Speaker 1: The decision does project that in New Hampshire, Democratic Congressman Chris Pappas will defeat former Republican Senator John Sununu.
00:00:12
Speaker 2: We've got a long way to go.
00:00:13
Speaker 1: We do have a long way to go. But the signs that I think we can all see now are pretty clear. I mean, we mentioned earlier, not a single Democratic senator incumbent is in any trouble at all that we know of. There are always some surprises, but we haven't seen any signs of it yet.
00:00:28
Speaker 2: We look at John E. Sununu.
00:00:31
Speaker 1: As a former senator, as you just suggested, a very impressive guy. I've known him for a long time. Very, very able. Got a very good family name. Family name for sure. And the family name and his family's in good standing in the state of New Hampshire. And Chris Pappas is a competent guy, I guess. But for us to be able to call that this early is a sign.
00:00:52
Speaker 2: And not a good one.
00:00:53
Speaker 3: It's obviously a disappointing loss for our state. But I'm looking at my list here just to be a little bit of positive sunshine. Iowa, Kansas, Texas, Maine. Susan Collins has run a good race up there to the north of New Hampshire, Ohio and Alaska. to see if we can hold four of six of those, Republicans can maintain the majority in the Senate.
00:01:12
Speaker 2: So we're hopeful. You're the happy face, Bill Drew.
00:01:17
Speaker 3: It's my first day at work.
00:01:18
Speaker 4: There you go.
00:01:19
Speaker 2: I like it.
00:01:20
Speaker 4: Susan Collins is the only Republican senator in the entire.
00:01:24
Speaker 1: In all of New England.
00:01:27
Speaker 5: Oh, you just hate to see it. If you're MAGA, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the morning after. This is Dead Air brought to you by our friends and your friends at the Save America Movement, at the Save America Movement here on Substack and YouTube as well. And joining me to have a laugh, to comb over the wreckage, to go over the schadenfreude-filled, filled, filled expectations of what happened last night.
00:01:51
Speaker 2: It was a wipeout.
00:01:52
Speaker 5: And joining me to talk about it is a man that has been... prognosticating he's like a he's like a human prediction market uh mr steve schmidt from the warning mr schmidt good morning it is a good morning you can say that and i mean it today how are you buddy.
00:02:07
Speaker 2: It is it's good to see you dean it's good to see you uh i've.
00:02:11
Speaker 6: Been watching the results last night yeah we had a good time we we enjoyed it it was it you know it's funny because i if if i ever wondered if you lost your fire for election results watching you stand next to the TV for four hours.
00:02:29
Speaker 5: Was incredible. I don't know where you want to start, but just to kind of give a quick recap in case you're joining us, and obviously if you're here, you know what happened. 231 to doesn't matter, 54 to not enough. Those are the current seating arrangements in the House and the Senate, respectively. Should be around 255 to 261 in the House by the time everything's counted and settled. Same thing with the Senate. That should be around 56. And my God, dude, like the repudiation, you know, wasn't just a repudiation. It was a kick in the fucking teeth for all things MAGA last night. I don't know where you want to start, but I'm happy to start. in Mississippi. I'm happy to go to Texas. That was an incredible state last night. I mean, it went completely blue. And there is hope in the United States of America for the first time in two years today, my friend.
00:03:25
Speaker 2: It's a great day in what is still a very dangerous hour for the country and will remain so for the next two years. We have a deranged, unhinged, immoral an amoral president, but one who will never again hold all the cards and all the power of the federal government. And so this was a mandate to make the abuses of law, of citizens, of the truth, of our allies, of our economy, to make it stop. to make the corruption stop. And so what I hear Hakeem Jeffries say, we're going to work on policy, not revenge. Who's talking about revenge besides Hakeem Jeffries? It's like going to somebody's wedding and listening to the groom get up and give a toast about not beating his new wife, right? A little odd. I saw a lot of victory speeches. I didn't hear one person talk about revenge. But the Save America movement, which did great work during this 18-month period of its standing up all over the country and all of the voters who cast votes out there, When these new members of Congress, and there's a lot of veterans amongst them, when they come to Washington, D.C., they're arriving in a city where the White House has been knocked down, paid for by some of the biggest corporations and their CEOs in the countries, plans for a victory arch that will shadow Arlington National Cemetery and the Vietnam Wall. And they're going to raise their hands. and swear an oath to the Constitution of the United States. And their duty requires them, and this moment compels them, to understand that the very, very first obligation is to bring the Article I branch of government back to life, to bring it back from the dead. His bootlicking, rubber stamp, Politburo fucking insanity, has been repudiated from Mississippi to Alaska and every single state that was listed in our opening with Trump's child soldier there, right? His little liar. I sit next to Brit Hume and her, right? It's like old degenerate and young degenerate coming together on the panel of liars. Quite a moment, you know, but Countries had this jammed down their throat for 12 years. Incredible. A Democratic Party lost two out of three presidential election sees people. And this isn't over until they go down and we have unified democratic control of the federal government of the United States and the ability to reform the government so that this may never happen again in any of our lifetimes. We owe that to our children. And so the oversight and the accountability is job one. And today, in this hour, there is a political opportunity, while the right rages at Pete Hegseth, for Democrats to do What Trump said is his preferred style of negotiations in the art of the deal, which is to walk into a room, put a finger in someone's chest, and tell them to go fuck themselves. That's what the Democratic leaders should do behind closed doors with Trump. If we have effective congressional leadership, the call's already been made to Susie Weil saying, Hegseth's got to go. We're going to impeach him. and we're going to try them, and we're going to convict them, and frog march them out of that place. And that's to every 18 and 19-year-old kid who's wearing a uniform of the United States of America.
