John: All right, ladies and gentlemen, my name is John Roshimeza. This is the Counter-Revolution podcast. Today, I wanted to react to a video that I saw done by the Heritage Foundation. It is titled on YouTube Radical Shift Inside the Smithsonian's Ideological Takeover. So unless... You haven't been paying attention. The Smithsonian has been in the news because the president is trying to do something to clean house over there. It is kind of propped up by the government by and large, which means it's propped up by taxpayer dollars. So the president can do something about it. It is over there in Washington, D.C. And it's a national museum. And. I would actually point out here that I've only been to a limited amount, a very limited amount of the Smithsonian. And now that I think about it, I've only walked, always walked past. So I think maybe we should correct that. But after this video, I don't know. I'm not sure if that's something we want to do anyway. Whatever the case may be, this is part of my effort, my mission. which is to redeem and reclaim education as a ministry of the family and the local church. This is because God did not give any plant based to the local church. And again, My hope is to continue to make the case that Education is too important. a project is too sacred a project to live in the hands of unbelievers, especially the education of young people. Now, usually when you talk about education, people focus on college, higher education. And this is because it's almost like the debate has been largely been settled when it comes to K through 12. And why not? Upwards of 80 plus percent of people in this country put their children in public school systems, including Christians. Very large numbers of Christians, a super majority, here in America and around the world, put their children in the government's institutions. Unless, in many cases, if they find themselves in a country such as an Islamic state, that has those kind of schools, the madrasas. And so now parents all of a sudden, we can't put our children there because they're going to be taught shereeloo. Now these parents do not have a problem putting their kids in a secular humanist institution because they have been convinced that the secular humanist institution is neutral. And so they can supplement WorldView at home while getting a neutral education. at the schoolhouse. And so the goal, the mission is to continue to debank that myth, continue to present information, to present arguments, to show, to present evidence from just the results in the culture what's happening, but also philosophically and theologically that This is happening in the culture because we shouldn't have done this. This is happening in the church because we shouldn't have done this. By the time kids get to college, it's too late. And the enemies of God know this. The enemies of God know if we can train your kids since they're six years old, if you give them to us. We will make sure that if for some reason the grow up to insist on being a culturally conservative or Christian, they will not have a very solid foundation to stand on. And by the time they get to college, that's very easy for the professors and their fellow students to poke holes in their foundation. This is why a lot of times when these kids that grow up in church that went to all the youth camps and youth nights, when they get to college their first year, they come back talking nonsense. But again. My goal is to present information, to present arguments and what's happening out there. But make no mistake, my mission remains focused on education, specifically K through 12. Because I believe with all my heart that education is discipleship no matter who's doing it. But this is part of an initiative that intends to further the advancement of a Christian, of a conservative Christian counter-revolution through Christian home, Christian and home education in response to the current secular humanist revolution that has taken over society in our day. So the reason I'm reacting to the video I'm about to react to is to show how this secular humanist revolution, which is a Marxist revolution, neo-Marxist, cultural Marxist, whatever you want to call it, communist revolution, has taken over society. again. these institutions. have been captured on purpose by design under the guise of academic freedom, free speech, and all these other things, you now have these institutions completely captured. And when you're a kid, it is at a certain stage in school. they visit the Smithsonian or they receive information, curriculum and other things from the Smithsonian. especially if you put them in a government school system. This is who's largely informing the history curriculums. So let's see what's going on over there. And our friend Mike Gonzalez from the Heritage Foundation will help us through this very interesting discussion. The National Museum of American History doesn't have a single major exhibit dedicated to George Washington or Thomas Jefferson or Alexander Hamilton or any of founding fathers. Here's what I believe Mike Gonzalez. I don't know why he would lie about something like that. And the Heritage Foundation. But that's just insane, right? For a national museum of a country like this one. to not have like that just makes that's bold. That's really, really bold. Let's let's run it back again. The National Museum of American History doesn't have a single major exhibit dedicated to George Washington or Thomas Jefferson or Alexander Hamilton or any of the founding fathers. Here's what it does have. Warification of gender transition in exhibits meant for children, a sadomasochistic crutch harness, radical race politics, praise for illegal immigration and work propaganda of all kinds. normal Americans are looking at this and saying, how did this happen? How did this happen? Right. How does a national museum, a museum that not only is propped up by taxpayers. to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars. but