Isaac: Sky on everyone. This week magic was gathered. Magic is gathered. Magic will be gathered. Going on, everyone. We're here with episode 189 of the Storm Beach podcast, talking all things great and garbage this week. What's going on, Keelan?
Keelan: Yeah, good, mate. Here you go tonight.
Isaac: Well thank you.
Keelan: That's good.
Isaac: Yeah. It is.
Keelan: Yeah. as for what's going on with me, as you can tell by the intro prompt, Magic the Gathering.
Isaac: Sure.
Keelan: lots of lots of lots of magic was gathered on on the weekend.
Isaac: Mm-hmm. Yep.
Keelan: 'cause the Hobbit set came out and that jazzed me right the fuck up. and had a great time. So I've actually learnt how to play magic now. Might
Isaac: nice, very good.
Keelan: be a p might be a problem.
Isaac: Mm.
Keelan: Another an well, it's an extension of a hobby I already had, I guess. So I guess it's not another hobby.
Isaac: No, it's just other cardboard.
Keelan: Yeah. I'm actually playing with the cardboard.
Isaac: But it also does something as well. There's a game, yeah.
Keelan: Yeah. So yeah, we're we're having a crack on tabletop simulator on on on the weekend for for some for some magic as well. So we'll see how that goes.
Isaac: nice.
Keelan: I don't really want to go down to the local good games and play with complete strangers.
Isaac: Melly Papable.
Keelan: you said it.
Isaac: We were all thinking it.
Keelan: Yeah, just 'cause like we we played at we played at the shop on the weekend before what they call a pre release event, right? And so you crack
Isaac: Mm.
Keelan: open it was six packs of the new set and then you get so you get thirty minutes to open your packs and build a de a forty card deck with just the hobbit. And because everyone's just playing with the new set and people kind of expect you to be a a new new player It's it's it's pretty chill. But I can't imagine turning up at a regular Commander night and being like hey guys, just you got any room in your pod for me to play?
Isaac: Mm-hmm.
Keelan: I don't wanna upset the the ethos down there, so yeah.
Isaac: Yeah. Yeah. Run into some sweaty nerds down there, that's for sure.
Keelan: Yeah. before yeah, yeah, look, there's it definitely happens. And it's yeah, yeah. So I'm gonna try and play online, on on the weekend, just see how it goes really, 'cause
Isaac: Mm-hmm.
Keelan: if tabletop sim works and I get my head around tabletop sim, then in theory we can also have a red hot crack at Journeys in Middle Earth. once
Isaac: Smart.
Keelan: you once your new PC comes back. Comes back, arrives.
Isaac: Yes. Arrives.
Keelan: Yeah.
Isaac: Circles back around.
Keelan: That's that's one of the lyrics in LifePad, isn't it? Come around, back around.
Isaac: It's hi, you'll you're the music man.
Keelan: Yeah, it is let's say it is close enough. Jit. And copyright strike. Woo. just 'cause it sounded so good. But yeah, no, it was it was a hundred percent good. Would recommend cracking cracking packs if you like the Hobbit. It was it was
Isaac: Mm.
Keelan: pretty bangin'. If you see them in the shops, I know seven eleven are doing them for the memes as well.
Isaac: Really?
Keelan: Yeah. Well, at least I've seen in a few, both on the Gold Coast and here.
Isaac: Yeah. Yeah. If only I was within fifty kilometers of a seven eleven. Yeah,
Keelan: You can order them on the internet.
Isaac: fair.
Keelan: Yeah. I mean I joked off air about getting your warriors and menace turret for your birthday. Maybe it'll just be They just have to be the Hobbit set.
Isaac: Okay.
Keelan: Mm it'll still be in production then too, I reckon. So that'll be fine. Yeah, alright. Someone's getting into magic. Alright.
Isaac: goodness me.
Keelan: Unlucky. You could get such cards as Tom Bombardilla, his his jacket is blue and his pants are yellow.
Isaac: Yeah, yeah, that's true. What what's the card like text on the bottom? Can do everything but won't?
Keelan: He's he's he's very annoyingly and I'm d I don't know how I'm gonna fit him into a deck. He costs one of every type of mana.
Isaac: Makes sense. Yeah.
Keelan: He he's he's a god bard, which I think is the best description of him of all time. Yeah.
Isaac: That checks out. Yeah.
Keelan: As long as there are four or more lore counters amongst sagas you control, Tom Bombardil has Hexproof and Indestructible, which of course means a lot to you right now.
Isaac: Yeah, honestly, you got to as long as that was where my understanding stopped.
Keelan: There are cards that are literally just stories, essentially, and they like either kinda move on to the next part of the story each turn.
Isaac: Mm-hmm.
Keelan: They they're like spells and shit. Anyway, whatever, he does cool stuff when stories appear. It is pretty on brand. 'Cause
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: they're the closest thing to songs in the in the game. So yeah.
Isaac: Yeah, yeah. Donut will Yeah.
Keelan: He's a silly sausage, Mr. Tom Bombardillo.
Isaac: Bottom of the text forgets what he was doing at the end of turn.
Keelan: Yeah.
Isaac: Mm-hmm.
Keelan: says legendary creature, God Bard, and ADHD
Isaac: Mm.
Keelan: as his as his key words. Yeah.
Isaac: Very cool.
Keelan: But yeah, that's that's pretty much all that's going on really. I don't think anything else has happened.
Isaac: Yeah, no.
Keelan: Yeah, what's going on with you?
Isaac: thanks for asking. you already mentioned waiting on a new laptop to arrive should should be at the post office tomorrow.
Keelan: really really sorry for spoiling that forever.
Isaac: that's fine. No, no, no. That's a nice little treat. So to listeners out there, you never know, you might get the show hours early. Like it might literally be ready for processing as soon as we've recorded it and not have to wait ten years for the other half of my files to upload every afternoon or evening.
Keelan: If I could legitimately publish it the night we record it, that would be that would be pretty immense. Yeah.
Isaac: Yeah, so look out for I'm not making any promises, but we'll we'll
Keelan: Zero promises. Yeah.
Isaac: see. But I'm I'm really looking forward to having a laptop that I can sit on my lap. that is not a a laptop melt or an open face laptop, as some might call it.
Keelan: Technically yours can still sit on your laptop. on your lap.
Isaac: y yeah, if I have my legs up on something in front of me. Otherwise
Keelan: Yeah. It's
Isaac: the top of it would be dangling over my knees facing away from me, the screen.
Keelan: Yeah. You make two.
Isaac: but yeah, th this this current one has served me well for a number of years. it's still going, just it's just not held together by very much. That's
Keelan: And it takes approximately one overnight to finish uploading your part
Isaac: It
Keelan: of every episode when mine is mine is done as it happens. Yeah.
Isaac: Done a at done. Yeah. Yeah, correct. So, yeah, had a good run.
Keelan: I'll be able to nice ceremony for it.
Isaac: Yeah. I won't. It'll probably just
Keelan: I've seen a few episodes.
Isaac: Yeah, it'll probably just be like my come again
Keelan: Someone's yelling in the street.
Isaac: be like my PC towel that just sits here collecting dust, doing nothing 'cause it won't
Keelan: Mm.
Isaac: turn on anymore. I'm I'm I think I might just be getting a skip in it sometime soon. I've got that much stuff to throw away. Can't be bothered going to the tip.
Keelan: I'm definitely not distracted by the ruckus in the street right now.
Isaac: you need to sauce it out.
Keelan: No, no, no, no, no. We're safe up here on the third floor.
Isaac: Safe at the top of your tower.
Keelan: Don't tell people what floor we live on.
Isaac: Mm-hmm.
Keelan: W we live on the third floor. good luck figuring out where, thanks.
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: It's currently night
Isaac: I'll
Keelan: time. fucking r as soon as Rainbolt hops in the s hops on our YouTube, we're cooked.
Isaac: so cooked. It'll be over.
Keelan: Rainbow will look at your fucking your walls and be like, Yeah mate. Yeah, done.
Isaac: Yep, got him. It would like, yeah, Southern Hemisphere. nothing to do with the all the sports gears by
Keelan: Yeah. Like Anaheim.
Isaac: Yeah, throw him off. Got a bit going on.
Keelan: Yeah, what the docs in it.
Isaac: Could be Sokal, could be Edmonton up here. Big going on.
Keelan: The mighty ducks.
Isaac: Mm-hmm. Could be Sudbury.
Keelan: Are they are they still in Anaheim at the moment?
Isaac: and home ducks, yeah.
Keelan: Yeah, cool. They're pretty mighty.
Isaac: He just called it just called them d the ducks now and not not as mighty.
Keelan: Nah. Nah, I call them the Muddy Ducks. 'Cause of 'cause of the film.
Isaac: Sick sequel there.
Keelan: It's a good film. Maybe we should do a watch party.
Isaac: yeah, it wouldn't be that.
Keelan: So a drinking game for the Mighty Dogs?
Isaac: That that would not be top of the list.
Keelan: What do you mean it wouldn't that? Why not?
Isaac: It's all right, but like as far as all of the movies go that I haven't watched in a while, there's at least three above it.
Keelan: What about the Mighty Ducks the animated series?
Isaac: Yeah. Honestly, this guy.
Keelan: You didn't like the animated series? I thought you were a hockey
Isaac: Don't
Keelan: guy, dude.
Isaac: not everything, Hoggy. I I I like watching the NHL.
Keelan: Yeah, so it's the animated NHL. Jeez, get some culture.
Isaac: anyway, no no rugby this weekend. we got straight through to final, but we got together, had a bit of a film session on Saturday in a barbecue.
Keelan: Sounds dodgy.
Isaac: Which was good. saw my parents for dinner Saturday night as well, which is good.
Keelan: That's cute.
Isaac: went to pick up pizzas in in Evans and a couple of the boys from the team were still hanging around. They were in the pub as I got pizzas from across the road, which was a few hours after I left, the the team barbecue, so they were in for a good night. and then Sunday back to my favourite activity of destroying nature. Got on the mower. Only got bogged Five times, maybe. Yeah.
Keelan: I was gonna say thrice.
Isaac: Little a little bit more than that. Sam got bogged once. And then gave up. Which was fair. Yeah, yeah.
Keelan: Seems like a skill issue on your part then, doesn't it? Hmm. Tough look that.
Isaac: But no, things are things are looking a bit better down there now. It's been a while
Keelan: Mm.
Isaac: since been up on a mo. and then 'cause we didn't play we go into minor semifinal three V four this weekend. trained yesterday, training tomorrow. So two trainings this week.
Keelan: really?
Isaac: if we don't win on the weekend, tomorrow will be the last training of the year. No more footy. We're
Keelan: Nah, you're good on the way again. You're good.
Isaac: not we'll not go home. we're pretty pretty optimistic though. Where where the where the fourth seed no one wants to face, I think.
Keelan: The Brisbane Lions. The mm.
Isaac: Yep. Correct. Correct. So no other than that, fairly fairly cruisy.
Keelan: Nice. Yeah, good stuff.
Isaac: Yeah. Should we get into
Keelan: Did you census?
Isaac: Yeah, speaking of things that are being gathered
Keelan: Mm.
Isaac: onto the census.
Keelan: Ho hey.
Isaac: do you have anything on on top of the Butcher of the Week nomination that's census related?
Keelan: well, f before butcher of the week, I just just want to touch on that it was very pain free and it took about what, ten minutes for two people to complete.
Isaac: Mm-hmm.
Keelan: I didn't feel like my privacy was infringed.
Isaac: This isn't live, but do you sense us?
Keelan: You can still do it when you listen to this, after the fact. you just y and that way you don't get harassed.
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: but no, I've seen a lot of crap on the on the old on the old Facebook, which is the the appropriate forum to complain about yeah
Isaac: That's the platform of choice. Yeah.
Keelan: about government things. All sorts of of of ranging from I'm not gonna fill in any true data because you know, I don't want you stealing my data. Spoilers, mate. They've got much more than what they ask for.
Isaac: Buddy, you're on Facebook with your full legal name.
Keelan: Arguably it's probably worse to give Facebook your information.
Isaac: Yeah, and and where you live and where you're from. And guess what they know your buying habits 'cause they serve you up ads on there.
Keelan: Hm. Yep.
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: and then I saw I saw one from from someone our age
Isaac: Mm-hmm.
Keelan: earlier today. which spurred the Butcher of the Week nomination, which
Isaac: Mm.
Keelan: was them filling out the census and of you know, you gotta fill it out for everyone in the household and they've got a very young child, like born this year. And then the census still asked, you know, what language does this person speak? It's like, alright, mate, there's no need to there's only to then the caption something along the lines of, government can't even get this right. How can my X month old fucking speak any language? Osgov at Osgov clown emoji. I was I was shook.