00:08:31
Speaker 5: I want to get to some of that, we call it schadenfreude, I think it's course correction. Is it revenge? No, no one really mentioned it, but You know, America did vote for an end of the corruption. That was numero uno. And wherever that corruption is, wherever it sits. And there are articles of impeachment based on war crimes for Pete Hegseth. And I kind of want to start there before we get to some really uplifting stuff. Some of the victory speeches, some great moments from El-Sayed yesterday as well. But I want to talk about this aspect of it because this is the thing that is driving analytics. This is the conversation that that is at the top of every algorithm today, which is, you know, Pete Hegseth. Not just Pete Hegseth, Cash Patel. Not just Cash Patel, Tom Holman. Not just Tom Holman, but Kristi Noem, Corey Lewandowski, Greg Bovino. And I want to talk about ICE as well, because I don't know what, if it indeed goes to 261 in the House and 56 in the Senate, You talk about that course correction, not revenge. You talk about doing what you're supposed to do if you're an executive branch that is supposed to be co-equal. Is there going to be an opportunity? Do you think that they will have the scrote, so to speak, to deal with this ICE disaster, to take care of the people in each state? Peggy Flanagan said it yesterday. She's going to rip ICE. apart. She won in Minnesota. And I was very interested in that comment yesterday, and I thought to myself, what is that process like if you are loaded and fit to be tied in the House and the Senate if you're the Democrats?
00:10:13
Speaker 2: Well, look, we're going to have a presidential campaign. And let's talk about things that Democrats should say right now. And this, again, I don't accept, and I'm going to call out a Democratic leader every time I hear them concoct out of whole cloth and thin air this idea that Article I oversight is revenge. Donald Trump committed a coup, and he got away with it because the Biden administration let him get away with it. That was a choice. That was a decision. And that decision cannot be repeated. And I think that, for example, you look at the amount of Hispanic vote that turned out, And you look at the Democratic coalition, you look at ICE. So let's talk about promises. The very first thing that every Democratic candidate should commit to is that if you went through 47 days of training and got your federal badge, your law enforcement career is going to be terminated on 20 January of 2029. You're done. every person who served is going to be unmasked. Every person who abused someone is going to be held to account. And for those that murdered American citizens, murdered people, Jonathan Ross shot her in the head. Renee Good called her a fucking bitch. She'll be tried for murder. The Justice Department's going to cooperate. There might be people who are prosecuted for obstruction of justice, for impeding the investigation. Medgar Evers, Mrs. Evers waited a long time, 31 years for justice. Justice is going to come. These agencies, the Border Patrol, should be shuttered. It should be renamed. There should be new uniforms. The disgrace cannot be erased. Top to bottom. You have federal officials made tens of millions of dollars off of Kristi Noem's advertising contracts that were corrupt. The market manipulations, the corruption inside the tariffs, the Bitcoin, the crypto. Winning an office isn't a license to steal. And so they're going to have to do two things at once. They're going to have to legislate, and they're going to have to do the oversight, and they're going to have to do the investigations. They have to get to the bottom of the Epstein files. There's a congressional law. You have a guy like Leon Black who sued Congress, who subpoenaed him, and he refused. Yeah. And this is how you have to take it if you're sitting there. Again, I'm going to role play. I'm going to pretend I'm sitting next to Hakeem Jeffries. I'm sitting next to Chuck Schumer. I'm going to make a point about those two together in a second because Democrats have a choice to make about something. But let's talk about the use of power in Leon Black. I didn't start the pissing match. He didn't. We subpoenaed him. Not only did he tell us to go fuck ourselves, he's suing us. So we need to go get him and bring him here. And if he doesn't testify, we pass an inherent contempt resolution against him and we lock him up in the Capitol basement. People will say, well, Why do you have Leon Black locked up in the Capitol basement? And the answer to your question is, well, one, because we can.
00:14:53
Speaker 5: It's the rule of law.
00:14:56
Speaker 2: And two, because it's an effective communication device. A lot of these MAGA officials should watch their fucking tone when they come up here because we won't tolerate The disrespect we saw over the first two years, that era is over now. Now, when it comes to the magnitude of the victory all across the country, it seems preposterous to me, sitting here, the Democratic Party, which is now reborn again as a national party with senators in Texas, in Kansas, in Mississippi, The Congress is going to be led by two guys from Brooklyn who live three blocks apart from one another? Doesn't work. So which one's going? And I think the answer to that question is, Senator Schumer, thank you for your service. They're going to have a meeting. Not next year, not six months. I remember the Biden fiasco. Right? the shouting down of everybody who spoke to the obvious. Democrats 54, 55, and 56, and their first judgment is going to be, we need Chuck Schumer to keep leading us. The Senate majority leader should be Senator Warnock because he's an exceptional communicator. And because Senator Warnock understands this moment in time, and he just articulated about the brokenness in the country. And so this is another, in the early days here, it's been a victory for Chuck Schumer. The repudiation of MAGA, and these guys... Well, you figure Chuck Schumer and his team, they were late in Mississippi. Jamie Davis in Louisiana, he lost that race by 23,000 votes. They didn't spend any money there. I'm going to talk at a later date about this shit show in Montana and the fucking dummies who went up there. and convince Seth Bader to run as an independent as opposed to a Democrat? Because if you look at Montana, the vote total suggests that would add another seat.
00:17:55
Speaker 5: Yeah.
00:17:56
Speaker 2: We add up the Democrat and the independent together. You had a Democrat in there who got 13% of the vote. That's all on Chuck Schumer.
00:18:04
Speaker 5: Yeah.
00:18:04
Speaker 2: That's all on Joe Manchin. Right. What a mess. But when you look at the performance, The reality of politics, every penny of Elon Musk's money, gone, lit on fire, no effect. And these are important lessons to be learned because the new cycle is underway. It started. The presidential campaign has begun.
