ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Homesickness can hit like a wave, but it rarely means only one thing. When we call every hard moment “I miss home,” we miss what’s really happening underneath: exhaustion that turns everything darker, insecurity that makes you doubt yourself, overwhelm from a packed schedule, or that sharp feeling of being the new person who doesn’t quite belong yet.
Beth talks with her daughter Mya as she prepares for college, and we get concrete about what helps when the emotions spike late at night. We walk through a practical process you can use anywhere: name the feeling, rate how intense it is, and ask the question most of us struggle to answer under stress, “What do I actually need right now?” We also use a feelings wheel to find better words than “fine” or “bad,” and we map common states to real needs like sleep, comfort, connection, reassurance, space, or simply time for the peak moment to pass.
We also make an important distinction between typical homesickness and situations where someone feels unsafe or in despair, because those require a different plan and clearer communication. And we talk about the family side of the transition too: why parents have feelings, how sharing sadness can build connection instead of burden, and how support can coexist with growing independence.
If you’re heading into a big change, listen, share this with a student or parent you care about, and subscribe for more practical therapy tools. If this helped, leave a review and tell us: what emotion shows up first when you feel “homesick”?

00:00:00.160 --> 00:00:00.959
Hey there, friend.
00:00:01.040 --> 00:00:03.120
Welcome again to Things to Learn in Therapy.
00:00:03.200 --> 00:00:03.680
I'm your host, Dr.
00:00:03.759 --> 00:00:07.599
Beth Tremell, and I am sharing the second part of the conversation with my daughter Maya.
00:00:07.759 --> 00:00:09.919
She is preparing to go to college.
00:00:10.000 --> 00:00:12.480
And in this episode, we talk about homesickness.
00:00:12.720 --> 00:00:24.320
But not only homesickness as kind of this idea of just missing your family or wanting to come home, because really homesickness might look like exhaustion.
00:00:24.480 --> 00:00:32.560
Sometimes it's loneliness, insecurity, exclusion, overwhelm, or simply just being uncomfortable, being someplace new.
00:00:32.719 --> 00:00:43.200
And so we walk through this practical process for naming what you're feeling, noticing how intense that feeling is, and asking the question that many of us struggle to answer.
00:00:43.359 --> 00:00:46.560
And that is, what do I actually need right now?
00:00:47.119 --> 00:00:56.719
We talk about uh what students may need from their parents in those difficult moments and why parents are allowed to have feelings about that transition too.
00:00:56.960 --> 00:00:58.479
Have a good time listening.
00:00:58.719 --> 00:00:59.600
Enjoy.
00:01:02.880 --> 00:01:05.439
Okay, so let's talk about homesickness again.
00:01:05.599 --> 00:01:05.840
Okay.
00:01:06.000 --> 00:01:22.000
We kind of started talking about this a little bit, and I started, I read listened to our episode from last week, and I started thinking about like trying to find clarity for the both of us about what we want the other person to do.
00:01:22.319 --> 00:01:32.239
If you're feeling really homesick or really sad, and you're like, I just need you to what?
00:01:33.519 --> 00:01:48.480
Um, I don't know because I think I said last time, like, I want you to like come visit or something, like if I'm feeling sad, but then I also like need to be like I feel like I just have to deal with it.
00:01:48.799 --> 00:01:52.879
I need to like get acclimated, and there's no way to do it.
00:01:53.200 --> 00:02:01.200
So probably in the beginning, I would just say, like, you just need to tell me, like, I'm sorry, but this is how it is, like, this is how college is.
00:02:02.239 --> 00:02:06.879
I'm probably gonna say it in like the first two days, so you're just gonna have to be like, you can do this.
00:02:07.120 --> 00:02:07.680
Yeah.
00:02:08.000 --> 00:02:19.840
So part of why I encourage parents and young people to sit down and have this talk now, is so that in that moment in the future, I can bring you back to this.
00:02:20.000 --> 00:02:24.240
In that moment in the future, you're gonna be like perhaps at the height of your emotion.
00:02:24.400 --> 00:02:37.840
You might be really frustrated with things at school, or you might feel insecure, you might feel nervous, it might be day three of your two-a-day practices, and your this practice today might have just not been a great practice.
00:02:38.080 --> 00:02:40.560
That emotion overwhelmed level 10.