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: There's there's there's no need. There's there's absolute no need to complain about the bare minimum.
Isaac: You you want to put in a variable that has some arbitrary cutoff of months on when or when not a child should be speaking so it can determine if they are speaking a language. Yeah.
Keelan: How do you how do you decide? How do you actually decide? Yeah. And it's like you want them spend you w you you want the people to spend more time coding this website so that the cost of the census goes up. Because but th this is the same kind of person that would complain if the co if the census cost more.
Isaac: Mm. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Exactly.
Keelan: Yeah. have you seen that there's also that there's also a a section where you can tick a box for your data to go public after ninety nine years as part of a time capsule?
Isaac: did they have that in the last one? I f I feel like that rings a bell. I th I
Keelan: Can't remember I didn't do it. Because I wasn't the I wasn't the primary person on that one.
Isaac: I see, I see. I think they had that in the last one from memory as well. Fuck yeah.
Keelan: They may have. But importantly, is that not really cool for, you know, maybe not historians per se, but like, you know, any ancestry kind of stuff just
Isaac: But like a ancestry stuff.
Keelan: makes that kind of shit easy.
Isaac: Yeah. Likely won't be alive then. Right. Who knows, right? Medical marvels could happen over the next hundred years. Might be alive. probably we'll be old enough at that age where you just don't give a shit about anything anymore anyway. So
Keelan: pretty unlikely to be living in the same place in ninety nine years too. So on the
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: on if if for example you're the person's X month old that I just mentioned earlier, who might actually be alive when that data goes public,
Isaac: Yep.
Keelan: probably not still living in that house. You'd have to imagine.
Isaac: Y Yes.
Keelan: And on the crazy coincidence that they're also super famous, they'll also be ninety nine and th they're probably
Isaac: Mm-hmm.
Keelan: not gonna get doxxed.
Isaac: Probably not. They'll probably have a Wikipedia about
Keelan: No. And it's yeah.
Isaac: them already.
Keelan: Yeah, and we'll be in some magazine telling everyone exactly where they live anyway, 'cause they'll be in an HK home. So just just tick the box 'cause it might make your future relatives not n not the ones in ninety nine years, but the ones like, you know, another two or three gens down
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: make it easier to find ya.
Isaac: It it would make the family tree very easy.
Keelan: Yep. Yep. And everyone gets to that age where suddenly the most interesting thing in the world, hobby wise, is whipping up a family tree.
Isaac: Mm-hmm. Who do you think you are?
Keelan: Is that like an ancestry tagline or something?
Isaac: Yeah, it's show. That's a show called Who Do You Think You Are? And celebrities go on and figure out their f ancestry.
Keelan: Yeah, nice.
Isaac: And they they, you know, do it with legit historians and librarians and stuff like that. Yeah. Trace it all the way back. Yes. Yeah.
Keelan: No we're about the documents. Make it easier. I mean that TV show is totally cooked in 99 years. But is what it is. Tough.
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: Some sacrifices will have to be made.
Isaac: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Keelan: but yeah, importantly, don't complain about it. the other one, this is why it's butcher of the week, because there's so many different types of census census nufies. The other one is people saying putting in something silly in the religion field. the old classic of putting in I think the I think
Isaac: Do you know?
Keelan: Batuda yeah, putting in Jedi, the classic Batuda,
Isaac: Mm-hmm.
Keelan: the classic meme, sorry, that Batuda then reminded everyone of. yeah, just put down Church of Gandalf, I did not try. I also said, don't talk to me during the podcast. Everyone hates it when I talk to someone that's not mic'd up. Zach and Dan have been telling me that I shouldn't be talking to you.
Isaac: Yeah. And that there should be some sort of punishment for her talking during the podcast. I believe that's what they said too.
Keelan: Yeah. Zach and Zach and Dan said you need a every time you talk in the podcast I think you should have a timeout. What do you what sorry? That's basically what this is. That's basically what this is, she says.
Isaac: Mm. Jokes on the listeners is that there's no one in Gion's house. He's just schizophrenic.
Keelan: Ha ha ha. Yeah. This what happens in Shutter Island? Realises he's actually the one of the inmates or whatever. Spoilers if you haven't fucking seen two thousand and nine film Shutter Island.
Isaac: That's it. Yeah, that's it. Spoilers for Shadow Island. what's that what's that one I referenced earlier this year?
Keelan: it's it's 2010. Dude, I was so close.
Isaac: You're so close. A film guy, huh? Can't even get can't even get the year right.
Keelan: The year is the least important thing about the film.
Isaac: Ha ha.
Keelan: It wasn't even released in some regions in two thousand and nine. I've just I've just completely I've missed it by two months. It was released in February two thousand and ten.
Isaac: Ha ha. what's that one? quantum it it's quantum lape. It's the end of quantum lape.
Keelan: Which one's Quantum Leap? Is that not the one that was Xbox?
Isaac: No. No.
Keelan: no, not the T V show. I'm only getting a T V show for Quantum Late.
Isaac: No, it's a movie.
Keelan: American sci fi television series created by Donald B Donald P. Belisario.
Isaac: No, I'm talking talking about the movie, where there's a very specific scene where he is standing there and then looks in the opens the door of the wardrobe and there's a mirror on the inside and then his reflection reflects back to him. just yeah, realisation.
Keelan: Mirror wardrobe film scene. Cher's Closet from Clueless? Probably not that one. Sh I've been told it's pronounced Cher. I said stuff.
Isaac: Yeah. I don't know, I'll see if I can find it on on YouTube for you.
Keelan: Was it sci fi? Contact the Marisane in contact.
Isaac: That's that's also not it.
Keelan: Well there is a Marisane in contact. You're not thinking inception, are you?
Isaac: No, I'm I'm sending you the link right now. Here you go. What watch that with sound?
Keelan: That'll be great for the pod.
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: Do you want me describe everything I'm saying?
Isaac: Sure.
Keelan: why didn't you just say it's the I'm retarded scene?
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: But it yes.
Isaac: That sort of realisation.
Keelan: What show it is it is a T V show. It was the one I said. Yeah.
Isaac: was it? my mistake.
Keelan: It's okay, everyone does make mistakes. it's it's autoplayed Warhammer video after it because I'm logged in to YouTube. So I might just pop in or I'll pop backstage and watch this holem.
Isaac: Yeah, to it. And he's back.
Keelan: Sorry, I figured out I could go backstage pre show and I I had to I figured I had to use it this episode.
Isaac: Yep.
Keelan: I watched it on three hundred times speed and I've I've digested it all now and ready to go again.
Isaac: Yeah, awesome. Amazing. but yeah, do you census? All your information is like the government's already got it, by the way, in case you're wondering.
Keelan: Yeah. Just different department, they don't like talking, so
Isaac: that's true. That's true. and then when they
Keelan: Their teams does the Microsoft teams tenancies don't allow it.
Isaac: Yeah, then then when they do Robode happens. So Who knows? I either way, do your census. Like they've got your stuff. If you if you want services, if you if you complain about infrastructure and and government provided services,
Keelan: Mm.
Isaac: you're gonna have to do your fucking census. You can't have both.
Keelan: I don't like that it didn't ask about my hobbies though. It only last asked about my primary source of income. It didn't ask
Isaac: Mm.
Keelan: me about the ones that don't earn me enough money that I would like to be my primary source of income.
Isaac: Yeah. How about that government clown face?
Keelan: Well I wasn't gonna
Isaac: Build that into your census next time, you idiot.
Keelan: No, it's probably like actually a good question. It's like what do you you know? I d I don't know. I don't know, man. Maybe that's not the forum for it.
Isaac: Yeah. Yeah, I I I
Keelan: I just I just want a tick box. I want a tick box on the census that says would you like live music to be supported more financially? And
Isaac: Mm.
Keelan: it's yes or yes and then everyone ticks yes and then we get we get more money for venues and bands. Just an idea.
Isaac: Yeah, good point. here's a thought.
Keelan: Gone.
Isaac: make festival tickets not six hundred dollars.
Keelan: Good things just got announced. two hundred and eighty dollars for a day.
Isaac: For one day.
Keelan: Yeah, limp biscuit are plain if you like them.
Isaac: Yeah, but that's like more money than people earn in a day.
Keelan: this is on a Sunday in in Brisbane so it'd be Sunday raids. So that that's but it could it could be what they earn at a day. but yeah, no, I'm not overly fast on the lineup, so I'm not going.
Isaac: Fair enough.
Keelan: Yeah. The two bands are like a a smaller and hopefully doing other shows that so I don't have to go spend a whole fucking day in the sun. Hmm.
Isaac: Yeah, yeah.
Keelan: Festival in December.
Isaac: Sounds like a great time.
Keelan: Yeah, fucking horrible. Especially if it's like if we get another forty degree down here, that'll be dog shite.
Isaac: Yeah, that'll be literally cooked.
Keelan: Yeah. I think I actually remember last year's Good Things in Sydney was during like the three hottest days.
Isaac: Mm.
Keelan: I was like w wandering around going, Yeah, I'm glad I'm not actually at that
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: but yeah, what's your nomination?
Isaac: I've got also idiots on social media, this time Instagram. in particular, AFL fans that forget other sports exist. So
Keelan: Not obviously.
Isaac: I had a clip a clip from S E N radio come across my feed that
Keelan: Mm.
Isaac: was talking about a rebrand being underway for the Giants. Obviously earlier this year we had a bit of a discussion around the Giants
Keelan: Yeah.
Isaac: rebranding to I don't know, maybe something a bit catchier than Greater Western Sydney Giants. or something that reflects their location a bit better than a a place that people don't say they're from, in greater Western Sydney. and I and there was people in in the comments of this discussion about the Giants Rare Brand complaining
Keelan: Mm.
Isaac: about Central Canberra bloody blah. what they didn't pick up on, which they would have if they listened to more than six seconds of the almost minute clip, was that the two ladies on radio were talking about the Giant Super Netball team. And and and not the AFL team. So
Keelan: That's shocking form that.
Isaac: Yeah, well done.
Keelan: I don't know what goes
Isaac: Well done too.
Keelan: through your head in order to feel the need to comment on something publicly d when you haven't watched the whole thing you're commenting on.
Isaac: Yep. Yep.
Keelan: Maybe if it's a thirty minute thing I understand, maybe commenting on a specific part.
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: But when it's a one minute Instagram video, just watch the whole fucking thing. You can hold down the
Isaac: Yep, it was an Instagram.
Keelan: the side of your screen to watch it two times if you really can't be asked.
Isaac: Exactly. Instagram real. like I don't know what what the biggest giveaway was on there. The fact that they didn't reference the AFL once in the caption or the fact that the two ladies who were talking aren't recognizable S E N AFL personalities or commentators. I've I've never seen them
Keelan: Well, neither away.
Isaac: before in my life.
Keelan: and the other giveaway was the caption saying Super Nipple Club Moval.
Isaac: To be fair, it was a bit clickbaity and it said, a rebrand is on the horizon for the giants. Dot dot.
Keelan: Hmm
Isaac: But
Keelan: That's the social media person also not no not understanding that the thing besides that it's the opposite, them not understanding that the AFL team exists. Probably.
Isaac: Yeah, ma I think they knew what they were doing, but regardless, it it would have taken four and a half seconds and no critical thinking skills to understand they weren't talking about AFL. No.
Keelan: Not even critical thinking, like you j just actual thinking.
Isaac: Well, not even. You could have heard them say Netball in the clip. you wouldn't have have just had to think about it.
Keelan: True. on the Giants, I've had an idea.
Isaac: Mm-hmm.
Keelan: The Greater West and Sydney Giants, that is. maybe an Olympic themed two thousand Olympic themed rebrand. no longer the Giants. We're going with the either the Platypus, the Kucoboras, or the Echidnas for the one of the three mascots for the Sydney Olympic Games.
Isaac: Mm.
Keelan: Probably Sid, 'cause that was the platypus. And they're in Sydney. Just call them the Olympic Park Sydneys.
Isaac: Mm.
Keelan: They are what it says on the tin.
Isaac: I feel like Isn't a swan's mascot named Sid?
Keelan: Almost definitely. Sid this one.
Isaac: no, Siggy. 'Cause he's a signet.
Keelan: I th I thought that was unofficial 'cause it sounds like cigarette.
Isaac: Yeah. no, it is. Sid Siggy Skilton.
Keelan: There you go. Okay, well they could be Ollie, the cuckoo. Olympic park cuckobaras.
Isaac: The ollies out at Olympic Park. Nice.
Keelan: Mm-hmm. although the Ollies is the name of the under twenty one's Australian football team. The Olly Roos.
Isaac: Mm, the olives. Yeah.
Keelan: So we're gonna have to go with the Millies, which is the Echidna.
