ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Step into the DeLorean, fire up the flux capacitor, and travel all the way back to Day 1 of The Pennsylvania Rock Show Flashback. In this special episode, host Bill Domiano rewinds to September 14, 2004—the very beginning of the journey—and reconnects with a key figure from those early days, Brian Shaffer.
This episode revisits one of the first breakout tracks to gain major attention through the show, “Stranded” by KAJ. Bill and Brian dive into the story behind the song, what was happening in the scene at the time, and how it became one of the earliest fan-favorite hits associated with The Pennsylvania Rock Show. They also reflect on the early days of the show itself and the role that music like “Stranded” played in building its identity.
From there, the conversation fast-forwards to today, where Brian shares his current musical direction and creative evolution. The episode also features his solo track “Supposed to Be Family,” showcasing how his sound and perspective have grown over the years.
As always, the episode includes both “Stranded” and “Supposed to Be Family,” connecting the origins of the show with the present-day artistry of one of its early contributors.
The Pennsylvania Rock Show Flashback travels through time with Bill Domiano as he revisits the songs that helped shape the show, reconnects with the artists behind them, and explores where they are now in the music scene.
