Digger Ending Explained: Why Everyone's Arguing About Tom Cruise's Twist | SPOILER'D
WHY is Tom Cruise’s Digger so controversial? What is the HUGE twist in the first 35 minutes? Is this a misunderstood masterpiece or a satiric allegory for where the world is headed? WATCH SKIP PLUS HAS THE ANSWERS!
Tom Cruise goes big, loud and prosthetic-bellied as oil mogul Digger Rockwell in Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s Digger. But what’s this about a story-defining TWIST and an “perspective re-framing” ending? You heard the controversy…you saw the opening box office numbers…you know Warner Bros. got swallowed up by a billionaire’s son…Watch Skip Plus gives you ALL THE SPOILERS AND EXPLANATIONS. Cupcake (Jose) and WillDaBeast (Mike) are joined by John Horgan (fellow YouTuber with “And Now for Something a Little Bit Different…) and pro film critic Josh Hurtado, editor of the brilliant Screen Anarchy breakdown WHY this multi-layered, multi-themed, cinematic think-piece might very well be the new litmus test for movie goers.
And be sure to stick around until the end when Cupcake gives HIS film recommendation for the biggest acting/performance swing of Tom Cruise’s career….and it ain’t Tropic Thunder, Magnolia, or Vanilla Sky!
