Speaker 1: You're listening to a Mamma Mia podcast. Good morning, Spillers. I'm Chelsea Hoi, senior content producer here at Mamma Mia, jumping in to host Morning Tea today. Coming up, we have a surprise international guest making a return to Aussie TV, a heartbreaking reality TV split that has everyone talking, and Taylor Swift making history yet again. Let's get into it. Starting with some sad celebrity news today, one of our favorite power couples has called it quits, and I am personally devastated by this one. Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stouse and Aussie singer G Flip have officially split after more than four years together. In a tearful video posted to Instagram on Tuesday, Chrishell shared what she called a humbling update with her followers. Here's a bit of it now.

Speaker 2: I have a pretty humbling update to share with you guys. G and I are no longer together and we have agreed to treat this public separation with love and respect for each other. That's not hard for me because I in love with this person and I don't have.
00:01:30
Speaker 3: All the information or the reasons and I just I'm sure just like always with time you know you get the lessons you're meant to to get and I know that will happen and I'm gonna heal and everything's gonna be fine I'm definitely never doing this again.
00:01:51
Speaker 1: G Flip has since posted their own statement on Instagram, writing that their head and heart are feeling very heavy right now. They said, The two first met back in 2021 before going public in 2022 and had a symbolic Las Vegas wedding ceremony in May 2023. They even made a pact to renew their vows every single year, including an epic medieval-themed ceremony in an LA castle last year. They really seemed like each other's biggest cheerleaders, so to see it come to an end is so sad. We are sending so much love to both Chrishell and G right now. Now to some massive music news that has hip-hop fans losing their minds. We did hint at this on Morning Tea last week, but now it's officially confirmed. Jay-Z is officially headlining next year's Super Bowl halftime show in Los Angeles. Now, for a bit of context, Jay-Z's entertainment company, Roc Nation, has been producing the halftime show since 2019. He's the mastermind who gave us Rihanna, Usher, Dr. Dre, and Kendrick Lamar. For years now, Jay-Z has been associated with the event while staying behind the scenes. In 2024, when asked if he would headline the show himself, he told Entertainment Tonight, I thought it would be selfish to pick myself too early. Maybe one year. Maybe. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodall revealed that when they first signed the deal with Roc Nation, he had one request. that Jay-Z take the stage himself one day when the time felt right. And clearly, that time is now. In a press release about the announcement, Jay-Z said, The announcement comes right after Jay wrapped up two huge shows at SoFi Stadium over the weekend, which just happens to be the exact venue where the Super Bowl is going down. And naturally, the million-dollar question on everyone's lips... Is Queen Bee going to join him on stage? We will just have to wait and see. Now on to a very familiar Duchess heading back down under. Meghan Markle is officially returning to Aussie TV. The Duchess of Sussex has just signed on as a special guest judge for the huge reboot of Junior MasterChef Australia coming to Channel 10 next year. Now, MasterChef fans will know that this is not Meghan's first rodeo when it comes to Aussie cooking shows. She made a guest appearance on MasterChef Australia back in April and it did, well, very well. The episode literally pulled the show's highest Sunday audience in over three years. Megan released a statement about her return saying, I had an incredible time with the whole team at MasterChef this past April, so when they approached me to come back and work with this young group of talent, it was an easy yes. I love cooking with my own kids, so seeing what these young stars create in the kitchen is going to be a.
00:04:26
Speaker 2: Lot of fun.
00:04:27
Speaker 1: I can't wait to see what they cook up. She'll be joining Aussie favorite Po Ling Yao. Po says she had such a lovely time filming with Megan earlier this year that reuniting with her on set is going to be a real treat. Between her lifestyle series With Love Megan and her chopped junior judging days way back in 2016, Megan is really leading into her foodie era. Still to come, one of our favorite women to talk about here on the pod is doing great things yet again and a relationship reveal from a celeb couple that has a history of being a little controversial. To music royalty now. Taylor Swift has just made history again. At 36 years old, Taylor has officially become the youngest person ever inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. She was inducted by her old tourmate, Brad Paisley, and she was serenaded by country superstar Laini Wilson, who did a stripped-back cover of Love Story. In true Taylor fashion, when she took to the stage to give her speech, she poked fun at Brad Paisley for a vicious tour prank from back in 2007, revealing he once filled her entire tour bus with thousands of live crickets. Taylor joked, for months I couldn't sleep. Just chirp, chirp, chirp, chirp all night. I considered buying a pet lizard to eradicate the problem. It was a dark time. But you know what? You did such an amazing job with the introduction. I think we can let bygones be bygones.
00:05:44
Speaker 2: We're good now. Iconic.
00:05:46
Speaker 1: But she also got reflective about moving to Nashville as a teenager with big dreams and yellow curly hair, saying she looked like an actual kitchen sponge soaking everything up. She reminisced about running upstairs to tell frequent collaborator Liz Rose high school gossip and dealing with co-writers' hangovers before writing global hits. She took home the Big Songwriters Hall of Fame honor in New York back in June, so to get Nashville's highest songwriting honor in the very same year proves once again that she is simply in a league of her own. And finally, Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are proving once again that their marriage operates on an entirely different frequency to the rest of us. Kristen appeared on Dax's Armchair Expert podcast alongside her Nobody Wants This co-stars, including Adam Brody, to chat about season three, and things took a very chaotic turn into their relationship dynamics. Kristen revealed that Dax's primary way of flirting with her is by aggressively complimenting other people in front of her.
00:06:41
Speaker 2: Yes, really.
00:06:42
Speaker 1: She explained to her baffled co-stars that when they go out for dinner, Dax will casually look at their waiter or waitress and say things like, wow, you have incredible eyelashes, gorgeous eyes, great job. Now, for most people, myself included, this may seem bizarre, but Kristen says it genuinely gives her butterflies. She said, that's flirting with me because he's just made someone else feel good. He's going to have zero interaction with this girl for the rest of his life. But to me, to know that my partner actively smiles at people and gives them compliments... It makes me flattery inside. I'm with the guy that's pouring compliments on people. Dax did admit there are strict boundaries to this public flattery routine, saying he never comments on lips because that crosses a line. Words of affirmation directed at complete strangers might not be in the standard marriage handbook, but after almost 20 years together, hey, if it works, it works. Thank you so much for listening to today's episode. This episode of Morning Tea was hosted and produced by me, Chelsea Hoy, and The Spill will be back in your feed this afternoon.
00:07:42
Speaker 3: Bye.
00:07:45
Speaker 1: Mamma Mia acknowledges the traditional owners of the land we have recorded this podcast on, the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation. We pay our respects to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