00:18:30
Speaker 5: Well said. And you know what? In as much as MAGA was repudiated, Trump was repudiated, the cult was repudiated, The meanness and the indecency, it didn't prevent Chuck Schumer from his victory lap last night. I want to play a clip for you real quick. And to your greater point, you know, the party has changed significantly. And he seems to want to still take credit for everything that happened yesterday. If we could play the Schumer clip, please, it.
00:18:58
Speaker 2: Would be great. Oh, man. Wow, wow, wow. Now....
00:19:08
Speaker 7: Against all odds, we Democrats have won the Senate. And we have five words for the American people. Chaos and corruption. We also recruited great candidates, even in red states. These people touch my heart. Every one of them that we recruited had great other opportunities. But they ran out of patriotism. They knew their country needed them. They knew in many cases, in every case, they were the best candidate for their state.
00:19:45
Speaker 2: And they were great. and then.
00:19:50
Speaker 7: The president the republicans rather then the republicans embraced trump the worst president ever republicans made a choice.
00:19:59
Speaker 5: There you go worst president ever thank you for that we didn't know that um but go ahead.
00:20:06
Speaker 2: He's not a bad man no He was first elected in 1975. We live in a country founded by George Washington. We just have narrowly survived a great national suicide attempt. And it's going to take years and years and years of repair. He had to know when to hang it up. He made a decision about whether he should run for re-election in New York. But that's not the most effective leader. Democrats can put forward for two years of facing down Donald Trump. He's just not.
00:20:47
Speaker 5: No, but he maintained that this morning, though, Steve. He was asked about it, and he's like, I will be the next majority Senate leader, so don't you worry about that.
00:20:55
Speaker 2: Let's see. I mean, again, right? And what we know is that he was instrumental in the seating of the Trump cabinet.
00:21:07
Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
00:21:08
Speaker 2: With a failure to provide stiff opposition, and his appeasements led to the creation of an ICE army that was just repudiated. So let's get real. Did the Hispanics who surged to the polls come to the polls to vote for Chuck Schumer? And his delusion, maybe, but that makes him as delusional as Natalie Harp.
00:21:36
Speaker 5: I want to bring up some numbers here, Steve. Because there's some stunning voter trends from last night. And I mean, this is why you are seeing huge sea change in Texas, Mississippi, Iowa, Kansas. The number one group that shifted from Republican to Democrat were men 18 to 29, plus 38. Plus 38. All 18 to 29. Plus 32. Hispanic men, plus 28. Black men, plus 16. Non-white college people, plus 14. Still the biggest majority in Trump's base. And white women, plus 11. That number at the top suggests to me that, you know, the Pete Hegseth Act isn't just, you know, hated by young men. It's being seen as fraudulent. The whole beta, alpha conversation, the mockery of women, the mockery of Vivek's Amy Acton. It suggests to me that the biggest swing comes from the biggest demographic that really helped put Trump in office twice, not once, but twice. But it also kind of suggests to me, and I could be wrong, that the sim is over, right? We talk about the sim. We talk about the people that are consuming the propaganda. And we just watched him kind of barrel through state 30 different rallies that were really just mental health episodes and sewer circuses. And I don't know what you see in those numbers. Obviously, ICE. Obviously, the concentration camps and the deportations plays into some of those demographics. Racially as well. But young men, young people, you know, seem to really get it this time around.
00:23:40
Speaker 2: The economy sucks.
00:23:41
Speaker 5: They really got it.
00:23:42
Speaker 2: The economy sucks. Gas prices are high for everybody's trucks. And that's what people drive. Maybe not in Brooklyn. Right. But I'm serious about this. I don't mean it flippantly. Right. You know, I've driven across the country six, seven times. You get outside of the big cities, what's everyone driving? They drive trucks. And young men love their trucks. And so think about how small Trump looks today. Lame duck buffoon. Think how stupid you're going to look if you're on Fox News tonight spinning this. Think how stupid you are, Scott Jennings, looking in the mirror when you practice your line. It digs up. This has been repudiated. This is what Democrats have to understand. Trust is lost in buckets. and earned in drops, they do not have a full trust bucket. They have the potential to fill it because they have some exceptional candidates who are going to be senators. The mandate was not great job. We're for blue. The mandate was make this stop. Make this stop. That's what the mandate is.
00:25:39
Speaker 1: Yeah.
00:25:40
Speaker 5: Yeah, and a stop it did in places and states, in races that, Jake Tapper said it last night, no one saw Mississippi coming.
00:25:51
Speaker 2: You did. I did. You did.
00:25:53
Speaker 5: Months ago, you said this was going to happen. Nobody saw Kansas go that way. You did. And I want to know why you did. You know, in Mississippi, Cindy Hyde-Smith's going to lose to Scott Cullum. And in Alaska, Dan Sullivan, the Dan Sullivan, Dan S. Sullivan, Esquire, is going to lose to Mary Peltola. And Kansas, Iowa, another shocker. Just Josh Turek, you know, just an amazing story. We'll get to his acceptance speech, which, you know, sounded like a breath of fresh air when it's just common sense. How did you know that these states would shake out in this capacity? Because nobody, I mean, nobody other than you had Mississippi. Nobody.
