ABOUT THIS EPISODE
On this week’s episode of THE SCRIPT, Cardale Jones, Beanie Wells, and host Dave Holmes break down all the latest Ohio State football headlines from the past few weeks. The guys dive into Ryan Day’s son, RJ Day, committing to play for Chip Kelly and the Northwestern Wildcats, react to Ohio State’s brand-new Tunnel Vision uniforms, and celebrate the historic NFL Draft success of the Buckeyes’ 2024 national championship defense. Plus, they discuss the lasting impact of Ted Ginn Sr. on generations of Ohio State athletes and debate whether LeBron James should return to Cleveland to finish his legendary NBA career. Will RJ Day thrive under Chip Kelly in Chicago, or could things get awkward between Ohio State and its former assistant coach? Cardale and Beanie give their thoughts on one of the more fascinating offseason storylines in college football. The crew also has plenty of fun reacting to Ohio State’s new uniforms and shares their favorite Buckeye jersey combinations of all time — along with what they’d love to see next from the program. After a historic NFL Draft that saw all 11 starters from Ohio State’s 2024 championship defense get selected, the guys reflect on what made that defense so special and what it means for the Buckeyes moving forward. Later in the show, thanks to our friends at Buckeye Basement Solutions, the crew discusses proposed changes to the college football calendar, including conference championship games, the exclusivity of the Army-Navy game, and possible scheduling changes across the sport. Plus, Julian Sayin made headlines with his recent comments on The Triple Option with Urban Meyer, and the crew breaks down everything the future Buckeye QB had to say. And don’t miss next week’s episode featuring special guest Urban Meyer. Finally, with LeBron James and the Lakers eliminated from the playoffs, the guys ask the big question: should LeBron return to Cleveland and end his iconic career where it all began? #sports #football #NFL #nfldraft Thank you to our sponsors: Dr Pepper - It's a Pepper Thing!