that is in Front Street, in the middle of Washington, D.C. How does that institution get so bold as to put that nonsense as the most important exhibits? Anyway, we obviously, we know how this happened, but let's see it unfold in this video. Thanks. National museums exist for a particular purpose. They are there to collect, curate, and transmit to future generations national heritage and culture history. The Smithsonian is really 21 museums. And it's more than that. It's libraries, research halls, the National Zoo. It's the largest museum complex in the world. It takes in about 20 million visitors a year and an additional 20 million more through educational material. So just imagine all these millions of people. children, adults, parents, grandparents, everyone from all over the world. And again, it goes without saying, it's a no brainer that the people that are frequent there are the people who are in school. And so what a great opportunity to to emphasize a certain narrative, right? It's like Hollywood. Just think about it. These are powerful institutions. When they say they would march through the institution, this, no mistake, the Smithsonian is an institution of education. That's why we're talking about it. Although when you talk about education, especially if you see education as discipleship, you can talk about anything. And so let's go. and an additional 20 million more through educational material. Congress annually appropriates $1.08 billion, billion with a B, for the Smithsonian. That accounts for 63 % of the Smithsonian's funding. Like all national museums, and nine of the 21 museums have the word national in it. If we're talking about the National Museum of American History, the original mission of this museum was, as Lyndon B. Johnson said, was to foster patriotism and knowledge of America. Today, it does the opposite. The exact opposite. And ladies and gentlemen, this is how they pitched the government school system as well. The government school system was supposed to foster patriotism, was supposed to create citizens that are well-rounded, virtuous citizens. That love their country, have respectful leadership, and that are prepared to serve as productive members of society. in whatever station they find themselves. For the good of the country. Again, that's what was pitched. If you look at Horace Mann, this is what he was selling. But the system ended up. doing the exact opposite as Mike Gonzalez is talking about the Smithsonian as well. The system ends up doing the exact opposite because it's really an illegitimate. The government was never assigned this. And of course, the radicals saw an opportunity again. the doors were open for them. And they went in. And this is their... They're institutions now. You pay for them and they use them as weapons against you. The entire leadership of the Smithsonian Institution is very woke. It's very committed to the misuse of the Smithsonian Institution as an agent of political change. Monty Bunch has been the secretary of the Smithsonian Institution, that is the top honcho since 2019. Upon becoming secretary of the Smithsonian, he tied the Smithsonian to the 1619 project. And the 1619 project has been rejected and decried. by historians of both the left and the right. It's filled with inaccuracies. It's filled with intentional inaccuracies. It's meant to recast American history, to reframe it. In the lead up to 2020, he also allies himself with the Black Lives Matter organization. He says that actually they should be thinking more about political change in all of their riots in 2020. He sent out curators from, I think, six of the museums to collect the trash they left behind. as an artifact, he thinks he's a historic artifacts that need to be collected and saved for posterity. The. Yes, because because it ultimately it's kind of a religion. So you have to create a monument for it. A monument of remembrance. Twenty twenty was that significant. And, you know, I actually agree. I don't know if I would have sent someone to pick up trash. know postmodernists and deconstructionists pick up trash and exhibit in museum as art. you know, there's that. It was in 2020 that the Smithsonian, put out this, this, this graphic talking about whiteness, the aspects and assumptions of whiteness and white culture in the United States. Again, the Smithsonian put this out. Okay. again, are assumptions, aspects and assumptions of whiteness. They generated so much backlash from blacks and black professionals and intellectuals that they had to take this down. Okay? Rugged individualism is a white thing. Family structure, Nuclear family, father, mother, 2.3 children is a white thing. Husband is the breadwinner and head of household. That's a white thing, okay? The wife is a homemaker, subordinate to the husband. That's a white thing. Children should have their own rooms and be independent. That's a white thing. Okay, if your children... want to their own rooms in their own space, especially when they're up a little bit, teenagers and all that. That's a white thing. Tell me this is not insane. Tell me this is not laughable. Emphasis on the scientific method. This is a white thing. Being objective, rational, linear thinking, cause and effect, relationships, quantitative emphasis. This is a white thing. Well, what do you think about black people? You asked me or blackness is the opposite of this. The absence of objective and rational linear thinking. That's what they're saying. History. OK, this would explain to you what they're doing with the Smithsonian in the video that we're currently watching. History is based on Northern European immigrants experience in the United States. Heavy focus on British Empire. the primary, the primacy of Western Greek, Roman and Judeo-Christian tradition. Protestant work ethic. It's a white thing. Hard work is the key to success. That's a white thing. Are you kidding me? Work before play. Basically, delayed gratification. If