Isaac: that seems fine. It's probably not better than giants, is it?
Keelan: No, but also given that GWS fans just kinda mill about and don't really get up and around them, that's probably appropriate.
Isaac: Good point. Good point.
Keelan: I should just move the camera.
Isaac: Probably. there there was, you know, someone floating the discussion on radio about why like all the other two team towns, why don't they play at the same stadium? It's a fair question, but the Swans wouldn't get around it at all. But like You know, both Adelaide teams play out of Neoval. Both Perth teams play out of Perth Stadium. You got a a zillion clubs using two grounds in Melbourne.
Keelan: Yeah, but that might actually make some scheduling issues. Keep the flexibility. Moving to Canberra. Moving to Manoka. The
Isaac: W would it? I don't I don't think they
Keelan: honey hole.
Isaac: they should move them to the honey hole, to be fair. I don't I I don't think they have a schedule
Keelan: Emma ever made a noise. It's called the honey hole because it's honey and it's a hole. It's a camera.
Isaac: Yeah. Correct.
Keelan: Sorry, I'm talking to the figment of my imagination again.
Isaac: The I I f I feel like they don't even schedule two games on the same weekend in Sydney anyway. 'Cause it balanced them out. I feel like they do a similar thing to like Brisbane Gold Coast where they do like
Keelan: Maybe.
Isaac: alternating weeks, even though they're not the same city. That's how the radio coverage works. They they just go to the other one, the local guys.
Keelan: Mm.
Isaac: no.
Keelan: Couldn't tell ya. But Sydney wouldn't get around it anyway. No.
Isaac: No, no, no not a chance. Not a chance.
Keelan: And then no legitimately no one would go to that. I don't think
Isaac: Well
Keelan: you'd have people by the bar the fan club go to all the way from the Greater Western Sydney area to fucking the SCG.
Isaac: I mean probably not, but I mean they're already going all the way to Olympic Park.
Keelan: Yeah, but you're in Parramato it's not that far to Olympic Park.
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: There's tons of parking too. Try to park at the SCG?
Isaac: I haven't, personally.
Keelan: Doesn't really look as much.
Isaac: No, probably not.
Keelan: Tons of training if I've been to Sardine though.
Isaac: Yeah, well there you go. What do you need parking for?
Keelan: I like side in.
Isaac: Well, I don't know, have a shower so you're not so oily.
Keelan: Nice. which which group of numpties gets the gets the
Isaac: Census.
Keelan: census numpties?
Isaac: Yeah. Steal my data numpties.
Keelan: Same people are putting stickers
Isaac: Get the nomination.
Keelan: on the back of their phones 'cause of the five G.
Isaac: They're way behind the trend then. Well, very, very part time guest co host Matt. I've been doing that for years.
Keelan: No, that's what I'm saying. I'm saying it's the same group of people. N yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah.
Isaac: it's the same group. Sorry, sorry, I didn't hear that. I thought you said they've started. yes, absolutely.
Keelan: Matt, if you're listening, don't add a joke to your set about how the census is stealing your data.
Isaac: I did see one it was a photo comment under a Facebook post. Someone just just posted the photo of the inside of a cap with foil pushed into it. So you can't see that they're wearing a foil tid foil hat.
Keelan: Undercover nubdi.
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: Nice. but I guess that's it for butchers.
Isaac: Yeah. Yeah. Any movement?
Keelan: Absolutely zero. Zilch Zada Zun. As they say.
Isaac: Right, should we get to do it on the footy?
Keelan: Yeah, all right me
Isaac: Round twenty two. Hold on. We do have a button for this. Just takes ten years to do.
Keelan: Yeah, for some reason the app still doesn't still doesn't let me there. So explain that.
Isaac: Really?
Keelan: Yeah. Yeah, nice, mate.
Isaac: Every time. round twenty two recaps.
Keelan: Yeah you actually Yeah you actually went ahead and pressed it that time. Yeah.
Isaac: Here go. Yeah. all right, on a Thursday night, at Marvel we had Western Bulldogs eleven eleven seventy seven North Melbourne, fifteen ten one hundred.
Keelan: I've written a poem for this, actually.
Isaac: Ooh.
Keelan: Yup. Curtis flew high, wardlore ran hard, kanga kanga kanga poetry is difficult.
Isaac: D very good.
Keelan: Thank you. I didn't even get a laugh out of Emma.
Isaac: Mm.
Keelan: the one thing she was meant to be fucking paying attention to. I said, Hey, you'll like this one. It was shit.
Isaac: Yeah. Hey just tell her she doesn't understand art.
Keelan: Emma Isaac says you don't understand art.
Isaac: all right. and I had the Snow White Boomers bound away from the dogs to keep Christmas and August Miracle alive. Thank
Keelan: Does.
Isaac: you.
Keelan: yeah, I I wrote mine because the standouts for me were Curtis and and Wardlaw. w w Curtis obviously with four goals and fucking mark of the year just like casually on the wing.
Isaac: yeah, just whatever. Easy as you like.
Keelan: Yeah. Just went to work, really.
Isaac: Yep.
Keelan: and Wardlaw, who I believe wasn't playing the week before, because I would have noticed that. Yeah, he's back he was back in and Jesus Christ, he was just running after it was it was like a rabid dog, dude.
Isaac: It was tenacious.
Keelan: He was very that's yeah, that's put maybe the best word for him. He was incredibly
Isaac: Mm.
Keelan: tenacious.
Isaac: He he he was playing tenacious D with his tackling.
Keelan: ultimately that pick has improved the kangaroo's destiny.
Isaac: Nice. Very good.
Keelan: That was a nice alley oop, I think. Good
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: team effort that one.
Isaac: Very nice.
Keelan: but yeah, they do legitimately look at different team with him.
Isaac: yeah.
Keelan: because look, if you if you watch LDU, not sure if look he he looks like the best player in the league three times a year, which I I've heard other people say this week.
Isaac: Accurate.
Keelan: but i if you do watch him, when he's not looking good, he's absolutely not putting in any defensive effort whatsoever. Zero.
Isaac: But when he is looking
Keelan: So
Isaac: good like he was this week with thirty one touches, two goals and ten tackles, he goes both ways.
Keelan: Those tackles are to advance the ball, not to not to defend. Yeah.
Isaac: Yes. Proactive tackling.
Keelan: or potentially Clarko gave him an absolute spray in the rooms after seeing him walk half of the hock game.
Isaac: Mm. Mm.
Keelan: Wardlaw only had four tackles, but I think he had tackle of the game.
Isaac: Two of counted as ten.
Keelan: Yeah, there was one where the camera was on. I can't remember who was kicking the goal and it won't show in the stats 'cause it wasn't a goal. Whoever was kicking inside fifty, cameras on him, you're just
Isaac: Yep. Waltzing into it.
Keelan: like, no worries, he's gonna absolutely nail this, and then just like freight train wardlord, wow pow. Yeah.
Isaac: Yeah, nowhere. Yeah.
Keelan: It was literally that ASD ASDF movie thing. Basically this dude said I like trains and then it just kinda waited a second, then Wardlord rolled him. As if I rage it into the archives.
Isaac: And Mm mm, mm hmm. But yeah, he just seems to attack the footy in straight line.
Keelan: Yeah. Whether that's at the
Isaac: No matter
Keelan: contest or or further afield, yeah.
Isaac: Yeah. Yeah. So looking better with him.
Keelan: The fastest way to the ball is through it.
Isaac: True. Accurate. Accurate.
Keelan: Real. Mm-hmm.
Isaac: but yeah, very slim chance that they can still make the the bottom of the wild card slots, but it's not completely over yet.
Keelan: Yeah, Susteladdie. there Ooh
Isaac: And they do have Geelong and Sydney. So not exactly walkovers for the Ruse, unfortunately for them.
Keelan: yeah, unfortunately Carlton's gonna have to not win anything.
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: Is the is the only way they get in, and then Sankilder and Gilgas have to not win anything as well. 'cause they're worse on percentage. Carlton have to get whacked.
Isaac: Yep. A and yeah, not Carl Nathan not win anything else pretty bad.
Keelan: like quite bad. Yeah.
Isaac: Yep. Yep.
Keelan: so it's unfortunate. But hey, they put in a valiant effort.
Isaac: That did.
Keelan: Sometimes.
Isaac: Winning season, what did they have last year? I think they had five wins or four wins.
Keelan: Yeah, not a lot. I can get
Isaac: the ruse last year, so
Keelan: the facts for you if you'd like.
Isaac: don't let the facts get in the way a good story. Either way, even though they're not making wild card,
Keelan: Five.
Isaac: you you think it's gotta be a w a productive season for them.
Keelan: Five and a draw last gym. Yep.
Isaac: Five and a draw, five and a half wins last year, up to nine this year. with Clarko due to coming out of contract end of next year. I wouldn't be extending him
Keelan: Mm.
Isaac: just yet. I think you're gonna you gotta be in the mix for wild
Keelan: Make the wild card next year.
Isaac: card like halfway through next year to to get an extension there.
Keelan: Just positive signs. the Bulldogs def kil but defeating the Bulldogs is the first time they've defeated a top eight opponent since Clarko's been there.
Isaac: Really? Trending up.
Keelan: Came close. I believe I believe the dr their draw last year was Brisbane. unless that was the year before. They have drawn with Brisbane in Tasmania in the last two years. At
Isaac: Yeah, right.
Keelan: the at the Thunder sorry, the fucking air fryer dome.
Isaac: Sure. What hold on, hold on, hold on.
Keelan: I could probably just look at who else had draws last year, no? Brisbane did have a draw last year. They were the only other team to have a draw last year, so that would work out pretty well mathematically. So
Isaac: Is that accurate? Surely the Suns were in the top eight. when North Melbourne beat them without being in front during the game.
Keelan: That's an AFL website stat. It's not even a
Isaac: Incorrect. The Suns were like top five or top six when they lost two and and shit just fell apart in that game.
Keelan: That's like an everyone's been saying it stat. There's no way. Yeah, it literally has beaten a top eight opponent for the first time in the Alistair Clarkson era. Where do they defeat the Suns?
Isaac: Round eleven.
Keelan: So I go to ladder round eleven. Yeah, what the hell? This is the shittest stats since the beginning of stats. It's just factually inaccurate.
Isaac: The the Suns just don't exist.
Keelan: Unless, to be fair, unless they're suggesting that they're gonna be a top eight opponent by the end of the season, which I don't I don't think they're gonna be.
Isaac: That's not how the stat works, right?
Keelan: Yeah. W I was leaning in that point that maybe it's like a like a Premier League big six stat in the way that Tottenham is the Premier League Big Six but were almost relegated last year. Last season.
Isaac: Hold on, hold on, hold on. Round what was the ladder at round ten? Cause it was it was it was I'm having a look. It was worded
Keelan: I can get you those stats. They were fourth.
Isaac: it was worded weirdly in that they haven't defeated an opponent above them on the ladder. I was like, the ruse weren't three, were they? when they met? And they weren't.
Keelan: No, they were they were they were there were twelve, no. So I I think this is actually just bad stats.
Isaac: Bight during his bet season seven years,
Keelan: They were saying it live during the commentary as well on Fox.
Isaac: Northwoods yet to beat an opponent above it on the ladder before facing eighth place Bulldogs. J just inaccurate.
Keelan: So ultimately, every s yeah.
Isaac: Butcher of the week I d IFL reporting.
Keelan: I'll give it a shit list.
Isaac: Definitely. Yeah. There's a movement for ya.
Keelan: Alright, so that's a retrospective shitless nomination for every statistician who was feeding the commentary team on Thursday night footy, for
Isaac: And forgot the Goldcrest Sons exist.
Keelan: yeah, just for blatantly forgetting that North beat the Gold Coast Suns in what, round eleven did we say, or round ten? Yeah. So
Isaac: Yep. Round eleven.
Keelan: that was this season, mind you. So that's poor form. And look, if you have any insight as to why that stat existed incorrectly, let us know. But f for now, it just a as it's presented is wrong. So tough.
Isaac: But all right, moving on.
Keelan: Yeah, before he gets mad about it. What's next game? I'm still on the ladder.
Isaac: Friday night at the Gabba.
Keelan: Thanks, mate. nah, nah, nah nah nah nah nah nah. We nah this just nah. Yeah, thanks.
Isaac: Saturday afternoon. Friday North the Cap of Brisbane Lions eighteen seventeen one twenty five, Hawthorne eighteen fifty eight.
Keelan: yeah, Hawthorne lost, but I ain't spending any time on it. because once every three months a person is torn to pieces by a soul water crocodile in farth north Queensland.
Isaac: Fair enough. Yeah, no. But yeah. That's all you got. Fair fair enough.
Keelan: Yeah, that's all I got. Not happy about it.
