote this really clever fake sitcom that Kristen Miliati's character would be like flipping through the channels while she's trying to sleep.
00:19:18.640 --> 00:19:26.559
And it was gonna show on uh the TV screen, and the fake sitcom was called Daddy's Home.
00:19:26.880 --> 00:19:39.200
And because kids are disappearing, my character, I was the mom, I kept saying, like, kids, come downstairs, daddy's home, because my on-screen husband comes home, but the kids are nowhere to be found.
00:19:39.359 --> 00:19:44.000
So I technically my voice made it in the movie, so it still counts.
00:19:44.079 --> 00:19:45.200
I'm in buddy, yeah.
00:19:45.519 --> 00:19:49.359
So cool! Oh wait, what was your line that's that stayed in?
00:19:49.759 --> 00:19:51.279
Uh Daddy's home.
00:19:51.599 --> 00:19:55.839
You hear you do wind up hearing it on the on the TV when she's like uh laying in front of the TV.
00:19:55.920 --> 00:19:56.079
Yeah.
00:19:56.160 --> 00:19:56.240
Wow.
00:19:56.480 --> 00:19:59.920
So we all loved that movie, so so good, so good.
00:20:00.640 --> 00:20:03.359
Okay, so our podcast is called What's Your Favorite Scary Movie?
00:20:03.680 --> 00:20:06.480
So we have to ask, what is your favorite scary movie?
00:20:06.640 --> 00:20:08.079
Oh, that is so hard.
00:20:08.160 --> 00:20:13.599
That's like picking a favorite child, and I don't have children, um, thankfully, for everyone involved.
00:20:13.839 --> 00:20:26.720
Uh, but my favorite scary movie, I think I'm always going to have to default to Halloween because that was a film that I saw at a young age.
00:20:26.799 --> 00:20:38.400
I didn't sleep for about six months after I saw it, and it is essentially a bloodless film that I think is every bit as effective today as it was back then.
00:20:38.559 --> 00:20:42.799
I put it on every Halloween when I hand out candy, and it's it still scares me.
00:20:43.359 --> 00:20:48.960
I feel like that's the like first impression like that stays with you as a as a horror fanatic.
00:20:49.119 --> 00:20:51.200
So very cool, we'll check you out.
00:20:54.240 --> 00:20:59.680
And can I also get this other goo the green goolade in a medium as well?
00:21:27.519 --> 00:21:28.960
Go ahead and introduce yourself.
00:21:29.440 --> 00:21:33.119
I am Tyler Blake, also known as Final Boy Tyler.
00:21:33.279 --> 00:21:38.559
I do horror content creation, all things spooky, movies, and spooky lifestyle.
00:21:38.640 --> 00:21:39.039
That's me.
00:21:39.359 --> 00:21:39.599
Nice.
00:21:39.680 --> 00:21:43.440
Well, I have my final girl earrings on, so we're mad, Shane.
00:21:43.920 --> 00:21:47.680
And we have to ask what's your favorite scary movie, Tyler?
00:21:48.079 --> 00:21:52.240
My all time favorite scary movie is the OG Psycho.
00:21:52.400 --> 00:21:57.519
I watched that when I was a really little kid, and I think it just did something to my brain chemistry.
00:21:57.680 --> 00:21:58.319
It's my favorite.
00:21:58.640 --> 00:21:59.599
You know, I feel like a lot of people.
00:22:00.240 --> 00:22:04.480
We ask it's always like their very first experience with horror and they just latch on.
00:22:04.880 --> 00:22:08.240
Look out for some upcoming collabs that I have in the Cincinnati area.
00:22:08.400 --> 00:22:12.960
I got some deals with some shops happening, so yeah, stay tuned.
00:22:13.759 --> 00:22:14.640
Thanks, Tyler.
00:22:19.759 --> 00:22:27.680
Right, we are post-horror hound, and we have to show you our haul because we got so much good stuff.
00:22:28.240 --> 00:22:36.880
Um, I had a max budget of a hundred bucks, and I spent only about double that.
00:22:38.799 --> 00:22:39.039
No.
00:22:39.599 --> 00:22:40.799
We're gonna tally it all up.
00:22:40.880 --> 00:22:44.720
So, Parker, you're gonna start us off and finish us off because you have more merch.
00:22:44.799 --> 00:22:47.920
So, show us show us your most memorable merch.
00:22:48.160 --> 00:22:51.440
Okay, so you saw live in the episode my reclipping.
00:22:51.519 --> 00:22:55.200
I got this Elvira bow, which was gorgeous and beautiful.
00:22:55.440 --> 00:23:02.640
This sweet little scream Casey bow, which I will also be rocking.
00:23:02.799 --> 00:23:10.400
Um, unfortunately, I don't remember the vendor that we got this from, and um, you know, peace and blessings to them.
00:23:10.480 --> 00:23:11.680
I bet they're fabulous.
00:23:11.839 --> 00:23:14.960
So I cannot point you to their shop, but very cute.
00:23:15.200 --> 00:23:19.519
Alright, we also got I'm on the mic now.
00:23:19.839 --> 00:23:22.240
Some very cute little banners.
