ABOUT THIS EPISODE
In this episode, Tina Waldrom chats with Pastor Rob Martin about the upcoming Idea Convention, a gathering designed to put Jesus right at the heart of conversations about life, purpose, and worldview. They discuss the growing cultural ‘meaning crisis’, where materialism and the pursuit of pleasure often leave people feeling empty. Pastor Rob shares why it’s so important for Christians to be confident in the message they carry, especially when addressing life’s biggest questions. The Idea Convention will feature a range of thought-provoking speakers who will unpack why Christ offers the only lasting answer to the search for fulfilment and purpose.
The conversation also explores how events like the Idea Convention can inspire fresh approaches to evangelism. By equipping believers to engage with culture’s toughest issues, the convention aims to help Christians connect the gospel with the real concerns people face today. Whether it’s in a casual conversation with a neighbour or a public forum, the skills and insights gained can make a huge difference in sharing faith with clarity and compassion. Tina and Pastor Rob remind listeners that evangelism isn’t just about telling people the good news—it’s about showing how Jesus speaks directly into the deepest needs of our time.