Isaac: Fair enough. I had the greatest Lowman Kai put on a blockbuster performance, covering the stats sheet in a broad way. Five goals and twenty four disposals as the Lions tune themselves up for the main stage against the Hawks.
Keelan: So I was on the g I was on the Gold Coast slash Ipswitch on the weekend and so I I
Isaac: Mm.
Keelan: packed I packed scarf, I packed Guernsey, I packed hat and I packed a shirt to wear under the Guernsey and I whipped them all out and sat on Emma's parents couch on Friday night. entertained everyone by turning up in the full kit
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: and then got whacked.
Isaac: Hm.
Keelan: And it was just laughed at me.
Isaac: That's a that's a yeah, that's a tough look. Big sitting there in a big sixty seven point defeat. No good. Tough night the office.
Keelan: but guess what? afterwards I I was I was in the chat. We're talking we're talking all sorts of memes in the in the hox system chat, such as be a goldfish.
Isaac: Yep. Noted meme.
Keelan: Jacob sent through the the scene with the famous quote, The only way to watch it back is at ten times the speed and with the Benny Hill theme music playing underneath it and edited Sam Mitchell over over Ted's head and, you know, the game over the Richmond game.
Isaac: Nice, yep.
Keelan: big offish and belief. I hit him with the belief. It's all good.
Isaac: Blife, yep. Blife.
Keelan: It's all good. Flaglock twenty six.
Isaac: Still above them on the letter.
Keelan: Yeah, sucks is suck idiots. Good luck going
Isaac: Ha.
Keelan: to Freo, you fucking pricks. Wouldn't want to see them at the gather in September though. Just just quietly.
Isaac: Look. No. No. not quite the the setup into spoiler season that I was hoping for. With Q Clash coming this week, up at the Gabba.
Keelan: Nah nah, my stupid honappeal hit harder. Yeah. Yeah, very well.
Isaac: Yeah, true. Not ideal for the hawks, but I don't think it's terrible.
Keelan: No, we're winning the next two, so it's fine.
Isaac: Like yeah, you're not in crumple zone. You've got the pies, whatever. Good game. Could be. and then West Coast round twenty four. Should be alright.
Keelan: Yeah, in it to win it kind of territory. It's all all that needs to happen here, ultimately, so
Isaac: Yep. Yep. Iron up a spoilers on ladder position, but iron up a SCG final, perhaps.
Keelan: I would
Isaac: Papers on it.
Keelan: I would if I if I wasn't going to Melbourne that weekend.
Isaac: ho far out.
Keelan: Yeah, look. I I probably wouldn't
Isaac: Talk about timing.
Keelan: go to the footy myself anyway, to be fair. It might do.
Isaac: For final.
Keelan: Went to praline last year and I got a fucking quality final dude. Ugh.
Isaac: Yeah, I guess. my god.
Keelan: Biggest can't be choosers, I suppose. if I if I if I'm here I I will be there.
Isaac: Fair enough.
Keelan: The music in your in your in your background?
Isaac: That was a motorbike.
Keelan: shit.
Isaac: It sounded like a mosquito it ripped past so quick.
Keelan: Mind you, your house isn't isn't close to the road.
Isaac: Yeah, it's not like terribly far away, but it's
Keelan: giving Reinbald more info to play with.
Isaac: Yeah, it it's what, ma a a couple hundred like hundred and fifty, maybe two hundred meters away from the road.
Keelan: Yeah, they know they say w sound travels fast over freshly trimmed grass. Hmm.
Isaac: That's true, yeah. Yeah, it's looking pretty smooth down there besides the big bog holes where I was ankle deep in mud trying to pull the Mowery out of it.
Keelan: Sucks to suck.
Isaac: Yeah. Besides that.
Keelan: Besides it's all it's all smaller, yeah.
Isaac: Yeah, yeah. I think Yeah,
Keelan: I'm happy to move along from this game though, mind you. Fuck
Isaac: spoiler season's still on banana peel on these two teams don't like each other. Redshell, et cetera, et cetera this week.
Keelan: Yeah, let's see the Brisbane Lions in a in a in a in a wild card slot. That'd be great. I'd love that for everyone else.
Isaac: all right. Saturday afternoon, MCG Melbourne seventeen eleven one thirteen, Fremantle seventeen seven one nine.
Keelan: the MC Demons strike again, beginning Freo's downfall just in time for finals.
Isaac: Mm. Could this be the start of the minor premiership curse?
Keelan: People are saying it.
Isaac: Yeah. They are Fremantle are two games clear. They've got the crows and the and the blues.
Keelan: Which is which is a pretty red hot finish, mind you. That's
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: tough.
Isaac: Swans have bombers in North Melbourne. So maybe they won't hold on to that top
Keelan: I mean for f f
Isaac: spot.
Keelan: for Freo at least at least they're playing they're not playing Adelaide in Adelaide.
Isaac: Yeah, true. Good point. Good point. all right, what did I have? I had the demons regain their MCG credentials. Salem's lot returning to the home ground as their premiership parable works its way through another chapter, Downing the Dockers.
Keelan: Nice. I don't wanna see these
Isaac: Thank you.
Keelan: guys in in I don't w I don't wanna see either of these teams in September, thanks.
Isaac: No, especially not at the MCG.
Keelan: Or Optus. At at just at either of their respective home grounds, thanks.
Isaac: Or or Optus. Yeah.
Keelan: Hm.
Isaac: Take a final at Docklands.
Keelan: Hey guys, looking to sell a home final to Marvel Stadium. Thanks.
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: Only if that's okay. Thank you. Yeah.
Isaac: Yeah. Un unfortunately, Morara Stadium in in Darwin won't be available 'cause it'll be in cricket mode.
Keelan: What about T I O?
Isaac: Also that
Keelan: Unfortunate.
Isaac: For commercial purposes.
Keelan: Was it the same ground?
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: How embarrassing.
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: Yeah, look, I was Balls even Magic the Gathering when this game was on, so didn't watch it.
Isaac: Yeah, I was I was I was watching game film and it wasn't this game.
Keelan: I came here to watch game film and true bubble gum and I'm all out of gum.
Isaac: Yeah. r regardless, yeah. You don't you don't want to play either of these teams. They're both
Keelan: No.
Isaac: really good.
Keelan: It was a high scoring game too.
Isaac: Yeah. So I think the fifteenth game of the year where both teams score over a hundred points.
Keelan: Mm.
Isaac: Who doesn't like the stand rule, hey?
Keelan: I've had an idea here. Right, you know how demons put Harrison Petty forward?
Isaac: Yep.
Keelan: Well, Jai Amos is arguably Frio's what, third or fourth tall?
Isaac: Yep, sure.
Keelan: So hear me out. Well they probably should have done. is put put their one of their key defenders in defence.
Isaac: Mm.
Keelan: Although actually his his AFL website has updated to key forward.
Isaac: Well there go. Prove you wrong in it. He did also lead the scoring for the demons, so
Keelan: He did. But he he might have stopped Giamas's five.
Isaac: Maybe. Didn't matter. Didn't matter in the end.
Keelan: No, no.
Isaac: We'll we'll y you guys will score seventeen and we'll also score seventeen, but we'll kick four more behind. That was
Keelan: Yeah, like yeah, you got
Isaac: their approach.
Keelan: Shout out to Bailey Fritch's five behinds for mostly getting f the demons across the line.
Isaac: Getting them over the line. Yeah, exactly. Harrison Petty did a little bald spot rub on himself celebration. You see that one?
Keelan: that's that's incredible. He should he should get reported for taunting.
Isaac: After yeah, after after Voss got him on the ball spot earlier in the year. He
Keelan: Zing.
Isaac: he he on radio he alleged he didn't he wasn't even thinking about it, but come on.
Keelan: I mean
Isaac: You can't be rubbing your own bald spot and not not plan that out.
Keelan: It's good luck.
Isaac: Yeah, true.
Keelan: Yeah.
Isaac: Good point. Guess it worked. Got the win.
Keelan: for for good stats for Frio in this game, Jay Amos is Frio's first fifty goal forward since Pavlic. Yeah, in a season, mind you, sorry. Yeah, yeah.
Isaac: In a season, yep, yep, yep.
Keelan: And then Josh Tracy joined him.
Isaac: In the same game. nice. Well then.
Keelan: Yep. Pretty immense.
Isaac: Yeah, having a good year.
Keelan: yeah, I think I think Amos is having a good time being third forward.
Isaac: Yeah. Getting getting the third best defender. Possibly even fourth if if the third tallest is going to Mason Cox.
Keelan: It's Yeah, it's how the how people are gonna have to figure out how to defend Ben King next year. sorry. Sorry about it.
Isaac: Yeah. That's
Keelan: Or alternatively, probably Charles realistically becomes Who's the third best in that group? Yeah, figure that out.
Isaac: Out of who?
Keelan: Charles Lewis and King.
Isaac: Whose Who's not number one?
Keelan: King. 'Cause he's 'cause he's I no I g no no no no no no no I get that. I get that
Isaac: The the bloke who's second in the Coleman medal is not getting the best defender every week.
Keelan: I get that. But also Harris Andrews went to Mitch Lewis on the weekend because he b because Mitch Lewis is the biggest frame there. If you get me. Yeah.
Isaac: Right. Right.
Keelan: Yeah. And does a lot of work further up the ground. And so he cut
Isaac: Yes.
Keelan: him off there. So I don't think I don't think Harris Andrews goes to Van King.
Isaac: No, I I don't think he does regardless anyway.
Keelan: in that situation is what I mean. Yeah. I d I don't know necessarily who's first, second and third best. I mean who who does the first, second and third best defender go to? Which aren't necessarily the same thing.
Isaac: Mm-hmm.
Keelan: Because if you're picking who the first best is, it's it's w the weirds. But Harris Andrew doesn't Harris Andrews doesn't go to the Weiz. 'Cause that would be dumb.
Isaac: regardless, I don't think Chol gets the third best defender.
Keelan: You're gonna get second? Fourth? Wild.
Isaac: No. Yeah.
Keelan: He's gonna be taking mark of the year on the kids next year, dude.
Isaac: He'd be taking almost mark of the year on the kids next year. As he's one to do.
Keelan: Hey hey hey yeah shut up We we've got one nomination for almost Mark of the Year in the spreadsheet in under Drop of
Isaac: Yeah, perfect.
Keelan: the Year and it's Mac Andrew and there's absolutely no way I'm recording any others because it was a it was the screamer that never will.
Isaac: That hey, that that was a hell of a ride.
Keelan: It was large, yeah. Would have been
Isaac: Yeah, yeah.
Keelan: really cool if he actually, I don't know, fucking did the thing, but anyway. Yeah.
Isaac: Yeah, that's true. That's true. But as far as can't catch a child, we know when's that at times. Yeah. Yeah.
Keelan: Can't catch a c child, can't kick a gall child. Nah, fuck him. You love him, I love him.
Isaac: That's true.
Keelan: Gonna have to get the troll head onto carry on baggage at some point.
Isaac: That'd be fine.
Keelan: Yeah, grandfather on day, fit in a carry on.
Isaac: you just go carry on carry on your clothes and check it in.
Keelan: Yeah.
Isaac: Check that in. Bloody hell. Plus you. Goodness me. Good. Was bloody wood yesterday. Yeah.
Keelan: Bless you. Blown away, fucking hell. I thought it was windy yesterday, though. I walked into the wind and it literally was like blowing me around. Like it was Yeah, it was crazy. Anyway. the next game was Swanport.
Isaac: SCG Sydney twenty six eleven one hundred and sixty seven port ten ten seventy.
Keelan: I've got a cagey start, but ultimately Sydney landed the knockout blow in the second quarter and just wouldn't stop until there was nothing left of the of the port but a bloody pulp on the beautiful S C. Deck.
Isaac: Accurate.
Keelan: Yeah, I went into this with Stop It He's Already Dead and then and then made it bigger. Yeah.
Isaac: Yep, smart. no surprise that Errol Silver Golden navigated
Keelan: Mm.
Isaac: his way with ace through port with the swans swooping on a big feast of premier chip points.
Keelan: I think we do call him Silver from now on. That's great. That's incredible
Isaac: Yeah. Yeah.
Keelan: areas. That's that's you know when we got the chocolates to the thing where the people text in the nicknames they've got for people?
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: Yeah. That that's that's that kind of area. Good made his name his last name's Garden, so we call him Silver and then they all go, woohoo ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho
Isaac: Yeah, definitely. I'll be up there. Yeah. Ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho yeah, yeah. Yeah. Then
Keelan: especially the guy with the moustache. That's like this lit literally this this tall.
Isaac: Yeah. Yeah. Then then the one guy doesn't get it, but then he does.