00:23:22.400 --> 00:23:23.680
I will show you one by one.
00:23:24.000 --> 00:23:26.640
This is one of our first grabs, it really grabbed us.
00:23:27.279 --> 00:23:28.480
Widow's Bay.
00:23:28.880 --> 00:23:36.880
We got a little midsummer, and my favorite thing about this is it says stay till you're 72.
00:23:37.279 --> 00:23:40.319
And we had to get a little scream representation.
00:23:40.480 --> 00:23:43.759
Um, so we got the greetings from Woodsboro, which is so cute.
00:23:43.839 --> 00:23:45.839
It's gonna look so cute in my office.
00:23:46.079 --> 00:23:46.720
Yay!
00:23:47.200 --> 00:23:48.400
I love those pendant.
00:23:48.640 --> 00:23:55.440
I'm a hat boy, and I successfully acquired a shining hat.
00:23:55.599 --> 00:23:56.319
I love it.
00:23:56.559 --> 00:23:58.559
Look at it, I think it's amazing.
00:23:58.960 --> 00:24:06.319
It's from Paul Bearer Press, where I also got a couple pairs of shorts.
00:24:06.480 --> 00:24:10.240
I got for myself the evil bows.
00:24:10.960 --> 00:24:11.519
Oh my land.
00:24:15.119 --> 00:24:16.960
I got the Sespiria shorts.
00:24:17.119 --> 00:24:17.920
How cute.
00:24:18.160 --> 00:24:19.359
Fun, fun, fun.
00:24:19.599 --> 00:24:20.160
What else?
00:24:20.319 --> 00:24:21.359
What else do we got going?
00:24:21.680 --> 00:24:25.200
There's a there's a lot of for the set.
00:24:25.279 --> 00:24:27.039
We had to get a little Gladys.
00:24:27.359 --> 00:24:31.200
Gladys, you heard me say it a few times during the walkthrough.
00:24:31.359 --> 00:24:32.480
She was the star of the show.
00:24:32.640 --> 00:24:34.559
Gladys is abundant.
00:24:35.680 --> 00:24:39.359
I can make your parents hurt themselves.
00:24:39.440 --> 00:24:41.200
I can make them hurt each other.
00:24:41.440 --> 00:24:44.400
I can make them eat each other if I want to.
00:24:44.640 --> 00:24:46.319
Do I want to, Alex?
00:24:46.559 --> 00:24:47.599
It says so in the back.
00:24:47.839 --> 00:24:48.880
A beautiful line reading.
00:24:48.960 --> 00:25:00.400
This is from The Cuddle Colt, uh, designed by Ashley Ross, who was really sweet at the um booth, at her booth.
00:25:00.559 --> 00:25:04.960
She designed the um illustration and made it.
00:25:05.119 --> 00:25:05.200
Yeah.
00:25:05.359 --> 00:25:05.759
The doll.
00:25:06.079 --> 00:25:06.240
Yeah.
00:25:06.400 --> 00:25:08.079
Really talented stuff there.
00:25:08.319 --> 00:25:10.640
I'm also sporting some new earrings.
00:25:10.720 --> 00:25:12.960
They are my final girl earrings.
00:25:13.200 --> 00:25:19.759
Uh, this uh vendor is one that is known to the scary movie pod fam already.
00:25:20.000 --> 00:25:26.240
Yes, because I was wearing some clips and then we got some cute little eyeball clips that we can use.
00:25:26.480 --> 00:25:27.920
Caroline and I might scare.
00:25:28.160 --> 00:25:28.559
Split that.
00:25:28.799 --> 00:25:29.839
Scare, share.
00:25:30.079 --> 00:25:31.759
Share, scare and share.
00:25:32.880 --> 00:25:35.440
I also love a beautiful print.
00:25:35.519 --> 00:25:36.640
I love a little art.
00:25:37.039 --> 00:25:44.240
So get a gander at this witch on her bike, her motorbike.
00:25:46.400 --> 00:25:49.279
He he saw it and it was like three seconds.
00:25:49.440 --> 00:25:50.960
He was like, When you know, you know.
00:25:51.119 --> 00:25:51.680
It calls.
00:25:52.079 --> 00:25:52.640
I picked it up.
00:25:52.720 --> 00:25:54.000
I said, How much is this?
00:25:54.160 --> 00:25:55.599
He said, I think 25 bucks.
00:25:55.839 --> 00:25:57.200
I said, I'm it.
00:25:57.759 --> 00:25:59.839
And this is from the uh artist.
00:26:00.640 --> 00:26:02.960
That was before he overshot his budget, though.
00:26:03.279 --> 00:26:07.519
Matthew Lineham, you spoke to me.
00:26:07.839 --> 00:26:11.680
Are now going to be in my home because this is adorable.
00:26:12.000 --> 00:26:12.319
More.
00:26:12.640 --> 00:26:13.279
My shirts.
00:26:13.599 --> 00:26:14.480
I think this is the end.
00:26:14.799 --> 00:26:15.680
Oh, there's more.
00:26:16.640 --> 00:26:20.960
Okay, to close out the haul from Beast Wreck.