00:02:40.719 --> 00:02:56.159
Yeah, I want to be able to have language that you and I both know that says, okay, but remember that day that we were recording, and I know you can do this, and you know you can do this, and this moment is gonna pass.
00:02:56.319 --> 00:02:56.879
Yeah.
00:02:57.199 --> 00:03:12.240
And then I think we also need to have a moment where you say, Yes, I know this is gonna pass, and also I need you to tag in, which might mean, hey, can you come visit and have dinner tomorrow?
00:03:12.319 --> 00:03:13.919
Or hey, can I come home?
00:03:14.080 --> 00:03:16.960
I just really need the comfort of home for just the day.
00:03:17.919 --> 00:03:25.199
I might still encourage us to have that next day happen.
00:03:25.439 --> 00:03:28.800
We're picturing that moment of overwhelmed level 10, right?
00:03:28.879 --> 00:03:32.560
Where you're like, I just need my mom right now, or I just need somebody right now.
00:03:32.800 --> 00:03:40.240
And then if we can figure out how to get you through that moment, then by the next day, I may call you and be like, hey, how are you doing today?
00:03:40.400 --> 00:03:41.759
You still want me to come?
00:03:41.919 --> 00:03:43.680
You may be like, it's fine.
00:03:43.840 --> 00:03:45.039
No, I'm okay now.
00:03:45.360 --> 00:03:58.560
Now, I want to say out loud for folks who might be really struggling, if there's ever a point where you feel unsafe in any way, that is a different conversation.
00:03:58.800 --> 00:04:09.360
If you're feeling unsafe or such a level of despair that you're like, I don't think I can make it through the night, then that's a very different part than what I'm talking about here.
00:04:09.840 --> 00:04:17.040
Because those conversations I think need to happen and need to be clearer between the parent and the child.
00:04:17.199 --> 00:04:30.160
But I think if we're talking about kind of regular homesickness kinds of things, I think we can maybe take a minute and say, okay, what is something you can do right now that might bring you some joy?
00:04:30.319 --> 00:04:32.800
What is something you can do right now that'll bring you rest?
00:04:32.959 --> 00:04:34.000
What do you think you need?
00:04:34.160 --> 00:04:41.439
I think that's going to be a question I'm going to ask you a lot is thinking about what you actually need right now.
00:04:41.759 --> 00:04:43.519
Do you need comfort?
00:04:43.680 --> 00:04:45.279
Do you need rest?
00:04:45.839 --> 00:04:47.759
Do you need space?
00:04:48.000 --> 00:04:49.759
Do you need energy?
00:04:50.000 --> 00:04:52.639
I think the sooner young people can learn that.
00:04:52.879 --> 00:04:59.519
I still have people in my therapy office sometimes that are 40 or 50 or 60 years old and they're like, I don't actually know what I need.
00:05:00.079 --> 00:05:08.800
And so I think when you're feeling those emotional states and when you're feeling those, you're having those moments, I think my question for you is going to be, what do you think you need?
00:05:08.959 --> 00:05:09.439
Yeah.
00:05:09.759 --> 00:05:12.720
And so if I fast forward you to that moment, right?
00:05:12.800 --> 00:05:25.120
You were looking at your schedule, she turned around her calendar and it was just like filled with things, you know, it was like team lunch and you know, practice and then lifting and all these things, right?
00:05:25.439 --> 00:05:26.560
Which all are good.
00:05:26.720 --> 00:05:28.000
Yeah, all very good.
00:05:28.160 --> 00:05:31.600
So fast forward to day four of that.
00:05:31.759 --> 00:05:32.079
Okay.
00:05:32.319 --> 00:05:35.839
And let's say you're still working out the mattress.
00:05:36.079 --> 00:05:36.639
Oh, yeah.
00:05:37.120 --> 00:05:39.279
Maybe it's a new situation.
00:05:39.519 --> 00:05:47.839
Maybe there was a, you know, people on campus late at night, they woke you up in the middle of the night, had trouble going back to sleep, picturing it.
00:05:48.560 --> 00:05:49.040
Uh-huh.
00:05:49.680 --> 00:05:59.600
So it's 11 o'clock at night, because usually emotions are harder at night, less hard in the morning, darkness at the nighttime.
00:05:59.839 --> 00:06:00.079
Okay.
00:06:00.639 --> 00:06:01.600
What are you feeling?