you didn't meet your goals, you didn't work hard enough. Religion. Christianity is the norm for white people. It's a white thing. Anything other than Judeo-Christian tradition is foreign. That's a white thing. No tolerance for deviation from single-god concept. That's a white thing. These are assumptions. are, what did he say? They say up here, these are aspects and assumptions of whiteness and white culture in the United States. This is amazing. Okay. Follow rigid time schedules, right? If you like to be on time, that's a white thing. Time viewed as a commodity. That's a white thing. Justice based on English common law. English is a white, white English, protect property and entitlements. Right. Never mind that everyone is born with this. This is mine. Mine. I don't have to teach my one year old this. He knows about protecting private property. That's what that's a that's a white thing. So why am I pointing this out? Okay, this again, this was posted by the National Museum of African American History and Culture, the Smithsonian. Okay. Again, pointing this out to say the Smithsonian is very much invested in the demise of this country, this culture. Because remember, once you say it's whiteness in white culture, You're not saying this is a good thing. They're not saying this is a whiteness and white culture and we love it. These are good qualities and we want to embrace them anyway as black people. No, they're saying because remember the Black Lives Matter at the same time came out with their list of things saying how they would abolish a bunch of all basically almost all of this. So if he's aligning with Black Lives Matter and releasing something, allowing something like this to come out, he is signalling that we're going after this. And if you think about it from a kind of a queer theory perspective, this is normal stuff. And queer theory seeks to transgress against normalcy, against normal. Okay. In the sense of, of, of sexuality, it's, they call it hetero normativity. So they're going up against what is considered traditional and normal in order to introduce the Abnormal. What was once unacceptable is going to be acceptable. Now, the Bible has a name for it. This is perversion. This is calling good evil and evil good. But again, this is the Smithsonian for you. So let's continue with our brother Mike Gonzalez here. See what he has to say. The director of the museum right now, Anthea Harding, she says the National Museum of American History is a tool for social change. Hey now, that's CriticalPedagogy 101. They believe that education is a tool. Education is a tool for social change. history, as far as she's concerned, as a critical pedagogue, which is critical theories, educational arm, critical theory is neo-Marxism or cultural Marxism as Mike Gonzalez calls it. So she says history for me is a prime tool. of social justice. Right. So as far as she's concerned, as a director, she's going to use history to bring about social justice. And Christians ought to stop here and remember that there's a big difference between social justice and biblical justice. OK. Again, I know there are Christians who would like us to believe that You know, you can have a Christian or biblical social justice. Please. I know what you mean, but you're confusing categories. Social justice means something specific. It's like social and emotional learning. These mean something specific. The authors meant something. the architects of it designed it for something. So when you try to Christianize it, you're just confusing, bringing confusion, especially when you don't have to Christianize it. Biblical justice is enough and it's better and it's truth and it's of God. Social justice on the other hand, is a tipping of the scales in an unjust manner. and biblical. All right. Critical pedagogues. Museum of American History is a tool for social change. Not in it are major exhibits on any of the main founders, George Washington, Jefferson, Hamilton. There's an exhibit on Franklin and it tell you extensively about the slave that he owned and about how the slaves may have been responsible for his achievements. So what does this museum have? It's got exhibits about how illegal immigrants should be given the right to vote, exhibit for girls that features drag queens, transgenderism and support for abortion. The museum produces race-based programming and materials. It partners with the Southern Poverty Law Center. Yes, the same SPLC that has been investigated by Congress for committing illegal acts. It calls Christopher Columbus the man who discovers the new world. It calls Columbus a murderer, a slaver, a killer, a thief. The museum has also removed traditional Flag Day celebrations. plays them with pride month programming. The National Museum of American History teaches millions of annual visitors and the people who are reached through the educational material that American history and American heritage has something to be embarrassed about, something to be ashamed of, and that America is structurally oppressive or systemically racist or both. When you have something that is structurally oppressive or systemically racist, the only logical conclusion is you need to get rid of all the structures and the systems. need systemic change. And that is what I think the people who have taken over the museum intend to do with it. is a term so often used to describe our nation and those who have shaped it. American exceptionalism. Zoram Abdiani, the mayor of New York, our biggest city, is not a Democrat. This is a man who ran as a Democrat who calls himself a democratic socialist who is actually a communist. He says he wants to... Well, he is a Democrat. These are the Democrats of today. We can't not call him a Democrat. I know what Mike is doing is trying to create a distinction between modern Democrats and their radical offsprings. But no, these are the Democrats. The Democratic Party. liberals, social liberals, had to keep their doors open to