00:26:21.440 --> 00:26:24.000
We have two adorable shirts.
00:26:24.319 --> 00:26:25.440
I want to feel that.
00:26:25.839 --> 00:26:26.319
Look at this.
00:26:26.559 --> 00:26:29.200
Ooh, those are those are discharged.
00:26:29.519 --> 00:26:30.880
Those are discharged.
00:26:31.279 --> 00:26:49.440
It's a way of um it's a way of screen printing that makes it not like chunky and we have the super cute goul-aid with this little menace here, and then we have a second goula-id with this more kind of uh Cthulhu-esque creature.
00:26:49.920 --> 00:26:52.079
So that's the haul.
00:26:52.160 --> 00:26:55.359
What did you guys think of our first convention experience?
00:26:55.599 --> 00:26:58.799
It was first of all, the people are so lovely.
00:26:59.039 --> 00:26:59.359
Yes.
00:26:59.519 --> 00:27:04.880
I feel like everyone was very welcoming and excited to be here, very enthusiastic.
00:27:05.200 --> 00:27:12.480
Cosplaying, costumes, incredible, uh, vendors, really cool art going on.
00:27:12.799 --> 00:27:19.279
I have to say the AC in there was bussing because as you can see, as we've done this haul, I have been developing some stains.
00:27:19.680 --> 00:27:21.839
Um, because it's hot out here, y'all.
00:27:22.079 --> 00:27:26.000
Um, I agree, I was honestly a little bit stressed.
00:27:26.160 --> 00:27:28.880
Um, you know, new environment.
00:27:29.200 --> 00:27:34.720
I love people who love horror, but not all of those people love me and are mean.
00:27:35.039 --> 00:27:37.839
But everybody was so nice at this convention.
00:27:38.079 --> 00:27:39.920
I just always have my guards up, you know.
00:27:40.559 --> 00:27:44.799
And I think we had a lovely, there were so many people who just came up to say hi to us.
00:27:45.119 --> 00:27:50.000
So many of the vendors who just wanted to chit-chat about their stuff who were hilarious.
00:27:50.079 --> 00:27:52.319
I'm sure you saw a few throughout the video.
00:27:52.559 --> 00:27:58.079
And people were just naturally supportive of what we were doing and curious, which was uh really exciting to see.
00:27:58.160 --> 00:27:59.759
So yeah, exactly.
00:27:59.839 --> 00:28:01.680
I mean, we're not a huge production.
00:28:01.920 --> 00:28:05.839
Um, and so people taking the initiative to be like, oh my gosh, what are you doing?
00:28:05.920 --> 00:28:07.279
Like, how can I find you?
00:28:07.359 --> 00:28:09.119
That's such a fun idea, etc.
00:28:09.279 --> 00:28:10.160
Like, really nice.
00:28:10.400 --> 00:28:11.200
Yeah, yeah.
00:28:11.519 --> 00:28:14.400
So more to come on on conventions, probably in the future.
00:28:14.480 --> 00:28:32.480
I'd say if I had to give any feedback, I would say if you're at a convention and you choose to fart as you're passing by me, you deserve jail time because I was absorbing scents and smells on this convention floor that no human should be subject to.
00:28:33.359 --> 00:28:34.079
Hot take.
00:28:34.240 --> 00:28:34.880
It wasn't that bad.
00:28:34.960 --> 00:28:35.920
He's being a little dramatic.
00:28:36.400 --> 00:28:39.599
It was like at least three times someone crop justed right by me.
00:28:40.079 --> 00:28:41.279
So, Parker.
00:28:42.559 --> 00:28:43.759
Horrorhound.
00:28:44.240 --> 00:28:46.319
Smash or slash.
00:28:47.200 --> 00:28:47.839
Oh my gosh.
00:28:48.000 --> 00:28:51.279
Horrorhound weekend is a smash.
00:28:51.440 --> 00:28:56.799
We might be a little um, we might develop more taste.
00:28:57.200 --> 00:28:59.279
Taste as we go to more conventions.
00:29:01.039 --> 00:29:01.759
tasty.
00:29:02.000 --> 00:29:03.599
Yes, I had a fabulous time.
00:29:03.680 --> 00:29:07.039
We like I said, we met a lot of people and bought a lot of stuff.
00:29:07.200 --> 00:29:07.599
It was great.
00:29:07.759 --> 00:29:08.640
Caroline, what do you think?
00:29:08.720 --> 00:29:09.599
Smash or slash?
00:29:09.680 --> 00:29:10.960
It's a hard smash for me.
00:29:11.359 --> 00:29:12.559
Great vibes all around.
00:29:12.799 --> 00:29:13.200
Loved it.
00:29:13.440 --> 00:29:13.759
Yen?
00:29:14.240 --> 00:29:15.920
Of course, a smash for me as well.
00:29:16.079 --> 00:29:17.200
I got a hat.
00:29:17.440 --> 00:29:21.039
So that's what he set out to do, so he accomplished his goal.
00:29:21.279 --> 00:29:26.319
All right, well, you'll have to see us at Horror Hound Weekends in the future as well, because we have blasts.