00:06:01.759 --> 00:06:03.920
If you just sort of picture that in your mind.
00:06:04.639 --> 00:06:09.759
Probably like I just think being tired also just makes everything terrible.
00:06:09.839 --> 00:06:15.920
Like, just like emphasizes if you're feeling sad or homesick or like angry, it just like makes it all worse.
00:06:16.000 --> 00:06:26.160
So I'd probably be really tired physically and mentally because of all of what's going on in my head, also.
00:06:27.360 --> 00:06:31.120
Um sorry, asking like what I would need in that moment.
00:06:31.360 --> 00:06:35.680
Well, I'm going to, but first I want to know, like, let's just put a number to it, right?
00:06:35.759 --> 00:06:41.120
So you're like, I'm a physical tired level probably physically level A, I'd say.
00:06:41.360 --> 00:06:41.600
Okay.
00:06:41.759 --> 00:06:44.240
And a mental tired level six.
00:06:44.480 --> 00:06:45.040
Level six.
00:06:45.279 --> 00:06:48.560
If I hadn't slept, probably like seven or eight.
00:06:48.879 --> 00:06:51.040
Maybe not eight, probably like six or seven.
00:06:51.439 --> 00:06:51.680
Okay.
00:06:52.079 --> 00:06:52.800
We're up there.
00:06:52.959 --> 00:06:55.519
What other things are you feeling besides tired?
00:06:55.839 --> 00:06:59.920
Um, probably like, how am I gonna do this?
00:07:00.160 --> 00:07:01.199
How am I gonna keep on?
00:07:01.360 --> 00:07:02.399
So, like doubtful.
00:07:02.560 --> 00:07:03.680
Yeah, that's a great word.
00:07:03.920 --> 00:07:07.360
Doubtful level uh like five.
00:07:07.600 --> 00:07:09.199
Okay, I don't know.
00:07:09.279 --> 00:07:13.680
I think it'll be hard being a freshman again and not having done all this stuff.
00:07:13.839 --> 00:07:19.199
It's not doubtful, but maybe like not embarrassed, but like something like that.
00:07:19.360 --> 00:07:24.160
I'm not as good as everyone, like I'm not as prepared as everyone, like like insecure, yeah.
00:07:24.319 --> 00:07:24.720
That's good.
00:07:24.879 --> 00:07:28.240
Insecure, maybe insecure level, like five, two.
00:07:28.560 --> 00:07:28.959
Uh-huh.
00:07:29.199 --> 00:07:36.720
Okay, so you have all these emotions, pull up on your device the feelings wheel.
00:07:37.360 --> 00:07:37.839
OMG.
00:07:38.079 --> 00:07:38.879
OMG.
00:07:38.959 --> 00:07:40.480
I know she loves this.
00:07:40.800 --> 00:07:50.000
I talk about the feelings wheel a lot, actually, because the feelings wheel gives you like just pull up one of those images.
00:07:50.560 --> 00:07:57.279
If you zoom in, it starts to show some words that you're like, oh, there's the word I was looking for.
00:07:57.759 --> 00:08:02.079
So I gave you the word insecure, and you were like, Yes.
00:08:02.639 --> 00:08:06.879
When you think about that moment, are there other things that you're like, I might be feeling?
00:08:07.199 --> 00:08:09.040
I mean, overwhelmed, definitely.
00:08:09.839 --> 00:08:10.399
Yeah.
00:08:10.720 --> 00:08:12.160
Maybe excluded.
00:08:12.399 --> 00:08:12.879
Sure.
00:08:13.199 --> 00:08:16.319
Just because new people, team that's already been together.
00:08:16.560 --> 00:08:17.199
Yeah.
00:08:17.680 --> 00:08:22.560
Um, maybe like this one, it's it says helpless.
00:08:22.639 --> 00:08:24.240
I feel like that's a little dramatic.
00:08:24.399 --> 00:08:27.199
Not having my mom is like, I feel a little bit helpless.
00:08:27.600 --> 00:08:28.240
Yeah.
00:08:28.800 --> 00:08:30.399
Okay, I love this.
00:08:30.639 --> 00:08:40.480
And I think sometimes when we're not used to talking about emotions, I don't know, that feels like that feels like a lot, but that does feel kind of true to what it is, you know.
00:08:40.639 --> 00:08:42.000
I just think we're not used to it.