Keelan: Yep. Yep, that's the format. That that
Isaac: Mm-hmm.
Keelan: He's reading the script, wait four seconds to get it. Yeah. One S P
Isaac: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Keelan: two SP three, Mrs. P four.
Isaac: No no commendations on premier chip points.
Keelan: Huh?
Isaac: The Seagulls to get onto?
Keelan: nice. Sorry, I was I was
Isaac: Ha ha ha.
Keelan: I was too busy thinking about the the who's got the chocolates bit what I was gonna do.
Isaac: Yeah, fair enough.
Keelan: but that is also quite good. and it's not all bad news for Port, it's worse news.
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: I think think Jason Horn Francis went off with an injury, right?
Isaac: I think he did, yeah.
Keelan: Yeah. I mean they're not playing finals, so
Isaac: Yep. Suspected hyperextinction of his knee. Pack it up.
Keelan: y he's actually listed as a test, so that's probably fine.
Isaac: Yeah, pack it up. I wouldn't bother, mate.
Keelan: There's really no point if we peruse the current standings on the ladder.
Isaac: What y what are you what are you gonna do? Absolutely guarantee you're gonna not get a better draft pick?
Keelan: Mm.
Isaac: Like they're two two games either direction up or down on the ladder. Probably not gonna charge anything anyway.
Keelan: They are playing at home though. Maybe maybe he'll play this one if he if he's well, but he'll play at half effort and then just not play away to Essendon.
Isaac: he's definitely not playing that one.
Keelan: No, he's staying home, he's done for the season. Pokemon. Get him on the get him on the plane to wherever he's wherever his fucking holiday is early.
Isaac: yeah.
Keelan: Get the holiday done.
Isaac: You reckon they'll bother rolling him out for Melbourne?
Keelan: I think so just because last time game. If he's listed as a test, I think I think they will. Or listed
Isaac: Yeah. Yeah.
Keelan: as a test to make people buy fucking tickets and then late out. Yeah.
Isaac: Yeah. That's it. Gotta they gotta put bums on seats somehow and they don't have rosy or butters in there. So
Keelan: Yeah. it'll be it w it will be
Isaac: It's good strategy.
Keelan: Yeah. this just in twenty three minutes ago.
Isaac: Mm-hmm.
Keelan: Butters is pushing to play Port's final game of the season. But he's listed as out for the season.
Isaac: Interesting.
Keelan: Damian Barrett quoted by saying Butters has up to sixteen million reasons to not play for Port again this year.
Isaac: Yep. Each of those reasons are one dollar, in case anyone's wondering what they are. Yeah.
Keelan: Yes. and to clarify all those offers from Richmond, Collingwood, Bulldogs and Geelong so far alleged. So yeah, there you go.
Isaac: Yeah. Yeah. You wouldn't You wouldn't bother, would you?
Keelan: Unless he actually cares about the fans. but I don't know why yeah, I don't know why you do that in at Marvel.
Isaac: But he it's not a home game anyway. They're not they're probably not gonna travel.
Keelan: Well if you wants to be a Melbourne, maybe go check out the Collingwood facility.
Isaac: Yeah, they are there on Sunday to be fair, so he'll go on Saturday lunchtime and go
Keelan: Yeah.
Isaac: go see if their facilities are any good.
Keelan: Yeah, why not?
Isaac: Point. Yeah, hadn't thought of that.
Keelan: but yeah, look, o obviously a bit of a nothing game, kinda exactly what we thought ha would happen w kinda happened. So go figure.
Isaac: Hey you Port had him in the first quarter. By two f two points at the first break.
Keelan: As we know, Footy's played over four of them. F famously.
Isaac: It is. Yeah, that that's that's how quarters tend to go.
Keelan: I'll do it.
Isaac: Please don't leave me by myself.
Keelan: I'll fuck I don't even have to walk off anymore. I can just
Isaac: For fuck's sake, he's gone he's gone behind the curtain.
Keelan: Ha
Isaac: Please don't please don't go behind the curtain again.
Keelan: The great thing is, when you go backstage, you you still see what the other person's doing.
Isaac: really?
Keelan: So you know when you can enter again and I just waited just for you to get awkward enough just then
Isaac: I I I love that you went like mid sentence as well, like mid word it just cut out. That's great.
Keelan: Yeah. Mm hmm. yeah, I'd say my timing on the way back in was a lot like those bungee jumps where they just touched the water.
Isaac: Yep.
Keelan: Yeah.
Isaac: Just just get the hair wet.
Keelan: Yeah. but yeah, I don't know. We can move on to the next p shit game if you want.
Isaac: Sure. at the Cattery.
Keelan: Just absolute tripe.
Isaac: Geelong seventeen fifteen one seventeen. Essendon seven eight fifty.
Keelan: I've got Dogwater F C turned up at the caterery and got promptly removed from the venue.
Isaac: That might be one of the best worst ones you've done this year.
Keelan: Thank you. It is a it's a it's a it's a tough format to to to work on the best worst ones, yeah. It's
Isaac: Like yeah, it's it's very hard to hit that category perfectly because you've got to not put in effort but still do well.
Keelan: Yeah. It it's absolutely it's it's the min maxing of of headlines, isn't
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: it? I l I looked at the score for this and went, yeah, no shit. I I would like There's only so many Essendon losses you can write about and I'm not I'm not here to I'm not here to praise Geelong. I'm just I'm just I'm just gonna find a new way to t to call Essendon bad, aren't I?
Isaac: Th third back page from the of the paper, Geelong one seventeen, Esidan fifty, dash, and no shit.
Keelan: Yeah. No article. Yeah.
Isaac: By Staff Riders. Very good. All right. I had Geelong fans singing Ole Ole Ole Ole Ole Ole As Henry and Dempsey draw with the Dons as the rest of the cats kicked nine to knock them over.
Keelan: that's so cursed.
Isaac: Ha ha ha.
Keelan: S and D No Bad but I didn't think they were not defeating two players bad mm.
Isaac: Yeah. Yeah. If if if it was only against them they would have come away with a couple of points.
Keelan: Hm. Nah, they're better off not winning anything to the end of the year anyway, aren't they?
Isaac: Unfortunately there's Yeah, correct. Correct. The only I don't know, positive out of this game was the Geelong Kitts. That wasn't that wasn't a New Zealand pronunciation of the team. I mean the retro Guernseys that they wore.
Keelan: yeah, my favourite team is Digilong Kits. That's great. Yeah. they do look good. Yeah, see how sensible
Isaac: Yeah. Got the retro logo, got a colour on there.
Keelan: is that a is that a somewhat retro forward logo T?
Isaac: Yeah, looks like it.
Keelan: In the way that it's got a box around it at least, so
Isaac: Yeah, it's got a box around it. It's a lovely lovely blue colour. Tell you what, that's a very navy blue though. No short shorts are very dark.
Keelan: Not sure if they match.
Isaac: No, that's that's what I'm thinking.
Keelan: Mm, maybe they ran out and had to get some from the carton rooms. Ask the ask the Don th
Isaac: Well
Keelan: the the bombers to bring across from
Isaac: Yeah, possibly. Or they may maybe they wore the bombers pants and they're actually black and then the cats were like, actually here
Keelan: that would make sense. Why why
Isaac: you go. Here's here's some training shorts for you guys to wear.
Keelan: Yeah.
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: Mm.
Isaac: Mm. Would have been a yeah, it would have been really confusing if the bombers wore black shorts. you would yeah, it would have been really hard to tell who the home team was at the Cattery.
Keelan: No.
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: I am sick of Geelong.
Isaac: Yeah. Yeah.
Keelan: And them always being in the news for something negative the entire club has done. Or I saw a reel earlier that was just like a highlight reel of things Geelong has gotten away with but other people haven't. Like when Clarko had to publicly apologize for something he said to a journalist or something, and then there's just a clip of Chris Scott r ragging journalists. there was a player that passed out drunk and then got like a few games banned. But then One of the Geelong fellas got absolutely nothing. What's his name?
Isaac: I think it was only last week that Chris Scott made like a no comment sort of comment about the umpiring as well.
Keelan: Mm, he does that.
Isaac: With no repercussion. Like
Keelan: Mm.
Isaac: they won by twenty five and then he still went, the free kick count like twenty to seven you know, maybe maybe we should ask questions about that. Or something along those lines.
Keelan: I feel like journalists should be allowed to say, just give away less free kicks then.
Isaac: Yeah, well,
Keelan: kind of funny.
Isaac: that would be funny.
Keelan: Yeah, maybe your players should stop holding the ball so much. Maybe you should teach your
Isaac: Yeah. But
Keelan: players how to dispose of the ball.
Isaac: Yeah. Can't can't criticise the umpires, but if you like go around it saying that way,
Keelan: Mm.
Isaac: then it's fine.
Keelan: Yeah.
Isaac: But probably not, it's probably getting such a long factor, let's be real.
Keelan: Dim is a little bit in the same category to be fair.
Isaac: He is, but he's a bit more I feel like he's a bit more
Keelan: Blatant.
Isaac: straight up with it.
Keelan: Yeah. Which is better. Yeah. He's also not secretly giving
Isaac: Didn't Yeah, dance around it. And and
Keelan: people farms.
Isaac: Yeah. And also he got a call from from the boss the next day saying, Hey, don't do that.
Keelan: Mm.
Isaac: Don't think Chris got a call. Although he probably he had multiple more important calls this week.
Keelan: I think Chris Scott is probably his own boss. I don't think he's I I I don't think he listens to anyone. He's been there too long.
Isaac: No, that's true. it's gonna be so shit when they get Zack butters next year, isn't it?
Keelan: No, because I don't really play a real midfield do they. Who who goes in and gets the ball for them? I guess it will be Zach Butters.
Isaac: Max Hams. It would be Zach Butters, yeah. I think the the the big one that I think was tied into your article or at least I sort of you know past couple of days was Collingwood.
Keelan: Hmm. Yeah.
Isaac: With the with the pairing, obviously.
Keelan: The all offense the all all offense midfield. Yeah.
Isaac: Yeah. but clearing a bit of mu you know, finally clearing money off their books, they have a bit of cap space to play with with
Keelan: They're still playing for paying for Birdie Grundy?
Isaac: no, they just cleared that this year. That was one of the points. Was that they cleared the final seven hundred thousand dollars or something this
Keelan: Jesus.
Isaac: earlier this year, paid that off. And then they just cleared off, you know, however much Bobby Hill was owed as well.
Keelan: No, yeah.
Isaac: Just wiped that off their books, so bit of money.
Keelan: Is he done done now?
Isaac: Bit of money there. Yeah.
Keelan: I didn't realise it was done.
Isaac: Yeah, they came to an agreement. Same with Tyson Stengel and the Cats, I believe.
Keelan: Toss the stingle who was who I was thinking about earlier.
Isaac: there you go.
Keelan: Yeah. That's why he Yeah.
Isaac: So go back around.
Keelan: Yeah. well. Unlucky. Yeah.
Isaac: moving on Saturday night.
Keelan: Yeah, surprisingly, No, you could say the thing.
Isaac: What? You want you want me to score? Right.
Keelan: Yeah, no, you can do that. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Isaac: Adelaide nine nine sixty-three. Missed that. Should've put that in the headline. Richmond seven, twelve, fifty-four.
Keelan: Well the nine nine bit. Nine
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: nine.
Isaac: Yeah, there's a couple that you could play into there.
Keelan: Well Rankin's got one opinion that's a lot like Hitler's, I think. Doesn't like the gays, so alleged. Alleged.
Isaac: Point. Alleged, allegedly. I I think he's he's moved past that. He did some training.
Keelan: Also alleged. He's alleged move past it. It plays on both sides. don't say slurs to people, kids. Jeez. Kids aren't listening to this.
Isaac: Yeah, good point.
Keelan: Adults too. Adults probably the worst defenders. anyway, speaking of rankin, I've got rankin ready and rearing to go for finals, prov proving to be the difference maker in a tough clash in the wet. factual.
Isaac: Yeah, accurate. crows barely got off the ground with their wet feathers na narrowly avoiding clutches of famously water loving tigers who were trying to confirm their spot with the other wooden spoon.
Keelan: was my other my other area I was trying to swing at to see if I could hit something. Didn't hit anything.
Isaac: Hmm. No.
Keelan: Yeah. If they lost though, it would have that absolutely would have been taking candy for a baby kind of territory. Yeah.
Isaac: easy. Home run. Yeah.
Keelan: But yeah, it is surprising.
Isaac: I'll I yeah. But were they
Keelan: It did rain though. Quite a bit.
Isaac: No, they weren't shoe they were shoeinable because Geelong were the bigger favourites, weren't they? By one cent.
Keelan: Essen and Esson and his opponent are the bigger the bigger favourites most weeks, yeah. Yeah.