00:26:43
Speaker 2: I'm really well-traveled in the United States. And you and I had, we had dinner at a friend's restaurant. A couple months back, and one of the guys who we were having dinner with was a great retired Blue Jay baseball player, Jose Bautista. We're listening to Jose talk about the cat and mouse game that goes on between the pitcher and the batter. As a baseball fan, I never considered that he would swing at a pitch to purposely miss it. to set up the next pitch that he's ready to hit out of the park. And there was just a level to it that you couldn't see. If you go fishing on a river with a guide and you look at the river and you're not an experienced fisherman, you can't see the complexities, the ripples, the bubbles, that that guy can. So I have spent a great many years working in American politics. And I've made a commitment that I would do my best to tell people straight what was happening. In 2022, In 2021, I said, if Joe Biden breaks his promise, he's going to reelect Trump if he runs for a second term. He's not up for this. One of the things I'll always be proudest in that I was associated with was helping Dean Phillips walk out there. And when I see Haley Stevens treated as a victim, In suggestion, it brings me to the edge of an aneurysm because there's a guy who is owed an apology institutionally by the party and is a truth teller. It's Dean Phillips. He tried to save the party. And we got Trump. I lost hundreds of subscribers when I did that. Right? The smearing, the vitriol that you would get out of line, which reminds you of who exactly? But at any rate, The short answer to your question is, I know what the fuck I'm talking about because I've spent a lot of my career doing it. and most people who talk about politics on television have not actually worked in political campaigns are not well traveled in the United States and I could go down a list of people some prominent thinking of one in particular who's never been involved in a winning political campaign. And these are the people who are permitted on cable news because they will never give offense. And they won't call out a Joe Scarborough campaign. who looked into the camera and said, fuck you to his audience if you don't believe this is the best Biden ever. Right? You have to pretend every weekend that Trump is on the level. When you hear somebody say, like you heard last night on NBC or on Fox, some version of some MAGA pundit saying, but Donald Trump works hard for all the American people trying to do the right thing by them. I said, come again, are you shitting me? All of these things together, looking at the data, helped me to see that MAGA was going to stay home. And it did. That black and Hispanic and young men were going to come home to the Democratic Party, which was going to turn out in record numbers, independents were going to break decisively towards Democrats, and that would merge three storm systems into a supercell that meant anything was possible. In a state like Mississippi, if you understand the implications, 38% black voting population. Black voters coming home and turning out in a Democratic wave election with independents breaking when Presley lost that governor's race four years ago by three points. Hey, this guy could win. And then you have to look at the moral dimensions of it, right? The history. Does the state of Fannie Lou Hamer, the civil rights plank originator from the 1948 Democratic platform, 1964 Democratic platform, Medgar Evers, you have a moral obligation to be in that state and fly the flag until you win. And he didn't get a lot of help. He didn't get a lot of help. He should have gotten more help. And these guys in Washington left the Senate seat on the table in Louisiana.
00:33:03
Speaker 5: Jamie Davis?
00:33:04
Speaker 2: Yeah. So I'd be light on the self-praise, right? You can be happy about it. But if you're Chuck Schumer, walk with humility today. You caused a disaster today. in the first year, in the first months of this guy's presidency, when you were outside chanting, we're winning, we're winning, we're winning, while inside, ICE is being funded with a budget that made it larger than the U.S. Marine Corps.
00:33:34
Speaker 5: That required his vote, yes.
00:33:38
Speaker 2: Could have stopped.
00:33:40
Speaker 5: From surprises you knew, I mean, did you see Greg Abbott losing the governor's mansion yesterday?
00:33:47
Speaker 2: Yeah, so.
00:33:49
Speaker 5: This is a big one.
00:33:51
Speaker 2: I love Texas. Texas is a great state. And it's a cool place to go. And I've spent a lot of time in Texas. And about two weeks ago, I made a Thanksgiving trip plan with my daughter and my son that I would not have made if I thought this was going to go a different way because it would have disgusted me. going to the Dallas Cowboys game for Thanksgiving, going to the Texas A & M game the day after, and doing that, as I told everybody, because James Tallarico is going to be the senator and she's going to be the governor. And these assholes are going to be voted out of office. And this is a great, friendly place.
00:34:41
Speaker 7: Yeah.
00:34:42
Speaker 2: Right? Generally speaking, this is a state that's a nation unto itself where people give you the shirt off their back. Sure. And that from Washington, right, a cult of loser consultants in an industry where they defend excessive spending on television to maintain their excessive fees, right, they didn't want to play there. And these are places in the United States, not somewhere around the world. And so, yeah, after 12 years of Greg Abbott, after the cowardice, the cruelty, the despicable conduct, after that school shooting, the cowardice there, the meanness, the arrogance, the arrogance of power. This was one of the great collective fuck yous in American history. In a defiant country. We talk about that all the time. It's a defiant country. country right and and and the lost media who covers this and analyze it right that they couldn't see the fuck you coming right doesn't make me a genius it makes them fucking blind.
00:36:06
Speaker 5: Right willingly blind yeah we need to keep up the spinning plates of keeping you wondering if what you're seeing is real we watch that all night last night, but I didn't see the margins being this big. I had hope for Hinojosa. She won. Big margin. Tallarico, absolutely fucking destroyed. James Paxton, like a legendary, terrible fucking candidate in a legendary, terrible fucking election with a legendary cult at his back. I didn't see him winning by 15. I didn't see him win by 2 million votes, but To your greater point, the whole idea about Texas being this GOP stronghold was largely a mirage for a very long period of time. Very few people spent all that money, and then in comes Elon Musk. And I got to wonder how much Elon Musk stink. How much of that $ 474 million that he pumped into personal elections the most anybody has ever given in any cycle. And he did it two elections in a row and did not get a return on investment. But I got to wonder if, if, if every dollar he spent in a place like Texas, uh, was a scarlet letter, just continue to poison the.
00:37:30
Speaker 2: Vote, right? Yeah. People don't like it.
00:37:36
Speaker 1: No.
00:37:36
Speaker 5: Well, especially in Texas, right? He's a South African immigrant, uh, probably an illegal immigrant, coming into their state to buy their fucking state. And the one thing that I laughed about this morning, I was reading about Hinojosa, she made her entire platform, other than affordability and honesty, about no data centers are special favors for Elon Musk. James Tallarico, let's get all that billionaire oligarchy money out of the state.