00:08:42.240 --> 00:08:44.960
So, okay, we're gonna pick two of those words, right?
00:08:45.120 --> 00:08:47.120
And then we're gonna apply this kind of framework.
00:08:47.200 --> 00:08:50.320
And this is taking all of this is gonna happen much faster.
00:08:50.559 --> 00:08:53.519
The more practice you get at it, it'll happen faster.
00:08:53.679 --> 00:08:58.559
But I think to walk through this process, this is what I would do for people who came to see me in therapy.
00:08:58.639 --> 00:09:01.120
I'd say, okay, well, get out the feelings we all and tell me what it is.
00:09:01.200 --> 00:09:03.600
Like you are the only person who knows.
00:09:03.759 --> 00:09:10.960
I can hear your words and kind of apply something like insecure, but you're the only one who kind of really knows what those words mean.
00:09:11.120 --> 00:09:15.360
So let's say you're coming home from practice and you're an insecure level eight.
00:09:16.080 --> 00:09:21.519
What would you need to address the insecurity?
00:09:21.919 --> 00:09:24.799
Um from you or just like in general.
00:09:25.440 --> 00:09:25.919
Yeah.
00:09:26.159 --> 00:09:29.919
I think from me is obviously an important part of our relationship.
00:09:30.159 --> 00:09:41.840
But also it's if I'm in a meeting or something or I can't answer the phone or I can't be there, what just at the heart of like when you're feeling insecure, what is it that you feel like you need?
00:09:42.320 --> 00:09:50.320
Well, I feel like if I was insecure, I would just need like reminders of what is really true.
00:09:50.559 --> 00:09:50.960
Yeah.
00:09:51.279 --> 00:09:57.279
But also I think uh bottom line, I would just need time until the next day when I feel better.
00:09:57.440 --> 00:09:57.759
Yeah.
00:09:58.080 --> 00:10:01.279
Well, I think this is beautiful that you already know this about yourself.
00:10:01.440 --> 00:10:03.120
I kind of need some reminders.
00:10:03.360 --> 00:10:14.080
And so if you're like, hey, I am just not feeling well, I'm not feeling super confident right now, I could just use a couple of reminders.
00:10:15.039 --> 00:10:28.960
Or if those external reminders aren't available to you, like you couldn't call me or you couldn't call dad or you couldn't call, you know, a friend or somebody who knows you and loves you, maybe your next statement to you is, I know these things about myself are true.
00:10:29.759 --> 00:10:31.919
And I also know that I just need time.
00:10:32.320 --> 00:10:39.759
And so when there are situations where you just need time, then your next best step is redirection.
00:10:40.000 --> 00:10:40.240
Yeah.
00:10:40.399 --> 00:10:44.480
So it's like you sitting in your room and stewing about practice.
00:10:44.639 --> 00:10:45.360
Yeah, that's true.
00:10:45.519 --> 00:10:47.360
It's gonna be the opposite of what you need.
00:10:47.600 --> 00:10:55.679
So maybe that's going out and taking a walk and putting your AirPods in and putting on music that you really like, just redirecting out of that mindset.
00:10:55.840 --> 00:10:56.559
Yeah, right?
00:10:56.799 --> 00:10:57.279
That is true.
00:10:57.440 --> 00:10:58.639
Because I tend to do that sometimes.
00:10:58.720 --> 00:11:04.480
Like when I feel sad, I just like could probably avoid feeling sad if I were just like get up.
00:11:04.639 --> 00:11:05.120
Yeah.
00:11:05.519 --> 00:11:07.200
But sulk in it a little bit.
00:11:07.440 --> 00:11:19.279
And I don't, I don't want to avoid every negative feeling, but I also know that during transition times in life when there's already a lot going on, it is a lot to ask.
00:11:19.440 --> 00:11:22.879
To be like, well, just sit in your sadness and feel it, you know.
00:11:23.039 --> 00:11:30.320
It's like, well, you gotta sit in sadness, you gotta sit with a roommate, you gotta transition into all these new colleges and classes.
00:11:30.399 --> 00:11:33.360
And it, I mean, it's that's a lot to kind of sit in.
00:11:33.440 --> 00:11:41.600
I don't want you to just avoid all negative feelings, but I think you also learn to be like, that really sucked, and feeling insecure sucks.