Isaac: Yes, yeah. thankfully for you
Keelan: Mm. Mm.
Isaac: they did get up by nine.
Keelan: Did I pick them last way?
Isaac: You did, you had the crows, yeah. Tell you what, that would have been a stressful Saturday night if you realised.
Keelan: Yeah, I think I'm still playing magic.
Isaac: Yeah. Good good choice.
Keelan: Yeah. Yeah. No,
Isaac: Ha ha.
Keelan: I'm glad I didn't watch that though. Jesus Christ. I th it's fun
Isaac: Heart attack.
Keelan: when your team's involved, I think, in a rainy clash, but it's it's it's not a neutrals game.
Isaac: Yes. No.
Keelan: It's a switch to it, go, holy shit, it's raining and then and then move along.
Isaac: Yeah, yeah. but yeah, your your Friday night folding into that Saturday night, if you were aware of it, that would have been troublesome.
Keelan: No, Stuasy getting getting whacked by Zack. So I get whacked by Zack's team on Friday and then Zack beats me in magic on Saturday, the prick.
Isaac: deal. Gotta go ahead. All right.
Keelan: Is what it is. My smog wasn't my smog wasn't strong enough.
Isaac: pretty underpowered actually, if we're being real.
Keelan: Yeah, one arrow, dude.
Isaac: Like yeah, from like the I don't know, fifth person he encountered after being asleep for a while.
Keelan: Well I think the issue with with Smauggy is He's he likes playing with his food.
Isaac: Yeah, I suppose.
Keelan: Yeah. He could have absolutely fucked up Bilbo.
Isaac: yeah.
Keelan: Yeah.
Isaac: Yeah. But he was intrigued by him.
Keelan: Yeah. Ooh, magic ring.
Isaac: Well you didn't know what he was, either.
Keelan: Yeah. That saves him twice in the one book.
Isaac: Yeah, it does actually. Yeah.
Keelan: Don't know how to cook Hobbit.
Isaac: And never smelt one before.
Keelan: There's actually there's actually a spell a spell card for that moment which is which is great. I can't remember what it's called. I don't think I I don't think I got it, but I will be getting it and it's y it's it's something about the sun coming up and them turning the stone and the card is
Isaac: no, see.
Keelan: the card is literally just three stone trolls. Yeah.
Isaac: Yeah, not. Very cool.
Keelan: It's very thematic. Love it.
Isaac: all right. On Sunday afternoon at Honey Hole, cold, wet conditions, it was like six point eight degrees or something like that. shout out to the real footy fans who brave the conditions to get out there.
Keelan: Yeah, more fans at Minoka than they are at NG.
Isaac: Yep. GWS eleven eleven seventy seven. Gold Coast eleven thirteen seventy nine.
Keelan: I tried on this one, couldn't get anything. All I've got is Rail.
Isaac: yeah. Yeah. That's that's
Keelan: Where I started and where I finished.
Isaac: Yeah, look, that's about it. That that's about the start and finish of the of the Suns this week.
Keelan: No.
Isaac: in the cold wet conditions, Matt Rao had the footy frozen to him with forty touches. he was being very thoughtful in keeping his opponents warm with sixteen tackles, and had more clearances than Harbor Town at the end of financial year. the gigantic performance putting a dent in GWS wildcard dreams.
Keelan: Fresh.
Isaac: Yeah, thank you. And it was very fresh conditioned.
Keelan: Yeah. That was you had you had everything going for you there until that. Yeah, that's unfortunate. Where to fumble the bag, dude.
Isaac: Ten inside fifties, twenty one contested possessions, equal highest fantasy points rating of the season. Still no highlight card.
Keelan: Don't sweep ahead. But the person that got the highlight card this week,
Isaac: had less of everything. Bas score involvement, I think.
Keelan: He had a hundred and eleven fantasy points compared to the hundred and eighty two.
Isaac: Mm-hmm.
Keelan: Yep. And mind you, score involvements just means where you're you're you're part of the entire scoring chain.
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: So if your team goes front to back possession and you kicked the ball in,
Isaac: Mm.
Keelan: your score involvements go up. Don't want to insinuate
Isaac: Interesting.
Keelan: anything. But I do think
Isaac: Interesting, yeah, that works.
Keelan: you can quite easily play through a team I don't know, for example, West Coast. Front to back,
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: quite easily from a from a from a kick in.
Isaac: Mm-hmm.
Keelan: there only I mean there would would have been only about eight kick ins the whole game though. that particular game, but that that that could be a potential potential eight score involvement.
Isaac: Yeah, true, exactly.
Keelan: I'd love to see kick ins as a stat. The AFL site.
Isaac: Yeah, I'm I'm sure there's a website that does crack it. Almost positive. but yeah. Mat Matt Rail sort of conditions. Still got out there in the pregame. Shoes off in the cold. Bit of grounding. also Tuke Miller sort of conditions. Three goals, twenty three disposals.
Keelan: Mmm. The Thragalls is big.
Isaac: It was big. And Bailey Humphrey continues to not do his trade value any harm. Back into form. Almost twenty nineteen, couple goals.
Keelan: Yeah.
Isaac: If he wants to go, two first rounders.
Keelan: way. way. Some it down. There is a website that tracks kick ins, I can't figure out how it works.
Isaac: Mm.
Keelan: So, sorry about it. Hmm.
Isaac: Beyond your capability. but nice to see the Brownlow medalist back in Brownlow form.
Keelan: Hmm.
Isaac: crazy what can happen when you don't have a broken thumb and and a cooked ankle.
Keelan: It is weird how that works out.
Isaac: He's been in good form the past few weeks, actually.
Keelan: Mm.
Isaac: It'll be very interesting to see. You just know he's probably gonna get the bloody Josh Duncley all over him like a rash tag again where he gets tackled before he even touches the ball. That's what they do. Yeah,
Keelan: They're good at that up at the at the Cabertoire.
Isaac: so see how that goes. but a little post game comment by Dimmer was around Trying to fit square pegs into round holes, almost insinuating that he tried to predict what the flow of the game was going to do and the best possible way to play would be this year and got it wrong. And the past couple weeks has just gone back to a style that he knows
Keelan: Mm.
Isaac: works and he has the personnel to make work as well. Which is probably a bit more indicative of I guess the the amount of clearances the Suns have been winning, et cetera as well. Been
Keelan: Yeah.
Isaac: t they've been setting up a bit differently, a center clearance.
Keelan: And Petrarca has been, as far as I'm aware, has been setting up deeper forward.
Isaac: Yeah, I think so. And then the Sunday been setting up like defensive triangle on the center
Keelan: Hm.
Isaac: c on the center ball up. As well. trying to think I think I saw Yeah, that's right. Ned Moyle
Keelan: Mm.
Isaac: tied the season high hit outs with sixty as well. Tied Brody Grundy from earlier in the year.
Keelan: Tied with hoo. Grundy. Yeah. Wild. Yeah, well, Kieran Briggs not not overly the jumpy type compared to a compared to a moyle.
Isaac: No, but he was I think he was mainly matched up against Nick Madden. And then Bri and then Briggs and Reed.
Keelan: Madden. Nineteen of them. Absolutely chewed him up.
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: it's only two hundred and four centimetres compared to Morals two six.
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: Big boys, big boys.
Isaac: Yeah. And then and then Briggs was just out wrestling raid in the backup setups.
Keelan: Yeah, around the ground Reed would get absolutely marched on, no, in that matchup to be fair. He was born in
Isaac: Yeah. Yeah. But
Keelan: two thousand and five. Give the kid a break.
Isaac: Yeah. G give him a spell, he did also cover sixteen Ks in the game, so Rock and An doing that. Good luck.
Keelan: Where do you say that on AFL?
Isaac: on the on the app, on the tracker.
Keelan: yeah, that's right. Yeah, it's not on the website for whatever reason.
Isaac: It's so weird how they have that working like that.
Keelan: Yeah.
Isaac: So there was the the two players matched up against each other on the wing, which was Harvey Thomas and Ethan
Keelan: Mm.
Isaac: Reed, which is a absurd height mismatch to look at. Hilarious. Harvey Thomas covered seventeen point one and Ethan Reed did sixteen point one Ks.
Keelan: Jesus. That's some coverage.
Isaac: Yeah. And They averaged, Reed, average nine point four Ks an hour and Thomas nine point three Ks an hour
Keelan: Chopped him.
Isaac: for that whole time. Jade Walter, max speed. Thirty three and a half.
Keelan: Is it thirty three?
Isaac: There's three and a half kilometers anywhere. Yeah.
Keelan: Wild. Yeah, that's fast. That's very fast.
Isaac: Yeah. Yep. but yeah, hopefully, you know, something to work with. Spoiler season. on to this week. Finish with Saint Kilda. Yep. Saint Kilda on Thursday night in round twenty four. Bit of momentum going into next year.
Keelan: That'd be nice.
Isaac: Yeah. No first round pick at this stage 'cause it's tied to Melbourne, but who knows? Trades may happen. Free agency may happen.
Keelan: You have you have the blokes.
Isaac: yeah. Yeah, I'm not too worried about getting a I'm not really too worried about getting a new bloody young player in 'cause we've got enough of them. and enough older ones, but losing banking will be annoying if it happens. Although hey, here's a theory. Stays for a year, goes to Tassie.
Keelan: Or does a Year contracted the Hawks so he can go to Tazzy. Which is what I saw I saw some Zack Butter's theories about too.
Isaac: Mm.
Keelan: You get him for a year and be like, Yeah, mate, go to Tassie after this, get a billion dollars conservatively.
Isaac: Have a swing for one year.
Keelan: Yeah.
Isaac: yeah, I don't know. Is that a win for a run? Not sure.
Keelan: It's a win for J Zach Botas. Well, actually if he doesn't go to J Geelong it's win for everyone.
Isaac: Yeah, true. Good point. Good point. all right. Optostadium, West Coast,
Keelan: Bob Cheers.
Isaac: fifteen, eight, ninety eight. Collingwood seventeen, fifteen, one hundred and seventeen.
Keelan: Are you sure? It's a lot. It's a lot for them. You sure?
Isaac: It's a lot for them.
Keelan: Yeah.
Isaac: It was almost both over a hundred again.
Keelan: That's crazy. The West Coast also aren't very good.
Isaac: It accurate.
Keelan: Yeah. I I don't have anything for this one. I j I f I couldn't. I tried.
Isaac: Pies proceed with Premiership push peeking past Western pushovers to lock in top ten.
Keelan: He's he's he's gone to the well and he's and
Isaac: Pop.
Keelan: he's and he's shlurped it all up. The well's empty. Yeah. Yeah.
Isaac: Yeah, pretty much. Yeah. I I I slurped up the last bit of it and then was just sucking up air at the end there.
Keelan: Just thought of a pretty mean well of ascension r by Brandon Sinnerson reference. but I don't want to spoil anything, so you need to go ahead and o audiobook that shit so I can make this joke in the future. Thanks. Yeah.
Isaac: Okay. Right. Put a pin in that circle back. yeah, Nick Dakost a serving of a highlight card this week with thirty nine disposals and a goal, a billion less fantasy points. what's that? Fifteen less tackles, seven less clearances, one more inside fifty, a few more score involvements. Like I said to Dan in the chat, you but seems like it wasn't a highlight then, if he's doing it every week.
Keelan: Mm-hmm.
Isaac: What's the point? And and I think your your message was a completely fair statement on this one as well. out of all the weeks Yeah, out of all the weeks for him
Keelan: just looking for that message. Yeah.
Isaac: not to get a highlight or all the weeks for him to get the highlight, this one wasn't it when you compare it
Keelan: No.
Isaac: to others.
Keelan: No, not complaining not complaining that he that he that he got it, more so complaining that someone else didn't. I
Isaac: Yeah. When when other weeks he actually probably should have got one, if we're being real.
Keelan: Potentially the w the week we all complained about Essendon getting both cards, which is f fucking ridiculous.
Isaac: Yeah. First time ever.
Keelan: I to see the stats on that. I've got more on Esendon later actually, so don't scoop ahead.
Isaac: Bo both of the performances that got the highest fantasy point ranking of the year, Nas and Rao, neither of got the highlight card for that week.
Keelan: Curst.
Isaac: Because it was a week Nas did his the week Tex kicked his seventh hundred heav seventh hundredth goal, which arguably should just be a separate card, milestone.
Keelan: I mean the sorry, the all of them should be all of them every every big milestone like that should absolutely get its own. Because
Isaac: Yeah, regardless.
Keelan: except for except for the games ones, because I understand that they sell the games ones in regular packs the next year. Actually I would prefer if they just sold them weekly.
