False prophets and questionable prophetic teachings continue to influence parts of the Charismatic and New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) movement, but is the popular teaching of a coming “wealth transfer” or “wealth shift” actually biblical? In this video, we examine teachings from Shawn Bolz and Joseph Z and compare their claims about supernatural wealth transfers with Scripture. We look at Proverbs 13:22, Israel receiving silver and gold during the Exodus, warnings about false prophets, and why Old Testament events cannot automatically be turned into promises for the New Testament Church.What does the New Testament actually teach about money, prosperity, and wealth? We examine the teachings of Jesus and Paul on contentment, work, stewardship, generosity, caring for those in need, and storing up treasure in heaven. Rather than chasing prophetic promises of financial breakthroughs and massive end-times wealth transfers, Christians are called to test everything, practice biblical discernment, faithfully steward what God has already entrusted to them, and keep their hope in Jesus Christ. Shawn Bolz is no longer in ministry and if Joseph Z continues to not teach sound doctrine it won't be long till he goes down the same path. The Church needs both WORD and SPIRIT—the gifts of the Holy Spirit operating within the boundaries and authority of Scripture. Right now the charismatic church is only a Spirit church and we do not teach sound doctrine.