00:11:41.840 --> 00:11:44.159
And also, what am I gonna do about it?
00:11:44.639 --> 00:11:50.639
And what is this insecurity real or is this just my like perception right now?
00:11:50.879 --> 00:11:55.600
If it's like, yeah, you're not playing well, then what do you need then?
00:11:56.159 --> 00:12:01.600
Probably if I'm really just not playing well, then I feel like I could accept that.
00:12:01.679 --> 00:12:07.840
Like, if I seriously was like, if I'm like, she's better than me, then I'm just like, I just need to work harder.
00:12:07.919 --> 00:12:08.799
Yeah, I just know that.
00:12:09.039 --> 00:12:11.360
Yeah, I just need to work harder, right?
00:12:11.440 --> 00:12:14.320
Like, if I'm not playing well, I just need to work harder.
00:12:14.559 --> 00:12:21.840
If I'm just having this moment of insecurity, but it it actually wasn't related to my performance, then this is a mental part.
00:12:21.919 --> 00:12:22.159
Yeah.
00:12:22.320 --> 00:12:34.879
So I think that might be another thing to think through is, you know, is this actually physically something that matters, or is this more just like I am like my anxiety, my homesickness, my emotion is just sort of taking over?
00:12:35.519 --> 00:12:36.080
Yeah.
00:12:36.320 --> 00:12:39.200
Okay, so that's insecurity.
00:12:39.519 --> 00:12:49.200
Let's say you're talking and you're like, I am physically tired, level eight, and I say, What do you think you need?
00:12:50.000 --> 00:12:51.200
Sleep, probably.
00:12:51.440 --> 00:12:59.759
I mean, we're saying these things out loud, and it's like this feels obvious, but I'm like, this is at the heart of like quote self-care.
00:13:00.080 --> 00:13:00.320
Right?
00:13:00.399 --> 00:13:02.399
People are like, hashtag self-care.
00:13:02.480 --> 00:13:07.919
I'm gonna go get ice cream and have my yeah, it's like you're not actually paying attention to what you need.
00:13:08.480 --> 00:13:11.440
Self-care is like, what do you need?
00:13:11.679 --> 00:13:18.320
Yeah, and if you're not slowing down to think about how am I feeling, you're not gonna be able to address the need.
00:13:18.480 --> 00:13:23.919
So if you're feeling excluded, level six, what do you need?
00:13:24.559 --> 00:13:25.759
To be with people.
00:13:26.080 --> 00:13:27.759
I want to feel connected, right?
00:13:27.840 --> 00:13:28.559
Exactly, right?
00:13:28.639 --> 00:13:33.519
So I think it starts with having this awareness of saying, this is how I'm feeling.
00:13:33.759 --> 00:13:36.480
And so what is it that I need right now?
00:13:36.720 --> 00:13:45.039
And so, you know, if that means reaching out to a friend, and it doesn't have to be people on the team, it can just be, I just want to be connected to someone.
00:13:45.200 --> 00:13:47.759
I don't want to feel alone, I don't want to feel lonely.
00:13:47.919 --> 00:13:57.919
And so I think as you're starting to think about what some of these situations are that are gonna tie into your homesickness, it's not just I miss my family.
00:13:58.159 --> 00:14:01.039
Some of it is I'm uncomfortable.
00:14:01.200 --> 00:14:01.679
Yeah.
00:14:01.919 --> 00:14:04.000
And there's a lot of reasons why you are.
00:14:04.240 --> 00:14:12.799
I just think sometimes people think homesickness is always just I miss home, but there are people that don't like to be at home who get homesick.
00:14:12.960 --> 00:14:13.279
Yeah.
00:14:13.519 --> 00:14:16.159
So I talked about this with Coach Bloom one time.
00:14:16.240 --> 00:14:22.080
She was like, I grew up in Muncie and then I went to Bowl State and I was homesick.
00:14:22.240 --> 00:14:24.879
And it's like you are home, but it's like not the same.
00:14:25.120 --> 00:14:25.440
Yeah.
00:14:25.600 --> 00:14:27.120
I've that's always stuff like me.
00:14:27.200 --> 00:14:31.279
Like homesickness is just like being somewhere different.
00:14:31.679 --> 00:14:35.120
Being somewhere different, experiencing something different, right?
00:14:35.279 --> 00:14:37.679
Homesickness can come in a lot of different changes.