Progressives are Marxists, they're neo-Marxists. the progressives of today are the radicals. Basically, communist USA, the communists of America, if you will, back in those days, went underground. the McCarthy era and when it was not cool to be a communist, Many of them just went underground, went into the institutions of usually of higher education and media and there. Procreate it. And so these are their offspring. They went into the Democratic Party. They went into very prominent positions. Again, we're talking about one the museum, the National Museum. But this is them and their Democrats. They are, you know, people like like Bernie Sanders and. Elizabeth Warren and are not able to come out and really say who they are. But their children are and they're saying, no, this is who we are and you're either with us or you're against us. And if you're against us, then yeah, line up. seized the means of production. He says he wants to property from landlords. He says he wants the warm embrace of collectivism for New York. How do we get a man like that? I don't mean to just pick him on down here, although I do. But I mean also Katie Wilson, the mayor of Seattle, Graham Plattner, the self-confessed communist with the Nazi tattoo. How do people vote for this thing? Well, because our institutions have been seized by men and women. who actually believe in this Marxist nightmare. Our cultural institutions, whether K-12, higher ed, or with the museums, have been captured by this ideology. Smithsonian has been captured by cultural Marxism. We are told that America is... This is another way saying the barbarians are inside the gates. take an oath of citizenship, we take an oath of allegiance and in that oath, are vowing to defend the United States Constitution from enemies within and enemies without. Basically, enemies inside and external enemies that are coming from the outside to attack from the outside. These are the enemies from within. These people are enemies of the United States Constitution. Again, these are the children of yesterday's radicals, and they are now willing to stay quiet about their radicalism and their goals. They are tired with, you know, flying under the radar. They want to make themselves known. And it's too late for Democrats. They can't get rid of them. It's going to be very difficult to get rid of them. But here's another thing. Socialists of America, Democratic Socialists of America, they actually are, in fact, enemies of the United States Constitution. Because one of their proposal is to get rid of the United States Senate. Abolish the Senate. True. Okay, replace the presidency and Supreme Court as we now know them. Yep. The Senate is a very undemocratic institution. I talked a bit about democracy, small d democracy, and that's really important to us. We want democratic representation of all people who live in this country. But you cannot get rid of the United States Senate. unless you get rid of the United States Constitution as it is. And that's what they want. Because remember, it's all whiteness, it's all unjust, evil, and has got to go. So here we are. We are told that America is exceptional because we are richer, stronger, more powerful than everyone else. Nobody believes that. Nobody who talks seriously about American exceptionalism believes that we're exceptional because of our power and wealth. We believe that we're powerful and wealthy. Well, they believe that. I mean, all the respects are... You can say nobody believes that. They believe that. And the people that he's talking to... Believe that. Zoran Mandami is talking to two different people. People who are ideologues and who are with him and people who have been trained by these institutions and who are unable to think for themselves. People who are emotional, who thinks he knows what he's doing, but he believes that. Because of the sources of our exceptionalism, and they are really natural rights, which are nowhere to be found in the history museum. Nobody believes that. Nobody who talks seriously about American exceptionalism believes that we're exceptional because of our power and wealth. We believe that we're powerful and wealthy because of the sources of our exceptionalism and they are really natural rights, which are nowhere to be found in the history museum, such as life, the right to property, the right to defend himself. These are all natural rights. That's what makes America exceptional. No other country based their legitimacy, their sovereignty on natural rights. None of them base their institutions and their founding documents on natural rights. Only we do. That's what makes America exceptional. Millions and millions, well over a hundred million immigrants from all over the world. have flocked to the United States because it's a nation conceived in liberty. Nobody has taught Zura Mamdani this. was so one of the problems that we're now beginning to realize and we're you know, we have to talk about even more is that the nation was conceived in liberty. And yes, we are exceptional. But what a lot of people, including even people on the right tend to leave out is the fact that we were conceived out of liberty, as he said, because of our Christian heritage, because of a Judeo-Christian foundation. And that's important because if you forget that, which is what we did, someone removed that from the conversation. And so these millions of people that are flacking to this country assumed that this is out of a vacuum and that they do not need to embrace the core tenets and they do not need to understand and assimilate into this kind of well-thinking understanding that we got here because of Christianity. Even Muslims and atheists that come here from elsewhere, they have to be assimilated with the understanding that you are signing up to be at the very least a cultural Christian. And to the degree that that's not emphasized is to the degree that eventually you lose it to a Zoran Mamdami because it's a neutral and