ABOUT THIS EPISODE
BALLINESIAN PODCAST ON THE POLYTICKIN NETWORK
Welcome to the first Ballinesian episode of the 2026 NFL New Year! Excited to get things going on the gridiron and see which one of our teams ascends to the playoffs and beyond. We'll start this episode with lessons we learned from this summer's fantasy football draft season: Get your Guys!Send in names of Pacific athletes, coaches and supporters in all sports that you're proud of or you think deserve more coverage. We're hoping to highlight a different Ballinesian each week and why their story or work is important. Lots of college names doing their thing this week too.
Instead of predicting who would win the Chargers game vs the Cardinals or the Raiders match against the visiting Dolphins (you know who we're picking lol), we'll give you some game outcomes we think are going to play out on the field this week: Brennan Thompson gets a chance on a deep shot, Mike Washington gets in the game a breaks an explosive run (Edit: Brock Bowers underwent meniscus "trim" surgery suddenly and will be out for the first game or two). We'll also discuss whether Jeremiah Love or Tyler Allgier will get more carries, which of Puka, Tua and Tetairoa will score more, and if Jaxson Dart will be a let down in Week 1. (Yes.)
American Samoa Senators and everyone of Facebook are asking questions about a $10 million investment that ASG made this year. We'll infodump on it as well. What do you think is going on?Shout out to our trends of the week we noticed: First Wave Project in Waikiki gets tourists to take an impromptu surf lessons and Forest sees people doing the "What You Look Like in the 80s" trend. AI? Boooooooo!