00:38:03
Speaker 2: Well, and what's great is all these assholes have beelined down there As if it's their personal property with their companies and everything else, right?
00:38:19
Speaker 5: He's got his own city there, space city.
00:38:22
Speaker 2: Under the Abedoochee, and now it's all over, right? It's tremendous. It's great. And so, I mean... Beto O'Rourke deserves tremendous credit. Tremendous credit. This does not happen but for Beto O'Rourke and these two runs and the voter registration project, right? Some people, their destiny isn't to get to the top of the mountain, right, but to pave the way. And boy, boy, did he do that. Stacey Abrams.
00:39:07
Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
00:39:09
Speaker 2: In Georgia, you know, paving the way. At the very beginning, when we're starting the Save America movement, I hope I won't get in trouble with either Bishop Barber or Beto, but I'm on a call with Beto and Bishop Barber, and I think about all the conference calls I'm on. And so I always, always remembered us. And this is, this is how I feel. And sometimes we're in these situations where you hear another person speaking and you're just like, God, that's, that's like, I feel like, exactly like you just expressed. And Beto starts talking, and he goes, my faith is, he's like, I'm not that religious. Right? I think he said, like, I'm not that fucking religious, right? There's an F-bomb in it that was exquisite, right? The bishop bomb, right? But he said, my whole faith system is built around my faith in the United States. Direct quote was, I believe in fucking America. That's what I believe in. That's what I believe in. Right? And I don't believe in the USA, USA jingoistic version. I believe in the real version. The truth is good enough. It doesn't need embellishments.
00:40:42
Speaker 5: Right?
00:40:43
Speaker 2: Right. The sins of the country, it's past. This is an era of sin. This should never be glossed over. This should never be forgot. Our exceptionalism, to say the least, it's waning. We ought to have an appreciation for that. We're exceptional people. because we're the only country in the world made up of all the world's people that's done more good in the world than all the other nations put together when the account looks at liberating people, curing people, feeding people, and curing people. That's what made us exceptional. Trump doesn't make us exceptional. And so that faith in the country, plus a real understanding of what's happening in the polls, because I can read them, because I've experienced working in politics and on campaigns at the highest levels and on ones that actually won, you could see it coming. You could see it coming. And pretending that it wasn't coming in so much of the media was on the basis of cowardice and ass-covering but also intimidation of being harangued by MAGA, harangued by Trump. So all of his strength has been overstated. The weakness of the Democrats has been overstated. The intimidation of the networks and the news media and the shading of what's going on and what you can say, all of that fear, that's all up in smoke now. And speaking of, the first thing to do is... To get rid of Hegsath. But the second person. Right. Over the fucking rail. Is Russell Voigt.
00:42:49
Speaker 5: And.
00:42:50
Speaker 2: His assault on the First Amendment. Impeach him. Try him. And get rid of him. Ted Cruz will be with you. Right. But the idea of. The thing that the Democrats got to be worried about right now is like, oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Right. We wouldn't want anybody to think that we were going to put our foot down on the corruption. Right. They should be talking right now on a conference call about the ethics reform package they're going to pass on day one that bans all insider and stock trading. Yeah.
00:43:24
Speaker 5: They were talking about that today.
00:43:25
Speaker 2: Right. You know what? What happens? What's the implication for Democrats if they go a week without passing that? Do they think that, well, that's okay. We're cool with it if you guys do it. Country just voted to end all that bullshit. Make it stop. That's what the mandate is.
00:43:47
Speaker 5: And that's not revenge. That's common sense.
00:43:50
Speaker 2: If you think that's revenge, how is he going to function as Speaker if he thinks that's revenge?
00:44:01
Speaker 1: Hmm.
00:44:02
Speaker 2: I mean, it's just objectively not revenge. Right? So, again, Hakeem Jeffries had that secret meeting with Jared Kushner. Why any secret meetings with Jared Kushner? I want to see Jared Kushner answer questions under oath. And, by the way, He has to answer questions under oath because of the credible media reports about his control of foreign holdings and accounts, including an account, according to news reports, that had a billion dollars in it for his personal use. Not to mention the $ 2 billion Saudi investment, not to mention his conduct of foreign policy, not to mention his frequent contact with Vladimir Putin. You think investigating that is revenge? You think figuring out how it is Howard Lutnick made $ 250 million last year off of the tariffs is revenge? You think figuring out how Donald Trump made $ 6 billion off the presidency is revenge? Investigating the companies who got quid pro quo favors for donating money to the teardown of the White House? You think that's revenge? This isn't going to go very well, is it? We better get our words right and our language a little bit sharper. That's not revenge.
00:45:43
Speaker 5: No. No. No, and you can already kind of set your watch to that being a mega talking point, right? Oh, look, we're the victims. Look at us now. Oh, look, they're coming after us. I knew they'd do this, right? Oh, impeachment, impeachment, impeachment. But one of the things that I read this morning from an author, his name is Dominic Trippi, I believe is his name. He put out a couple of tweets and I've seen a couple of these tweets that, you know, this loss hasn't just crushed Trump. He's freaking out to the point where he is now considering instead of going through investigation after investigation of him, his family, mostly him. He doesn't really give a shit about his family. Certainly doesn't care about his two idiot kids, at least two of the five. But that he is interested in pardoning himself and everybody around him, that was a gimme. And interested in the idea of possibly resigning after trying to secure some type of deal, a non-prosecution deal, for him to go away. I don't want your thought. I mean, it was just, I've seen this rolling around. It's starting to pick up speed on social media. I want your thoughts on that scenario, Steve.