00:14:37.759 --> 00:14:44.080
And so I just think thinking more broadly that it's not just oh, I'm feeling homesick, so I should go home.
00:14:44.399 --> 00:14:44.720
Yeah.
00:14:45.679 --> 00:14:48.240
I'm feeling homesick, what are the feelings?
00:14:48.320 --> 00:14:49.519
And then what do I need?
00:14:50.240 --> 00:14:51.120
Okay, good.
00:14:52.159 --> 00:14:58.879
So my question for you is what do you want me to do when I feel sad?
00:14:59.440 --> 00:15:00.159
Just call me.
00:15:00.799 --> 00:15:01.360
I know.
00:15:01.600 --> 00:15:03.360
Is that gonna make you more sad though?
00:15:03.840 --> 00:15:09.519
No, if it'll make you feel better, then probably it won't make you more sad because I'll be like, this is helping her.
00:15:10.000 --> 00:15:10.320
Yeah.
00:15:10.879 --> 00:15:30.720
It's so interesting because, and I say this, you know, as she and I have talked about some things like this, but I think sometimes as parents, we forget that as our kids are getting older, that it matters to them to know that we have feelings too.
00:15:31.039 --> 00:15:39.039
Yeah, I don't want to vomit all of my feelings onto you, but I think sometimes it's okay to be like, I'm just sad you're not here.
00:15:39.120 --> 00:15:40.720
I just miss you being here.
00:15:41.279 --> 00:15:57.440
And I think sometimes allowing your child to love you through some of that, to support you through some of that, might also remind them that parents aren't perfect either.
00:15:57.679 --> 00:15:58.320
Yeah.
00:15:58.720 --> 00:16:10.559
This is reminding me of um like the whole thing with your legs when you were like, I don't want to tell you this because it feels like I don't want to burden you or whatever.
00:16:10.720 --> 00:16:14.159
I don't know if that's what you thought, but that's what I thought you thought.
00:16:14.480 --> 00:16:22.480
When really I think that it helped you that like I didn't do anything, but like just that I knew, and I was just like, Yeah, that actually sucks.
00:16:22.799 --> 00:16:27.759
In this situation, you'd probably be like, I miss you, and I wish you were here, and I'd be like, Yeah, same.
00:16:27.919 --> 00:16:32.240
And that probably is just like all we can do, but that might make you feel better.
00:16:32.559 --> 00:16:46.879
I mean, I think it will, and I think that that is an interesting part of what you know, going through chronic illness for you know, 10 or 12 years or something, felt like forever.
00:16:47.200 --> 00:16:49.440
Um, it really taught me a lot.
00:16:49.519 --> 00:16:56.399
I mean, it taught me a lot in a lot of ways, but that was one way I was kind of raised in a family where we didn't want to burden people.
00:16:56.960 --> 00:17:02.399
And it felt like I didn't want to burden people with like kind of my daily suffering.
00:17:02.559 --> 00:17:08.319
And I think it is one thing that you taught me of the thing that I preach to other people, right?
00:17:08.400 --> 00:17:10.799
That like at least you don't have to suffer alone.
00:17:10.960 --> 00:17:16.079
Yeah, is the very thing that I like needed this experience to learn on my own.
00:17:16.400 --> 00:17:21.440
And so I think in some ways that might be kind of a parallel to what we're talking about here.
00:17:21.599 --> 00:17:22.000
Yeah.
00:17:22.319 --> 00:17:22.799
All right.
00:17:22.960 --> 00:17:27.200
So homesickness does not always mean that you need to go home.
00:17:27.440 --> 00:17:36.880
It may mean you need sleep, comfort, reassurance, connection, space, or simply enough time for an intense moment to pass.
00:17:37.839 --> 00:17:43.680
The more accurately we can name what we are feeling, the more clearly we can identify what might actually help.
00:17:43.839 --> 00:17:48.640
And sometimes sharing our sadness with the people who love us doesn't actually bring them.
00:17:48.799 --> 00:17:51.359
It simply means that we don't have to carry it alone.
00:17:51.599 --> 00:18:02.720
In the next part of our conversation, mine I talk about friendship changes, the guilt that can come with building a new life and some practical ways to prepare for the academic side of college.
00:18:03.119 --> 00:18:06.480
Until next time, friends, stay safe, stay well, and ciao.
