With Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein in theatres & coming to Netflix + Wesley Snipes appearing in Deadpool & Wolverine, Aaron & Tara are BACK to give their Blade II Reaction, Recap, Commentary, Breakdown, & Spoiler Review! Directed by Academy Award winner Guillermo del Toro (The Shape of Water, Pan’s Labyrinth), Blade II (2002) takes Marvel’s Daywalker saga to new, blood-soaked heights. Wesley Snipes (Demolition Man, White Men Can’t Jump) returns as Blade, the half-human, half-vampire warrior sworn to rid the world of the undead. This time, Blade must form an uneasy alliance with the Bloodpack — a lethal team of vampires led by Nyssa Damaskinos (Leonor Varela – Cleopatra, Arrested Development) and Asad (Danny John-Jules – Red Dwarf, Maid Marian and Her Merry Men) — to stop a terrifying new breed of predator: the Reapers. With their grotesque split jaws and insatiable thirst, the Reapers threaten both humans and vampires alike. Memorable moments include the explosive nightclub fight, Blade’s intense sword battles, and the shocking reveal of Nomak (Luke Goss – Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Death Race 2) as the first of the Reapers and Nyssa’s brother. Also starring Kris Kristofferson (A Star Is Born, Lone Star) as Whistler, Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead, The Boondock Saints) as Scud, and Ron Perlman (Hellboy, Sons of Anarchy) as Reinhardt, Blade II is a gothic action-horror classic filled with del Toro’s signature visuals, martial arts spectacle, and bloody mayhem. Aaron Alexander & Tara Erickson react to, review, and break down the legendary fights, monster design, and Blade’s enduring impact on Marvel and comic book cinema.