00:47:02
Speaker 2: I think it's a fantasy. He'll, he'll, he'll, he, he, he will. And it's a, it's a profound misreading of him psychologically. Yeah. Right. And that pisses me off. Right. Because, because it's been 12 years.
00:47:19
Speaker 5: Right.
00:47:19
Speaker 2: And he's not that hard to read. No. He's, he's never, ever, ever going to leave of his own volition an 18-acre campus filled with the world's media that films him. If you don't understand that by now, I can't help you. That's why he needs that. Like a fish needs water and people need oxygen. Sure. So no. Yeah, put that away. I do think that when it comes to the pardons, everybody should understand that if you take a pardon, it compels you to testify truthfully under oath with a waiving of your Fifth Amendment provisions, and the pardon doesn't immunize you for crimes in state court. You look at New York law and all of the financial crimes these guys have been involved in. They would have enormous liability. Putting that aside, Democrats are going to have to look and say, hey, he may do this, so what should we do? Well, what about passing a law that says the government can't contract With any firm, any business, anything, anything that has a vendor, a subcontractor, anybody who works for it in the chain, anywhere on the chain, who holds a presidential pardon? Problem solved. So now you got to sit there and say, roll the dice, right? Am I really going to be criminally prosecuted? Did I even do anything? Do I want this pardon if I can't ever work again in government affairs? Oh, I'm not going to get to be an AT & T lobbyist. So there's a countermeasure for everything that they're going to do, most of which is really, really predictable.
00:49:42
Speaker 5: Before the last word, and we're running up against time here on Dead Air, everybody please continue to follow the Save America Movement at the Save America Movement here on Substack. Of course, YouTube, the warning with my friend Steve Schmidt at Steve Schmidt here on Substack as well as YouTube. But I want to go to Michigan. It was a retention seat outside one after the Haley Stevens hullabaloo, if you will.
00:50:05
Speaker 2: Schumer recruits.
00:50:07
Speaker 5: Schumer recruit yeah yeah he he said he recruited great candidates let me just remind him that you recruited hailey stevens who stabbed.
00:50:15
Speaker 2: Y'all in the back and made everybody look we got we got out of this main race barely alive too yeah susan collins well grant platner and that whole shit oh.
00:50:26
Speaker 5: Yeah i forgot about him yeah yeah the the the racist um the i i I want to talk about El Sayed because I want to know if you're as impressed as I am with the tone that he kind of took. But also, are you shocked by the fact that he won by seven, that he beat Rodgers yesterday, and the tone that he took yesterday? I mean, I love his energy. We'll leave ideology and faith aside. I love the guy's energy. I think he's a qualified candidate. And he said something yesterday, too. So I want your thoughts on him, but just a quick comment. Um, that, that what he loves, he goes, JD Vance. He says, Habibi, my guy, the delicious irony that you're going to have to swear me in as part of it.
00:51:12
Speaker 2: I love it. I love it. You love it.
00:51:16
Speaker 5: Cause you got that in you too, but like, are you surprised at, at, uh, like, do you like him a little bit more than I thought than you thought he would?
00:51:26
Speaker 2: Well, that's, I like him a lot. Right. That's You know, through the through the thing like I. A guy who's going to be called a weasel by Trump or J.D. Vance and respond in Michigan, I'm not a weasel, I'm a fucking Wolverine. So it was his direct direct quote. Right. Like, I like that. Right. And. And I thought the J.D. Vance stuff was was was great. I cannot imagine he's a young guy, young family, proud guy. There is no example in our lifespans, when we were conscious, adult, right, over 18, that was as racially filthy, bigoted, un-American, overly as disgusting as the campaign run against him. No American, no American, If you're an American, you know what that means. You have that American faith in you. No American can be tolerant of that religious bigotry. We don't have a faith test in the Constitution. And the slandering of him, his family, his faith, his community, by Mike Rogers and by Haley Stevens, right, is just disgusting, right? What he in the campaign said that I objected to, okay, is when he talked about after a shooting, hurt people hurt people as an excuse for the murderer because the Israelis bombed a site in Lebanon for a shooting in Michigan. Michigan cannot be the front lines or on any lines in the war between Israelis and their Palestinian enemies. It's not in America's interest. I agree completely. And so does overwhelmingly everyone in my Jewish family that the settlers attacking Palestinian olive farmers at harvest are terrorists. Supporting these people, these terrorists, hurting these Palestinians, explain to me how that's in America's interest. Right? It's not in America's interest.
00:55:09
Speaker 5: No, of course not.
00:55:10
Speaker 2: Being sided up with these fanatical Jewish supremacists around Netanyahu, one of them whom has a terror conviction under Israeli law. The religious bigotry set loose, not by al-Sayed, but by Mike Rogers is what we have to focus on. And so I look at this Senate majority, the person that I see in that mix that won an election that I find truly inspiring to listen to is John Ossoff. But all of these people who have won have profound responsibilities, life and death responsibilities, war and peace responsibilities. They're going to raise their hand and take oaths to the Constitution when it's imperiled, when it's threatened, when it's under siege, when it's under attack. And the man who will swear them in, J.D. Vance, doesn't believe in the Constitution. Doesn't believe a word of it. And this is a dire moment, a dangerous moment. Trump won't remain docile. I genuinely, you know what I would have lost a lot of money on last night? The idea that he did not come out and say the election was stolen, I would have gone all in. I would have won all the money we would have won on making the right predictions. I would have blown every penny of it on that he didn't come. But that's not going to hold.
00:56:50
Speaker 5: That's shocking. Not one person said it.
00:56:53
Speaker 2: That's not going to hold. You know, Vivek Ramaswamy went out and did a normal concession. You know, maybe we're past that poison, right? That it's washed out of the system, right? And if that's the case, then I hope we have a new intolerance for it, right? Because the country can't survive people, right, who run for office and say, well, it's only a fair election if I win.
