ABOUT THIS EPISODE
What if your best brand idea is the one that feels a little… terrifying?
If your brand messaging feels like a slightly different version of what everyone else in your industry is already saying, we have a problem.
Because the brands that become unforgettable aren't built by asking, “What's realistic?” They're built by asking, “What do I actually want to create?”
Welcome to Part One of Make Them See It, a three-part messaging audio workshop all about making the thing inside your head so clear that your audience can actually SEE it, understand it, and want in. This is for the person who they are doing something that is BIG.
When you think about what you are doing, you feel that sweaty feeling and you're thinking, "I don't know if they're gonna get it. No one's ever done this before."
And you're thinking to yourself, " how are people gonna see it? How are people going to take my messaging, digest it, and actually take action?"
And the idea is if you can make this part happen, if you can make them see it, if you can express it in a way that other people know what the heck you're trying to say, then you will be on a whole new level of founder. This is part one of this workshop series on how to get your audience to SEE it, understand it and want in.
In this episode, we're talking about:
✨ Why you should stop letting someone else's version of “realistic” dictate what you build
✨ Why bragging about what you're genuinely incredible at is essential to strong brand messaging
✨ How to figure out what you're actually the best at — and start saying it with conviction
✨ Why your most monetizable thought isn't necessarily your expertise, offer, or differentiation… it's your point of view
✨ How to find the beliefs, narratives, and industry “rules” you're ready to dismantle
✨ Why understanding the status quo is essential before you can actually innovate
✨ The Keep, Kill, Create exercise for finding opportunities to make your brand voice and positioning more distinct
✨ How creating something that feels scary to your non-ideal client can actually make your positioning stronger
Your homework:
I want you to ask yourself:
What do I dislike about the way things are?
What is something people are accepting that I refuse to accept?
Which beliefs, processes, or outcomes do I want to pull apart?
Which narrative needs to stop existing?
Where am I very left of the status quo?
Then take everything you've got and figure out:
What do I KEEP?
What do I KILL?
What do I CREATE?
Because your point of view is your entire stance on your industry and your place within it.
And when you can articulate that point of view? That's when your brand voice, brand messaging, and positioning start becoming unmistakably yours.
This is your permission slip to think bigger, brag louder, and stop building the slightly-more-interesting version of something that already exists.
Go build the weird thing.
And if it scares your non-ideal clients a little? Even better.
Want to keep going?
This is only Part One of Make Them See It.
Part Two gets into getting clear on what you're actually looking to build and, more importantly, how to articulate it through your messaging.