secular public square. But as it's been established now over and over, neutral does not mean or secular does not mean the absence of religion. the job of the Smithsonian and of the college he went to and of the school that he went to. He should have learned why people think, people such as me, that America is exceptional. Because the idea that he has is completely wrong. But he's been taught to hate America. The Smithsonian teaches its visitors and the people it reaches through its educational material that America is ugly and sinful and that the sins that it committed mean that it lacks legitimacy as a society, as a country. And that is not true. That is not just a lie. It's a bio lie. And this is, by the way, what they teach in your average public school system in America. This is exactly what the history your kids are going to get. You may you may realize it at some point or you may not. But the likelihood is that the history is going to be framed. in such a way that it favors the narrative over there at the Smithsonian because many of those people there make the curriculums that you get to use. And some of those teachers, many of them were trained at these institutions. And in these institutions, you are trained from a critical pedagogy kind of perspective. And so you will find that The People's History of the United States of America by Howard Zinn is actually very prominent in a lot of these institutions, which is again, a recasting of American history. The 1619 Project, these are byproducts of Howard Zinn and many others. Howard Zinn was a committed communist. And the fact that his book is actually very prominent in American education is not only concerning, it's an indictment in itself. So this is the Smithsonian. OK, if you happen to go there with your kids, you know. Be careful. But but this is the Smith Smithsonian. Shout out again to the Heritage Foundation, Matt Gonzalez for giving us this this. This look into the the tragic tragedy that is happening there. The Trump administration is trying to clean this up and hopefully they correct some things before it's all over. But there's a lot of damage that has been done thus far. And I share all these things because I care about this a lot. And When I sit with fellow Christians, it seems to me this is not as a big deal as it should be. Again, we're getting ground. Yes, the counterrevolution has enemies as it should or else it would then be a legitimate movement. I didn't start it. I'm just coming in actually late to the party. I'm standing on very broad shoulders of people such as Alex Newman. Samuel Blumenfeld, Pastor Doug Wilson, and many others. Israel Wayne, Robert Boutens, Leah Boutens, his mother. Yeah, many, many others who have been fighting in the trenches for decades to try and sound the alarm. And yes, we're gaining, but we have to keep going. We have to keep shouting. And we have to stand guard as watchmen, yeah, to equip future generations. So my message to anyone who is thinking about getting married or you just got married and you obviously you plan on having kids or else I don't see why anybody would get married without plans of having kids. Because if you get married, you're to have sex. And if you have sex, children will come out. inevitably unless you've drunk the cultural kool-aid that is anti-children. But if you haven't and you plan on having children, please structure your life. I wish someone had told me this. I wish someone had sat down myself and my wife, Shanice, to educate us on this if you're going to get married. structure your life in such a way that you live on one income. That will allow you, one of you, to stay home with the kids. That will allow you to educate your own kids. that will allow you to prioritize this assignment. Again, too sacred an assignment for you to plan on having someone else. And of course, if you have to have someone else, it's gotta be someone whose worldview lines up with yours because education is discipleship. As a Christian, your worldview does not line up with that of the public school system because the public school system wants to be neutral. The public school system is secular under the thinking, under the guise, under the assumption that secular equals no religion. But that's not true. Secularism is every bit fundamentalist, every bit dogmatic like any other religion. And so you cannot look at the government school system as a neutral vacuum that your kids will go and learn in a neutral vacuum. That's been the lie and we're trying to debunk that. And we're also trying to emphasize that education is discipleship. which means that education is inevitably religious. You cannot do any kind of education minus religion. Again, because education is deception. plan your life in such a way that you do not have to put your kids on that bus to go to the government school system. If you're well off and you have money, you have the funds. Yes, of course you can put your kids in the local Christian school. But it's my view. that absolutely, absolutely if you can and most people can, they just don't think they can. Some people can't. But if you can, home educate. That's the message I wish I heard from the people who cared about me. Now, of course, my situation is that they didn't know better. This was not at the forefront of their head, but this is would be at the top of the things that I ask new couples, young couples as they begin to have kids. What are you going to do? And don't do it. If they tell me they're planning on doing what I just said not to do. that's all I have for this episode. Thank you so much. If you stop by and listen to me go on and on. Again, my name is Janos Chameza. Please consider subscribing to this channel, to this podcast. Share this message with others. Let's continue this conversation. I am in it for the long haul. and I hope and pray that you're going with me. Again, as always, it's for the glory of God, our Lord. Conrevolution, revolution, revelation, revelation