00:57:16
Speaker 5: Yeah.
00:57:19
Speaker 2: Right? There's no workaround for that.
00:57:22
Speaker 5: No.
00:57:23
Speaker 2: No.
00:57:24
Speaker 5: And Watching some of the most objectionable people lose in the ways that they lost was its own repudiation as well. You bring up Vivek Ramaswamy, the most horrific ad ever launched and stood by it, continued to pay to put it on networks that would take the money for the ad, blow it into people's social media accounts where he's accusing Amy Acton of lying about her abuse that was litigated years and years ago as a fact.
00:57:53
Speaker 2: When you take out all the violent prisoners, right, all violent convicts, and you kind of get rid of the drug dealers and child rapists and molesters and pedophiles off the list, right? Who's in contention against Vivek Ramaswamy, who's not named Trump, for piece of shit of the year?
00:58:24
Speaker 3: I mean.
00:58:26
Speaker 2: What a piece of fucking garbage that guy is.
00:58:32
Speaker 5: Huge, yeah.
00:58:33
Speaker 2: What a piece of trash. And from the moment he took the debate stage, through his days of service with Doge, right? You know, Democrats, right? You know, all these companies, they got the lobbyists today. Hey, you know, we'll write checks in everyone. Make it good. Make it good, right? Make it good. I'm sure Elon's got a plan, right? Spend on both sides, right? What I want to hear Democrats talking about is insistence that the second the next president gets in there, he fires Kash Patel, seals his office, and strips Elon Musk of his security clearances.
00:59:13
Speaker 5: And every one of his companies, he can nationalize the shit out of them.
00:59:16
Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, if you have the, if you have, if the government cannot, cannot be in business with a citizen that it treats as a non-state actor that's above the law.
00:59:39
Speaker 5: Right? He got real quiet.
00:59:41
Speaker 2: His conduct, his lawlessness, whatever went on at Doge, we have to find it. No one knows. No one knows. I mean, that's part of it. That's not revenge, right? That's an investigation. Robert Garcia is an impressive guy. He's going to be the chairman of the House Oversight Committee. And I mean, what I talked to him about is, I think, right, I would bifurcate kind of jurisdictions and duties. I'd have a select standing committee because it affects everything that investigates those. No one knows what happened. No one knows what those guys walked off with, what they took. Right? No idea. No. No one does. And so we have to find that out.
01:00:23
Speaker 5: And again, not revenge.
01:00:24
Speaker 2: My revenge.
01:00:25
Speaker 5: We'd like to know what you took a hacksaw to in our infrastructure. We want to know how you did this. Where is the data? You know, and I think that that's really the most amazing part of this election and this repudiation is the poison that it touches, that America now has, you know, an opportunity to excise, right? We've had some great surprises, Mississippi, Texas still glowing over the whole thing with Hinojosa and Tallarico. Adam Hamilton, just a regular dude, pastor. He went in and cleaned up in Kansas as well, which was beautiful. We're going to see some surprises trickle in. The number 255 to 260 may be in the House, looking at probably 56 in the Senate. There is a mandate in those numbers. And maybe for the last word, if you can.
01:01:16
Speaker 2: Well, I was going to say, it sounds like a joke, right? There's a Muslim senator, a Jewish senator, right, and a Christian pastor turned senator, right, and they walk into a bar, except it's not a joke, right? And you think about, right, the two Christian pastors, Tallarico and Hamilton, and you think about Abdul El-Sayed, and you think about the amount of Muslims that in Africa that are starving and dying because of the suspension of USAID programs. One of the things Democrats should be focused on is the restoration of these programs as they take command of the appropriations process and jam it down Donald's throat. And as a moral proposition, millions of lives are at stake around the world because of the cuts in all of those programs. And they should be restarted. And they're important for the national security of the country. Look, last word. I just say this was a great victory. Donald Trump will never be as powerful or as frightening as he was. But he has not yet become... as dangerous as he will be. He is going to become very, very erratic. And the MAGA remnant will not be chastened. It will be more extreme. And the example I would give is like a white star collapsing. As it gets smaller, it gets hotter. As it gets hotter, it gets denser. As it gets denser, it gets heavier. As the party gets smaller, it gets hotter. It gets more extreme. As it shrinks, it gets crazier. So when you think about the tree, the great maggot tree, the flood came. But the surviving monkeys that live in the dry branches, they live high up in that tree. And they were untouched by the biblical wave. In fact, Some of them don't even know what happened. Right? Because they're up there in the dry branches eating the crazy nuts and word hasn't reached them yet. And their conclusion was we weren't pure enough. We weren't loyal enough. Or I really don't give a fuck because I'm in a district that's impossible for me to lose except for in a primary and the king of Republican primaries remains who? That's right. And so one implication of this is going to be this, right? You'll see this play out. Some presidential cycles get off to slower starts. This is going to be a fast start, but it's going to be a little stealthy because the action's going to be focused on the Democratic Congress. But any time... You have Trump pitted in a choice where the camera shares space, right? Trump goes up. When it's a referendum entirely on Trump, Trump goes down. When Trump has a foil, Trump's numbers will come back up and will stabilize a little bit, right? And so you will see some regretful independents, right? You'll see some people that want a little bit of a check on the Democrats who like Trump in that position, right? So gridlock will have its fans, right? But Trump's polls won't continue to collapse, right? They're going to stabilize in the short term. And what he's going to say, as he's called the lame duck, and he competes for attention, still surrounded by the sycophants, he's going to start leaning into he may run for a third term. The delusion here isn't going to be the stolen election. It's going to be I wasn't on the ballot. You hear some Republicans saying, well, we would have won if there wasn't the Iran war, which is kind of crazy if you think about it. I've never heard that formulation. We would have won, but for the war we started. No, but there is a war. And what he's going to say as he's talking about the third term, he's going to freeze little Marco and he's going to freeze J.D. Vance and he's going to prevent them from starting the race and they will look weak like puppets. You just saw how people react to a Trump puppet electorally. So each day that this force goes on, he gets diminished. I don't see how J.D. Vance conceivably wins a presidential election, right? This was a repudiation of him as well. And at any rate, Marco has said that he's not running against J.D. So what Trump will do is toy with J.D. Vance by hinting that he wants Marco to run because Marco will need Trump's permission to run against J.D. Because of how Marco has set it up inside, which is kind of smart of Marco Rubio. But we're going to see a lot of drama, a lot of mind games, a lot of ass covering. And we're going to see, I think, change at the Pentagon because I think that's the first demand.
