ABOUT THIS EPISODE
This week on We Playin’ Spades, Nick and Courtney barely get a word in as comedy royalty Jackée Harry and Kym Whitley pull up to the Turquoise Table and immediately take over the Backyard Boogie.
From the jump, it’s nonstop talk-yo-shhh energy—classic Hollywood stories, unfiltered shade, and the kind of auntie humor you cannot rehearse. Jackée and Kym trade wild memories from Detroit to Def Comedy Jam days, break down how Hollywood really works, and prove why they’ve been legends for decades: fearless, funny, and absolutely ungovernable.
The Spades game? Almost secondary. Between eating chitlins with Aretha Franklin, reneging accusations, OG advice from icons like Diahann Carroll, and wagers that spiral completely out of control, this episode turns into a masterclass in Black table talk.
It’s loud, it’s legendary, it’s lovingly disrespectful—and it might be the most Black-ass game of Spades we’ve ever played. Pull up… if you can keep up. 🃏🔥