Isaac: Straight up. Yeah. You you could get like a bronze games one. And
Keelan: Yeah.
Isaac: then you could pack the others for the next year.
Keelan: Yeah, that'd be really cool. Just because like You know?
Isaac: It'd be great to have all the milestones.
Keelan: Yeah. I feel like They probably don't even I I I'd like to go through and and check who 'cause it's it's it's weird having a milestone one in a twenty twenty six set when it's referencing a game from twenty twenty five as well. It's just odd.
Isaac: It is strange, yeah.
Keelan: And it's like, well I don't e I'm not sure if they include all the milestones or if they include the biggest milestones, like three, for example, from each team. Because there's
Isaac: Mm.
Keelan: a there's a lot.
Isaac: You know, that's a really good point.
Keelan: And also a hundred percent Nick Dagos just got this one because they know it's gonna sell.
Isaac: That too. Yeah, that too.
Keelan: Which is unfortunate. I mean they got they wanna make money but also like you got like you're turn you're actively turning turning away people that already care. So hello. It's me. It's
Isaac: Mm. Mm. Yep. Good point.
Keelan: me.
Isaac: Good point. but yeah, Collingwood Bay at West Coast.
Keelan: That is yeah, that's what happened. Correct. All right, let's round it up.
Isaac: Marvel, Spuds game, Saint Kilda, eight fourteen sixty two Carlton sixteen ten one six
Keelan: I didn't reference Spud's game at all.
Isaac: Neither did I.
Keelan: importantly, Saints lose their Messiah and the game, season done.
Isaac: Mmm. Same same song sheet. Saint Kilda's finals hopes Hamstrong as Carlton win wildcard Wrangle.
Keelan: Chai.
Isaac: Yep.
Keelan: such quotes as Nas injury is an arrow through the heart yeah. Look, I don't know also I don't know if it's a spards game thing or whatever, but the blue collar can fuck off on the St Kilda kit.
Isaac: I think it must be a spot game thing.
Keelan: But hear me, they've already got three colours.
Isaac: It doesn't yeah, it's not a great
Keelan: It just kinda blends in with it one of their sponsors is majority blue, if I'm not mistaken, on the front of their thing. So it's like is this a sick invest
Isaac: Yeah. Yeah, yeah. It just looks like that. Yep.
Keelan: is that how you pronounce that? S sorry, C triple I C
Isaac: Yeah, I think you nailed it.
Keelan: Sick invest. Yeah, it looks like looks like an extra looks like they're paying for the collar. which l g given the alleged war chest they have on offer, maybe they are taking extra money from their sponsors.
Isaac: Mm-hmm. Probably. Probably. Yeah, look, the Saints are gonna have to do it they're gonna have to find someone else who isn't called Naz. Yeah.
Keelan: It does it doesn't rhyme with Nasiah Wangadin Miller.
Isaac: over the next couple weeks. But they are now two games behind.
Keelan: No, they're cooked. Yeah, no one is him. So
Isaac: Y I mean they got they got the Tigers this week, luckily. Carlton have the dogs and then they've got the Sons and Carlton have the Dockers. So it's not impossible. they do have slightly very marginally better percentage than Carlton, but Not completely locked in yet. The top nine is locked in. Last spot comes out to the last two rounds.
Keelan: Man, maybe if they had won this, it wouldn't it wouldn't matter too much that they lost Naz. But they lost him so
Isaac: Mm.
Keelan: early, he touched ball four times.
Isaac: Yeah, within the first ten minutes.
Keelan: Yeah, it's cooked.
Isaac: Good. To be fair, he didn't train during the week as well.
Keelan: with hamstring concern?
Isaac: I was trying to blame I think it was like back issues, which obviously, you know, hand
Keelan: It's all part of the same chine, isn't
Isaac: bones connected to the backbone or whatever the song says.
Keelan: This whole stand up pod thing's really made me be a little bit more animated, I yeah.
Isaac: Very animated. Ugh But yeah, peop people trying to Yeah,
Keelan: trying to try to try to get my sore angle mobile.
Isaac: very good. People trying to blame the sort of limited warm up with the the Spuds game ceremony, pre match, which was delightful,
Keelan: Mm.
Isaac: it's very good. But also the guy didn't train during the week and bits connected to the hamstring, no good.
Keelan: Hmm.
Isaac: So
Keelan: He didn't look like he was moving it. Immense immense speed, mind you.
Isaac: No.
Keelan: I've just played it with f sound full volume. Yep. No, he just he just reached just slightly What's happened here bad handball? That's the issue.
Isaac: And then he just had to reach a little bit for it and it
Keelan: Yeah.
Isaac: was like El Classico Hammy.
Keelan: Yeah. Not quite sniper hammy. Yeah, eight minutes in,
Isaac: Little further reach. No.
Keelan: there you go, sorry.
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: Fucking AFL riders. Hold on. Literally there's no writer credited.
Isaac: At all. How good?
Keelan: Not at the top of it. They they said he's dashing
Isaac: Not even Starfrodus.
Keelan: to the wing, which to me, if I only read that and didn't watch this video, I'd think man's moving at thirty three kilometres an hour, Jed Walter.
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: But no, he's he's essentially meandering to the wing and then he does his hamstring.
Isaac: Yeah, moving to the wing, sure. Dashing? Mm, not sure about that.
Keelan: I'd argue running. Like you can absolutely use running. Dashing no.
Isaac: Yeah. Dashing? Don't think so. Not quite.
Keelan: Do you hear that? Emma's now singing fucking Christmas carols. Dashing through the snow and such.
Isaac: Well sucks to be you.
Keelan: Hmm.
Isaac: I can't hear it.
Keelan: you couldn't hear it? Well that's probably best for the pod. Yeah.
Isaac: For the best. all right. Wrapping it up. shoeing of the week. You had the crows at one by nine. I had the swans are one by ninety-seven. Nice little healthy boost. Healthy boosts there. you're on nineteen with a margin of five hundred and nine. I'm on twenty with a margin of seven hundred and sixty. any news?
Keelan: Yup. Useless AFL starts have made a website.
Isaac: They've made website.
Keelan: Yeah.
Isaac: I I
Keelan: Stand by.
Isaac: I don't know how I feel about that.
Keelan: You haven't I haven't told you what the website is just yet. Yep. it might not be live yet. I saved it on my Facebook though, and I've now lost it. Wow. All panic
Isaac: U useless A4 starts dot com dot AU.
Keelan: We are we are building a website. The most important page is ready. What else needs to be done? first page is since Essendon won a final. Esnon and haven't won a final since fourth of September two thousand and four. At this point, even the counter has finals experience. and it gives different units of measurement for how long it's been since they've won a final. So do you do do you want to know how many years?
Isaac: Sure.
Keelan: Twenty one of them. That's eight thousand and
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: ten days, one hundred and ninety-two thousand two hundred and forty-nine hours, eleven million five hundred and thirty four thousand nine hundred and eighty-eight minutes, six hundred and ninety-two million ninety-nine thousand three hundred and eighteen seconds, or or eight hundred and seven million four hundred and forty nine thousand two hundred and five heartbeats at an approximation of seventy beats per minute. When that website is live and there appears to be a drop down box in the heartbeat section and I can change it to some other silly unit of measurement.
Isaac: Excellent.
Keelan: I'll be over the moon.
Isaac: How good. Now I I don't know yeah, I don't know how I feel about the premise of them having a website in particular. only because I want a stat to be completely useless to me in in the way that I just happen upon it scrolling through social media.
Keelan: If it's this counters style stuff where it's it's ongoing calculation of of silly time based things and,
Isaac: Mm.
Keelan: you know, blog posts of their silly stats and then they
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: run a few ads and make a little bit of money from it, I'm totally okay because currently they're they're they're probably putting in a lot of effort for absolutely zero return.
Isaac: Yeah, that's true. I guess that's true. but like if if they get to the point of being a website that has a search function that you can look up stats, those are no longer useless stats.
Keelan: Well, they are. They're useless in the way that they're just dumb.
Isaac: They're not because you have a use for them, because you want to know the answer.
Keelan: useful in the way that it's content from a podcast as well, so they're already not useless stats.
Isaac: Well I guess yeah, th that's true.
Keelan: Come at me, bruh. We're talking about it. It's already not useless.
Isaac: We are talking about it. Yeah. They're gonna have to change their name.
Keelan: Moderately useful AFL statistics.
Isaac: Yeah, useful at times, AFL stat.
Keelan: Sometimes maybe useful, sometimes maybe shit. AFL stats.
Isaac: Yeah, I think that would do well.
Keelan: Hmm. I'll pigeon to them.
Isaac: very good. Well, good luck to I'd make a bit
Keelan: Yeah.
Isaac: of money.
Keelan: That's the yeah, hopefully. That's the only thing I have for AFL news actually.
Isaac: Yeah, cool.
Keelan: Not a lot kicking around.
Isaac: Should be
Keelan: Yep. Mushroom tip.
Isaac: Do do some tips in. T tips out for the boys.
Keelan: Yeah. all right, so first up, Friday the 14th of August, we've got Fremantle hosting Adelaide.
Isaac: it's probably Fremantle isn't isn't it really?
Keelan: We got Fremantle. I mean if Adelaide win this, fucking hell mate. We got we got some sores coming into finals at that point.
Isaac: yeah. That that would really make it interesting. Pre-metal by man, I don't know. But thir is thirty right?
Keelan: I've done twenty five. I am maybe
Isaac: Yeah. I it
Keelan: the worst margin picker in the history of the AFL though.
Isaac: Yeah, you're pretty no good on the margin, to be fair.
Keelan: Yeah. No, but like not even not even just the shoe in margins, which are whatever,
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: but like in the tipping leaderboard margin a billion. Yeah.
Isaac: Yeah. Yeah. weather is fine. So so you know, wet weather close one, not a factor here.
Keelan: Night game, Wolfie time, full effect. No Thursday game this week.
Isaac: AFLW started. So AFLW season opener was doubleheader before Spuds game. they have a their second game of the season, I suppose, is on Thursday night.
Keelan: AF Hawk Hawk Don's A F L W I think is Thursday night.
Isaac: There you go. have a look. I think I I think I'll put my tips in for it.
Keelan: I was gonna get membership for that actually. 'Cause it's very cost effective. Can't go to any of the Hawthorne games.
Isaac: Mm hock days.
Keelan: Well it's close.
Isaac: Clice. At Icon Park. anyway, back to the AFL feels like Fremantle could win by a billion.
Keelan: Just been a little bit robo for me. But Not what you said. You say you're better now. Did you say something b something that Adelaide might win?
Isaac: Any any better now? Okay. I I said feels like Freya could win by a billion. Yeah, quite easily.
Keelan: it feels like they could. But does also feel like they could lose.
Isaac: That too. I'm I'm gonna go thirty still.
Keelan: Yep, that's very fair. This one th th next game on Saturday, first game Saturday, twelve thirty five PM, MCG, Richmond St Kilda is harder than it looks.
Isaac: It certainly is more interesting based on the injuries.
Keelan: Mind you, Saint Kilder still something to play for. I'm happy to tip Saint Kilda here and and not be silly and tip Richmond. but I need to be ballsy
Isaac: I think that
Keelan: to take Daniel, don't I?
Isaac: Yeah, I'm I'm too far behind at this point.
Keelan: I might get him based on him tipping Collingwood against Hawthorne.
Isaac: Yeah, probably.
Keelan: yeah, all right, I'll commit St. Kilda. Saint Kilda.
Isaac: That's the smart play.
Keelan: Yeah.
Isaac: They can still they they still have something to play for.
Keelan: Yeah, there's enough games for me to still make a risky choice, I think.
Isaac: Yeah, yeah. Richmond play two close games in a row? Probably not. Let's be real.
Keelan: Unlikely, it's not gonna piss down.
Isaac: Marvel North Melbourne Geelong.
Keelan: I got J Long.
Isaac: Probably Geelong, hey.
Keelan: Yeah.
Isaac: Alright, at the Gabba Pineapple Grapple Lion Sunshine.
Keelan: Yeah. Forex fuck around.
Isaac: Spoiler season. Hey, that's not bad.
Keelan: Yeah. it's Lions.
Isaac: I can I can see how that could be the case.
Keelan: You tip in the Suns. Ballsy.
Isaac: I'm gonna go spoil the face and yep. Banana peel.
Keelan: Yeah. and then Ooh, that's a nice slot. Seven forty PM, Hawthorne Collingwood.
Isaac: new another name option, the banana bender beat down.
Keelan: Ooh Ooh tomana.
Isaac: Haven't seen that one float around before. Yep. sorry. Hulk Collingwood. Prom time.