01:07:16
Speaker 5: I hope so.
01:07:17
Speaker 2: Get that whack job out of there.
01:07:18
Speaker 5: Yeah, there you go. Pete Hegseth's first. Any number of people can be second. My specific hope is Stephen Miller's in the top five as well.
01:07:30
Speaker 2: The problem with Chuck Schumer, again... It's a lack of imagination. What we should do is you send Mark Kelly and Alyssa Slotkin down to the White House, since they were two of the ones they tried to lock up, and say, go sit down with the chief of staff. And say, we're going to put them on trial here in the Senate after they impeach them in the House. First thing we're going to do, get rid of them. We're not fucking around. You want to work with us? You want to do anything, or do you want us just to impose misery? And the last thing, I really think if you're working in a Senate office, please listen to Jennifer Welch. She'll help you, keep you on the straight track, and don't even think about confirming a federal judge. for the next two years right not fucking one scorched earth and and so and so listen and i i don't think you're going to be able to paper over this stuff right like that's my expectation right is one of the people who helped build a group that has 400 000 donors that i think did a lot of good that's connected to all the other groups you know when i talk to the people who lead these groups right they're are sustained by hundreds of thousands of members, I mean, people can email me on this that are watching now. I mean, did anybody vote for Democrats hoping the Democrats would compromise and work with Trump to nominate Trump judges and get them confirmed?
01:09:14
Speaker 1: No.
01:09:15
Speaker 2: None.
01:09:15
Speaker 5: No.
01:09:15
Speaker 2: No Supreme Court confirmation gets through.
01:09:18
Speaker 4: No.
01:09:20
Speaker 2: Trump judge gets through.
01:09:21
Speaker 5: Good luck.
01:09:22
Speaker 2: Right? That's what people voted for. Make it stop.
01:09:27
Speaker 5: Well, good start yesterday, America. Canada's proud of you and very, very proud to be associated with the Save America Movement here at thesaveamericamovement.org is where you can find them online. Steve, of course, one of the co-founders. Incredible work, you and your team, and Vote Safe and what you were doing.
01:09:44
Speaker 2: Mary Corcoran, everybody, our people that do these shows that I know everyone enjoys in our community. Yeah, no, it's great to.
01:09:58
Speaker 2: Work hard and to have faith and to see that faith manifest in a result that, that, that is, that is so important as an exclamation by the American people about who it is we are. This is, this is a shameful, chapter. Um, but we know now it's not our final chapter.
01:10:34
Speaker 5: No, no, it's just a, a chapter in the journey in the book, uh, guaranteed, uh, you know, the process no one's ever guaranteed results. Uh, so to have that result and to experience the process of being able to work with the save America movement, uh, requires you requires your support. If you could donate at the save America movement.org is where you can find them online again here at at the Save America movement on Substack YouTube as well. Steve Schmidt, you're going to be able to find him and his prognosticating. Go back to May. Go back and read some of his pieces where he predicted this kind of stuff. And listen to Mr. Schmidt, Mr. Dr. Schmidt, every single time he makes a prognostication. Because, man, oh, man, I mean, you know.
01:11:16
Speaker 2: We would have done good. We would have done good in the prediction markets.
01:11:19
Speaker 5: We would have killed it if we.
01:11:20
Speaker 2: We would have killed it. We would have blown it. We would have blown it all. We would have had our big stack, our big wad of cash, and we would have bet it all on black.
01:11:31
Speaker 5: What do you mean?
01:11:35
Speaker 2: What do you mean he didn't say it was a fake election? What about that at all? We're not going out for the steak anymore.
01:11:44
Speaker 5: Yeah, I know, but you can't go back and read your own posts and then re-engineer a time machine to be able to place that bet. But if you did, good for you. Listen to Steve. Go and find him here and, of course, on YouTube at Steve Schmidt. And the warning. Congratulations, America. Listen, I've seen one more thing I'll say before we go. I've seen a bunch of people say, hey, you know, Kinzinger, he's like, hey, just want everybody to know that Canada, you can have your friends back now. No, that doesn't happen like that. We need to see the accountability portion. But a hell of a start. And it's really nice to see you all again, America. Thanks for doing this. Way to go. The real work starts now, but we're here for that as well. Thanks, Steve. We'll talk to you soon. Thank you, everybody, for spending some time with us today. We'll see you soon. Bye.
01:12:38
Speaker 4: But remember that in living rooms and backyards and at rallies across Georgia these last two years, together we've affirmed that our task is not just to contain one president's wickedness, but to heal the brokenness beneath. That this moment is an opening not for restoration, but for reformation. And so amidst our celebration tonight, we must acknowledge that the underlying crisis gripping our republic remains and that therefore our most vital work lies ahead. But Georgia, we can and will reclaim control over our own destiny. Tonight we've struck a necessary and undeniable blow on behalf of justice and progress. And tonight in Georgia, We've proven not just that unity is possible,