Keelan: I got hock. And then w once you finish the first quarter of one game, you can switch over to the other game for five minutes and d then come back. it's it's Port Melbourne and it's it's Melbourne getting tested by a by an injured Port Adelaide side. Away from the MCG though, so I I still have picked the demons, yeah.
Isaac: Mm. Away from C G. Yeah, good point. That makes it slightly trickier. But yeah, you yeah. I mean, based on a couple of weeks ago we know they can play away from the G.
Keelan: We don't talk about the Lonsess, incident.
Isaac: I was talking about at at Docklands.
Keelan: Funny one.
Isaac: the G Spot
Keelan: I might go to this. This sounds great.
Isaac: Yeah, G Spot Giants and West Coast Eagles.
Keelan: Actually a double header, they are doing GWS West Coast AFLW before this. Keep getting ad keep getting ads for it.
Isaac: nice. Okay. There you go.
Keelan: I will not be spending my entire day at NG Stadium though.
Isaac: Hm.
Keelan: GWS to win this.
Isaac: Yep. Agree. here we go. Tricky one. w another wildcard matchup here. Bulldogs Carlton under the dome.
Keelan: I think I think I think Carlton.
Isaac: You gotta back the freight train, all right?
Keelan: You have to Josh Freight Train.
Isaac: The the Fraser Fright Trine.
Keelan: Yeah. Well you have to. I think I don't like either of them, but but when I look at Carlton I go, Mm, they're working on something here and I look at the Bulldogs and I Ooh, what's going on here? also Tim English had nays soreness.
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: Deep heat medical room, round twenty three, the latest on Team English. Ooh, estimated return TBC. That's not good.
Isaac: no good. and ba based on form, recent form, you gotta take Carlton.
Keelan: They are they are inverse form diagrams currently. Yep.
Isaac: Yep. Yep.
Keelan: Connor Butterick's still out. Bailey Dale's still out. Bailey Dial's still out. they're cooked, mate.
Isaac: They they are lucky that they're locked in already.
Keelan: This makes the wild card less exciting though, doesn't it? 'Cause they're fucked. Cause just
Isaac: Based on that injury list. It does. Yeah.
Keelan: just sorry, there was actually some there was actually some news. Connor Nash is confirmed out for the season after being T B C with his neck nerve problems for a while. so yeah, spoilers for dogs fans, that T B C gonna be turning into not playing finals for Tim English.
Isaac: fair enough. And
Keelan: The the
Isaac: Finishing up four forty Sunday.
Keelan: Absolute fucking dust up. Getting beat down by the swans.
Isaac: Or auto absolute auto pick of the round.
Keelan: Can't shoe r game of the year.
Isaac: Can't show yeah. This one's. As long as it is.
Keelan: Mm.
Isaac: all right, so next shoe option.
Keelan: This is shit. There's actually not a lot of great options. I might have to take Brisbane. Ow! I just kicked the floor.
Isaac: look, it's d rude in my ears, but I can see why you do it.
Keelan: Yeah, I need the I need it. What you should do is you should shoot the suns.
Isaac: I'm not gonna do that.
Keelan: Yeah, I'll have to
Isaac: Maybe. giants are an option.
Keelan: Yeah, yeah, I d I don't I don't really believe in them.
Isaac: You don't believe in him that much.
Keelan: I didn't get whacked by the Giants last week. Yeah.
Isaac: Right, so you you're on Brisbane then?
Keelan: Yeah, lock it in.
Isaac: Right. Damon's for me.
Keelan: Yeah, nice.
Isaac: Which I think is still a bit of a ballsy pick, but yeah.
Keelan: It is a little bit. But it but it also shouldn't be. I think it's just 'cause they're s they're still underrated, yeah.
Isaac: Yeah. It exactly. It yeah, it it shouldn't be. but it is a bit of a ballsy pick. I don't trust the giants. Yeah.
Keelan: No, not at all. I guess it's football. Well, it's AFL. It's forty.
Isaac: That is. bidding news today. Carlton interim coach Josh Fraser officially put his hand up for the head gig. So he's gonna he's included himself in the what is it now
Keelan: I wish I knew that.
Isaac: now five in the official race for the top job.
Keelan: so he's not he's not official coach yet.
Isaac: No, he's just p put himself up for potential selection in the process.
Keelan: Okay. Well, we probably want to if he does become full time coach, we probably need watch that game and just make sure that if new coach bounce affects when someone turns from interim to full time coach.
Isaac: Hmm, good point. That that's
Keelan: Yeah.
Isaac: yeah, probably a smart stat to track. Really No. Yeah. At least we have the data on it. Yep, smart.
Keelan: Yeah, yeah. Doesn't happen very often, so it'd be good to have the one time. Yeah. Yeah. One data better than none data. Science says.
Isaac: all right, so he joins Thank Kilder assistant Corey Enright, Geelong assistant James Kelly, free medal assistant Jamie Graham, and Hawthorne's head of development, Daniel John Saracuza. Who are the other four
Keelan: Hey!
Isaac: candidates for the job?
Keelan: Don't touch my giant circus.
Isaac: but yeah. Good luck to me.
Keelan: The core of the of the Carlton Football Club doesn't really need development right now, does it? So I feel like you'd be silly not
Isaac: No, probably not.
Keelan: to just not to just keep him around given the the work he's done.
Isaac: Mm.
Keelan: sorry, mate.
Isaac: Like
Keelan: Can we see your work history, at other clubs?
Isaac: Yeah, you might as well give it a run at this point, right?
Keelan: If they ask for his resume, it it's like the it's like the ATO asking for something from Medicare. You know? It's like you're all the same people, dude. It just to figure it out.
Isaac: Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Exactly. yeah, just have a look. H here's here's how I've gone. the team was Owen and we've lost two games since I joined. We're like the second best or equal best record since I joined.
Keelan: Yeah.
Isaac: So
Keelan: That's a good time to bait them people sign.
Isaac: Hey, good point.
Keelan: Yep. but yeah, I've got nothing else for AfL. No.
Isaac: Nope. Excellent. Any any football in it?
Keelan: Absolutely zero. Well, Liverpool signed a centre back. And by signed
Isaac: Okay.
Keelan: I mean got a loan. It's Barcelona's captain.
Isaac: sick. Little Jack Steel sort of action. Hey mate, don't need you anymore, go find another club.
Keelan: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. I think his name man, fuck. Where's he from? He's from Uruguay. So his name's spelt A R A U with a dash J O, so I'm gonna go with a Rujo.
Isaac: Hey, sounds good enough.
Keelan: yeah, so I've been listening to the Anfield Rap and there's some there's some positivity around it. it's a lone move, which means we're not on the hook for him. on the books indefinitely, which is good.
Isaac: Mm-hmm.
Keelan: and he's twenty seven, so in theory coming into his peak as a centre back. so look, if he stamps his spot, that's good. Otherwise, the little the little Italian fella that we signed and then did his ACL on his first game will be back p Christmas or something. So we've got young fellas. So I think I think it's I think it's actually not bad. It's a pretty solid no nonsense kind of kind of thing, which is why it feels a bit woof and a bit you know, so I'm actually happy about it.
Isaac: Excellent. Very good. Very
Keelan: Yeah. Love that.
Isaac: very good. all right, reminder. Cricket. Test cricket's back.
Keelan: Trigger is back.
Isaac: Summer summer of cricket starts now.
Keelan: I do have one stat, one cricket stat.
Isaac: Go for it.
Keelan: I've put down in the in the in the outline Travis Head Goat. and I should probably say, you know, Amongst Goats. he has joined illustrious company by winning back to back Allen Border medals.
Isaac: Nice.
Keelan: which is like the Brownlow of cricket for all the footy fans out there. when I say goats, he he he really has joined some pretty crazy Fellas, he's joined Ricky Ponting, Shane Watson, Michael Clark, David Warner, as a back to back winner.
Isaac: Mm, you might have heard of some of those guys.
Keelan: Potentially
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: just a reminder that Shane Watson was good before everyone was memeing him for reviewing obvious LBW decisions.
Isaac: Not not to say that he didn't just auto-review obvious LBWs, but like two things can be true at the same time.
Keelan: Yeah. w what was definitely true by this statistic is two thousand ten, two thousand eleven, he was the best Australian cricketer. Yeah. Yeah, there you go.
Isaac: good. but yeah, you know what I'm looking forward to?
Keelan: cricket.
Isaac: I am. In particular ABC Grandstein's coverage of the cricket, which is sending
Keelan: with your mate.
Isaac: Corbin Middlemass and Ben Cameron up on Thursday night to get that working.
Keelan: This is my this is my ABC grandstand dance. Not sponsored.
Isaac: Not sponsored. but shout out. You know, the the best way to listen to the cricket.
Keelan: Corbs.
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: Yeah, great, great. When's the first game?
Isaac: Starts on Thursday.
Keelan: Finishes on Thursday against Bangladesh might
Isaac: Yeah. Well, not if we bat first, hopefully.
Keelan: Can you force a follow on if
Isaac: If you haven't batted yet.
Keelan: Yeah, yeah. Could we get all out for fifty across two innings and go, Yeah, boys, do we really need to have a crack here?
Isaac: yeah, yeah. What happens if you bowl him out for none twice in a row?
Keelan: I think you win some kind of prestigious award.
Isaac: Surely.
Keelan: Yeah, that'd be insane.
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: I mean the last time the these teams these teams don't like each other. Throughout the record books.
Isaac: Not gonna lie, I thought the Bangladesh
Keelan: Yeah. Go on then.
Isaac: flag was did a bit more than what it's doing.
Keelan: No, the Bangladesh flag is this is the some cot subcontinent's version of the Japanese flag. Yeah.
Isaac: Yeah. Yeah. I I think 'cause like I just lump it in mentally with like India and Pakistan and Sri Lanka,
Keelan: Yeah.
Isaac: for example. a bit going on.
Keelan: All having, you know, remotely cool flags.
Isaac: Yeah. and then I look down and see this and I say, well Is is the circle slightly off center? Yeah, okay. I thought it was just me.
Keelan: Yes, correct. Yeah.
Isaac: but yeah, cricket.
Keelan: Bangladesh should beat Pakistan recently, I suppose. So They're not playing they're not playing a lot of those
Isaac: Now those two teams don't like each other.
Keelan: those those yeah, that's a that's a region. they beat Ireland in the T twenty.
Isaac: Hey, that's something.
Keelan: Ireland also beat them in a T twenty, so do with that what you will. They haven't played a lot of Test cricket against top nations recently, so yeah.
Isaac: Understandably. well.
Keelan: it's a good warm up for the summer of cricket. Yep. Sri Lanka whacked dude, all the way back
Isaac: throughout coup a couple of days and then we're rolling. Yep.
Keelan: in twenty twenty five. Yeah, alright, we're in for a treat, I think, on Thursday night. Well Thursday. Yeah. anyway, who is Ladesh?
Isaac: How good. How good. Yeah. all right, let's let's
Keelan: Thank you, thank you. On that note.
Isaac: let's flip a coin.
Keelan: Let's flop a flop a coin.
Isaac: I think it's my flip. Forgot to open spreadsheet.
Keelan: Yeah, I remember being immensely disappointed last year last year. Fucking Jesus.
Isaac: Disappointed last week? Yeah.
Keelan: I'm just happy this week
Isaac: hope.
Keelan: that I don't don't have to choose, you know.
Isaac: Yeah, fair enough. Sometimes sometimes the pressure choice is yeah. Too much at times. Right. My flip where's the Share button, there it is.
Keelan: Yeah.
Isaac: I've got eyes, don't worry. All right, flipping tails. how good. How good. lovely Tales win there. shout out to Google Targeted Ads with the CPAP machine at the top of my screen.
Keelan: I was gonna say yeah. I was preparing a roast for ya.
Isaac: God.
Keelan: Do a bit of sleep out shopping mate.
Isaac: How good. I I haven't recently, but that one's like it's one of those things that's just in my mind for the not too
Keelan: Yeah.
Isaac: distant future probably. So yeah.
Keelan: Give Harry a buzz.
Isaac: That's that's one of the one one of those ads that's just like mentally connected to what you're thinking about, which come up on Facebook far too often.
Keelan: Yeah, no, but seriously give Harry Buzzer give you some hands on hands
Isaac: Yeah.
Keelan: on review.
Isaac: So if if you're worried about
Keelan: I can you can get a discount from from Medicare.
Isaac: maybe. I don't know. If if you're worried about the ABS having your information when you feel at the census, probably be more worried about Facebook serving you up targeted ads of stuff you've thought about and not searched on your phone yet. Which occurs. Yep.
Keelan: Dodgy. Yeah.
Isaac: all right, forty two and thirty for myself.
Keelan: fuck off.
Isaac: I'm three from my last three. And he's disappeared into the room. All right. in that case, see you next week. scon off.
Keelan: Yeah.
